McCree was stiff as a board next to you.
From the occasional glances you stole, you saw his face was set in a deep frown, eyebrows drawn tight together, and his arms were crossed, his right foot tapping insistently on the ground.
You tried to focus on the movie playing in front of you, but he was being more than a little distracting. But Genji, who sat on your other side, didn’t even seem to notice.
Suddenly, the movie flashed a cheesy jumpscare which made both you and the cowboy flinch back, and made Genji yelp and hold you tightly. The two of you laughed, but McCree remained unamused.
You patted his head affectionately. “ Genji, if you’re too scared to watch this then why’d you recommend it? “ You teased, making no move to remove his arms from where they were wrapped firmly around you.
“Well I was hoping you’d be the one to cuddle up to me in fear but it seems it’s the other way around, “ You rolled your eyes in exasperation, but it was all in good fun- you were quite used to Genji’s flirtatious remarks. “Still, I can get used to this,”
“ No, please, keep talking, I’m only trying to watch a movie here,” McCree suddenly grumbled out, his narrowed eyes still fixated on the screen. His body slouched impossibly lower into the couch, while you and Genji glanced at each other, noticing how awkward the room suddenly felt.
Reluctantly, Genji released his arms from you and shuffled as close to the corner of the couch that he could, huffing out a sigh. You stifled a sigh of your own- McCree was making your weekly movie night no fun.
The three of you continued to watch in an uncomfortable silence until there was another jumpscare, and you couldn’t help but reach for Genji’s arm in your short-lived fear. When it was over, the two of you chuckled at how you unconsciously reached for the cyborg, but it seemed that McCree had reached his breaking point with the two of you.
“This movie blows, I’m outta here, “ You face fell, and you silently watched as Jesse pushed himself off the couch and stomped out the door without another word.
You shared one more glance with Genji before politely excusing yourself, trying to catch the cowboy before he could hide himself away in his room.
You caught him in the hallway, his eyes burning as well as his face, arms crossed defensively over his chest. You could hardly recognize the cool yet charming cowboy you’ve learned to know and love.
“McCree, just what is with you tonight? I thought you’d like watching a movie with me and Genji, but your taking all the fun out of it.”
However, that accusation only seemed to set him off more, and his face went a shade darker.
“Well excuse me if I didn’t really feel like being a third-wheel tonight.”
“ Third-wheel?” You repeated astoundingly, “Jesse, we’re all friends, how are you a third-wheel?…Wait, you’re not…jealous, are you?”
“No!” Jesse exclaimed all to quickly, then cleared his throat and tried again in a softer yet stern tone,” No, I’m not jealous, but come on, movie night is just for me and you only.”
You raised an eyebrow in disbelief.
“You’re so cute when you lie, Jesse, “ You huffed, smirking, “Still, if you really feel that way, why didn’t you say so in the first place? “
McCree scratched at the back of his head, a nervous tick you’ve picked up on, searching for an answer. “ Well, I s’pose I didn’t wanna hurt Genji’s feelings, seeing that we are good friends and all but, I really do mean that I just want movie night to just be…our thing. “
“ Well then, how about you come back and finish the movie with the two of us, and next week we can go out to the actual movies? “ You suggested, and, in a meeker voice, “ And maybe dinner too? “
McCree smiled nervously, pulling his hat off to fiddle with the rim. “ You mean that darling? “ With a nod of affirmation from you, he broke out into a full on grin. “ Alright, but just on one occasion- It has to be a Cowboy film, and dinner’s on me. “ He finished with a wink.
You flat-out snorted at that, you wouldn’t expect anything less from Jesse. “ I think I can work with that, “ You reached up to kiss him affectionately on the cheek, before taking his hand to lead him back to the movie room.

Jesse McCree may not seem like the type of guy to enjoy reading books, but it’s actually his favorite past time, right next to smoking. Loves reading books with you, or at least being able to talk about what happened this chapter or suggest books for you to read next. Enjoys the occasional video game, but mostly just likes watching you play since he doesn’t really know how.
Doesn’t mind your not-exactly-anti-social behavior, in fact he prides himself over being the only one you open up to. He tends to get a bit jealous,but knows he’s got nothing to worry about. Is also very understanding of your depression and stress, as he himself gets very depressed and stressed. When you do hit a rut, he basically gives you a spa day- bubble bath, movie, foot rub, tea- you name it and he’ll do it, he just wants to see you smile again.
Jesse wouldn’t mind travelling, but the fact he’s technically an outlaw worries him. To play it safe, he’d ask you to wait until he can clear his name, do some right in the world first, and maybe he’ll retire from overwatch to travel the seas with you.

Alright ^^ Ima 5’6 straight girl, I looove anything of the arts like dancing, singing, painting etc. Im always listening to music (always.. nonstop) I do contemporary dance (an emotional ballet I guess lol) and ballet Im a quite introverted but not exactly shy, I can be very talkative and bubbly/playful and always the ‘mom friend’ I also have a fascination with anything star related like astrology and astronomy, Im usually very calm and quiet and like being alone but very affectionate, Thanks!

Though he’d never admit to it, Hanzo is a lover of the arts as well. ( Kabuki!Hanzo anyone? ). He especially loves to watch you dance- you’re incredibly beautiful and portray the desired emotion in the choreography so perfectly.
Hanzo is, unsurprisingly, very closed off, especially to strangers, but talk at him enough and he’ll finally crack. And though he’s not very responsive when you talk to him, he still enjoys listening to you talk about your day. Mostly appreciates you being a fellow introvert, otherwise I don’t think he’d be able to keep up. Enjoys a quiet night in reading a book, and it’s on these nights he lets you be affectionate by cuddling up to him on the couch or in bed- Don’t let his stoic nature fool you, he’s very touch-starved and relishes in this. Occasionally he’ll treat you to an extravagant dinner in the city.
You two probably bonded from your fascination of stars. Hanzo likes climbing to the rooftops at night to be alone and stargaze. If he really wanted to, he could watch them all night, but finds it’s much more enjoyable with your company.

hey lovely, it's your girl again. Imagine/HC or whichever you prefer with the red string soulmate theory involving Hanzo, S76, and McCree.
For those who don’t know what red string of fate is: a red thread is connected to those who are bound to meet and destined to be soulmates regardless of time, place, and circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle but will never break. Usually it’s tied around the person’s pinky finger or wrist.
Hanzo:
Hanzo never attempted to find his soulmate; he never bothered to follow it since he thought he would be in some sort of arranged marriage.
Just thought it was a nuisance and ignored it for the majority of his life, gave up on the idea of finding his perfect soulmate in such a big world.
Fast forward years later and Hanzo attempted to cut it off after killing Genji and leaving the Shimada Clan. The red string is invincible.
He just didn’t want his soulmate to be disappointed in him and came to the belief that he would hurt them, just how he hurt and killed Genji.
However, you were searching for Hanzo for years, excited to meet your destined soulmate! The two of you met by accident in a busy street.
The red string will glow whenever the soulmates are close by. So, you attempted to find him while Hanzo avoided confrontation.
However, you catch up to him and manage to tap his shoulders; Hanzo turns around and sees one of the most beautiful people in his life.
Hanzo’s slightly scared and is in a rush to the Shimada Castle to honor his late brother. He apologizes and says he has somewhere to be.
However, you manage to convince him to exchange contact information before Hanzo heads off. Your heart is pounding.
Later that evening, Hanzo is confronted by Genji and he forgives him for leaving him to die. Hanzo decides to time to forgive himself as well.
When he heads home for the evening, Hanzo is about to call you but you beat him to calling him first and it’s hard to get the man to open up.
The two of you end up talking until two in the morning, getting to know each other before Hanzo ask if you’re interested in a date.
Soldier 76:
When he was a young teen, he was excited about the prospect of meeting his soulmate one day, especially when he joined the military.
He wanted a simple life with his soulmate and enjoy working on the farm but it changed whenever he joined the soldier enhancement program.
Fast forward years later and he’s now a commander in Overwatch and has to deal with the press and the media try to make him look bad.
So, Jack begin to think less and less about finding his soulmate and was more focus on dealing with Overwatch and their operations.
Then the explosion at the Swiss HQ happened and he sort of lost sight in having some sort of simple life, growing more and more cynical.
He gave up on his dreams of finding his soulmate and created the identity of Soldier 76, now wanting answers about why Overwatch collapsed.
When people asked about the red thread tied to his pinky finger he would brush it off (it’s suppose to disappear when one has found their soulmate).
Sometimes, he would have fantasies and wonder what his soulmate might have been like if he had met them under the right circumstances.
So, Jack is surprised when his red string starts to glow to indicate you were near, having completely forget about it being on his finger.
He follows his red string toward a local bar. Out of curiosity? Out of interest? Or maybe, perhaps out of a spark from hope.
When he opens the door to the bar, you were about to head out and look for your soulmate… and almost bump right into him.
Jack’s once thought dead dreams may actually be turning into reality; he offers to buy you one more drink for the evening.
McCree:
When Jesse was a young boy, he always dreamed of meeting his soulmate! He was excited to see the red string glow one day.
McCree would often daydream about what his soulmate would be like, what sort of person they were, and hoped they liked westerns.
But one thing came to another and before he was in his twenties, he already dug himself a hole within the Deadlock Gang.
He began to doubt he would ever meet his soulmate especially when he and his fellow associates were busted in a sting operation.
However, Reyes gave Jesse a chance to join Blackwatch and the young man saw this as his second chance at life and a way to redeem himself
And he couldn’t find you if he was locked up now could he? He gladly took the opportunity; he can start over again and still find his soulmate.
But as years went by, Blackwatch was exposed and went through periods of suspension. McCree left before the fall of Overwatch happened.
Jesse decided to become a bounty hunter and travel across the globe, not only to serve his own justice, but in hopes to finding his soulmate.
He would meet you whenever he decided to head back to his hometown; as soon as he got of the train, his red string began to glow.
McCree’s heart pounded cause he’s been dreaming of this moment since he was a kid. He followed his strong, pushing through the crowd.
You would literally fall into his arms as you tripped over the strangers’ feet; luckily the cowboy caught you before you hit the ground.
You noticed both your strings were connected; it’s funny how McCree was paired with someone from the city but he politely asked you out for lunch.

Hanzo gave no response, not even a reaction, except for the stiffening of his shoulders and the slight clench in his hands. His back was turned to you, hunched slightly, yet the demon still towered over you.
“ Hanzo, what’s going on? Why are you doing this? “ You placed a hand softly on his shoulder, silently willing him to turn around and speak to you. Despite the way your heart had fallen at his sudden announcement, you knew Hanzo, and you knew he could never do this without good reason.
Finally, the demon gave in with a tired sigh, turning sadly to you.
“ Y/n, your a human. “ You raised an eyebrow, sensing where this is going, “ And I…i’m a monster.”
“ Hanzo you’re not a- “
“ Y/n please, listen to me, “ He nearly pleaded, cupping your face between his two large hands, mindful of the claws. “ I’m a monster, there’s no denying that. People have already tried hunting me down, what if they come for you too? “
“ They’re not gonna come for me, i’m a human, “ You said with a small smile, despite your squished face, “ And they won’t come for you either, i’ll make sure of that. “
Hanzo wasn’t convinced, and with another soft sigh dropped his hands to his side again.
“ I’m not willing to take that chance. I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if you got hurt. “
“ I told you I wont get- “
“ Stop!“ Hanzo growled out in frustration, “ Just stop. Please, get over me, we can’t get back together, so just leave me.”
Stubborn as usual. You were used to that, but his persistence in trying to get you to leave hurt your heart- Didn’t he love you enough to want you to stay?
“ How can I get over you when you’re my entire world? “
Your words were meek, and your eyes fogged up with tears threatening to spill out, but you finally managed to grab his attention and make him listen.
“ Entire world? “ Hanzo repeated, astonished, “ You- you love me that much? “
“ Yes! “ You took his hands in yours, your grip strong, and your face set in determination, “ I don’t care that you’re a demon and i’m a human. I don’t care if someone tries to hurt me,because i know you’ll protect me, and I would protect you. I love you, Hanzo, and if you truly loved me you’d let me stay. “
Though your mutual attraction to each other was obvious, neither of you had ever confessed your love for each other. But you have now, and you anxiously held your breath waiting for his answer.
Hanzo was speechless, and you wondered if you came on too strong too fast.
“ I know you’re just pushing me away to protect me, but I promise you I can protect myself just fine. “ You said softer, breaking you eye contact to stare at your shoes, “ You say you wouldn’t be able to live if I got hurt, well I wouldn’t be able to live if you weren’t in my life so…please, don’t leave me alone. “
You couldn’t bring yourself to meet his gaze- He probably didn’t care for you that much anyways, that’s probably the real reason he was telling you to leave. But a hand gently grabbed your chin to get you to look up.
“ I’m sorry, you’re right, I just wanted to protect you, “ Hanzo murmured, caressing your cheek with a thumb, “ I’ll never leave you, Koneko. “
Hanzo leaned down to kiss you, and you met him half-way by standing on your tippy-toes. But before your lips met, he whispered a soft, I love you too.
