Hi there, I'm interested in learning to interpret my dreams, do you have any advice or resources to get started?
Hello,
Yes, I definitely have some beginner advice.
Starting out, whenever you experience a dream that you feel may be "important" (though it doesn't have to be), write down as much as you can remember. Once you do that, go through and highlight anything that really stood at to you, or make a list. Consider things like: Where did the dream take place? What was the setting? What was the weather like? Was there anyone you know? Were there any animals? Any plants? Did you see anything from everyday life? Anything from your favorite media?
Once you've made your list, begin to consider these things as individual symbols rather than random visuals. Consider what each means to you personally; how much significance they hold for you. Using a red rose as an example, what would that mean to you personally? Love? Beauty? Romance? Sex? Once you think you've pinned it down and really weighed it out, take a moment to consider the context of which this symbol was presented. Continuing with the "red rose" example: Was it given to a lover? Was it found in the wild on a bush? Was it dropped in the street and abandoned in a puddle? Any one of these can drastically change the meaning behind the "rose's" appearance in the dream- if, for instance, you ended up deciding that a "red rose" is a symbol of love, a rose growing on a bush could symbolize a flourishing, natural kind of romance that comes easily to those involved; whereas, a rose abandoned in a puddle in a street could represent an abandoned love, or a romance taken for granted.
Here are some questions to ask yourself while reviewing the symbols:
People-
What is your relationship with this person in the "real" world (if you have one)? What do they look like? How are they dressed? What kind of traits or personality do they have? How are they behaving? How did they make you feel in dream? Do they have a job title? What is the function of that job title or position?
Places-
What is the condition of the setting? What is the structure of the setting? How did it make you feel? Do you have a personal connection to this place? How is somewhere like this usually portrayed in media? What was the layout?
Things-
What was the condition of the object? Where did you see or find the object? What is the object usually used for in "real" life? How was it being used in the dream? What kind of person uses this object in "real" life? Who used it in the dream? Is this an object you see everyday? Is this an object you've seen in media?
Animals-
What condition is the animal in? What does the animal look like? What does the animal usually represent in media (i.e, dogs can be used to symbolize 'loyalty")? How was the animal behaving? How does that behavior make you feel? Do you have a personal connection to the animal in "real" life?
Eventually, if you make this a habit, you should be able to decipher your own dreams and outline your own personal symbolism. There are definitely more steps if you'd like to really delve in the art, or if you'd like to be able to interpret the dreams of others'- but for now this is a good place to start.

My free readings and dream interpretations are open again for the weekend. I’m gonna go ahead and let y’all know that they’ll probably be answered when I have time through the week.
I am sorry about my unreliable answer time. My work schedule can be unpredictable and I’m the one my friends/family go to when they're in a pinch or need advice. So, most days I'm running around like a chicken with its head cut off.

Dream symbols play a fascinating role in the realm of dreams, acting as mysterious messengers from our subconscious minds. These symbols can range from everyday objects to surreal scenarios, each carrying a unique significance that unveils hidden truths about our innermost thoughts and emotions.
In the world of dream interpretation, every symbol holds a key to unlocking deeper meanings and messages that our subconscious is trying to convey. Whether it's flying, falling, or encountering strange creatures, each symbol has a story to tell about our fears, desires, and unresolved issues.
One of the most common dream symbols is water, which often represents emotions and the subconscious mind. The state of the water, whether calm or turbulent, can provide insights into our emotional state.
Another prevalent symbol is the presence of animals in dreams, each animal carrying its own symbolic meaning. For example, a snake might symbolize transformation or hidden fears.
Objects like keys, doors, or mirrors can also hold significant symbolism in dreams, reflecting aspects of our psyche that are waiting to be explored.
Dream symbols act as a bridge between our conscious and unconscious selves, offering a glimpse into the depths of our psyche that we may not be aware of during waking hours. By delving into the meanings behind these symbols, we can gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and the hidden forces that shape our thoughts and actions.

Unlocking the Power of Dreams By Understanding the Metaphors First
There are four foundational principles that I use when doing dream interpretation. These are explored in greater depth in my EBOOK Unlocking the Power of Your Dreams and I’m going to break down one of the most important ones in this article: Take the Metaphoric Meaning Before the Literal.
These four principles establish that dreams are the universal language that connects the whole human family.…

A Concerning Dream
Early yesterday morning I had this strange dream, or rather nightmare. The odd thing was that I was terribly afraid in this dream.
In the dream, I was with several people. I don’t recall seeing them, I just know they were there. We were traveling somewhere when our car broke down. We were invited into this building that appeared to have several uses. It was a business but also a religious…

About the turtle dreams: turtles/tortoises are often associated with earth (see: the world turtle myths) as well as fertility, longevity, and wisdom. To me it sounds like the earth is trying to communicate something? Also the combination of overgrowth and destruction makes me think that maybe there is something in your life that has gotten out of control that needs to be cut back, like a bush that's grown too big that needs to be trimmed back, or gotten rid of entirely. Are you overwhelmed by something in your life? The fact that you didn't get hurt or see anyone else get hurt makes me feel like that any "destruction" that is happening in your life might not be harmful or a bad thing. Maybe there's something you've been meaning to take care of but have been putting off doing and this a warning to do that thing now before things get out of hand. This is all just in my opinion of course and should be taken with a grain of salt. I think a good question to ask your self is do turtles have any personal significance to you?
My goodness thank you for the help! A lot of this is scary 👀 I guess that’s a sign to always ask for help! Thank you for your effort friend! ❤️ You gave me much clarity!
Never have turtles felt important to me (on a personal level obviously, turtles are precious friends 😭) but whenever they show up in my life I do see things shifting and changing. I do have a sinking feeling when I see them I guess? But that could mean a lot of things coming from a person like me so I can’t put my finger on it!
I do associate turtle with earth and nature but I feel them to be both water and earth. I’m not sure why I feel that way towards them but I do. Healing, stability, protection [now online stuff I found:] good luck, good health, longevity, perseverance, balance, slow pace, grounding.
It’s so interesting that such fascinating beautiful beings could look so ferocious in my dream 😂😂 my dreams aren’t always vivid some of the images which were kinda funny but also like wow why is this powerful? I should communicate with Mother Earth she definitely will clear things up. Cheers friend! 🍻
