Watery Breaths - Aizawa

A/N: Hi! I’m doing alright. I think I’ve pushed myself a bit too far the past few weeks and am now suffering the consequences, but that’s alright. I hope you’re doing well! Take care of yourself as well! And for the sake of this fic, UA had the dorms before Bakugou was kidnapped. Sorry this is so rushed, it’s been a rough day <3

It first happened when Aizawa was sent to the hospital after the USJ attack. Much like his other students, you stood by his bedside when he was well enough to have company. Several of his students were crying, mostly tears of joy, but none of them held their breath like he thought you were doing. He didn’t think much of it though

The next time it happened was when Bakugou was kidnapped. You were there to watch him be taken away from you, and you did nothing about it. Or, at least that’s what you were telling yourself. Except you didn’t start crying until Aizawa placed a hand on your shoulder to lead you back to safety. You immediately began to sob as he gently pulled you away from where you last saw your best friend.

Not much later you had stopped making sounds, but AIzawa could feel how hard you tried not to cry. You had momentarily stopped breathing. He thought it was because of the intense scent of smoke surrounding the camp so he didn’t say anything until he got you and the remaining students back to UA where you’d be safe and sound.

You didn’t sleep that night. In fact, you didn’t even go to bed. When you returned to UA you settled into the corner of one of the couches, curling into a ball and burying your face into your knees as you began to cry again. You were left alone as your classmates dealt with this trauma in their own ways. Some went to wash away the day in an extremely long shower while others returned to their rooms to be alone.

You were still crying when Aizawa returned to the dorms late into the night. He was startled to still see you in the same place he had left you. Slowly, he lowered himself beside you as he pondered how to comfort you. That’s when he noticed your strained sobs again. It sounded almost as you were holding your breath.

“Y/N,” he said gently, placing a hand on your shoulder. “Take a deep breath. I’ll do it with you.” Aizawa inhaled deeply, encouraging you to do so as well. You nodded, drawing in a shaky breath and then exhaling it, breath quivering. But then you held your breath again.

Aizawa was unsure why you kept holding your breath. You couldn’t be embarrassed, he’s seen you aggressively burst into tears over the ending of a TV show you were finishing late one night in the common room. You weren’t afraid to cry in front of your homeroom teacher. So why are you sounding so strained now?

“Honey,” he cooed softly. “Keep breathing. Stop holding your breath.”

“I’m sorry,” you choked out as you took another shaky breath. “It’s a habit I’ve had ever since I was little. I always hold my breath when I cry.”

Aizawa smiled slightly as he ruffled your hair gently. “Well, stop it. You’re going to make yourself light headed.” He then proceeded to lead you through a few breathing exercises to calm you down. He made sure you were alright before escorting you up to your room to turn in for the night.

Now that he knows that you force yourself to stop breathing everytime you cry, Aizawa’s got more breathing exercises on hand to help you breath again. All you have to do is find him :)

You were looking at the mirror after having a bad day when tears started to roll down your cheeks. You covered your face with your hands, thinking about it made you tear up even more. You looked at the mirror again only to see your boyfriend looking at you. "baby?" he said sounding desperate. "Y-yeah?" you tried to hide the fact that you were crying even after getting caught. "Are you crying, don't lie to me" he came close and cupped your chin. "Mitsuya don't worry about me I am fi-" he kissed you as soon as you were about finish your sentence. "I know you had a bad day". "How do you know?" it was like he read your mind. "Just guessed it, now stop crying". He kissed you one more time and you two cuddled for hours.

Ken Ryuguji

It was like 1:00 AM in the morning and you couldn't sleep. You didn't realized a tear fell on your hand when you were overthinking everything. Your sobs woke Draken who was sleeping next to you. "Darling?" he said sounding sleepy. His half opened eyes widened when he caught the sight of you crying and immediately hugged you. "Y-y/n!? what's the matter darling?". He had never seen you crying before so he tried his best not to freak out. Will rub your back and say sweet things about you. "Sorry babe I woke you up". "It's alright, Don't worry about it". You kissed his cheek "I love you". "Love you even more".

Chifuyu Matsuno

You were very insecure about yourself you often had thoughts like "Is he gonna leave me?" or "Am I not perfect for him?". Your eyes filled with tears thinking about it when a knock came through the door. You wiped your tears with the long sleeve shirt you were wearing and opened it. It was Chifuyu, your boyfriend. "I missed you, Love" he said before kissing you. You wrapped your hands around him "me too". You to sat down on the couch but you noticed he wasn't saying anything and was staring at you. "Chi?" you asked. "Love...were you crying?". You paused for a movement wondering how he found out. "If there is anything troubling you, please tell me" he said getting closer. Hearing this you started crying again and he softly hugged you. After you stopped he listen to your insecurities and showers you in compliments. "Y/N, you are the most beautiful girl I have ever met and to me you are perfect". He then took you out for a night ride on his bike.

You were curled up in your blanket when he saw you. "Y/N..." he said softly as he sit beside you. His eyes widened when he heard your sobs. He didn't said anything because he understands that you need space. After some time he hugged you. "If there is anything bothering you you can tell me Y/N". He asks if you want to go out. If you say yes then he will buy you snacks and take you on a date to comfort you. If you said no then he'll try to make your favourite food at home, watch movies with you and cuddle as he comfort you.

"Babe are you crying?" he said hugging your curled up figure. "Hey babe you know I hate it when you're sad so please stop crying". You came out of the blanket and hugged him tightly. He rubbed your back and whispered sweet things in your ears. Once you finally stopped crying took you for a walk outside and hold your hands.

When he hears you sob he will panic. He had not comforted someone before but he will try his best. You always felt so bad for Butters, he is literally sweet and kind (most of the time) but he has terrible parents who ground him for no reason and even hits him.

You let Butters cry on your shoulder or into your shirt while you hug him.

Butters has friends, but not much of a friend to even comfort Butters when he is at his worse. You're literally the only REAL friend who cares about him and his feelings.

That's why Butters always comes to you first to vent his problems to you.

He loves his parents, but sometimes he wishes they wouldn't ground him, yell at him, and hit him for no reason at all.

So when Butters had his first panic attack, you stayed by his side and never left him until he was feeling better.

It doesn't matter if you had someone calling you or what, your friend is in need of emotional support right now.

Butters eyes would be red from him crying a lot, you never seen him spill so much tears. You low-key hate his parents with a passion for all of the shit they had put him through.

*sniffles* "(Name).... you're truly the best friend I have ever had....thank you for being there for me... you're a friend that I'd probably never have again..."
