MEE is citing an unnamed "senior Arab" source informed "from a leak originating in the US" that Israel is planning on using nerve gas in tunnels used by Palestinian militants in Gaza. No source more substantial than that (OTOH how would you get one?) so I'm taking it w more than a grain of salt, but good to know A) that claim is out there & B) the sourcing on it

Another thing that drives me nuts is that there are next to no good breeders close to me, for any breeds. Manitoba is kinda known to be a puppy mill hotspot in Canada, unfortunately. So I will not be able to find a breeder that I can visit before I buy a puppy because there just aren't any close by. I did get to meet the breeder that owns Sprocket's dad a few years ago, but I had to drive to a city 4 hours away. Not the worst, tbf. But I haven't been able to find much else close by. I found a Siberian breeder I like, but they're all the way in Edmonton. Will probably look at other breeds yet, but ngl, I've really had my heart set on a husky for a long time. I was hoping a pomsky would be good as a smaller dog option, but that's proving to be too difficult to be worth it.

Every now and then I remember my RE teacher from upper comprehensive school. He was also my RE teacher in firat grade when our actual teacher was on maternity leave and he was honestly a little scary, but in the end he was one of my favourites. RE was definitely NOT my favourite subject in school but our class was smaller than any other class and it was a biweekly break from the lutheran hegemony of Finland and we got to do fun trips so it also wasn't not among my favourites...

anyhow, the one thing about this teacher that has stuck with me was hia attitude towards sin and all things related. I often think back to him and how he talked when ever I see boastful, hypocritical Christians online acting like they are so pure and good and couldn't never sin etc, and I also think about him when ever I see people acting like sin is only these Big Bad Things you might do and then you are in Trouble. I like his take better and how we were thought to see things, even if none of it really matters to me personally as someone who wasn't brought up to be religious and who's also never turned that way otherwise. But I always felt we were taught to be humble and realistic rather than boastful and acting like we only do good. When my upper comprehensive school RE teacher started talking about the topic of sin, he asked us if we think he has sinned that day. We were all kinda confused and didn't know what to say, but his own answer was a very clear yes. Why? He drove his car to work. Cars pollute, and pollution causes death. We talked about the alternatives, choices we might be able to make in the future to have a less negative impact on our planet. As far as teaching RE from a(n orthodox) christian POV goes, I still feel like he was definitely one of the best people for the job.
