So I've binned off writing lately, I just can't even contemplate it right now. Like, it's not burn out and it's not block it's just a general meh. What is this? How do I get back on it? Because emotionally I want to write but nothing happening?

I'ma be honest, mpreg fics more often than not bother me and gross me out to the point of just, not reading it at all. And here's why.

1. The guy is not trans. He's a perfectly cis dude who gets pregnant through anal sex. Just have a fucking trans guy if you want pregnancy. What's the point of women existing in your world if men can get pregnant too? It feels like a redundancy in nature and these implications should be thought about, like in #2

2. No actual thought as to the implications of otherwise completely male people getting pregnant on the world building. There aren't male snails that can get pregnant and inseminate other snails and female snails that can only get pregnant.

3. If you want the guys to have a kid, Adoption exists???

Its just so frustrating to me, sloppy world building, and annoying. If you want drama you don't have to have one of the guys get pregnant, and there is no thought as to why the guy can get pregnant other than, "lmao why not?"

Do you ever have a fic idea pop in your head and you're like "oh YES I need to write this now" so you start typing but it comes really slowly so you decide to write out your planning, events, character, etc. to get a more cohesive idea of what you wanna write but then you start getting really invested in the details in your planning and you start making notes on the notes for yourself about x when y does z and suddenly your 'planning' sheet is a jumble of writing that's literally longer than what you have written of the actual fic. And you realize this is no longer going to be a short one-shot but a long slow burn fic.

funniest thing, though, is that This Fic is Mostly Fluff, Entirely Precious and Utterly Adorable, I just haven't really read anything since chapter 80 because RL stuff I ain't gonna say.

(Though the thing I did learn from that? Start planning and applying for jobs Before you leave University/College, both your wallet and your mental health will thank you.)
