what is your honest opinion of Bigger Than the whole sky being about a miscarriage? Do you have a take on all the easter eggs?

Here's my stance with both these things; I am a new 'swiftie' I guess - I've been around since Red but never engaged in anything about Taylor ever except buying her music and listening to her music.

So out of respect for OG swifties I don't really participate in the easter egg game because I don't have the history to make connections, even doing deep dives like I have so much of the lore surrounding her was something I legitimately did not pay attention to so I have zero context for it. Also and this is my biggest ??? - Taylor never actually confirms that many easter eggs so how do people know they're right unless she likes a tweet or something? And because she doesn't do that often, it means fans run wild with 'easter eggs' and there's zero control over it, zero control over what is real and what isn't and even less confirmation. To me the easter egg thing is just pure chaos, unless she explicitly asks people to look out for them, like she did in her interview last night with Jimmy Fallon in her Bejeweled MV, I don't participate because I have zero idea if its factual or if people are just trying to math in an outrageous way.

As for Bigger Than The Whole Sky - the same logic applies except this one falls more on a moral code than anything else. Its outrageous to associate something like this to her when she has explicitly never once spoken about her sex life. She has spoken openly about her dating life, but that's different - its also a gross interruption into her personal life - a life that she has spent almost an entire decade hiding out because people dragged her so drastically through the mud for literally everything she did, said, wore, went, who she was with, who she wasn't with. I feel that when fans project their wants and desires onto Taylor they actively ignore that she literally disappeared for a year and has since spent majority of her life off social media to avoid being talked about.

The other side of this is I have no context for her personal life. I have memories about her dating life being splashed all through the media but I had no idea she actually dated Harry (did they even date? I dont know), absolutely zero idea that she was apparently with Jake. Joe Jonas i only remember because of what she said on Ellen. Taylor Lautner? I remember them kissing in that movie and that's about it. The only person I actively recall her dating publicly was Calvin. The only thing I know about Tom is that shirt her wore with her initials which i didn't even fully notice because I was more surprised that she was friends with Blake and Ryan, which I had zero idea of.

So all the fodder about her personal life is literally in one ear out the other because I have no context which means I have nothing to ground it to. Its almost all speculation because she confirms nothing and I am fine with it being what ever it is. But I dont really like to participate in the narrative of WHO the songs are about. Which I know doesn't make sense because she invites that conversation, I just don't care to tie her music to one person, i think it takes away from the experience of listening to her music and connecting it to what YOU want. But i've said this before....I dont listen to Taylor's music the right way so my take is just going to be different.

In which there’s a small Demon!Rire Angel!Rire comparison.

😇 The lore of Angel!Rire is essentially:

Possibly rogue angel that kills people under word of God.

Word of God being debatable because his criteria for killing people changes a lot - (eg: might kill a bad person cos they’re “bad”, similarly will kill a good person to get them to heaven faster, similarly will just “mercy” kill whoever because humans are a plague to themselves and others etc) - EITHER WAY no one seems to be stopping him.

Also debatable is whether he believes in his justifications for his actions or if he’s just doing it for fun and purposely smoke-screening that fact.

I have described their main similarity before as deception since they both seem viable (as a normal human / normal angel) at first. Their main personality difference is that their modus operandi is flipped - Demon!Rire will often see how long he can con someone, but will eventually reveal his true nature and will match what he says with it. Angel!Rire is more blunt and will reveal his true nature almost immediately, but will continue saying things in complete antithesis to that reveal thus masking the reality of his intentions.

I do know what OCTs are! But I probably would never join one due to lack of time. They seem to be very large commitments and i’d be better off trying to find that time to do BP :V

There is no set location for BTD (considering that me, Gato and EP all come from diff countries LOL)...other than maybe “Earth” and “some city/town place that predominately speaks English”.

This is, actually, one of the more popular questions I get asked over time about Rire XD; Which makes me think I need to update my FAQ to include it. Anyway in my FAQ i put it like this:

CAN RIRE FEEL LOVE? I don’t know if you could classify what he feels as “love” in the same definition we are used to…

And from other answers to similar qs:

IF he becomes fond of someone for whatever reason, he will probably become more possessive. His methodology might not change so much, but there would be more aftercare (cos if you want someone to last longer...)

I never go any more in depth when answering these kinda qs even though i’m sure people would like me to XD

At first I was going to say “I don’t know Depeche Mode”, but when i looked them up on Youtube i saw “Just can’t get enough” and was like OH I KNOW THESE SONGS.

As for Rire it’s not super in line with his usual, but I don’t think he’d mind the music!

He’s gotten used to moving between different climates quickly so it doesn’t really affect him as much.

i think he has a young-sounding voice, like even as he gets older his voice doesn't really give away how old he is

he'll, like, use a lot of, um, filler words? and, ya know, sort of just speak in a way that, like, really makes you question if he knows what the fuck he's saying.

the only point of comparison i can think of is ira glass, though his tone is a little more fox leaning

real talk, he sounds kind of faggy lol

he's kind of self-conscious of his voice, so when he does become fox, he makes a lot of changes to the way he speaks so that it's more practiced and considered. obviously slips up when he has the chance to though <3

very breathy sounding, which goes with slow quiet of it

they have to...um, really annunciate to put...tone and meaning behind their voiceee, otherwise they kind of just...sound...a little detached...a little spacy...yeah...okay...

they sound like they're not listening to anything anyone is saying, and the fact they look so out of it most of the time (even without the drugs, their gaze is super spacy) doesn't help either

like almost the gentle, offputting kind of quiet of paul dano in prisoners but. lower.

they um and er a lot too, like, um, yeah...okay, uh, for sure...

there's a lot of power behind their voice though. like, they make themselves seem gentler and smaller most of the time, but in the case of being angry, it can really climb up in volume and intention

so you better listen to them when they're being nice and quiet...

obviously has a noticeable german accent, albeit not a super thick one. it's there.

doesn't have the best grip on english slang and does the bilingual thing where he'll be like "ah...what is the word for-" when he's having a scatterbrained moment

doesn't um or er that much though, he'll confidently say the wrong thing and get corrected on it (or not)

he'll talk in a way that is really really direct, but, ahm, kind of lilt towards the end, making everything sound like a question? and then, ah, spreche-SPEAK very knowingly, right?

a pretty medium-range voice, not super low or that demanding of attention in his regular tone. people want to listen to him because he's a friendly guy!

kind of like the original singer of oomph! hehehehe, pretty regular tone, definitely a fast talker too

laughs a lot <3 has a nice warm chuckle when he's in polite company, and he's like the best person to laugh at bad jokes

very good at keeping up appearances <333 he's a manipulative faker who looks and sounds totally normal in his rich neighborhood

and obviously can push his voice down to a growled threat or a shout, which makes his accent sound a lot thicker <3

Purgatory was made for foul play. It was made for toxic relationships and constant inconveniences. They split all the love interests, best friends, siblings, and lovers apart from each other simply to get them to fight each other, for god’s sake.

They even have a fucking inconvenience wheel to challenge the players even though simply surviving is already challenging enough. Blazing sun? You better have brought an umbrella, oh and also it drains your thirst by 200% if you didn’t know. It’s just inconvenience after inconvenience and of course it’s unfair but that doesn’t matter to the fucking purgatory entity eye thing. That’s exactly what it wants. For everything to be unfair.

That’s why it added the whole cursed team rule, too. So it’s based on luck and there’s nothing they can do but deal with it, so it’s unfair. So there’s almost no perfect outcome, no matter who wins.

Eggs will be left behind, but there’s nothing they can do about it. People will grow apart, betrayal will occur, grudges will be held. But that’s just how it goes. That’s just the outcome the purgatory entity wants, and they just have to deal with it.

It’s so fucking unfair, to everybody, but in the end there is no perfect outcome for everyone, even if the cursed team wins. And everyone, the fans, the players, (who are much more attached to the eggs and the qsmp as a whole, btw) just have to deal with that.

that said, everybody please have good sportsmanship towards this event, as philza says, it is just block game. it is never that deep. please do not send hate towards others over this event, especially towards the content creators.

Also if I sound happy about this I am not I am still delusional about all the eggs coming back unharmed and everyone having a happy ending. I can dream okay

This might sound weird, but I really like hearing people's thoughts on a/b/o and their world buildings about it. I just think it's so cool that so many people can have such wildly different interpretations on it to fit what they want!

Is there an aspect of your own a/b/o au that your particularly proud of? Or that you would want to explore more in depth than you've been able to so far?

It’s not weird at all! I love seeing what authors choose to use or leave out when building their worlds. Every one is so unique.

I really like how far I’ve been able to dig into pack bonds and pack dynamics in this series. I don’t see a lot of that in fics these days, which is a shame. Having those platonic but equally strong bonds between multiple people is so fascinating to me.

I’m also proud of how much detail I’ve been able to give to beta dynamics in my fics. I always feel bad when they get left out as alphas and omegas get the cool/angsty instincts and characteristics. Building up Alfred to have his own commands, instincts, etc has been so exciting for me.

One thing I want to touch on more than I’ve teased a little bit about is how pack structure can function as a legal entity, or used to in some societies. The idea of modern societies pulling away from pack structures in search of a nuclear family unit is so fascinating to me. Because those instincts don’t go away! But the omegaphobia and tiered system remain, while you’re pulling away all of the connective tissue that negates them.

The lineup 💪 (about half my Ninjago ocs, as of dragons rising) from left to right, Two-Worlds (she/her), Chloe (she/her), Alcyo (he/him), and Elapis (he/they).

a lil more abt them vv

Two-Worlds is a hent (speculative etymological ninjagan term for amphicyonids, aka bear-dogs… google em, they’re pretty cool and not extinct in the Ninjago universe in my mind palace/hc zone) hailing from my friend’s fan-realm called Creatura. She’s not actually supposed to be in a humanoid form, it was artificially induced via magic. Her true form is much larger and much more quadrupedal like other creaturans (who just look like oversized, strangely colored but otherwise normal animals). She prefers this form though because she was raised in Ninjago around exclusively humans and got some body dysmorphia out of it… and as for why she’s a cowboy, it’s because she felt like it. She’s been wandering the merged lands searching for her scattered friends and family.

Chloe is a Fangpyre serpentine, and she looks pretty lizard-y because for some reason Fangpyre are more monitor lizard-ish than snake-ish in my head. She’s got special interests in pop culture and history, particularly human pop culture and ways in which human and serpentine history interact. Girlie is like a walking archive. Since the merge she’s been wanting to digitize and transcribe what remains of non-digitized archives and libraries, as the merge has made her all the more aware of how often natural disasters can destroy physical/recorded history. She’s pretty thrilled that Lloyd’s letting her digitize/transcribe scrolls in the monastery.

Alcyo is a master of an element i Made The Fuck Up for fun: mist. It’s a running gag that ppl (including him way back when) hear there’s elements of smoke and mist and go “…what’s the difference?” lmao. He’s no fighter, but still wanted help/training to use his element, and that’s how he knew Ash. He’s a geosciences guy like me and has been freaking out over . Well. Everything (lol he inspired that post) since the merge. He’s been getting together with ppl like him from across the merged realms (that is, geosci, eco, etc ppl who are as alarmed as he is) in order to document all the shit going on with the planet now as well as try to plan remediation efforts. I imagine governments have been a bit hesitant to work with a rogue group of jittery sleep deprived scientists but they (Alcyo’s ppl) try. I imagine they are the ones making the new maps and shit like that as well. He just wants to go back to his old day jobs and see Ash again. Sorry buddy, you can only have one of those back lmao

Elapis is a hypnobrai who’s been friends with Chloe since childhood. They’re significantly more jaded and pessimistic than she is but they’ve always appreciated her encouragement to pursue music. He probably knows how to play quite a few instruments but he’s usually That Asshole With A Guitar in my brain lmao. He likes learning about other peoples as much as Chloe does though (albeit through music scenes rather than reading) which is why the two became friends. He doesn’t know where she’s gone since the merge and hopes he can see her again one day. He’s found her siblings but not her, and it’s been pretty frustrating. Other than that, they’ve passed the time by jamming with all sorts of people at the Crossroads. Arin and Sora might have seen them around, performing.

"Ah-"

You gasped as Ren stepped closer to you, your trembling fingers dropping from your new collar as your wide eyes met his.

His fox ears were flat on top of his head, and his tail only twitched with the occasional swish, to and fro, almost…like he was nervous about your reaction. He was preparing for the worst, it seemed, evident by how he clutched your collar's remote control so tightly, his claws marking the plastic, ready to shock you again if he needed to.

It was probably a surprise for him when you smiled then, albeit a little nervously (you had just been shocked for no reason), and nodded your head, demurely and submissively.

"Mmhmm...I'll be good," You said softly, your hands relaxing in your lap as the nerves in your smile settled and became more genuine. "You...don't have to worry about that. I'll be good."

Your words were enough for Ren to exhale a breath of relief, his furrowed features easing up as he seemed to relax. The grip on the collar's remote control lessened, too, though it stayed out, like it was a silent threat for you not to push him too far. 

You knew that if he sensed even a flicker of doubt from you, it would be enough to earn another shock, so...you had to be sure you were honest with him.

"Good," He said softly. "That's...really good. That’s a relief. You're already behaving..."

"Mm…" 

A (not wholly unwelcome) flush came to your cheeks as he took another step closer, his diminutive frame a little imposing while you were still sitting in the armchair. 

Although, the flush to your face was enough to earn a small, amused (and almost fond) huff from Ren, his tail twitching about, but in a different way than before. This time, the appendage shifted about in a way that, for better or for worse, was a clear sign that he was relaxing around you, and he was happy about it.

"Good girl," He breathed out with an indulgent smile, showing the sharp points of his fangs and his cannibal teeth. "You really are..a good, good girl aren’t you?."

"Huh?" You let out an unsteady breath as your eyes quickly went down coyly, your fingers curling a little tighter in your lap. "I'm...mm..."

Ren’s chest began to rise and fall with heavier breaths as he pressed even closer to you, the hand not holding the controller reaching up and giving you a slow pet, fingers curling into your hair and rubbing at your scalp.

The words he said next, when spoken, were said slowly and gently. 

"You're...already responding so well to me. It's almost like...you like this, or something. Like you want it."

"Ah..." You sighed as he climbed onto the armchair with you, perching himself in your lap (his small frame made him quite light) as his tail wagged a little more erratically and the remote control was finally tucked back into his jacket pocket. "Mm...mmhmm." You nodded shyly.

"You like it." He murmured with a big smile clear in his voice, shifting his position so that he was almost curled up on your lap, like he was the pet (and not you). He then reached up with both hands, his fingertips resting against the sides of your face, almost cradling it like he was holding something truly precious. "Look at me," He instructed, softly, but without any room for argument. 

The way his fingers traced your delicate features, the ways his eyes roamed, suggested that you would be better off doing as he said.

"Mm..."

You keened into his touch a little, not put off by the threat of claws trailing down your skin, moving in and pressing your body a little closer to his. You knew this was bad, you knew you shouldn't like this, crave it, but...

"Good girl."

When your body moved closer to his, your chest pressed to his sternum, Ren only grinned, his fingers curling down into and around your flushed cheeks, a little stronger.

“You really like it. You like me, too…right?”

His golden eyes roamed a little more, the young man seemingly intent on staring at your mouth, your body, your trembling thighs pressing together underneath him, as much as he was your eyes.

"Yes..." You mumbled softly with another demure nod. "I do, I do like you. A-And you don't have to worry about me being bad, or misbehaving...and you don't have to take my collar off, either, if you don't want to..."

Ren breathed out again, a little shakily, his fingers shifting to your hair, toying with the light strands with a gentle touch until they were a tangled mess. You had a sense that he would grow to enjoy messing you up even more later.

"I don't think I want to take the collar off at all," He muttered, a small growl in the back of his throat threatening to spill out and show off his true intentions with you. "You're just...such a good girl, you don't..."

Ren then went silent again, his gaze lowering to those lips he so eagerly wanted to touch.

"I...I don't?" You murmured, wanting him to finish.

"You don’t even want me to take off the collar..." He continued lowly, leaning in ever so slightly, his breath warm and heavy on your parted lips. "You..."

Ren's hands dropped from your hair and rested on your hips, his eyes closing for a moment to savour how close he was to you.

"You love this, don't you? You need it."

"Mmhmm," You nodded, blushing a little more at your outright honesty, and keening in and pressing your forehead to his, overlapping his hands on your hips with your own (in spite of how much they were trembling). "I love this...I could love you, too, if you want me to..."

"I want you to," He breathed out, the words spoken in a hushed murmur even though they came out so quickly, and staring at you intently, his irises blown wide with…something.

"Tell me you love me. Tell me, tell me."

"I love you," You said again, obediently, letting out a shuddering breath as the hands on your hips reached up your skirt and felt the lines of your panties. "I love you, I love you..."

"Good girl," He growled, his breathing ragged and his gaze that of a starving animal about to jump on its prey. "Very…very good...."

Ren's body shifted on top of yours as he lowered his face. 

You knew what he was trying to position himself for, and so...you had two choices.

To let him do it.

Or to stop him.

And for whatever reason, you didn't stop him as he closed the gap between you and kissed you.

Ren kissed you, his lips against yours with a firmness that suggested hunger, a desire to consume as much as he could.

His hands slipped onto the back of your neck, fingers tangled into the strands of your hair, and there he stayed, his mouth on yours, his eyes closed...kissing you as if he were trying to make up for lost time.

Ren let out a soft, almost helpless-sounding moan, his hips pushing against yours as the tension built in both your bodies and your hips rocked together. His hands tightened on your hair, claws digging into your scalp (it’s almost painful, but not quite), his lips pressing against yours with even more force, and for a moment, it was almost as if every other sense was drowned out by him.

There was just Ren and you. 

Nothing and no one else.

And when he broke for breath, his lips wet and panting as he breathed heavily, he only panted out; 

"I love you..."

I think it’s a shame that “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog” is the best known pangram. It’s both rather inefficient as pangrams go (35 letters) and not particularly creative to make up for it.

Consider this pangrammatic autogram for example: “This pangram contains four As, one B, two Cs, one D, thirty Es, six Fs, five Gs, seven Hs, eleven Is, one J, one K, two Ls, two Ms, eighteen Ns, fifteen Os, two Ps, one Q, five Rs, twenty-seven Ss, eighteen Ts, two Us, seven Vs, eight Ws, two Xs, three Ys, & one Z.” Which is massively inefficient of course, but creative enough to make up for that.

I do really like the tumblr-famous pangram “Sphinx of black quartz, judge my vow” but not quite as much as “waltz, bad nymph, for quick jigs vex” (both of which are more efficient than the more famous jumping fox).

There aren’t known perfect pangrams in English that don’t have some glaring defect. Sure there’s “Mr Jock, TV quiz PhD, bags few lynx” which doesn’t make sense as a sentence and uses abbreviations, and “Cwm fjord bank glyphs vext quiz” which is frankly too arcane and only makes sense if you really squint.

But!

There is a famous perfect pangram in Japanese. *And* it’s a really pretty Buddhist poem too. There are a few caveats like the first record of its existence comes from 1079 and so it has some obsolete and historical hiragana and there have been phonological changes over time etc. but check it out, it’s really neat: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iroha
