1) Favourite non-canon SW ship

WOOO listen. There are Many and I ship a lot of pairings, but my most prominent is rexsoka. Kanera and chirrutbaze are so good too.

2) Best fanfic ever read

I’ve read a lot of good fics, it’s hard to choose! But the few memorable ones I remember is this The Hobbit fic called Mazarbul by StairwellWit where Durin the Deathless gets to be a ghost and watches over Bilbo as he grows up.

The other one is For a Man should Walk Tall by Project0506 where it’s the whole premise of Fives and Echo as newly appointed ARCs having steel balls by doing something they supposedly shouldn’t when interacting with Rex when the vets know how that’s like, illegal, within the hierarchy they all have there.

howdy folks this is just an intro! my name is ashla and i use she/her pronouns and i am 18 years of age. my main blog is @mundifinis so if you see me follow or like anything-- it’s going to be from that blog.

a fun star wars facts about me is i went as r2d2 back for comic-con a bunch of years back. some of my favorite characters are ahsoka tano, din djarin, cassian andor, and anakin skywalker. i mainly ship rebelcaptain, chirrutbaze, finnpoe, kaesoka, velcinta however there are some ships that i think are cute but not die hard for (e.g. anidala). i like the clone wars show as well as the mandalorian and so far i like andor. rogue one is my fav star wars movie of all time and behind it are return of the jedi and revenge of the sith. the prequel era/trilogy is generally my go to stuff i gravitate towards to (movies, tcw, etc).

i do wanna expand more of my star wars consumption beyond past the movies and main shows so feel free to drop some recs for any novels or comics!

i am typically a neutral person on stuff i don’t like but please don’t talk to me about reylo

I think if you sent Baze and Chirrut through time from Point Of Death to "IDK somewhere in the vague stretch of time that is Jinn&Kenobi fucking around" you'd have a very fun team-up where even Qui-Gon "I listen to the Force and it tells me you're a little bitch, also I grabbed this nine-year-old" Jinn is outshone by Chirrut "I am only barely Force-Sensitive, definitely not as much as a Jedi just enough to know when a Kyber crystal is nearby because I live on a planet of it, but I trust in The Force, enough to walk blind through a firefight, anyway I'm adopting these grown-ass criminals" Imwe, mostly because I want Qui-Gon having continuous "so THIS is how people feel about ME" moments, because he was already sort of aware, on account of being an adult with a minimum of self-awareness, but also it's very annoying to him that the blind Whill monk from??? Somewhere in the future???? is fucking around with more BDE than Qui-Gon himself can without actually getting booted from the Order.

I don't think Chirrut is inherently better than Qui-Gon but I do think he is going to be significantly funnier because Chirrut doesn't have a Senate to answer to and also he's married, and what few fucks he gave were eaten up by dying in a firefight to save a bunch of planets. Qui-Gon's good but Chirrut is just. He's a lot. I love him.

Chirrut is just having a grand old time. He knows he's annoying Baze, but Baze is his husband so that's allowed. He may or may not recognize Qui-Gon's incredibly complex annoyance at him. This is fine, because Chirrut is vibing most severely with the chance to be Incredibly Zen at actual real life Jedi.

Obi-Wan is going to have a conniption. Baze buys him a drink. It's fine. (It is not fine.)

Chirrut/Baze are awesome as a warrior couple, that is a good comparison. I wish Rey and Finn could have been like that. Finn and Chirrut seem force sensitive.

Oh yeah I bet Chirrut didn't have enough force sensitivity to be trained or maybe he was too old? And like we had canon force sensitive Finn except it wasn't as explicit because they cut parts.
