panic — gojo satoru x gn!reader

a bright and sunny day it is, one of a kind and so is gojo’s state which is hilarious to geto.

gojo, all-time limitless sorcerer, one of the strongest to exist, and the most confident person on earth, is currently panicking and it has been going on for quite the while.

“suguru, I am serious! I think I have a problem or something!”

geto chuckles while eating his soba, “do tell me more.”

“so when y/n passes by I feel like my stomach is just twirling around itself or like there is stuff moving inside! I feel my breath hitch and I can’t help staring—”

geto, humored, nods for his best friend to continue, “—and I feel my heart beating so fast, it’s worrying. I talked about it to shoko, but she just gave me the stank eye and left!”

geto smiles. that does sound like something she would do, unlike him, she has no patience for satoru’s oblivious ass, “is there anything else?”

satoru frowns at his best friend, deeply troubled, “you’re not taking this seriously, are you?”

“I mean semi-seriously, honestly. It’s dumb that you can’t tell what you’re feeling,” geto notes and satoru huffs, annoyed.

geto flutters his eyelashes and talks in a higher voice, “is little mister gojo that foreign to love?”

satoru’s cheeks are a soft pink as he protests, “I know love very much, thanks! In fact, I have received it a lot!”

“satoru.”

“what now?”

“if I told you that I get butterflies in my stomach whenever I am around someone and that they make my heart beat so fast and that I can’t help but get lost in their beauty, what would you say?”

“you’re in love, obviously.”

geto merely smirks.

it takes a few moments before satoru’s eyes widen slightly in realization, but he doesn’t get to react further to the revelation as he hears your voice, “satoru, hey!”

he sees you waving from afar and waves back at you with a (not so) relaxed smile. he hurriedly turns to suguru and whisper-yells, “does my breath stink?”

geto smiles and nods eagerly.

satoru’s face turns pale as he looks around for anything to solve his terrible dilemma.

he finds none.

you tap his shoulder.

oh no.

“how are you today?” you ask.

satoru covers his mouth with both hands and replies with a muffled, “more than perfect!”

you giggle at his silly antics, already used to them, “why are you covering your mouth then?”

geto pops up from behind him, “the thing is—“ he smirks at satoru, “he got hit with a curse and now his mouth looks absolutely disgusting. you wouldn’t want to see it.”

satoru glares at geto and before he curses him out, you speak up.

“I don’t think it would be that bad. plus I don’t think satoru ever looks bad,” you smile at satoru and he feels like the sun has blessed him with pure rays of sunshine.

you feel someone wrap their arm around your shoulder; it’s shoko, “let me tell you more about the curse satoru was hit with.”

the devil is here, satoru laments; he is done for.

she whispers in your ears all the symptoms of little mister gojo then pulls back with a smirk, “all of that because our cute little kouhai named y/n.”

you take a moment to organize your thoughts and you, seemingly heartbroken, look at satoru—who’s fighting with suguru—, “you think I am a curse?”

he throws the laughing suguru away and looks at you, “what?! no! you are the most beautiful i have ever seen! are you dumb?!”

geto whistles encouragingly and shoko claps.

satoru pouts then he looks at you, taking a deep breath. “well, the cat’s out of the bag!” he beams and walks just a little closer.

he is back to being confident, no longer flustered and unable to form proper words, but there is no denying the way his cheeks are rosier than usual.

“I like you, y/n.”

you laugh and he splutters, shocked, “I just confessed to you and you’re laughing?!”

“I already knew that, though.”

all three of them turn to you, “HUH?!”

shoko speaks up, “and you let me suffer THROUGH HIS CLUELESS RANTS?!”

“why didn’t you say anything?” geto asks, ignoring the shoko who’s pitying herself for all the times she had to listen to gojo indirectly ranting about how beautiful you look, every. SINGLE. DAY.

satoru is sat on the ground, surprisingly silent, and trying to figure out just what to do with himself.

you sit on the ground in front of him, “first of all, you were pretty obvious like ‘omg she is here; I gotta act cool’ type of obvious.”

satoru rolls his eyes at you, but you continue while pinching his cheek, “and you mumbled it in your sleep more than once.”

“wow, when your unconscious mind knows about your feelings more than your conscious one,” geto muses, “shoko, you should write about this experiment, you will earn a ton.”

“already ahead of you, “ shoko mumbles as she scribbles in her notebook.

a frown finds its place on satoru’s lips as he half-heartedly glares at you, gently swatting your hand away, “I don’t like you anymore.”

you press a soft kiss to his cheek and it catches him by surprise, “too bad I guess and I had so much affection to give too!”

satoru looks at you for a moment before clutching his chest dramatically, “AH! I’ve been defeated by your love!” he says as he comically falls on your lap.

he awaits a reaction and he does get plenty, just not what he wants.

geto smirks, “oh finally, he’s dead.”

“oh my god, let’s take a photo!”, shoko smiles.

“y/n, they’re bullying me!”

you frown, “aw man, you’re alive again.”

“babe?!” satoru screams betrayed.

sorry i finished new episode and i'm obsessed as ever

kabru clasping hold of laios' hands is so insane. laios doesn't remember this little twink's name, all he remembers is that this guy ate monster food with him and showed a slight enthusiasm for him, which to laios is unthinkable

it's hilarious seeing kabru's fervent obsession with and manipulation of laios' feelings and priorities contrasted with laios' depths of pain and distress at shuro's rejection of him and how that was borne of shuro hiding his true feelings

obvs for shuro like. he's explicitly introduced with a level of politeness and also emotional repression that's linked not only to his cultural upbringing in the east but is obviously related to his class position, esp bc the dungeon was meant to serve as his coming of age

or to hone his experiences for a return to rule as lord - and with his proposal to falin like. it's so interesting to me that shuro finds so many of falin's traits so desirable when she and laios genuinely are so similar

falin IS extremely high-empathy whereas laios is very low-empathy, but they find pleasure and joy and intrigue in similar things, they have similar senses of humour, they're similarly inexpressive or overly expressive depending on the moment

at the end of the day like, if you're going to propose to that girl and ask her to come back to your home country and marry you despite the fact that she's so obviously a lesbian, at the very least you have to pretend to like her brother

but like. she's quite LIKE her brother. they have the same broad frame, if laios gained a bit of weight i bet he'd have a similarly luxurious bust, they're both a bit clueless. she's just a woman and laios is just a man

but yeah sorry to move on from shuro's deep and seemingly inherent distrust, nay disgust, of other men that is no doubt informed by the extent to which he's been raised wholly by legions of women vs his inclination to see other men as rivals or opponents

(worsened by the extent to which he sees laios as naive and is offset by the extent of laios' earnestness)

but here you see the EXACT SAME THING happening to laios again in REAL TIME. someone else needs to keep him on side and so they're being polite

kabru is going beyond politeness and is outright lying and manipulating because he's just a delicious bitch that way, but like. the exact same thing is happening to laios - he thinks he's making a new friend and he is LATCHING ONTO kabru just like he did to shuro

is he being intelligent or tactful about it? no. god no. he's infodumping eagerly about monster food, he's answering all of kabru's questions - and!!! kabru is asking him QUESTIONS! he's being so ENTHUSIASTIC!!! and so laios rushes to cook for this new friend, this stranger

and inwardly kabru is horrified because jesus fuck, is this guy SERIOUS? and yeah he's serious about everything, he's earnest and eager about absolutely everything, and kabru is fascinated with this new variety of man but also... fucking hell

i think it's vital that they're introduced to one another initially in this group setting, because i think marcille, who is much naturally more distrustful, would ask more questions of kabru - and falin is very trusting but also would. twig something off about everything

i die because like. falin left home because she couldn't handle people's issues with magic and also because like. she was constantly in the position, i would have no doubt, of trying to explain laios to their family and friends, whilst also being beset by spirits

like obviously she wanted to go to magic school, but it was more than that - she needed to go out and grow and become an adult, and not do so in her brother's shadow and laios went off on his own, haplessly, and they end up together again bc they take care of each other

falin is a weird girl, she likes to play in the dirt, she accidentally does all this genius stuff, she's a little clueless and a little out of it, but to marcille and shuro, this is desperately desirable - she's beautiful, she's a genius, she's so loving

they see those things in her because they shine out of her like sunshine - especially because she's not intimidating, you know? whereas laios, blundering, autistic, selfish, obsessive laios, who talks a mile a minute and is so tall and broad, people find him to be too much

idk i just. i think for falin a big difficulty she has is actually in setting boundaries - she's always rushing to take care of laios even though it's not her job, she holds back on saying no to shuro because she hates to say no

marcille touches falin ALL over, touches her hair, scrubs her clean, holds her TIT while channelling magic, and falin is overwhelmed by it and you can see it in her face, but saying no is so hard for her - no to spirits, to strangers, to her friends, to her brother

i say this because like. they really don't interact much at all in the course of the manga but i think that kabru and falin actually have so much in common, both of them haunted by ghosts and both of them fixated more than they mean to be on laios

falin because to some extent i think she feels guilty about abandoning him to go to school even though she NEEDED that, and kabru because he's just an obsessive little homo and he can't cope with his need for laios' massive dick

Just read the whole 'how Andreil pans out' ask and all I'm saying is that I love the idea of Andrew Courting Abram and Abram just absolutely misses that it's what is happening. Part of it is just a cultural difference, Evermore and Palmetto have different courting cultures perhaps?

Another part is that Andrew really does not act all THAT different. He's giving Abram gifts but like Andrew is always giving Abram stuff? It's not new? Yeah they had dinner together but that's just like what they......do?

Another another part is just Abram not even considering himself as someone worthy to be with Prince Andrew like that. He wasn't worthy before and after Evermore and everything I could imagine he feels even less like a person let alone a person who deserves Andrew's positive regard.

IDK I just love the idea of Abram at some point like 6 months into Andrew trying to court him seeing that behavior somewhere else, being told that's how nobility in Palmetto court others, and going to Andrew like "Have you, perchance, been trying to court me?"

Andrew setting his glass aside and looking up from where he's seated, "For 6 moons Abram, glad you've finally noticed." - @jtl-fics

jtl I. Wish. You could have seen my face as I read this, this is so hilarious and heartbreaking and lovely all in one and I’m in LOVE okay i love this so much. And we can totally make it work ahhhhh

Like yes! Yeah! Andrew’s already a gift giver, it’s just what he does as far as Abram’s concerned, and they spend so much time together that dinner isn’t strange those are perfect points. Like to the court it’s starting to become obvious - maybe in the kinds of gifts Andrew gives, or some other small things that are new, yes, but Abram has always taken these things in stride and usually his lack of judgement when Andrew tries new things or changes in little ways is a huge relief but not this time Abram PLEASE

Finally Andrew just bites the bullet and goes for a gesture that’s way more out of character and harder to mistake, which might look something like this (and thank you @leedee013 for tags about them giving each other flowers that I LOVED):

And Abram can’t really form his thoughts into words because like you said; he doesn’t think he should be allowed something like that, there’s no way he’s ever EVER going to assume that Andrew is trying to confess or clue him in to a courting like this, even if it’s in his head now

But then Lady Reynolds sees Abram later heading back to the castle/wherever he stays carrying this bouquet of carnations (fascination), narcissus (honesty/truth) and acacia (hidden love) (let’s not look too closely into these flower meanings lol, i picked the first ones I found and I’ll field all further questions with ‘artistic liberty’ 🫶) and they’re pretty close friends by now so she’s immediately like “oh my GODS Abram who gave that to you”

And Abram quietly says “the prince”

And Allison’s won like three separate bets between various other people of the court and she’s elated

But maybe she takes pity on him when she realizes exactly how clueless Abram is, so she does her best to explain everything and finally, Abram begins to allow the possibility that maybe Andrew is doing all this on purpose. But he would really rather like to be certain.

And of course I had to draw your little exchange but I did it from memory so apologies for the changes in dialogue but I love it:

ANYWAY from there, when it’s cleared up, it’s just them being dumb and sweet and grasping at straws for how to be in love and natural about it (because they’re both very private people and a good number of average/expected acts of courtship aren’t necessarily in their wheelhouse) 😭🥹 and not to add yet more hurt/comfort but Andrew is so so determined to figure out a way to assure and reassure Abram that he knows what he’s doing, yes Abram is worth it, yes he’s doing these things because he wants to. If he didn’t want to he wouldn’t be doing it in the first place. And I’ll bring it back around by using my previously mentioned artistic liberty to say that yes Prince Andrew loves having his hands held/kissed (just by Abram naturally) and Abram figures this out and absolutely uses it against him. They love each other your honor

Happy Saturday wonderful fandom :) Ahhh the next in the line of goodies to come. This one doesn’t have a ton for them but doesn’t mean there isn’t absolute gems in it. So it'll be a littler shorter than the last one ha Also Aaron is amazingly hilarious in this episode. I love him to death. Let us get started.

5x09 Take Back

We start off with Tim being Watch Commander while Grey is miserable in NYC ha Things get immediately awkward when Chris arrives. Still clueless as ever asking Tim of all people about Lucy’s taste in houses. I mean if you don’t know her taste at this point should you really be buying a house together? Tim looks intrigued when he says he needs his opinion then it gets so awkward when it's about a house...

Tim is so very uncomfortable when he asks his opinion. Knowing this is going NOWHERE for Chris. I’ll never forget this hilarious post I saw about this scene after it premiered. I couldn't find it this time around. Had the lyrics from anti-hero by Taylor swift. ‘It’s me. Hi. I’m the problem it’s me.’ You ain’t ever getting that house with her because of that man sitting there LOL Idk why that post made me laugh so hard but it did. It stuck with me clearly haha

It’s so very weird Chris comes to Tim for this. It's obvious he knows Tim knows her the best. Crazy to me he's not threatened at all by that fact. Clearly he isn’t if he’s coming to Tim for advice. Blows my mind how blind he is. Lucy comes in asking what they’re talking about? Chris tells her he found THE house. Lucy looking as uncomfortable as ever at this news. Saying he's going to call the realtor and call her later. Lucy's high pitched 'I can't wait...' Couldn't be more awkward if she tried.

He gives her a kiss on the cheek and leaves. Tim giving that good ole fake Sanford smile when he does. Tim's face crack me up. Like he stole your girl and you have no idea you putz heh Also just so on brand for Chris to not see how uncomfortable Lucy was. He’s been blind their entire relationship It’s unreal. You can also see how much Tim hates seeing him kiss her. Even if it’s on the cheek.

It’s almost a grimace really as he watches it. Probably thinking of all the ways he could easily kick his scrawny ass haha That fake smile begging for Chris to leave the room so this awkwardness can pass. How Chris doesn’t pick up on either of these vibes I don't know. But then we call him the clueless clown for a reason don’t we?

Lucy doesn’t look comfortable till Chris leaves the office. Tim asking 'How the breakup is going?' HA Cleary it's going well Timothy...Lucy tells him she’s in the planning stages. Just reviewing the literature. Classic Lucy response. Wanting to plan this out completely before pursuing it. Tim telling her a psychology journal isn’t going to tell her how to break up with Chris. I mean he's not wrong.... It's just a bandaid you have to rip off even if its uncomfortable as hell.

He’s so matter of fact with his wording. Using a sports metaphor to explain how she should do it. Makes me wonder if he's actually done this before? Ha She’s adorable in her reply of saying ‘Playbill?’ She truly has no idea what he’s talking about. It’s too funny. It's comical really Tim giving her advice on how to break up with Chris. So you know he can date her haha

Tim has been very patient in all this but you can see him getting a little antsy about it. It is interesting how full circle this moment is. He set them up in 4x12 and now he’s ready to help break them down in this 5x09. Tim is just so ready for Lucy to do this cause he’s anxiously waiting to be with her. It’s pretty damn cute if you ask me. He’s trying to be patient but also is like can we hurry this along a bit?

Lucy says that’s too cruel she wants to handle it her way. No matter how this goes down Chris is going to be hurt though. It's how breakups go there is alway someone who walks away more upset about it. Her empathy taking the front seat in this decision. Where Tim just wants her to rip the bandaid off. Get this over with ASAP.

This is where we see little bit of Tim’s self doubt kick in. It's written all over his face when he asks her if she's having doubts? Worried she’s delaying this because she is having second thoughts about him. About them. Lucy immediately squashes his anxiety with her reply. Shooting massive heart eyes his way as well. She wants Tim to know she’s all in just like he is. That there is nothing for him to worry about.

I love how sure Lucy looks when she tells him 'No, I'm not'. She is so certain this is what she wants. Needs him to know this as well. Not a doubt in her mind about this whole thing. She just has stuff to work out with this breakup first. The certainty in her eyes is everything. Nothing makes more sense to her in this moment than him.

That confidence of hers is why Tim relaxes the way he does above. His whole body draining of the tension he was carrying. His cute smile saying ‘Good.’ Could this man be more of a soft puppy for her? Look at him. That hope and excitement back in his eyes. Lucy replying in kind with her own 'In love 'gaze. They’re both all in and it makes my heart very happy. Also they’re having a full on flirt session in Grey’s office for everyone to see.

I adore Tim being so open and vulnerable in this scene. Making sure she wasn’t backing out. The same Tim who couldn’t communicate in his other relationships to save his life. But with this he is checking in with her. Letting Lucy know his stress about her not breaking up with Chris yet. Lucy assuages his worries instantly. When it’s the right one the harder stuff seems a little easier. More natural. Lucy sensed that panic and instantly calms him with her words and heart eyes. Gah so good. Look at these idiots in love. I just adore them so very much.

This next scene with Aaron is pure gold. I love him so much he cracks me up. Never expected him to be as funny as he is. He notes how quiet she is being and is asking what's going on? Lucy letting him know she needs to break up with Chris. First off like to say we are all Aaron when he says ‘Finally.’ To her breaking up with Chris. Yesssss and Hallelujah finally breaking up with the clown. Nails it even further when he says Chris was never on her level. I mean yeah he never was. Not ever.

Aaron is speaking for the whole Chenford fandom in this moment LOL Chris had nine lives with her and they've finally run out. Aaron's reaction is the best part of this scene. I love that he knew where Lucy's heart was and it obviously wasn't with Chris. He knows it’s with Tim 100 percent. Like most people in their world do. Tim is her equal in so many ways it’s insane. Chris could never compare as Lucy figured out last ep.

Aaron tells her they can practice her breaking up with him. So it’s much easier when the time comes. It’s not a bad idea tbh. This is where it gets hilarious. Lucy brings up them looking at houses. Aaron kinda judging her for letting get as far as looking at houses. Telling her 'Yikes....' HA Tell us how you really feel my man. Lucy reprimanding him saying that is not helpful....Oh Aaron I love you so very much.

Lucy starts her speech trying to find her footing in what she is trying to say. She looks over at Aaron in the middle of it and see he is crying. lol If you didn't laugh at this scene you're dead inside. It's so damn funny. Lucy asking him WTF he is doing? Aaron telling her he is channeling Chris's pain LMFAO I mean he's not wrong she had to be prepared for an emotional response. It's just the way he went about this that is so hysterical. He is having way too much fun with this.

Telling her they should do angry next. I'm rolling. Lucy is doing some channeling of her own. She is channeling her man in this scene. It’s so funny. So aggravated with his role playing in this. Wondering why she asked for his advice in the first place? hahaha They then get a call about a 'Navi'. Lucy is so confused. Aaron geeks out and says it's from Avatar. Tells Lucy she should ask if it’s full grown. The look she gives she is channeling her husband again so much. ‘Aaron, it’s a fictional character...’ LMAO

I really love this ending scene with them. Aaron wants to do one more practice run with her. Lucy tells him she doesn’t need it. (Oh but you do....) That she’s just going to go with her gut on this one. It sounds like a solid idea in the moment but it's honestly the worst thing to wing it. Especially when it's something this intense.

When something is this emotional the right words tend not to just come to you IMO. They sure don't for me. I love him being brutally honest with her about it LOL Saying it’s a terrible idea. That he likes the sentiment but this isn't going to end well. I mean he’s not wrong as we will see here in a bit. Lucy once again channeling Tim in this moment. Cutting him off from saying anything else and just tells him good night haha

We get to the breakup scene we’ve all been waiting for. Lucy is bumbling and awkward. Not knowing where to start. Chris once again blind as a bat. He has no idea why she’s acting this way. Lucy curses Aaron for being right about this moment. Saying she should practiced more LOL I adore her panicking and defaulting to Tim’s playbook advice haha idk what’s funnier that or her being shocked Chris knows what she means by saying that.

All that prep and thinking this out and she went with her man’s advice on how to end this. This makes me giddy to no end. I bet you it’s cause Tim was on her mind from the minute Chris entered the apartment. My guess is that is part of the reason she fell back on his advice. Literally the most Lucy Chen thing ever to use it then be surprised Chris knew what she meant. I love her sfm haha

Chris stumbles around shocked as hell she’s breaking up with him. He seems so very blindsided by the whole thing. I mean if the man opened his eyes for once he wouldn’t be that shocked…But this Chris we are talking about. Lucy tries to get him to talk to her more. Saying they should sit down and talk this out. Chris just bails not wanting to talk at all. Not wanting to fight for her at all. Just takes off like a child who didn't get what he wanted.

Now I’m ok with this. Obviously we all are. Just goes to show you Tim was willing to fight for her and Chris wasn’t in the end. Lucy said it was over and he just left. I mean he wasn’t wrong there isn’t much to talk about out. She doesn’t love him. But still no fight in him at all after Lucy does this. Just folds like a cheap suit. A clueless clown from beginning to end...

We’ve reached the scene of the ep that made us all swoon and squee. I remember feeling so anxious to get to this scene. I had to re-watch the episode to truly appreciate it all. I was too antsy to get back to them sharing a screen. I was so damn giddy this was the place we were in. They spent the majority of this episode apart. So all I could focus on was her coming back to him in this moment.

I adore Lucy coming back into the station to talk about the breakup right away. Needing to share this news with him as soon as she could. I love that she returned to work just to tell him about this. So anxious to get back to Tim after it was done. Lucy wanted him to know as soon as she could it was over with Chris. Knowing he was just as anxious as she was about the breakup. It's sweet how he tentatively approaches her when she says why she is back.

He wants to be understanding about it. Seeing if she wants to talk about it more. Doesn't just want to jump the gun and bulldoze her feelings about the matter. Lucy isn't there to chat about that though. She wants to cash in on him asking her out. Because she couldn’t wait another second without him asking her out again. They're both so damn nervous and sweet in this scene. Fidgety and excited about the prospect of their future. Lucy messing with her hands the entire time as she explains the breakup. Tim keeping his distance while she explains it.

Gah I love her fidgeting near her ring as she approaches Tim. Anxiously awaiting for him to ask her out again. Lucy’s nervous way of reminding him to ask her again like they decided. How she looks into the bullpen before approaching Tim. Saying ‘So…’ He looks nervously excited by her doing this. Eric the king of expressions strikes again. The entire station can see into this office. He looks so friggin cute in his nervousness. I love that that she makes him nervous like this it's so adorable. Lucy gains her confidence and looks him directly in the eye flirty as can be. Asking him if there's something he wants to ask her? The whole purpose of her returning to work is to secure their date. Telling him about the breakup was the catalyst yes. But truly she was wanting to hear him ask her out again.

Tim see's her confidence and starts shaking off his own nerves. Replying in a sassy manner. Their banter the undercurrent of this moment going forward. Fueling them with the courage to say what they want to. Tim can't help being playful and sassy with her replying ‘I can’t remember.’ Doing that cute smirk of his that I love so very much. Wanting to push her buttons a little because well it's Tim.

Lucy is affectionately violent in her reply haha Look at her she is beaming with adoration. She loves this goober in front of her so very much. ‘Don't make me hurt you.’ Because she would legit hurt him if she had to in this moment haha I saw a funny parallel from this to her ripping that tape off in 4x07. She'll do it Timothy LOL Don't test your girl.

I love how he gets serious after she says this. It's the way he slowly moves towards her. That intent look on his face in the first one. *fans self* gah. Then in the second one the way he melts for her. In a way only Lucy gets to see. Asking with as much giddiness and excitement as I ever seen in this man. "Do you wanna go out on a date? Look at this puppy of a man. He is beyond excited to ask her this question again. Knowing now he will get a yes with no stipulations this time around. There is still a little nervous hesitation in his delivery which is precious.

Lucy is bursting at the seams with absolute giddiness when she replies ‘Yeah. I do.’ So happy he's asked her again. How one looks when the man they love asks them out. There’s so much to love about this scene. He’s asking her out in the Watch Commanders office. I love that sfm. Both ecstatic they’re finally going on a date with nothing holding them back now. They’re at work and have to restrain themselves from being too obvious. Which you know they suck at heh

My god anyone looking in on them in that last gif could see how in love these two are. They're so excited just to be around each other right now. The way they’re just standing there looking into each other’s eyes with the dopiest in love smiles. I cannot. I remember thinking the break was gonna take forever to get through. What a time to be alive watching this the first time I remember. LOL

Based on that previous anon ask, I started wondering what could possibly motivate Saiki to be the one actually wooing Toritsuka, given his general passivity and the Inherent Cringe of liking Toritsuka.

And I think it would almost have to be a life-threatening situation for Saiki to do it hsfjdlshfks. His disastrous ace ass would really rather suppress eternal pining for Toritsuka to making a move on him than actually admit to having feelings lol. Maybe after like 5-10 years of Toritsuka being clueless would Saiki start making moves!

Here's the premise for a situation I thought up though, that would be fun:

Okay so in manga chapter 109, the occult club trip episode, Toritsuka shows off his bedroom, which has been outfitted with the latest in trendy goods.

Where'd he get the money for it? The monks were definitely not financing this, and the only time we see Toritsuka make money is afterwards, in chapter 130, when he charges tourists money to ring the new year's bell.

Toritsuka is obviously not working any sort of job, and it's unlikely that he's straight-up stealing money, so my explanation is that his dad has $$$$$ and occasionally feels a little guilty about sending his son to superhell a random temple, and can be convinced to fork over cash sometimes.

So anyways here's the actual situation: Toritsuka's dad is actually hella rich but Toritsuka has no clue that when his dad kicks the bucket that he's in for a mega inheritance.

However, there's a woman who's figured that out, and she's thinking that if she can trick Toritsuka into marrying her, she can get his dad killed off and then take everything in the divorce by making it seem like he was cheating on her or abusing her or something.

Saiki finds this out when Toritsuka excitedly presents his new girlfriend to him. Saiki would normally just tell him that she was evil, but he catches onto Toritsuka's excited and happy thoughts about finally feeling wanted instead of always being considered trash, and his hope that he'll finally get over his impossible crush on Saiki.

Now Saiki is stuck, because he knows Toritsuka will be completely crushed if he reveals to him that he's still garbage and that girl only wants him for financial reasons. Even if Saiki can trick the girl into admitting the truth, or if he can terrorize the girl into abandoning her scheme and dumping Toritsuka, the end result will still be Toritsuka feeling like shit.

The only way to save Toritsuka's newfound self-esteem would be to convince him to dump her on his own, at which point Saiki can get rid of her more permanently.

And at first, Saiki tries to make her look bad in front of Toritsuka, but this accomplishes nothing because Toritsuka is really determined to hang onto the only girl who's ever accepted him and he's also trying really hard to get over Saiki.

Saiki knows if he just bluntly tells Toritsuka that he likes him, Toritsuka won't believe it, and will (correctly) think that there's some ulterior motive involved. Toritsuka's not THAT stupid.

So there's basically no option left, except wooing Toritsuka so he dumps the girl in favor of Saiki. Saiki has to make it obvious that he really likes Toritsuka and would be open to dating him, but make it subtle enough that Toritsuka doesn't get suspicious.

And you could do this by having Saiki as himself or having Saiki go one step further and approaching Toritsuka as Kuriko, with a different enough look that Toritsuka won't recognize Saiki (and then have a moment where Toritsuka ends up recognizing her anyways because she keeps reminding him of Saiki).

"How would Saiki attempt to woo someone" is already a hilarious question to ponder, but adding in an oblivious Toritsuka makes that even funnier.

Adding this idea to the free real estate pile in case anyone wants to write this lmao.

You and Sae have been close ever since childhood. You first met him in school and excitedly asked him to be friends with you since you thought he was cool. Not long after you and him were attached at the hip. Sae would invite you over and that’s how you met his younger brother Rin, who you heard many stories about.

Your first meeting with Rin was awkward as he hid behind Sae, shyly peeking from behind his older brother and looking at you in wonder. All you could do was wave awkwardly at him. He didn’t willingly go out of his way to interact with you whenever you were over but you just figured he was shy.

Even though Rin never talked to you, you always approached him first with that radiant smile on your face. When you and Sae were hanging out and you noticed Rin looking at you both around the corner you would always invite him to join you both. That’s how he started developing a tiny crush on you.

He silently admired you from then on. He didn’t want to admit it but he was jealous that you always focused on Sae. It was as if he manifested Sae’s departure when he announced the next day that he was leaving for Spain. When you found out you were devastated but you of course were happy for your best friend and fully supported him on his journey of being the best striker in the world.

But waving bye to Sae and watching his figure leaving you to board the plane was the moment that really struck you that he was leaving you and for a long time too. The reality hitting you sent a wave of depression over you and you pulled the clueless Rin next to you into a hug. He was surprised by your action but soon melted into your embrace and even patted your back trying to provide some sort of comfort for you.

You said nothing but snuggled into him deeper, holding back the tears that were threatening to spill out. Rin wasn’t complaining at all in fact he was savoring this moment holding back a smile.

From that day on you and Rin frequently hung out and before you knew it you two became best friends. You were always there cheering him on at his practices and games which motivated him more to try to catch up to his older brother and make their shared dream a reality.

On one random day you were suggesting to Rin that you both should FaceTime Sae. “What’s the point? He’s too busy to call us.” “There’s no harm in trying, I miss him so much.” That’s when Rin snapped, “It’s always Sae this Sae that, what about me?!”

You looked at him shocked, “Rin, what are you talking about?” He sighed, “I like you, for a long time now. Ever since I was little I was always ‘Sae’s brother’ but you were the only person to see me as me, as Rin.” Your mouth dropped open in shock at his confession. Rin sighed, “It’s ok if you don’t feel the same, I just wanted to tell you how I feel.”

You quickly recovered from the shock and shook your head side to side. “That’s not it at all, I like you too! It’s just that Sae’s my childhood friend, of course I’d want to catch up with him, you know?” Rin sighed a breath of relief, “Phew, I was convinced for the longest time that you liked Nii Chan.”

“Pffft hahaha that’s hilarious. How could I ever fall for someone like Sae, he’s such a goof.” “I’m telling him you said that.” “I AM GONNA KILL YOU IF YOU DO.” He grabbed your hands and pulled you closer to him. “I can’t die just yet, I haven’t gone on a date with you yet.” You pulled away from him. “SINCE WHEN CAN YOU FLIRT THIS GOOD?” He smirked to himself, “I’ve been practicing.”

Sasaki Kojiro

It isn't difficult to get close to Sasaki, he is always friendly, however what is difficult is to keep a friendship for how much he focus on his training or how lazy he can be, but that doesn't mean is imposible

Sasaki is always so friendly and when you two get to be more close friends he always has time for you and always wants to share things with you, trying to Integrate in whatever he is doing, even if is his training and always making you laugh

Sasaki is always so focused on his training and so on, so love isn't really a common topic for him, he may want to find a special someone but that isn't his main so doesn't talk about that if it isn't you or someone else who bring to topic. That is the reason why, if you don't tell him directly that you are aroace it will go unnoticed for a long time

At some point Sasaki will thing on how you never talk to him about your romantic life or if you are interested on someone, you may had point out someone attractive before but never goes far from that, he isn't complaining though he just thinks that is something common for friends to talk about such things, right? And just as one day the thought of it bump into his head he just goes and directly ask you about it, without hesitation ask you why you never told him about your romantic life or romantic interests, aren't you friends?

Is your choise to tell him right away about it or just say that you just aren't interested on anyone at the moment, he won't be so conviced with a excuse like that and make it clear but he let you be, if you aren't comfortable with talking about it right now then he should not pry, but reasure you that you can trust on him

When you finally explain to him that you are asexual and aromantic he will ask you more about it to be able to understand better and yet it doesn't take him much time to fully get it and even understand that this is the reason you never showed interest on such things

Sasaki is supportive over you, he doesn't see anything bad on you don't being interested on having a relationship in anyone or even having to know better a person to develop feelings. Also, Sasaki doesn't want to pry or make you feel like he is invading your privacy but he is really interested on the topic, he loves learning and since this is something important to his dear friend is obvious for him to be more curious about it, so he will be asking you more about the topic (but will apologize if you feel uncomfortable)

After that day Sasaki doesn't really bring the topic again, it isn't something important for non of you so there is no reason to thing further on that, also this doesn't change anything between the two of you, Sasaki continue being the friendly guy he has always been with you

Sasaki can be pretty touchy either for being affectionate or for being playful but those are always platonic touches, he never tries to do it with other intention and yet he is quickly to notice if he is making you uncomfortable and immediatly removed his hands of you

If someone ever show interest on you, either romantically or sexually, he kinda laughs at the situation, he finds it hilarious and pity a little that person and when you two are in more privacy he will ask you what you thing about that person (he is just being teasing and playful, but will apologize if you actually get mad or uncomfortable). However he won't let that person cross your limits and try to force their feelings on you, even if you weren't aroace he will stand up for you if someone start being forceful with you

Raiden Tameemon

Since Raiden is a really famous zumo wrestler it won't be difficult to find him or get to know him, however getting to be a friends of him it take a little more time but when you two become close friends you become really important to him, just like if you were his family

He is a pretty clingy and energetic friend, he spends a lot of time just having fun with you and even showing off his strenght, is just that having a close friend bring him so much joy that he doesn't want it to stop

Love is a topic he brings from time to time just because he likes to pry in those topics and because he likes annoying you with it, he likes to tease you either with someone that is atractive or shows an interest on you or by saying that with your attitude you will end all alone. By his own he won't really be able to find out that you are aroace, he my just brush it off as you being very bitter or just haven't found someone for you

Raiden normally just treat the topic with humor but after a while he will be kinda worried about you and may even try to play matchmaker (but not a good one) and try to introduce you to some people he thinks you will be interested on

When you finally open up to him about being aroace Raiden will have troubles to understand what is what you are telling him, he may ask you a lot about it and even ask if you are sure, he isn't trying to be disrespectful is just that he can't comprehend how someone doesn't feel romantic or sexual atraction to others. Even when Raiden doesn't fully get that something like this is posible he is supportive over you, is just the way you are and also is your life and you are the only one who have the right to determinate how you should live it

Even when he is supportive over you it take him a while to get used to it, so from time to time he still make comments about you possibly being a cute couple with someone or asking you about your romantic interest (he apologize between laughs for it)

However, once he finally gets used to knowing that you are aroace his comments start to being for a whole different motivation, he goes from forgeting you don't feel sexual or romantic atraction to completely joking or teasing you, he start to make a lot of jokes about it, he goes from telling you to make sure to don't fall for him when you make him company while he trains or just when he is showing off his strenght, to promising that when you become a lonely and bitter bachelor he will still be by your side

The fact that you don't feel sexual or romantic atraction doesn't change the way he sees you, you are still you, and you are his friend so he doesn't see anything bad about it (however he will try to don't talk much about his own experiences with women because he doesn't want to make you uncomfortable or anything, whenever he talks about such topics is to joke)

Sometimes, when Raiden feels specially serious or emotional he reasure you that even if you never find a special someone you will be always his friend, his family, and he will be happy to spend his life annoying you with you

If you ever feel atraction to someone he will be dumbfounded and look at you shocked, he wants an explanation, again it would take him a moment to understand the situation but he will be supportive (as always) but you won't be free from him joking about you being a liar or betrayed him. And in the case is someone else who feels atracted to you he kinda laughs at them (not exactly in their face) and will tell you almost right away for how funny he finds the situation

So i said my piece abt everything to the mods and long story short i dont support the morning brew zine anymore and ive said theyre welcome to remove my contribution. I left after saying what i did so idk what the moderators' responses were but it seems to me theyre asking contributors if they want to remove their pieces so hopefully my & other ppl's wishes are respected

This news didnt quite reach tumblr but basically a writer featured in the zine, mooncake_madness, has written multiple espresso/madeleine fics involving sexual abuse between them. Im still not really sure who was in the dark vs who was afraid of speaking out about it but i want to make it very clear that its not the fault of the contributors that this was allowed; their s/a works on ao3 are either set to user-only or whatever equivalent of that exists on the site so this was already obscured from people like me who dont have ao3 accounts, but at minimum 2 of the mods knew about it or were personal fans of this writer's work and they made a deliberate choice not to mention it to any of us.

Like imo there was a purposeful cover-up to allow this writer on the zine, and really which contributor knew what makes no difference because the moderators should have made sure EVERYONE knew. There shouldnt have ever been an attempt to hide or even feign cluelessness on the part of the moderators ("their works are publicly viewable so you had to have known" THEYRE NOT EVEN PUBLIC) like all i wouldve wanted is to not be strung along to contribute to a zine for a pairing i love alongside someone who wants to write like 4 fucking fics about espresso being raped, and the fact of the matter is i (and everyone else) was led into doing so because of simple negligence.

Like i think the ONE warning they gave abt mooncake's ao3 was "beware of nsfw content" on the public twitter which is really funny because they made no comment like that to us contributors, and also "nsfw" is a hilarious way to avoid saying "CONTENT WARNING FOR RAPE." I wonder why they Did Not Say That. And 1 of the moderators is a confirmed previous fan of mooncake's stuff so its super fucking cool that they prioritised including their favourite s/a author over the personal boundaries of the artists and writers making their zine happen. For free.

So yeah. there were a lot of cool ppl on this zine. its upsetting that all of our work got overshadowed by the inclusion of one fucking guy the mods thought would slide under the radar. I dont even think it was an hour before people started talking about it. the zine is apparently on hiatus rn (Hopefully to give time for contributors to decide whether they want to follow through w the project) so there isnt any way to view it anymore. but i think in the coming days there will probably be people posting their pieces independently of the zine and where i can ill share their work, because everyone put a lot of heart into their pieces over the course of 3 whole months and i dont want that passion and dedication to be ruined by shitty moderation. The pieces in this zine were all motivated by everyones individual love for espressleine and i think it shows. and equally if theres anyone who decides not to pull out of the zine (bc there are valid reasons for that) please give them a chance too

#I dont think we need to worry abt this on tumblr but equally dont harass anybody involved #i still dont know who was unaware who was afraid to speak up and who was actually complicit #and the latter was an extreme minority so ive chosen not to name names in case i accidentally drag innocent parties into this

Snowflakes: A Renga Fic

A small story I thought up this morning :)

Content: Fluff, slight angst? (just Reki and his conflicted feelings)

Fandom: Sk8 The Infinity

Pairing: Reki x Langa, a bit of MatchaBlossom too

Warnings: Swearing

But he was pretty sure it was when Langa duct taped his feet to an old broken board and skated like the wind was disappearing and he was trying to catch up with it. When he made it snow on a warm night.

Langa is his best friend. One of his only friends. He couldn’t give that up. So what was he to do? Hide his feelings and suffer in silence? Or confess and risk losing the one person he loves the most?

He decided to ask Joe for help. Joe has experience in the love department, right? So one night at S, while Langa was chatting with Miya and Shadow, he asked, trying to be covert about it.

“Hey, Joe,” He asked, quietly. “Have you ever fallen in love with someone…close to you? Like your best friend? Or something like that?”

Joe gave him a long look, and a small, smug smirk. Joe knew exactly what was going on, but played dumb. “Well, yeah. I guess.”

“How’d you…deal with that? Did you confess?”

“Nope.”

“What? But why? What would happen if you did?”

“I didn’t need to confess. We just kind of…fell together. Helped that we’ve been friends since we were teenagers.” He smiled fondly, remembering his teen years with Cherry.

“Teenagers…?” He thought for a moment. Who the hell was Joe’s friend back then? “Wait, are you talking about CHERRY?”

“Who else would I be talking about? Just don’t tell him I told you, he’s under the impression everyone’s clueless about our relationship.”

“Everyone IS clueless!”

“Not anymore, thanks to you,” Kaoru said, from behind them. “You dumbass gorilla, I told you not to tell anyone!”

“I didn’t! He figured it out, four-eyes!”

“Oh shut up, asshole! You made it obvious!”

“He was bound to find out eventually! Besides, he needs help bagging Langa. The kid’s hopeless.”

A huge blush spread across Reki’s face. If you looked closely, you could even see steam coming out of his ears.

“Wha- I never said anything about Langa! Or me! This isn’t about me! I was just curious! That’s all!” He exclaimed, waving his hands around wildly and then covering his beet-red face.

“It's pretty obvious you’re in love with him, Reki.” Cherry sighed. The kid really was hopeless.

“N-no, I’m not!”

“Your face tells a different story.”

“Shut up!”

Hearing all the commotion, Langa walked over to where the three skaters were standing.

“Is everything okay?” He asked, a concerned look on his face. “I heard yelling.”

“E-everything’s great! We were just talking! About, uh, cars!” Reki said, smiling awkwardly and scratching the back of his neck. “Just cars!”

“Cars?” Joe said, raising an eyebrow and half-smiling. This was fucking hilarious.

“Yes, cars, Joe!”

“Oh, okay. Cool. I’m gonna go back to talking with Miya now. I want to race with him.” Langa said, giving them a look before turning back around and walking back to where Miya and Shadow were standing.

“Have funnnnn!” Reki yelled after him. Once the blue-haired boy was out of sight, he turned on Joe. “Idiot! You could have given me away!”

“I thought you weren’t in love with him?” Cherry asked cooly.

“I-I’m not!”

“Keep telling yourself that, kid.” Joe laughed.

“I’m not in love with him!”

“Yeah, yeah, we believe you.” Joe said, wiping a small tear from his eye. Cherry couldn’t help but laugh as well. Not very loudly, but a laugh all the same.

Reki sighed, looking over at Langa and watching him talk to Miya. A cool breeze swept across the concrete, blowing Langa’s hair around in a blue flurry. He wondered how soft his hair was. It looked like he took good care of it. When he thought about it, Langa looked like a snowflake. Sort of fitting.

Joe and Cherry looked at each other, both amused by Reki’s behavior. He was still red in the face. Slinging an arm around Cherry, Joe spoke up again.

“Well, Langa’s about as oblivious as they get, so if you want anything with him, you’re going to have to tell him how you feel.”

Reki sighed. “Yeah, I know. I just…don’t want to ruin anything.”

“I sincerely doubt that you’ll ruin it. Langa feels the same way for you. It’s blatantly obvious.” Cherry said, shoving Joe’s arm off. “And what did I tell you about PDA, you ape?”

“Oh, shut up! I do this with everyone!”

“You know I don’t like to be touched!”

“Do I look like I give a shit?”

“Don’t you make me get Carla, asshole.”

“Oh, I’m soooo scared!”

As Joe and Cherry continued arguing in the background, Reki looked up at the night sky, taking in the stars.

“Will I ever be able to tell him how I feel?”

alright, time for me to say a couple of thoughts i had with the ffm monkeys.

- i like to believe that langur and horse had any type of clothes with them, and once wukong tried a small dress on him.

He liked it, but he remembered Ba saying stuff about love and how she wants to impress Beng.

so he went down all the way to Ba to give her the dress, so she could look more pretty and impress Beng!

Wukong and Ba worked in secret so Ba could go to Beng with eyeliner and a dress to go in a little playdate.

- wukong never spoke Chinese nor did he ever saw the reason to when he learned it, simply because everyone spoke monkey language, so using Chinese was kind of useless.

but he always listened to when people start talking Chinese, and finally he understood!

He never told anyone that he knew Chinese so he could play the clueless kid and get to know everything.

But that finally blew up and people understood he knew Chinese when he started rambling angrily in that language so most monkeys wouldn't understand he was upset.

- wukong probably looked like the most charismatic, cheerful and positive person, but when he wakes up he's like that one grumpy cat.

I do imagine him not being a morning person and he absolutely hates waking up.

So whenever the monkeys napped together wukong not only was always the last one to wake up but he always stayed away from people for a couple minutes because he had to charge his social battery each time.

- i did say once that wukong had some difficulty in both talking and moving because he was born as a child so he didn't learned how to speak or walk before. Because he was born as a literal 7 year old.

So even though he was the most social, talkative and energetic of the group, there were times where he had to ask for help to get a word or two. Or he would fall, many, many times. Got over it overtime, but he was and still is a clumsy guy.

- literally Ma and Macaque had to explain to wukong how Ba and Beng liked each other romantically, my man thought they were best friends with privilege.

- wukong sometimes can't get people tones, so I can imagine once or twice him misunderstanding sarcasm and seriousness. He cried once because he couldn't get the joke and he felt stupid after.

- somehow he always gets when a demon is dangerous, he will literally keep his smiley face and keep talking normally but he would push back slowly his friends so he's on the front, so if someone has to get hurt, it's him.

- i imagine him being very, very fluffy. Not like macaque who gets fluffy when it's winter, no wukong is like those cats who are more fluffy than anything.

and the best part is that everyone always thought that wukong was somewhat chubby or even straight up fat, but whenever you hugged him you could tell he was skinny or even jacked at one point.

He always tricks people with this and he finds it hilarious.

- whenever him and the generals had a meeting where they had to decide something, wukong was always sitting somewhere playing with his fingers. Nobody expect him to listen and no one ever bothered him to make him listen.

- wukong literally does not understand neither sex or romance but by god he always makes sex jokes and where he gets them it's incredible and unknown.

- since wukong is older than all of his generals, i imagine them kind of growing up looking at this weird monkey who somehow is friend with literally anyone. (Besides macaque, he came in later)

- i just realized that in all of this wukong is literally the only one in the group who knows how to read and write. And he is the one called illiterate.

- Beng and wukong have a bro code and macaque is part of Ba and Ma girl code.

- wukong gives the :3 face when he gets complimented, especially if it's from one of his generals.

Ma: >:D

Macaque: <:]??

- i can only imagine the faces of the generals when wukong swore once.

They were like 10 years old, and wukong comes up with "what the fuck is that", and everyone shocked because that's a no-no word. but wukong dosen't know that because he grew up with horse.

- even better when wukong swore for the first time in Chinese.

- the generals knew that wukong always wore make-up, but the only one who didn't was macaque. he kind of met wukong with long eyelashes so he thought he was born with that.

Turns out he wasn't born with that and macaque had nightmares for a week.

- Beng and Wukong just hug each other a lot they are bros.

- wukong is also the guy who always prepares the best playdates and does a high five to Beng each time during the playdate when Ba isn't looking.

- when someone talks about both monkey and demon culture, wukong is always, always, silent. Because he doesn't know anything about it.

He's more familiar with humans.

- macaque is terrified of animals and then there's wukong who is hugging a bear.

- wukong treated all of his generals as siblings. Never like friends, no, like siblings. Just like he treats the baby monkeys as his kids and does call them his kids, he treats his generals like siblings.

It dosen't matter if they do the same or not, he'll always treat them like siblings.

- i like to think that wukong dosen't regret killing macaque, he surely regrets making possible for that fight to happen and to lead macaque to death, but he doesn't regret killing him because in his eyes it was fair.

he tried to hurt his master and brothers. He never wanted to, nor he wished for Macaque to die, but for wukong it was a sacrifice he had to make, accepted it and didn't regret it.

he moved on and just wishes macaque could do the same instead of hurting his successor.

- wukong groomed his friends without thinking really, he was always on top of his friends and groomed them like a daily routine.

just like when you hold hands with your partner or do something that it's an habit now.

His habit is to groom his friends, and now he does it to MK.

- macaque would always hate sounds in generals because of his ears, but he had to deal with Beng being loud and wukong, that even if he spoke more quietly, always hummed or made sounds.

At one point macaque just started to tolerate the sounds to the point he liked them and became proud of his six ears.

- wukong normally hugs people when he naps with them, but whenever he wakes up he suddenly rolls away because the grumpiness he gets when he wakes up made him hate both social interactions and physical contact.

Once he woke up with macaque hugging him and he looked at Mac said "do i look like a pillow to you" without his usual high pitched tone, and you know macaque just ran away because who tf is that that is NOT monkey king.

We are all sharing our little thoughts so i might as well do it with my favorite monkey and his generals

Wukong practiced his makeup on Ba and it always worked in the gibbon's favor

Wukong is absolutely not a morning person, and would rather nap the entire afternoon than wake up

The funny thing is that he called himself and Macaque "friends with privilege" too because he didn't understand what that meant

Horse introduced him to swearing and when the others found out they demanded that the immortal taught them too

Beng and Wukong are the most physical ones of the group, followed by Ma but she's calmer and collected with it

Wukong one time gave Macaque a frog as a gift and he was terrified it was going to poison him

stream of thoughts i guess

i’m starting to like the opening song xD

we start with a cute convo between two best friends. i’m salty we won’t see prapaisky story until later but we getting the crumbs. so i guess i’ll wait

‘Phi is still waiting, rain’ awwww P’payu is so adorable. we all know he already fallen head first. but let’s pretend we don’t know

omg rain stressing about when he gonna make P fall in love with him makes me laugh

sky is my fav character as of now. he is hilarious and i want him to be my bff.

the surprise of ‘him’ only being ‘you got over ple?’ is very much appreciated.

oh sky ‘step 1: show before him every day’ why do i feel like you gonna fall victim to the same strategy

rain ‘step 2: be polite’ lol you know P likes you soft spoken. take advantage of it.

rain missing P every tie for like 4 days is hilarious

sky knows that seeing someone every day is a hassle so he knwo it works.

side note does rain not realize he could ask P to tutor him in anything and thus get to spend time with him daily and act cute and get his homework done and get help form th genou of the faculty??? okay

omg P literally telling rain there are easier ways to see him than going to the garage everyday xD

and then the advice of ‘try calling him? and speak softly and politely?’ is on point and hilarious

rain reverting to his basic setting and talking down but more politely is so fun. as is P not responding. even though rain is using the honorifics he still has attitude. and then we get the cute and adorable and hilarious ‘i’m here. can we meet … please’. that killed me. P responding super quickly jsut made it better.

rain feeling sense of accomplishment is great. and cute. and i cnat wait to see the whole linguistic dynamic develop. like it will be super fun if rain stays soft spinel and polite only towards P. the rest are gonna get this dusty brat in their faces. but with P he’s gonna be an angel. well most of the time anyway lol

rain waiting patiently for P. and getting info taht he’s not the only one who waited. must’ve hurt. even though rain is still convinced he dead not like P.

‘you’re gonna get burn if you don’t know how to play with fire’ is a great advice to someone as clueless as rain.

the instant defensive brah language only to be stoped by one reminder and giving in with apology

and then just going to leave. rain you are something else. jealousy at its finest.

i must say i love the acting. so many micro expressions. on both actors. make me fall in love with the characters even more

taking his hand and just dragging him with you wa sa right choice P. you can see taht little simile in rains face as they walk out the door. it’s so precious. and soft. and just UGH they don’t stop holding hands

rain wanting to order and p shutting him down for snooping for info. and then immediately doing the same thing is hilarious. and rain just giving the info makes it even funnier

omg P saying he doesn’t see how rain can make him fall in love when he’s already deep in it is just great.

lol P is a master at getting rain to do what he wants already. i can’t imagine how it’s gonna be when they are together lol i’m guessing rain will learn how to get P to do what he wants as well as time goes.

rain going from ‘lower your voice people will hear you’ to ‘im hitting on this guy’ is the greatest flip ever. and done in like 10 secs and just one suggestion. as i said P know s how to get rain from point A to pony B with minimal effort. and rain just follows so well

P is finding rain adorable. and i’m not surprised at all. just look at his smile. so indulgent already. and the teasing. i could die happily if i got teased like taht by some like P

P wanted rain to give him food. rain shut him down. what does P do? hand feeds rain. that’s the natural progression of events. i’m in no way shape or form complaining

‘affectionate laughter and moving laughter are two different things’ they can sound similar if you’re not familiar with someone but P has a very good point. and rain is not listening at all. P just confessed to being affectionate with him. but what he does?? steam rolls right past that

stetting the boundaries. call me when you want to meet and i’ll text you when i’m at the garage. i love how much P cares about rain education. he knows how much work he has, he’s been through this already. and he as much as he wants to have fun with rain and tease him, he does not want rain to suffer. not academically. from what i gathered it’s gonna be finals for rain in the next month or at the end of this one. so he’s super busy. P has a job at the architect company (i think) and at the garage. so he’s also super busy. but they will still make time for one another and that says a lot. like if rain didn’t like P at all he wouldn’t go to such lengths to ‘get back at him’

omg P saying ‘switch stupid with cute’ is like it’s what i ghad in mind this whole time. i knwo you don’t like to be called stupid. but i didn’t want to give in to you too much and call you cute. but now whenever rain will hear P calling him stupid he’ll immediately think about how stupid is supposed to be replaced with cute. and i LOVE THAT.

also rains reaction is precious ‘that’s cheating P’ yep just sit there for 30secs and calm your heart. it’s probably trying to jump out of your chest. i know mine would. that SMILE WAS SO ADORABLE

omg rain sleeping in frost row is giving me anxiety. him checking his phone just elevates it. getting lower is not hiding your phone rain. it’s still extremely visible.

okay so rain still swears at everything and everyone.

look how happy he is now that he knows he’ll see his P later that day. just adorable.

not P taking a break to read and respond to rain texts. they are so gone for each other.

rain being a little shit is my fav thing. and P threatening his employees to leave the snacks at the office is hilarious

rain just booking it out of the class and ignoring his homework l, best friend and crush (or is it ex crush already??) to get to the garage and leave snack is fantastic

i love how P is so invested in rains education. and compliments his work as he sees he’s talented. and coming from P, who we know is talented is a big deal.

love the staring and rain getting shy. as well as him actually preparing separate snacks for P.

i’m sorry what was that?? the slow lean in. ‘pack your stuff and join me quickly, understood?’ ‘yes’ and a HEAD PAT ?? all in like 30 secs?? i’m living for this. and the LOOK INTO EACH OTHER’s EYES?? while smiling??? and being cute??? makes me feel super single

rain jsut not caring he has a tight deadline.

the employees gossiping is great. eating sth hot and spicy and getting a happy ending would be great.

he’s gonna forget the project tomorrow morning isn’t he?

omg this child is me. having 6 alarms and not waking up to a single of them. or accidentally setting them for pm instead of am. that also happened multiple times. but i live alone. so i’m screwed if that happens.

poor baby. getting scolded for giving the work after deadline is the worst. it’s his fault and you can see rain acknowledge it. he’s not giving any excuses and just asks for it to be accepted since it’s not much after the deadline which was an early morning. when met with a refusal he apologizes and doesn’t push. he knows he’s in the wrong. it hurts since he’s confident with his design. but also i feel like thai was important for him to experience. P was telling him multiple times taht things get harder in later years. and that he wants him to manage his time properly. rain fucked up this time. he will have to make sure it won’t happen again. his friends can see he’s affected by what happened. but you can see very clearly how he’s rejecting ple and her touch as well as invite to share things with her. things that he would deal as failures. he doesn’t want that with her. she’s just a crush. someone who he want to see him as a great person. so he’s not comfortable with getting comfort from her. but then he goes to P. seemingly without even realizing. he’s been standing in the rain for some time. and probably crying. when saigah goes out to get him inside he’s first words are ‘is P here?’ immediately followed by ‘nevermind’. and you can see him kind of light up when he asks for his P. and then his face falls again as he realizes that nope P is not here and he doesn’t know why he even bothered to come here. it’s not like they are close or anything. but he still came. and as soon as P knows rain was waiting for him in the rain he goes to him. also we can see rain is perfectly at home in Ps room. not shy at all. just comfortable and safe. sad and disappointed in himself. he lets himself just sit there and breathe while waiting for his P to arrive and help him through this. and P does. he immediately sees that something is wrong. and he knew it already since he knows rain enough to realize he wouldn’t just come and stand in the rain without even knowing if anyone is inside of the garage if it wasn’t something important and bad. and then he does the best thing he could do. that is doesn’t say anything and just opens his arms and gathers rain in them. gives him a very tight hug. and tells him ‘it’s okay. P is here now. you can let go. P is here to hold you up.’ he looks him over and then just holds him. tells him he’s there to talk and to care and that he will help him fix this. because he gets it. he understands and he cares and he wants to help. he doesn’t like seeing rain like this.

i feel like rain is not in tune with his emotions or just doesn’t understand why he feels so comfortable with P. he doesn’t know why he could put up a front in front of his bff and his ‘crush’ but he folded like paper in Ps arms. but even he doesn’t understand why he’s still grateful for the comfort he got.

P is right. he tells him straight and without coddling that the teacher is right. and rain acknowledges it straight away. he knows it’s his fault. then P gives some good life advice. it’s gonna be like this from now on. the pressure will not diminish rather it will grow. you have to lear to take responsibility for your actions. that doesn’t mean it’s not gonna hurt to miss deadline or to get criticized.

the way P came back and just pushed rain into his stomach to tell him ‘what’s done is done. don’t dwell on it. focus on the next project.’ gave me butterflies. and him telling rain to dry his hair properly was so good. ‘don’t get sick. i don’t want to take care of you.’ yeah right. P your gone gone for rain. you would take care of him even if he wasn’t sick. and we just got the confirmation of that.

what is it with bls and lending your phone to people ?? i would never. lol

also P being into rain from the start. even before the car fix in the rain was great. kinda obvious but i still liked taht. cause rain was very much into P from the car fix in the rain. he just is a bit oblivious lol

i think it's AMAZING of noah to talk about will’s sexuality and “confirm” it by actually saying that will is gay. it’s really important shit and i’m very happy he did that.

BUT, i still don’t think it should be up to the actors to make that clear to the audience. it should not be their responsibility, to explain something like that when it should already be established in the show. i would have loved for noah to talk about it more in depth in an interview similarly to this one, but i think it would’ve been nice for him to have the canon behind him, like backing him up a bit more. that the show could have done a better job of paving the ground before him so that he was able to speak even more freely about it. and not get as much potential backlash as a response because “he’s the first one to bring it up”. he’s the one who has to break the ice on an unfortunately controversial topic, specifically to the straight audience, which is quite large percentage wise since it's a mainstream show. an audience who might think this is completely out of the blue because they’ve been able to ignore the subtext in the show so far. i already felt this way after that interview where they talked about will liking “someone else in the group”, specifically about him NOT being in love with el, when finn said that it would be weird cause they’re kinda like siblings. it just made me feel bad that the actors, but especially finn and noah, are kind of like buffers to the duffers (lol). like they have to take more shit from homophobic and ignorant audiences because the duffers didn’t dare to take that step themselves in the actual show. it weirdly feels like they haven’t considered the repercussions that would have for their own actors.

of course people are always gonna ship what they want or see what they want, but the canon, the reality of the show itself should be able to get these things across to the audience on its own, even the type of viewers who aren’t as willing to see queer characters. because even after noah’s interview i see people asking when the show EVER alluded to will being gay and/or in love with mike. EVEN AFTER noah has been super transparent about it. i think the creators could make it a lot easier on the actors by not forcing them to handle these topics on their own. because even with actors confirming things in interviews, people are still going to turn to the canon (that obviously wasn’t clear enough) to say that that’s not the case. that will’s sexuality is forced and was never planned or relevant, IN THE SHOW. like goddamn it, people STILL are CONVINCED that will is in love with el. because that’s the message they felt THE SHOW was trying to get across. and that’s not a good thing, this shouldn’t be something that people can speculate about. it’s canon that will byers is in love with mike wheeler, even though the canon has obviously been a bit too subtle about it. to me, this just further highlights the small things vol 2 could have done to make sure there were no unnecessary misconceptions about where the story is going or about will’s sexuality.

like, even i literally forgot that mike knows (or should know) that el didn’t commission will’s painting for example. which is hilarious, i’m a clueless queer. but I think the bigger issue is, i obviously wasn’t the only one???!!! like it would’ve been super easy to do a very short scene to make sure people at least have all of the clues in front of them at the same time, so they can put it together themselves. it’s a bit fucking problematic if a large portion of the audience miss something THAT important to the plot, and you can’t blame that on the audience, the creators HAVE to make it abundantly clear that even the people who don’t pay that much attention, still can follow the main storyline properly. they can’t always rely on subtext, at some point they have to make it explicit. and i think the end of s4 was the right time to do that. like it would have been so so simple yet purposeful and exciting to both EXPLICITLY confirm will’s sexuality and the fact that mike knows about his feelings with a short scene in the end, perhaps in the stupid 2 days later skip. just to make it CLEAR to EVERYONE, both dumb gays like me, and the general audience.

if for example we say that mike in the van scene also didn’t remember what el said in her letter, he could have went up to el in Hopper’s cabin and been like “yo, will showed me his painting-”, and el interrupts him excited like “ooh what was it of??”, and mike’s like “..you.. you haven’t seen it?” and el, clueless, like “nooo, remember i told you i thought he was making it for someone he likes, he refused to show me :((”. mike, looking over at will, who’s raking some leaves or something in the corner (idk lmao). the camera slowly zooms in on mike’s face, his expression changes.. a look of realisation, “OH”. THE END. like mike and will literally didn’t even have to talk. but then they could ACTUALLY address it in season 5. but just for the people that didn’t get it, that forgot what el said in literally the beginning of the first episode of the season. and without will having to say that he’s gay out loud yet, but explicit enough so that there’s no denying it. like.. fuck dude, i just wanted it explicit enough so that there’s no denying it..
