My turn to be skk-posting

in my ideal vision, when they finally get in something resembling a relationship (as adults, they were Not There as teenagers), it's because they both want it, which means they unlock previously forbidden features with each other like sharing a bed instead of a couch (you all know about my weird obsession with skk and couches), but also freely touching.

Dazai is a rather tactile person; my guy is freed after 2 weeks in prison and the first thing he does is dance, poke at, lean/hug and play with the hair of the first non-evil person (a stranger) he meets. Being with Chuuya, he constantly finds himself in Chuuya's bubble, and indulges in ways he usually can't with others. That often means direct skin contact, not even with ulterior motives, but really just because he is allowed and he wants to.

Chuuya on the other hand has never done something gently ever: he is fierce, he cares and loves intensely, and he never lets go, but he barely knows the concept of a reassuring gesture (working on it). Dazai being in his bubble wouldn't bother him at all by that point, but the handsy part? it's awkward. needs some getting used to. It's a learning opportunity.

And when Chuuya gets used to it and finally makes a move to return the favour? it's Dazai who short-circuits.

#probably a mix of it being someone else initiating touch instead of him and said contact being (finally) gentle #we're getting off-subject but i'm convinced there's a difference for dazai between casual or violent touch and purposefully gentle touch #after all his way of showing affection is primarily by being a menace and being annoying to those closest to him. which tends to come with- #-threats of violence if not attempted/executed violence (kunikid.a repeatedly choking or drop-kicking him for his repeated offences) #AND a difference between being touched with and without bandages (it's like a second skin) where *with* bandages it's mostly whatever #this man flirts off-screen like his life depends on it he does not mind physical touch BUT (<- your cue to make some headcanons) #on a tangent do you think dazai's fingers would be cold asking for chuuya's sanity #bsd #skk #soukoku #apparently i talk sometimes

Been rewatching Jurassic Park so obviously now I'm imagining a silly SKK Jurassic Park AU for the fun of it.

Dazai is the hotshot arrogant chaotician who is adamantly against opening a dinosaur park and spends most of his time flirting with Chuuya, the disgruntled but secretly full of wonder paleontologist, who is at first taken in by the miracle of dinosaurs being back until they get attacked by them.

The Akutagawa siblings are the children they end up having to protect from dinosaurs. Little Ryuunosuke has read Dazai's book on Chaos theory and follows him around like a puppy. Gin is terrified of dinosaurs after the T-rex until Chuuya shows them dinos aren't monsters and they pet the Brachiosaurus together.

Dazai tries to have a stand off with a T-rex and gets his shirt ripped open so he can lay sluttily across a table and tease Chuuya for looking.

Oh and years later Atsushi is the kid from the third movie that survived on dino island all by himself for three weeks because he read Chuuya and Dazai's books on dinosaurs.

sure, dazai and sigma waltzing down a prison hallway is forever looping in my mind but its also because it's SO MUCH MORE than just a fun scene. and even the fact it is a fun moment is hella important. trust dazai on this one. sigma has been an unwilling pawn in too many schemes- given a home for some time and then discarded. and then it just seems to him he's being shoved right into another one from the moment dazai choses him. to him, dazai's known as a threat. a being matching in smarts with fyodor, unhinged enough to blush in anticipation at a death match, and to laugh injecting posion into his veins. that's his first personal impression of the man. but dazai takes sigma's hand, pulls him close, practically basks in the absolute nonesense of it (to sigma's increasing panic), twirling and twirling until sigma will shove him away- and then it's where sigma realises dazai's still smiling at him?? it's when sigma wonders for a second if he's had this wrong. or maybe that he's been right- but maybe there's more to this. more to dazai's plan for him. and see, sigma's usually high strung anyways, dedicated to a fault....but now he's been feeling lost, fed up of it all, angry and even more stressed to breaking point. and dazai.....reacts accordingly for when he wants to bridge a gap between him and someone. aka. obnoxious familiarity and overall whimsy. in-your-face (literally) humour to let the other person get riled up at HIM for a moment, let them let it out, and then redirects the focus once they've said what's truly on their mind. and right after his outburst at dazai, sigma's self-awareness kicks in fast.... that dazai's.....directing him? is it manipulating? what's the intention? sigma goes a little quiet and thinks carefully when dazai prompts him more questions. he's still pissed and weirded out, but it already feels entirety foreign to the sinister, dismissive, masterplan smile fyodor will throw at him....and that's enough to let sigma focus. dazai's smile broadens, encouragingly, lets his personality do the talking and is probably the most genuine but lighthearted at the same time the show has shown him. but IT STANDS IN POINT that dazai broke the tension in sigma, improvising and adjusting to the wild card he's chose sigma to be, already committed to giving sigma the option to be saved. it's literally dazai at the peak of the person oda wished him to be: masterplanning, expressing himself more honestly, smiling and not buried in darkness. and it's sigma experiencing humanity - through dazai's guidance (humanity through DAZAI!!!!!!!!), plus through being literally just silly- pushed hard, but not too hard - into being given hope.
