Shoutout to knitblr for getting knitting trending today. Without that I very honestly would not have finished this sweater vest (that I started over a year ago)
Also she is for sale if anyone is interested (I have not set a price nor have I finished weaving in ends but feel free to hit me up if you want the measurements 👀)

Recreation of the Paul McCartney magical mystery tour sweater vest that I knitted a while back for my partners birthday
This was the first knit project I’ve ever completed so to say I’m proud is an understatement lmao
(edit: forgot to mention I used reclaimed yarn that I found from the thrift store!! finding all the right colors was just a sign that this project had to get made)

Okay so Victoria vs Teacher is clearly meant to be a spin on the Superman Archetype versus the Lex Luther archetype.
But what it really needed was a Teacher interlude where we learn that his origin story was that pre-teen Vicky cited him on PHO and he couldn’t handle the mockery.
Thus why he has the power to give people knowledge, but never obtain it himself.

it’s finished!! Now that it’s all tidied up, I’m really enjoying it. It’s made from a vintage 1940s pattern in trans colors. I saw the yarn at the store and had to have it! I think it’s a bit long on me though, either that or my shirt should be untucked, or maybe I need high waisted pants. And like I said in my last post I should have knit it flat instead of in the round. But other than that the fit is really nice and it was so easy to knit.
previous post: here
pattern is: Sleeveless Pullover Pattern #S-113 printed in Spool Cotton #198 Knit for Victory
yarn is: lion brand ice cream in “cake batter”

Shots of my VERY FIRST sweater vest before and after blocking, including a small portion of the ultra-chic leg crutch I've been wearing since my ankle surgery.
One silver lining to being stuck at home: a little more time for personal projects. I started the Tessellated Vest about a month ago and finally finished it today! I guess this is my first sweater, if sleeveless sweaters count.
I couldn't quite wrap my head around the tubular CO, so I decided to start with the Twisted German Cast On and then finish the armholes and collar with Jeny's Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off.
Yarns used:
Whales Road (Malabrigo Arroyo)
Reflecting Pool (Malabrigo Arroyo)
Mint (Rowan Kidsilk Haze)
