Due to the lack of femslash february prompts lists I liked, I promised to myself I’d make my own, so here I am!

I left out the X-Antibody Digimon, as I had problems with ‘em but otherwise I tried my best. That said, I used green as “on good terms” and yellow as “on bad terms”.

I hope to draw some ships as well this February, but.. we will see!!

When Miyako was younger, she constantly daydreamed about falling in love. If her beloved television dramas taught her anything, it was that one day her soulmate was going to look her in the eyes, passionately grab her face, and kiss her with the force of a thousand suns. The heat, the longing gaze, the feeling of being completely and utterly enveloped in trusted hands – it was everything she could ever want.

She had pictured the scene so many times before, and now that it was actually happening, the irony of it all was not lost on her. Delicate fingers replaced burly ones. A floral fragrance surrounded her instead of musk. She was grimacing instead of smiling.

And she was fighting to stay alive.

Miyako struggled to focus on the honey-colored eyes in front of her. A thumb gently stroked her cheek to wipe away a stray tear and she had to keep herself from unraveling right then and there. She wasn’t used to being vulnerable, and she especially wasn’t used to being regarded so intimately.

“You are the strongest person I know, Miyako. Come on, get up, you can do this!”

Mimi’s grip on her was steady and firm, and despite the pressing situation they were in, Miyako couldn’t help but think this is the moment. This is what I’ve been waiting for.

Briefly emboldened, Miyako leaned forward and pressed her lips onto a stunned Mimi.

“You’re right, let’s get out of here.”

Sora only just heard her name being called before she was run into by someone, all she could see was a hint of pink hair and knew who it was automatically.

“Hey Mimi.” Sora helped balance Mimi and caught a look at the box in Mimi’s hands. “What’s this?”

“I made us lunch.” Mimi grinned widely, she slid the top off the box and held it up for Sora to inspect. “It’s a thank you for all the ones you’ve made us.”

“Oh Mimi that’s sweet and I…” She squinted at the contents, trying to figure out exactly what it was. “Thank you.” She finished, scratching her cheek awkwardly.

Mimi caught her uncertainty and her mouth twisted down into a sulk, she let out a frustrated noise that drew people’s attention towards them but everyone looked away when they saw it was Mimi making it. “I thought I was better at this.” Mimi sighed, “I have been trying.”

Sora offered her a smile, “Why don’t you come over tonight and we can cook together, I can give you some pointers.”

Immediately Mimi brightened up with the smile that Sora appreciated far more than Mimi’s pout no matter how cute it was. “But what’ll we do for lunch now?” Mimi tilted her head and on cue her stomach growled.

“Don’t worry, I made enough for both of us.” Sora flushed lightly, “I thought we’d be eating together anyway.”

She caught the glint of amusement in Mimi’s eyes. “Like we’re dating?”

Sora coughed, “I didn’t mean it like that.”

“I did.” Mimi stated, cutting through the weird tension with her usual blunt honestly. “And now that I’ve said it I think we should go on a proper date.”

Only years of knowing Mimi made Sora catch the smallest hint of uncertainty from her but she smiled at Mimi, “You know I’m free tonight. We could do something before we cook dinner.”

Mimi threw her arms around Sora, dropping the box of food onto the ground and pressing her cheek to Sora’s. Everyone was looking at them in confusion again but Sora waved them off and slid her arm around Mimi’s wait to pull her in for a better hug.

She was certain everyone in the school would know they’d be going on a date by the end of the day, she wasn’t certain that anyone would be surprised though. She wasn’t herself.
