well first off idk what they mean by people being insufferable about the prank exactly but i think it's just common sense to hold Sirius responsible for it. like it was his fault lol. I don't know if recognising that your favourite characters (and Sirius is one of mine) have flaws and did bad things sometimes counts as "crucifying" them rather than just enjoying the characters as they are, so I'm not sure what they're referring to. they do say in the tags that they don't think Sirius was in the right to be fair, but I think it's somewhat disingenuous to claim that Sirius wasn't expecting Snape to go down there when there's no evidence for that and even if true it wouldn't change the outcome.

I think there's a tendency in fandom to think you can only like characters if they're understood as 100% good flawless people whose every action is justified somehow. to me not only is this boring it's just kind of ridiculous. I think there's no way around the fact that Sirius did something that was objectively extremely fucked up not only to Snape but also to Remus, and then later displayed little remorse for it as far as we know ("‘I’m bored,’ said Sirius. ‘Wish it was full moon.’") and like... who cares? In the sense that to me, that just makes him an interesting character. And I don't think it erases his good qualities, it just makes him complex.

As far as Snape, like I said in another post I do think that he had some responsibility in the matter. And as a Snape fan this is worth discussing imo and the same exact thing goes for him as it does for Sirius. I think his obsession with discovering what the Marauders were up to went past the point of reasonable and that's why he was so easily manipulated into going down into the willow (for someone so intelligent, walking into an obvious trap is not his greatest moment lol) and we're shown in canon that this obsession was also interfering with his ability to be a good friend to Lily. If I absolutely had to choose then yeah, I think Sirius is more at fault than Sev but that's not as interesting to me as exploring the different motivations at play in the situation. Either way it's kind of a dishonest reading to try and make excuses or handwave rather than accepting that Everyone Is Terrible and just being okay with that.

I guess my point is, are you really a fan of a character if you have to overlook their flaws and weak moments in canon? it's a question worth asking. I love both Snape and Sirius because they have flaws but also admirable traits and I'm chillin feeling absolutely no need to defend anyone lol

FTL: FTLR-3 has taken the form of the cyan lizard that was its host. It remains immobile, but the form it has taken is clearly that of a cyan lizard. One especially similar to the one from which it originated from. I've described my hypothesis as to why it would do such a thing in Log 216, but to summarise, it's for the sake of efficiency. Efficiency of movement, efficiency of existence. It's taking the best of all three sub-types of Rot and combining it.

FTL: I fear that this new form may grant FTLR-3 a much extended range of movement that, especially when combined with its apparent ability to learn, could result in it breaking out of the containment chamber. If all goes well, this will not be the case. I will carry on in my attempts at creating a potent corrosive substance, just in case LIFEGIVER's treatment does not arrive on time.

FTL: As for updates on the progress of my attempts to create such a substance, there aren't many. The progress has been lacking and it all is strikingly reminiscent of my attempts to create organisms without a foundation. I do believe that I am on edge of something, though. I cannot tell you what, only that it will aid me in my quest.

FTL: The time after FTLR-3 is eradicated is eagerly awaited. I cannot allow myself to get distracted from this process at this time, but the thoughts of experiments I could be doing now are alluring to me. For example, Eternal Anomaly (as our conversation has unfortunately not yet ceased) mentioned a slugcat-poleplant hybrid.

FTL: Creating a hybrid with a poleplant is indeed a curious idea. One that I wish I could afford the time to explore at this moment. Perhaps not with a slugcat, that seems to defeat the purpose. Slugcats are insanely adaptable creatures, they can withstand just about any modifications. Though a slugcat-poleplant hybrid would have its benefits, my interest lies in the reactivity of the poleplants leaves. What if a poleplant's genetics that pertain to them were implanted into say, a lizard? Forgive me for the amount of experiments that lizards have been the main subject of.

FTL: The 'leaves' could function as a warning system, though perhaps it wouldn't be that much of an effective one. Append them onto the tail though, and they could perhaps warn the lizard of any vibrations in the ground. The red colouring the lizard would be sure to inherit from the poleplants would also serve as a deterrent to predators, invoking the image of a typical red lizard. It could also potentially employ the poleplant's typical hunting method of ambush. Though it would lack the ability to blend in.

FTL: Perhaps if the lizard that would be modified were a white lizard... its camouflage abilities, if combined with the reactiveness of the poleplant. Truly could make a capable predator, armed with many ways to protect itself from any that may threaten it. Its red leaves would make it stand out, even when camouflaged, but everything needs a weakness, no?

FTL: I'll have to put this idea on hold. After this whole fiasco is over, this will be the project I pick up. Just another incentive to get this over with as quickly as possible. I tire of researching FTLR-3, it has too much urgency to it. But I shall carry on doing so, as though my interest grows weaker as my attention attempts to drift elsewhere, I remain curious about its nature.

"Okay baby, hold it here with your left hand," Lando guides you, taking a hold of your hand and placing it on the end of the golf club, "and put your right hand here" placing it slightly beneath your left.

"Now just move slightly this way" Lando softly mumbles, placing his hands on your hips to move you round in the right direction to successfully hit the ball.

"Okay, now swing the club backwards, and swing forward to hit the ball" Lando once again guides, stepping backwards in order to let you do so.

You do as your boyfriend says, swinging back, and swinging forwards, the end of the club aiming for the golf ball perched on the tee in the ground. But seeing that you've never played before, your co-ordination isn't the greatest, and your club flies straight past the ball and tee.

Your hands shoot up to your face in embarrassment, as Lando hides a chuckle.

"Landooo, I don't want to do thisss, I suck" you puff out, already irritated by your pure incompetence of the sport Lando so willingly plays 24/7.

"It's fine, baby, its your first time playing, don't worry" Lando reassures as he walks over to you, a smile still lingering on his face. He pulls your hands away from your face, club still in your hand, and guides you back into the position you were in before-hand. This time around, his body stays flush to yours from behind you, and his hands linger on your own, now fully instructing you on how to swing.

"Just relax baby" he says quietly into your ear, as you take a small breath and untense your arms and shoulders.

Lando leads you, and in one smooth movement, swings with force, hitting the ball off the tee and simultaneously out of view.

You look back at Lando over your shoulder, and smile at your, technically his, successful hit.

"There you go, you don't totally suck after all" Lando grins, earning a chuckle from you, and in return a soft kiss on the lips from your boyfriend.

You both carry on down the course closer to the cup, as Lando proceeds to help you with your swings each time. Lando eventually pots his ball, and gives you the chance to do the same as yours is only a few feet off the cup. But this time, he lets you do it on your own.

"Remember what i told you, and you'll get it in, i'm positive" Lando says from beside you, as you stand in the position he had taught you formerly.

You coordinate the ball and the cup, and swing ever so slightly, tapping the golf ball with the end of the club. The ball rolls slowly, you and Lando both following it with anticipation in your eyes, and stand in silence as you both watch it roll past the cup.

You look up at Lando, and this time chuckle as you spot the hidden smile playing at his lips. He also joins in with the laughter as he saunters over to you, grabbing you by the waist and pulling you flush to him.

"Dont worry about it baby, you suck at golf, but I still love you" Lando says with a big grin, leaning in to kiss you, this time passionately, as his hand tightens around your waist, one moving up to softly caress your back. Your hand lets go of the club as they travel to wrap around his shoulders, deepening the kiss as your bodies collide even more.

After a few minutes of you too simply living in the moment, you both grab all of Lando's equipment, and drive back to the club in the buggy.

"You should try things I enjoy, like painting or something" you suggest, looking up at Lando.

"Nah, i'm alright" he replies, keeping his eyes focused on the course in front of him.

You wait for a few seconds, and as you thought, he looked down at you with a smile, "I'm joking love, anything i'm doing spent with you is heaven" he says, wrapping an arm around your shoudler pulling you close, momentarily looking and leaning towards you to kiss you on the cheek.

hi this is basically my part 2 of my post about being a small selfship blog

that post was met with a good amount of small blogs being happy about what i had written, meanwhile there was a handful of blogs that still expressed being upset that they were so small despite the work they'd put into their stuff.

i should preface by saying, even though i've had posts get over 300+ notes, and i have over 100+ followers, im really not a big blog, and i do seriously mean that.

yes, my posts about selfship scenarios and positivity do get a good amount of notes, and lots of the tags are very positive and fun to read. but if you do look through my blog, you'll notice those are the only posts that get any attention. all my posts about my personal selfships barely get notes, i barely get any asks even when doing ask games, and i've even tried participating in those "reblog with your f/o and i'll assign them this!" posts and i dont think i've ever gotten a reply.

and yeah, the last one at least has bothered me a bit, and i wish i couldve been part of the fun, but i'll be honest— when i made my selfship blog, i literally made it to be my own corner where i can go gushy gooey crazy over my fictional men. and those posts i made about general selfshipping scenarios and such, those were me just throwing ideas at the walls so i had a place to put them and maybe a few people could see it and feel a lil better. i never intend for my stuff to get a lot of attention because honestly, i'm used to it, so my expectations are always extremely low, and i'm rarely ever upset about it not working out.

but i know for some people, that's not the same for them, and that's completely fair. they work hard on what they make, either through writing, through artwork, comics, animation, even just putting down their thoughts. its natural to have that part of you that wants to be seen and appreciated for what you made, even if it is self-indulgent and not a lot of people will relate to it.

and i am sorry to all of you who are in that boat, feeling like what you made isnt good enough because not many noticed it, that you don't have people asking about your f/os or s/is, that anything you made with love isn't getting that same response. i know it's hard, and honestly i wish i knew what i could say that would help you to feel better. but please just know that you're really not alone, and just because you aren't seen doesn't mean you aren't good enough for this community.

honestly the best advice i could try to give is that you still have a corner for where you can freely express your love for the characters that bring you happiness, and even if you don't have much of an audience, i think it's worth remembering that your f/os are your #1 supporters through and through, no matter what type of attention you get. they're happy that you love to talk about them, draw them, gush about them, even if no one sees it. they're happy that you've dedicated a space just about them.

and even if you don't get much notice out of it, please remember that you still deserve a place to feel safe and free.

it's going to be okay. i promise. please take care of yourself. its what your f/os would want, i'm sure.

you were laying in both you and jakes bed, we'll atleast thats what you considered it because you had no idea what the naavi call it, you were having severe cramps, worst than you had ever experienced, jake was on his ikran, bob, looking for food

he came back about 2 hours later and you were still suffering from period pains, just much worse, now your lower back hurt aswell as your abdomen

jake had a concerned look on his face when he saw you in a fetal position shivering, "hey y/n you okay?" he said while rubbing your shoulder in attempt to comfort you, since you were both living as naavis, it meant you had no technonoly to solve this pain or any medicine

the only thing jake could do was lay by your side while rubbing your lower abdomen in attempt to sooth your pain, it worked for the least and you fell asleep in eachothers arms

hello and welcome to the horseimagebarn weekly interaction recap where every friday i respond to all the fun reblogs and comments and such from the past week

first off another bit of housekeeping which is that if you mention me somewhere or tag me or comment or something it is likely you will not receive a response because i do not like to clutter my blogs feed with public responses so i wont reply to every single thing as i feel it takes away from the purpose of this account which is horse images and also i cannot comment as this is a secondary blog so if you wish to contact me and receive a response please dm me whatever you want to as my dms are always open or use the ask function if it is a question or statement you think is humorous or suitable to be published to my blog and if you are not comfortable with this that is okay because rest assured i read every single notification i receive and i wordlessly appreciate each one

apologies to continue the trend of a little announcement at the top this is something that has been plaguing me as i dont want anyone to think i am ignoring them or did not see that they were thinking of me as i always do see it and am always honored to be on the minds of others

i stand by the belief that no man could conjure up the idea of a horse without any prior knowledge of one they are fully unique and real and are unable to be made up just because of the broadness of their concept

one might say there is something morally reprehensible about humans tearing down environments to create spaces of inside where only humans and their chosen pet creatures are permitted and anything else is considered a pest or intruder that is to say i believe horses should be allowed inside if they want to go inside

though i know taste is subjective and that all fruits of nature are beautiful and deserving of enjoyment and that i ought to keep my personal opinions to myself on the horseimagebarn account i will stand by my statement that apples are in fact yummy specifically red delicious apples are my favorite

i see many people comment on this so fun fact the neighhhh tag i use only for the horse images i post so that when perusing my account or archive if you wish to only see the horse images and not any reblogs or asks or similar non-horse image things you may sort via the neighhhh tag and also if you were not aware the reason the horses are often tagged with a strange word or emotion is because the horses are sorted based on 10 emotions being love friendship sloth lament anger cursed indulgence whimsy intelligence and joy so you can more easily find the emotion youre looking for when on the hunt for specific horse images
