First-Impression thoughts on Hazbin Hotel's "official" first ep, now that I checked it out on YT-

*Spoiler warning below for those who didn't see it yet-*

-Great to see Charlie & Vaggie again, still a wholesome lil supportive pair whilst having their own quirks/things to do on the side. Esp with Vaggie spending the whole time back at the hotel reshooting a whole commercial for Charlie's sake, awww :3

-Pleasantly surprised by the twist of Charlie's mom being the figure she was most inspired by to make her dream come true, along with her love for singing. Curious to see where Lilith's whereabouts could be if she's been away for so long?

-The new voices were... a mixed bag, I suppose? Mainly in the line/tone-deliveries for certain characters (& I guess I'm still moreso used to the OG pilot's portrayals lol), but I can see the good attempts made from those like Charlie & Alastor.

-I... don't know how I feel about the way Lucifer's backstory was handled? Like, yeah its interesting hearing of him & Lilith genuinely connecting over their "rebellious" natures (& thus fleeing from Heaven's wrath/staying in Hell to be together). But then, the whole thing with Lucifer apparently being some "doofy, misunderstood dreamer who only wanted the best for Humanity, got bullied by those mean ol' angels, and didn't meaaaan to spread Sin all across Earth~ 🥺🥺" ...ehhhhh, felt kinda lame imho 🤷‍♀️. Not that I mind giving nuanced/sympathetic angles to a character's development now & then... but with someone like Lucifer (who mind you, is meant to represent the "Ring of Pride" on top of his Hell-ruling duties), I guess I kinda expected more... "bite" to his portrayal, I guess? .3. But idk, maybe that's just me... (*Tho admittedly, one could argue that perhaps he and/or Lilith were simply lying in that storybook to make them look less "bad"... idk, given HB's track record with Stolas' writing and since both shows are made by the same people... part of me can't help having my doubts ^^; *)

-Adam... ooooooh boi .x.;; Ever since I saw his leaked design I've always been rather... "mixed" about him, and now seeing him on-screen & talking I... don't really get the concept behind him? I mean, yeah I'm all for a fun, chaotic-jackass type when done right (hell I still consider Blitz among my faves to this day lol). But with Adam apparently being the big leader behind Heaven's army, AND was even the "original" Adam from biblical times... how tf did he get the chance to be allowed in Heaven if he not only helped curse humanity to sin (aka: sharing Forbidden Fruit with Eve), but on top of him currently being a horny, misogynistic loudmouth? 🤨Discounting that is also the fact that his whole design vibe just... doesn't really give me "holy army leader" vibes, but more-or-less just Blitz in some weird angel cosplay lol 🤷‍♀️. No shade to those who genuinely do like Adam though (and I'll admit his song was surprisingly catchy lol), I just... feel like his whole personality/design vibe could've probably fit better to a fallen angel-type character (or even a demon-angel hybrid if you wanna play more into the Heaven vs. Hell conflict), someone who only takes up the "Adam" title as an ego trip to enact his revenge against Hell... or, something like that idk; my brain's tired lol. (*His sidekick Lute seems pretty cool tho, she kinda reminds me of Tempest Shadow from MLP in a way .3.*)

-Nice to see more of the old Hotel gang again, esp those like Nifty she was a cute :3 (her whole reaction to the camera honestly being a whole mood lol)

-Did not expect to see Brandon Rogers pop up voicing Katie Killjoy of all people, buuuut I guess I can see the amusing comparison potential to that one CEO persona of his lol

....Aaaaaand yep, that's about the gist of my first-impression thoughts atm .3. Dunno if I'll be sitting down to watch the whole season of Amazon's Hazbin atm (*'cause like, I do have Amazon Prime, buuuuut I rarely ever use that to watch shows (save for some classic cartoons here & there lol) .w.; *), but I'd say it was still generally a decent watch for what it is imo👍(+any chance to see my girl Vaggie again, the better~ x3💜)

like i GET the impulse to be Part Of The Club and ig a couple pieces of official merch have At Times caught my eye. a few have made me deranged obsessed unwell. I DID make that extremely silly art trade with this furry i met online where i drew its fursona in exchange for a code for bluesky which i ended up using like twice and the chance to buy a years old yet unworn Very Cool destiny sweatshirt off them. i was Besotted since that particular merch drop Dropped because it DOESN'T scream to the four winds that it's A Game Merch but instead it all had the First Light Lunar Installation logo.... stealth nerd apparel my beloved. i don't wanna look like a fan of the thing i wanna look like someone IN or FROM the thing. designers of shit like that you get it. i love you. i would've gone for the boots too on either that or the Europa drop if i'd had disposable income at the time.

BUT. UHH. if i ever found myself or a close loved one filling shelf after shelf & maybe getting a whole dedicated piece of light-up furniture for like. Licensed Merch perhaps even Still In Its Box & Meant To Remain There i'd just. i'd want piglet to pull the trigger yknow? lmao

and like i FULLY GET the impulse to collect shit. gathering Trinkets and Thingamabobs and Tchotchkes is the absolute shit. minimalism be damned magpie swag is hot & sexy etc whatever

but WHY.... THE HELL.... would someone choose to collect samey mass produced shit when fanmade merch sometimes even HANDMADE is fucking RIGHT THERE ?????

and the folx who collect Funko Shit tend to have -10000 sense of visual harmony & taste. they just throw all the shit together and expect that bc fellow nolifers know how much it costs how long delivery takes how limited the runs are they'll be impressed but i just. gag. even when each individual thing is a nice & well made figurine or charm or pin or whatever instead of pukeworthy to begin with & only lent value through Licensing the way it happens w actual funkos..... it looks sososososo ugly just thrown together like that.

whatever. it's not Bad it just Deeply Offends my sense of aesthetics. if i'm gonna spend money on silly vidyagaem / generally geeky stuff i want it to approximate the look of something that came From Within The Thing's Fictional Universe. & not just give "Worthless-Until-Licensed Plastic Garbage To Make Money Off The Thing" vibes.

i'd rather have like. a tiny handful of things that were made with love for both the inspiration and the craft. that feel good as hell to hold or use or look at. that would only get clocked as Nerd Shit by someone who's been in the trenches & has crawled exactly as deep inside the creators' asshole as you have....... than a whole spare room's worth of things designed by an overworked underpaid intern to fulfill the collectibles quota or w/e. but that's just me!!

this goes for tattoos too. every time i see someone get a TRADEMARKED LOGO ETCHED DIRECTLY INTO THEIR INTEGUMENTARY SYSTEM i projectile vomit inside ✨💖👌

this Grievance is Especially Silly coming from ME like. my living space objectively looks (& functions) like shit. these ppl showing off their Nerd Caves tend to At Least have like. Real Indoors Finishes And Furnishings instead of unsealed concrete nonsense and Insect Condos masquerading as walls. but. yeagh i like to imagine that if i lived in an apartment that was Made & Meant To Be An Apartment (instead of a halfassed halfconverted storage area / outdoor garage...) & had a moderate budget for decoration (???? fucking bougie propaganda brainrot 2 even think abt that in my situation lmfaooooo). i'd make Slightly More Tasteful Choices.

anyway I wanna finish the show first (n we only have like 5 eps left!!) before deep diving into my Thoughts but I will say. I wish they’d given more thought to how the soul/lack thereof works with vampirism. this got rly long so have a read more

bc sometimes it’s like, no a vampire is just a human shell for a demon! (which is what they usually SAY, and what is shown most clearly w angel/angelus. especially when he has his soul and references the demon still inside him at least once that I can clearly recall - when they use that demon to kill the bad guy in that one halloween episode)

but sometimes it’s like, no it’s the same person as when they were human, they just lack humanity. (which iirc is never actually said, but imo VERY frequently implied with spike. esp now that I’ve seen the ep where he changes his mom to try and save her & she’s awful to him, and he’s viscerally disturbed by it. like, that’s still his mom to him. he still cared about her and wanted to help her. even tho he’s not william anymore, just a demon wearing his skin? make it make sense!!)

(the vampire version of his mom even SAYS he’s the same and always will be!!! like!!! is he just a special case bc he was THAT sensitive as a human lmfao help!!!)

it raises a lot of questions abt what makes a person themselves that I don’t think they quite took into consideration continuity-wise? like they SAY the demon can have the same mannerisms and memories as the person, but it’s still not the person they were. that’s a very frequently-made point when buffy is coming to terms w the fact that she’ll have to kill angelus.

so ok then, what makes the person. a functioning conscience? if the ~soul~ makes them who they are, what makes the demon NOT-them, besides that conscience? they have the same body, same memories, and (occasionally) elements of the same personality.

it just feels like fraught logic used to make the angel/angelus distinction very strict, but isn’t really applied to spike beyond the initial whiplash of seeing his human self vs who he is now. angelus couldn’t love someone but angel could, because he has a soul. so why can spike love people?? even if poorly? my first impression of him was that he was super devoted and loyal to dru!! what does it mean!!

and further! I find it really hard to believe spike did all the good things he did (as a demony vampire! sans soul!) exclusively bc of the chip. the chip prevented him from hurting people, it didn’t force him to help people. it’s rly how he is around dawn that sends this home for me bc yeah, buffy would’ve hated him if he put dawn in danger. but idk man! I don’t think a soulless demon’s hots for her inherently overrides his desire to not be tortured and killed by glory! and he continues to look after dawn even when buffy is dead!! why bother if the “reason” you’re being good isn’t even around to “reward” you for it!! idk!!! and that’s just ONE example like……please help

(I don’t want to talk about the Fuck Shit bc I was more than a little traumatized but idk. why would a soulless demon go out of his way, through much trial and torture, to get his soul back? genuinely I don’t understand how all this fits in. if humanity is something that can be learned and practiced, as it seemed to be with spike at the time, what is it about a soul that changes you so drastically? that then you innately have a conscience rather than one you have to actively choose to develop? these are not rhetorical Qs I’m truly not understanding the whole deal AND why a soulless demon would want to get his soul back. if he was so evilbad and incapable of love. which they imply is due to the soullessness. hello)

anyway I didn’t mean for this to become spike propaganda but he is unfortunately the reason I can’t rly grasp the show’s concept of the soul re: vampires. I know the real answer is that they just didn’t think it through (as a video game player and show watcher and book reader I am aware that this is USUALLY the answer) but!!! it fucking plagues me

Okay I definitely have more than just like ... “a few” because I have a lot of love in my heart just like Molly SO bear with me

My first EVER big Molly ship was Molly and Alastor. Honestly, never expected it, but it’s still one of my big comfort ships.

They both share similar time periods and love for old fashioned things! While, yes, Molly is a very promiscuous girl, she is still A CLASSY LADY! And it’s really funny the juxtaposition between her and Angel from his first impressions. Esp like in regards w Toxic’s Vox which I usually default to. Like ... I LOVE me a good bastardization arc, okay.

I love Molly slowly (well it was a slippery slope and she took a sled lets be real-) indulging into greed and sadism. Not caring at all for the destruction, loss of innocent lives and tortured people ... She doesn’t care. She cares about what she can get and what makes her and Vox happy.

Molly’s growing selfishness and getting lost in her devotion and love to Vox, and in turn Vox growing soft on this bubbly, bright, pink spider? It tickles me it DOES

I love a ship where the big scary powerful mfer is soft and tender to their partner and NO ONE ELSE.

ALSO the drama between Angel and Val’s shit going on???? Like w Toxic’s Vox how he wants Angel dead. Angel’s death devastating Molly and causing her to spiral into a mental and emotional breakdown for who knows how long, BUT ... Now, Vox having closer to complete devotion of Molly, having her under his hand and him being one of her major pillars of support at the moment. More reason to make her entirely dependent on him ... Faux sympathy and consolation from him as he tries to comfort and dote after his lady after he was secretly the cause of her brothers demise

UGH its so messy I love it

Honestly I ship Molly w like 99 percent of the cast for HH/HB, the 1 percent mostly being those with conflicting orientations and or underage muses- APSDOFGKIJ

aaaaa sorry this is so late but I'M HERE to spread the good word

ok first of all this is Not a paid advertisement lmao but as a dog parent and professional who is very skeptical of all dog product manufacturers (and also ALWAYS believed that rawhide is bad, esp coming from a veterinary background) i will 100% be reordering this stuff for the foreseeable future

one of my fav and most trusted trainers always recommends this brand, farm hounds, bc ppl are always asking what chews she buys for her dogs, one of whom is a chewing Machine. i got a coupon from her and (skeptically) ordered their rawhide rolls BECAUSE:

the vast majority of standard rawhide products only use the inner layer of hide; the top outermost layer is used for tanning bc it's more durable and leather sells for more $ than dog chews. the hide from this company uses the Entire hide sourced from small farms

standard rawhide is also chemically treated (which is why it's generally that light white-ish color) to speed up the production process to make more $ instead of allowing them to dry naturally, which this company does

so i have two big dogs at home who love to chew. so i ordered these and started giving them 20-30 min daily chew sessions (1. edible chews like this should always be supervised 2. that's enough time for all the satisfying chewing endorphins to be released in their little brains and for them to scrape off the plaque from their teef, and 3. i wanted the hides to last longer than 2 days lmao)

and i am genuinely So impressed by how long they lasted and how durable they were. the other dog nola (60lb) actually still has like half of hers left after almost 2 weeks, and the only reason echo (90lb) finished hers is bc ppl have been working on the house and she was rly stressed so i just let her chew while someone was working in her line of sight for a while

ok ty for coming to my ted talk on rawhide, moral of the story: don't buy regular rawhide but some of it is actually good and dogs need to chew on non-plastic stuff. also here is a link to their website, they also have other chews and treats that are ethically sourced and produced! (i stg this is not a fucking advertisement shkjshhsd i'm just glad to have found them bc most manufacturers Suck)

it's been a while. man, i was wondering when I'd stop posting on here. it started feeling like a chore instead of being stress-free. anyway, im back at school, my mom half knows abt my ex, cuz yes i told her and i broke up with him. yes, he's still texting me through someone, yes it's annoying. yes I've blocked him everywhere. now that I think abt it, I should change all my passwords. yes I have a new crush, again. yes, my hair is still blond. yes, I'm anxious abt him finding me or smth. . #paranoidtings 🧏🏻‍♀️ so, I guess I should update yall on the other dude I liked, Kyle. welp, in simple terms, I gave up. too many girls liked him, but he also did something that irked me enough to stop speaking to him. which is sad, but the fact I, the ugly bitch, got this far, is mighty impressive. anyways, he texted me abt this girl I know, and it made me jealous and I decided that that was enough. i haven't entirely stopped liking him, but I have feelings for a new dude. it's not exactly feelings, but DAAAAYUM he's fine. let's call him Michy. he's just sooo. but I have my doubts that he's a whore too. just like Kyle, I sit next to him in class. last class I had with him made me imagine having his babies tbh. he laughs at everything I do, I'm not even exaggerating. i typed my email wrong and complained that it wouldn't log me in, and he burst out laughing. then he started playing papa pizzeria, and I had told him that I had never played the game. he said I had no life, and laughed when I couldn't slide the pizza all the way. dammmnnn yall.. he's tan, curly headed, and lowkey looks asian. whatever, let's get into my ex and why he pisses me off. he won't leave me alone. he keeps texting me. im TRYING to go no contact, but he's LITERALLY not letting me. it's so ..ugh. the more I look back, the more I realize how weird our relationship truly was. for exemple, he always needed to mention my backside. I have a voluptuous ass for a skinny girl, I know. it's been brought up THOUSANDS of times, I GET IT. he had given me this weird nicknames that literally REVOLVED around it. "sexy lady with a level 4 gyatt"... without mentioning how cringe that is, wth?? seriously? ew. when I brought up that I had never showed it to him, he brought up the time I had wore leggings on call. he said that he "couldn't help but look". like what? he's creeping me out generally. honestly if I end up dead somewhere, it'll be his fault. also, he wouldn't let me break up with him. he tried to make me promise I'd wait for him, I said no. this isn't mlp. that's not how relationships even work. i tried to break up multiple times over the span of 2 WEEKS. that's INSANE?? I also was worried he'd do something, so I made him promise he wouldn't, and asked his best friend to watch over him. I think that's pretty good. im not a good girlfriend, at first, I felt bad for him. but after the 5th time trying to break up, you start getting annoyed. ig that's my life now. it sucks. im still friends with my bff. ppl have asked me multiple times to go back to the gc. I've said no or avoided it entirely. i NEVER wanna go back. I HATE that gc and the majority of everyone in it. I haven't spoken in there since 31st December or January 1st, which is cool, since I had been in it since July 😀. it felt so good to ghost everyone. trust me, ghost everyone, you'll be free. this year I'm protecting the FUCK out of my peace. enough of letting ppl walk over me. esp boys. so yeah, that's my resolution ig. im proud of myself for trying in the first place. anyways, tomorrow i have that class with michy. that's if he's even there. he probs won't be, but wtv. if he is, maybe I'll tell you, or maybe I'll disappear AGAIN 😝😝 anyways, that's my life yall. it's been.. special. I've probably left out a lot, but it's so much and this log is big enough

shows ive been (speed)watching since finals/post-finals period:

1. queenmaker

genre: political drama

badass women

✨️revenge✨️, eat the rich etc.

anti-corruption justice-y but not in an annoying way

tbh the plot wasnt suuuuper mindblowing like i rmb some twists were kinda predictable but i honestly didnt rly mind?? it was still very good

this review is kinda sparse bc i watched it a while ago but it was honestly so so good i wanna rewatch it

2. copycat killer

genre: serial killer thriller

not particularly impressive or mindblowing but has many elements you'd want from a serial killer show i guess

i think it definitely earned points from me for being a taiwanese show ahsjdhdkd ive been wanting to watch a taiwanese show for a while now

mc acting is very meh but some side characters were not bad

5.5-6/10

3. big mouth

genre: thriller

anti-corruption justice-y to an extent but also not rly in an annoying way

some parts are RLY satisfying to watch

does a pretty good job of making you get attached to the characters

ending was very rushed & sudden

an 8 that dropped to a 7.5/10 bc of ^

4. revenge of others

genre: schoolyard revenge thriller

honestly didnt think i would like this as much as i did

slightly more fanservice-y than the rest (they definitely capitalised on the undeniably extremely attractive & charming male lead whose abs they flashed at least once ahsjdhdj)

and also a small sprinkle of kind-of romance?? but this & the slight fanservice didnt take away that much from the show so i was okay w it

i very self-servingly kind of loved that the mc is in the shooting team and that the show some training scenes etc

mc masters both the badass vibe & the charming vibe well and she uses the latter to her advantage in a way that is not annoying to watch actually !! rly did quite like her

plot got a bit lost in the sauce tho ngl ,,, i was so SO charmed by the second male lead (arguably more than the main male & female mcs at some pt tbh) but the way his story got twisted felt forced & weird & just not very great overall

the surprise rainbow sprinkle was nice, the surprise step-incest sprinkle was unnecessary and yet they somehow made it central to the plot so that was a big L

a surprising 7.5-8/10 (plot got abit weird but won points bc of how charming the 3 mcs were agsjdhdjd they got me Invested)

5. weak hero class 1

schoolyard anti-bullying revenge

violent but quite satisfying tbh

i would be raving abt how good this show is if it didnt tear my soul apart ahsjshdjd its a rly rly good show im just too sad to rave abt it

pretty fast paced in a way that i mostly appreciated? in that they didnt start off by making you watch the bully victim mc get beaten up & tormented for like 4 eps before they finally take revenge - it starts like almost immediately in the first ep which i quite liked

this show devastated me . but i wish they had taken just a few more eps to build the main trio's dynamic more so that it would devastate me even more

BUT DONT GET ME WRONG i still rly rly loved their friendship and they got me good esp with suho & sieun's friendship like goddamn . i adore them so much😭💛

cinematically also very lovely!! quite aesthetically pleasing

AMAZING acting

8/10? tempted to give it a 7.5 just cos it left me feeling empty & unsatisfied but that was probably the whole point so

Tbh i HATE the headcanon that frank was 19 when he met the Legion because here are my reasons

If frank was 19 in the first place then why is he still in fostercare? Shouldn't he be living on his own once or be kicked out of fostercare once he turned 18?

If frank was 22 when he got taken by the entity wouldn't it ruin the whole "teenage group" thingy . I know lots of people who have the headcanon jump on the line "he was older than anyone else at the party" I just assumed that it was a party full of middle schoolers and freshmen since middle schoolers are pretty stupid and dumb and I don't think 18 year Olds would be interested in a 20 year old man's story.

Even if the "frank was 19 in 1993" was canon wouldn't it imply that frank was dating Julie when she was a minor? It never specified when they started dating but it would still be weird to date somebody who was a 14 - 15 while you where 19 when you met them.

(but I highly doubt that it was canon that Frank was 19 in 1993 because in the comics he looks the same age as the rest of the Legion)

Yeah that's the biggest thing for me, cause like ??? I feel like he woulda ran away and moved out on his own since he clearly didn't wanna be in these foster homes anymore, so it wouldn't make sense for him to be dragged to Ormond to live with Clive.

Yeup 100%, another reason why I heavily dislike the idea :o) They're a stupid group of teens that get into and cause trouble! Making them older kinda defeats the purpose of their story, y'know? And yeah, just because he was older doesn't mean he was like, already an adult! It just meant he was in the realm of like,,, The cool Junior / Senior that everyone else, who were all late middle school / early high school students, looked up to in a sense. Like he managed to get his hands on some alcohol despite not being drinking age? That'd be impressive to a bunch of young, naïve teens. Also he was on Fairview's basketball team, so he was obviously still in high school when he moved to Ormond, and I personally doubt he ever got held back a grade, sooooo,,, Y'know, he'd still be a teen.

Okay this part is on me cause I forgot to mention why I brought that point up in the first place! Having this HC would imply that the other three are older as well (so like, Julie was 18 instead when they met, for example). That would allow for Joey and Susie to also be 18+ (esp considering Susie's Student ID) once taken into the Fog as well. I would actually bash my head into a wall if I saw someone HC what you just brought up, like good god that would be gross as hell.

I don't wanna share much of my lore rewrite / fanon cause its FAR from finished, but I do wanna share the ages / birthdates that I gave them, since they do play a big part in how I've written them n' whatnot.

These are the ages from when they met to when they got taken into the fog! - Frank- 16-19 (May 27th, 1977) - Julie- 15-18 (December 16th, 1977) - Joey- 14-17 (Oct 21st, 1978) - Susie- 13-16 (March 3rd, 1980)

I'd also like to add: - Frank moved to Ormond in July of 1993 - Frank met Julie (as well as the other two ofc) in December of 1993 - Frank dropped out during his Senior year in January of 1995 - Julie graduated in June of 1996 - They got taken into The Fog at the end of August of 1996

I have spent so long working all these dates out, its not even funny :o) Like on god spent 2 hours alone figuring out their birthdates since I wanted them to actually match their ages when taken into the fog n whatnot, my brain kinda melted that night. This has become such a passion project of mine and I want to make everything work together in the end due to how much they mean to me n whatnot.

as is tradition by now I watched a lot of older anime on my winter break, here's some notes on them:

digital devil story: megami tensei (1987) - 1x45min

nigh incomprehensible due to adapting a whole ass novel into a low budget 45min ova, the story's breakneck speed and tonal whiplashes make it a hilarious watch with some good tunes thrown in. got me curious of the original books.

genius party (2007) - 1x102min

one of them short film compilations that give the directors & animators room to experiment. a ton of weird 3D stuff, this being the mid 00s after all. the last two (baby blue, happy machine) were the highlights for me.

angel cop (1989-94) - 6x29min

probably the low point of this whole break. violent kitchen sink scifi specops cop story. painfully 80s, painfully fond of epileptic FX. couple nice scenes here and there (the unit, outmanned 3 to 30, defending their office from another special unit was a high point), but nothing great. might wanna watch the dub on this one, original takes a very antisemitic turn.

appleseed (1987) - 1x67min

decent adaptation, about as coherent as a mamoru oshii piece can get. all the mech sound design's very weak and light, my boy briareos deserves better.

photon (1997-99) - 6x29min

exquisite slapstick and comedic timing. reminded me of sonic the hedgehog for some reason. first episode's very annoying, but your reward is rest of the series being really funny and comfy. this being from the creator of tenchi muyo explains a lot. most likely to rewatch this out of all these.

plastic little (1994) - 1x45min

doesnt feel like 45mins with its supersonic pace and forgoing any setup beyond what's absolutely needed. amazingly still works story-wise, barely. a lot of the remaining runtime was spared to girls being beautiful and generous amounts of boobage.

genius party beyond (2008) - 1x81min

a sequel to genius party, less 3D this time around but still full of experimental animation. generally a more interesting whole in this one. moondrive[pic] and wanwa the puppy we're my faves.

blue submarine no 6 (1998-2000) - 4x32min

first episode tries embarrassingly hard to make the protagonist the coolest guy in existence. writing is easily the worst part throughout, which is a shame since the setting itself is very interesting. some really cool biopunk designs in the baddies' corner, neat 3D (esp. first ep (swear I didnt plan for early 3D integration to be a running theme)) and generally enjoyable vibes left me with a generally positive view on this despite the dogshit first impression.

cyber city oedo 808 (1990-91) - 3x42min

some of that classic 80s cyberpunk anime (it coming out in early 90s counts as the 80s' last hurrah). fun to see ruiner pulled the "killyou"-screen from here. ton of epileptic flashing screens in this one. last episode stands out as a futuristic vampire story beset with grief. feels very vampire hunter d, comes as no surprise a lot of the lead staff worked on the 2000 d movie.

the odds on us is so good!! i really like how realistically you wrote the conflict and made it easy to feel for both tae and oc, i feel like in a lot of fics ppl can accidentally write either one as the only asshole for their actions/reactions. of course, i tend to swing to tae’s side bc i love him so much and it killed me to read him confess that his gambling addiction was bc he wanted to provide for her but felt ashamed that his acting career wasn’t taking off yet 😭 but at the same time i wouldn’t be able to handle seeing the love of my life possibly go to jail after not being truthful so i couldn’t blame oc at all. the ending was great too and i’m happy he was able to clean up his act on his own to prove he could for her even though he thought it was too late, i admit i’m a big fan of fics kicking him around just a little bit to make the comfort even better, but i’m worse than oc bc i would’ve folded immediately the first time he came back to the apartment for his stuff lmao i’m too weak for him. and of course, the smut was fantastic i read your jimin modeling fic some weeks ago and recognized your name, you write so vividly and detailed i was excited to see you wrote something for tae! i’m impressed how you made him flow so seamlessly from a miserable kicked puppy to an absolute demon lol. in short i loved it i hope you don’t mind my rambling but i just had to leave something 😁

these tiny!cas drawings I made for a mutual a while back are still so adorable to me. esp the first one, like I have no idea how I actually made sleepy little cas look so adorable I think it's the pinchable cheeks and leetle crooked halo but smth abt him just makes me wanna plant a big ol' smooch on him? mwah mwah you know? i am normal abt my blorbo <3

a more recent fave would be one of this year's Suptober pieces, of Cas and Rowena on a horse, dressed up as cowboy and witch to impress salmondean. this one I spent a lot of time and effort on (you do not want to know how often I erased that sketch to change smth djfhshkj) and it ended up a pretty good way to sum up my two main goals w my art: 1. add way too many details and 2. be hilarious

this one was a tough decision bc let's be real I can't make a list like this and not include any of my (as you put it so well <3) Guys in Little Outfits™ but there's soo many which one to choose. I think my very first more, hm, "revealing" work deserves the spot, which would be this Dean right here (cw wonderful orbs <3) I like it bc of how well the shading/lighting worked out in this one. rad yearbook pt2.... dateables and luke ver (raph, mephi and thirteen might be ooc.. but theres not enough content of them so i shall shove some down your throats /lovingly) also sorry for the dia favoritism he's my baby mwah

i can see diavolo kind of disliking picture day, in a way. he has to shove away sunshiny, golden retriever ‘dia’ and become calm, collected, firm ‘lord diavolo, prince of the devildom’. he hates it :(( he’s constantly uptight and he can’t seem to relax. he probably isn’t smiling in his photo although he should be.. because he’s gotta keep his noble attitude and such. i feel like he has a whole spread dedicated to him in the yearbook. all those candid shots of him hosting balls (hehe) and at student council meetings (mephi had the time of his LIFE sitting in on that meeting. he was constantly snickering and taking photos at random times to catch people off guard. lucifer was pissed but couldn’t do anything bc he was “on official newspaper club business” in reality he just needed references for princess dia and prince lucifer stickers) dia will laugh heartily when he sees the look of displeasure on your face when you see his picture. he thinks its funny that you think his face looks so stiff and weird. no one’s ever said that to him before. he’ll fucking BEAM at you if you say he looks so much cuter when he smiles and that you would rather have a happy smiling prince than a dull one. ur so cute he loves you sm.

barbatos probably spends more time worrying about diavolo than himself. he’s got to press dia’s uniform, shine his shoes, help him shave, pluck his eyebrows, literally full spa treatment. barb still looks clean crisp and professional in his photo though. idk i don’t feel like there’s much to say about him and the yearbook. it’s just another day of the week for him. he probably does quality control on the yearbooks before they come out?? idk how to explain this but i feel like he’s the most reliable person to do it, lucifer is too busy, and the other brothers would seize the chance to do something malicious or just not care enough to be thorough about it. he supervises and reads the little blurbs in the yearbook and makes sure mephistopheles hasn’t done anything. is wearing his gloves in every picture. if you ask him why he’ll probably just say that it’s become a habit at this point (his butlerness is bleeding into his soul). if you say you like his hands gloveless he’ll chuckle and offer a sly “is that so...” while making a mental note of it in his head.

mephistopheles and the yearbook... where to start... ive talked about him so much already i think we all know that that yearbook season is a field day for this man. he cooks up sinister mischievous plots all year in preparation.. i swear he has a notebook where he writes new ideas he comes up with to sabotage prank the yearbook and all the students!!! now, listen idk much ab this man, but from the bare minimum ive seen, i think he holds a slight grudge against lucifer.. (ex-friend of dia?? LMAO LUCIFER TOOK HIS SPOT..) anyways i think mephi is a spiteful bitch and that's why he does all of his shit to ruin lucifers rep??? IDK IVE LITERALLY JUST WATCHED HIS INTRO VID BUT IT MAKES SENSE RIGHT? anyways he always kind of resents the yearbook a lil bit bc if that maybe.. he def interviews you for the yearbook and asks u a ton of personal questions ab the brothers and dia hoping to get dirt on everyone, but ur answers are so cute and genuine and it shows that u care a lot ab all of them he just finds himself thinking ur rlly pretty and he wants u to talk about him like that he was supposed to hate u what the hell happened anyways u have a cute little interview in the yearbook now he couldnt bring himself to ruin it (HAHAHAHS WHAT A SIMP)

simeon finds the yearbook extremely interesting. he doesn't care so much about his own picture, but he LOVES looking at everyone else's. it gives him good ideas for new characters!! u and him would literally sit and make up dramatic backstories and personalities for different demons based on their pics HAHS itd turn into a whole storyline and simeon is literally making mental notes. in his yearbook photo, he just has his usual serene smile. he doesn't do anything special, although i think luke would wanna help him comb his hair or fix his slutty outfit :} (ok but fr why are the demons so covered up and raph and sim are literally walking around in exposing outfits like hello raph has his tits all the way out and asmo has a scarf, jacket AND a shirt underneath???) i feel like simeon would also send a picture of his yearbook pic to micheal and tell him about the whole process idk i feel it in my bones. if you tell him about yearbook signing he will ask everyone for their notes and signatures to commemorate his time in the devildom (he'll read your little note over and over when ur away... he cant help it ur so cute and he misses u sm)

i think luke is really nervous about the yearbook but the moment u ask him about it he's like "im not nervous quit treating me like a child!! >:((" simeon silently nods in your direction to confirm that yes luke is very nervous. he just wants to make a good impression!! its his first yearbook, he's gotta let everyone know that he's a capable, mature angel, worthy of micheal's praise! (he just wants micheal to be proud of him shh dont tell him i said that). when hes getting ready to have his picture taken, he takes extra care to fix his jaunty little hat, smooth his coat, brush his hair, etc. i think he tries to do a serious smile but he just comes out looking so cute that when u see his pic u unconsciously let out an 'awwww' and he pouts and tells u he is NOT cute and he is NOT a chihuahua that joke is DEAD. *pointedly glares at mammon* anyways his yearbook pic is really cute just dont tell him that hehe u and simeon can gush ab it later

raphael doesn't give two shits ab the yearbook i think. and he absolutely doesn't understand when u ask if theyre actually letting him wear his outfit hes just like "....yes? why would they not?" and still doesnt understand when you tell him that its kinda inappropriate but u still think its rlly hot. well. u can't see all of his abs in the pic but u can see most of em so ur sufficiently fed. (AHAHA IM SORRY) ahem. anyways they dont allow him to bring his spear or take a picture with him which kinda pisses him off a little bit. he also doesn't really care a lot about the yearbook itself either but if u sign it and then smile at him and tell him you'll miss him lots his cheeks will freaking flush sm but he'll be like "i will miss u as well. mc. thank you." whilst inside hes screaming omg. def looks at ur yearbook pic w a lil smile on his face and then micheal is like "ohoho? what r u looking at?" and raph is like "/////-///// nothing." micheal knows what hes looking at he just wants to tease him LMAO

solomon is kinda excited!! i think its one of the human things he's never really gotten to do so he's kinda pumped ab it :)) i think he just has a cute little smile on his face the whole day this is a new experience for him <33 he asks u all about yearbooks and picture day in preparation. he feels more connected to his humanity!!! i think after meeting u he just kinda realized that he missed being an average human, so he's been romanticizing every second of ur time together AWWWW altho sometimes hes a little mf shit >:[ will request to meet up w u in the human world to go through ur old yearbooks togther!! he thinks little u is so cute!! thirteen my wife is erm not thrilled ab picture day haha... she thinks its fucking dumb and she doesn't wanna at all. i think she even complains to dia about it n he tells her its her duty as a student at RAD and she just scowls and mutters profanities the rest of the day. i think if u mention to her how u are looking forward to seeing her picture and being able to look at it up in the human world she'll be like "FINE i'll do picture day i guess... itll be less of a drag if ur there" all while blushing a lil and looking the other way hehehe. DEFINITELY HAS A MENACING SMILE IN THE PIC. like the other beings are just :) and shes like >>>>:} literally what a freak lmao... also doesnt wear her freaking uniform and it pisses lucifer off a little bit but he doesn't wanna deal with her shes such a pain HAHA. when yearbooks are given out she probaby tosses it somewhere and then promptly forgets about it. she will 100% tease solo ab his picture though hehe

bonus: all of the exchange students have to take a pic together and it slowly turns in to a fight over who gets to stand next to u... thirteen and raph are close to having an all out brawl, solo and sim are glaring at each other, and luke is clinging onto ur leg with a pout. the poor photographer... eventually its kinda resolved when dia is like "oh ill just stand by mc! hahah!" he knows exactly what hes doing. no one can say no because hes literally the prince but they glower the rest of the day because dia has his arm around u and is basically blocking the rest of them HAHA. literally the same thing happens when the HOL/student council have to take a pic together oml

so, I think first and foremost, their respective families both love them together, like before they even get together

we already know Fuyumi likes Izuku a lot, and Natsuo thinks he's like, really funny

they both love puns and even more, puns on clothes

and I just know Inko would love Shoto

he's so polite and kind and looks at Izuku like he hung the moon

what more can you want in a son in law???

I think Momo would be Shoto's main wing woman, but it's funny, because she's just as hopeless as he is

I love to imagine Iida trying to help Izuku, too

just the most basic, straight forward shit, and Izuku is dying of embarrassment just hearing about it

I think most of the class is just enjoying the show tho

and is genuinely so happy for them when they get together

oh and omg Mina and Hagakure totally love snapping pictures of them and stuff and the boys pretend to be annoyed by it

I think people might be a bit more in the dark about these two, at least at first

Denki is totally a guy that is friends with everyone in class, like, good friends, he knows everyone and cares about everyone and is just so good like that?

so when Shinso transfers to the hero course and their class and dorms, nobody's surprised when he and Denki starts hanging out

but the other people that know Shinso a little better, like his old friends from the General Course and Izuku esp, def notice little things

I think Izuku and Kirishima would be the first two to discuss it, and they wanna help out so baaad

I think Jiro's parents would love Momo! and we already know from the Light Novels that Momo's mom really wanted to impress Jiro and Momo's other friends, so I think both families would approve

I kinda wrote this as a warmup so oops? I love writing alpha reader and omega characters, esp omega Bakugou lmao.

I wanna say apologies for Todoroki’s side, He is just one of those characters thats like...impossible for me to write. I had a half idea and decided to include it for funzies. I feel like in A/B/O Enji would have maybe given him some insecurities about being an omega? Either by forcing him to pretend he’s an alpha or in other ways, either way I feel like he’d have some anxieties about not being good enough/not knowing how to care for his alpha.

Bakugou:

You had been unprepared when his first heat hit. Sure, you and Katsuki had been courting for awhile, you jumping every hurtle and fighting to meet the omega’s high expectations. You managed it of course, impressing the blonde hero with flying colors. (You even managed to make him blush when you got on one knee and asked him to be your mate, though he’d kill you if you ever told anyone that). Sure, both of you had known that his next heat would finally be…it. The last step in your courting process, the chance to finally be real…mates.

That didn’t mean the two of you were prepared, though. Katsuki was a late bloomer if there ever was one, be it the mix of intense stress and strain he put his body through, or his complete lack of interest in anything mating related until you came along, the blonde had never had a heat, didn’t know the signs that came with it. At least not until it was too late.

The first few days had been a whirlwind of sex and trying to get the necessary supplies with a very needy very horny omega clinging to your side and begging to be fucked every hour of the day. More than once you woke up, groggy and confused to your mate bouncing on your lap, whimpering and begging for your knot.

There was no nest made, no food prepared, nothing. It was stressful to say the least for you especially, as your mate was too far gone to worry or be of any help.

Still, laying here now…it was all worth it.

You looked down at your omega with a tender gaze, the two of you curled up in the center of his nest, a peaceful sight despite the absolute mess surrounding you. Sweat and…other bodily fluids soaked into shredded clothing that would need to be thrown away later, fluff and filling from the mattress and pillows strewn throughout the nest. That would all need to be replaced as well, along with some of the furniture that had your omega’s claw marks so deeply embedded into it there was no chance at salvaging any of it. It was needless to say that your omega’s…explosive personality carried over into his heat. Even still your hips throbbed from the strain of fucking him so hard for the past week, and your back burned with the scratch marks that covered your skin, you hadn’t gotten the chance to look yet but you wouldn’t be surprised if some of the deeper ones scarred.

You couldn’t bring yourself to be angry, though. Especially not while you were looking down at your omega, submissively tucked into your side, face relaxed and peaceful in sleep. A possessive thrill ran through you as you reached down to gently brush his hair from his face. Only you got to seem him like this…No one else would know how he looked, completely lax and free of any tension or stress. No, this was for your eyes only. You found yourself melting into the nest as well, crooning gently down at your mate when he twitched in his sleep, burrowing closer to you, that sweet face hidden as it burrowed into your chest, sleepily nuzzling at the scent glands on your sides, sleepy half lidded eyes cracking open for just a moment. Hands that were thrown across your waist flexed for just a brief moment as a soft chirp came from him, the sweet sound not fitting the person it came from in the slightest.

Cooing at the sight, you gently stroked your omega’s hair as you cupped his face, gently pulling him up and leading his head to rest on your shoulder, nose pressed against the scent glad that now held his mating mark. A slow soft rumble vibrated through your chest as you gently settled him down into your hold again, legs intertwined as you wrapped both arms around his torso, cradling him against you as he relaxed into the touch again.

Both of you stayed like that, trading soft purrs and calming scents until his eyes slid closed again, breath gently brushing across your neck. It wasn’t long before you found yourself following him, nose tucked into messy blonde spikes.

Todoroki:

You were woken by the desperate wiggling of your heat source next to you, gentle tugs at the protective hold you had around your omega. A quick sniff told you that your mate’s heat had finally passed, something that filled you with more relief than you like, as much as you tried to keep up with your mate and satisfy him, your stamina was nothing to that of a one of the top pro heros and you frequently had found yourself on the bottom, left helplessly crying under your mate as he took his fill.

“...What’s wrong?”

Your voice was croaky as you unhappily cracked your eyes open, gently letting go of your mate, frowning as he immediately slid out of your hold. A soft hint of anxiety filled the air, barely detectable under the heavy stale scent of sex and heat, but it was enough that it had you jolting awake, instincts screaming to go to and comfort your new mate. You had been moving to sit up but a displeased hiss and harsh shove to your chest had you plopping right back down into the nest. You stared up at your omega with wide eyes as he rumbled down at you, tucking blankets and pillows around you, fidgeting with the sides of the nest, fussing over you.

Oh…That’s what this was. Shouto had never been quite…happy with the nest he had made, anxiety manifesting in trying to make his nest perfect for his mate, for you. Even in the throws of heat he had been anxiously poking at the sides, face cold and unreadable but his scent and your new bond gave away the anxiety and turmoil that bubbled just under the surface.

“Baby, come here…You need to rest.”

Ever so gently you reached out to grab your mates arm, a soft soothing croon coming from your chest as you gently led him back down into your hold, tenderly tucking him into the nest just as he had done for you. Careful not to hold him too tight, knowing from experience never to trap the omega or make him feel suffocated you wrapped yourself around your mate, gently leaning in to rub your cheek against his, a soft warm purr vibrating in your throat as you tenderly scent marked your mate.

“Oh…”

A soft pleased sigh came from your omega, the lingering tension melting out of him as he melted into the touches, obediently baring his neck to give you more room as you rubbed your cheek there as well, steadily letting out your own calming scent.

“There you go, baby~ That’s it. Such a good omega~”

You purred down at him gently, continuing to mark him, gently holding him as you stopped to nuzzle every scent gland, watching as he relaxed into your touches, eyes growing half lidded and sleepy. Absentmindedly your hands massaged gentle circles into his skin as you moved back up to his side, settling down next to him. Instinctively he curled closer to you, resting his head on your shoulder as his eyes slid shut. You couldn’t help but press a kiss to his forehead where his sweaty bangs were plastered to his face.

“Sleep well.”
