!SPOILERS FOR THE WATCHING AND DREAMING PROMO PLS BEWARE!
Words and images cannot describe how deranged I get when I think about Luz in Belos' uniform.
Cause it's like.
It's the fact that this is clearly in a nightmare the Collector has set up, so Luz's greatest nightmare is becoming Belos, even though that would never even be a possibility. It's the fact that, by unknowingly helping Philip find the Collector, Luz has basically set everything happening right now into motion, it's the fact that Luz knows this or at least believes it and it's severely affected her mental health ("And it would literally be better if he never existed") and it definitely plummeted after the attack at the graveyard.
It's the fact that Luz knowing that her help caused all this chaos in the demon realm and lives of her friends is why her nightmare is becoming Belos.
It's the fact that Belos used his humanity, or just the fact that he was human, to manipulate Luz and psych her out. which, in the case of Hollow Mind, upset her so much that her first action was to deny it ("No, NO, you're just Belos!").
It's the constant parallels between the Wittebane brother, and Luz, and Hunter; and what that means for their arcs and relationship with eachother, especially since it looks like Hunter will be reverting back to the Golden Guard if he gets a nightmare.
(It's the smaller detail that stringbean in staff form resembles the staff Belos would use and whatever THAT will entail)
IT'S THE WEIRD PARALLEL MY MIND CREATED BETWEEN PHILIP TAKING HIS BROTHERS JACKET WHEN HE DIED, AND LUZ TAKING BELOS' OUTFIT WHILE HE'S ON THE VERGE OF DEATH HIMSELF, I DON'T KNOW WHY BUT I NEED YA'LL TO HEAR ME OUT.
It's the fact that, no matter what her friends did to reassure her and tell her differently, she's still dead set in the belief that her actions have hurt them and the people around her, or that despite what he saw Philip believed that the only way he could stay in this world was if he destroyed it.
It's the fact that, based on what we saw Belos and Luz are gonna have a confrontation in the palace where the titans heart is, and Luz is going to have to accept that yes, her actions, unknowingly, had severe consequences, but that doesn't and will never make Luz like Belos, because while Belos may be human before he will never get his humanity back, while Luz has that and empathy, and a curiosity that led her to befriending and fitting in among the demon realm, and a love of the strange, and a strong imagination that she never gave up on.
Luz and Belos will never be the same, and yet everytime I think about how they are similar my brain just goes:

just cried because i listened to my favorite song from when i was 8 years old. i hadn't heard it in years and appearantly i had missed it so much and not even realized. or maybe i just missed the memories that came with it. im in my grandma's kitchen, eating skyr topped with sugar, listening to an old cassette tape of even older songs. my grandma said it was our tape, that she only listens to it when im visiting. im staying the entire weekend and tomorrow we'll go berry picking. i'm 8 and i feel a little lost but my grandma loves me so much and is glad to spend an entire weekend with me. im listening to my favorite song and im 8 years old and im eating so much sugar. im gonna make a blanket fort later. hell yeah.

"But the ship is pseudo-incestuous!!" THE GIRL CANONICALLY FUCKED HER ACTUAL COUSIN???
Like incest bad. Don't do incest. Don't be Lucy. But I feel like maybe thats not the grounds on which to be arguing here? Never mind that they are literally NOT related (no matter your personal headcanons). Ms. 'Incest is a normal part of growing up' probably isn't going to be morally hung up on that. Even if she (in the case of actual incest, not headcanon father figure pseudo-incest) absolutely should be.
I don't even ship it myself. But Lucy Maclean is a capital F Freak. You gotta accept that.

Embarrassing to admit, but I may as well before the last chapter drops... I genuinely thought for a while that Crowley wrote N&A. Let Me Explain: He has a mysterious job that earns him a bunch of money. He's a writer, but reacts weird to publishing being brought up. It makes the whole hastur convo more interesting b/c yes really, that's what the author meant. It adds a secret that he would Have to hide, but would still feel guilty about. that secret has a time limit because he's doing a signing.
listen. shut up, look at me. come closer.
this is fucking sick, i wish i was smart enough to think up that kind of plot twist 👁️👁️
same to all the readers who wanted anathema to secretly be agnes. genius plays. but unfortunately not, just lots of dumb gays on the internet.

I have a funny and nonsensical IT headcanon… I think it would be hilarious if Richie and Patty were cousins.
IT’s magic kept the losers from meeting, but Richie and Patty had a standing once-a-month call they never missed. Somehow he never met his cousin’s husband. Missed the wedding too, flight got canceled last minute….
I think it would stress Stan out and I love that.

no let’s talk about cScott’s strategy in the life series being the social game. Let’s talk about how he’ll just kinda play nice with everyone and get to very high placements as a result. Do you wonder if his past allies feel used by him? If they feel like they’re just part of the strategy of his own game? Did you realize how rarely Scott has recurring alliances? Do you think they wonder about if they were just someone Scott could get to a higher result to feel good about? Or someone that could get him the win? Or are you normal
all I’m saying is usually we go on lengthy talks about Scott being nice and sweet and wholesome but this guy (character) is good at the murder game! Really worryingly good! Let’s delve into that some more!

Okay
So if the Princess you leave with at the end is Shifty's heart and not Shifty herself. What happens to The Shifting Mound when you leave with the Princess at the end? Does she cease to exist without her heart, or does she remain trapped forever?
Or, like, does she just become that Princess you leave with?

starting to get real pissed off to see those posts in my feed so:
dear Project Moon haters, i'm very glad and happy for you guys to be able to cut the ties with the franchise, but can y'all stop forcing others to do the same by telling them that if they still like the universe PM created, they are morally bad?
not everyone is like you guys, some people used to see these games as more than just something they like, but as something they admire, an inspiration, a fandom where they met amazing people, a source of creativity, a coping mechanism. its not easy for everyone to just destroy something that took a huge part of their lives and person because of an event they had nothing to do with. these people are just fans, not Project Moon itself.
you see someone who is still in the fandom and you dont like that? then block them! block the tag too! but dont go throw your bullshit at them and tell these people you don't even know that they're wrong and morally bad people.
and let's not pretend we dont live in a world where some of the most known, famous, and admired works of art haven't been done by people who did worse.
just please let people be people, if anything, if you see someone struggling to cut ties with the universe, offer them other games or medias or solutions to move on. but keep your twitter-like bullshit away from tumblr, thank

love, kiwi

something that always bothered me about the worm fanfic scene is that they always try to cram everyone together. There's always the scene where taylor meets lisa in a coffee shop or whatever. I get it, it's a fanfic, you can't just make up a character for her to meet.
But one of the things i always liked about worm was that it stayed away from the comic trope of making everyone connected. Like, if Worm was a comic book, Armsmaster would be her teacher, She'd end up being friends with Kid Win, Cherie would attend Winslow, Annette would end up being still alive and a secret agent for Cauldron but with amnesia or something, over-the-top soap opera shit, right?
What I always liked was that in Worm, Taylor's just some girl. She only knows one hero out of costume, and it's the girl who ruined her life. Her dad's just the head of hiring for the union. Her mom was just a college professor. If you asked the mayor about Danny Hebert, he'd say "who?" A lot of fanfics have him be like seinfeldian rivals with the mayor, but like he just writes petitions. If you asked Lustrum about Annette Hebert, she'd have no clue who you're talking about, because Annette was just like a member of her organization.
What I'm trying to stress, is that in superhero comics, everything's connected. Everyone knows everyone. Everyone's a super genius, or met at The Science Expo, or their dad was a famous crime fighter. Comics have all these sorts of big dramatic irony reveals. In comic books, there is never a character who's just some guy.
This sort of thing is great for making everything feel connected, and it's good for keeping out extraneous exposition.
But Worm doesn't do that. It's all just like. They're just regular ass people. Of course they don't know each other. They live in a city with 300 thousand people, none of them would have ever met each other if it weren't for capeshit.
And, I mean, it does remove a lot of the potential for shenanigans but it really does a lot to make everything feel more real.
There's also something there about capeshit being a metaphor for shared trauma where like these people would not know each-other were it not for shared trauma.
The undersiders, the great team, the bestest friend team, they don't meet if not for capeshit. They have no connection to eachother outside this. These are kids who would have never met, they would never have come within 20 degrees of separation were it not for the fact they have powers. This is integral to worm's worldbuilding. It's maybe the closest you ever get to a positive aspect of gaining powers, and yet for so many capes there is no undersiders, just the fighting and loneliness and eventual violent death.
