Oh we like cursed Jazz content in this house
So Jazz’s gotten her degree and a nice totally safe internship at Arkham Asylum, as one does
And one day while she’s hanging in the interview room waiting for her next patient, who comes in but former fellow doctor Harleen Quinzel
Is Harley actually back at Arkham or half way through a break in? Doesn’t matter
Maybe Ivy needed a hand with a particularly well protected shady polluter
Maybe she’s breaking Killer Croc out for poker night
Maybe she’s just visiting to punch Joker in the face
What matters is the heat is on and Harley’s gonna be hanging out in this room, and here’s a cute young psychiatrist and Harley can’t resist a punch line
And Jazz Fenton? Jazz knows when she’s being played with, and she’s fought way worse than Harley
Hell, 10 minutes in she’s reminded so strongly of Danny she’s gotta call him after work
And Jazz has done her research, she knows who Harley is, and is very touched by her concern
But then there’s another rogue attack, the prison is in shambles, and it’s time for a change of plan
Harley’s happy to tell Jazz where to find an emergency buzzer and to barricade the door behind her, hoping the newbie will be safe
Cuz that works out in Arkham for sure
Before Harley can dip the door busts in, someone’s looking for a hostage and Harley’s stepping up for some more active protection of her new friend
Right up until they get shot in the face before Harley can connect and fall smoking to the floor
Jazz is no Poison Ivy, but beautiful, dangerous redheads are Harley’s kryptonite and she’s begging for Jazz’s number
Harley looks back at Jazz and her lipstick gun and oh now she’s in love
Jazz gives her the cute smile and says isn’t Harley taken, because Jazz kind of is now but they can be friends
Harley, competitive, will accept the number and demands the lucky fucker’s name cuz they’d better pray they’re good enough for Jazz
…
Three weeks later, Harley’s at the precinct with vital information about someone’s latest great caper
But she’ll only give it up to Jason Todd
(People know he’s alive only because this idea was precisely 12% funnier than Harley trying to hunt down Red Hood in Crime Alley
Harley’s a god tier psychiatrist and has known who the bats are for ages, but like fuck she’s going to Wayne Manor)
There’s been no hint that Harley was really involved and things are getting tense, but this is Harley Fucking Quinn who exists solely in places she’s not meant to be
They can’t risk not going if she might have something
So Jason, cranky about crimes, puts on his best people face and comes down to an unsurveilled (except for Bats) room to ask wtf
Harley stares him dead in the eye
“I’m gonna steal your girlfriend”
Then just drops street addresses, trap locations, and the fucking key to the warehouse crime was in
Bruce: confused but happy it worked and Harley’s still not back into major terrorism
Jason: fucking befuddled
Jazz: loves it
Ivy: fondly resigned
All other bats: never letting Jason live this down
The ongoing Harley/Hood prank war is fucking epic in proportion
Ivy and Jazz hang out whenever they’re busy and oh dear sarcastic peppy psychiatrists are also Ivy’s kryptonite
So the second Jason even vaguely upsets Jazz he is well aware she has two extremely loving lesbian moms just waiting to snatch her away
Call it Gotham Bachelorette

Dp x dc idea 30
Ellie has been vibing in Gotham with the bats. She knows their identity and they know hers. She’s been unofficially adopted. She won’t give up her last name and seemingly doesn’t exist so he can’t do it legally.. yet.
All of them think she ran away from her family. They are very concerned with her relationship with her brother. She’s saying things about how he forced her to leave, taunting foes about how her brother hits harder, called her unstable and so forth. Not to mention the lack of education and lack of social knowledge. She didn’t even know about stranger danger. They just have a bad view on the whole family.
She never explained he sent her away after a close call with the GIW (she remembers getting dragged into the van unable to escape), he trained her to fight better, he gave up a part of his core to stabilize her, and did everything he could to keep her safe. Ellie had not disclosed she’s a clone and has no intention of it.
One day when she’s out on patrol she spots Danny. As he’s human she detransforms to tackle hugs him properly. It’s dark out and she doesn’t notice the bags or pain in his eyes until she’s on him.
The way he stumbled back and the dried blood on his shirt didn’t bode well. Danny just kinda smiles at her and snaps a bracelet on her. She can feel the sudden loss of her powers.
Danny tells her while she had a close call he had the full call. The Giw had found a way to trace his core and it was leading them to Gotham despite having him locked up. The GIW naturally assumed they didn’t have the real phantom.
Danny explains everything too quickly for her to process. It’s not even until her feet are frozen to the ground in an alley hidden away does she realize what’s going on.
She can’t see it but hears the GIW catch him. Hears them call his scum and the shots. Hears the cheer when he was shot down and the engine of a vehicle zooming away.
All while the bats have been looking for Ellie. She just keeps turning invisible on patrol and ditching them. Not to mention they haven’t gotten any com/tracker to work due to her ghostliness. By the time they do she’s sitting in an alley in a puddle of water seemingly in shock.
It’s only then do they get the full story.
When Danny wakes up he expected to be stranded to a table again. Not in a room attached to medical equipment with freshly treated wounds and Ellie sitting besides him.

Sokka’s heart broke when his sister came into his workshop crying.
He immediately dropped the tools that he was holding, going over to her. The delicate machinery clattered on the wooden table, but he ignored it. He caught her arms just before she collapsed onto the ground.
“Katara, what is it?” He asked worriedly, looking her over for signs of injury.
In her desperation to raise the status of the Southern Water Tribe, Hama had been pushing her to the brink. There were times that Katara returned shivering or bleeding from harsh training. There was nobody else to take the pressure off her; she was the only water bender of her generation. It left Sokka helpless to do anything but hold her as she shakily healed herself. She was only eleven. She shouldn’t be the only one forced to represent their tribe in the ongoing war.
She looked up at him, eyes streaming tears.
“The Northern Masters came to watch me today,” she wailed.
He shook his head. He had been there, watching from the sidelines where nobody spared him a glance. She had performed wonderfully, her bending far outdoing any of the boys that were brought from the North. He had watched the Masters whisper amongst themselves, nodding and sharing looks of approval and concern. He was so proud of her.
“You did amazing, Katara,” he told her. “I watched, you did better than any of the boys there.”
“I know!” She hit his chest, and he didn’t flinch back. “They want me to go find the Avatar now!”
His eyes went wide. “What? Why?”
She shook her head, the tears becoming uncontrollable. He had to wrap her in a warm fur blanket and sit with her for several long moments before she got anywhere close to coherent again. He could always settle her panic. It was his job. He was nothing to the tribe, but he was her big brother.
As he comforted her, his mind raced through the situation rapidly. There was no reason to send a child off in search of the Avatar, especially one with such talent like Katara. They were supposed to give her more training, give her a chance to stand with the rest of the waterbenders and prove that the Southern Tribe held just as much power.
But that was the problem.
Realization made his heart sink. They knew that Katara was the most powerful waterbender in generations. There were whispers that she could be the next Avatar, that the last airbender was finally dead. The only reason to send her away would be to remove her as an obstacle altogether, to ensure that nobody from the South had a chance of overpowering the North. She was being sent on a death mission.
Finally the tears subsided into hiccups, and Sokka was able to kneel on the icy ground in front of Katara. He held her hands, looking her in the eye. Her breathing had steadied, and when her eyes fixed on his face, determined and calm at once, she seemed to relax, trusting whatever solution he would come up with. His plans always worked out– eventually.
“I’ll take care of this, Katara,” he told her firmly. “I promise. You don’t have to be the only one keeping our tribe afloat. I can help.”
The next day, when the Northern Masters came to their ship to send Katara on her journey, they found that someone else had taken her place. He was standing on the ship with no waterbenders, but a strange contraption strapped to the back. He had been trying to find a way to steer ships without waterbenders or sails, and there was no better time to test the new machine than now. After explaining his plan to Katara, he talked her into staying in his workshop until he set sail. That way, there was no way they could force her from her home.
“I am Sokka of the Southern Water Tribe!” He announced to the Northern Masters. “I am Hakoda’s eldest child. It’s my birthright to find the Avatar, and I won’t give up until I find him!”

Your latest about Madam Yu made me realize just how much of her own issues she was projecting on JC (he's unlikeable because he's 'her son', not being better than cssr's son (herself and cssr) jfm not loving her, she forced the marriage so definitely he wont love her and so obviously wont love her son who's similar to herself-) and even jyl! Jyl who's more similar to jfm and to whom she says 'it is beneath you to care for wwx he's a servant' is like she's projecting what she wants to yell at jfm 'its beneath you to care for wcz who was a servant'
Ooooh, that’s such an interesting parallel, especially since Madam Yu shows absolutely no interest in Jiang Yanli outside of forcing that engagement. Jiang Yanli is Jiang Fengmian’s daughter, so of course her criticisms of her daughter mirror her criticisms of her husband.
