would clover be adopted by the ketsukanes, or the birbs i.e martlet, or starlo's family in the deltarune yellow au?

(before i answer this question properly, i wanna mention that i renamed my deltarune yellow's clover to rowen, for the frisk/kris parallels. i'm also open to better anagrams of clover for rowen's name)

this was a hard thing for me to figure out, actually, because none of them gave me strong parental vibes? like in a "clover gets revived post-pacifist" au story, i have trouble imagining clover living with anyone but toriel. she's that much of a mom. but given the worldbuilding i've done around this au already, that's really not an option...

the closest parental vibes i get are actually from ceroba, but she's still an alcoholic widow who's not coping with anything well, so i don't think she'd want to or be able to raise a second kid. starlo and martlet give me cool uncle and big sister vibes respectively though.

ultimately i went with martlet being rowen's foster parent! i figure that would be the most realistic option while still being decently close to their dynamic in uty.

Books of 2023: CONVERSATIONS ON WRITING by Ursula K. Le Guin with David Naimon.

Currently dual wielding books, over here--I've never really been big on reading two different fiction books at once, but I can pair fiction with nonfiction just fine.

I haven't read as much nonfiction as I'd hoped to this year (overcorrecting from last year, apparently), so I'm excited to get back into some Writers Writing about Writing stuff while I cool off of my current project before I gear up for NaNo. This one starts with "In Memoriam," though, so I suspect it'll probably break my heart a little bit. This is Fine™.

apologies for a weird ask + you don't have to answer if you have to but in regards to. systemhood. how did you guys work on communication, establishing it specifically? questioning sys; asking on anon bc i do not want people to know until i am. more sure of it (said as if i don't get a massive headache when implying there is nobody in the brain but me) thank you for humoring the odd request 🙇🙇

oh no worries !!! but also i had that same headache thing and turned out to be a system, so 👀 /lh

anyway !! we pretty much just had decent communication from the beginning? but when the others are like... farther inside (if that makes sense) one of the closer alters usually has to relay messages/bring them closer to the front so we can talk!

but yeah for me as long as someone is close to the front we can communicate pretty much seamlessly... all of it's done like, internally? so we can just talk to each other direct in the headspace. for some systems that doesn't work though (as far as i know) so if you can't hear your headmates in your head like i can, try maybe making a private discord server, or writing stuff down, or using a notes app if you wanna communicate!! some alters also just. don't have an interest in communicating or even interacting outside of the system (i have a few that just kinda hang around and rarely speak to me or anyone outside) so that could also be the case! at least. for me that's been the experience. every system is different :3

but yeah i don't really have a super good answer tbh ;w; we can just talk and share information as needed/wanted for the most part.

#but yeah i have like... usually between 2 and 4 others active with me at any given time? with usually one or two more doing stuff in the #headspace and not in front ! like niki's always here as is sonata; bluebird's usually in the periphery; and sena whimsy and ousama come and #go as they want. sometimes chiffon fronts but that's rarer lately #so yeah !! i think internally some of the others also leave notes and stuff for alters who are less active to keep them up to date on stuff #like bluebird keeps an archive and stuff and fills the others in ! so that's also a thing <3 #i'm sure other people have better advice but ! this is just my experience #but yeah anon if you have any other questions just ask :3 !!
