i feel like not enough people appreciate the skylanders comics because they’re so fucking funny. not for their plots in the slightest but sometimes the visuals are so heinous at points that it makes me giggle

edit. i spent a full 3 minutes (i counted) CACKLING at how wrong and awful pepperjack looked in this shot. why are his eyes so big. why are they so close together. where is his forehead they took it from him. this one takes the cake and it makes me never want to experience skylanders again

This might be a tid bit dark to bring up but I just noticed that the Skylanders books didn't hold back that the Skylanders were this close to nearly killing Kaos but had to be reminded not to.

There was Spyro wanting to leave Kaos to be buried alive in the Machine of Doom

Then there's Stump Smash who wanted to shatter Kaos' petrified form in a rage in Stump Smash crosses the Bone Dragon.

You can even see the illustration for it.

I can't help but imagine how many Skylanders want this guy dead but can't due to being held back by moral code and trying to follow Master Eon's example.

But I have to admit there's something neat about the Skylanders having those thoughts to want to get rid of Kaos in a more permanent fashion but chose not to go through with it.

I always thought that The Darkness should've been more intimidating and dangerously manipulative towards Kaos in Superchargers.

I didn't entirely flesh out the idea here and I don’t rlly like how either turned out, but I still think about it, and how Kaos could've been effected/grew from that sort of thing.

My headcanons for what Kaos does after Superchargers is that he gets into art. Like he’s just got some shit to work out and he kinda goes around to different people in a montage asking how they express themselves and after going “no” and walking away after his adhd having ass got bored, he finally finds paint and starts painting shit.

He like makes a mural that shows what Skylands would look like if he was in charge and while it’s a little… out of taste, he eventually finds better inspirations. Never really stops saying DOOM though. Every single painting’s name contains the word doom somewhere.

“Flowery meadow OF DOOM” and such.

Eventually people would start painting with him while Kaos was painting the Academy campus. This would eventually lead to Kaos holding informal painting classes.

Idk what it is, but Kaos standing on a box painting in the middle of a campus plaza with a dozen or so other students behind him as he spouts on about “Unleashing your inner DOOM!” Into a piece.

It’s just beautiful to me Y’know
