Ah, the famous debate. Personally, I’m not so much a fan of drawing Gardevoir with breasts because 1. People are usually gross about it and 2. Pokémon are the equivalent to animals so I feel like it doesn’t make sense for the females to have breasts like a woman, even the humanoid ones. With that being said, I actually don’t mind that you choose to do that for your style (which, even if I did have a problem with it, I wouldn’t go out of my way to let you know). It doesn’t feel like you’re doing it to sexualize Gwen in any way. You don’t call attention to it or draw them ridiculously large, unlike some artists. It’s completely normalized. I respect it.

Because people have been conditioned by the internet to think that it's gross.

Now, it's not my intention to throw shade at nsfw artists. It's one thing to draw tasteful nsfw art, it's another when drawing uncomfortable and/or disturbing fetishes that are blown out of proportion, fetish art that I personally think should be just for personal "pleasure" and kept to themselves, but instead they share it on the internet for everyone to see. Particularly a boob fetish, which gardevoir are victims of, with people drawing big ol’ tonhongerekoogers, humongous hungolomghononoloughongous (sorry, had to use the meme lol), on them when realistically, they wouldn't even be able to sit up due to all that weight, imagine the serious back problems XD But seriously, gardevoir get a bad wrap because of art like that circling around the internet, unfortunately that's just the way it is, but as I said in a previous ask, I wanted to break away from those stigmas surrounding gardevoir being seen in that light. And I'm happy that the majority of people here can look at Gwen and not immediately think, "Oh my god! Eww, gross!" Or "Ew, rule 34 content!" But can actually see how beautiful she is and how wholesome her and Jericho's relationship is. I've had a few people tell me recently that they've paid no mind to her breasts and never even noticed them until I pointed it out. And I'm sitting here like "YES! YES!" Because in reality, it shouldn't matter, or get that kind of attention. People can look past it and still love her as a character, which is the point I've been trying to make in the first place.

Also, when it comes to the animal kingdom, yes, pokemon are the equivalent to animals, which I why I believe giving gardevoir breasts isn't necessarily wrong but more accurate. Gardevoir is a humanoid pokemon. Look at the animals that are the closest to humans: apes and monkeys. Female primates have breasts on their chests, do they not? In my own opinion, I think giving her breasts on her chest is a far less weirder place to put them compared to dogs or cats that have 6 or more of them along their stomachs, or in the areas where they're found on cows or goats.

“Another chrysanthemum?”

The voice from behind Kazuha doesn’t startle him, instead it brings him a cool breeze of relief. He had grown used to you sneaking up on him in the middle of a project. He found your presence more endearing if anything.

“I can’t seem to stop painting them,” He comments, swiping the red paint upwards into the shape of a petal.

In truth, they’re all he can paint as of late. Plenty of unfinished canvases decorate the floor of his studio, yet Kazuha finds himself starting anew with streaks of scarlet and evergreen.

He does it almost absentmindedly now, no longer needing a reference to perfectly trace each flower in full bloom.

Meadows of different styles sit in contrast to the white walls; an array of oil paints, gouaches, impastos, acrylics, and watercolors took up most canvases. The varying types depended on the day, how he was feeling, and what projects were being demanded of him.

Kazuha, despite perfecting a myriad number of techniques, was always drawn to watercolor. He loved the way the red bleeds on the canvas in the way his heart beats. Heart and soul, stem and petal. It felt reflective of his very being. More so, in how he felt around you.

The flower stands to be his only muse. Even while he has a commission due in a couple days, he resorts to this familiar field.

He assumes that’s the main reason for your appearance; checking in on him, knowing he has a deadline soon. You were always thoughtful in that way, making sure he was making good progress on his art and his health. No matter the reason, he was happy you came to see him in his studio.

“How’s the commission coming along?” You ask, though you’re sure to know the answer.

He smiles, a small laugh rumbling in his chest, “This was supposed to be it.”

It’s not the first time this has happened, especially recently. It’s nothing near what the customer had asked for, but Kazuha’s brush merely follows his heart’s desire. The commission will be done one way or another; it always was. Even if finished the dawn of the deadline, drying while sitting beside a sleeping Kazuha slumped over his desk.

“Didn’t they ask for a skyline?”

“Correct.” Kazuha traces a new stem.

He can hear your almost inaudible laugh, causing his smile to spread. Still, you don’t scold him. You’ve known him long enough to trust he’ll get it done. After all, you’re the one who ultimately takes care of him after he spends all night finishing one. Those are the mornings, or more accurately, afternoons, he cherishes.

“Why is this flower so fascinating to you?”

After seeing how the similar petals built up after weeks of painting the same flora, it’s only natural for you to be curious. It wasn’t his favorite flower, he had claimed when you asked him, so then why?

Kazuha knows the exact answer. He has a bit of understanding as to why he’s drawn to this flower, though he doesn’t find it necessary to share the finer details.

“It…reminds me of you.”

Kazuha doesn’t have to turn to feel your surprise. It was a vague enough answer to remain truthful without causing him to become flustered.

“Oh? Why is that?”

Kazuha pauses, trying to find the right words. The message red chrysanthemums represented was so poetic to him, and yet the direct meaning made his heart pound to say aloud.

“Oh come on,” You smile, playfully hitting his shoulder, “Don’t leave me hanging. What does it mean?”

Kazuha’s hand stutters on a petal, cheeks beginning to reflect the hue coating his brush.

His content smile falters a bit, instead being replaced by a smaller upturn. Kazuha brings his paintbrush back down to the palette and turns to look at you, the first time he has since you appeared in his studio today.

“It means… I love you.”

Hey! (Im that anon that sent an ask on your art accuracy. )Yes! Can you post a step by step?

Happy to oblige!

Our model today will be the legendary late Meat Loaf from the ‘I’d do anything for love’ music video! I’m just obsessed with Meat Loaf right now, don’t ask me why. I’ll do my best to describe the thought process as I go on!

Hope this helps!

Step 1.

Well of course you just start with a circle, nothing else to say. Ya know like the spongebob meme…

Step 2.

So just starting to map out about where the main facial features go. Just eyeballing and keeping it loose. I really never use any of the well known measuring techniques and honestly just draw the features onto a mostly blank head. I don’t really like most face guide techniques. 

Like for example there’s tutorials that say you have to map out the face by lining up the eyes with the edge of the nose or measuring the proper width of a nose bridge with the width of the eye and all these little ‘shortcuts’ and rules. I’m sure we’ve all seen a ‘how to draw a face’ tutorial and while I know these are helpful for some people, I find them a little stifling to expression. They give you a good map to essentially draw a flawless, wooden, conventionally attractive model but not everyone looks the same.  People have bigger noses and different snapped eyes and different length foreheads. Like, just fucking look at Meat Loaf!

Okay, rant over. Just embrace peoples unique beauty is all I’m trying to say and take that into account when you draw.

Step 3.

Starting to actually draw some of the features. As you can see I thought I put my little guideline for his eyes a little high for the shape of Meat Loaf’s face (Which I’d later change back in the line art, haha) I also draw the eyebrow line first before I draw the eyes, I don’t know why.

For noses I tend to draw a few circles for the nostrils and the tip then give a loose line for the bridge up to the brow bone. It works very well for most nose shapes. Keep it loose and tighten up the shapes as you go.

On a specific note, when I draw people with open mouths I almost always first map out the face with the jaw closed then tilt the jaw open as I go on. Something about immediately drawing that long line from the nose to the chin for an open jaw tends to just visually throws me off. Working digital has some very helpful benefits 😅

Step 4.

Okay, now that’s starting to look like a person. (Ignore the prosthetics!)

I think in this stage you can start to see my own style flare coming into play. I tend to exaggerate brow bones, lip shape and nose shape. While it’s not completely accurate to the original I think it adds to the features of whoever I’m drawing without going to a full caricature. I suppose this could be adding more ‘shape’ to something so it doesn’t appear so stiff. Highlight people uniqueness, ya know?

I’ll choose ‘expression’ over ‘accuracy’ any day 😅

Step 5.

Whoa that was a big change! …but actually not really.

Now that I’m confident(ish) I’ve got his features mostly correct I start thinking about shading and how it frames and highlights his face. I put most of my work into the expression of the line work so I’m just mapping out what needs to be highlighted and what needs to be black, essentially. And also very loosely drawing his hair 😅 I never put any thought into drawing hair. Really it’s just a shape they frames the face for me and that how I think about it.

It’s also around this point in the sketch that I spend a little more time ‘sculpting’ out the features a little more. I loosely put in their shape and about where they are then I take a little time to make them a little tighter and more accurate.

Now it’s on to cleaner line Art!

Step 6.

So really at this point it’s just tracing. For me specifically, I put A LOT of emphasis into line weight and I think that’s what makes my work unique. I also put a lot of emphasis into the black space of the piece as well. Most of my shading and shape comes from my line art rather than my colors, and that’s just how I like it. 

Final touches

After I remove the sketch layer underneath i usually add a few little detail lines or more cross hatching to emphasis certain areas. Just really stylizing it more to my liking. 

I wasn’t planning on coloring it but I spent like 5 minutes putting in some loose colors because I thought the contrasting lighting looked interesting... I guess that’s all I have to say about that.

Now I hope you all are filled with the urge to go watch the ‘I’d do anything for love’ music video. It’s... a ride.

I hope this was sooomewhat helpful and nice little glimpse of my process. I want to emphasis again that I personally believe there’s no ‘right way’ to draw a face. There’s no specific cheat code on how to draw expression good. There’s no ‘ideal’ face. I feel like if you adhere to a rigorous guide for every face and expression you draw then it takes away from the feeling in a drawing.

I do know of who you are talking about. To be quite honest it’s usually a hit or miss where they are concerned to me, and I can’t call myself a big fan of their overall style though I am sure a lot of people might like it and technique wise clearly they are very good and talented.

There are more misses than hits though, for me personally, let’s leave it at that.

I also will always have a problem with certain decisions that some artists insist on making, especially on the rather problematic depictions of Rhaenyra looking older than another certain character who is meant to be 15 years her senior, and also imo not making her actual physical appearance very canon accurate - refer to Amok and you will know what I am talking about if you know this artist Anon - especially when compared to other characters such as Aegon II and Helaena and even her father. And on that note making Daemon look years older than that same certain character who is only a year younger than he is.

I have also seen this artist have redacted elements on some of their illustrations which is an immediate no from me… so yeah.

Overall it’s a solid no from me. I like some concepts but not a fan of the execution and overall style.

But if you like it that makes me very glad 😊 and at least nothing they make is too redacted so yeah it’s a plus. In these troubled times I get just getting what you can get that is not polluted. I am just a person with very particular tastes.

Btw if I ever like something I usually share it and gush about it, so if you don’t see me doing it, it’s because it’s not to my particular taste. So if you ever share some art with me and you get silence it’s because it’s not from me 😅 Art is subjective and it’s not the same for everyone. However I won’t publicly give the artist’s name and say I don’t like this or that. I just find it a bit disrespectful which is why I am not sharing the artist’s name now.

My rule with fanartists be that with illustrations, fanfictions, edits, etc… is that they are doing it for free, you either tell them something good or nothing at all. Fanartists don’t owe us - me included - anything.

On the second part of the ask, thank you so much 😘 I have to defend asoiaf canon, cause the rest is trash and I think we as a society should demand more of entertainment and of people whose job is to write good stuff. These professional writers and others involved in redacted are NOT doing it for free, and honestly they are doing a terrible job, which is the kindest word I can find. Sellout Martin is busy cashing in on the money and popularity so he won’t say anything. I also like to be the change I hope to see in others, and I have learned this over the years. Don’t wait for someone to say what you are thinking, say it yourself.

Do Not Support Rude And Bad Artists

Please do not feed rude artists who cannot read and try to destroy young aspiring artists, as well as bad artists who may use their money in wrong doings.

Also discussing why art cost and supporting artists overseas is not easy as it may seem.

I would love to write a list from time to time with artists and authors I get inspired by or simply enjoy checking them but then I wonder if they would return the favor, artists supporting each other, especially a new young artist or would they ignore till you be something and big, like your name everywhere to notice you because of course they have fans and spams and won't see you in middle easily. 

Still I will do it, I will appreciate it if they write back but if they do not it is completely fine by me.   

Sometimes I hesitate for another reason, the personality of this artist/author. Of course, no one is perfect neither am I, but sometimes it's hard to ignore when person is extremely rude, disrespectful, arrogant or even worse committing crimes.

In my humble opinion there's no reason to support bad artists/authors/entertainers…etc. do not force yourself to like work if it is not done by good people there are so many others around the world, sometimes, in fact, they force you to stop supporting them when you get in touch or see what they do. You cannot, for example, support a person who murders or rape people, at least I would not. As for a person who's just does not have a good personality it’s a matter of respect for respect, if you do not respect me why would I respect you? I try to be kind and respectful no matter what but people tend to abuse that kindness and respect.    

This happens a lot but most recent, few days ago under one of the artists’ pieces I asked which materials she'd used, this is a simple question and I expected either: 

1- Direct me to her tutorial if she has or if she sells courses.

2- Explain, this material, because it’s better since....etc. or I bought pieces from "site" and put them together. 

3- Simply, ignore answering in the first place.    

Instead, a random person replied, "Why are you asking instead of buying from her?" then the whole conversation turned into me sneaking in and trying to steal her pieces and her clients. I've been sick and probably did not reply accurately, sometimes when I'm tired or not paying attention I tend to repeat lines in messy way which may be confusing and long/boring to read, beside English is my second language so sometimes I may not write perfect grammar or words to express what I mean, but I made sure to explain that I'm asking about materials not asking "how it was made I want to duplicate" and I would gladly support artist and buy this piece if I could but I'm planning on advertising for her to hopefully bring more clients for her, the least I could do if I can’t buy a piece. And I cannot understand why those ladies were replying on owner behalf unless they are family members or close friends hired by her.

I know I may not have commented correctly, but I meant with try, trying some sculptures and that im not as good at it as her, and for artists sculpting pieces would probably understand what I meant, because some clays may be heavy to wear as accessory, some crack, some bad for fine and complicated details, that's the reason why I was asking in first place which would be better for accessories, while I can search I believe it's not wrong asking to collect different opinions, and I did share my work link, deviantart though not shop because I do not sell my pieces then decided to delete because I realized it may disrespect owner, it was just to show them that I'm not a random person and that I have a different style and in fact I don’t really enjoy sculpting unless my pieces requires it so our materials and what we designs are in fact completely different there are no similarities and reason I hope to avoid unnecessary big budget on something not core in my pieces. 

I expected after that the artist will simply delete comments and I did mention if she wish I can delete my comments by myself and everything goes as it was, instead she blocked me and made this post:

While I excuse artists, because there’s many copy and steal nowadays and maybe my comment was really confusing, but there’s no reason to accuse a young person trying to learn and write such a post and of course everyone will support her because she has a page and brand so there’s no reason to explain and talk to her using another account, she already ignored my explanation. I can write more on this issue because I realized why she did this, but I do not prefer disrespecting people and their work, therefore I removed her name, also to avoid giving her views. I hope next time she tries to teach or delete and ignore instead of accusing a young person trying to learn.

What makes me sad is such simple comments by her to a young, single, 1 person artist like me who’s struggling to find any support and something to help them climb end up betrayed by big artist and could get their reputation destroyed and even their love to art and refuse supporting artists because of such 1 bad artists, words spreads fast online and it hurts us as young aspiring artists to be betrayed in such a way by older artists, all for wrong accusations and then writes a sad post about how she’s the only artist who cannot afford her bills, which is, in my opinion pathetic.

I’m writing about this for rest of artists to be careful.

Please make sure to read what your fan wrote so you won’t lose this fan or ask them to re-explain, when you have thousands and millions of fans 1 does not matter but 1+1 will be bigger over time, do not make up a conclusion without trying to understand. Remember on internet there are people from all over the world, some may not be that good at English and translators do not work. I know we are tired, busy, especially with nowadays covid-19 issue but if you’re not sure simply delete comments, there’s no reason to make assumptions on something did not even happen or destroy young artist just because you’re paranoid and selfish when you do see your art/words duplicated, physical evidence do then feel free to share duplicated piece and shame that person or write whatever you wish and in fact report if you can although I know reporting takes time, money and sometimes does not change anything especially if its from different country, but that does not mean every single artists asking for help is 100% thief, it could be a genuine student. 

I believe it is not wrong to wish to learn, this isn't first time I ask artist what type of materials they use and many of the artists I follow give tutorials or sell courses or just ignore answering, either busy or do not wish to reply and I respect their response, I did not expect getting attacked by mobs or artist block me and accuse me of trying to rip her off.

Very famous quote "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime"

While this quote about living, it is possible to apply with art because although art is a hobby sometimes indeed it's the way we pay our bills and usually for art it's preferable if the person already love it and is already talented to come up with their ideas but when they learn and become more experienced the result becomes much better, most of us put their old pieces beside new pieces and notice big difference.

All artists know how materials can cost much, especially in certain countries so trying to learn first and collect enough opinions will cut the road short. For example, with sculpturing, there are so many different types of clay as I explained, air dry clay, different types of polymer clay, epoxy clay, each artist has different opinion on this, lightness, cracking, finished texture…etc. so depending on piece how many agree on which to start experiencing with? 

I do regret so many things and I wish I had good art teacher to guide me but sadly when it comes to fantasy and cinematic pieces there are not so many teachers here or even older creators to ask them, so most of my experience was trial and error and done so many mistakes and wasted so much money from my dad’s income, that’s why I always try to lower those mistakes by asking and help those who didn’t even start at all to avoid my mistakes with my little experience better than nothing instead of bashing them away. 

And speaking of cost, why some cannot support artist and it’s not that simple? 

Do you know USD/Euro (which is usually the currencies most used online) exchange rate in some countries? 

Do you add shipping cost and countries with enormous taxes fee which may be up to 50-70 USD/Euro depending on distance or country price or maybe more actually? 

Do you know some countries take Customs Duty tax and it can be sky high? 

I received a gift from a competition which was shipped from Sweden to here, Egypt, it was supposed to be free to door step, no shipping cost, no taxes. They took 45 EGP from me, why? No reason and if I sue post office nothing will be done. 

Another time my friend sent a choker gift to me she’d bought but did not wish to use, she sent in a small envelope and paid shipping cost, I was surprised by 250 EGP tax! Small chokers here from store are 50 EGP max if not 15, I appreciate her gift of course, but can you see how high this tax? 

Imagine If I keep buying many pieces online to support all artists, I cannot even buy the materials I am missing for my own pieces. Can you see how it can be like cost of buying online in some countries?

Sometimes it’s simply out of our hands and I did for fact discuss that with open-minded and kind artists and they did tell me they do understand how difficult and high the cost and low options for international supporters, they didn’t bash me or claim that I’m coming to steal them or share a pathetic post, that is why I believe advertising is the least we can do when we cannot support and no reason for bigger artists to hurt or accuse a young artists. 

Please learn to be kind, patient, if you do not understand, ask person to re-explain, put clear rules if there are things you do not want, such as refusing to take questions to save our time and avoid misunderstanding situations. If you do not wish to share your knowledge that is up to you, but I believe in artists community and how difficult art trades is becoming and cost of materials increasing in some countries its better to be kind and teach or at least give small hints if you do not wish to share your secrete recipes at all.

C - Confession - which of you admitted romantic interest in the other first (if they’re the flirty type, when did they admit they were really serious about the other?) how did they do it? what was the reaction?

they kind of admitted at the same time tbh. carlos is kinda flirty, so for a while vita assumed he was just doing his normal charismatic/smooth-talking stuff w/ them and they’d “flirt” back. both of them were actually trying to flirt & thought the other person wasn’t really interested / was just being their normal self. it drove the other survivors up the wall for WEEKS because they kept hitting on each other and it kept going nowhere. it finally reached a head when they were in a trial together and vita tried to hide in a locker and saw that carlos was already in it, but they both knew they had no time to find somewhere else to hide before the killer was going to come in, so carlos pulled them in with him and closed the locker door. problem was that carlos had his back against the back of the locker and vita was facing forward when they got pulled in, so the two of them got smashed up against each other w/ carlos’s arm still around vita. carlos was dying bc vita’s boobs were pressed up against him and vita was dying bc they were face first in carlos’s chest (and was also VERY quickly aware that carlos either had a flashbang shoved in his pocket or might have something to talk to them about). they had an excruciatingly painful several minutes of hiding while the killer circled the area and they both had to keep quiet. i haven’t plotted out exactly how the conversation goes but either right after that (or shortly after the trial) they have a conversation that boils down to “okay that drove me fucking insane actually”

A - Art - do they draw or paint? what about any other kind of art? what’s their favorite style/subject/another artist who inspires them?

i don’t think carlos draws or paints, but i do think that he would enjoy something where you’re physically shaping the art, like sculpting or pottery, even if he isn’t very good at it. (there’s just something about working with your hands, you know?)

R - Rainbow - what colors do you associate with them and why?:

i associate green (like, a dark/muddy olive green in particular) w/ carlos! mostly bc of his fatigues when he’s working for umbrella

L - Language - what’s their love language? what’s yours?

i think carlos’s love language is a mix of physical touch + verbal affirmations. he’s a very touchy & warm person with anyone he’s friendly with (when he congratulates someone, his first instinct is to clap them on the back while he’s just beaming and talking about how he’s so proud of them), but that gets amped up SO much more in a relationship. he’s always looking for an excuse to thread his fingers with his partner’s or rub his palm on their back or lean over so he can brush up on them while he’s murmuring something in their ear. he’s also very, very big on verbal affection— he has lots of sweet nicknames/pet names for his partner, he’s constantly spilling “i love you”s into their conversations, and he showers his partner in affirmations and praise. i think my own love languages are physical touch + verbal affirmations

O - Online - what is your f/o’s social media presence like, or what would it be like if they had internet in their world/era?

oh god hmm. in a casual AU where he has a diff profession/etc i think he mainly uses it to go back and forth w/ friends like chris and leon. (there’s an edit that someone did of like, person A saying something in a post, person B replying to say that’s dumb, person A replying w/ coordinates, and person B saying “im sorry” and person A is chris and B is carlos. i think thats very accurate) if he posts any selfies or anything though god help him bc ppl are gonna be thirst posting NONSTOP under his stuff

oh, god, i’m not good w/ fairy tales or anything like that. if we wanna go off of the most abstract interpretation in existence, carlos did unfortunately get hit with the werewolf au stick, so they could be red riding hood & the big bad wolf (“bad” lol. as if he isn’t a big sweetheart)

i think that leon’s love language is a mix of physical touch and quality time. with how hellish his work is, he doesn’t get to see his partner all the time (assuming they don’t work alongside him of course), so he really savors any and every minute he can get alongside them. he’s not an overly touchy person in general, but with a partner he craves physical affection all the time and looks for any excuse to get it.

E - Emotion - is your f/o open with their feelings or do they keep them close to their chest?

i think leon keeps his emotions close to his chest. he’s reserved about his feelings and honestly is a little paranoid that if he talks about how he feels about someone it’ll cause bad things to happen to them, because hell, trouble seems to follow him and anyone he cares about, and is it really paranoia if he knows they’re actually in danger? it’s hard to get him to talk about how he feels because he copes with everything going to shit by deflecting and joking or being sarcastic. (of course, if his partner wants to sit down and have a serious talk about his feelings, he will— it’s just not his default state.)

O - Online - what is your f/o’s social media presence like, or what would it be like if they had internet in their world/era?

screams. i think in a modern/casual au setting leon doesn’t use social media super often but he’s just an absolute DUMBASS when he uses it. chris gives him shit about it constantly

Okay, okay, I think I’ve talked about this in an ask before but I can’t find it 😭😭 but it’s okay, I love college aus, so I’ll talk about it again! Plus, now I’ve got more thoughts for more characters, so here we go

Levi — neuroscience and psychology of human behavior

He started out on track to do a bachelor of arts in psychology, but when they touched on the anatomy and biological parts of it during his first year lecture, he switched to a bachelor of science.

The focus is still psychology, but through a more clinical lens. Essentially, he gets the best of both worlds this way. He’s intuitive and analytical, so clinical and mental diagnosis is easy to dissect for him. He’s also canonically good at math, so the calculus and stats parts aren’t too bad, either.

This major also leaves him with a few options post-grad, which is a nice bonus for him. He’s likely going to medical school, but that’s not the only route open to him: law school, therapy, lab work, medicine and pharmacy, even teaching are all viable options without going to grad school.

Do not talk to him about Freud unless you wanna get punted off a building.

Be careful with him, because with a single glance he’s already got scarily accurate predictions about your parental and emotional attachment styles, your behavior in social settings, and the onset (or seemingly lack thereof) of your frontal lobe development.

He thinks he’s so smart making comments like, “I see those synaptic connections aren’t working so well for you today,” like mf come here let me lobotomize you and see how well your synaptic connects are working after that🙄

Eren — general health sciences

He’s interested in science and the discovery aspects of it, but picking a specific field of focus right now feels too final. He likes it this way, because his schedule and requirements are less restrictive, and he has more room to find out what really interests him.

He does best when he’s doing something he loves, so picking a major with a bunch of reqs that he couldn’t care less about would have sucked big time for him. It also would have affected his grades. There are still some classes he has to take that he’s not fond of (see: chemistry), but that’s to be expected. Science in general is cool to him and he hopes to make his own discovery some day, even if it’s microscopic.

He also plays a lot of sports, keeping his schedule flexible is important. The sports end up helping him excel academically, which is a nice bonus. Honestly, Eren uses his time at university to learn more about himself than anything, so having control and freedom to do what he likes the majority of the time was important to him. 

He uses his elective credits to take philosophy or history courses of his interest, or maybe even a course that you’re in just to spend time with you. He also uses you as a live model for his homework bye, congrats on being patient number one to him.

Armin — astronomy and physics

He’s still interested in marine biology, but unless he attended a school near a coast, or with a specialized integrated program for that, it’s unlikely he’d major in it during undergrad.

Space and ocean exploration aren’t all that different. Both are vast, largely unexplored domains that reel-in Armin’s interest for discovery. So, while studying astronomy, he still gets to study evolution and make his own predictions about what could be out there because there’s so much to know.

Physics comes with the territory of learning about planetary science, and he’s mathematically inclined, so it works out for him. Learning about the different physical properties of other planets and space masses is honestly pretty sick to him. Because math isn’t a struggle, he actually considered aeronautical engineering, but he didn’t want to be a part of the college to military pipeline; that is, he didn’t want any potential design of his to be weaponized. 

He still gets to study animal biology through his elective courses, and might even find a few focused on marine animals to satiate him. Plant and cell biology are also of interest to him, and are just further applications of his primary study anyway, so he’s got plenty of room to work with.

This boy is interning at NASA and still, with his whole chest out is like, “I don’t need to discover a new planet, you’re my whole world.” Armin, go check on the Mars rover or something please.

Mikasa — anthropology + minor in japanese language studies

Anthropology is virtually interdisciplinary in nature, and Mikasa is a pretty well rounded student, so she’s able to excel in a program like this. She gets to study history, science, cultural studies, and even a bit of art all at once.

She’s still debating between going to law school vs med school, so anthro this is a good in-betweener. She gets a taste of science through her anatomy and kin courses; and lots of practice with reading and dissecting texts through the historical and cultural lectures. So, when the time comes to decide, she’ll have some experience with both.

Don’t know whether it’s confirmed that she’s (part) Japanese or not, but either way I headcanon that she speaks/spoke some second language at home. She wanted to delve more into it, and courses were offered at the university so why not?

Cultural studies courses end up being her favorite. She likes learning about the history of people and their cultures, and it encourages her to learn more about her own family history and culture. It also propels her to apply for a study abroad opportunity, so she spends at least one semester doing an exchange program and absolutely loves it.

She would also encourage you to apply and go, too. You guys might not be in the same program, but if there’s an applicable program in the same country she’s going to, then she’d definitely want you to apply. Spending the semester away with you would be a dream come true.

Hange — bioengineering + minor in political philosophy and law

It’s almost self-sabotage to be in an engineering program and have a minor; the coursework for engineering alone is backbreaking, and bioengineering has the added weight of human intricacies, but of course Hange makes it possible. 

They’re nothing short of a genius, so of course they have time to work a completely unrelated minor into their schedule. It doesn’t surprise anyone that they go on to complete an MD-PhD after undergrad. Insane. 

Bioengineering is essentially the synthesis of chemical engineering and health sciences; Hange spends their time exploring biological sciences and applies the engineering aspects of their coursework to their understanding of (and interest in creating) medicine. Truly a one of a kind mind. 

They also have an interest in philosophy and justice, so when they found out they only needed a measly nine or ten courses to minor in, they went for it, of course. In honesty, they don’t find the studies all that opposing: both law making and medicine making both have some kind of philosophy or method to them in their eyes. 

Hange has... little to no free time pls. They don’t mind it, because they love their coursework, but this means you are essentially ducking into their labs or scrambling to find them in-between their classes during your time in undergrad. They appreciate every second spent with you tho, and will gladly rope you into long discussions about their work. 

Jean — biochemistry + minor in art sustainability

He was undeclared his first year, and took a little bit of everything: art, science, history, anthropology, english. Basically, anything that fit into his schedule. It was hard for him to pick one thing—he liked the science and lab applications of STEM courses, but not the math; and the obvious painting and creativity of art, but hated the pretentious air about art history.

What he wants to do is make a difference, which is how he ends up knowing that he wants to go to med school after, so he picks a science-heavy major, but uses his elective spaces to take art courses. When he mixes the two, he ends up on sustainability—and the complexities about it that are applicable to both science and art are what really reels him in.

Interdisciplinary studies end up being his forte. He can approach sustainability from a science perspective which impacts his art style and materials; and tuning into his creative side allows him to think about science not just from a purely clinical perspective, but from a human one, too—patients are people after all.

He believes that everything is connected somehow, even things as seemingly opposite as art and biochemistry. And he works towards finding the unique intersection where everything overlaps. His studies are pretty cool, and he’s very passionate about them, so ask him about it 😌

The art he makes is pretty sick, too, and often commentary about science; he’s proving they’re not so opposite. You also heavily influence his studies in both areas: caring about you so much inspires him to take the healthcare focus seriously, and your very nature is inspiration to his art. 

Sasha — nursing

She’s friendly and good at working with people, so nursing was an easy choice for her. She accredits most of her motivation to being around her younger family members, and learns that she finds a simple kind of joy in helping to take care of others.

She struggles a bit her first year when it’s mostly all grades and standardized testing, but when she starts getting clinical experience and working in the hospital on campus, things round out for her.

Patient care is her strongest point. A lot of people often forget that knowing everything isn’t everything; if you don’t know how to calm or even just talk to your patient, you’re not that great of a healthcare professional.

Pretty certain that she wants to work with kids in the future, but she’s open to public health and even being a travel nurse if she finds opportunity there!

Of course, she’s pretty doting when it comes to you and all her friends. She might want to go into pediatrics, but the basics of nursing and health care extend to everyone, so you’re guaranteed to be well taken care of with Sasha around. You might even have to switch roles and take care of her sometimes, because her coursework can get pretty out of hand.

Connie — computer engineering with a focus on game design

He might not look it, but Connie has a brain under that shaved head of his. Computer engineering is cool to him because he basically learns about how simple things he uses every day (ie: phone, computer, microwave) works.

Systems and coding are actually the easy part for him, especially when they get into the application of it and aren’t just stuck looking at examples. That’s how he gets into game design.

The part about math and electricity and magnetic fields… well let’s just say he needed to make friends with someone who likes math and hardware his first year to get through it. But the struggle was worth it, because by his junior year he’s found a professor willing to mentor/supervise him as he works on his game and other projects, so life is good.

His school work is definitely hard, which is why the lives by the mantra of “work hard, party harder.” It’s only fair. 

He makes you a little avatar so you can test out his games for him <33 best boyfriend things <33 He’d also… build a game about your relationship. Every level is a different date you guys went on, and he definitely includes something cheesy, like “There are unlimited lives because I love you forever babe <3”

Porco — kinesiology + maybe mechanical engineering

He’s pretty into athletics and working out, but didn’t wanna go down the sports psychology route; he wanted something that left him with a few more options, so he ended up in kinesiology.

He was surprisingly pretty good at biology in high school, so something stem-oriented works out in his favor, and it turns out he’s pretty damn good at anatomy, too. He’ll probably end up in physical therapy after graduation.

He’s also got a knack for cars, which is where the engineering comes in, but he doesn’t care so much for the math part of it (he doesn’t care for it at all actually, fuck that); he just wants the hands on experience of building/fixing things and working with his hands. So, if he can get a minor in it and not struggle through 4 years of math, then he’d do that. If not, he’d take a few workshop-like classes.

Because he wants to go into physical therapy, you are essentially his practice patient. Your back hurts? Not a problem, he’s basically a professional masseuse. Muscle aches? He’s got a remedy and understanding of why it’s happening. Don’t let him catch you hunting over your desk grinding away at your homework, because he will poke your neck and correct your posture (he’ll also massage your shoulders, but after the scolding).

Pieck — classics + minor in philosophy

Ancient studies interest her, but more than that, the language of ancient Greek and Roman culture fascinates her, so classics is the way to go.

Because her focus within Classics ends up being Greek and Latin language studies, she is essentially learning both languages at the same time. She gets farther with Latin that she does with Greek. For whatever reason, the former comes almost naturally to her, so her written and translated work is more complex in Latin.

However, she finds cultural studies relation to Greece more interesting than that of Rome, so it’s a give and take with both; better at languages for Roman studies, better at culture and history for Greek studies.

Her minor is a natural evolution from her primary coursework. Ancient Romans and Greeks set the foundation for a lot of modern day philosophy, so it comes up in her major classes, but she wanted to delve further into the philosophy, and not just look at it historically, so she takes more courses to fulfill the minor.

Can be found laying on a blanket in the quad on a hot day, with her books spread out all around her, highlighter in hand as she works through her reading. You’re always invited to sit with her, and more often than not, it ends up with Pieck’s head in your lap, a book in her hands, and your own schoolwork in yours as you both read in each other’s company.

Bertholdt — computer science and coding

He’s level headed, good at planning, and above all, patient, so he’s cut out for this. He doesn’t consider himself to be particularly creative, which is why he doesn’t pick a speciality with lots of design; but he’s good at streamlining and ideas to life.

The patience really comes in when his code doesn’t run. It’s frustrating to scroll for two hours just to find out that the issue is a missing semi-colon in line 273 that he overlooked, but Berty will sit there until he finds it.

He’s also good at fixing issues. That’s not limited to issues in the code itself; it can mean finding shorter ways to produce the same function or loop, or integrating new aspects into existing code.

Also, he’d just be so cute, coding away on his computer. Just imagine: Berty working on his homework in the library, he’s got his signature crewneck + collared shirt look going for him, his blue-light glasses, a cup of coffee nearly as tall as him sitting at the corner of his desk. Adorable.

He’d make little codes/programs for you, too, even if it’s silly. A simple code that helps you decide what to eat for dinner or where to go on a date, one that shuffles different reminders for you, hell he’ll even forgo the torture of design engineering just to build you a little robot that says “I love you” to you.

Reiner — english + minor in justice & political philosophy

Everyone expects Reiner, star quarterback of the university’s rugby team, to be a business student or communications student; but no, he’s an English major, and he loves it.

Just imagine a guy as huge as Reiner absolutely manhandling someone on the field, just to show up in his lectures with a tiny paperback of The Great Gatsby tucked between his fingers with his reading glasses on. It’s so precious.

He’s always running a bit late to class—either coming from the gym, or practice, or oversleeping from exhaustion—but he’s so sweet to his professors and genuinely interested in the literature that they don’t give him a hard time about it. They can tell that balancing school and sports is difficult, and they just appreciate that he takes his studies seriously.

Yeah he’s in a book club and he dog-ears his books. What about it. They’re doing poetry this month and Reiner actually likes Edgar Allen Poe. Who said jocks can’t be sentimental.

He also reads a lot outside of his classes, and has a soft spot for coming of age stories. He usually empathizes with the main character somehow. His ideal weekend plans after a week of grueling games and essays is taking a long, relaxing shower at your place, while you both share a bottle of wine, and maybe even get you to read a chapter or two of his current book out loud to him.

Annie — clinical psychology/neuroscience

Almost scarily analytical and methodic, so this major was calling her name. Localizing brain legions is… insanely intuitive to her it’s incredible. She’ll be an insanely impressive doctor someday, even if she doesn’t end up working with patients directly. 

She doesn’t care too much for the more philosophical/reading heavy parts of psychology. Even experiments and research closer to the social end of the spectrum aren’t all that interesting to her; but the brain science behind it it.

Nobody should be good at cellular biology. Nobody should be able to ace cell bio and neuro and calc and work towards their thesis proposal in the same semester, but Annie proves it’s possible.

Ends up working in one of her professor’s labs by her junior year. She was offered three TA positions working with first year students, but she swiftly turned them down. Teaching isn’t her thing.

She doesn’t bring up her studies to you unprompted, but if you ask her about them she’ll explain it to you. Her notes are color coded and it’s super neat, and very cute; coloring them is somewhat relaxing for her. She usually saves the coloring part for when you guys study together; there’s extra comfort in doing it with you around.

I think I covered pretty much all the slashers I write for so far (I didn't do Billy Lenz because I still need to read the novelization). I may have gone way overboard, so if I do these in the future, I'll probably just pick a few instead of doing the whole roster 😅 (or you can pick for me). But doing this much work did distract me!

Bo Sinclair

Despite being autistic, Bo is very in tune with peoples auras and body language. He has to be to manipulate and deceive people with any modicum of success. He's trained himself when it comes to these things; even besides masking or manipulation, he needed to be keenly aware of when his parents were in Bad Moods so he could either avoid them or prepare himself.

The mood he's probably best at when it comes to this, for those reasons, is anger. He can smell anger a mile away. So if you're fuming, you better believe he notices.

At first he's annoyed and will demand to know what your problem is. He's not a very tolerant person, and he can be a bit of a hypocrite. He's allowed to have big, messy feelings, but when it comes to others having big, messy feelings ... he's not so comfortable with that. He gets overwhelmed.

Once he realizes that this is more than an attitude problem, he'll take it much more seriously. And assuming you're not mad at him, he'll want the rundown on the whole situation from beginning to end. He wants all the dirt.

He'll let you rant, and honestly, he'd think you being this angry (when it's not directed at him, but even still sometimes) is kind of sexy. And don't expect him to shut his mouth, either; he'll be ranting right along with you, affirming you and insulting whomever/whatever you're angry about.

He doesn't wanna cuddle. He genuinely thinks you can't cuddle anger away. He'll put on some loud-ass music and let you vent your frustration however you prefer. Maybe suggest a long drive down to the lake or into town or just ... picking a direction and going. He has fantasies of running away from his anger sometimes. He knows how it is.

Depending on what you're angry about, it could definitely get to the point where he's angrier about the situation than you are. And if it really hurt you, he will not let it go as long as he lives. The best he will ever do is maintain a grudging neutrality or distance from the person/situation that made you angry.

He's very protective. If you're angry at someone you need to maintain a relationship with, you're going to have to keep an eye on Bo to make sure he doesn't deliver revenge for you behind your back. If it's something he can solve, he'll do it, so if you don't want him running his mouth, watch him.

Vincent Sinclair

Vincent is in the same boat as Bo when it comes to sensing auras, though his handle on body language and facial expressions is not as keenly honed. While Vincent was not physically abused as brutally or as often as Bo, this wasn't because of some sterling quality he had that Bo lacked. He was always The Good One because he saw what his parents did to The Bad One and knew he needed to protect himself. He tried not to do anything that might provoke his parents.

You can feel anger before a fight like you smell ozone before a storm. Vincent is attuned to the feeling not just because of his parents but because of Bo's temper, too. Because of this, like Bo, he can very accurately sense anger in particular.

His initial reaction is to observe you, gauging if you need time to cool off. If you need space, Vincent is the Sinclair for you. He's used to being quiet and deflecting and riding out anger.

However, once he realizes that your anger is not directed at him or isn't explosive enough to become a problem for him, he's concerned. Rather than asking what happened, he will ask if you're okay, and leave it up to you whether you'll tell him about it or not.

If you vent, he'll sit and listen patiently, maybe even thoughtfully working on a sculpture while you rant. He's not judgemental and he can be very emotional himself, so you could say the most ridiculous, dramatic things and he wouldn't even bat an eye. Let out all your messy, destructive thoughts and feelings. Just try not to throw or punch anything; that's when he shuts down.

If you decide you just want comfort, or decide you need comfort after ranting, art is his first suggestion. It may seem cold to you at first, that his instinct isn't to hold you or kiss you but rather to redirect you to a project - once you got to know him, however, you'd know that's his most genuine way to show he cares. Redirecting to something creative calms him down more than platitudes ever could, and he wants that for you. He's nonjudgmental about the art you create as well, even if it's objectively terrible. It's not about the quality.

He won't turn you down if you need physical affection, however. His twin is extremely tactile, so it wouldn't be the first time he held someone after a breakdown. He prefers to do this if he's certain you won't lash out physically, but if you were in a really bad way and needed to be touched, he'd do it regardless.

Lester Sinclair

Lester witnessed his parents' anger, but it was usually indirectly; if Bo was the Bad One and Vincent was the Good One, he was the Overlooked One. He's not a perfect person, probably not even a good person, but of the three brothers, he's the most normally socialized. He isn't trained to be tuned into everyone's every shifting mood in order to survive.

It takes Lester a little longer to pick up on your anger than his brothers, but not too much longer. It takes him a couple tries at trying to talk to you or get your attention before he realizes something is really wrong.

His first reaction is to get upset. He soaks up emotions like a little sponge, so he's suddenly cranky, too. He also jumps to conclusions and assumes that you're angry with him, and he does not take rejection well. He might be bitter and passive aggressive. You being angry just makes him want to go in another room and not be around you, and yet at the same time, he wants your reassurances. It's messy and sad.

Once he realizes - either through observing you or through you communicating with him - that you're mad at another person or situation, then he'll feel comfortable enough to approach you and ask you about it. You'll definitely need to reassure him that you're not mad at him though.

If you wanna rant, he'll take you on a long drive and let you vent your heart out to him. He won't be quite as aggressive as Bo, but he'll be on your side, frowning with disapproval, telling you "Ya can't fix stupid." If you want only comfort or need comfort after venting, he feels much more equipped for that. He'll put something relaxing in the VHS or let you play his old Super Nintendo, get you a beer, just let you chill out. And he'll let you win at Doctor Mario.

If the situation is something really serious, you best believe he'll be talking to his brothers about it the second he gets a chance. He may be a sweet guy, but he can be real nasty, and he doesn't fuck around when it comes to you. You might have to keep an eye out to make sure he doesn't tell someone off or punch out someone's lights.

Michael Myers (OG)

In 1978, Michael is not very in tune with any emotions besides fear, and even then he only really understands it in an abstract way, as his condition and upbringing haven't really been conducive to him learning about emotions. Unless you're screaming in terror, have tears running down your face, or are shouting angrily, he really can't read your moods. Without any obvious change to how you normally act or look, there's a huge chance he might just not notice if you're angry. He spends a lot of time in his own little world.

In 2018, even though he's spent over 50 years institutionalized, Michael has had time to take in the world, and he's seen a lot more. He understands fear much more than he did when he was 21, but what he understands most of all is anger. His anger fuels him. He would pick up on yours right away and be curious, though he wouldn't verbalize it.

If you tell him how you feel, he'll take note of it. If he witnesses you doing something destructive because of your anger, he'll simply observe. He would be fascinated with this thing you're doing, because it's not something you normally do, and though he might not notice emotions, he certainly notices routine and pattern. Either way, you'll have to tell him how you feel, because he'll simply watch you otherwise.

One thing that can be said for Michael is that he's a good listener. He may not internalize everything you say, but he will remember what he thinks is important. You may be surprised; he may remember tiny little details that seem inconsequential to you but loom large in his mind.

Unless you were caused serious physical or mental harm, he would not be angry on your behalf. He would, however, do nothing to assuage your anger. He thinks it would be kinda neat and interesting to see you snap. He's not 100% sure why you don't just do it.

In 1978, he won't be much help beyond listening to you, but he would be curious to see what you do to vent your anger. You may find him by your side more often, observing you. He may also want to find and observe the object of your anger, especially if it's a person. In 2018, he would, in his own way, suggest you solve the problem by murdering someone/something. He's insatiable, but killing is the closest he's ever come to satisfaction. You should try it.

Jason Voorhees

Out of all of the slashers, Jason is the most likely to actually literally sense your anger, especially if you're psychically sensitive/powerful like Tina Shepard. I'm talkin'—assuming you have a pre-established relationship—he'll be doing something else and just get this itch that tells him you're out there somewhere, pissed off.

Obviously this is untenable. As long as he's not super busy or Pamela has other plans, Jason will stomp his way through the woods to get back to you, regardless of the urgency of your anger. If Pamela doesn't approve, well, he'll let a little anger go and assume you're okay. If he suspects you may be in danger, though, he's sprinting regardless of what Mom says. There's time for both things, Ma!

The first thing he'll do when he returns to you is scan your dwelling, then you, making sure nothing is broken. At that point, you'd probably be able to sense his confusion even without him signing. Jason doesn't experience emotions quite like a human anymore, and he's quite tactile besides, so a lack of tangible or visible clues as to why you're upset would trip him up for a second.

He doesn't want to comfort you at first, he wants to know what's wrong. He'll listen to you vent only long enough to understand the situation and identify his target. His immediate next move would be to eliminate the problem. You'll definitely have to hold him back, and it may take a bit of convincing. Earthly consequences don't really apply to him.

Before comfort comes blowing off steam, for you and for him. His first choices would be mangling some trees (you can pretend it's for firewood) or skipping/throwing stones into the lake. You're welcome to join him if those things calm you down; watching him get his stone to skip like 11 times on Crystal Lake may make you feel better, at least.

You might hang out there for hours before he suddenly decides it's time to go home. He'll do what he can to make your comfortable or stay out of your way while you make yourself comfortable, then comfort you as you please. His go-to choice is always foot or hand massages.

Leslie Vernon

Leslie is extremely observant and surprisingly analytical given how silly he is in the day to day. His intuition makes it pretty easy for him to read people, but especially you, since you two are so close. Especially-especially if you're his Survivor Girl (gender neutral term of course). You two are in sync, so he knows if something's up. Maybe even before you fully figure it out.

God, you're so hot when you're angry, you really are. He almost wants to let you scream and holler and go nuts. But he prefers you only get angry like that at him, especially if you're his Survivor Girl, so his first move is to comfort you or talk you down to a place where you can be comforted. He'll speak to you calmly and rationally, reassuring you and touching you if you wanna be touched—on your upper arms or shoulders or face, or with one arm around your back.

He doesn't just want to comfort you, though, he wants to calm you down enough that you can tell him what happened. Even if you claim you don't want to talk about it, he will coax it out of you eventually. He's gotta know what got you so upset. It's his business to know everything about you!

Assuming you're angry at someone/something that isn't him, he'll talk it through with you. If you're upset about an argument with someone, he has the capacity to see it from the other side, but ultimately, he's there for you. He'll let you bitch as much as you want, still touching you, and he'll be disgusted and/or disappointed with the situation.

Above all, though, what he wants is to see you smile again. The only worries on your mind should be the ones he comes up with, and man, he's not even halfway done grooming the next batch of unlucky teenagers. He'd pat your face or touch your hair and tell you to cheer up, and probably defuse the situation with a stupid quip or joke. Take you out somewhere fun, maybe.

Once you were cheered up, he'd humbly suggest you solve your problem with a little murder. "I mean, I know killing's not really your thing—you're really good at it, though, a talent! You know that..." Pause, considering you. "You want me to do it? 'Cause I can clear my schedule for the rest of the night." If you decline, he'd be like "Suit yourself" but may or may not still murder whoever upset you. If you agree, he'd be super excited to make a romantic night of it. His mind would be going a million miles an hour planning everything out.

Thomas Hewitt

Tommy knows anger when he sees it. Not only does he have loads of internalized anger, he's been on the receiving end of it plenty. He's far too large to be scared of anyone in a physical sense anymore, but he's been shouted at countless times. To know when to shut up and do as he's told versus arguing back, he's learned to gauge intensity and direction of anger, and he well knows that anger can be redirected to him.

So, he instantly recognizes your mood, but it might be a while before he approaches you. When he does approach, he'll let you decide what to do, whether that's throwing your arms around him or banging your fists on his chest to vent your anger. You won't hurt him.

Eventually, once you're all hugged or cried or screamed out, he'll wrap his arms around you and give you a reassuring squeeze. There's no need to tell Tommy what's wrong—he won't ask unless you're obviously in serious distress or injured—but if you decide to speak, he'll listen, brows drawn tightly the whole time. He's thoughtful about the situation.

If you're mad at someone in his family, there isn't much he can do for you besides comfort you and assure you that whoever upset you—Hoyt, probably—didn't mean what they said. If you were hurt physically, it would be another story, but his family gets in shouting matches all the time.

Rather than offering help, he'd wait for you to request it of him. Whatever you ask, shy of hurting his family, he will do. Murder someone? No problem. Make you some food? You got it. Bring you a blanket? Sure. Give you some quiet alone time? That's fine, too.

If you need to vent, he's got plenty of ways to get out your frustration. Plenty of farm work to do, or you could work on something around the house with him. He might suggest knitting or sewing or some other handicraft you enjoy. It always makes him feel better to buckle down and use his hands for something.

If you're still preoccupied/upset by the time you two bed down, or heaven forbid the next morning, then he starts taking it more seriously. Something that disturbs you for that long is bad news. He'll watch you carefully the next couple days to see how you're doing, waiting for you to need him for something.

Bubba Sawyer

Like Tommy, Bubba has been on the receiving end of anger many, many times, so he's familiar with what it looks and feels like. Despite his size, he's still susceptible to physical violence at the hands of his loved ones, so he's very wary of anger.

However, he doesn't have a female presence in his life like Luda Mae, who expresses her anger through passive aggression—so, he's more used to shouting and screaming. If you aren't prone to screaming and shouting, it might take a little bit for him to realize you're not just sad or upset, you're angry.

Bubba will be over you. He'd give anyone else their space because he'd be afraid of retaliation, but you're his special person, and he's pretty sure you're not going to hurt him. He'll touch your hair, your arms, your wrists; he'll babble as he tries to figure out what's wrong. He just wants to comfort you and let you know everything is all right.

If it's too much or you're overwhelmed and you snap at him, he'll ease back. He'll blubber like a kicked puppy, but he won't give up. He'll still try to comfort you, just in other ways, such as getting you a comfort item or article of clothing, or maybe some food. And boy will he helicopter.

There's no need to tell Bubba what's wrong. In fact, it might be better if you didn't; if it's something he can't fix, it would do nothing but majorly stress him out. If it was one of his family members who upset you, as with Tommy, he wouldn't be able to do much. Even if you were hurt, he's just not in a position to stand up for you. That fact would absolutely kill him, though. He'd end up getting even more upset than you.

He doesn't know what help to offer you beyond comfort, but like Tommy, if you requested something specific, he'd try to carry out your wishes. He'll also try to cheer you up with some music and dancing, or just being silly like you like.

Need to blow off steam? He's got plenty of coping mechanisms! Bubba's idea of a perfect de-stress session is turning up the radio and getting lost in crafts. He's got lots of supplies, mostly to create clothing and accessories, and you're special, so you can have your pick. A drive and the radio might be nice, too. If neither of those appeal to you, he'll try cooking or baking with you. He loves sharing the kitchen with someone.

If none of that works and you're still upset, be prepared, because he's gonna be an anxious mess until you're better.

Brahms Heelshire

Brahms is somewhat familiar with other people's anger. He certainly has a whole fountain of internalized anger brewing just beneath the surface, but that's different. He knows that when Mummy is angry, she yells and cries, and when Daddy is angry, he seethes and stews. The former would be obvious to him, but the latter would take him a few minutes to be quite sure about. You're not acting how you usually do. Are you being stern or are you angry? Are you cross with him?

He does not have a lot of empathy for other people, so if your anger gets in the way of his routine or the attention he wants, he'll be irked, cranky, sad. Not necessarily at you—though that is possible—but the situation in which you find yourselves.

Much like Bo, he's allowed to have big, messy feelings, but it makes him uncomfortable and scared when other people have those feelings. He might even hide from you for a while, especially if you screamed and cried.

Once he realizes something is really wrong and you're not mad at him, however, he'll start thinking of ways to cheer you up so things can go back to normal. He hates having his routine interrupted; he's very particular. And he cares for you, so seeing you in distress is very scary and uncomfortable for him.

He'll start by fetching you something you like—something manageable for him like your favorite juice or a sandwich, or if you have a special item or article of clothing, that. He's quite shy, though, and like I said, he'll probably be hiding, so he'll leave it somewhere he knows you'll find it (on the bed, outside your door, on your desk, etc.)

If that doesn't calm you down and your anger is really getting in the way of his routine, or otherwise making him uncomfortable, he'll finally make an appearance. Very bashful and timid at first, using his little boy voice. "What's wrong, Y/N? Did something bad happen?"

If it's something that can't be helped, he'll suggest you do something together to take your mind off it (most likely something he likes to do). He may even be coaxed into taking a walk around the grounds, though he doesn't like to leave the manor at all, so you'd have to convince him. He prefers quiet playtime, maybe some coloring books or loud music to vent your emotions. It would intrigue him to see someone else use his toys to calm down. As long as you recognized he was being very nice, sharing them.

If it was an argument you had with someone, he would want more information. Are they likely to leave you alone, or will they come to the manor? Will he have to deal with them? Because it's scary, but he'll do it for you.

If, for some reason, none of those things work, he may cry or throw a fit. Either way, he'll be frustrated. Adult Brahms may make an appearance and try to help you in more Adult ways.

Erik

Though he lives five cellars beneath an opera house now, Erik hasn't always been entirely reclusive. Even these days, when he can stomach it, he sometimes goes out to see the world. As a younger man, he observed people's lives and moods with a hungry fascination (that has now mostly been replaced by melancholy and longing and bitter anger). Like several of the other slashers here, he's had to train himself to sense fury to protect himself. He's also incredibly wrathful, so you could call him an expert!

He has a very keenly honed sense when it comes to you specifically, since he's watched you so much. He notices the change in your demeanor immediately.

If you know him as the "Angel of Music," his voice will appear to you once you're alone, asking you what's wrong and assuring you you can confide in him—he will insist you tell him, though. "There are to be no secrets between us, Y/N." He will listen without interjection as you vent your heart out, and when you're done, soothe you. Don't let his calming voice deceive you, though; behind that mirror, he's seething, planning to take matters into his own hands.

If you know him as Erik, he will go to you the second he recognizes the shift in your mood and take you from what you're doing, regardless of your wishes. He'll sit you down, kneeling before you with your hands in his, and gaze into your eyes, imploring you to tell him what's wrong. He'll absolutely allow you physical comfort, but he will also absolutely insist you tell. He'll need reassurance that you're not angry at him, because that thought would break his heart.

He will let you vent however you wish. You could have the most dramatic breakdown ever—throwing things, beating your fists on his chest, wailing—and he wouldn't judge you. He would be awfully concerned, though.

Will be 110% on your side. You are his poor little meow meow. "My poor love, my poor Y/N!" He is beside himself with sympathy for you and you only, and is very offended on your behalf.

He will always suggest music as an outlet for your anger, but he will have taken note of your other hobbies and interests as well. He'll fetch your things for you without being asked, as long as it won't separate him from you for very long. If you'd rather just have comfort, that's fine, too. He could hold your hand and caress your face for hours on end under normal circumstances, so no problem there. He may also suggest a little time on the surface, if you normally live in his home. Fresh air will do you both good, he reasons, and he enjoys spending time with you where others can witness it. It fills him with pride and love.

Otherwise, he's at your service for any other soothing activities you need. A calming bath, some sweets, shopping, anything. Perhaps avoid asking for any sexual contact, however. First of all, being asked directly makes him very skittish and nervous; second of all, his method of love-making (when you can coax him) is very intimate and tender, which may be tedious if you're in an angry mood.

Unless the situation is extremely serious or dire, his first priority is making sure you're soothed. Once that duty is fulfilled, however, he is absolutely angrier about it than you are. If it's not that serious, he won't skip straight to killing, if only because he knows it upsets you. He will definitely be writing an extremely strongly worded letter, however. If someone slighted you seriously, they're getting threatened. If someone hurt you physically, they're meeting the Punjab lasso.

Deacon Billings (OC Ghostface)

Deacon definitely knows when people are angry. His step-mom was a passive-aggressive laundry-folder and his dad was a storming out of the house kinda guy; when the two of them were together, they were all hushed but heated arguments at night when they thought he couldn't hear them, or else extremely embarrassing passive-aggressive arguments in public. Growing up, he found himself around a lot of angry people. And there's no shortage of anger in him, either.

So yeah, Deacon knows when people are pissed, and he knows when people are pissed at him. The thing is, he just thinks it's fucking hilarious. He was that kid that would goad peers and teachers just to be an asshole and had virtually no friends as a result. He's a menace on the internet, too: a horrible troll for no reason, stirring the pot even when he doesn't have a stake in the argument. He's trained himself to find people's weak spots so he can strike at them. He does it to make himself feel more in control of his life and his own anger.

So when you're ticked off, he's gonna notice the change immediately. If you made a vent post on social media, he probably knows you're angry before you even see him. He follows all your social media (even if you don't realize it) and checks it constantly. He'd call you out of curiosity to ask what happened. He's open about his stalking tendencies: "I saw your post, babe, who do I need to stab?"

If you otherwise come home angry, he'll be up on his feet, following you around the house and pestering you, trying to get you to tell him what's wrong. If you try to hug him, he won't push you away, but he'll be distracted, trying to needle answers out of you the whole time.

There's no question in his mind as to whether or not you're angry at him. He just assumes you're not; he has a pretty good handle on how you act when you're angry at him specifically.

He'll let you rant all day if you want. You could talk about the shit that's pissed you off for hours and he'd still listen. Outwardly, he might poke you a bit and play devil's advocate for the other side of the argument, if there is one. This is purely for the purposes of being a little shit.

Internally, he's already going down his pre-murder checklist. If it was someone at work, they're dead. Someone in the neighborhood, dead. Online? It'll take a couple days, but they're dead. Even if you're not angry at anyone in particular, just a situation, he'll find someone to menace. He'd walk through fire for your approval.

He's not good with soft, emotional comfort, so instead he'll try to think of something to help you let off steam. His go-to is something competitive, especially if it involves you chasing each other. A Nerf or water gun war, a PVP game with you on opposite sides. He'll put up a good fight, but you always kick his ass.

Once the immediate situation is addressed and you've ranted your heart out to him, he can't keep his hands off you. "Seeing you all pissed off drives me crazyyyyyy." He's grinning, brown eyes sparkling. "Come onnnnn ... I'll get it off your mind!"

Courtney Dwayne Delmont (OC)

Courtney is a hunter of all manner of game, so he's used to interpreting non-verbal cues and body language—when an animal is in distress, when an animal is about to attack, etc. His grandfather was a very angry man, as well, in a simmering sort of way. He would seethe about something before suddenly delivering one decisive strike. Courtney himself is not a particularly angry man, unless some prey is really giving him a hard time, but he can read your body.

If you come home angry, he'll stop in the middle of what he's doing and watch you, still and quiet, just confirming his suspicions. If you leave the room he's in to go collapse on the sofa or something, he'll follow you, looming over you and waiting for you to tell him what's wrong. He's patient.

If you want to vent, he'll sit and listen thoughtfully, doing something with his hands while you speak—probably cleaning his gun or some other weapon. He doesn't look at you. He wouldn't demand greater context to the situation but he would ask "Why?" and "Who?" until he understood Enough.

If you want comfort, he'll sprawl on the couch and let you lay on top of him. He'll probably pull a blanket on top of you to try and encourage a nap. If the nap doesn't make you feel better, he's feeding you protein. Do you like homemade jerky?

Sex is also on the table (not literally ... unless). He's found it's a great way to blow off steam, and he's more than happy to make all worries, troubles, and other thoughts go away for a little bit. Expect that to be the rest of your night, though, because he doesn't do quickies.

Generally, he trusts you to handle your own shit, so he would be more focused on you than whatever made you feel the way you do. However, if days passed and you were still angry/upset/sad, or if it plunged you into a breakdown or was an otherwise extremely serious situation ... just give him a target. It's up to you, but if you tell him to take the shot, it'll be quick and clean. If you're unable to make the decision, he'll decide for you without hesitation.

Kathleen Montgomery (OC)

I'm still developing her so this one won't be as in-depth and is subject to change.

Kath makes it her business to know everything about you. Chances are she's seen you explode screaming while stalking you ... chances are, if you've been in a relationship for a while, she's made you explode screaming. She knows what you look like when you're angry. Besides, she's strong for her size, but she often has to take down people who are much bigger and stronger than her; she uses manipulation and trickery to help ease that divide, so she's good at reading people.

Like Deacon, she also monitors all your social media, so if you made a vent post, she already knows you're in a shitty mood before you come home. Unlike Deacon, she doesn't tell you how she knows, so you're left to assume she's just all knowing. Considering her god complex, that works for her.

She'd probably text you to come home, and she expects you to answer. If you're unable to come home, she'll call you to ask what's wrong.

Once you're together, she wants to know everything about the situation. Even as you're speaking, she's already on her phone or laptop, looking up the people involved. Instead of getting mad on your behalf, she laughs. She's a fan of emphasizing how pathetic or weak the opposition is.

She takes your feelings on the subject seriously, but everyone else in the situation? Insects. Not even worthy of your time or concern, let alone hers. You're obviously in the right here (even if you're not). She'll tell you as much, and say some pretty intense, over-the-line things about whomever/whatever you're angry at.

Overall, however, she's calm and collected about the situation. Your bout of anger is a chance to get you to be reckless with her. She'll do your hair and makeup and dress you up nice, then take you out. Fast driving, drinking, baiting people at bars, menacing neighborhoods ... maybe a little killing, if you'd like.
