Hi to my ever so amazing mutuals! I know we’re all struggling and it’s so hard. But I just exited a very abusive relationship but in that I also lost my only safe haven from my even more abusive family. I’ve been actively searching for work since I graduated In May but I’ve had minimal luck, I’m both mentally and physically disabled as well as struggling with an undiagnosed autoimmune disorder that’s been tearing me up for two years now. And I desperately need help getting meds and getting out of my abusive family home. At this point anything at all helps. I’m an artist in many forms writing, singing, and painting/drawing/photography. So I can also offer artwork in exchange. Please anything helps. My cash app is $shiesa my Venmo is $shiesac my PayPal and google pay are [email protected]
I’ll attach some art and pics of my one eyed cat who is my love and saving grace, Angela Davis, below.

I'm still learning on a daily! I am also working on me daily! I'm learning that taking a break DEFINITELY doesn't me that I am a failure. We all need breaks sometimes so we can mentally, emotionally and physically get it together. I am doing much better on not being so hard on myself. I thought growth meant you are moving constantly with goals but I've learn that being in stillness is growth too! It is ok to be still so you can hear and see what you are suppose to receive. I'm a Taurus (♉ gang gang) and we don't do well with changes. I am learning to be more patient with myself while I adapt, especially with me now being fully reliant to my chariot ♿. It is not easy y'all. I am better at allowing myself to recharge and rest my brain because it be going, going and going. What are things that you are still learning? Are there some things you are still struggling with?! This is a safe space to share if you like... #LifeofanEDSerwomanofcolor #edsawareness #wheelchairuser #ehlersdanlossyndrome #dystonia #advocate #zebrastrong #wheelchaircommunity #differentlyabled #invisibleillness #blackanddisabled #disabledlife #disableandproud #workingonmeonthedaily #healingme #AnaUnicornZebra #blackdisabledlivesmatter #MentalHealthMatters #positivemindset #growthmindset #checkyourself #keepfighting💪🏾 #keepsmiling😊💕💜

Hello! My name is Jess and I volunteer for an organization in Wisconsin called Disability Pride Madison. I found your blog through the #BlackAndDisabled hashtag. Typically, our org hosts an annual summer festival to celebrate disabled communities of Madison. This year, due to COVID-19, we're going virtual instead, and doing a showcase of Black Disabled artists. For allowing us to feature work on our website, artists can receive a stipend of $250. In these perilous economic and political times, we want to support Black Disabled people everywhere by boosting their platforms. If you're interested, know anyone who might be interested, or have any questions, please let me know! Link to sign up is here: https://forms.gle/KjR7ujLWqyBhp5hG6 Thank you! Jess (PS I'm the one who just venmo'd you!)
My response: thank u so much for the opportunity! I’m not really an artist! I just sort of talk and answer questions lol Any black disabled folks who art wanna give this opportunity a gander??

Happy autism acceptance month everyone! It’s great to be back on Tumblr after years of hiding due to fear of censorship from the platform.

Powerful word right here! Detach! I've had to detach myself from people a lot these past few weeks. When people are codependent on you to help them make the right choices and or decisions and they do the otherwise, then what is the point of even asking. To them we are that "strong" friend or that friend that tell it like it is with no chaser, and yet when you speak on something that you see... then it is a problem. I'm a person that if you see something, say something but my saying something put people in their feelings. Being detach from them for me is to still love but from a distance. The choices that people make reflects them and not you! You can not make and or even suggest that someone move differently for the greater good for themselves if they don't want to. So learn to detach and still love those but from a distance... #LifeofanEDSerwomanofcolor #edsawareness #wheelchairuser #ehlersdanlossyndrome #dystonia #advocate #zebrastrong #wheelchaircommunity #differentlyabled #invisibleillness #blackanddisabled #disabledlife #disableandproud #workingonmeonthedaily #healingme #disabledandblack #detachment #2020isclarity #keepfighting💪🏾 #keepsmiling😊💕💜 #AnaUnicornZebra

I speak a lot about my childhood because I honestly did not have much of one. I was doing and making adult decisions before even being close to one. I've always heard I have an "old soul" and I'm "so mature for my age". It took me being back in therapy to realize that I was in survival mode most of my life. I was introduced to drugs and crack houses at the age of 7 because of a drug addicted uncles. I still have flashbacks some times from it. My innocence was taken away for sure. I'm grateful being in a place and space to speak on it now. It was hard to talk about and I kept a lot bottled up and I know that there was a lot of coping mechanisms that I did that wasn't healthy in my life. I saw too much at the age I was. I know a lot of us are going through some severe childhood traumas especially during this pandemic. We are kinda forced to face what is really going on. Therapy is a great way to get through it. Yet even just writing it out in a journal. Speaking to someone that you can trust or even speaking to your parents can help to, if they are ready to listen to what pain their lack of or whatever caused you. Know that you are not alone! Mental health is very important right now and we all need to make sure we take accountability for what has brought us to where we are now whether good or not so good. Do what is best for your healing when you are ready! #LifeofanEDSerwomanofcolor #edsawareness #wheelchairuser #ehlersdanlossyndrome #dystonia #advocate #zebrastrong #wheelchaircommunity #differentlyabled #invisibleillness #blackanddisabled #disabledlife #disableandproud #workingonmeonthedaily #healingme #AnaUnicornZebra #blackdisabledlivesmatter #MentalHealthMatters #positivemindset #growthmindset #checkyourself #copingmechanisms #childhoodtrauma #blacktherapy #keepfighting💪🏾 #keepsmiling😊💕💜

Dear Body,
First let me say Thank You! Thank you for being the vessel that was chosen for me to live in this realm of reality. I know we can some times have a love/hate relationship, yet I truly appreciate you! We have been going through some rough challenges lately and there have been times when I wanted to give up. I am grateful that I continue to push through despite of what has been happening lately. Through all the pain, dislocations, subluxations, muscle spasms and even now with esophageal spasms that I love you! I think you are beautiful even with the bloating. I hope to fall more and more in love with you in due time. I am learning to appreciate you more even on the not so good days. I give thanks! I know tonight is one of our rough nights but I know we will get through it. I inhale love and exhale hate. I inhale peace and I exhale negative thinking. It maybe a long night but we will see the sunrise! I love you body! Thank you for everything!
Love,
A

Learning to love this new adventure in my life is something that has been hard for me. I struggle daily with knowing that this is my new normal just like we are all struggling with what is going on with the world and accepting this new normal. As much as I want to resist it, I can't. I have to embrace it no matter what. I can't allow others words and opinions talk me out of what I know is best for me. I can't allow others that do not know my body tell me what I should and shouldn't be doing. I have to tune it out and remind myself that I came in this world by myself and I will leave by myself. I am responsible and have to answer to my actions and not the actions, words, opinions of others. This is my new life no matter how much I wish it wasn't. I can't keep hurting myself trying to be what others want me to be or pushing me to go beyond the limits my body. I am my own person and I know what my body needs. It takes me to fall in love with this woman and new way of life. It starts with me and no one else.... (just using my platform for healing. Someone else may need to see this as well. I am ok just working on me daily and this is the way I know how to work through it. No need for phone calls and texts messages. I am good. Just healing) #LifeofanEDSerwomanofcolor #edsawareness #wheelchairuser #ehlersdanlossyndrome #dystonia #advocate #zebrastrong #wheelchaircommunity #differentlyabled #invisibleillness #blackanddisabled #disableandproud #workingonmeonthedaily #healingme #selfacceptance #lifeonwheels♿ #acceptance #AnaUnicornZebra #blogger #tumblr #keepfighting💪🏾 #keepsmiling😊💕💜
