The gf has been having doubts about the relationship and took a chance to get the sons side. When she was given information that confirmed her suspicions she dumped and was honest has to why.

My sister Julia has been in a toxic relationship for years in which she was repeatedly physically and emotionally abused and recently her husband up and left her and my nephew Aiden, who tried to defend her from him, with no way to pay housing or car bills and most importantly no way to pay for my epileptic nephew's doctor bills. My sister has a number of medical needs as well, including care for therapy after abuse, kidney problems and most likely other psychiatric disorders if my own mental health is anything to go off of. Please boost and help if you can. Julia is finally able to try living for herself but can't get off the ground without the means. A man abandons his infant in a strangers shed and the man who found her said “I just hope he comes out and takes care of his kids and cleans his act up,”.              Men see children as something they are entitled to not a major responsibility 

LIVINGSTON, Texas — The McClains live close enough to Livingston for convenience, but they're far enough away to avoid most nefarious activity.

"It’s just peaceful and quiet,” Katharine McClain said.

All was fine until Saturday morning when their security camera recorded a mostly naked man checking their vehicle doors before allegedly stealing a neighbor’s truck. The sound of him leaving the scene woke them up.

"We called the neighbors and they reported it stolen,” John McClain said.

The excitement they thought was over had really just begun.

Their dog, Archie, was seen on the home security camera barking at something inside their shed. When John went over to investigate, he made a startling discovery.

"He said, 'Call 911, there’s a baby,'” Katharine said.

Katharine’s first thought was that it may have been a baby snake or some other animal.

"He said, 'Call 911 quickly,'" Katharine said. "'There’s an infant in here.'”

A baby girl was on the ground inside the shed.

"When I opened it up (the door to the shed), the baby was laying right by the motorcycle right there,” John said.

Katharine said the dispatcher told her it was OK to pick up the baby, which she did, before taking her up to the house. Photos show the child wrapped up in a towel while waiting for an ambulance to arrive.

The child was checked out at the house before being taken to a hospital in Houston.

“I’m a mom," Katharine said. "I was pretty frantic and just shocked. It’s still kind of got me a little bit.”

Authorities said the stolen truck was later found with the child's father behind the wheel. Records show he was booked in the Polk County Jail on charges including abandoning or endangering a child. Officials said his vehicle was found abandoned near railroad tracks that run right behind the McClain property.

“I just hope he comes out and takes care of his kids and cleans his act up,” John said.

Katharine said she'd be willing to add the girl to their family.

“I just want her to be happy and live a good life, you know?" Katharine said. "If they gave her to me, I’ll take her in a heartbeat. And she’ll never have any worries again.”

The McClain's security camera recorded the suspect holding the baby before going into the shed. He appeared to spend hours inside with her before leaving and allegedly stealing the truck. The McClain family didn't want to share the video until law enforcement gets a copy.

The child's condition is unknown, but it's believed that she will be OK.

KHOU 11 News tried to reach out to family members of the child's father but was unsuccessful.

Why does society look down on single mothers?

How can we have anything bad to say about the parent that stayed to raise the child or children, alone?

Why doesn't society blame the fathers who left?

It doesn't matter whether you could get along as a couple. It is a disgrace to shirk your responsibility as a parent.

Also using outdated and unscientific research to state that children of single mothers are prone to crime and degeneracy, is just a lazy and round about way of blaming single mothers for raising their children

Let's change the termilogy to lay any negativity at the feet of those who deserve it

i wonder where the idea of chilchuck being a deadbeat came from when theres like. no textual evidence for it ?

he knows what all of them are up to; he still writes to flertom and she sent him his neckwarmer, so that to me implies that they at least have a somewhat positive relationship?

its more ambiguous with meijack and puckpatti, but since meijack is also a picklock, i wouldn't be surprised if he taught her himself, considering how trades are often passed down through families, and because he talks about sending people to her if he dies.

also the way he talks about puckpatti is very like... it's obvious he wants her to take things more seriously, but he's accepting, and his tone here reads more fond to me than anything else.

like, he keeps his daughters' old toys under his desk? that doesn't scream 'deadbeat' at all, it screams 'empty nester' who doesn't know how to reach out or is scared to do so

EDIT: i know a lot of the 'deadbeat dad' stuff is jokes, but some people are Not joking and genuinely think chilchuck is a bad dad. this post is not saying that you cant joke about it; it is just outlining what canon shows regarding his (clearly positive) relationship with his kids.
