Joseph Abrams patented his cast iron grave cover in 1872 and 1873 as a decorative way to protect the graves of small children (who are buried underground, not under the dome). But several were used for adults.

Graveyard Romance - a ghost and witch walk through a cemetery holding hands under the moon.
Getting really obsessed with drawing ghosts as white blobs with eyes. It's fun! You can buy a print from my shop here.

A patch of purple
It's no surprise that, for the moment, the dominant color scheme at Leek Cemetery, where our older daughter resides, is green and red.
Wreaths, bows, bulbs, candy canes ... all the cheerful accoutrements of Christmas are there
Meanwhile, Jessica is reppin' the color purple because somebody has to.

There are not enough Cemeterys for the sims so I built one! I Celebrate my sims lives & honor them in death 😔🥺
In my Fantasy games, I have a holiday called The Veilweaver Soulstice that's inspired by Día de Muertos. It's a day to remember fallen family members & make offerings to the goddess of death(The Veilweaver).
Here's a little lore!
When Sims die it is believed their souls pass beyond the veil and during The Veilweaver Soulstice the goddess allows sims to pass back through the veil and be with their families for one night.
I don't build a lot but I'm proud of this one! nocc but lots of packs sorry! There is a regular & a holiday version on the Gallery!

photos I took on my cemetery jaunt the other day
this poor lass was only 19 when she passed
her headstone was UTTERLY beautiful, I’m so blessed to have found a tombstone bearing one of the Victorian era’s most enduring motifs: clasped hands
within the Victorian cult of mourning, the clasped hands represent hands joined together across the divided realms of life and death, hands clasped together in prayer, etc.
“I’m with you for all eternity.”
