one of our alters is technically from the dsmp but he's so far separated from his source he barely looks like the guy and doesn't use the same name anymore - hasn't in almost two years

and yet. we were still told to leave the server. because he existing at all was 'scaring people'. mind you none of them even met him, we just casually introduced him in the intro post.

(we barely mentioned his source, but we mentioned it the same way you'd introduce someone, ie 'this is max, he's from new york')

idk where this rumor ive seen started but if you're an osdd/did system and have introjects that identify as only their source and vibe w that while still understanding they're in a system then you're a functional system. you're allowed to search for other alters from that source to find friends. you don't have to give up your source to be "healthy" and it's not delusional. source identity is not a delusion. it's just part of an alter. you're normal and healthy if you're an introject connected to your source and it's not avoiding recovery to accept yourself and how you feel . also don't @ me im not in debate club you guys just need to let ppl heal and exist happily . maybe that's true recovery huh . this ones for the poor fools suffering in echo chambers. Seeing "doubles DNI" is always so weird especially alter wise... there's no "doubles" of you. You share the base source but you are you and others are others. It's like saying my name is John and every other John that looks similar to me DNI. You're still 2 different people with different lives and experiences.

Same with sourcemates. You CANNOT have sourcemates outside your own system. Your source is your brains perception of the media. Your experiences and memories from source will never be the same as someone elses.

I feel like I need to keep repeating this:

Hia, singlet here so absolutely feel free to ignore this this entirely but I've had a burning question in my head for like two months.

Unfortunately I don't think this is something I can really google because there's a scenario attached to this question;

So let's say there are two systems-A and B-that get along well. And let's say that A has a fictive offf.... Sundrop from Five Nights at Freddy's? One day B realizes that they have a new alter that is also Sundrop, except this new alter is actually based off of A's fictive rather than the actual character himself.

So my question is if system B's Sundrop would be considered a factive (because they were based off of A's alter and not the actual character) or a fictive (because the headmate they were based off of is a fictive)

I apologize if any off this come off as uneducated (or too convoluted to understand). The reason I ask this hypothetical is to educate myself, and my ADHD makes it to where I need to ask specific questions that may seem weird or confusing to others in order to understand a subject (in this case; plurality)

not a weird question, this is something that actually happens!

it would be up to the headmate how they want to identify, but our personal perspective is if they're entirely based on the fictive then they're a factive, but if they're also partially based on the source of the other fictive, then they may be a fcktive, fuzztive or fogtive. it'd probably be easiest for them to just call themselves an introject
