The Cullens + Denalis going to the zoo

Carmen and Esme just wanted some quality time with their family... That's all.

Emmett and Garrett are trying to fight the polar bears while Kate and Rosalie are trying to get them to stop.

Edward is literally mumbling, “I'm the most dangerous predator here... I should be locked up with the lions”

Tayna is probably off making out with a zookeeper behind the monkey exhibit.

Esme is taking family pictures next to all the animals.

Carlisle and Eleazar are just trying to enjoy the walk and all the exhibits.

Jasper is off terrifying children by breaking into enclosure and eating a leperd.

Alice is swimming with the penguins.

Irina is throwing rocks at the wolf exhibit and almost got herself thrown out, Eleazar almost did too when he tried to get her to stop.

Emmett jumped into the lions exhibit and was reenacting the lion king.

Tayna bought animal hats for her coven to wear.

Kate shocked a child becuse he was teasing an elephant.

Emmett is pointing at a blond Monkey, “Carlisle it's you!”

Renesmee defently cond Jacob into buying all the cute little animal pulshies.

Eleazar just wanted to see the Aquarium. The girls followed. “Eleazar! I found Nemo!” Kate shouted.

“I found Dory!” Garrett yelled.

Irina is water bording Edward in the Aquarium and trying to feed him to the shark.

Emmett and Jasper got kicked out and the family members who were being decent members of society followed.

Other than that Carlisle called it a successful day.

Around 3 months later.

“Tanya?” Carmen called, her voice particularly sharp, breaking the blonde from her thoughts. “Did you hear what I said?” Tanya did not, she shook her head apologetically.

“No, sorry Carmen, zoned out.” She gave an awkward smile. Carmen raised a brow.

“That’s quite a human thing to do.” She commented, Carmen was in a mood apparently. “No matter, I’ve come to tell you that Edward will be visiting with Bella. He said they needed help.” She said, a note of concern along the calm.

“Fun.” Tanya said sarcastically. Edward was bringing Bella around, since they’re last meeting, Tanya had developed a distaste for Edward. It wasn’t his fault, his stunning wife was supposed to be hers. She could be salty if she wanted to. Carmen sighed.

“Tanya, are you alright? You and Edward used to be so close.” The concern was showing more now. Tanya took a breath, people would always assume it was because of Edward she was acting like this, not the sweet, brunette girl who liked to read. Not the one who spoke to no one but the Cullens most oftenly.

“I’m fine.” She said a bit too quickly. “Me and Edward weren’t meant to be, he has his mate.” She said the last part pinching herself. While she couldn’t feel the pain, it kept her grounded. “How long will they be here?”

“Edward didn’t say.” Carmen said carefully. “Are you sure you’re alright?”

“I’m fine Carmen.” Tanya snapped, a little more harsh than she intended. Carmen appraised her.

“Alrighty then.” Carmen said saucily.

Okay the setup is that you’re a more recent addition to the family, they don’t meet you until Edward and Bella’s wedding. And for Carmen and Eleazar they never dated in this scenario bc I’m not breaking up those cuties. She became like a sister to him over time but her kind nature convinced him there was more to the volturi 🤷‍♀️ listen I got change canon somewhere for these asks. Really the regular headcanons are the same so this is mostly the meeting parts

Tanya

She’s only there for the formality of it all. Vampirism made it hard to really let loose but mingling with humans was as close to human as she could get herself

Marrying a human? Weird Edward

She notices you while Esme is chattering about the decorations, both sides forced to pretend they can tolerate small talk

She could see you and Rosalie talking about how ridiculous this all was, you see her staring and wave. You’d heard about these “cousins” but were new enough you hadn’t had the chance to meet.

After the ceremony she decides to start a conversation, she meets you cautiously

And if you two proceed with falling for eachother it will be a slow process. Dating headcanon a are the same after

Kate

Straight up is going to ask you if you are doing the diet because you want to or because if your family

Your answer will determine if she wants to pursue you or not

If the answer is because you want to, it ends there

If it’s because of the Cullens she will keep the conversation and see if she feels a spark (see what I did there? Lol)

She wants to leave the veggie diet when she finds her mate but she has to be sure there’s more of a connection than she feels with her family, mainly Irina

Irina

Tried not to fall for you

After Laurent she is pretty guarded, and likely your relationship won’t last very long 🫢

But if you empathize with her or follow her after she wants to leave because of the wolves presence she will try and open up with you

Mainly because you feel safe

But I don’t think this would progress into an actual relationship

Maybe a few dates but she would be crushing hard and trying to deny it to herself

Unfortunately she tells you too late (at the confrontation)

Carmen

Immediately turns on her Spanish charm

Asks Carlisle if she can steal you away in front of you and tries to make you blush (you do)

Asks you if you are going to ask her to dance

I’d suggest you ask her

Again the dating isn’t going to be different just see my other headcanons

Eleazar

You’re going to have to approach the man

He’s going to be very respectful, especially as he is sure the Cullens are going to be very protective (they’re probably to busy with making sure Bella does t get another paper cut but sure)

He will ask you to dance eventually and whisper as low as he can into your ear to ask if you would want to go somewhere quieter to talk

And let me tell you 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

He will just want to get to know you actually but homeboy has this mischievous kind of charm and he will ask to see you again soon

Regular dating and then I assume he would follow wherever you would want to live

8:05 AM (Approx.) - Jacob escorts Edward, Bella, and Renesmee to the main house to await the arrival of the Denalis; Edward tells Bella about Eleazar's history with the Volturi

8:15 AM (Approx.) - The Denali's arrive; Edward exchanges pleasantries with them while Bella stays out of sight with Renesmee

8:17 AM (Approx.) - Bella presents Renesmee to the Denalis, who react with shock and horror; Edward attempts to explain

Twilight Advent: Fav Scene in book or film (Day 23):

My favourite scene/chapter in the main books is probably the Blood Type chapter since I always find it so funny to read. Edward was in his car and saw Mike dragging a paler than usual Bella across to the nurse.

"I thought I was going to have to avenge your murder" - Edward

Mike's face when Edward took Bella from him and started taking her to the nurse and left him behind.

Him getting her out of school and PE with some excuse that she's really not feeling well.

It's just funny.

My favourite chapter in the books outside the main 4 is the section on The Denalis, specifically the Sisters in the Official Illustrated Guide. I love the whole coven but in their little sections it talks a bit more about the succubus thing which I love so much. Plus I just love them. The whole coven is great and pretty unproblematic for the most part. Except for the obvious.

My favourite scene in the films is possibly when Kate gets Garrett with her powers after the whole "or your power has been exaggerated" (Garrett) "maybe it only works on the weak" (Kate). It's funny and cute. I love those two.

But it's more likely to be the training scene in Eclipse and his backstory scene. As a Jasper fan (yeah, a bit controversial I know) I love him in his element. Plus the music, cinematography and such are amazing in it. I love that we found out about his past, despite the controversy in it. We found out about how he knew all this stuff about newborns.

I also love Rosalie's backstory scene as well, as sad as it is. Great cinematography, which is something I appreciate as a film student. Plus, she's one of my favourite characters so finding out more about her and why she acts the way she does is great. Plus (again) Rosella scene!!!!!
