"I must admit that I'd give you the sun if I could pluck it from the sky to compliment your smile, you could wear it around your neck.. a pendant of true love. Something sparkly and bright to compliment your eyes, I think you and the sun have a lot in common.. you both lighten up my life every morning til night, and I just might grrrrrrrr bite your lip the next time we kiss."
You are so hot that planets revolve around you - eUë

All the other trending tags on tumblr are actually things everyone is talking about but the top tag by a large margin is obviously just being used by bots to try to spread posts and thats the funniest bullshit

A crackling fire on the edge of the lake in front of me
The cloudy sky sprinkling rain above me
Damp dirt and pine needles below my feet
The wind blowing through my hair
His hand in mine

You know I read dracula in high school. I imagined this would be similar to in school where I kept having to write down the dates to match it up because my brain hated the non linear aspect. (Literally had a sheet labeled BDA- before dracula arrival and ADA-after dracula arrival and AFA-after first attack.)
I knew it was in chronological order, I just expected it to be incomprehensible in that specific manner. And I am so happy its 100% actually easier to read and flows just fine.
Also reading this on the tail end of reading Hunger Pangs after finally managing to get it onto my ancient nook and while running three CoS games is amazing because:
1. I knew Dracula was a pervasive influence over most vampire media that was good. I am being slapped in the face once more with just how blatant some of that influence is and it is delicious.
2. I remember next to nothing of the plot. Where did all my memories of the actual contents of the book go? All I remember is extreme frustration and annoyance at trying to figure out what the hell was going on.
3. Unintentionally being reminded of being in school. I loved vampires even then and the amazing librarians there would hold new vampire fiction hostage from me until I read another chapter of Dracula because 'trust me you will thank me later.' (I did. They were great.)
4. Dracula is confusing as hell in non chronological order. I don't think we actually meet the man in person in the normal way of reading it until at least a third of the way in.
