fanfic draft is finished guys! I'm literally going insane. I've been working on this draft for two years. It's nine chapters now (originally a one shot). I'm planning to edit it over the next while, but I will hopefully be posting it on AO3 as I go. I am starting another university semester soon, so I'm not sure how much time I'm going to have, but I am planning to try as hard as I can to get the edits done.

Here’s some facts about Erik.

Erik Magnus Lehnsherr

From: Düsseldorf, Germany

Date of birth: January 30th, 1930

He speak several languages. Among them are English, German, Yiddish, French, Polish, and Spanish.

He went to Auschwitz Birkenau together with his father and mother in 1942, and stayed there until January 27, 1945.

After the passing of the Nuremberg Laws in 1935 and Kristallnacht, Erik and his family fled to Poland where they were captured during the German invasion of Poland and sent to the Warsaw Ghetto - then later to Auschwitz.

His father, Jacob, was a shop owner and a popular watchmaker in Düsseldorf. The store was destroyed during Crystal Night.

Erik doesn’t eat chocolate due to what happened with Shaw during the war.

He lived in the Warsaw Ghetto from 1940 until 1942.

There were a lot of people there, and it was not unusual for Erik to see beggars having died on the streets of the ghetto.

Due to Apocalypse's enhancement, he is now able to control metal within the earth itself. His new abilities allow him to control Earth’s magnetic poles and rip the metallic particles from the earth, which made him capable of destroying whole parts of the planet. He can even create powerful magnetic force fields and barriers that nothing can penetrate.

He is tired and depressed after the event of Apocalypse and the death of his family.

He is still quick to anger, though it has dulled with his depression.

He does not really want to interact with others.

He likes to talk about philosophical subjects.

He makes metal figurines as a hobby.

He likes blues and jazz.

He was not on a continuing nazi hunt before 1962. Between 1945 and 1949 he tried living a free life, but he could not find any peace. He even tried immigrating to both Switzerland and the US, before he found that he needed vengeance.

He was investigating the Ratlines in Spain when he met Peter’s mother in Madrid.

Raven never turned into Psylocke?

What if she didn't have to?

What if Erik, already knowing that Peter was his son, saw Apocalypse hovering over his son after breaking his arm and knee and decided ‘fuck it’ and created that metal X?

What if the reason Erik was suddenly hesitant to fight by Apocalypse’s side wasn't just because of his love for Charles but also for his love for his son?

What if Erik realized that his idea of peace wasn't right when he saw that his son was willing to fight against him just to stop Apocalypse?

What if Erik realized that the way he was going about things was wrong when he saw that his son was willing to protect humans, a group that has never accepted Peter and has done nothing but hurt and take, just so that the world wouldn't be plunged into an apocalypse?

What if Peter never had to feel that brush of death because he couldn't remember the time he tried to kill himself? What if Peter never had to feel that type of fear because his father cared for him, even though he didn't know it quite yet?
