This is me giving you permission to talk about your SuperChargers AU!! Literally just anything about it!! I love seeing people’s different takes on what a Kaos redemption arc would look like. I still get so sad when I think about how Kaos just goes back to being evil in Imaginators. Like man c’mon. We could’ve had it all.

The power you’ve given me..unreal. But I think about a Kaos redemption arc pretty often since multiple people on here have talked about Kaos’s childhood and stuff like that.

Which is why I think in this Superchargers AU, instead of fighting Kaos before the darkness. You’d fight his mom.

I didn’t bring it up in this. But I wanted to talk about how maybe after Kaos’s button scene with the darkness. Kaos is still not entirely faithful to him, which means that the Darkness can’t get entirely in his head. To get everything he wants from him, for the absolute destruction of Skylands. Without that, Kaos is practically useless, not truely a devoted Kaos Clan member. Unlike his mother. Who at this point I believe the darkness could use as a manipulative way to get Kaos to do things for him and a threat, but only now sees her as a way to progress in his own plans.

The Darkness brings Kaossandra out of her prison, her devotion to the dark is far stronger than the absolute lack of affection she’d ever felt for her family. Taking away Kaos’s head-thing, they leave him with only the most weakest of magical powers on some random isle for him to hopefully die. You (The skylander) find him awkwardly standing there in his torn emperor robes, beaten up, and swearing to the ancients he hasn’t cried.

He doesn’t really have any other options other than to go with you, but he isn’t seen anywhere. Opting to stay inside the airship for a long while. Paranoid about the looming chance of the world ending at any minute, and the fact that it’s all his fault, missing Glumshanks. Flynn mentions him now and again, talking about how he’s feeling and not really eating. Cali doesn’t trust him, blaming him for their problems but she can’t help but feel a little bad. Hugo continues to assist with the next mission, fearing Kaos’s presence, but is curious about the lack of his usual ‘mark of darkness’.

Over the long run, which I mean Kaos being dragged along every trip and having to help Flynn and Cali unload and reload the airship with things. He warms up just a bit, standing in the overworld. Never-not next to one of the two, as the citizens still distrust him. (And he’s not good at being normally social on his own, not a fan of small talk) He’s still strange and egotistical, but less- evil. Kaos finds it strange that he can still preform magic without the mark of darkness, frustratingly weaker than before-but still magic. He often “steals” spell books from the archive, much to Hugo’s minor inconvenience. Since he always announces when he’s taking one.

I don’t really know how the ending would go specifically. But I know that Kaos would be furious, fed up with the endless manipulation from both his mother and The Darkness. Using familiar voices and faces to try and get him back on their side, he just can’t take it. Trapping his own mother inside the rift engine, the Darkness laughs believing that it’s tricked itself into being free forever.

Being knocked out of the darkness’s rift thing from the very end of superchargers- the Skylander is fine. Having the portal master’s power to help them. But Kaos is scarred. Once again landing on the isle below, his arms and back, inky black with…whatever it is. As if to silently let him know that the darkness would be coming back. He doesn’t rlly care though, just staring at his hands. Taking in every decision he’s made this far, he almost regrets it, thinking about his mother. Until the voices of Cali and the others finally snap him out of it, with Flynn’s coat being draped over him. He didn’t even notice how destroyed he had become. Damn. Wait…does this mean he has to relearn magic again?

mobiused my train got delayed and im really bored would you be willing to talk about vivi for a bit if that's ok

I had a dream about Vivi the other night basically she invited me to hang out but then it turned out to be kind of a date or something and she was like "Mobi there's this really cool chocolatiers that I wanted to go to" and I was like aww cute let's go so we linked arms and went I think we were in like Belgium maybe. Okay so when we got there it was like a Yo Sushi have you ever been to one? With like the conveyer belts and everything except the conveyer belts was around a massive pool with people swimming in it and I was like erm Vivi are you sure this is a chocolatiers and she was like Don't question me. So I didn't. and there's like little cute chocolates on the conveyer belt so my concerns were temporarily dissuaded. But then as we got our table suddenly this horrific sound happened and there was an explosion of blood in the pool and like it didn't exactly splatter everywhere (like not on us) but you could see the viscera everywhere and I was like Okay vivi what the fuck is this place. And she was like It's a cannibal chocolatiers ^__^ Look here comes the waiter and the waiter came with the waiver and idk i was too starstruck from being on a date with vivi to question it and just signed it and she was like Yayy now we get to play. Vivi play what. Play what. And so after we sign it shes like cmon now its our turn to get in the pool ^__^ and well I wanna see vivi in a swimsuit so .. I get in the pool . With vivi who looked really hot may I add. And we have the rules explained to us. It's like russian roulette with 6 people in the pool and one of us gets exploded and our blood sucked up from the pool (not sure how this really works in a practical sense? wouldn't it be like really dilute?) and if you survive you get to eat the cannibal chocolate which is apparently the best in the world and worth the whole nearly getting killed thing. And now I'm kinda scared shitless... and there's a timer counting down and i'm like bro vivi we're gonna freaking die or get covered in the blood and guts of a random stranger and honestly I'm not keen on all that. Like i like my viscera as much as the next guy but when it's real life its a little bit scary! And vivi is just like laughing her ass off about how worried I am shes like babes don't sweat it its gonna be fine think about how good the chocolate is gonna taste *drool emoji* and shes like splashing me and shit and trying to play around in the pool (she looked really cute tho to be fair) and I'm like trembling and shaking like please stop trying to waterbend I'm this close to peeing myself and shes like aww okay come here and gives me a hug (realistically this wouldn't be very feasible as its kinda hard to stay afloat if youre not sculling) So when the countdown gets to zero, the guy in front of us gets blown up and he gets EVERYWHERE. Like it's disgusting. I won't go into detail. And i'm like... shaking and vivi is like Awww is mobi scared of the dead body's guts getting everywhere? 😂😂 Wow cringe and I feel quite emasculated. (Isn't this kind of a common theme in my dreams? Not the emasculation but I mean loona laughing at incredibly graphic gore... yeah whats that about) And then the guy (the boss?) is like yay you guys won get the fuck out the pool so we can collect his blood so we get out the pool and dry off and they usher us round but I still feel sick from like an adrenaline overdose and I'm shaking still and I'm like Vivi... I don't think I want to eat this chocolate... cuz like. Okay I like black pudding I've had blood sausages before I'm not against eating food with blood in it like I'm mature. But human blood.... and I mean like i'm even a goth so like i'm not adverse to like vampire adjacent yandere nonsesne like if it was my lovers blood maybe itd be okay like you know how some people have vials of their partners blood like its a little weird but you know i'm always open to new experiences. sorry, super slime simulator. (literally my attitude for the whole game lmao)

yeah, it's a slime game.

it has "slime touching" graphics.

it makes disgusting "slime" noises.

i've terrorized my friends with it.

i love this game, no matter how janky-2004-DS game it is.

the game opens with the worst sound to ever exist,

followed by teaching u how to make a slime, which is pretty simple. u just kinda... make a slime.

...like u choose what type u want to make (u start out with a couple of types, ex. "classic" slime which i personally believe is a government fallacy but u do u) and then u circle ur finger around a dish to make it. then, u choose a colour and mix it in. then u choose 1 or 2 types of decorations and their colours (if they have that option. some don't- lookin at you, "jelly cubes")

some exciting exhilarating gameplay (ignore the ads at the bottom idk why they're there they aint even personalized smh):

then u finish, name it an play with it if you're a psychopath. i prefer the elite route of making slimes and never fuckin touching them bc they're nasty as hell.

there's also a chest thing which is ridiculously easy to unlock and will give you new slime... things:

and for some reason, this game seemingly with no story to it, has SIDE QUESTS. Where we meet, for the second time since the tutorial, the "mascot" for this game: Lulu.

She is just a fuckin person. She's a human mascot who somehow got her little godfearing name on things like "lulu's slime quest" and other equally icky things like that. She also somehow has her own collection of slimes, with ones worse than anything my pathetic little hands could even fathom making.

Note: I have no idea who Noggi is.

and she forces you to make her slimes for her. exactly the way she wants it. or you lose.

there's also some weird games like Slime My Image where u glunk up one of ur photos (I glunked up miku teehee):

I had a dream last night. That. Me and some other people were maybe ghost hunters ? I dont fully remember. And there was a big mansion house that we had to investigate bc the previous ghost hunters whod went inside hadnt been seen in weeks, and nobody even saw them leave. So like, me and my team of Vague Dream People That Were An Amalgamation Of People From Irl And People From Fiction went in and yknow it was a normal fuckin ghost house thing there were some spooks n scares but all in all just normal rlly. And then we found the group from before us and were like what the hell man how r u guys alive and they were like dudr tf wdym and we were like dudes its been weeks u dont have that kinda food ans they were like errr ur like mixing us up w someone else weve only been here an hour or 2 so then we were like. Ok what. And then left the house w that group who fucked off to go do their own thing bc my brain couldnt handle keeping track of a group over 4 people. But like when we left some ppl were like holy fuck ur alive. And we were like. Yea. Its only been like. 20 or 30 minutes. And they were like nah man its been days. And then i was like. Man r u serious that sucks ive wasted days of july what the fuck i love summer i dont wanna waste it man what the hell and like yeah i kinda ignored how. This house was like Magic Ooooo Time Moves Differently Inside bc i was too upset id gone from the 17th to the 20th. And then i was like suddenly in my grandmas attic and lookin out the window and it was like. It was like the attic wad attached to the rest of the scenes like a sorta. Set almost yknow. So like i chilled in my grandmas attic and then i knew i had to go to school? So i just left her attic through the fourth wall and went to the set of the big mansion and went in there for like 5 minutes and came out and id skipped school but accidentallt skipped too far and it was like late night. But ye i figured this house could b used 2 my advantage but probably also could fuck some things up. Bc i hadnt figured out the exact like time exchange that it was. Bc my brain hadnt come up w it solidly yet so like a couple hours meant a couple weeks and half an hour meant a couple days and 5 minutes meant like 12 hours but also sometimes a full day but also sometimes less. But yea idk i played around w that thing until is skipped like a week and then realised id missed my friends birthday which was apparently the day before the one i was at. So i Left the Set and walked home and went to my primary school bc apparently all my friends were there even tho we all went 2 different primary schools and i found my friend id missed the birthday of and i gave her a cat that materialized out of thin air and then turns out all my friends had their cats with them so we like. Pet a lot of cats outside this primary school. And then it was like. I was on the fuckin set of jrweek yknow the second one they had w the like boat thing. And i wasnjust fucking lookin at them but apparently they were recorsing like a 3 hour long episodr and it was episode like 140 or smth. But they were just recreating what id done the rest of the dream and i tried to ask them what the fuck was going on n why was i there but it was like i eas fuckin invisible or some shit n they just ignored me. And then they kept mentioning genloss like ober and iver and over and insinuating that charlie was the only one of them that WASNT in genloss and i was like. Erm. Okay. What. for Part 2 the only one i have a ship with is Kitty and i ship her with Caesar, why is Joseph the only one who gets a cute maid wife, even if Caesar does die let him experience the joy of maid gf at least once 😔✊. Kaiya i don't exactly have a ship for because i just can't see her in a relationship during battle tendency, she's a woman with two kids, one who's missing and her whole point of BEING in italy is on the off chance she found her infant daughter there, she's not exactly in a position to be dating anyone during that time. Cambera is another i don't have a ship for, maybe with Arte herself because honestly who doesn't love gals being gals :) but something i like mulling over outside of the story ideas I have is Cambera and Kars because i'm a predictable slut for pretty men

for Part 3 of course i have Suzume and Kozakura, Suzume is sorta my flagship oc and i ship her with Jotaro. not a big surprise there but Jotaro and Suzume's relationship is sort of rocky, they're classmates who sort of annoy each other and end up becoming closer due to being forced to work on a school project together. after stumbling upon Jotaro's mom when she tried to visit the Kujos to work on the project with Jotaro she exposes herself as a Stand User while using her stand's ability to calm down Holly. After that she sticks around with the Crusaders whether Jotaro wanted her around or not and the two grow gradually closer over the course of the trip, after the fight with DIO and their return to Japan the two are unsure of what they are and before they could have a chance to figure it out, Suzume's parents freak out about what happened and they move away to Morioh, never to see each other again. (until DIU that is ;) ). Kozakura on the other hand I ship with Kakyoin because i'm dumbass and i think he deserves a cherry themed GF. Hanako of course is a married woman so she doesn't have anything but Mariko i have this joke ship with my bf where Polnareff keeps pining after her until he realizes she's like a 50 yr old woman and the only reason she looks so young is because of hamon.

for Part 4 Joshiko and Tsukiko i currently don't have a ship with (messing around with the idea of Tsukiko x Okuyasu but idk) but Kiyomi i'm also debating on whether to ship her with Josuke or Okuyasu depending on how Suzume and Jotaro go. or i can give Okuyasu two girlfriends.

for Part 5 i ship Etsuko with Bruno because honestly i love bruno so much 🥺. Ciambella however i ship with Abbacchio because i also love him sm. again a lot of these is just my ooga booga brain loving hot anime boys so idk how i'm gonna justify these but I Will(tm)

don't got another for part 6 yet but i have an oc who i'm cooking up an idea of shipping with either ermes or weather report.

Synopsis for book one

After losing her father, Katy and her mom move across the country to West Virginia. With her luck, Katy's new neighbour is pleasing to the eyes...maybe even abnormally so. But that's not all, this town has it's secrets--maybe that's just how small towns are. Little does Katy know that her new neighbours Daemon and Dee are more than they appear to be. As Katy is swept into Daemon and Dee’s lives, she quickly learns that they are aliens; as she spends more time with them, Katy has an aura which makes her a target to other aliens. Paradoxically, Katy must be protected by the twins while also losing the aura before she gets killed.

Okay so I realized that I suck at taking notes, especially for spoilery stuff because most of my reviews are spoiler-free, but I tried my best! To be completely honest, while I was rereading the series, I definitely think this is the best book in the series; I loved the writing and the progression of relationships, the inevitable betrayal, and the flow of the story felt so natural.

I seemed to have remembered a few details, but I also had forgotten quite a bit. A small but kinda important (ish?) detail is that this takes place in area 51, which I think is so funny, especially after all the memes. I didn’t really think much of it until I reread this book--to be fair, I also don’t really follow that stuff either, but it fit really well with the narrative and maybe now when someone mentions area 51 I’ll think about this book. 

More on the setting/the whole Daedaleus premise: um yikes. I’m not sure if Armentrout did it on purpose, but technically what they’re doing is illegal and doesn’t follow proper scientific protocol??? You can’t clinically test medication (/drugs) as soon as it’s synthesized. Not to mention, did the patients actually give consent to be part of the project ?? What about a supervisor?! I think at this point I’m taking away the “fun” part of the story, but I just feel like I should mention that this isn’t how lab and drug testing is done xP. I’m also going to geek out here, but why was it called LH-11? 11 maybe for their 11th version of the drug but LH? That’s usually for luteinizing hormones...maybe Luxen...Hormones?? Who knows…

While the whole science experiment isn’t completely accurate to reality, the prejudice (I don’t think that’s the right word)...stereotype? Erm the whole ‘Oh Daemon is a Luxen and there’s a group of Luxen trying to take over the world and he’s part of it’ narrative is kind of represented in our society--yes this book was published a few years ago, but there’s still a parallel to racism and prejudice against people with religious beliefs. I don’t know if that was Armentrout’s intention, but it was something that I found to be a bit interesting. I’m also glad that Katy didn’t buy their claim (well except for maybe at the very end)--if Daemon is concerned about taking over the world, wouldn’t the Daedaleus try to idk take him out?! Katy trusts her man!

Speaking of Katy and Daemon, I definitely felt that yes, while there were some cringe-worthy moments, their relationship seems more realistic?? The thing about the Lux series is that their cheesy relationship works in this case, and I don’t really mind it. I think that Armentrout’s writing also improved, so she was able to present things clearly but in an eloquent way. I think it also has to do with them slowly getting over their initial lust phase, and how Katy and Daemon really grew as characters throughout the story. I also acknowledge that some parts of their relationship are kind of toxic?? Right out of the gecko, we have Daemon going "I'll burn the world down to save her", which I get you’d do anything for the person you love, but also??? no thanks??? Maybe it’s because I can’t relate lol. The same thing applies to when they save their own skin and then Ash, Andrew, and Paris all die instead “I would do it again” yikes. Finally, there’s the whole oh yeah I’m going to lie to Katy and not tell her that her image is being blasted to the world, which I understand you want to protect her, but sooner or later she’ll find out, Daemon!! I swear I’m not hating on their relationship, those were just some things that I’m not super on board with, but overall, I appreciate that their connection ran deeper than just lust. I also appreciate that they got “married” in Las Vegas--that’s kind of iconic, not going to lie (even if it was under their fake IDs).

As I previously mentioned, there were some things that I sort of forgot about. Notably Matthew’s betrayal, which kind of stung because after rereading the books, as well as Oblivion—the first three books from Daemon’s point of view—I was cheering him on and I really thought that Matthew was an underrated character! And now he has the audacity to betray Katy and Daemon like that??! No thanks man. I also forgot that Bethany is pregnant, but to be honest, I sort of picked up on that pretty quickly--the fact that she was always tired, Dawson being a bit overprotective, but what put the nail in the coffin (or whatever that saying is) is when she had her arm across her waist when they were executing Daemon’s plan to “light up Vegas”.

Very quickly, here are some other things that I loved/found funny in this installment: I love that we got to see Dee and Archer’s little romantic spark, Archer being like “don't forget the box of condoms on the floor" and embarrassing Katy (tbh just Archer being Archer was great), I like how we finally got more scenes with Luc (even though he completely obliterated Lyla), and like I mentioned before, the rash decision to get married.

Overall, I think that this book could easily be translated into a successful film if done correctly (said every bookworm ever). I’m not too sure about the previous books, but this one definitely has enough dynamics and craziness going on. I was just so eager to keep on reading whereas I didn’t really feel that from the previous books (though I still really do enjoy this series); again, this is probably my favourite book from the series after having a reread.
