Mostly because they can better handle the heat

I get big brunette or black hair vibes from them

Don’t know why, but I just feel like that is a common factor between all of them

During their time at camp, they get big

Mostly because they are made to work in forge

Everyone, no matter what

Would get along well with the Athena and Poseidon cabins the best

They learn best with hands-on type learning 

I could say that they don’t get along with the Aphrodite cabin 

But I don’t think it is so cut and dry

We know they can

Take a look at Charles and Silena 

And I think there are more friendships then relationships 

But when they fight

Take cover

A lot of insults directed at appearances 

On both sides

But they don’t always allow for their parent's relationship to dictate theirs

But the Ares cabin is another story

They're civil for fear of having dessert taken away 

They are expected to provide weapons for the camp 

Which sucks 

Lots of trips to the infirmary because not everyone is immune to fire, like Leo

Makes the best booby (Haha) traps for capture the flag 

Like watch out if you are on the opposite team

I feel like they would be really into Minecraft 

Like let's just say they can have tech at camp

They would have one big world

Where they all play on

And build

I think most of the time, the cabin is a chill place 

They are chill

Not a lot of drama within the cabin

If he gets bored he makes things for you

He knows you can defend yourself, but he still likes to make little things for you to use in battle

Will find the most atrocious clothes at a store (especially thrift stores) and make them into an outfit

Will cheer you on as you show off your outfit

He cheers you on for anything tbh

Training, showing him the outfit your wearing for the day, doing well on a test, waking up, everything

Very supportive dude

He's like a heater, so he's great to cuddle with in winter, absolute WORST in summer

You have to banish him from your cabin sometimes because you'll get too hot

And Percy doesn't want to hear your complaining of being too hot in the night (he's already heard it too many times)

(Followers event) Might aswell start calling me the pjo asker, since I had my share of angst already, how about some Leo Valdez x child of Ares Reader, enemies to lovers Riordanverse and Headcannon or one shot form

Plot: Leo and reader always had a disliking towards eachother, part of it being due to their dads own dislike towards other but soon starts to like eachother s company then finally turns to lovers.

(This was rushed, sorry about that, you can ignore the plot part and get your own idea from the start)

A/N: ur now dubbed pjo asker anon — dw about me i took a break yesterday 😌✨

it was easy for leo to automatically stereotype you based on just finding out what cabin you belong to alone

he hated how loud the ares cabin was — it wasn’t like the apollo cabin where Leo could listen to its soft Melodie’s while he worked, it was loud thumps and yelling disturbing his work zone

that caused him to always be snarky and passive aggressive towards the majority of your cabin, grown some guts after going on a quest and finding out he can set things of fire

you were clarisse’s second in command always ready to defend your cabins pride at a moments notice

it was always when clarisse wasn’t around when Leo decided to pick a fight with you — saying some backhanded things about ares kids

don’t get Leo wrong, he grew out of hating all ares kids phase in the first few weeks of arriving at camp

he just started to hate you

and you had already hated him

that caused a lot of tension between the two cabins as a whole and especially got in the way whenever capture the flag was involved

it was nearly a crucial unspoken rule that the ares and hephaestus cabin never be on the same team unless you wanted to lose

until someone made the mistake of doing just that

“Oh of course, you know exactly what to do! It’s not like you’re known for your brains,” Leo taunts while you were making plans and putting on gear.

“As if you could come up with anything any better!” you retort, “The only thing you’re known for is spontaneously combusting.”

“¡Cállate, pedazo de mierda!”

“What the fuck did you say to me fuckface?!”

“Nothing, just that you’re the most pleasant person to be around!”

did you learn Spanish just because you were really tired of not understanding Leo whenever he muttered and yelled in Spanish?

that wasn’t great for Leo though since he always mutters under his breath about how it’s getting tiring always having to argue with you and hating how’s he grown to get used to and admire the face that yells back at him

“Why do you even have anything against me?” you glare, walking around Bunker 9.

“¿Por qué me acostumbraste a tu cara?” Leo mutters back fiddling with some device in his hand.

“¿Cuál fue siquiera esa frase?” you remark blandly, seeing his shoulders drop in shock.

now Leo has to be extra careful about what he says when you’re around afraid that you’ll find out about the feelings he’s deemed stupid for you

however sometimes he forgets just how many people can understand you and him when these bits of banter echo across camp

so some campers have decided to take it upon themselves to translate every single thing Leo has said about you on a piece of paper and deliver it on your pillow — there were dates and everything

it seemed to be the one thing that caused you to try have a civil conversation with Leo with him actually returning your civility

“So what was this about you saying I have a pretty face?” you remark, flipping through the packet.

“That,” Leo pauses, “That was when the lighting was extremely good that day.”

“Uh-huh, yeah. Okay,” you nod along sarcastically.

the whole thing was extremely satire since both of you had too much pride to formally apologize to each other so it came in the form of not screaming across camp at each other

it was the best time your vocal cords have had in a while

not for the rest of the campers though

the yelling was practically a common occurrence and was a part of their daily schedule at this point so the silence that should’ve been comforting was now ominous

it got to the point where they all had a makeshift meeting where they had to figure out where both of you were and make sure nothing happened

until then they saw you walking out of the forest — presumably from bunker 9 — poking fun at each other and laughing good-naturedly

and so, the Aphrodite kids won the bet against the Apollo kids and gained a shit ton of drachmas

Basim: Would act like he is chill at first and let you do whatever you want until you get comfortable. Then he would pout and nag you when you want to go without him or talk to someone until you give up doing something without him at all.

Yandere meter: 7/10

Eivor: Is not subtle at all. Demands you go with him everywhere otherwise there would be problems. If you refuse, he would just pick you up and take you anyways. Even if you don't talk or do anything together, he still wants you around him because he wants to know where you are.

Alexios: I imagine he is kind of the person who would kill anyone you go in contact with, watching closely,his rage slowly building up until ge goes in a fit and after he comes down from the rage he would act like nothing happened.

I know his belt and the spenders, but I said i didn’t want to copy the main art and I wanted to try and give them more personality. And I love jumpsuits and I love the idea that the cabins pass things down/among themselves so I love that this is just a cabin 9 jumpsuit that he is proud of. Like he wears it around the waystation and everything.

I have headcannons for his outfit down below, sorry to the Leo fans that it not a lot like I have for some of the others. It been a hot minute since I read a book Leo have been in and I am mainly on the solangelo side of the fandom. I will say I am slightly itching to make festus so we will see if that happens

Going with Nico’s bracelet adventures, he didn’t want to make Leo anything at first as he was still mad at him. but Hazel tried to convince Nico and Nico said he just got bored and made Leo something . He made Leo a keychain with those melting beads not knowing Leo can catch on fire and Will forgetting Nico doesn’t know about Leo/ Nico didn’t have a childhood that involved the melting beads. And with those two things, it melted after like an hour of Leo getting it. But Leo just think it cooler now and likes Nico made him something (he will just looks at it for periods at a time) and also he slightly find it funny as he know Nico doesn’t want to admit he wants to fix it and Leo is now trying to see how much it will melt and change in the froge. (It will eventually just melt into the jumpsuit and it will get passed down with a story)

It say “hot” but it looks like it say not and I think he would try to sew “hot” and would be like “eh good enough” and joke.

Patches are a hammer, a fire and a little festus, and the other patches are from the jump suit getting passed through through the cabin.

Headcannon time: Why does Doll speak Russian? Well, my theory was that she learned it from her mother, Yeva. Yeva was more closely monitored by humans than most drones, which gives her a higher probability of encountering a Russian human. Someone Yeva interacted with a lot (Caretaker, supervisor, ect.) Might've spoken Russian, and Yeva adapted to that in order to communicate better

Alternatively, she might've worked in Russia or a Russian colony in Copper 9 before obtaining the solver and being sent to Cabin Fever labs.

Final note for how the drones seem to effortlessly be able to communicate between languages: They have a built in, futuristic version of google translate. Their robots, after all.

Late night Merlin Headcannon #9

In the modern era, Arthur absolutely watches trashy reality tv shows with Gwen. He has been suckered into it and low key finds it interesting. They get wrapped up in fluffy blankets and drink glasses full of red wine for it.

No one else in his friend group knows. No one in his friend group will know. The moment any of them find out will be the moment they get thrown into a lake and Arthur will disappear for about a week. Arthur has a whole contingency plan planned out just in case of this, consisting of him and Gwen going out to his family's lake cabin for the week, and Gwen finds this hilarious.

Some have come close to finding out Arthur's secret (Morgana and Merlin most specifically), but no one has completely figured it out.

1. How do you feel 2022 has gone in terms of writing?

i am so excited with how 2022 had gone in terms of my writing. felt like i improved a lot and was really glad to have gotten back into it!!

2. What piece are you proudest of this year? It can be a shot/blurb/headcannon, a whole series or even a specific chapter.

you already know what i'm going to say...the dead don't die is by far my favorite...i do however hold a special place in my heart for closest to heaven i love iris and josh and YOU SHOULD TOO

3. Is there anything you posted that you wish had reached more people? (No such thing as a flop here!) Shout it out, it might catch a new pair of eyes!

oh 100% closest to heaven!! i felt like some of my best writing was put into that fic and i still do. i know it's long but it's cutie and you can read it here !

4. Can you give us a hint of anything coming before the end of the year? Maybe even a little taster?

i KNOW you're all on the edge of your seats for the Next Big Percy Project ! god i love being sarcastic ! you know what i also love being? cryptic ! no but for real, some of you already know, i've hinted at a new series coming...soon-ish(?)

5. Are you setting any writing goals for next year, or just going with the flow? If you are, what are they?

i try not to set too many goals for myself. oh my god that sounds terrible. no i just mean like...i don't want to say that i'm going to do something and then not do it...if that makes more sense. i definitely want to finish the dead don't die (if i don't finish it this year which is unlikely), and i want to work loads on the next series project and get back into the groove of writing that again since i started it before picking up the dead don't die!! also potentially another series if i finish this next one? who knows. hopefully i can squeeze in some time to write some more oneshot stuff or even expand on the sparrowverse. i have lots of ideas of ideas to do, but right now it's hard to set anything in stone :)

6. Do you have any one shots or finished pieces you’re tempted to expand on or revisit next year?

uhm really the only pieces that i would continue to expand on is the sparrowverse. hopefully maybe eventually i'll get danny's addition to the story... i don't think i'd add to the dead don't die once it's done i think that one is going to be finished when it's done

7. Is there anything new you’re tempted to try out? A new style/trope/AU/another person in the fandom?

i do not know...maybe inspiration will strike me for some danny fics...as for aus i'll probably delve into another one i won't lie to you i am not at all immune to them

8. Now to hype some other writers! What’s a piece you read back in the first half of the year that you can shout out?

oh i'm terrible at reading and remembering things...uhhhhh YOU'RE ASKING FOR HALF A YEAR AGO UHH I STARTED THIS SHIT IN APRIL UHH

hmmm i’m not sure really!! maybe any cabin fever fic universe by @hearts-hunger !! anything maddie writes is so sweet i could die

2022 Writer’s Tag.

1. How do you feel 2022 has gone in terms of writing?

Well - this year for fan fic was a first for me! I've always written stories for myself, but for whatever the reason, I was gripped with Sweet Rayne and had to put it out there. So, two big stories, I'll call it a very good year.

2. What piece are you proudest of this year? It can be a shot/blurb/headcannon, a whole series or even a specific chapter.

My favorite piece is to be found in Neapolitan: A Continuance in Part One, Violet and Jake are at a wedding and it's in Jake's POV. He's just so totally smitten, and it's the first time he tells her he's in love with her. Total fluff, but so lovely.

3. Is there anything you posted that you wish had reached more people? (No such thing as a flop here!) Shout it out, it might catch a new pair of eyes!

My Sweet Rayne. That was just so fun to write. Here can find part 1 here!

4. Can you give us a hint of anything coming before the end of the year? Maybe even a little taster?

Wouldn't you like to know. (think Jake's sexy voice here!) So, while I'm still working on A Continuance, I have been working on a piece set in the 1920's that is going to feature all the guys with original characters. The working title is Bootleggers and Wildflowers. I also have a super secret collab in the works where they are going to murder me just for whispering about it - so you don't see this!

5. Are you setting any writing goals for next year, or just going with the flow? If you are, what are they?

My goals are to finish Continuance, and the historical bit. I would like also try some blurbs. I think that may be more challenging as I seem to like to write these long assed stories!

6. Do you have any one shots or finished pieces you’re tempted to expand on or revisit next year?

I don't have any one shots, but I wouldn't mind making a revisit Jake and Rayne... see what those two are up to.

7. Is there anything new you’re tempted to try out? A new style/trope/AU/another person in the fandom?

I'm not sure. I have a lot going - a few AUs, testing the waters for more than just my muse in Jake... We'll see what happens. I'd love to try a different trope, but not sure.

8. Now to hype some other writers! What’s a piece you read back in the first half of the year that you can shout out?

So, one of my first fan fics in the fandom to read is still one of my favorites from @geminisecrets and it's Backseat Lovers

Fact:

1. Akira belonged to a clan in a Japan in the medieval age (clans were created by the emperor of that time , like Kira Clan , Kiso Clan , Kikuchi Clan , Fujiwara Clan , Kitabatake Clan , ect ) , the clan name was Yorunohoshi Clan

2. Akira had 6 older brothers ,who also were samurais. Their names were

1° katashi Akihiro Yorunohoshi (single)

2° Tadao Seiji Yorunohoshi (widower )

3° Ryozo Naoko Yorunohoshi (married)

4° Masato Katsura Yorunohoshi (married)

5° Kin Hiroaki Yorunohoshi (married)

6° Haruo Arata Yorunohoshi (married)

3. Akihiro's birthday is on January 14.

4. Akira's birthday is on November 12.

5.Akira was human before, but she became a demon.

Headcannons

With the passing of time, Drool became fond of her, even leaving her free around, And well, Akira, she got Stockholm syndrome.

5. Then Akira got pregnant by him, then Akira returns to Japan because she fell into a portal again, while Drool got angry, since he thought that she abandoned him and started to hate humanity even more.

6. When Akira returned to Japan, no one in her clan recognized her, only one of her brothers , Tadao recognized her.

7. When Akihiro was born, the clan instead of tying Akihiro to a wolf, they killed Akira, Akira's brothers for such dishonor, they made a ritual that was to kill themselves , their wives were also killed , except Tadao he was on a search for Europe , Akira's nephews and nieces and baby Akihiro were left in the Aokigahara forest to die.

8.the eldest daughter of Tadao, Tsutsuji, tried to do everything possible for her and her cousins ​​to survive, even to build a cabin near Lake Saiko.

• Her mother was a daughter of Apollo, thus making her a legacy of Apollo

- Will Solace knows how to shoot a gun.

- Nico di Angelo likes anime

- Will speaks a bit of Spanish (he used to live in Texas and had a few Spanish classes) & gets better at it from talking to Leo.

- Reyna threw the brick

- The iris cabin dyed Nico's hair like death the kid's (soul eater) for halloween and he didn't mind.

- Will has plague powers and no one can convince me otherwise. That's why he spends so much time in the infirmary, as if he had to make up for it.

- Nico & Frank play mythomagic when Hazel visits.

- Will listens to MCR & Nico likes Mitski

- Will loses his flip flops all the time so he often wears a pair that don't match

- The stoll brothers and piper are friends and create chaos

- Cabin 9 (with the help of Daedalus' laptop) made phones for everyone at camp.

- Since then, Chiron plays candy crush a little too much (he's on level 4236 and it's been two days).

Nico di Angelo (solangelo?) headcannon no one asked for

Till he was 9-10 Nico lived in 1930s/40s Europe when ballroom dances/dancing was still a normal relevant thing; and his mother was the daughter of an ambassador I think ? So hc Maria taught Bianca and Nico both how to ballroom dance, specifically the Waltz.

Now flash forward to current if not slightly older nico who has flimsy memories of his childhood and barely remembers being able to dance that well Until he jokingly asks Will to dance with him in the hades cabin one night and he just. starts leading Will in a perfect waltz? From muscle memory. and He’s confused but going with it and Will though dying from how romantic this is is like uh. Wh. Since when can you d a n c e…❓

The Hades cabin is ghost themed but like....in a cute way. Like tiny skeleton cats just wandering around. Rainbow flame torches that are somehow cute. Nico's cartoon skeleton print pajamas. The front door is like...completely encrusted with pretty jewels, every inch. A plain chalkboard wall with scribbles from the whole camp, song lyrics and doodles and cheesy sayings and campfire polaroids. Imagine a closet just filled with stuffed toys, all of dark, muted shades.

A big underground room with a tv and filled with books and spiderwebbed cutely with golden fairy lights and posters (hi will) and the floor filled with couches and bean bags (there's literally no part of the floor that's visible) to cuddle in and read . Directly leads to the massive underground library of the Athena cabin and Bunker 9 and the huge closet/dressing room of the Aphrodite cabin and Rachel's cave all that.

Imagine alive and dead pets of nico and hazel just running around. Imagine nico and hazel doing each others hair, both of them researching hair care because they love each other and it needs to be ☆perfect☆ and then doodling on each other's hands and legs with a glittery black pen for nico and a silvery one for hazel.

They have cartoon skeleton blankets for nico and geometric colourful jewel like blankets for hazel to match their pajamas but they always use each others blankets because they don't see each other a lot and miss each other and nico makes a scrapbook full of firsts with will taking a picture every time he does some 21st century stuff for the first time (his singed hair and shocked expression when he first tried to heat a lasagna was Will's personal favourite) and his first carnival and his first comic con (geek!nico y'all) and his first pride and y'all i have so many more headcannons-
