My months of rest and relaxation // day 72
Today was super chill, I listened to the witcher audiobook a lot while doing other things like crocheting and chopping veggies. The narration in the fourth novel is slow af so I am really thankful to the audiobook or I would be stuck forever.
Productivity:
practiced Irish on duolingo
finished my crochet sweatervest and I am so happy with how it turned out!! The size fits perfectly and now I am left with figuring out what my next project will be
updated my reading journal
worked on some posts
sterted to reorganize my pinterest a little bit because it was a mess
looked for hair inspo cause I absolutely need to get my haircut fixed cause it has no sense anymore
chopped a bunch of veggies for dinner
Self care:
read first thing in the morning
started using a mood tracking app since I have no been using trackers on my bujo in a while. I have no idea if this will work out for me cause digital stuff is not my thing but I am trying
took a relaxing bath

the worst thing about crocheting a sweater is that now i crave to make more sweaters. why stop at one. my whole wardrobe can be sweaters that i made. the power is intoxicating

i actually really dislike the look of chunky yarn but my first finished knitting project was a chunky vest that i’ve never wore in my life because it’s just so. chunky. so i plan on unraveling it and making a few cabled beanies with it (maybe two? and a smaller one if there’s enough yarn left). the yarn is really soft and pretty and i don’t want it to be forgotten in my closet unused. :)

out of curiosity, how long does it generally take to design a pattern? like, crochet, knitting, sewing, any of it, really. i've tossed around a bunch directly from my brain but due to The AuDHD i never really ever had a concrete moment of sitting down and intentionally putting together a pattern. i mostly just wing it whenever the urge hits me. fun in theory and in practice, but not a great way to time the creative process lmao
i need to know for uh. reasons. like how long is a reasonable time period to gather crafters together online for charity-related reasons and ask them to come up with something new. those kinds of reasons

Flipping through book of Japanese crochet patterns at the library yesterday, found this on the page of yarns used for the patterns, which are Japanese brands so they're hard to find outside Japan so their weights and materials, etc. are listed to facilitate substitution, but anyway:
I fucking lost my shit. It's too perfect. Lol.
