I still remember watching this video on July 31st, 2018 and seeing that montage of artists. That's when I felt inspired to become myself. That's when my new journey started after, and feel free to laugh at me, finally giving up on my dreams of appearing on Disney Channel.

This video intro inspired me to become the artist I truly am.

I returned to the bird app for the most part because again, well… nobody really left there and came here? ik a few people went to Mastodon but I just don't see a point atm

Anyways I'm not here to talk much about other apps or stuff I haven't been posting here, just wanted to do another mini album review!

Today's album (EP, actually): A Piper for Janet by Cosmo Pyke

A Piper for Janet is up there for one of my favorite songs Spotify randomly recommended to me, but what I didn't know until yesterday is that it was released as a single a few months before becoming the eponymous title of an EP. It has everything I like — jazzy orchestra and guitars, soulful vocals, and some storytelling in some slightly moody lyrics.

I found this song and later found Cosmo's song After School Club, which is also very nice and I'll recommend it (I recommend Cosmo Pyke in general for other jazz enthusiasts!)

I don't have much really to say on it mostly because I'm awful at giving thorough reviews on music (though I do think myself pretty good at recs) — it's a 4-song EP that tells a story over some nice beats with powerful vocals and just the right amount of repetition. If you see this and were looking for an album, maybe give it a listen?
