the suffix for male genders is ‘nec’, female genders is ‘gen’, and neutral genders is ‘gec’ - all come from the abbreviation gnc! the prefix ‘formare’ is a latin word meaning ‘to form’, and it is part of the latin word ‘conformare’, which is where the word ‘conform’ originates from. i decided to use ‘formare’ because i felt it ties together both the idea of nonconformity and the idea that these genders are ‘formed’ by a union of one’s gender and gender nonconformity.
