ahh i'm glad you're doing well!! i hope your surgery goes well & college isn't beating you up too bad

also TELL ME ABOUT THE AU??? PRETTY PLEASE??

im more excited for the surgery than anything i miss reading books, and my college is like light load, i only do one course at a time. currently im doing math. which i LOVE. not being sarcastic btw i literally had this course switched out with another one because i wanted to to do it so bad.

*deep inhale* SO THE AU. its a crack au thats been rationalized to the sun and back (i literally have a timeline that lines up with the books in cannon) (up to unlocked because thats as far as I've read) (along with more than one doc of backstories)

ok so if you think about it would make hell of a lot of sense if Sophie had a twin. the forkles are twins and they did a lot of research on twins, automatic cognate, back up in case one moonlark dies, backup in case one is evil, more points of view, more weapons to manipulate. etc.

so in my au Sophie has a twin she didn't know existed, there was large debate over weather to put one of the girls in the neutral territories because it seemed cruel to do that to a baby especially and because it would be more difficult to keep an eye on her with the way the neutral territories. the Forkles where very set on putting one in the neutral territories but they where out voted on the matter because the rest of the collective didn't feel it was right to put a newborn out there.

the fork men where going to have one put in the neutral territories weather the rest of the collective was ok with it or not, because that was their moonlark. while they where putting all the important black swan information in the newborns mind, one took the stronger twin and left with her leaving for the neutral territories while the other waited for Livvy to come back so he could wait for her to panic over one of the babies going missing and wipe her mind turning the emotion into fear over one of the babies dying.

the twin is placed with a group in the neutral territories that acted as a family unit and was a mix of Elves Goblins, and Gnomes, with a few pyrokentics mixed in one of them became the twins mom and named her Josie (Josie's family set up is so fun actually) (several of them have super fun aka angsty backstories)

The black swan had a planting for the actually not dead twin and decide not to ever tell Sophie about her because what good would telling her that she has a dead sister she never got to meet and who was supposed to be by her side through all of the shit she goes though.

yknow i never noticed the sheer rareness of images having ids or alt text on this website until i started adding alt text to my art (and trying to remember to add it to any images i post in general, especially text screenshots) and that makes me kinda sad

i do unironically think the best artists of our generation are posting to get 20 notes and 3 reblogs btw. that fanfic with like 45 kudos is some of the best stuff ever written. those OCs you carry around have some of the richest backstories and worldbuilding someone has ever seen. please do not think that reaching only a few people when you post means your art isn't worth celebrating.

#i often wonder about how many things would be considered classic or high art had they only received the marketing #how many short films that were made for class could have been the most powerful thing you'd ever seen? if you'd seen them?#“you know the greatest films of all time were never made” etc etc #but like. these works of art ARE being made. it's just enjoyed by a smaller audience with equal impact though #i think about this one furry i used to follow on insta who had the coolest worldbuilding ever. it's been years.#thought prompted by that sketch of nimona from ten years ago that was just for a character design #posted to the creator's tumblr and now it's nominated for best animated feature film at the oscars #and by the genuine emotional reaction a fan comic made me feel. how much work had gone into it. how beautiful it was to me.#idk what to tag this but i hope whoever needs to hear it does #writing #writer #fandom #fandom culture #artist
