dazai can be hard to write for so dont beat urself up nonnie :< i feel like i only have an okay time doing it bc ive been daydreaming ab him for so long. when i struggle writing other characters, i usually go back to the manga / anime & try to observe anything i can ab the way they talk, etc. u can also read other fics & see what they do w the character that u think feels right !! obvi dont copy anyone, but incorporate those characteristics into ur version of the character

dont be afraid to use ur personal experiences !! i know x readers should generally appeal to a broad audience, but making it too “one size fits all” makes it a little boring. for me, domestic moments (like waking up together, cooking together), playing with each others hair, being physically affectionate, etc are all things i associate with romance. its fun to include things like that in my fics, even if they don’t necessarily appeal to everyone

lean into details !! im a rlly visual person & i picture things in my head while i write. in the past it was rlly hard for me to expand my ideas & i found myself skipping over the little details to keep the general plot going. ive been trying to get more descriptive & include those little things & i rlly think it helps make everything feel more immersive, even if its something that isnt necessarily important to the fic

proofread !! i reread my fics probably a little too much before i post them but sometimes i think of something i didnt before & it just helps shape the fic better. also, run ur fics thru something like grammarly before u post it !! i catch a lot of silly typos that way >:/

im still kinda learning how to write too, i must have the most disjointed writing process ever omg. but something thats helped me is not to take it too seriously bc this is all just for fun !! when u start to put pressure on urself, it becomes a chore & thats when i know i need a little break.

This is a rant

Have u heard of it? I started this anime less than 2 weeks ago and already finished it (season 5 will be released July 2023). Where are all the fanfics for this fandom? 😭😭 I need a good lengthy BSD x reader fanfic to immerse myself in until season 5 (longer if possible). I know the first season is abit slow, but the comedy moments should help yall push through 😢 It only gets better each season forward. And I'm an MHA, JJK, Demon Slayer, That time I got Reincarnated as a slime, Black Clover, Blue Exorcist, and Overlord fan. Imo MHA, JJK and Demon Slayer are filled with action, plot is attention grabbing and the main aspect (for me) is the fantasy/"fiction" sides of it (Demons, quirks/powers, monsters etc) and lets not forget the simp-worthy characters. So my anime standards are pretty high, if an anime is too slow with no hope for the future, or animation style is extremely lacking, or the plot and/or characters ain't fascinating then poof. My interest is gone. Bungou Stray dogs is so good, omg.

first thing i learned about her was she's jacks kid, and i think what happened to her since my first contact with borderlands was tftbl?

My impression now

one of my faves from borderlands, i live and breathe aus where she gets to be happier. canon divergence, my beloved.

Favorite thing about that character

siren with tech powers, and a very interesting story. wish we'd gotten more about her.

Least favorite thing

ah yeah, me and my thing with latching onto side characters with barely screentime 80% of the time.

Favorite line/scene

her reveal, even if the bunker part frustrated me to no end both story and gameplay-wise.

sadly, there's not much :c but damn, her echo-log flashback and how they show the development of her relationship with jack...

maya (bcs siren stuff) and gaige (bcs i love the ship).

i like the idea of her keeping an undercut even after getting rid of the head ports. similar hairstyle but different, properly stylized since in canon she just have that part shaven for functional purposes, and is a way to "reclaim" the looks sort of.

13! Tho one of them’s cowritten so maybe 12? Hopefully it’ll be up by one in a week or so tho~

Oooh I dunno, I think maybeeee Its a Love Story (E)? I do think that ending is soooo cute! Oh and True Soul Bound To True Soul(T)!

I think I’ve gotten like one hate comment? Definitely have gotten some slightly annoying comments tho^^; readers pls, asking me to update does not make me go faster😭

Smut is what I like writing the most! I love writing kinky queer smut, no one’s cis or straight in my fics

I don’t really tend to? Not on my own at least, I’ve cowritten/rp’d/brain rotted a few but never finished or published anything.

Probably this one firefighter xiao/single mom chem major venti au i have, its plotted out pretty heavily and its super cute buuut i dunno modern aus aren’t my favorite to write and I have so many other ideas, but who knows! Maybe ill get brain worms for it eventually!

I think its a great idea!! I do it a bit in my fics, a word here and there with translations, and I think it helps like i dunno pull their culture in? Also I think sometimes the English version of certain words don’t have the same Impact yknow?

Fyodor also knows more than one language. He's fluent in Russian, English and Japanese; and he might know other languages too, due to his interactions with people from all over the world. Basically A Certain Group of people are being really strange abt that l Day I Picked up D@zai image where 0da is restraining him and I mean rlly fucking strange like… like making up rape headcanons , talking abt how easy it would be for 0da to take advantage of d@zai, and marveling at the size difference (no shit, thats a child,,,), etc. all sort of Dark things

But reluctantly I have to say that’s the internet for you. Normally I just ignore these ppl. Block the accounts posting them and their followers/interactions whatever and move on. Most ppl in the fandom don’t interact with this subset of bsd twt who are into this rlly dark stuff either.

However, one person’s tweet of the image with the caption that they better not see ppl being weird about it went viral and ofc, these ppl found it and instantly starts qrt’ing it with their explicit csa/rape hcs again much to the main fandom’s disgust.

And so yesterday, someone posted in response that they wished all 0dazai shippers dropped dead. The person posting this was a minor and instantly got dog piled by 0dazai shippers and got very concerning replies from ppl (adult pr0ship accounts) threatening to touch them, saying that all 14 years olds should be raped, calling them slurs, etc. and other really fucking gross / inappropriate things to say to a child

I don’t condone death threats at all but there’s no world where that type of reply is appropriate to anyone, let alone a minor. (That said too, on twt I see death threats left and right, they’re used so lightly there- doesn’t make it right but the meaning is far less serious due to how saturated it is imo)

Naturally this all fucking exploded and a whole bunch of huge bsd twt accounts have recently come out condemning the situations and pr0shippers/0dazai shippers in general including one person in the fandom who many ppl on twt largely consider the sweetest person in the fandom. I follow some of these bigger accounts and a lot of my mutuals have been talking abt it too so even though I have the ship blocked, I still see a lot of screenshots of some of the darker stuff said abt both the ship and against the minor who condemned the shippers

Overall though this whole situation is incredibly triggering to me personally as a csa victim so I may be stepping back from twt for a bit cause it just makes me rlly anxious aaa -
