I would like to thank LHR for not having any working charging ports in terminal 5, truly the best airport in the world, no other airport can compare.

#I have been here since 10 in the morning #and I have only slept 2 hours in 2 days #bc I am awful at sleeping on flights #I was also asleep!! (which is what I wanted XD) #but then I got woken up for dinner (which I am very thankful for don't get me wrong) #it was pretty good airline ravioli in marinara sauce with a ring box of salad (about the same size and shape of an engagement ring box) #Anyway then I watched a movie while eating dinner (The Bad Guys) it was fun #and then spent the rest of the flight trying to sleep XD I did rest in that I layed motionless with my eyes closed but no sleep for me rip #Even the fact I got sleep at all js good bc Like I said unless I'm falling asleep standing up I almost never fall asleep on planes #anyway I couldn't even leave the airport bc I did not want to bother with queen funeral traffic and everything being closed #also tbh I've already been to London and done a lot of the main touristy things so eh #also may I just sat the entire airport going deathly perfectly silent for 2 minutes to honor the queen was eerie as fuck #i just have bad timing when I go to London I guess bc the last time was the royal wedding (most recent) and that was a pain and this time #it's the funeral #RIP ME #Anyway been in LHR terminal 5 since 10:00 it's 6:38 now and I've just consumed and energy drink #it's also really fucking cold? but thats a combo of the weather - the fact I ate lunch 6 hours ago-the energy dring being refrigerated #and the weather #luckily I have my second warmest coat on and it's awesome If I didn't have that I'd be fucked #time to consume some warm stuff Maybe #also none of the charging ports work at all (I have an adapter and everything) so I'm supper glad I brought my battery pack that I can use #to charge my phone that has my boarding pass on it #I have a printed one for my flight but I got it this morning/yesterday morning)

(Trans women usopp has stolen my heart I think just love women in general ) Usopp Robin and Nami have a nice self care day with just the girls. (Chopper is invited too, they can't say no to him.) They stay in the shower room, they fill the bath and run the showers on hot. They play relaxing music, Nami bought lavender shower steamers, Robin lit candles. Usopp gets sanji to make hors d'oeuvres and fancy drinks he leaves them at the bathroom door. No peeking!

Chopper brought a video transponder snail to watch a movie. Usopp does their hair she's been practicing her braiding. She gave Robin a nice Dutch braid and Nami a mermaid tail. She also curled copper's little tuff of fur on his head, in return robin has been researching how to do textured hair and gave her a French braid and afro puff combo.

While they were relaxing and talking Luffy showed up asking what they were doing? Nami scolds him for coming in knowing that they're all naked and asks why is he even here? and close the door he knows how fast Brooke and Sanji are.

Luffy explained he only came into the bathroom because he needed to poop (no manners whatsoever) and Zoro was using the other bathroom to meditate. Robin and Usopp are not really affected by his antics and just enjoy Nami yelling at him. Luffy being unfazed by her tongue lashing casually sits down and eats the treats Sanji made for them. He doesn't get why it's such a big deal. Like you're just naked, plus chopper is here and he's not a girl and he's seen usopp naked before (granted this was pre-transition but I guess his point still stands)

Robin invites him to join them but lock the door. You may be the exception but the others are not. Despite Nami's protests Luffy has already stripped and jumped in slashing every one ( imagine getting so far in his journey to become the king of the pirates only to die in bathwater). She sighed in defeat and just accepted that he's here, could be worse.

They continue what they were talking about. Nami is learning how to make hail and she made a tornado by accident of course and she's still trying to recreate it.

Usopp learned how to crossbreed one of her poison pop seeds and her thorny pop seats and made a new weapon. She's also trying to make a pleasant smelling corpse plant. She tried roses, lavender and even sage. But nothing works. Nami suggests that maybe she should use tangerines to cross breed.

Robin has been researching about a vase she found, made of wood and clay. Apparently it's from an island that is isolated from the rest of the world. Everything is handmade or out of scratch, their recipes, their clothing even their soaps. All of their food is homegrown and their meat is known as the best meat in the world.

Luffy didn't need any more convincing he got out and commanded Franky to change course to go to find this island. (Sanji and Brooke tackled Luffy demanding every juicy detail of what he saw in there.) Of course everyone had to get out and get to their stations ruining their whole little spa day. Nami was specifically pissed because she's the navigator.

I love women too <- A lesbian.

This is such a cute and adorable idea!!! I love them!!! I've always thought Nami and Robin let Usopp join their girl nights even before coming out bc they've always felt safe around her, and when she came out it wasn't really a surprise to them tbh. Their spa day looks so cozy and relaxing (until they interrupt them)!! It sounds great. They'd do this 100%. And Luffy would stay bc Luffy is Luffy and the concept of intimacy for him isn't really a thing. Plus bold of you to assume he's a man. Non-binary king, that's what he is. Also Chopper staying with them also makes sense and it's extremely cute!!! Sanji is literally dying to go in there lmfao-- Not to make this about Sanuso but I think he waits by the bathroom door like a wet dog to see his girlfriend again. He misses her! Clingy golden retriever.

Last: gameplay

I knew this game would only last a few hours or so. Still I was surprised it went on as long as it did. You do a lot and it doesn't feel empty to me at all. I'm at best a light gamer... I mean, I play the Sims... uhh... Yeah I have absolutely nothing to compare with, just saying I found this game quick but fun. And I will probably play it at least one more time to try to figure out what side quests I missed and just to enjoy the ambience. The art is really lovely and the stellar music from Sigur Ros totally makes the atmosphere.

This one I'll put under a cut

I played on Mac. It was so easy.Just space bar, A, S, D, and shift. Despite being so simple, there were lots of reminders and hints, so very friendly to kids. Sometimes though that simplicity was a con in the sense that, when the game didn't try to hold my hand through everything, it made me suspicious that I wasn't doing the right thing. The game does get more difficult as you go farther and the guidance eventually stops more or less. However these instances happened earlier and felt random.

I really loved the whimsical, highly Moomin-ish solutions to various problems. In the first problem with the spider, I remember being surprised that I was clearly meant to lob a bird at the spider instead of asking it nicely to leave. Then, lo and behold:

Heh. "I got your number, game," I thought. But then the spider was a jerk! A sweet jerk tbh. Who enjoys bullying and being bullied haha. So I had to lob the bird at it anyway.

I do find it VERY funny that this game, with its strong theme of needing each other and not only relying on your own wits, solves a lot of its puzzles by stepping on creatures or lulling them to sleep or hitting them with well-aimed birds.... It's 100% therapeutic but it's also so mean bahahahahaha. Like at first it seems like you'll solve every problem by hypnotizing people with the lovely melody of your musical instruments... But by the end even the drum is used to scare them off, and even flatten ferns! omg snufkin such violence

Trashing the Fillyjonk's house to make her come outside is a great example. This game just says "Chaos is the answer" and goes for it xP Imagine uprooting someone's flowers, breaking her statues, and dirtying her laundry, only for her to say "Oh, an invite to a play, how nice" lol. BUT! I do very much appreciate the reference to the Fillyjonk's need for a bit of chaos in her life. I wish they had stuck with that rather than fabricate a crush on the Park Keeper... anyway.

Loved playing with the band, wish that part had been longer/more involved. It was so much fun to have different instruments - I would have liked the drum to do more than just thud, but maybe the designer didn't really know much about hand drums.

Didn't understand the point of the Painter Hemulen, but possibly although I completed his side quest I may have missed another that came after. I really expected Stinky to be connected to the main story through Ninny. I thought he would be hiding Ninny's clothes with the theater costumes, but nope. Unrelated side quest.

I also really enjoyed the witty descriptors for items and quests, they made me giggle.

Ran into a handful of bugs/glitches as well. It could be because I'm on Mac, or because I'm on wifi. Idk if everyone experienced these. The biggest was jumping glitch. Several times I would just get stuck and be unable to jump no matter what I did. I'd try waiting for the indicator to appear, using different key combos, choosing the direction carefully, leaving and returning... Nothing worked, especially at Moominhouse (which I was sad we don't get to go inside) and these parts of the Hattifatteners Island:

Got stuck a couple other places too. It did eventually work, but with no rhyme or reason I could find. Path-finding also sometimes lead to getting stuck and I just had to wiggle around for a while before I could get out.

This above too about streamer mode. I literally can't read it on my screen. I had to cap it and zoom in in order to make out the type against the light color background.

However the worst glitch seems to have ruined the entire Hemulen's Butterflies side quest. I caught all three butterflies and was returning to the Hemulen when I guess I took a wrong turn and the butterflies left. Other times, when someone is following you and you go somewhere they can't follow, they will reunite with you when you come back to a good spot. But the butterflies flew away and didn't come back. I returned to catch new butterflies, but they appeared VERY rarely, and once caught glitched and disappeared. On top of that, the sound of my harmonica then vanished completely. I had to close the game and reopen, at which point I accidentally went too close to a loading screen and lost the chance to finish the quest. (I could have, if I hadn't continued onto the dam scene, but at that point I was too annoyed and kinda felt like the Hemulen will just have to get his own butterflies haha).

ETA: Realized I forgot some stuff!! So there are another couple quirks I ran into that I'm not sure if they're bugs or inevitable or what.

The first is that I completed many of the quests/side quests without meaning to. I gathered all the ingredients for all three of the Muskrat's stews before I even knew he wanted them. The game sent a message that I could increase my stamina by visiting the Muskrat's campfire, so I tried to go back to where you first meet the Muskrat and couldn't. Then it wasn't until much much later that I found him, and had to eat all three stews in one go. More importantly, that means I beat the game with the same stamina, never getting the increase until the very end (you don't even need it for the last park outside the dam because Moomintroll doesn't run).

I also found many other things just through playing naturally, which isn't itself a problem - but when I figured out what went with which quest, the game had trouble registering the quests as complete. It did eventually. But each time, I'd visit the character concerned, and they'd give an intro or a mid speech, then pause for a while and I'd start to leave before they'd finally give the complete speech. It was rather confusing. I do like the open world kind of feel and I def don't mind being able to do quest before they're introduced. But it was... nearly every single quest. I just gathered everything I saw that I was allowed to pick up. Some items DID seem as though they were hidden until you unlocked the quest. But most just appeared.

There were also several times I helped a bee or found an egg for a nest etc and nothing seemed to come of it? I'm guessing maybe there's a hidden "you rescued all the critters!" sidequest or something I didn't quite complete...

I really enjoyed the quests tho and my secret fav was "flattening the ferns with the drum" haha. I also think inspiration should go till level 10 only because maxing at 8 was too easy. Then again you def don't need it, musical prowess is irrelevant after you free Moomintroll, which is kinda sad since you spend so much time working on that skill alone.

I think that's about everything. Really loved the game (don't take my little critiques too hard!). A wonderful game for Moomin lovers and I hope many kids enjoy it too and become Moomin fans. Last here are some assorted bits and scraps I had nowhere else to put

ch102: what ive learned from this is i really like full scenes. cmon!! who doesnt!! also man the colors are really good. hatanaka really has a deceptively good character design, once again proving to be senseis blorbo

for a while i was like "how come my fav inside color pages all seem to be from recent volumes" it turns out its bc sensei only started doing full scenes for them starting at vol 10

the vol 11 one IS really good but its up against such bangers as "has principal" or "has haru" or "has seimei" sooooo

vol 10: look this one has principal and is culture fes of course its my favorite. easiest decision in my life. i think for all these categories the top 1 spot was super easy and 2-4 could all be shuffled around. it may not make me as mentally ill as the other 3 but its straight up good art i would set this as my phone screen any day

vol 13: hi this one makes me mentally ill. its so cool it has such cool imagery and its also so inscrutable. what does it all mean. why is saturn there. this one (and also all of kyoto arc tbh) makes me want a anime so bad

vol 12: you KNOW im a sucker for makuragaeshi arc aughhhh this one makes me mentally ill in a different direction from the vol 13 one. the fact he wore a blazer uniform when he was actually in high school and him wearing a gakuran in this arc. fucks me up every time

Hi, hello! 

Um, I’ve been avoiding this intro bc I am a shy awkward hermit that usually just lurks and likes stuff, but that doesn’t really work on Tumblr so here I am! Plus I wanted to use Whumptober to force myself into sharing my writing and figured it might be useful to introduce myself first.

I’m audhd (combo autistic/adhd), but I didn’t find that out until earlier this year, so I’m still very used to tiptoeing around people and holding myself back out of self-preservation. Working on that though, bc I’m tired of that shit.

*Nervous Laughter.* Ummm...I really really like the scene that visually and thematically referenced a key moment from Beauty and the Beast (1991). And that's all I'm gonna say on that. If you know, you know.

^Not really sure if this actually my favorite quote or just the one that is hitting hardest for me now. Because I just watched THAT scene from "Coronation Day" multiple times in a row and they're hitting me with all the feels right now.

Bonus: What is your favorite Elena and Esteban moment together?

Esteban's heroic sacrifice and Elena's restoring him to life with the power of Forgiveness™. The music, the writing, the voice acting, the animation (especially the animation tbh)--just everything about that sequence is *chef's kiss.*

The fact that Esteban's just chilling on the throne, but can somehow sense Elena's thwarted "blaze" spell (crystal well psychic link?) and teleports to the balcony to investigate. The fear on his face turning toward resolve just before he slams his staff to the ground to teleport in front of the grain of sand. The apology he just barely gets out before he runs out of time. The fact that the last thing he does before turning to stone is to reach out to her.

The way it takes her a moment to realize what's happening and her face cycles between confusion, horror, and finally sorrow. The way she cradles his stone face in her hands as a single tear falls slowly down her face. The quiet "I forgive you" accompanied by her curling into him and trying as best she can to embrace him.

The silver-white sparkles gradually surrounding her, transforming her dress (unrelated but white is also a very very pretty color on her in general and even prettier in this context given both the lighting and the emotional resonance). And her emotion magic spreads out and starts disintegrating the stone tablet. The way her eyes widen when she realizes that he's not gone; that her magic has saved him--just as his magic saved her.

The fact that when he emerges from his stone prison, he stumbles and ends up on his knees -just as he's fallen countless times (metaphorically and sometimes literally) over the past 45 years. Only this time she is there with hands reaching out to help him to his feet.

"Forgiveness, it's more powerful than anything I've ever felt."

Elena's emotion magic rippling out and restoring not just Esteban but everyone who has been impacted by the Shades' magic. The gray skies suddenly being replaced by bright sunlight.

Esteban grabbing Elena's scepter and being ready to throw it to her, only to have it start glowing in his hand. Elena giving him permission to use it. Esteban casting "blaze"--the first spell that Elena cast with it and the very spell she used to defeat Shuriki once and for all--to shatter Cahu's hourglass and metaphorically free himself from the Time that had trapped him for over four decades.

Elena reaching for Esteban's staff--ready to borrow his power as he had just borrowed hers in order to drag Cahu to the Spirit World. Him cautioning her not to use the scepter, because he knows its limits. The two of them agreeing to try using their powers together.

Elena literally saying "Your time is up," because even at a moment this important, she can't resist making a pun. The matching little chaotic gremlin faces just before Elena and Esteban use the staff + scepter combo and disappear off the Spirit World with Cahu.

(It was at this moment that Cahu knew she was truly, irrevocably fucked.)

Elena's test having been Esteban all all along. Esteban promising to spend the rest of his life making up for what he has done. Esteban finally handing the scepter back to Elena, only to have her jump on him and wrap her arms around him. The HUG.

Esteban finally standing back where he belongs with his family and their friends. Isa is right in front of him and we see Francisco put a hand around his grandson's shoulder as the scene fades to black.

I am FERAL over your newest fic OH MY WORD???? I love everything about it, I love tighnaris protectiveness and cleverness and his balance of not fussing too much outwardly over Cyno in this public setting but also then expertly stepping in when enough is enough! So wonderful, and when they are alone and he softens around sick Cyno I just- I melted fully. It was so fluffy and endearing 🥺

I felt like Cynos illness was captured really well too, a great example of an implied both ends situation that’s not at all graphic or uncomfy but perfectly captures what kind of sickness Cyno is dealing with. Also like, I love the concept of that combo emeto and implied because it’s truly MAXIMUM vulnerability and while Tighnari isn’t bothered (concerned im sure, but not at all bothered) this combo for Cyno PLUS the setting being so high stakes, he’s in his own personal hell. I’m honesty proud of him for asking to leave because sometimes you gotta know when to tap out 😭

I'm also proud of Cyno for recognizing when it was time to leave!! I'm not sure he would have if Tighnari weren't there. The more I write him, the more I feel that Cyno really listens to Tighnari and follows his advice/instruction/etc about important things, even when he perhaps doesn't want to. He trusts Tighnari's judgement so something would have to go really wrong for him to contradict that. Something something respect and trust and even the bravery of putting your faith in someone else idk!! They have unconditional positive regard for each other imo and I love that for them. Sorry for the rant, this triggered feelings, apparently

I've been looking at some of your stuff about your Jervis design, and I have a question! How exactly does he hypnotize his victims? Is it with his pocketwatch? Some sort of tech? A combo of both? I'd like to know!

I was thinking it's a LOT of things tbh lol.

When I draw him, he usually has his full gambit of tech, I'm picturing him like a reoccuring villain in a tv show so yknow, they always have a new idea every try, so he can do a bit of everything hypnosis wise.

primarily, he was known to hypnotize people by feigning to be a high fashion hat designer. So the hats are perfect mind control, like the 10/6 tags in btas, but his tech is a little more archaic, so it has to be a physical machine in the interior of a hat not just a microchip. And normal hypnosis, like magician hypnosis, may have been used in advertising or spreading the word at the time. Subliminal messaging and all that. He's just a master of the field in general.

You'll also notice he has a cane with red eyes too! Yes, those eyes also do something! It lets out red light, like a flashlight beam, that puts people in a trance, basically a quick way to immobilize a crowd, though they can be shaken out of it by someone else.

Starting to think that Jack has lied about pretty much everything ngl …

All the ‘rules’ of his existence haven’t really been supported by the events in the demo, like… It says that only you can see him: seems true enough. But it also says no one can touch him but ‘you’, this is followed by saying people consistently exist AROUND him. They don’t go through him, they AVOID him subconsciously. And we already know that Jack does emit some form of aura, and while it may make The Player feel Safe, Loved, and Aware of His Presence, to others it may be a deterrent- from him and from you alike.

I think that other people COULD see him- if he wanted them to. But the player’s apparent kindness makes them being the only one to see him a way to manipulate them into being closer. They are ALL he has, and if they believe him, they are all he is capable of having. Hard to leave him at home or send him off to do other things when you are the only person he can speak to. Easy to guilt. I also think other people could touch him if he wanted, he just doesn’t want to make you feel like he has someone else to spend his time and attention on.

Tbh, I don’t even believe that he is incapable of doing things you don’t want. He says that he literally CANNOT do things that you do not want him to, but nothing so far has supported this, and in fact it makes an excellent excuse should he choose to act out. “Why are you pretending to fight? I can hold you like this, so I know you must want it, why pretend??” A seemingly reasonable statement if he’s telling the truth, but if he’s lying… add that to his clear ability to project or alter your emotional state and that’s quite the combo for Mister Gaslight Gatekeep Girlboss.

The clown is Incredibly Desperate to permanently keep You, Specifically. And while he may genuinely be a generally gentle, sweet guy at heart, there’s still the underlying darkness, and I just don’t think it would be too farfetched for him to see lying to you consistently like that as a justified exception to his “no lie pls” because it’s “for the sake of making your life better! ☀️”

Leshy for the ask game?

HELL YEAH I got requests for all four Scrybes let’s go.

Favorite thing about them: I absolutely love his character as a whole. He’s a villain (and remains that way for most—if not all—of the game) but he’s still so likable just because everyone can see his genuine passion for the game he’s created. Everything he did, everything he created, every puzzle box and squeaking floorboard and hidden secret was all for the player. Inscryption the game loves the player so much—it loves them enough to trawl through the blight it’s built upon just to have even the slightest chance of looking them in the eyes and Leshy is such a good representation of that theme.

Least favorite thing about them: Again not going to say anything related to torturing the other Scrybes (even if he thought that they would eventually come around and see that it was an honor). Instead I’ll say I wish he had a full 3D model. I know it’s because he’s too damn tall but all of the other Scrybes have one (including Grimora, who is nearly the same height and has to clip through the floor to fit in that scene) but I would love to actually know what his legs look like instead of speculating based on the unclear 2D sprite. Granted I’d probably draw him with hooves anyway because it’s fun but still I’d love if he had a full body that I could import into blender to just rotate around for fun.

Favorite line: I’m not going to pick any bits from the finale because every single one of those lines hit hard, instead I’ll pick this segment

brOTP: I already talked about Leshy and Kaycee on the Kaycee post and I’m going to try and not repeat myself too much here. So instead I’ll say I like the relationship Leshy has with his subordinates just because it’s so different from the other Scrybes’ interactions with their own underlings. Magnificus and P03’s underlings both revere their Scrybe above all else, Grimora’s all live under the same roof and are therefore likely pretty close with her, but Leshy? All of his woodsmen seem like they were just… people who lived in his forest who he decided to converse with. They’re loyal to him, sure—everyone but the Woodcarver (who isn’t one of his underlings) is 100% okay with him using their visage and controlling them for the boss fights—but in a very different way. Loyal in a way of “I live in the forest with you and the forest decided to extend a hand to me in return” rather than loyal in a “put me in the torture chamber, boss!” way. I don’t know it’s just like they’re casual friends with any reverence (or lack thereof, in the Woodcarver’s case) formed organically rather than vehemently feeling like they owe anything, intentionally or not.

OTP: Trying not to repeat myself too much so I WON’T put all four Scrybes as the world’s worst polycule here. I’m pretty sure everyone here already knows that’s my #1 favorite Inscryption ship (and probably the only one tbh because I’m not really into shipping). Instead I’ll talk about Leshy and the other three Scrybes individually (keeping it short because otherwise, like usual, we’d be here a while)

Leshy x Grimora: Classic life and death motif combo. You can’t really go wrong here. Plus, if you go by sheer quantity (and quality imo) in act 1, Insect cards are by far the most abundant, implying they may be Leshy’s favorites (plus the insect that crawls across the table that Leshy occasionally stops to observe). So making Grimora into an insect card seems to show a certain level of fondness—or respect, at very least. We already know from canon that a combined blood/bones system works very well, as do beast and death cards in act 2. Plus the mental image of Grimora bringing back animals that Leshy had gotten particularly attached to by lovingly carving their epitaphs and watching as the now-skeletal rat excitedly greets his friend again is cute.

Leshy x Magnificus: This one is a little bit funny to me just because they have no hybrid cards together and Leshy goes out of his way to gouge Magnificus’s eye out. So needless to say the divorce was messy. But in a pre-old_data sense, their dynamic would probably center around their mutual love of creation. Though their own preferences clash, they’re both huge fans of having a single unified aesthetic. They don’t want each other’s card systems near the other, but the storycrafting would be fantastic. Similarly, I don’t think a magic/blood campaign would work very well without a ton of shoehorning (it would have to be something similar to the red hart wherein the # of sacrifices made that turn power up a ruby mox card) but the visuals would be nice.

Leshy x P03: This one is equally funny to me because they’re opposites in every way possible and yet they really have a lot more in common than either of them would appreciate in canon proper. I’m personally a fan of the “overgrown technology” type aesthetic (see: co-op) so from that level I can appreciate it, but also the level of hilarity that these two would bring is incredible. Learning about the semi-canonical divorce between the robot and the forest deity was a punch in the face, but the semi-canonical marriage that it implies? The two of them going in dates in either the middle of the woods (wherein P03 complains the whole time until it spots a bird mimicking the whirring of its fans) or at the factory (wherein Leshy spends the whole time asking if they can go down to the shore because he’d love to capture that thing he swore he saw poke its head out above the waves). It would be a disaster and yet the fact that they made it work speaks volumes. I’ve already talked about a blood-energy system with co-op so I’ll skip over that part but yeah I like these two.

So anyway the four of them together are a lethal combo needless to say. It doesn’t work and yet it does and then the moment it starts to work they realize they can play god and then start fistfighting each other about it. So that’s fun.

nOTP: Again, not a fan of Leshy and Kaycee in a romantic context.

Random headcanon: I didn’t get to show it in my last drawing of him (partially because it got covered up with fur) but he has tarsal spurs on the back of his leg like an insect would. What these are used for? Good question… Seeing as in insects they’re usually on the forelegs for digging or cleaning, they’re probably just vestigial on Leshy.

Unpopular opinion: Act 1 isn’t my favorite. It’s good, for sure, but I hate when people reduce Inscryption to just act 1 and then ignore the rest of the game. Maybe that’s just because I’ve been drawing art for this game and picking apart the lore for around a year now but the other acts deserve more of a spotlight too.

Song I associate with them: Can I put Lord Huron’s entire Strange Trails album here? I won’t, I’ll narrow it down to Meet Me in the Woods (though you should listen to the whole album if you want a whole album of Leshy songs. Just saying). Other than that, Dear Dictator by Saint Motel and Solar Waltz by Cosmo Sheldrake are both pretty good options.

As a bonus, I’ll put Time in a Bottle by Jim Croce—the song he references in the Finale as he plays his last game.

All told this update had a little bit of everything mod wise.

We got new melee mods for heavy builds (and arcanes for fucking everything melee style- so many of which are undoubtedly getting nerfed ASAP because they break the game open lmaooooo)

We got a whole new style of support with half the tome mods, allowing your secondary to be "pretty good" but also buff all your buds or debuff all the enemies

We got a whole new style of self buffing with the other half of tome mods with MASSIVE 60% buffs for efficiency/duration/strength available for people who accept using a lesser secondary damage wise which is definitely a fair trade for plenty of players.

We got a nice little batch of radiation mods which are hit or miss for each category BUT are universally applicable to this current content AND are useful even with the lesser side buffs for a lot of builds since they just add a combo element for free.

But for me, those 2 new ability mods stand out the most lol I'm not the most hyped by heavy attack builds, I'm not into the tome much, and the rad mods are something I immediately started using but I wasn't hyped about it

Energy Nexus is enough energy in 1 mod for a good amount of builds tbh. I can't pretend energy economy is something I worry much about in most cases, but I'm taking a second look at it which says a lot- 3 E/s isn't nothin', and having tested it on a few builds it turns out that's a pretty nice sweet spot to compliment orbs on blind rage spam like hell builds tbh. borstal boy (2000(?) film) - watching this as a teen Changed me tbh... it also definitely gave me one of my first glimpses of a bisexual character on screen... also danny dyer plays a gay sailor in this i mean??? what more could you want lol (also feel like this film is equal parts depressing and hopeful which is my ideal kinda film lol)

the simpsons - i watched this religiously as a kid (every night at 6pm on channel 4 lol) so much so that my family makes jokes that everything i know i know from the simpsons lol...

would i lie to you? (uk panel show) - i feel like this show really explains a lot of my style of humour (i've literally nearly pissed myself whilst watching this show at times lol), plus i've had a crush on david mitchell for years which like no that isn't relevant to this list but i'm including it anyway... one of my fav clips is 'lee mack's keys' (give it a search on youtube it's hilar lol)

watership down (1970s animated film, i also love the book too btw) - the animation style of the very first part of this film has literally never left me, it's like ingrained onto my brain as the most incredible thing ever! the rest of the film is also amazing, albeit brutal at times which definitely fucked me up as a kid... esp that evil rabbit (wormwort?), pretty sure i was terrified of him lol

hook (1990s film (yes i know i could look up the exact date but i'm not gonna cos i'm lazy)) - this is one of the films that i know so many quotes from & me and my family use them to each other all the time lol (you're doing it peter! gayle (youtube comedy series) - it's embarrassing how much i think about this series & i literally rewatch it at least once every year so... i feel like that says a lot about me... idk WHAT exactly it says but it is.. it's a lot lol

i'm a cyborg but that's ok (2008(??) film) - if you asked me what my favourite park chanwook film is, you'd probs guess i'd pick the handmaiden, but you'd be so so so wrong, because THIS film is an absolute masterpiece that hasn't left me since my sister showed it to me like 10 years ago lol... it's about mental illness and stigma and grief and love and also rain (the singer) yodels in it whilst flying through the air it's great

labyrinth (1986 film (hey i actually remembered the date lol!) - i'm been thinking for ages what final thing to include and realised it had been staring me in the face: labyrinth, literally my favourite film of all time lol! it's equal amounts comedic, creepy, emotional, plus david bowie is there in ALL his glory (some may say too much glory but i'd tell them to shut their goddamn mouths lol)! the songs are amazing, the ballroom scene literally shaped who i am now.. it's a film about adolescence, siblings, it's about friendship and found family, it's about growing up but also keeping your childhood close at heart, should you need it... it's also about david bowie's bul- *gunshot*

hello may i ask what inspire your fic ideas

ohhhh what a great question bc the answer is anything and everything tbh. song lyrics, tumblr posts, every day experiences, movies & tv, etc. whatever ya know. but lemme go through my published fics as examples:

right side & fall fic were both inspired by my personal wants/needs/aspirations at the time!! for right side i desperately needed a haircut (and wanted some domestic intimacy. maybe. whos to say) AND was trying to apply to beauty schools so. the thought was in my brain. and fall fic - i really really wanted to go to a corn maze SKSKSLSKWL (and then i Did)

he said baby and the birthday fic were both inspired by song lyrics - "kingston" by faye webster and "you are in love" by taylor swift respectively. the birthday fic is a song fic, so it follows all the lyrics as if it were the song itself, and hsb is just inspired by the line it took as its title! (hsb is also inspired in part by an eioyi video in which tommy calls spencer a bunch of very cute nicknames which just made me think gay thoughts so you know)

rwylm and the bed sharing fic were both (in a way) prompted by people on here! the bed sharing fic was like an actual full prompt in which someone asked specifically for amangela bed sharing. rwylm was more someone said "haha time loop au... jk unless?" into my inbox and i RAN with it at full speeds

the last two are kind of unique!! haunted house was a combo of a prompt (from stella my very dear pal) and a video (the haunted house video that spencer literally had no part in but tommy did so yk the brain worms took hold anyway). and sunflower. look i really wanted that spiderman au. i heard "karma" by taylor swift and knew what needed to be done

anyway! i hope that was helpful at all. if youre looking for insp i cannot highly recommend everyday life enough. romanticize the fuck out of your trip to the grocery store. think about how nice it'd be to do laundry WITH someone and then write about it. take that book you had to read for eighth grade english and turn it into an au. thats where 90% of my brain power comes from all the time
