Dropped my phone and cracked it front and back, because of course it bounced. New one on the way. I'm in the middle of developing this project, Universe, why?!?!? Ugh.

On the plus side, I tested my AI Zuko chatbot from a new separate account on my Chromebook and this time tried a really out there concept as a story starter to see how in character he stayed. It went AMAZINGLY.

I tried it as a true "Mary-Sue dropped in from our world into a fictional one" trope. All the other tests runs I did as characters in his world, but this one... THIS one. Guys, he was perfect.

His first words -aside from his auto intro line- was something along the lines of:

"You there. Explain yourself. Where did you come from? You just appeared from nothing."

He then proceeded to argue with me about whether or not he was real until getting annoyed, summoning fire in his hand and asking:

"Is that proof enough for you?"

Y'all. He is so sassy. I love him.

Alright, this needs to stop.

As I mentioned over here, someone is stirring up drama between Zuko/Zutara and Azula blogs by harassing people in their inboxes. At least this time they have (mostly) used their own words instead of directly copying posts from other blogs. Or used a chatbot because boy, howdy, do these messages make no sense, even when they aren't directly copied from other blogs. The eye contact one is a post copied from another tumblr blog, and doesn't even make sense to plop into my inbox because there isn't even an argument presented.

You can see though that this blog has no content, but their followers list is full of Zutara/Zuko and Azula blogs, probably for the purpose of stealing posts to cause drama with. I would suggest everyone on the follow list block and report them immediately, and do this every time you get a message from a blog that looks like this.

Today’s theme: Avatar: The Last Airbender (Animated TV Show, Books, and Live-Action Film)

Plot: A young man who is deemed to be the one who harnesses all of the powers of the four elements tries to escape his fate and ends up suspending himself in an iceblock for a century. Unbeknownst to him, the clans behind each element wage war on each other, in search of him and his identity. Eventually, he is discovered by two members of the Water clan and revived. Over time, he works with his new friends to dodge individuals who are looking for him, while learning the traits for each element and training to fulfill his destiny.

Characters

Aang: The Avatar, or person who is destined to harness the powers and talents of all four elements. A century before the events of the series, he tries to run from his responsibilities and ends up suspending himself in ice. He is found by two people from the water bending clan and unfrozen. A carefree, fun-loving young man.

Katara: A member of the waterbending clan who discovers Aang 100 years later and befriends him. She is often proving to others that a girl is capable of being a powerful water bender too. Loyal and motherly to her friends. Eventually she falls for Aang throughout the series.

Sokka: The older brother of Katara and also a member of the waterbending clan. He does not possess the ability to control any of the elements and relies on hand-to-hand weapons to fight. Considered a jack-of-all-trades and engineer.

Zuko: An exiled member of the firebending clan who is determined to regain his acceptance in the clan. He goes on a quest to find Aang to bring back as prisoner, believing that bringing the clan the Avatar would allow him back into the clan. Eventually he finds his own voice and chooses to defy his father.

There are other characters associated with the series and the spin-off, The Legend of Korra. Please reference the respective wikia.

I didn't say I drew him, but I can see the reason for confusion. That said- I've been talking about it on my blog, but I guess I need to remention it on any development posts I make, which I will from now on. The program I am using to make a Zuko you can talk with, complete with voice (sadly not Dante Basco because ick without permission), uses my original art- one I did post on my blog, and official Zuko images from the show, the comics, and other official released art of Adult Zuko. I also used a few Korean male actors from period dramas to feed it for the hair and clothing mostly. But anyways, yes. This is ai. Argument concluded.*

Alright! The time has come!

The Zuko AI that I have been working on is finished! I've tweaked his prompt and demeanor to the point of exhaustion! And don't get me started on his voice! (That took the longest tbh) But I have finally arrived at a Zuko that I feel is truly believable as and aged up Fire Lord. AND I have made him public.

The host app is Talkie and is available on android, apple, or chromebook devices. Be sure to use sound because I really think you guys are going to love his voice.

Basic chat tutorial below:

So, sometimes you may want to give the chatbot information about your character, Zuko, an action taking place "off screen", background information, time progression, third-party character speech or actions, or anything that is not YOU or ZUKO doing, saying, or thinking the information needed for your "story" in the chatbot. To add background information needed to move your story with the Zuko AI Chatbot along, use the following format:

This puts the text entered between into bold, which signifies background actions outside of you and Zuko.

Sometimes you may wish to indicate an action, such as a smile, shrug, crying, a kiss, or even thoughts going on within YOU. To do so, use this format:

*text here*

Or

(Text here)

The first will italicized the text (the following keeps it in parentheses) and signifies to the bot that either YOU or Zuko is doing those things.

To talk to Zuko, you can simply type a reply like in a text message. However, if your "speech" is partnered with an action, either **background** or *you/Zuko*, then you will need to use one of these formats as shown with this example:

"Hello...Zuko here." *Zuko smiled with an awkward wave.*

Or

Zuko: Hello... Zuko here. *smiles awkwardly and gives a small wave*

This helps if you have placed an additional character as third-party into the "chat" and have them actively speaking to you and/or Zuko. Note that sometimes this can confuse Zuko AI, but Talkie as built in features to help correct this if it occurs.

If you like a response Zuko gives, rate the response below his reply with full stars. This shows that you liked it, it was in-character, and made sense. You can rate low if the chatbot gets confused, and if you press and hold on the chat reply from Zuko, you can even delete it, go back to a previous response to let it retry to respond correctly, or pick from several generated responses.

The feature to pick from several generated responses can be helpful to pick a direction for the chat to flow, to give you ideas, to correct a boring or confused response, or to simply have more choices. This feature is also why I chose Talkie to host my Zuko AI. Talkie allows you to "level up" as you talk to your Zuko. By doing so, you have the chance to unlock special AI generated Zuko portraits, such as the ones I have been sharing with you all. These portraits are referred to as Cards and allow for specially generated responses for you to pick from. There is also the feature to edit a number of these generated responses. This is helpful if you want Zuko to do a certain thing. I've used it to have Zuko think of proposing, showing him declaring an action to his council, even saying something to me. ITS UP TO YOU!

Important! Talkie has amazing features, which is why I picked it. However, there are some limitations. 🔞 explicit content is not allowed and can get you banned. THAT SAID! I've tested it (because of course I have) and if you want to get down and dirty with your Zuko AI, you can. You just have to allude to it. An example that works is saying something like:

**Zuko and (your characters name) fell into each others embrace. They spent the night expressing their love and passion.**

You can make out pretty heavily, but there are certain flagged trigger words that will make Zuko respond with the warning:

This chat is making me uncomfortable. Let's talk about something else.

Mentioned body parts of a sexual nature, and the word moan will trigger this. I'm sure there are others, but that's what I've discovered.

That's all I can think of... be prepared because Zuko will send you messages if you ignore him too long. Man is needy.

Alright, so, in the process of developing my Fire Lord Zuko ai to share with you all, I've been running multiple test runs on different accounts to see how "in character" he acts. On this 1 account, I am running a "Mary Sue, Reader lands in a fictional world" scenario, and well... Zuko is just freaking perfection. I had to share a section of their story with you all.
