Marc not being with Vale in Austin is fine because Vale crashed anyway and it's been a week since Argentina and Vale is still processing what Marc said (and it's not like they picked each other 100% of the time when things were fineTM, so, anyway)

Marc not picking Vale in Sachsenring, though? After the moment they had in Barcelona? Definitely feels wrong and Vale burns with jealousy (which was Marc's plan all along) (Vale goes out that night and picks up someone and it's the least satisfying one night stand he's had in forever) (and he's fully the one to blame for it)

I think it also shows Vale that Marc is not as desperate as he might have thought (and let's face it, there was obviously something satisfying thinking he had the upper hand there) and it fucks him up a little too

so!!! this au hath been set in the 2016 season where marc is half agony half hope.... one word from you would silence me forever.... so marc is um. winning a lot, and choosing valentino every time like. please talk to me. and as youve said initially its like i have nothing to say to you!! you betrayed me!! and then as it goes on a gradual thawing and they are having like. intense tender fraught winners room sex the ENTIRE time like insane people. marc fully lowkey like once he unblocks me the wedding is back on... and then as youve said in catalunya vale picks marc and blows his back out and theyre both soooo kind of. tired. of pretending that they dont like this so i think there IS a moment where marc tells a dumb joke and vale laughs (SEX LAUGHERS TILL I DIE) and then his eyes get all soft and marc leans in and its a very sweet kiss and a very sweet moment and they both think. maybe..... marc's breath caught in his chest vale's thumb on his cheek....

but this is rosquez the GOATs of motorsport divorce (no one tell me the brocedes lore shhh) so i think vale makes an offhanded comment in front of marc about picking up or something. maybe talks to uccio and blocks marc's number after he tries to call him afterwards... SOMETHING happens that pisses marc off idk what. and the next time he wins in germany hes like fine. okay. i wont choose valentino he clearly doesnt want me to. so he chooses dovi and they dont fuck but they do let everyone THINK they fucked (dovi is lowkey sad about this. cal crutchlow known marc fucker and p2 this race is despondent that he didnt get chosen.) and vale feels LITERALLY INSANE... sitting at home thinking about marc with dovi... cant get it out of his head....

trying to plot out a xichen/huaisang emma au solely for the purposes of slotting jin guangyao and nie mingjue into the already married siblings role. in theory this leaves us with no one to play emma's dad but no they're both emma's dad for maximum impact. and obviously jin guangyao is also the nanny. and it ends with huaisang vowing to be worse, actually.

Has anyone ever written a modern AU of Jane Eyre in which Jane is a downtrodden state school teacher who quits her job to take one of those insane private tutoring jobs - £80,000 pa to do literally everything for the spoilt daughter of mysterious businessman Edward Fairfax Rochester, mostly aboard his fancy yacht?

For a while Jane, deep in an article on the virtues of the Finnish educational model, did not notice that she was being stared at. Then she looked up and stared at her employer directly.

"What?"

He pushed his sunglasses further down his nose to observe her over the top of them. "It must get you lots of likes. Being here."

Jane looked carefully around her. The deck of the Thornfield with its pristine bar and elegant lounge chairs. The sparkling sea all around them. The rugged coast of a sun-drenched Greek island on the horizon. "I don't know what you mean."

"On Instagram. Or tiktok. Or whatever it is you young people use."

Jane glanced down at her phone and smiled slightly. "I don't use social media."

One raised eyebrows. "Curious! You interest me. Why not?"

"It's brain rot. I loathe everything about it."

"Well, you are a barrel of laughs, Jane!" He took a swig from his bottle. "Have a beer."

"No, thank you, sir. Anyway, you don't pay me to be funny."

"Good thing too, it would be a poor investment. So you are not funny, you post nothing to social media. Tell me, then, most slippery Thetis, what do I pay you for?"

She stared at him. "You pay me to get Adele into Cambridge."

"So I do. I had forgotten. And how does the little rascal?"

Sitting up straighter, Jane parroted, "Adele is making very good progress in most areas. In English, her core attainment is now at a grade 6 and in Mathematics, I am pleased to report that she is developing her understanding of the main features of trigonometry. Her French is of course-

"Enough!" He waved his hand at her. "I was right, Jane, you are not at all amusing. Continue with whatever it was you were doing."

Jane subsided, but could not concentrate on the article. Although Mr. Rochester's eyes were no longer visible behind his sunglasses, she could feel the weight of their gaze on her back, even as she retreated back to her cabin.

im more excited for the surgery than anything i miss reading books, and my college is like light load, i only do one course at a time. currently im doing math. which i LOVE. not being sarcastic btw i literally had this course switched out with another one because i wanted to to do it so bad.

*deep inhale* SO THE AU. its a crack au thats been rationalized to the sun and back (i literally have a timeline that lines up with the books in cannon) (up to unlocked because thats as far as I've read) (along with more than one doc of backstories)

ok so if you think about it would make hell of a lot of sense if Sophie had a twin. the forkles are twins and they did a lot of research on twins, automatic cognate, back up in case one moonlark dies, backup in case one is evil, more points of view, more weapons to manipulate. etc.

so in my au Sophie has a twin she didn't know existed, there was large debate over weather to put one of the girls in the neutral territories because it seemed cruel to do that to a baby especially and because it would be more difficult to keep an eye on her with the way the neutral territories. the Forkles where very set on putting one in the neutral territories but they where out voted on the matter because the rest of the collective didn't feel it was right to put a newborn out there.

the fork men where going to have one put in the neutral territories weather the rest of the collective was ok with it or not, because that was their moonlark. while they where putting all the important black swan information in the newborns mind, one took the stronger twin and left with her leaving for the neutral territories while the other waited for Livvy to come back so he could wait for her to panic over one of the babies going missing and wipe her mind turning the emotion into fear over one of the babies dying.

the twin is placed with a group in the neutral territories that acted as a family unit and was a mix of Elves Goblins, and Gnomes, with a few pyrokentics mixed in one of them became the twins mom and named her Josie (Josie's family set up is so fun actually) (several of them have super fun aka angsty backstories)

The black swan had a planting for the actually not dead twin and decide not to ever tell Sophie about her because what good would telling her that she has a dead sister she never got to meet and who was supposed to be by her side through all of the shit she goes though.
