The way SVE is portraying monsters seems to be changing
Sorry for the silence, real life demanded more attention and any time I thought I will be able to finally write this whole thing I would either have no idea how to form coherent sentences or something else would come up and I would have to abandoned it for a while. But I finally finished this monstrosity that kept getting longer and more complicated the more I thought about what to write! Hope this is readable, I spent so much time looking at it I can't even tell any longer.
*
For a while, monsters were just mindless killing machines that would automatically attack any human on sight. In one of Marlon's heart events, deleted now, he says that monsters are beings corrupted by dark magic who always acted violently throughout history, to the point where he dismissed stories where monsters and humans got along as just legends. One of his dialogue lines further proves this idea, as he also tells us that the bugs we fight in the mines used to be normal insects that were corrupted by the magic there. Krobus was the only exception to the rule that we knew of and neither Marlon nor Magnus could figure out why Krobus was the only non-corrupted monster out there. Marlon even calls it "unprecedented". Then, in the void shard event, we found out that someone is corrupting the monsters further on purpose, using exceptionally strong dark magic. In this event, monsters are in a way just victims, just tools manipulated by a stronger power.
So, before the last few updates, monsters were beings that simply didn't belong to this world, created by dark magic or corrupted by it, with no agency, individuality or ability to choose or change their own destiny.
Now, the way the game speaks about them has changed and monsters are shown acting like normal animals. Lance speaks about camouflage, migrations, nesting and monsters hiding when conditions aren't right for them (mushroom monsters coming out only when it rains). During his six hearts event, where the farmer joins him in his research, he shows them how a wilderness golem will avoid his fires after it gets hurt by them. This is the first time we see a monster show self-preservation instincts. This also happens in Castle Village where Camilla explains how the fires around the tower keeps them safe from monster attacks, so it's not something specific to just the Highlands monsters. In Lance's event we can also see a slime family leaving together and two mushroom monsters playing/courting(?), so now monsters are also capable of forming bonds and having loving families.
Monsters feel more like they are a part of the world now. They protect themselves by avoiding harm and unfavorable weather, they nest, create families and raise their young, and camouflage themselves to blend in the foliage. They now react to the environment and what's happening around them. They aren't just creatures that belong to horror movies any more, they have became a normal part of the natural world.
Also, their origins might change in future updates. If you marry Lance one of his dialogue says "Legends say they come from dark ancient magic. I believe there's more than meets the eye". Of course, it's his job to ask these type of questions and then attempt to answer them. But with the changes in monster behavior that we discover after unlocking the Highlands it can also be a hint about future plotlines. Lance also says that "monsters are more than horrid beasts with claws" and it now makes sense why he believes that.
But SVE might go even further with it's monster portrayal. We already knew that shadow people are pretty advanced as far as monster species go. They have crossbows, which requires some advanced technology and understanding of physics to make and use. We developed them during the medieval age after all. We also know that they have their own language and Krobus can speak human languages as well, so their mental development is on par to that of humans. His last heart event in SVE, where you help make peace between humans and shadow people, further proves that they are capable of complex social organisation since they form tribes and gather around a leader.
But that event is important for other reasons too. In the cutscene, in order to repair the relations between humans and the shadow people, the farmer must collect 'void souls' from the Badlands. After you finish the quest, the game tells you that "loved ones were returned to the shadow people". The event shows us that now there's a reason why shadow people attack humans, that something happened in the past that soured the relations between the two species and led to the souls of some shadow people getting trapped in the Badlands.
So at least shadow people aren't just corrupted monsters any longer, they are on the same level as humans in terms of intelligence and culture, can learn human languages and can be negotiated with, have a logical reason why they are at war with humanity and demand a reasonable way to make peace with them, to help their lost loved ones. A huge difference from what Marlon tells us about them: "All that remains are their outer shells, mercilessly attacking any soul in their path".
Still, maybe it was expected for the mod to change the way it portrays shadow people. It was already obvious that they were different from other monsters through our friendship with Krobus. But SVE might change the rest of the monsters too. The fact that there was a dwarf imprisoned in the Highlands is already proof that they are capable of planning ahead and not just killing everything in front of them. And I don't think it's the shadow people that are keeping him imprisoned. When we enter the small tunnel that leads to his cage we have to fight multiple shadow archers that look like they are guarding him, sure. But we also have to fight multiple monsters to reach the top of the hill and kill the pepper rex holding his key, like having to fight the regal guards before reaching the throne room. Also, by having the key it's implied it's him who decides what happens to the dwarf and he kept all the stolen treasures. He seems to be the leader here.
Of course, it could be just a video game trope thing, where you have to fight a bunch of minions before you reach the boss and of course the boss will have the best loot. But if my theory is right then this shows that monsters can form relations even outside their own kind. In this case, there are shadow people, wilderness golems and slimes working together under the command of a pepper rex. It also shows that at least these monsters are also more intelligent than previously thought.
All in all, I think it's interesting the way monsters have been portrayed in SVE since the Highlands update and that it's possible this could mean that the Castle Village update will have completely new lore regarding monsters, guilds and magic than what we know of now.
*
I started gathering any mention about monsters and magic in SVE to start analyzing them after but these changes in monster behavior complicate things a bit. All new mentions of monsters make them seem more complex than they used to be at the beginning of the mod and sometimes information gathered contradicts itself, like "shadow people are just empty husks" and Krobus's last event.
Even more, some of the older events, mainly Marlon's events, about monsters or the Pelican Town guild have been removed from the game completely and a few events have been modified but some dialogue referring to them haven't been changed yet, which further complicates things. In older versions, in Victor's two heart event, when he tells the farmer about the book he's reading, he says that the First Slash guild is formed of adventurers trained in spear combat and led by Ekon.
Now, according to Lance, Ekon lives in Castle Village (but he did have a blue cloak in the past) and the lore regarding the First Slash has changed. The guild's leader is Jolyne and they specialize in magic combat with no new mentions of spears anywhere, and neither Lance nor anyone else from the First Slash is seen with one in their sprites. So this was probably changed completely. But, an older dialogue line still mentions the spears. When visiting the resort Marlon about them: "They're distinguished by their blue cloaks and use of long spears".
It's possible that some of the older events and dialogue are obsolete now and will be changed completely later on. Castle Village promises to be a massive update and after a quick glance at FlashShifter's Patreon page it could very well be a completely new game (don't have access to his Patreon by the way so nothing I'll write here is taken from there).
So, any discussion about SVE lore that could be influenced by the Castle Village update is... complicated now. I wanted to get this out of the way before posting new monster theories, although it will take a while to gather all the needed data.

There's Something In The Way You Speak
Tumblr media
Here you go! I hope you love it! Jonathan's voice could definitely make us all go feral!! And Geoffrey is my best boy 🤣 I will make you love him!!
I haven't proof read this yet so I'm sorry for any mistakes! <3
Jonathan knew how easy it was to rile you up now, a small perk he was more than happy to take advantage of especially on a night like this. He'd hated social obligations before being changed into an Ekon, he still hated them. He couldn't even eat or drink to distract himself from the dull conversations he was pulled into.
Damn Edgar for forcing him to come to this thing. He knew it was all about keeping up appearances. The hospital requires funding Jonathan, these men fund us. So make them happy and feel like they are needed, because they bloody well are. The only perk to tonight? Having you by his side, dressed so finely. The curve of your neckline was bordering scandalous for this day and age, more than one set of eyes had landed on you tonight, much to Jonathan's annoyance.
But, as Jonathan had recently been made aware of, he had a little weapon to use against you. The memory made him smirk, your cheeks had grown so red after your all but blurted out the effects his voice had on you. I don't know, something about the tone and just the way you say things....just forget I said it alright?
He definitely would not be forgetting you said it, how could he just stand by and let quite possibly his best advantage over you go to waste. Before it was always Jonathan falling head over heels whenever you beckoned, how easily you made him want you, how simple it always was to make him lust after you. Oh how the tables have turned.
Jonathan moved closer to you, your body leaning delicately against one of the pillars adorning the room. It took a slight amount of bending to bring his lips right beside your ear before he whispered, nice a deep. "You know, I've been thinking about all of the doors in this hall. Where they lead to, which of them will be the one I'll pull you through, the one where I'll ravish you across whatever surface we find"
Your head turned towards him, eyebrows lifted and eyes wide in surprise. "Behave Dr.Reid" you whispered back.
"I don't want to behave, I want to fuck you" Jonathan felt your body tense beside him but this time he wasn't told off, you simply stared straight ahead, eyes flicking over the couples dancing or socialising. "Don't you want to?" His lips were all but pressing against your ears now, the soft tickle of his breath had you shivering.
"What I want is for you to behave" You quipped back, but Jonathan saw the redness growing on your cheeks, he was fairly curtained he'd never used that sort of language around you before....why wasn't it working? Jonathan straightened up, the glass of whiskey - still as full as when Edgar handed it to him- was the only thing he could use to occupy his hands as he tried to think of what else he could say to you.
Two - or was it three?- tedious conversations with men you had no desire to listen to, had come and gone since Jonathan's attempt to scandalise your thoughts. You wouldn't let him know it but your entire body had flashed hot and cold at his words. The idea of him whisking you away to have his way with you hadn't left your mind since he'd put the thoughts there.
Jonathan all but pouted his way through the conversations, waiting impatiently for them to end so he could try his luck again. He didn't have any ideas as far as what to exactly say to you, filthy talk wasn't exactly in his list of strengths, but the thrill of trying to rile you up was enough to keep him excited to try.
You had somehow managed to slip away from the small group that had Jonathan cornered, his eyes searched for you across the room, as the men in front of him continued their dull conversation. There you are. You had clearly just come from the bar, a tall glass in hand as you let your eyes wander over the room, stopping on the paintings along the walls. Truth be told Jonathan would feel happy enough to simply watch you from a distance, your beauty was always something that had him catching his breath each time he looked at you.
You felt Jonathan behind you before you heard him speak. "You abandoned me" He spoke low again, his lips not as close as before but close enough to have the hairs on the back of your neck prick up.
"You seemed to be doing alright"
"I don't appreciating you playing so hard to get...especially given how much effort I'm putting in to trying not to get hard while looking at you" Lord above this man would be the death of you, you turned your head towards him, catching him playing innocent as he met your. gaze.
"Have you gone mad?" Of all the time for Jonathan to be trying his new found technique to get you in the mood, now was certainly not the time! But the boyish smirk that pulled at his lips made you think that no matter where you happened to be at this moment, nothing was going to stop him.
"I think that one" Jonathan nodded his head towards a door positioned near the back of the room, out of the many doors that lined the walls between painting in the room, this one was likely the easiest to take and not be seen. "Given that it isn't locked of course, but I have a good feeling"
"You can't just wander around!" You whispered back to him. "One, people will notice you've gone-"
"After a while"
"And two, we can't just walk into whatever room we please, certainly not to do what you have in mind! What if someone catches us?"
"What if the sky falls on our heads? What if Priwen storms in and burns me at the stake? What if's are too boring for tonight my dear, and I have had the last three hours of nothing but boring so... shall we?"
Before you could even argue Jonathan had gripped your wrist and walked towards the door with much more confidence than you could muster. The creeping paranoia that someone would see you both sneaking away was almost enough to have you fighting against his pull. But before you knew it Jonathan had turned the knob on the door and pushed you both through it.
The hallways was dark, lit only by the moon light that came in through the windows on one side of the space, more doors lined the walls on the other side. "See? if it was in use tonight they would have lit it up" Jonathan walked forward leaving you by the doors you'd just come through. The first door he tried was locked, with a purse of his lips he moved onto the next one. "Hmm, a linen closet?" Again he moved onto the next, seemingly unhappy with this one also.
"Jonathan..."
"Perfect!" He motioned you over with a flick of his hand, only allowing you to get so close before pulling you once more through a door and into what looked like a small - very small - laundry room. Shelves covered one side of the room, an assortment of sheets and towels were folded neatly in stacks.
"Perfect? Oh lord if this is what you're calling perfect right now then you must have slipped a few marbles out, are you sure you're feeling alright?" Jonathan pulled the door closed quietly before reaching for a wooden chair sat off to the right of the room (presumably used when the servants were polishing or sewing) and fitting it under the handle, effectively locking you both in, and more importantly locking people out.
"There!" Jonathan turned to you, the boyish grin back. He gripped you by the hips moving you slowly backwards until you bumped into the counter top lining the other half of the room. You felt weightless for a moment as Jonathan lifted you onto the counter, his hands quickly pushing up your dress enough for his to stand between your thighs. "This is much better" His voice depended as he leaned forward, pressing his lips for your neck and trailing kisses up towards your jaw. "Do you know how difficult it has been for me tonight to see you dressed this way?"
Not that you imagined he wanted answer, but you wouldn't have been able to speak even if he had. Your mind was entirely too focused on the way Jonathan's hands travelled up your thighs, pushing under the bunched up fabric of your dress. "So many men were looking at you... I had a mind to let the beast take over....the walls would have looked better red"
You let yourself shiver fully, the idea of Jonathan being enraged at other men looking at you had you reaching out behind you, looking for support to keep you upright as he continued to lean over you. You felt the most subtle scrap of his fangs against your neck before he spoke again. "Will you let me have you? God I want you"
His voice grew deeper as lust quickly consumed him, his grip tightening on you as he lifted you again, just high enough to quickly slip your underwear down your legs. You couldn't even help yourself now as your hands slipped around the back of Jonathan's neck, pulling him in for a kiss that was entirely too needy and downright messy as you both started grabbing at each other. Your hands clashed with Jonathans as you both reached for his belt, but with a chuckle you both managed to free him, already so firm and ready.
Jonathan pulled you closer to the edge of the counter and by doing so, closer to him. "If we get caught-"
"Shh we won't" Jonathan nipped playfully at your bottom lip before lining himself up and pushing into slowly, his eyes closing as you enveloped him. "Christ you feel good" Hearing Jonathan's words of praise in this setting was new to you, he was far too much of a gentleman to whisper filth into your ear. But apparently those days were over.
Your gentle moans filled the small space as Jonathan moved against you, whispering and groaning against your neck, letting his fangs nip you in-between words. God knows if you weren't at a party you would tell him to bite down, to drink as he took you. It was almost as if Jonathan had the same thought as a broken whine tore out of him and his hips began moving faster.
You kept one arm behind you, using both the wall and counter top for support while the other pulled Jonathan closer to you, your lips finding his for another messy kiss. You knew it couldn't last forever but you desperately wanted it to, especially when Jonathan was being as vocal as he was.
He wasn't even sure what he was saying now, he'd lost the sense to form full sentences when you started rocking back against him, meeting his thrusts, your hand in his hair gripping and pulling him closer to deepen your already wild kiss. But Jonathan did know you were both so close, he could feel how tight you'd become around him, your face moved to press against his shoulder as you tried to conceal the moans that were falling from your lips.
You came with a shuddering gasp, you grip on each other tightening as Jonathan followed. It was only a few moments of you both regaining your senses before you pulled apart. Your eyes looked over Jonathan and a small smirk pulled at your lips at the sight of him, his hair messed and falling out of place, his tie and shirt was pulled and wrinkled but his fangs were what had your eyes lingering, they were extended, just visible as he looked back at you.
"You look a sight" Jonathan chuckled before righting himself and his clothes as best as he could, pushing his hair back with his hand before reaching forward to help you down from the counter. You started straightening yourself up as Jonathan bent down to retrieve your underwear from the floor. You reached for them but he pulled them back out of reach. Jonathan watched as confusion washed over your face before quickly tugging the fabric into his pocket.
"You cannot be serious"
Jonathan simply shrugged. "You wouldn't need them for long anyway" You huffed a disbelieving laugh at the man before you as he stood smugly by the door about to remove the chair he'd used to lock the door.
"Jonathan?" You both froze. Edgar. He didn't shout but he definitely spoke loudly enough for you both to hear him and be sure of who it was. Your eyes snapped to Jonathan, a clear I told you so, written all over your face.
Jonathan couldn't help it, he started smiling, and then giggling, covering his mouth with his hand so that Edgar - who was walking closer and closer to the door that hid you - wouldn't hear. You couldn't believe this, you couldn't believe him.
It took a few moments and a brief amount of panic when Edgar tried to the barricaded door before his footsteps receded down the hall. and then another few moments before either of you felt safe enough to crack open the door to see if the coast was clear. "See? I told you we'd be fine"
"Jonathan he will know as soon as he takes a look at us what we've been doing!"
"So you're telling me we should sneak out of one of the windows and go home? Excellent idea" You shook your head but you couldn't help the smile that grew on your face as you watched Jonathan check every single window on the way back down the hall to the party, just in case you could plot another great escape.

“Reid. A word. NOW.” The familiar and gruff voice of the Leader of the Guard demanded the Ekon’s attention.
Jonathan did his best not to visibly react, even if those words always filled him with dread. What did Geoffrey feel he deserved now. Last time the Irishman started a conversation with him like this the Leader of the Guard informed Priwen’s ‘pet Leeech’ that he had under-performed one too many times during training sessions and as punishment he was to help train the new chaplains. The burns they had given him lasted almost a week last time. Considering his healing ability, a scar that lasted a week was something of a serious injury.
“Geoffrey… Sir, to what do I owe the pleasure of your visit tonight.” He did his best to keep his tone even. It was later in the night than he would have usually gotten up. Somehow the Ekon had over slept and he would rather collect his blood ration before his shift started.
The Leader of the Guard folded his arms across his chest, the near permanent scowl on his face seeming to depend as he stated matter of factly “One of the Guard’s senior members overheard you talking with Liam last night. Apparently you were unhappy with your assignment?”
Fuck… he had noticed Christopher Mooney walk past when he was talking with Liam but he hoped Priwen’s third in command hadn’t overheard him . He knew that anything remotely negative that he said about Priwen was likely to get him reassigned to sewer duty or worse, having new chemical weapons tested on him. Doing his best to avoid angering the Irishman, Jonathan quickly thought of an explaination “Well… Yes but I was mostly being over dramatic because I was tired. If I had a problem I would tell you…”
“Oh really?” McCullum asked, raising an eyebrow. His tone showed that he didn’t quiet believe what the Ekon said, although for McCullum that wasn’t entirely unusual. He never seemed to believe anything Jonathan said, it always felt like the Irishman was testing him somehow, just waiting for him to slip up.
Jonathan nodded his head silently, not wanting to say anything that would get him in anymore trouble than he already was.
Geoffrey scoffed as he continued realising quickly that Jonathan was choosing to remain silent “Mooney told me that you were complaining about your assignment and how much you felt it put you in danger. As Leader of the Guard I need to know that all of my recruits feels safe.”
Reid wanted to laugh. Thankfully, he knew better than to laugh at someone who was always looking to stake him at a moments notice. Instead he shook his head, lying to protect himself as he replied “I believe that Mr Mooney must have misheard me.”
“Then I’ll ask Liam Davies what the two of you were talking about.” The Irishman challenge, he knew that Liam wouldn’t lie to him. He was too much of a kiss arse for that, even if he was one of the few friends that Reid had made within the Guard.
That made the Ekon falter, he opened his mouth, almost immediately asking Geoffrey not to ask Liam, but that would look suspicious. He closed his mouth and hung his head replying simply, hoping that he could call the other hunters bluff “Whatever you feel is necessary sir.”
McCullum slapped his hands down on the desk as he snapped “You’re holding out on me, Reid. I want the truth now.”
Once again, Jonathan debated lying to the Leader of the Guard… But that wasn’t a good idea considering the man could stake him if he suddenly deemed the vampire to be a threat “Fine… I was complaining about the mission… I came very close to having my throat torn out by a Vulkod… Sending me on these sorts of missions alone is dangerous… Even though I can heal most wounds and I’m faster than the human recruits I still have physical limits.”
This was the first time the that Leech had spoken openly, his expression showed that he was anxious about how what he said would be taken. But in all honesty Geoffrey would rather Jonathan be able to speak to him freely and challenge him should he feel the need “Then why didn’t you refuse the mission or ask for backup.”
Jonathan shook his head as he mumbled “You really don’t get it… do you…”
For a moment the Irishman was silent, raising a curious eyebrow.
As the Ekon’s frustration spiked he snapped at the other man “Everynight I wake up knowing that if I offend you I won’t live to see sunrise. Everynight I salute and agree to whatever you say because I know that if you see me as a threat you’ll end that threat as every member of the Guard is trained to do.” Red tears were welling behind Reid’s eyes and rolling down his cheeks as he continued to rant, suddenly unable to stop “I work every night, doing whatever you ask of me without question because if I don’t I could be labelled as a threat and hunted by my so called ‘colleauges’… The fact is Geoffrey, I know that I am a means to an end, as soon as we find and kill my sire I know I’m next for the stake.”
McCullum listened surprised. Was this really how the Ekon felt about his role with Priwen? How-… How aweful! To think that he was going to be killed every night if he made a mistake, everyone made mistakes, even Geoffrey himself. Had-… Had the Leader of the Guard not proved to Priwen’s pet leech that he trusted him yet?
Swallowing thickly the Leader of the Guard said “I’m not going to kill you because you voiced concerns about how dangerous a mission may be. Nor will I kill you for fucking something up. What I will kill you for if hunting humans, preying on our boys for blood and using your position within the Guard to harm humans… Reid.,..” he took in a slow deep breath through his nose before letting it out slowly “Reid… You’re one of us. I-… I’m sorry if I hadn’t made that clear to you already, you can say no, you can ask for back-up… Hell you can ask for a night off if you bloody well need it…”
Was-… Was this real? Geoffrey never lied to him, strangely, so this had to be true “I-… I don’t know what to say,” Jonathan could barely believe it. The Leader of the Guard trusted him, really?
“You’re not like the Leeches on the streets, Jonathan and you’re not like the bastard that murdered you. I’m not going to kill you for something you have no control over. Your sire attacked you, you’re a victim. When we find and end him you’ll still be free to continue working with us.” Geoffrey clarified.

The object work of Sestia putting the pennant in Nikhil’s mouth, pulling it back out so he could speak, and then shoving it back in, followed by Ekon saying “Murdina woke me up in the middle of the night to have tea with a fish, she is not sensible,” was a one-two punch that had me cackling so loud my cat jumped off the couch.

stolen (Part 2)
Part 2 - take him back
(Part 1)
On Ao3.
There were two, polite knocks, he stopped at the third or he couldn’t have controlled himself and damaged the door.
The latch was pulled away, an Ekon on the other side of the door blinked at the couple in surprise. "Dr. Reid, I am certain the Ascalon club did not contact you."
"I need to speak to Lord Redgrave."
"I am afraid-"
His fist thumped on the door cracking it. "Now listen to me, I know that new members joined recently. I also know that there was some of them who wanted to join to the club not so long ago but were rejected, or the Ekons themselves realized they were not good fit to join the club. Either way, a few hours ago someone connected has kidnapped the leader of the Guard of Priwen and I will find the culprit". He pushed his hand and the wood creaked and bent inwards. "You either let me talk to Redgrave, or I will tear down this door and drag him out from his hiding place by myself."
The Ekon already taking a step back, nodded. "I will inform him immediately of your arrival, please just wait a moment, doctor."
The latch closed and after some creaking, the door opened in front of him.
Jonathan let the rain drip from his jacket onto the burgundy carpet.
"Wait here, please." The vampire teleported away to inform master.
While he waited, Jonathan ran the scarf clutched in his left hand through his fingers. The only thing that tied him to Geoffrey.
He was sure he will find him, no matter what. If it needed, he will scour all of London and search over every house or building. No one could stop him. Time was working against him, however, and he was increasingly afraid of the state he would find the hunter.
Lord Redgrave walked down the stairs with faster and more measured steps than usually, his eyes fixed on Jonathan.
They met in the middle of the wide hall.
"Dr. Reid, I heard you're looking for someone."
"Good evening, Lord Redgrave." He tried to keep the furious edge in his voice as low as possible. "During this evening, three Ekons attacked a Priwen patrol in northern Whitechapel, three hunters were killed and one missing."
The lord only glanced at his left hand before he straitened his posture even more. "The one missing is the leader of the Guard of Priwen, if I am not mistaken."
"I have to find him."
"I'm afraid you are already late, Dr. Reid."
Jonathan took a step closer. "I'm not here for your opinion, Lord Redgrave. Who were those three?" It wasn't just a question; it was a threat. If Jonathan realizes that Redgrave lies, or misleads him in any way which could lead to the hunter's death, then the Ascalon club and every member of it will perish from the face of Earth by his hands.
Redgrave waited, making sure his voice was steady before he spoke up. "A week ago they asked to join, two men and one woman. Naturally, based on our gender rule, we immediately rejected their application. Still, we also realized that they wanted to use the club to destroy the Guard of Priwen."
"Sounds like a great opportunity to the club. Based on the Guard and the Ascalon's pasts."
"Dr. Reid, the Guard of Priwen isn't just an organization, it's an ideology, and as such thing it's almost impossible to destroy. There will always be those who lose one or more their loved ones to a vampire attack and swear revenge." He waved off the annoying thought. "The Guard of Priwen may be an annoyance, yes, but at the moment it is useful the way it is. Besides, they only wanted their own revenge on the leader. McCullum killed one of them before they ever submitted their application."
"And you failed to inform me about this because?" Jonathan tried not to snarl.
"Dr. Reid, you are no longer a member of the Ascalon club, so informing you is no longer our duty." Lord Redgrave tried to swallow.
"Where can I find them?"
"The other side of the Temple Garden. The edge of the Willows Street."
"You should pray that I find Geoffrey alive." He teleported to the door and swung it out in front of him, not caring how much it slammed against the wall.
For the first time in decades, Lord Redgrave felt that maybe, becoming a vampire wasn't such a good idea.
Icy water woke him up. It got into his mouth and nose, for a second he thought he felt that he was drowning.
"And he's still moving! Annoyingly persistent son of a bitch."
"I almost feel impressed; I mean; I can understand how he killed Alfred."
"He was my brother, you twat."
"I'm sorry, Sasha."
Geoffrey was finally able to open his right eye. There was some kind of light in the basement. Three red eyes glared him, towering over his still bleeding body.
"What...." he didn't even have the strength left to finish the sentence. His head throbbed again and every nerve in his body followed suit. He should be dead by now.
"So? How should we kill him?" Asked Sasha from the two other Ekons.
"I reckon, we should just cut his throat and watch him bleed." Answered the one, called Adam.
"Or, we could tear his stomach, and show him his own guts before he dies." The other was probably Peter.
"We can also just put a rope around his neck, drag him out and maybe tie him to a pillar? Then his companions and everyone else could see the glorious leader of the Priwen!" Her voice became filled with excitement.
No, this was the only thing Geoffrey was able to think. Just not that. Don't let everyone see what happened to him. Not the others. Not Jonathan.
A weak gurgling gasp left his body.
"I think he likes the last one." Said one of them. "Peter, fetch us a rope, will you?"
"With pleasure."
They failed to notice someone opening the entrance of the house. The newcomer searched around the building, not touching anything. In his hand he was gripping carefully the scarf. Finally, he stumbled onto the door left ajar to the basement.
They haven't even realized that they were about to die.
Jonathan stood at the door.
Right now the only thing he could see was Geoffrey's bleeding body. His heartbeat slowed down, his breathing became heavier with each inhalation. The Priwen was lying in an ever-growing red puddle.
"Who are you?" One of them asked, but it didn't reach Jonathan.
The smell of blood oozed around him, and made his stomach twist. Hunger and hate tried taking over his body.
"Hey he asked you?! Who the fuck are you?!" Asked another one.
It didn't matter what they said or wanted to do.
Jonathan let the beast inside him scream and take over. Darkness rose under his feet and folded around his body. He disappeared from the top of the stairs in a heartbeat. The first slash ripped open the nearest Ekon's neck, then the woman's head got smashed, finally the last Ekon died by his claws; they ran through his chest and shredded his heart into pieces.
Within another second Jonathan reappeared on the top of the stairs, panting from anger. His hands still shaking.
"Geoffrey!" He teleported right next to him, kicking one of the lifeless body out of the way so he could kneel down. "Geoffrey, can you hear me?!"
His heart still beat. He counted at least eight broken bones, and seven cracked ribs. His skin was covered in bleeding gashes in several places. Fortunately, there was no sign of internal bleeding.
"Geoffrey, please, can you hear me?" He pulled the hunter into his arms as gently as he could. "Please, if you hear me, please talk to me." His voice faltered like his heart was about to.
Finally, McCullum opened one of his eyes. "Took ya long enough..."
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." With the end of the scarf, he gently wiped out the blood from the edge of his lips. "I'll take you to the hospital, all right?"
"Sure."
Trembling fingers reached up to Jonathan's face, slowly trying to wipe his bloody tears away.
"I'm not dead." Whispered the hunter.
"I know, thank God, I've found you in time. I was so scared." Jonathan gently kissed his hair. "I will keep you safe." He slipped his arms out of his coat and gently draped it over McCullum's body before lifting him into his arms.
"Just don't let the others see me." Geoffrey sent a small smile at the Ekon before he lost consciousness again.
The pattering sound of rain filled the room. Outside, the evening had long since set in, and the sun had disappeared behind the houses hours ago.
He woke up in a pleasant warmth, only the dull pulsation of pain spoiled it all. Every part of his body flooded his brain with signals for attention.
He blinked a couple of times, before realizing his left leg and arm where completely bandaged up, and so was his half of his face, and his right side too.
"Geoffrey?" Jonathan appeared next to him almost immediately. "How do you feel?"
"Every-" his throat felt like it was filled up with sand.
"Here, drink this."
The water helped, and made him feel a bit less weary and trodden-on.
"Thanks. I'm fine." He finally looked into the vampire's eyes. "I feel like shit, but shit that’s alive, so it's a win." A small smile lingered on his lips.
"When I saw you..." but Jonathan couldn't continue, he hid his face into his hands. His shoulder was hunched over.
"Hey, hey, look at me." Reaching out he took Ekon's face into his palm. "You did what had to be done." One of his fingers gently stroked under Jonathan's eyes. "It was either me or them."
"I was so worried, that I couldn't find you in time."
"Well, I thought that was the end for me too...I didn't even notice them when they appeared at the alley." He carefully stroked the vampire's lips before pulling his hand away. He let himself fall back onto the pillows. It was nice for once, laying in a comfortable bed, even if he was patched up and numb all over his body. "Thank you, but hey, maybe next-" the kiss finally silenced him. He was grateful, even after everything, he couldn't take this first step. He was never able to, just let himself be kissed and pulled into an embrace. Maybe he was a coward, but being a hunter and being in any kind of relationship with a vampire felt like he had failed everything he fought for so far.
Fingers caressed his chin and melting these heavy thoughts away.
"Where am I?"
"In the Pembroke, I had to take you here, and you will be here for a while. You slept through a whole day anyway."
"So you would trap me here?" The hunter asked with a half-smile.
"Oh, you can leave. As soon as you are able to stand on your own two legs, without help." Jonathan sighed, but his eyes smiled back at him. "Until then, you will stay here and recuperate. The others can visit you, if they behave."
"I would rather not see them right now."
"That's a shame." Came the snort from the direction of the door.
"Jim?" Geoffrey froze up. "What-?"
"The doctor, informed us that you're alive and here." The hunter took an uncertain step inside. He slowly crumpled the rim of his hat in his hands. "You look like shit, McCullum."
"I'm glad, I can see you too."
The two Priwens let out a small chuckle, before Jim cleared his throat. "But anyway, I just wanted to check on you, before I'll go out to tell the others, that your doctor takes good care of you."
Geoffrey rolled his eyes. "He's just some-" he glanced up Jonathan, but couldn't really finished the lie.
"Yeah, just some doctor, I bet." The room started to feel warmer. "I'll deal with the newbies, and the funerals. We can't delay to inter them, but we can wait you for the ceremony until you can walk. Jack and the other would have wanted the same."
He had to swallow back the bitterness. "Yeah, sure, thank you, Jim. I just need a week or two to get back on my feet."
"One, at least he needs one month, or three weeks" Jonathan slowly nodded, not paying attention as the injured hunter rolled his eyes.
"One month, all right." The older Priwen put on his slightly creased hat. "Then, get better until then, Geoffrey. Evening, Doc." He sent a small nod to Reid before walked away.
Silence fell on the room.
"He was actually, nice, maybe in the future your brothers won't immediately attack me when I’m out for a walk. I could finally have a peaceful night."
"Maybe," Geoffrey tried not to pay attention to his own blushing face. This night just started to become more and more surreal. He glanced down to Jonathan's hand, it was still gently holding his. Maybe surreal wasn't the right word.
"Maybe?"
"I don't know, I'm just tired, but don't treat me like a cat. I still have my pride, Jonathan."
The Ekon let out a small chuckled, that made McCullum's heart skip a beat. "I would never do that, oh leader of the Guard of Priwen. I'm glad you feel better."
Geoffrey let himself sank more into the soft pillows. "Yeah, me too. You bloody…doctor." He closed his eyes. At the limit of his perception, he felt the fingers that drew small circles on the back of his hand and palm. It was as if someone was calling his name, but the feeling was too pleasant for him to pay attention to anything else.
Jonathan watched in silence as the hunter slowly drifted off to sleep. He was safe and that was all that mattered. The hospital and this part of the city belonged to him and no one would have dared to attack him or those who belonged here. McCullum was the only one who tried and since then no one else again. He made sure of it.
"Dr. Reid?" Nurse Branagan appeared in the door. "Dr. Swansea would like to talk with you, if you're not too busy, doctor."
Jonathan suppressed an urge to roll his eyes. He had to make sure Edgar had his hands full and finally did something useful, after everything.
"I'm coming, nurse Branagan." He left a tiny kiss on McCullum's forehead before he left the room. "Thank you, I'll go and deal with Edgar."
Their eyes met, and Jonathan raised an eyebrow. "Yes?"
"Nothing, doctor. I'm glad your friend is safe." Answered the nurse with a small nod.
"Me too. Thank you." He glanced back at the hunter once more before he walked away.

What Nikhil is Like - 5/?
Fandom: Battle for Beyond Pairing: Murdina/Sestia/Nikhil Rating: E Tags: Polyamory, light d/s, domestic scenes, praise-starved himbo
"Good sparring?" Murdina supplies, first to speak. Nikhil lets out a faint pant as he nods his head. "Wiped the floor with Ekon. Lenore had her work cut out for her." Judging from Nikhil's disheveled appearance, Ekon gave just about as good as he got, but that's better left unsaid. Murdina gives him a crooked smile. "Good job." Nikhil's expression is sort of hard to read all of a sudden. He swallows, which has Sestia watching his throat bob, which is - well, hey.

@hxllblazer asked: it has been far too long since i faced death like that.
MISCELLANEOUS SENTENCE PROMPTS
Tumblr media
“You speak as though you were pleased to be faced with death? That’s hardly the most... reassuring admission, I must admit.” Then again, he supposed there wasn’t much that John Constantine said that the nocturnal being found to be too reassuring. Most conversations anything but average or commonplace, even for the undead doctor. Whether that was a positive or negative, still remained up for debate. “You seem to have run-ins with death more than most, Mr. Constantine. Though I suppose, in... some ways, it stands as a reminder that you’re still alive, regardless of what you might think of yourself.” At least, he was certainly the most alive between the two of them, given that Jonathan’s heart hadn’t beat for over a century. Not that either one of them had anything particularly healthy running through their veins, the Ekon’s being little more than cursed poison that would turn others into the same creature as he’d been forced to become, while the Scouser’s blood was -- - an acrid mix he felt it best not to think about. “For what it’s worth... I’m glad that you’re still alive.”

Vampyr : Choices and consequences: part 1 - Edgar Swansea.
(obvious spoilers to later parts of the game)
The more i play this wonderful game the more i see some of the good choices as not so great.
The main one for me being turning Dr Edgar Swansea into an Ekon. Yes it keeps Pembroke in good health as killing or letting him die results in a lost pillar of the community and a severe (the largest in game in fact) drop in health of an area. But if you speak to him and various patients and staff of the hospital after turning, it becomes very clear that he going to become a problem. When speaking to Swansea afterwards you get these conversations -
Edgar: "Jonathan my dear, i can never thank you enough!" Jonathan: "Thank me? For what?" Edgar: "Come now, you know what i mean. I'm, well, I'm just like you!" Jonathan: "Have you no shame?? Must i remind you of your ludicrous actions. Of the men and women who died at your hands?" Edgar: Shame is for mortals, Jonathan. I know it now and you should too. We're something else. Something more." That is worrying, especially the line i've bolded. He doesn't feel any shame for what he caused. if you speak to him again, he refers to experimenting, but on himself... Jonathan: "What will you do now that you are immortal?" Edgar: "Experiment, my dear colleague. I have an eternity to make scientific progress. I could be the only scientist able to undertake extreme experiments on himself!" Jonathan: "My god Edgar, Did you learn nothing from your forays into folly?" Edgar: I have, i swear. No more experiments on mortals....."
But If you speak to Harvey Fiddick, the patient awaiting his arm to be fixed, he says this after asking how things are now Swansea has returned-
"He visited me soon after his return. He asked me if I'd agree to some experimental procedure. I said I'd think about it. This shows Swansea lies to you again. He tells you that he will only experiment on himself, yet here he is offering it to a patient.
If you speak to the patient Thomas Elwood he gives a very concerning account about if the situation is better now Swansea has returned-
"I dont know, he seemed different. Last night, someone approached me while i was sleeping. I didn't move, not a muscle. But he was sniffing my neck. Just like Thelma does." Jonathan asks if he's sure it was Swansea - "I recognised his cologne. Left without a word, gave me the right fucking willies it did." Thelma is the mental patient that believes herself to be a vampire, who Thomas is fond of. The fact Swansea is acting like a blood craving vampire is concerning. We know for a fact he is feeding. His eyes look just like those of the Ascalon club, red rimmed and bloodshot. He mentions that -
"It's like I'm never sated. Fortunately blood is no rare commodity at Pembroke."
At first you think, ah donations, but those weren't that common then and they would actually be a rare commodity...so the only other source is fresh.
Lastly the creepiest comment comes from Nurse Branagan when asked how the situation is now Swansea has returned - "The situation is hard, but Dr Swansea promised me things will get better. he even said he'll take care of us all. And i believe him!" How exactly will he take care of everyone at Pembroke?....
I never spoke to these people in my first play through, only to Swansea and even then he gave me the creeps. He was so happy to being offered to be turned, even said it's what he always wanted, even though Jonathan does it as punishment for his unethical conduct. Why i wrote a fix it in my one story as i believe the idea of experimenting with vampire blood will not turn out well for mortals and immortals alike, especially with Swansea's lack of ethics and as he says shame now. To summarise, i think the best good option if running a pacifist playthrough is to simply let Edgar die. Yes Pembroke goes to serious condition, but if you kill no one there and keep on top of the illnesses, it will not go hostile. Even if you kill Clay, it can go to critical then but not hostile and can be brought back to serious. Embrace more than two people at Pembroke and yes that can send it over, so warning there.

HEADCANON. vampires ekons are not simply monsters to lynn. they are manipulative, deplorable beasts. with elevated cunning no man could comprehend and a bite so cruel, they were not senseless. they knew what they were doing. they were intentional. deceitful. and like a prowling cat, they would play with their food until the mouse was beaten by exhaustion. only then would they feed.
lynn’s married life was easy, despite moving from her home country, despite adjusting to a very english world. she had blake. they had each other through it all. but someone something would take that all away.
for months, lynn would catch a figure out of the corner of her eye, a tall, pale man who greeted her with a fox’s grin. he never approached her, keeping his distance, and at first she thought him harmless enough. time went on and he began venturing closer to their home, talking with blake on the street, making plans. nothing but idle conversation, lynn tried to tell herself. and yet lynn still expressed her discomfort. blake saw nothing wrong, his voice almost a low whisper as he spoke.
the conversations grew longer and soon blake invited the pale man inside their home. for dinner, her husband had said. he wanted to come for dinner. for days he would not leave and lynn could not understand why. each time she tried to ask him who he was or what he was doing, her mind would darken, the thoughts seemingly blown away. on the fourth night of his stay, he beckoned the couple into the kitchen.
i was promised dinner, he told them. who shall it be? lynn’s heart raced, panic gripping tight, but she could not move from her seat. blake’s gaze dropped to the ground, his face blank. his mind far from this room. it was not until the pale man circled behind lynn, brushed the rapid pulse on her neck with the tip of his finger did blake speak up. not her, he said. not lynn. the pale man was happy enough to oblige and instead he was at blake’s side, sinking sharpened teeth into his neck. lynn screamed. her world went black and when she awoke her husband was lying on the floor, pale eyes cast to the ceiling.

He absolutely hated having to ask for help. Despised it, really. Thorin had found himself in the library that day after walking the halls aimlessly when one of his big meetings ended. The royal had only been looking around the newly renovated library to kill some time, until he was needed again. Hands behind his back, the brunette strolled along eyeing the shelves of books they'd discovered and gained from others, stopping his walk.
His head tilted back as bright blues look up to one of the higher shelves, an idea having formed in his head at the moment. Would they have books on vampires and other creatures? The curiosity was strong in that it urged him to look for a ladder, though unfortunately there had not been one readily available.
But then, he hadn't realized that he was not the only one in the library. That was until soft footsteps ascended on his left, pulling his attention to the newcomer only to realize that it had been the Ekon in question. Thorin had tilted his head and expressed the book he desired only to have the book within his grasp a moment later thanks to the good doctor.
".....We are never to speak of this."

Under the Storm
Geoffrey McCullum x F!Reader
Summary: A fight with Geoffrey leads to a late night make up in the rainy streets of Whitechapel.
Warnings: NSFW +18, angst, makeup sex, against a wall sex, female reader, swearing.
AN: a few of you requested Geoffrey fics and who am I to deny when there are literally none out there… I pray for more x reader fics for Geoffrey and Jonathan but I fear I’ll never get them 🥲
The rain was falling heavier now than it had been a few hours ago, the scent of damp streets, smoke and that unmistakable smell that always hit ones nose when in London was settling heavy as the storm continued.
If anyone asked how it was exactly you had come to be stood in the rain with Geoffrey, you likely wouldn't be able to give an exact answer. His jealousy? Your own stupidity for being caught in the act so to speak. You knew working alongside Jonathan Reid would cause nothing but trouble. But you couldn't help it. He was different.
How Geoffrey couldn't see that was beyond you. His hunter training clouding any chance of seeing that Jonathan - even Elizabeth, wasn't like other Ekons. He wanted to end this epidemic, as did you. Geoffrey had reluctantly allowed you to help bridge the gap between Priwen and Edgar - a go between so to speak. The late night trysts between you and Geoffrey had come about slightly later, when he'd finally given up playing the cold hunter around you.
Now that cold stare that you'd almost forgotten about was being directed at you. The rain hitting you relentlessly was starting to soak through your jacket, your hair hung heavy around you, strands sticking to your face. You breathing coming in short bursts from running to catch up with Geoffrey - who had only and very reluctantly stopped evading you on the border of Whitechapel when you'd almost slipped on the wet pavement.
"Why won't you listen to me?" desperation laced with frustration as you spoke. Truth be told you couldn't quite believe you were here arguing with Geoffrey in the first place, he really meant that much to you after such a small amount of time? Enough for you to chase after him? Explain yourself and your decisions? You were realizing all too quickly how close you'd allowed Geoffrey to get, how much you didn't want him to leave.
"Listen to what?" Geoffrey's voice was harsh as he spoke, his quick to temper personality shinning through as he almost scoffed at you. "You sympathize with leeches! You've been working with them this whole time?!"
"Not the whole time, just since-"
"Since good ol' Dr. Reid came runnin' into your life" a disbelieving smirk pulled at Geoffrey's mouth, his head shaking, his own hair wet and falling from it's place with the movement. "You know for a second I thought..." He wasn't sure he was ready to admit to you what he had thought, that you cared perhaps? That for once in his life maybe, just maybe he didn't have to live alone, that maybe he could have you.
"Why can't you see he's different? If you opened your mind even a little you would see Jonathan could help you!!"
"Why can't you see that he is nothin' but a blood sucking monster?!" You felt defeat wash over you, how long had you both been arguing like this? In this cramped and dim backstreet, had it been minutes or hours? It felt like an eternity of back and forth shouting, you were thankful a lot of Whitechapel had been abandoned.
"Geoffrey" He could hear the defeat in your voice, it seemed to only make him angrier at the whole situation. His growing frustration felt like it was about to drown him, his mind pulling back and forth between wanting to walk away and forget you and running to you. Everything in him from years of training screamed to run, to see this for what it was - a betrayal. But the part of him that wanted you - that cared for you begged him to stay. Your eyes never left his, your face wet from the rain, perhaps from tears he couldn't tell, even now soaked by the downpour he found it was so easy to become distracted by how beautiful he found you. "Please just... give it a chance?"
"I can't" he heard your groan of frustration just before he felt your fists connect with his chest. It didn't hurt, he didn't even flinch, but the movement seemed to ignite the fire back up in you as you looked back up to him.
"You are the most single minded, hard headed idiot I have ever met" your fists came back against his chest almost on every word, if it wasn't for the situation Geoffrey would have laughed at your outburst. But he simply reached up to grab your wrists, stopping you just before you hit him again. You tried to shake him off, clearly not finished with what can only be described as a tantrum, but his grip was strong, your arms barely moved.
You slumped against him instead, your forehead pushing into his chest. Geoffrey wondered if this would be the last time he would hold you this close. "I'm sorry my beliefs are such an inconvenience to you" he tried to sound malicious, he's not entirely sure he managed it.
You lifted your head up to meet his gaze again, those blue eyes you'd grown too fond of watched you, you could see the hard set of his jaw, the frown pulling at his brows. You weren't going to win this fight. You pulled your arms away again, and this time he let you go. You quickly pushed them into his chest, pushing Geoffrey a step away from you. You tried hard to blink away the tears that threatened to fall as you looked at Geoffrey. "I thought..."
"What that I'd change the way I am because you found a small ounce of good in one leech?"
"That you'd at least listen to me-"
"What because I fucked you? You think that changes things?" When your mouth closed instantly at his words he realized he'd done it, that those final words would be the end of the argument. Yet there was no satisfaction, no relief that you would finally stop shouting at each other, in fact he felt worse than he'd ever felt, seeing the hurt on your face, the way you pushed your lips together to stop yourself from crying more as you frowned at him.
You didn't even answer him, he watched you turn and start walking away from him, your footsteps quiet against the sound of the rain. It hurt. It hurt watching you walk away, Geoffrey didn't allow himself to think before he began following you, just as you had him, but it didn't take more than a few seconds for him to catch you by the arm, pulling you to a stop and towards him.
"Let go" You tried to keep walking but he held you, your voice almost too low for him to hear.
"Wait"
"No!" You turned to face him now, your cheeks streaked with tears and rain, your hair whipped around with you when you turned, soaked through from the rain. "You've made it clear how you feel"
"No I haven't" For the first time Geoffrey was scared of what to say next, how to tell you how he felt, how to make you believe him after what he had just spat at you. "I don't...I didn't...fuck it anyway" His hand slipped from your arm to push his own wet hair back out of his face. "I'm sorry... but I love ya, it wont change how I feel about them...but I can't let ya walk away from me after what I said"
He watched your face, the way something flashed across your features. He almost expected you to slap him, call him an ass and continue on your way. He certainly didn't expect you to pull him to you, your lips pushing against his. Geoffrey kissed you back like a man starved, his kiss hungry, demanding. Yours was just the same, both of your touches laced with desperation as you pulled each other closer, your hands clawing at the back of Geoffrey's head as he lifted you, his hands gripping under your thighs, your back hitting the wall of the alleyway. His grip was like iron holding you close to him, your bodies pressed together.
Your skirt had been pushed up when Geoffrey lifted you, the wet fabric bunched up between you, the cold long forgotten against the heat of Geoffrey as he pushed his body against you, his arousal hard beneath the material of his trousers. Your mind was fogged, nothing mattered, your body ached with want as you reached between you to clumsily undo his belt with one hand. Geoffrey shifted you slightly, lifting you just high enough to aid in pushing his trousers down just enough for his member to fall free, the wall aiding in holding you up as he pushed aside your underwear before rubbing himself against your entrance.
You whimpered against his lips, a subtle plea to hurry up. A hoarse moan fell from your lips when he pushed in, a gasp falling from Geoffrey before he starting moving into you. It wasn't sweet or romantic, the way you both moved against each other. It was desperate. Your lips moved, tongues hungrily fighting for dominance, your teeth catching his lower lip. Moans fell from you both as he moved, your back hitting the wall behind with each thrust. You didn't care, about the wall, the location, you only cared about Geoffrey moving against you.
He felt your nails dig into the back of his neck as you gripped him, the warmth from between your thighs tightening around him as he moved. Geoffrey couldn’t get enough of you, despite the harsh rain still hitting you both, the almost savage way he was taking you - so unlike the many nights you’d both found comfort in each other. He could feel your anger - his anger still, but with each thrust that anger ebbed away, his shame at what he said to you slowly creeping back in and Geoffrey found himself slowing down, his thrusts turning slow and deep.
You almost protested but Geoffrey’s lips trailing down your neck distracted you. You gripped onto his shoulders for dear life as he continued his slowed pace, soft lips making their way back up to your own, the kiss this time was slow, what you were used to. You didn’t imagine Geoffrey could do anything slowly at first, his whole mannerism usually spoke otherwise, but with you, after those first few times together you watched him take his time, enjoy every single moment with you. You prided yourself in seeing a side to the Captain of Priwen that no one else saw, that was who was with you now.
Geoffrey could feel his orgasm approaching, his hips stuttering and slightly picking up pace as he neared his peak. One of your hands moved up along the back of his head, toying and finally gripping onto the longer hairs near the top before your hand came to rest at the side of his face, keeping his pulled close as you began to push back against him, using the wall as leverage to meet his thrusts, your own orgasm knotting up inside of you.
Geoffrey’s kisses became desperate again, you both moaning and gasping against each other’s lips, faces pressed close. His hands tightening their hold on your legs, still holding you up to the wall, never faltering.
“Fuck” Geoffrey’s voice was rough with arousal. “I’m sorry”
“I know” you felt the tight coil in your snap seconds later, your orgasm washing over you, your eyes closing, head falling against Geoffrey’s completely as he continued fucking you through your high, his own came quickly after, your body warming as he filled you.
If you weren’t still so close to each other you wouldn’t be able to hear both of your heavy breathing in the rain. But when Geoffrey looked at you, his hair messed and falling in front of his face, droplets of water dripping from the dark locks you found you couldn’t care less about the rain.
Your body on the other hand did. Geoffrey could feel you shivering in his grip, he slowly lowered you to the ground, arms keeping hold of you until he was sure you were alright to stand on your own before fixing himself up quickly.
“We should get out of the rain” you spoke.
“Aye, you want me to walk ya back to the hospital?” You shook your head, home was further away, the hour was late and the rain wasn’t letting up but going back to Pembroke was the last thing you wanted now. Geoffrey looked around, as if only now taking in your surroundings and where you were. “Priwen base ain’t far from here, I could sneak ya in”
You couldn’t help smile at that. “You mean I’d get to see the Captains chamber?”
“Aye what little there is of them anyway” Geoffrey returned your smile with a smirk before pulling you close to him and turning you both in the direction of the base. “Better be on your best behaviour” he joked.
“When am I not?!” Geoffrey rolled his eyes at you, knowing too well the trouble you always found yourself in. It was so easy, to fall back into your safe bubble with Geoffrey. You knew this argument would come up again, it was inevitable. But for now at least, you had your hunter back at your side.
