The Elevated TOW System (ETS), basically a M901 ITOW launcher on an elevated mast that extends up to 6.5 meters. Saw Danish Army trials in the 1990s.

I like the idea of Technus finding out about Skulker’s true nature. Skulker gets preemptively defensive about it (because everyone seems to make fun of him for his height) but Technus’s only reaction is like, “If you’re just a blob ghost piloting a suit... then why did you make the suit so small?”
And Skulker just bluescreens for a moment before doing the Pentacost “You. Keep talking” meme
Then a week later Skulker attacks Amity in a goddamn 50 foot tall mech suit.

The Only Successful Chernobyl Robot: The Toy Tank
Tumblr media
Chernobyl is a notable example of the use of robots to clean up and scout out areas hazardous to human workers. The robots of Chernobyl are infamous amongst the Liquidators who worked with them for their unreliability and expense. Because of their cost and the way Soviet procurement worked, any robot that failed while being used had to be retrieved by the Liquidators. Since most of the robots died in high radiation areas, many men were 'burned' (met their radiation quotas) just to get them into relative safety where they could be repaired or scrapped. There is, however, one notable exception to this trend; the Toy Tank (seen in the photo above).
Purchased by a liquidator in Kiev for 12 rubles (~$5) in 1986 after the Chernobyl disaster, this plastic tank had a short cord attaching it to its remote controller. It could move forwards and backwards, turn, and rattle to imitate firing its gun. After being brought to the Chernobyl Zone, it was quickly retrofitted for use at the CHNPP. The controller wire was extended to ten meters, and the tank was retrofitted with a flashlight, thermometer, and dosimeter. Using these tools, the tank could be sent ahead of exploration teams in the warren of rooms and hallways of Unit 4 as a 'hunting dog' to do primitive dosimetric and temperature exploration. This allowed the Liquidators to move with far more safety and caution into the depths of Unit 4.
The tank was procured and used by the Chernobyl Sarcophagus Exploration Team, a group of scientists from the Kurchatov Institute tasked with locating and monitoring the uranium fuel of Reactor 4 within the Unit Block. Nuclear fuel gives off radiation and heat, and so the tank was used to keep the team out of any unexplored rooms that may have contained these hazards. The tank was by all accounts extremely effective, and as an added bonus was far easier to decontaminate than the complex robots provided by various science ministries.
The performed its task deftly and with great success until the spring of 1987, when it became impossible to decontaminate any further. It was entombed in the Sarcophagus which it so dutifully explored.
This may seem like an urban legend or a wacky story made up by a tour guide, but it is in fact corroborated by countless memoirs and interviews with Liquidators. Also, no discredit to the other robots that served admirably at Chernobyl. There were probably other, equally as effective robots used in the zone, but this is the one most people who worked at the CHNPP itself speak of with any form of reverence.
Borovoi, A. A. (2017). Chapter 5: Robots. In My Chernobyl: The human story of a scientist and the Nuclear Power Plant Catastrophe (pp. 68–69). essay, Piscataqua Press.
BONUS STORY!
The Toy Tank does have a big brother, three (some sources say four) ISU-152 self propelled gun that were used to demolish large buildings in the Chernobyl Zone.
Below: One of the ISU-152 'Demolition Tanks' used in the Chernobyl Zone. The New Safe Confinement covering Unit 4 can be seen in the background.

Mmmmmmmm, but what if Estelle grows up without knowing about the Greek myths being real?
What if Sally and Paul look at Percy, who's hesitant to hold his baby sister for fear of drowning her with blood-drenched hands, who eventually holds her like she's made of glass because the Destroyer is afraid of breaking her, who shoves his face into his pillow to keep his nightmares from waking her up–
What if Sally and Paul look at Percy, seventeen years old with the world resting on his shoulders since he was twelve, and ask, "Do you want her to know?"
And he wonders. He thought it'd be a given, that she'd grow up surrounded by monsters and magic, that he'd make fish made of water swim around her to make her laugh, that there would be no secrets as to his life's horror.
But he wonders. He thinks that, maybe, she won't have to grow up afraid of her own shadow. She's mortal, after all. There is no ichor in her veins. There is no guarantee she will be Clear Sighted.
There is no reason she can't live a normal life.
There is no reason she has to be woven into the Fates' tapestry beyond the barest of mentions.
He wonders, and he decides no. No, this one person, this little bundle of giggles, this reason that motivates him to learn healthy coping mechanisms, this little sister of his — she will not be forced to grow up so fast. She will not hesitate making plans for her future in fear of never making it that far. She will not suffer scars from things other than risky bike tricks and tumbling down a hill.
This one person that he can protect, for once in his life. This one person that he will protect, from both of his worlds.
Oh, it's not that she doesn't know anything. He makes sure she knows as many myths as possible, as many ways to protect herself as she can learn, as many people and places that can help her if she ever needs it. She grows up with bedtime stories about winged horses and giant dogs and a number of human-animal hybrids. She dreams of a brother with a scarred lip and a girl who loves too much and a sister who usually thinks of her sibling before herself and a boy who can tame dragons, and sometimes it's like her dreams are real, like she actually knows the characters from her brother's stories. She learns to recognize unfairness and abuse, to stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves, to make things right even if she has to force unwilling hands to do what she wants with trickery.
She knows so much.
But she never climbs a wall flowing with lava. But she never picks up a sword and dons a set of armor. But she never learns her loved ones' scars don't come from unfortunate accidents. But she never flies through the sky on helpful wings. But she never dives into the depths of the ocean in a bubble of air. But she never gets lost in a house that's always changing its layout to suit its occupants' needs. But she never watches her home in ruin. But she never runs from an inferno consuming the world around her. But she never cradles a friend's body as the life drains from their eyes.
But she never stops being an ordinary mortal.

I love that it shows in-canon that Kallus gets to co-pilot the Ghost with Hera a couple times. He even argues about whether he or Rex should pilot as though he was excited to do so.
Tumblr media
But the first few times he was in the ship post-Atollon must have been....an experience.
He's so used to seeing the Ghost from the other side, through the viewport of a star destroyer and through the front of the tiny ship as it swooshes by.
He's studied the layout and engineering manual of this one ship that has caused him so many headaches so often that he should be able to rebuild it from memory.
But there were always things that didnt make sense like, why does it make that sound, why does it seem to jolt slightly when it turns to starboard, and what is that thing he keeps seeing in the cockpit viewport?
And then, oh and then..
He finally gets to inspect the ship from the inside, without threat of being knocked out by a suspiciously quiet lasat. (Hi Zeb)
And wishes he hadn't.
He realizes, to his growing horror, that the ship jolts because half the parts are second, third, even fourth hand, made for models of ships that no longer exist and welded in at odd angles.
The odd THING he always saw through the transparisteel was a chunk of a plastoid armor piece wedged into the stolen acceleration control in order to keep it from falling right out of the console.
And the sound, he sees upon opening an access panel, is one of the engines held in place by a well-packed layer of MILK CARTONS.
-----
Hera: You okay Kal? You've been really quiet.
Kallus: *sheet white and holding co-pilot steering in a death grip*

These biker gang members thought they were freedom fighters, and contempt for authority.
But the authority was magnanimous, would like to give these saboteurs new chance.
Tumblr media
All members would be arrested immediately on street, those who escaped would also be captured by other police squads.
They would be punished in front of public and a police helmet would be forced down to their head.
Tumblr media
The shapes of helmets were same as those of normal police officers, but in fact they were different.
There were many probe inside helmets and would penetrate the thugs’ heads. Their brain wave would be modified, their beliefs and values would be altered to be in line with national interests.
Tumblr media
The nanites flew down from helmets would convert their clothing to the uniform of those who arrested them.
Most bikers wear leather clothing so there was no problem to create a whole new set of uniforms including combat armors.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, some didn’t wear upper clothing, the nanites would convert their human body directly. They would become half man half machine, actually more powerful and even immortal.
No matter what type of officer they become, they would all be turned from law destroyers to law enforcers, freedom fighters to protectors of order.
Tumblr media
They would serve the citizens very well.

is previously used armor allowed?
im a brand new private but my brother is a Master Sergeant and i use his old heavy armor and i was wondering if thats allowed? would that be stolen valor? please answer soon!
It’s an effective use of resources. This is why when Helldivers are killed in action, the new Helldivers that claim their Super Destroyers retain the equipment of the former operator.
