The one in the first picture is Hamburger, n I named her Hamburger bc of the ‘hold birb gentle like hamburger’ meme. She yelled at me earlier for standing on the other side of the fence
the chickens are funky , and one of them is hiding in the last photo, Zoro I think , behind the bridge into their house

Love🩷
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Have an extra bit of love today. Love your mom, your dad, your sisters and bros, your friends, your s/o, your cat and dog, your birb and rabbit, even that tiny little flower standing on your window!
Then, first and foremost, stand before the mirror and love that person, staring back at you. 🩷
//very sorry if there are any mistakes, i tried my best to be on time with it🐱
🌙The characters displayed in the comics remain in strictly platonic relationships, are embodiment of innocence and sweetness. They do not contain a trapped, poor soul of a broken child, nor a scientist. They are seated in the cartoon world, which is not influencing PoppyPlaytime’s original storyline🌙

companion piece of young Zelda
AAHH i finally finished something :'D
it actually took more thought to trawl through my feelings about Link as a child than Zelda but we got there idk man i just knew he exudes gremlin energy as a 17 to 20-something year old so he must have been a little demon as a kid gfkdjfkd
we're sort of looking at roughly 4, 7 and 10 years old here feeding sum pigeons, playing soldiers, and doing some baking !!!
more detailed Thoughts under the cut 💙
iiitssss customary ranting about my BotW/TotK opinions tiiiimeeee welcome my darlingsss jfkdjfkd 💙
like i said, this took more thought than Zelda, but we also dont know as much about Link's upbringing so thats fair
having said that, we know his father was a knight - a prominent one - and its hinted at that his family may have owned the Hateno house you can buy from Bolson. im not sure if i land on it being the family / childhood home or belonging to like a grandparent but i like to think Link spent time in Hateno as a kid (im a great fan of bumpkin Link with a country accent aight im a simple man). no mention of any OTHER family members, but imo i think his mother was still around and he probably had younger siblings !! he DID probably spend a fair amount of time in Castle Town just due to his father's job though, to be fair he probably travelled a little as a youngster a-la army posting yknow ... moving on tldr that explains why i've got a bunch of Hateno-esque clothing here aside from us sort of not knowing what the average joe Castle Town citizen from back in the day would have worn idk man its cute also
SO, pigeons !!! i'll definitely expand on this later when i go over more livestock now ive finished TotK but listen i wouldnt be in the least bit surprised if pre-Calamity Hylians had domestic pigeons for sending messages or just for hobby, so here's a first look at the Castle Town Carrier, the Hylian army's best flying friends. Link's just out here feeding his fathers' cohort's messenger birbs :3
stimky boy plays soldiers with a stick and a pot lid and a tub, classic and good, he was probably like ... actually tactically aware at this age though lets be real lol i bet it was annoyingly impressive
C A R R O T C A K E its a bit wonky, but i bet it tastes great :') id imagine Link probably spent a fair amount of time helping around the house and boy loves his food !! some people develop those skills early !!! i bet he was one of those people !!! any chance to get involved and learn how to make his faves and make them for other people yknow, food as a love language everyone HEYO (bowl there is chickaloo tree nuts, hazelnut analog eyo)
ghfjkdjfkd i said i didnt have much to say about this but oops

Formling Morro AU!
Morro was a normal formling child born in the never realm up until ??? and he got chucked into ninjago at the ripe old age of like 6ish. Something something average homeless kid morro shenanigans Wu adopts him.
Morro knows he's a formling, and he does actually remember a good bit of formling culture, especially the ceremony where kids get their animal form. And he's really sad about it. Being in ninjago and not the never realm and completely separated from all the other formlings he's of course sad cause there's no way he'll be able to do the ritual correctly and he'll never get his animal form
Wu knows Morro's sad and sometime close to when the ceremony is supposed to happen (I imagine it happens on the 12th or 13th birthday or so) Wu gets him talking about it and learns everything he can about the ceremony. Come Morro's 13th birthday he wakes up very sad and depressed and comes out of his room to a whole lot of people. Wu of course, Misako, Garmadon (took a break from evil school to help his brother with his basically son), Mystake, and various elemental masters. Before Morro can say anything Wu reminds him that the journey has to be done in silence. Basically Wu got all his friends to come and help him set up what is as close to the ceremony as could get. It's not perfect and pretty inaccurate but Morro is so happy about it (even if he dosent think it'll work). All the friends give Morro various gifts to help him on his journey, Wu does the little face paint thing (hope I'm remembering that correctly I haven't watched s11 in a while), makes Morro promise (silently) to be safe and come home, and sends him off on his journey to get his animal form
And it works! After nearly a week of traveling Morro gets his animal form, which is obviously a bird. It's similar to one of these things cause they look cool as fuck (they're called bearded vultures) but he probably has a less goofy looking face and not red/orange. Very big birb <3
Tumblr media
He comes home and Wu is so proud of his son and everything is good forever (until the prophecy ruins morros life) <3
Haven't figured out the rest of the details yet but it's probably just a modified s5 where Morro is birb and then something something Morro redemption something something wholesome father son relationship <3
Shit ABSOLUTELY happens in s11 when the ninja go to the never realm but I haven't figured out the details yet. Definitely gonna be some fun shit though.
Bonus: wu holding his son <3

"Can you fly me around with your ice?!" a child exclaimed looking up at the bi-colored hero with excitement.
"Uum... ice is technically to hard to fly around with." He explained with crossed arms, "But I can transport you to places...almost like a car I guess?"
"Why the hell are we even here for?!" The blonde yelled looking annoyed with the amount of weird questions that he kept on getting.
"Come on, Kaachan." His friend calmly said, "You said you wanted to tag along too remember?"
"Y-yeah to teach them about being a hero," Kaachan explained. "N-not to deal with weird kids who won't even listen a word I f-"
"Language, Bakugo." Best Jeanist interrupted him. "Remember we are an example for these future heroes."
He looked away, grumbling under his breath.
"Then why is feathers, flirting with the teachers?" He questioned pointing at Hawks, "I thought we were supposed to talk with the kids!"
Best Jeanist followed his pointing finger and saw Hawks talking with you. He sighed, knowing this was going to happen eventually but thought it would take longer than five minutes.
"Make sure to keep an eye on the students." He said talking to Endeavor and walked over to your group.
"I gotta say I'm amazed at how high the kids spirits are." Keigo said looking at you. "Nowadays it is difficult to make sure they don't lose hope just because they're not like everyone else."
You knew he meant those words sincerely, especially since the cases of bullying have risen recently.
"I honestly at times can't protect them from feeling like an outsider in a world where they belong." You explained looking at them as they surrounded the dirty blonde with happiness. "I want to do all I can to make sure their confidence isn't broken when they go to junior high. They deserve to feel like heroes in their own lives whether they have quirks or not."
"Our colleagues and friends have focused on making sure their worth isn't justified by the family their born into or the quirk their relatives might have that they don't." Mio added, "We want them to live like the kids they are."
"Whether they decide to go into a field of public service or pursue a career of what they're passionate about we don't want them to forget their worth." Hizashi spoke up, "They're just as important as heroes."
Keigo saw the look of endearment and passion in your eyes. It was visibly shown to anyone who looked your way, how much you care about them. Now he understands why you stayed up most nights when he visited your family, you were preparing lesson plans even on your days off.
"Hawks!"
He jumped back in surprise seeing Best Jeanist standing in front of him. Keigo composed himself and gave him a dazzling smile making Mio swoon over him.
"Hey buddy! How are the kids treating you?"
"You are supposed to be with them as well, they've been asking about you." He said.
"I just came over here for a minute to talk with some of their teachers." Keigo explained, "Let me introduce you to Mio Takahashi, Rio Hizashi, and last but not least (first name) (last name)."
"It's very nice to meet you." Best Jeanist said shaking each of your hands.
"No, the pleasure is all ours." You said as Mio and Hizashi nodded. "I'm very happy to see everyone took some time to come and visit our students during their sports festival. We really appreciate it, it means a lot to them to see you guys."
"Hawks called us over as soon as he got the call from the principle." He explained, "We did not hesitate to agree, we wanted to come and meet them."
You knew he was such a humble hero but your respect for him went far above and beyond.
"Ah, Mr. Hawks! Mr. Best Jeanist!" The principle yelled out. "Our next event is about to start soon, we would love for you to participate with our students."
"Of course we would be honored to help out the little heroes!" Keigo exclaimed.
"Thank you!" She smiled, "The next event will be a tug of war between all classes. You can go ahead and choose a class as well as your students, we would love it if they joined in too."
"I'll go and let them know." Best Jeanist said.
"Do you mind if I tag along too?"
"Not at all."
It was plainly obvious that the principle had a crush on him, or really admired him.
"Mrs. Kimura is a big, fan huh?" Keigo said.
"That goes without saying." You chuckled lightly.
"Oh, (name) do you have the number tags?" Hizashi asked.
"Right, I forgot to bring them out." You sigh, "I'll go get them."
"Is it alright if I tag along?" Keigo asked looking at you sweetly.
"I can go-" Hizashi was about to say but you shook your head.
"It's alright. It shouldn't take me too long."
"I insist, plus I kinda wanna see the school from the inside too." Keigo insisted.
Looking in between them it was hard to choose, still Keigo decided to come and visit you at your work place.
"Okay," you said earning a smile from him. "You did take some time to come see the students so I'll give you a tour then."
"Awesome!"
You looked at Hizashi, "We'll be back in a bit."
He nodded and you two walked off by yourselves towards your classroom. As soon as you got some more distance and were sure there was no one else you spoke up.
"How come you did not tell me that you were coming?"
Keigo stopped, you mirrored his movement, to look at you.
"I wanted it to be a surprise." He explained, "I've seen the way you work yourself out for them." His hands rested on your shoulders, slowly they went down your arms, giving your body goosebumps, and stopped on both your wrists. "I wanted to meet the students that stole my wife's heart."
"I'm just- I'm still surprised that you're here, Keigo." You softly spoke, "It feels somewhat normal... like you came to visit on a random day..." There was a bit of hesitation on the last words you wanted to say to him.
A smile formed on his face as he used one of his hands to reach up and hold your cheek.
"Like a husband does?" He said, "Visiting his wife at her work place?"
Your lips parted, "Well-"
"I admit it I did not know if it was a good idea to come considering how things have been. But... when I heard it was the name of the same school you were working at I did not want to waste any time and automatically said yes without thinking."
Keigo was... interested in my school, because of me?
"I only heard a few stories about this place." He continued looking around at the colored walls that separates each classroom from the last. His eyes then landed on yours, his smile not faltering. "I wanted to visit the place that holds a special place in your heart... in hopes to learn more about you."
"K-keigo..."
With every person you had ever known, they never managed to make you feel like he does. Given that you have only known him for less than four months, it blows you away. Keigo was different, in your eyes.
"You have no idea how much it means to me that you're here." You confessed, "My parents are far too busy and far away to come see where I work. Himiko... well things are difficult with her at the moment. I wanted to share my everyday life with someone, to tell them about the shenanigans or activities my students did. Now that I got married to you and I have been able to tell you about it all , it's made my life a whole lot better than I ever realized."
Keigo's heart started to pick up a different type of rhythm.
"Keigo I-!" your eyes widened for a moment then they faltered, making his smile disappear.
"Tell me what you're thinking, (name)."
Biting your lip you tried to figure out if what you wanted to say would affect him in some way. Right now you felt blessed to have someone like him in your life. Keigo became another piece to your whole puzzle. A piece you weren't sure yet about how important his part has played a role.
"Whatever it might be," he gently tilted your head back to meet your eyes. "You can tell me."
Your eyes started to get covered with a transparent liquid, making it quite blurry to see.
"I did not realize how much you would change my life..." You blinked the tears letting them roll down your cheek but as always he was there to prevent them from hitting the ground. "I mean I know I-I sometimes over phrase everything and think it but don't say it. Up until now I watched the little things you have done for me even since before we ever got married."
As you spoke, our brain started to replay all those moments.
"You never hesitated to get closer to me even when I was too shy to speak. Anyone else would have given up but you didn't. I don't know if since then I felt safe to be with you but as time passes by and we spend time together... you're someone I do not ever want leaving my side."
"I'm starting to realize the same thing," On instinct he leaned his head down closer trying to close the gap between you both. "Everyday you are making me the happiest person than I ever was. You are molding me into someone better, and I want you to know that you are the reason because of this."
"Keigo..." you breathed out feeling tears slipping faster.
His eyes travelled down from your (color lips) lips to your eyes hoping to get a sign or a one word answer to his silent plea.
Little by little you felt yourselves gravitating to towards one another, closing the gap between you both. Your eyes not breaking away from one another. Slowly, leaning in giving the other enough time to pull away in case there was regret.
What seemed like inches away suddenly became just a centimeter between you both. Without any sign of hesitation, your lips finally met in the middle.
Eyes widening with surprise knowing well this was what you both wanted.
Keigo's eyes closed first as he started to lose himself in your lips. His hands holding both your cheeks, feeling him pulling you closer to him, wanting to get as close as possible.
Your body suddenly started to feel lighter. The weight you once felt on every limb suddenly disappeared. You were too shocked to close your eyes until you felt the way his lips moved in sync with your own.
Slowly they began to close, your hands moving to rest on each side of his waist. You started to sense the way your body was feeling against his.
As cliche as it sounds, it truly did feel like both your hearts were connected in that moment.
In his whole life he had vowed to never get romantically involved. All he wanted and focused on was protecting his mom from his villain father. He needed for her to feel safe in this world, without any fear of a villain attacking her.
But his view then changed once he met you. All of a sudden his world didn't seem so closed off. You became part of his life despite knowing everything about him, even then, you stayed. You opened up to him about things he never thought about.
And just like that, he grew accustomed to your routine of waking up, making breakfast, dinner, or waiting up for one another to make it back home safe and sound. It was a ritual, no, a rhythm he wanted to continue feeling for as long as you'd allow him to.
With flushed faces you both parted your lips, but your hold stayed still on one another.
"T-that... um." Keigo chuckled lightly suddenly feeling shy.
But you were in the same boat, "Y-yeah."
Both of you then erupted into soft laughter, you did not quite understood if it was the rush of how amazing it felt kissing one another or the fact that you were embarrassed to look at each other after such an intimate kiss.
Still, you looked at each other with happy filled dazed faces.
"(n-name)?"
The color drained from each other's faces as you heard a familiar voice calling out to you.
"Did you just-" they shook their head not even wanting to finish the sentence. "You didn't really... kiss Hawks, right?..."
Keigo held your hand tightly, intertwining his fingers with your own in a protective gesture.
"Mio..." Your close friend wasn't alone, "Hizashi..."
"What is going on?..." Hizashi questioned not bothering to look at Keigo.
"Listen... I swear that there's a good reason-"
"What reason is there for him to kiss you like that?!" He yelled.
Keigo stepped forward, "Let's not start yelling okay? We can talk it out like the adults we are-"
"I wasn't talking to you." Hizashi retorted, "For all I know you're just using her."
"Hizashi, Mio..." You sighed looking at them both. "I'm sorry I did not tell you the truth... but the person I married his Hawks."
"What?..."
"B-but you said he was a regular person!" Mio exclaimed.
"I'm sorry for deceiving you... I had to make up a fake husband in order to keep my real marriage a secret." You explained, "I had no other choice... we did not want to risk anything bad happening."
"Like what?" Mio asked not fully understanding anything that's going on. "What bad thing could possibly happen?"
"Listen, there's still some villains who are trying to settle the score with me." Keigo said, "The battle may be over but there's no telling when they might attack. I did not want to put (name) in harm's way."
"The why did you even ask her to marry you if this marriage was going to be a secret?"
"He didn't ask me to marry him." You said, "I was the one who asked him in exchange for a favor he was doing for my parents."
"You-"
"There you guys are!" The principle smiled as she approached you, "Miss (Last Name) did you find those number tags that we need?"
"Y-yeah! I apologize I got side tracked with showing Hawks around the school." You awkwardly chuckled.
"No worries, I understand. But please make sure to hurry the parents have been waiting along with the heroes."
"I will!" You exclaimed trying to smile as she looked at you before walking away. Once she was gone you turned to look at both your friends. "I know there's a lot of questions you both must have and I want to answer them."
"(name)'s right, you both are close to her and deserve to know the truth." Keigo said, "Why don't you two come by our house after the event is over with? We can explain it there more calmly."
Hizashi looked at Mio, and she looked back at him. There was uncertainty in each other's eyes, not knowing if there was any explanation to this situation.
"Okay." Mio said, "We'll come by after school after all this event is for the students and I don't want to ruin it for them."
Hizashi agree. "She's right, it is best if we talk somewhere private."
You nodded feeling a small relief that they'd be willing to hear you out. "Thank you."
"Alright is everyone ready?!" You spoke into the microphone, looking out at the scene in front of you.
"We're not losing!" Bakugo yelled feeling determined to win. "You guys better be pulling your weight too!"
"We are not about to let them win!" Sato exclaimed, "We're going to easily win this round."
"That's what I'm talking about!"
Midoriya started to feel a bit nervous now, "He sure does know how to get them excited it seems."
"Mr. Deku?" Suzuki spoke tugging at his sleeve. "Do you... think we're going to win?..."
Midoriya smiled, "Well they're good opponents I won't lie, but that doesn't mean we're going to lose without a fight right?"
"R-right!"
"On my mark," you said. "Ready?... Pull!"
"Start pulling!" Bakugo yelled.
"We can do this!" Midoriya retorted looking straight ahead as he pulled with all the strength he had.
"You're going down nerd!" He smirked gritting his teeth as he tugged at the long rope.
"I gotta say, they're an interesting group." You chuckled.
"I apologize for his sudden outbursts," Best Jeanist spoke. "He's a very explosive hero."
You shook your head, "Not at all. I understand, it's passion. If I had a quirk as well I'd probably be the same way as him."
"Does the principle not hire anyone who has a quirk?"
"Initially that was her plan but lately since more and more people are being born with quirks they usually take the route of becoming a hero." You explained, "These students might be the last ones to come here."
"What do you mean?"
Turning to look at him you continued, "A lot of more schools are being built and are being equipped with qualified teachers to help control their quirks. This school was built for people like us. We're normal teachers, so it won't be so surprising if they decide to tear this school down in the future."
"But there's still students who need teachers like you to guide them into the right path, whether they have a quirk or not."
A small smile formed on your lips, "I still have the thought o continuing to teach even if this school won't be here anymore. But it's hard to find a way to land a job at times."
"I promise we're going to try and figure something out." He said resting his hand on your shoulder. "This school has a great group of teachers, that need to continuing teaching."
"Thank you, Best Jeanist." You said, "It means a lot to have a heroes support for us regular folks."
"Hey!"
You jumped back in surprise.
Bakugo yelled looking a you, "Aren't you going to announce the winner?!"
"R-right, sorry about that!" You yelled back and picked up the microphone. "The winner is team Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight!"
Best Jeanist even clapped for him, making him smile wider in victory. The students then surrounded him, Sato ended up being carried and placed on his shoulder for the photo.
"Sorry, we couldn't win." Midoriya apologized.
You spoke walking over to them, "Don't. Everyone put in their effort and I can tell they had fun."
"Miss (last name)!" Suzuki yelled, as he rushed over to hug you.
"You guys did a great job." You wrapped your arm him, smiling softly. "I saw how strong you were pulling, Suzuki."
He shyly smiled, "I-I was able to do it... b-because of Mr. Deku's help. H-he helped me, by encouraging me."
"Thank you for lifting up his spirits. Suzuki tends to be a bit shy sometimes." You said looking at him, "I'm happy he got the chance to be on your team."
"Oh it was nothing." Midoriya smiled with a tilted head. "I'm happy they had fun even though we did not get to win."
"You were amazing!" Suzuki yelled pulling away from you and hugging him instead. "You're an amazing hero, Mr. Deku."
Midoriya's eyes lit up, his hold then tightened as he held Suzuki in his arms.
You decided to walk over to the rest of your students to congratulate them as well.
"Miss (last name)! Did you see me?!" Sato exclaimed. "Did you see how much I was pulling the rope?!"
"I did!" Crouching down in front of her you continued, "You guys did a great job pulling on that rope."
"It was all because I told them how to properly pull." Bakugo spoke with crossed arms in front of his chest.
"He did! Did you know it's best to lean back and plant your feet on the ground?!" She yelled with amazement. "It worked so cool!"
"I did not know that." You looked up at him, "You're quite an impressive hero Mr. Great Murder Explosion God Dynamight."
Bakugo's cheeks turned a light red, "O-of course I am!"
As the events progressed from last rounds of tug of war to the bigger obstacle course between heroes, your mind got distracted.
There was an anxious feeling in your chest, as the sports festival was starting to come to a close. You kept thinking about how your two close friend's would react to knowing the truth about it all.
All you could do was pray and hope that they would stay by your side to support you.
"Everything okay?" Keigo asked as he helped fold up the tables.
"Y-yeah..."
He placed the last table down next to the wall, "(name), I can tell something is on your mind."
"I'm just a bit worried about talking with them is all."
"Hey, everything is going to be fine." Keigo softly, reaching over to your hand to hold it for a second before pulling away. "They're your close friends, they care about you. So I'm sure they'll understand."
You nodded, "You're right... Hizashi and Mio will understand."
Keigo gave you a soft smile and looked both ways before he leaned down and pecked your lips.
"Keigo... s-someome could see us."
"Why do you think I did it quickly?" He teased, making you chuckle.
"Mr. Hawks!" You both looked to the side to see some of your students rushing over to him.
"Hey! What are you kiddos still doing here?"
"You're going to come back and visit right?!" Your youngest Sakura asked.
"Yeah you have to!" Hinata yelled, "You need to come back and see us!"
"Well I certainly hope so." Keigo answered ruffling his hair, "I would love to come back and visit you guys."
"Next time you'll take us somewhere to fly right?" Seiyo asked.
"Guys," you interrupted. "He may have a lot of feathers but he doesn't have enough to take you. He's a hero after all, he's going to them too."
"Awe!" Hinata whined, "Then can you make sure to tell him to come again next week, Miss (last name)?!"
"Yeah, will you ever invite me again Miss (last name)?" Keigo tagged along and even made puppy dog eyes.
He did look quite adorable.
"If it was for me I'd be happy to bring him back again to visit but it isn't up to me." You said, hearing their disappointment sighs. "But I will try and ask the principle."
"Yay!" Your students yelled.
"Now it's time to go home, okay?" You said seeing their parents waiting by the gate. "Your parents are waiting for you guys."
They nodded and bid Keigo goodbye, a smile rested on his face as he watched your students running, enjoying themselves without worry.
"They're an interesting group of kids," he said and turned to look at you. "They're going to go far someday."
"I hope I can continue to lead them down the right path."
"You will, they are lucky to have a teacher like you. I wished I had one exactly like you when I was a kid."
"Well if you ever need a teacher, I'm here." you chuckled lightly.
Keigo pulled you into a tight hug, not caring about anyone seeing you two. All he wanted was to hold you close and you weren't going to deny that a hug from him is what you needed the most.

Technoblade's Unintentionally Wholesome Orphanage [Sneak Peak]
Technoblade might’ve accidentally adopted a kid.
It wasn’t his fault the child decided to cling to him! Sure, he gave them some of the -stale, not particularly tasty- bread he’d bought a while back, but that was not a good enough reason to imprint on him like a bird. Wait- maybe it was? The kid appeared to be an avian of sorts. Ah.
baby birb chirpchirpchirpchirp lil bby bird <3 technodad DADNOBLADE!!!! poggers can we keep them? Do theY hAve a Name? ASKKSK! smol bean I want to nom on them EEEEEEeeeeee
‘Chat, if I acknowledge them they’ll think I’m accepting their claim or something.’ He wasn’t actually sure about that. Techno’s knowledge on avian hybrids was extremely limited. He’d only seen one of them before, back in Hypixel, during the MC Monday. They were to far away for him to make out their features, but the huge black wings were hard to miss.
SIR BLADE HOW DARE aWHH Pls ask!! so rude smh you don’t understand, we NEED to know their name bruhh technolame rudenoblade *sad chirp* WE WANT A NAME! GIVE US A NAME! Either find out or we’re naming them.
“Bruhh, we only met the kid like an hour ago. How are you already attached?!” Techno quietly complained. Not quietly enough, clearly, as the child in question let out a confused coo. The older let out an apprehensive sigh, unsure how to proceed now that Chat made it clear that they weren’t on the same page as him.
He glanced down at them, meeting their questioning gaze with his hesitant one. “So, what’s your name?”
Instead of answering, they tilted their head slightly, eye-brows furrowed in thought, before finally settling on a shrug.
“Okayyyy. Do you want to like- pick? A name?” He offered, unsure how to deal with the situation. The kid perked up at that and excitedly pointed at him. “Me? What about me?” Undeterred, they repeated the same motion again, more insistent this time. “You want me to what? Choose a name?” Got it in one, the child grinned and nodded. ‘Bruh why me-’
Ohohoh! How about Nathan? no, they look like an Angel! Bird. Tabris maybe? carlcarlcarlcarl caaaaaaaaaarl i agree with @meloncoook, it should be bird. techno jr.!!
Chat descended into chaos, throwing name after name at him to choose from, some more… original than others. Whoever said Technoblade Jr. will be banned later. One of the names stood out to him though, a genuinely fitting one, in his humble opinion.
“How about Tabris?”

It's a work-in-progress, and what I'm sharing right now will be rewritten 4-6 times before I'm actually going to post it along with the rest of the chapter. But I thought I'd share the beginning, and maybe get some ideas/suggestions/feedback or whatever.
I'll make sure to announce when the first few chapters are up on my ao3 (@capnko).
Thank you for reading! <3

I had 3 things I wanted to draw yesterday.
• Chayanne with black wings, like Phil. • Chayanne giving the lettuce seeds he found • Chayanne with his new pet birb
And then I thought, why not all 3??
Have a child made for fun and bliss.

Moving out
@toournextadventure Thank you for the amazing source material, that you made! love your writing! Keep it up!
a.n.: English is not my native language, but I tried my best this time too. May be bad also not just because of it, but because I rushed it a little. Needed to get it out of my system.
a.n. nr. 2.:This fiction is of an other fiction: Everyone but Her by the former mention. I guess you already read that if you are reading this, but if you don't then make sure to check it out.
a.n. nr. 3.:THIS IS FOR ALL THE MARCUS HATERS. I LOVE YOU ALL!
a.n. nr. 4.:While I was writing this, I didn't plan on making it hurt like this. It just somehow came naturally. Also I didn't want to write it this vividly, but it just felt RIGHT.
a.n. nr. 5.: Jericho here is literaly replaced by Woodsboro. Just because I wanted to. Some of the places stayed, like Wheathervane, but the rest is Woodsboro.
warnings: child abuse, very vivid abuse, blood (lots of it), very graphic violent scenes, birb unhinged, hurt (sooo much hurt) (bit comfort afterwards) I may have left some out, sry I'm not good at this yet...
word count: 4138 (sry)
Two new bruises. That’s what you got from your dad for defying him at the table yesterday evening. Luckily, you were great with makeup. You could easily paint over the purple patch, that made its way visible on your face. The other one was by your ribs. You would need to avoid hugging today. After making your scars disappear, you put on your Nevermore uniform and got ready to go to school.
You could have lived in Nevermore, if your parents weren’t so obsessive about you living with them. Woodsboro wasn’t that bad. You had friends here and a beautiful, great girlfriend. It was still a mystery to you, how Tara fell for you. She was a normie and went to Woodsboro high. You would have gone there too, but you begged your parents so much, that they finally gave in. Still, you needed to live with them.
When you and Tara met, it was in a small café called Weathervane. You expected her to be just as the other normies from her school; violent, prejudiced, and a colossal jerk. To your surprise, neither she, nor anyone from her friend group met these qualifications. You quickly got along with them and not far after that; she asked you out. It has been a year since that and you couldn’t be happier with her. Sure, she got a little possessive over you sometimes, but she did everything with care and love.
As you got out of the house, you silently closed the door behind you. Marcus wouldn’t get up for another hour, so you needed to stay as silent as possible. Otherwise, you would meet the same fate as yesterday evening. He did it, because he loved you.
‘He does it because he loves me.’ you repeated to yourself in your mind.
Sometime flew by when a car finally arrived for you. Weems smiled through the window. You forced yourself to smile back on her, as you got in the car, and gently hugged her. There was an agreement between her, and your parents. You would get to go to Nevermore, but she needed to take care of how you get there each morning and get back to Woodsboro after classes. She gladly transported you around. You offered to fly there and back, but Marcus wouldn’t hear of it.
You stayed silent during the drive. She didn’t disturb the silence, which you were grateful for. At home, there was always some fighting going on. Whether it was between Nicky and your father, or someone else, there was always something. Last year Nicky graduated, so he didn’t come with you since the year started. You still missed his presence.
When you arrived, she said that she’ll see you around, then went to her office. It was still half an hour ‘till classes started but you didn’t mind. It was time to find your friends and annoy them. Your first victim would be Yoko.
You found her in front of your classes room. With your immense sneaking skills, you tried to walk silently to her, and try and scare her, but were caught in the middle of the process.
“You know that doesn’t work on me, right?” she asked.
“Worth a try!” you smiled.
She opened her arms for a hug, which you took slowly.
“Ok, what is it his time?” she asked, immediately spotting your carefulness.
“I fell down the stairs at home. My ribs hurt like hell…”
“Fell, or were pushed?”
“Fell.”
You couldn’t see her eyes behind her black sunglasses, but her eyebrows were raised high. She clearly didn’t believe you, but she didn’t push it. Then she smiled menacingly and tilted her head so she could look behind you. Before you could react, two hands wrapped around your body, and you were dragged in a tight hug. A small groan escaped your mouth, as the pain hit you. You looked down on the hands that were gripping you. The nails were painted in the colours of a rainbow.
“Hello there, little bird!” Enid said from behind you.
“General Grievous!” you quoted back immediately. Yoko snorted as a reaction.
“Guess what!” Enid said.
“You wolfed out finally?”
“No…” she said, her enthusiasm dissipating. She finally let go of you. The joy in her eyes almost spilling out. “I’m finally getting a roommate!”
“What?! No way!”
“Yes way! I won’t finally be alone!”
“Who is it?”
“Someone new.” Yoko said, “She gets transferred here from Woodsboro high.”
“She’s a bit crazy, but I can deal with that.” Enid continued, ”Her name is Wednesday Addams. Almost nothing to be found of her on the internet, no social media, nothing.”
“Wait, I’ve heard of her. Tara told me she almost killed someone in her school!”
“Well, then we heard the same. Apparently, she dumped piranhas in the pool where the water polo team was practicing.”
“You’re gonna’ be ok, right?”
“Sure, no problem. Just a maniac out of the ocean of them…”
“Still, I’m so happy for you!”
“Thanks. I won’t be a lone wolf after all. Even if only in the roommate department.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The hours flew by beside your friends. You and Enid got over every possibility of this new girl. Which groups she may join, and who she’ll be friends with (beside Enid of course). In between breaks, you hang out with the whole group in the quad. Enid tried to subtly flirt with Ajax, but he just wouldn’t get it. Yoko and you would talk about everything and anything. When Ajax wasn’t in a conversation with the groups wolf, he would tell dumb jokes to Kent, who would laugh his arse of on them. They were cute.
You were looking forward to the afternoon, even if it meant leaving school. You had arranged a date at the Weathervane with Tara. You wanted to celebrate the anniversary at the same location you two met. You even managed to reserve the whole café for the event. Tyler was eager to help.
The day ended with one of Ms. Thornhill’s hours. You almost fell asleep with the plants that were all around you. When she finished her class, you almost didn’t notice it. Luckily, Yoko was there to get you up on your feet. You sent a sad smile to her, said your goodbyes than went out the front door. Weems was already waiting on you before the car.
“Get in young lady, you don’t have all day! Someone is waiting for you…” she said, smiling.
“How do y-“ you started asking, but she shook her head.
“I remember the day when your smile couldn’t be rubbed of off you. I know what day it is.”
You tried to hide your blush as you stepped in the car. She was so caring and nice. You didn’t know what you did, to deserve this.
“So? What do you have planned for her?” she asked teasingly.
“Well, I asked Tyler to allow us to have a little alone time in the Weathervane and helped me practice my café art skills. I’m going to serve her, her favourite café, with a bowie knife on it, since she is obsessed with Stab…” you started. Then you went over the whole plan. Weems was just smiling and nodding the whole way as you went into the depths of your plans. When you finished, she made a few suggestions, which you took even without realizing you did. She was right, like always.
When you got home, you thanked her for the ride, and got out of the car. She wished you luck, before you closed the door, and then you watched her drive off. When you couldn’t see her car anymore, you turned to your house. You took a deep breath, then opened the door, and stepped in.
Burnt smell hit your nose. Something was burning. You ran to the kitchen and noticed smoke coming out of the oven. Quickly you grabbed something to cover your hands with and opened it. You took out its content and placed it in the sink. Nothing remained from its original form.
“What do you think you are doing?!” Marcus’ voice came from the kitchen door.
“I- I smelled something burning and came in to-“ you started but were cut of with a hit to your chest. It took you off guard and you stumbled back into the open oven’s door. The burn stung your leg as you fell off balance.
“Now because of you, our lunch is doomed.” his voice was plain and seemed calm. You feared this voice. It meant he was furious. “Clean it up.” he commanded, then went back to whatever he was doing.
“Yes sir.” you mumbled as you got up from the floor. You hissed when you put weight on your leg. The new burn was bad. From the sink, you dribbled some cold water on the mark, and got to work. After you cleaned up after “your” mess, you went upstairs and changed into comfy clothes. When you got ready you took a painkiller, and explained how you will get home to Marcus.
“Seven thirty at the latest.” he said looking strictly.
“Yes sir.” you said, then turned around, and went outside.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The air was cold and chilly. A slight breeze made its way across the town. As you made your way to the café, you got sink in your thoughts. ‘He loves you.’ But why then? He’s just showing that he cares about you this way.’ Be angry. ‘Don’t. It’ll only make things worse.’ The only thing that got you out of this vicious cycle was the thought of being together with Tara. What a date this was going to be.
You arrived at the café the moment you were supposed to. It was five o’clock and Tyler was already closing for you. When you stepped in, he smiled at you and greeted you with wide arms.
“Hello Y/N.”
“Hey Tyler. How’re you?”
“No need for small talk. I’ve prepared everything for you. Here are the keys.” he threw them to you. “Don’t forget to close up when you leave!” he said and started getting out.
“Thank you.” you said with so much sincerity in voice you surprised even yourself.
He looked back at you, a little worriedly, then nodded. “No need. You’ve helped me too; I’m just repaying the favour. Good luck!” he said as he backed out of the café.
When he left, you got behind the bar, and checked the things for yourself. You trusted him, but wanted to be sure everything is perfect. You lit a candle at her favourite table, and placed two plates there. You asked her here for quarter past five, so patiently waited. Of course, she arrived earlier, noticing you immediately in the building. Your heart melted at the sight of her. The perfect brown eyes, her skin, that reflected the candle light and her brown gorgeous hair. God, you loved her.
She made her way through the café to you, admiring the work that you put in it. When she reached you, her lips crashed on yours again, for what felt too long. Her hands, roaming your body searching at the back of your dress. You pulled away to look into her eyes, then pulled of your shirt, to remove the harness. Your wings sprung out, and you almost struck down the mugs that were displayed on the shelves. You pulled your shirt back, and went back to her lips, while her hands gripped at the base of your wings, making them shiver with excitement.
“I’ve missed you…” she said softly.
“Me too. But this!” you gestured dramatically “will be worth the wait!” you finished with a smirk, then pulled back behind the counter and started making her coffee. She was surprised to say the least when she realized what you were doing. When the latte was ready, she reached for it, but you gently hit her hand, still grinning. She raised an eyebrow, and patiently waited for you to continue. You took out the powder from its place and started working. Her eyes widened the moment she realized what the art was. Her mouth dropped and admiration made its way to her eyes. You couldn’t stop smiling. When you were ready, she awarded you with a kiss.
“Since when do you know how to make coffee art?”
You gasped. “Dear, I’m a natural. What did you expect?”
She laughed, then took the cup to the table inviting you with her eyes to join her. You put up a finger and went to the fridge. When you opened it, you found two plates both with a little cake on them. You took them out and closed the fridge with your leg as you made your way to her. She shook her head, the smile from before widening on her face.
“You’re spoiling me!” she said laughing.
“Just a little. Nothing you can’t take.”
“Did you learn to make the cream too?”
“I must admit that indeed I tried but failed miserably. No. This was made by Tyler. But I did help with grating the lemon!”
She smirked at that. “I knew you weren’t perfect.”
“Excuse my ass Ms. Perfect, but I think you stumbled just as deep as I am when you asked me out. This is on you!”
“As was the test that you wrote an F on because you couldn’t think of anything else but my face?”
You gulped for a moment. You weren’t thinking about her face that day. “We’ve agreed that you really did cause that.” you said challenging her. Then you facepalmed. “Oh wait. I forgot the strawberries!” you tried to get up way to quickly. This made you hiss in pain.
“What is it?” Tara asked immediately, concerned.
“Nothing-“ you started, but were cut off. Why did you let everyone cut you off?
“You know you can’t lie to me. What is it?”
You rolled your eyes then with another too quick move you pulled up your jeans. This made your ribs hurt, and you instinctively pulled your hands to the source of the pain. You saw her worry go to despair, to realization than to anger. You knew you fucked up.
“Y/n this can’t go on like this. You need to do something about him!”
“What?!” you snapped back, a little too harshly. You regretted it already.
She stayed silent for a moment. “Move in with me.” she said so softly, it hurt.
You laughed at her for a second, then you realized she was being serious. Your mouth dropped and you felt like your legs couldn’t hold you anymore.
“I wanted to ask this after our date, but now I feel like I need to tell you. You need to get out of there!” her voice was shaking with hope and anger.
“Tara…”
“Y/n they don’t love you.” They do! “What they’re doing to you is insanity!” It’s their way of… “I love you!”
“It doesn’t work that way Tara.” you said when you finally got your thoughts together. “How would we pay for ourselves? How would I go to school? By the law we need a guardian! Who would that be?”
“Nicky. I already talked with him; we only wait for your approval. My mother left a whole lot of money behind, so while she is off, doing god knows what, I can do what I need. I talked with Ms. Weems too and agreed to work something out with you present.”
You couldn’t believe her. This was too much. Strawberries. You needed to get strawberries. You turned around and went to the fridge for them, not even hiding the pain in your legs anymore. You took them out and went back to her, placing one gently on her lemon cake. She was looking at you worriedly.
“Babe please think about it.” she was pleading. How did this happen?
“Can we get back to our anniversary?” you asked gently.
She nodded slowly. It took some time but you both got over the topic that was now hanging above your head.
Your plan worked wonders. After you finished in the café, you locked up and went through Woodsboro arms in hers. You took her to the places where your milestones happened. The main square; where she asked you out, the woods’ edge; your first kiss and then her house; where you confessed. The whole way, you were talking about different subjects, avoiding Nevermore and your parents. Somehow she managed to start rambling about Stab, so the last hour was you nodding over her theories and possible continuations. When you reached her house, you kissed her hands saying your goodbyes. She took your face in her hands and kissed you deeply, looking at you with heart eyes, full of anticipation.
“I’ll think about it.” you finally promised. Her face lit up, and she kissed you again. Then you looked at your watch. 7:31. ‘Fuck, I’m late…’ “I need to get going. See you tomorrow!” you said, with a last kiss, then made your way quickly back to your house.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was 7:47 when you got home. You feared stepping into the house. When you did, you knew you should’ve stayed outside.
“Where were you?!” Marcus’ roar filled the whole house.
“I’m sorry sir, I lost track of-“ you stopped at the hit that he gave you. He struck your former bruise on your ribs. Your face filled with hot-red anger as the air left your lungs. You knelt in pain, not to collapse completely.
“Get inside. Now!” his voice plain, filled with hidden fury.
You got of the floor. You heard his belt being taken of, and your heart filled with fear. Then your back cried out in pain, as the metal hit right between your wings. Your breath hitched and your heart felt like it was a race car, running way too many miles per hour. You heard before you felt, a second hit aimed at your wings this time. You cried out in pain.
“When you live with me, you abide my rules!” another hit. ‘He loves you…’ “You hear me?!”
“Yes si- “another hit. You stumbled down, your breath on the ground. You heard another coming when the phone rang across the room. After it hit, you heard him pulling back.
“We’re not done here.” he said, as he stepped away, to get the phone.
You knew your back was bloodied and bruised. The tiniest movements hurt like there is no tomorrow.
“Sorry sir, I think you have the wrong number…” you heard from the other room.
Move. ‘Don’t.’ Do something. ‘You deserve this.’ No, I don’t. ‘Let him finish.’ Run.
You heard the front door silently close, but you didn’t look up. You head was still hitting the ground.
“Are you threatening me?” Marcus’ voice was in disbelief.
“No… I am watching you…” a mans voice came behind of you. This made your head snap back. You would’ve recognized that voice anywhere. Tara made you watch Stab way too many times to miss it. A black figure was standing with his back against you, knife glistening in his right hand. You wanted to scream, to back away, but your body wouldn’t move.
“What do you mean, watching me?”
“Guess.” he said, voice raised, clearly meant to be heard by him now. He quickly surged forward, catching Marcus by surprise. He cried out in pain. It sounded… It sounded good.
“What do you want?!” Marcus asked in complete shock.
“I want to carve someone up like a pig. You happened to be the closest!”
“T- There are others in the house!” he said without hesitation.
‘What?!’ you couldn’t believe what you heard.
“Oh, yes? Who would that be?”
“The freak in the living room! She- She was here before you. Wanted to rob me!” your heartbeat stopped. ‘He said what?!’ You felt your pulse start again. The thrumming in your ear was so load you thought you would go deaf. Your muscles tensed one by one, each filling with hot, burning rage. You got up to your feet, and went to the corridor to take a look a the scene. Ghostface had tackled Marcus and had him pinned to the floor through his hand. Marcus’ side had a deep, clean cut on it, the fabric above it torn apart. His eye, glistening in fear and horror.
“Here I was, thinking that was your daughter…” He played with his voice in a very familiar way.
“No!” he barked out immediately. “How would I b-“ he was cut short with another stab to his chest. He cried out for help, tears falling down his face.
“Looks like I was wrong in more than one way. Smiths do cry after all! What a beautiful sight! How endearing…” He twisted the knife in his chest.
“Take her…” his words were muffled by his own blood spilling out of his mouth.
‘He doesn’t love me…’ you huffed. This got both their attention. You were leaning onto the doorframe holding your head with your hand. ‘He doesn’t even give a fuck about me.’
With Ghostface looking up at you, Marcus took the opportunity to hit Him in the chest. This made Him loose His balance over him, and stumble back. The scarred man pulled the blade out of his chest and while spitting blood on the intruder, he jumped Him. As they fell to the ground, you stepped away still locked in your own thoughts.
“Lwets swee yourh fhace bhitch!” Marcus spitted out of his mouth, blood dripping over his attacker’s mask as he tore it off.
For a moment, Marcus looked surprised his tears mixing with the blood on his face. Ghostface was a girl. How was he beaten up by a girl?
You froze down in shock. Tara your love and girlfriend was under Marcus, her eyes filled with hatred and anger. She hit him on the side, but it did nothing. She continued to struggle against him effortlessly. Marcus raised her knife, to strike her down. You didn’t think about what you did, you just did it. As your boot hit his side, you didn’t feel anything. As you got on top of him, disarming his right hand, you felt nothing. As did you, when he called you what he did with Tara, just moments ago. But the moment your fist hit his face, you felt relived. So, you did it again. And again. You didn’t know how many times you struck him; you just knew it felt good. You did it, until his face didn’t look human. Until it looked like a deformed and defiled remnant of a once humanoid being.
You didn’t notice that you were screaming the whole time, each strike raising your voice and power. It was a good thing Marcus made the walls of the house soundproof. He didn’t expect to hear you scream of joy. Your throat hurt, but it hurt so sweet. You didn’t feel your hands after you stopped to look at him. You searched for the knife, then when you found it, raised it as high as you could and stabbed him in the face. Then you pulled out and did the same to his chest and heart. You felt his ribs break and the knife hitting a muscle. You could only hope, it was the right one.
As you panted above him, you felt a gentle hand soothing your shoulder. When you didn’t pull away, she hugged you and started telling you kind words. You didn’t hear any of them. Just his screams and whimpers for mercy. It felt. It felt so good.
When you finally looked away you hugged her back and started sobbing on her shoulders immediately. She held you tighter, placing gentle kisses across your face.
“It’s okay.” she said lightly. “He’s gone…”
You started crying. Helplessly and unstoppably. Her scent filled your senses, finally calming you down. You didn’t know how much time you spent in her arms, but you cried your heart out on her. She was there and would never let you go. She tensed up for a second, when you both heard the door open. You snapped your head back, taking the knife out of Marcus’ body. You dropped it right away when you saw Nicky. He didn’t question a thing just went to you, knelt down and took you in his embrace. Tara soothed your back and your wings. She avoided the parts, that were cut up by his belt.
When you stopped crying you stood up and looked down at him. All your fears and hurt gone. You felt free. “I love you too.” you finally said back, looking left to Tara.
She stood up beside you, placing a kiss on your cheek. “Now will you move in with me?”

Two Moon Knight Headcanons for Pesach…
As we prepare to sit down for the second night Seder, as we prepare to dip our karpas in salt water and eat charoset and maror, here are two Moon Knight headcanons, one sweet and one bitter. These are in remembrance of tears and sweat and blood, but also in celebration of the freedom from the “Pharaohs” that hold us captive…
1st Pesach headcanon:
This Seder takes place a few years after the events in 2025 (Jewish year 5785). The MK System have had more time for system communication, and Jake starts reaching out to them. They're celebrating Pesach, all crowding near the front. And this night (unfortunately the same as most other nights), Khonshu shows up unannounced and uninvited. So predictable. After all, he's a "I am feel uncomfortable when we are not about me" kind of birb.
Pesach celebrates the Jewish people's escape from slavery in Egypt. And Khonshu is, of course, an Egyptian deity, still holding a Jewish system captive.
The irony is not lost on Steven.
So the MK System are reclining at the Pesach table. Layla's there too. Steven is reading from the Haggadah, and they get to the recitation of the 10 Plagues.
Steven starts listing off the Plagues, placing a drop of wine on the plate for each to remember the suffering of the Egyptian people, and as he does, he makes full eye contact with Khonshu.
“Water turning to blood ... frogs ... lice ... wild beasts ... pestilence of the livestock…”
And Khonshu starts feeling increasingly uncomfortable.
Finally, Steven gets to the plague of "boils" and Khonshu has had enough. He gets up from the table and makes some moon-related excuse (since of course Pesach starts on a full moon). Then he gets really tiny, and woosh! He just nopes right out of there. Layla and Steven breathe a sigh of relief, while Marc and Jake can relax a little. There will be more than enough time for Khonshu’s shenanigans after Pesach is over.
2nd Pesach headcanon:
This headcanon is from their childhood. It seems likely that Steven was around for a lot of their Hebrew studies. The extreme cognitive and emotional dissonance of having to pretend to be a "good Jewish boy" from a good family in Hebrew school was not safe for Marc or Jake. Plus, Steven was always interested in historical languages, and so whenever they're in a Jewish context like at Shabbat service or Hebrew school, or celebrating some semblance of a Jewish holiday at home, Steven is often triggered front.
But one Pesach, Steven isn't out. It isn't safe. Wendy has been trying to keep up appearances, making some attempt at kashering the kitchen. But this year, it's just led to more screaming. It's the last year that she even attempts to prepare for Pesach.
Then in a last ditch effort to salvage the holiday, Elias reaches out to a cousin, and they get invited over for the Seder.
This tía and tío don’t know the extent of what goes on in the Spector house. But the tía welcomes them in, and she is kind to Jake. He doesn’t even mind that she calls him Marc. It’s enough to have a place that is safe from the yelling.
The MK System are maybe thirteen or fourteen at this point. And since the tía's children are all older, in their late teens, she asks "Marc" as the youngest child to ask the Four Questions.
But Jake is fronting today. And Jake doesn't know Hebrew. (That's Steven's thing.)
The Haggadah has a Hebrew transliteration, but even with that, Jake stumbles through. He tries his best to wrap his tongue around the unfamiliar words.
Jake begins by asking the question:
Mah nishtanah halailah hazeh mikol haleilot?
(How is this night different from all other nights?)
Then he asks the Four Questions:
1. Sheb'chol haleilot anu ochlin chametz umatzah, halailah hazeh, kuloh matzah.
(On all other nights, we eat leavened foods and matzah. Why on this night, only matzah?)
2. Sheb'chol haleilot anu ochlin sh'ar y'rakot, halailah hazeh, maror.
(On all other nights, we eat all vegetables. Why, on this night, bitter herbs?)
3. Sheb'chol haleilot ein anu matbilin afilu pa'am echat; halailah hazeh, sh'tei f'amim.
(On all other nights, we don't dip our food even once. Why on this night do we dip twice?)
4. Sheb'chol haleilot anu ochlin bein yoshvin uvein m'subin; halailah hazeh, kulanu m'subin.
(On all other nights, we eat either sitting upright or reclining. Why on this night do we all recline?)
Jake stammers, and repeats words, and tries his best to dig into the memories that he knows are there somewhere. The memories of ... someone learning this at shul. Even though his memory of their Hebrew school is so hazy. It’s just disjointed images, and the remembrance of muffled voices as if he’s underwater, as someone else goes through the motions of studying. But he’s always watchful, in case one of the bullies in class starts making fun of their rumpled clothes and mess of unkempt curls, and the way that they quietly rock in their chair and fiddle with the cuffs of their shirtsleeves. Jake is great at making escapes from bullies and finding places to hide ... and when push comes to shove, his arms and legs are proficient at punching, kicking, thrashing...
Right now, Jake wants to run and hide. He is terrified that he's messed up. He’s terrified that the tía is going to yell at him. Or worse, that Wendy is going to start in on him. The expectation is clearly that he should be able to pronounce the Hebrew words fluently.
But to his surprise, the tía tells him, "Thank you, Marc. Good job." And she smiles at him.
That little gesture of kindness makes him want to cling to her. To beg her to stay at her home, at least for that night. He dreads going back. Wendy looks displeased with his performance, and Elias looks worried, and Jake is sure he's going to hear about it when they get back to the house.
But for those few hours celebrating the Jewish people's escape from slavery, Jake feels relatively safe. His tía and tío will protect him while he's a guest in their home.
That night, Jake realizes something profound. He realizes that Wendy is his Pharaoh.
At Pesach, we Jews are often asked to think about who is the "Pharaoh" in our life. Who or what is it that is keeping us trapped? And what are some ways to break those chains that bind?
Jake understands that Wendy is the one keeping him in chains. And in that moment, like Moses, he starts looking for ways to escape captivity. There's got to be a way out, a Red Sea that will part for him. On that night, Jake starts making plans for extraction.
Throughout their life, I imagine that Pesach would resonate with Jake. And it is not a decision he takes lightly to stay bound to Khonshu after Marc and Steven are freed. It's for their protection, but at what cost? The bonds of servitude are never worth it. And Jake knows that at some point, he's going to have to start making extraction plans again.

20 Questions for Fic Writers
@snarky-wallflower Thanks for the tag! This was a lot of fun :)
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
67 currently, but I have deleted a few old ones lol
2. What’s your total word count?
Now, when I tell you I went overboard on this question, I went overboard. My private, unposted, solely-written-by-me fics' total word count is 227,868. My total word count for fics I've collaborated with @charismabee on is 477,549, and my total word count on AO3 is 389,530. However, quite a few of my AO3 fics are collabs with Red, so if you take away everything like Wilting Flowers and Owl House but Kindergarten, you're left with 225,235 words written solely by me. So, if you total up 225,235 + 227,868 + 477,549, then you get a grand total of 930,652 words! Then, of course, there's the whole matter of my old fics on regular Word and not Docs, which would probably add up to at least another 50,000 total considering we're talking about my ASOUE and DT17 phases, as well as all of the private Viva Pinata and miscellaneous musical stuff lurking in there, and we've got that weird writing app on my tablet that I used a lot a couple of years ago whenever my phone got confiscated, but I cannot be bothered to search through all of that right now. So, it mostly rounds up to around 1,000,000 words. Fanfiction may or may not be taking over my life. (Gosh I love maths <3)
3. What fandoms?
I've written mostly for the Kindergarten 1 and 2 fandom, my total fics on AO3 for it totaling 38. However, I have written a heck of a lot of OMORI as well, and dabble in the Owl House, DHMIS, a few webseries on YT as well as the Hatchetverse sometimes, too!
4. Top 5 fics by kudos
1. World's Okayest Uncle at 799. My latest WIP, written for the Hatchetfield Universe and based around the concept of Paul Matthews becoming the accidental uncle of every kid in town. Each chapter focuses on a different child (the three so far about Alice, Richie and Pete respectively), and once all of them have been sufficiently adopted, I've been considering adding some slice-of-life stuff, exploring the changed character dynamics, and looking into parts of canon that would change in the AU as well. 2. Hollow at 455, a Hunter-centric one-shot for the Owl House set immediately after season 2 finished. It was written in the post King's Tide craze of awesome Human Realm content, so it got quite a lot of hits at the time. It focuses on Hunter dealing with the aftermath of Belos seemingly having died, and himself having being thrown into a completely new, unfamiliar world as an unfamiliar God took over his own :) 3. Flapjacks at 279, another Hunter-centric piece because TOH fans can't get enough of him lol (I am very much one of those fans). I began writing it back when Thanks to Them was first released, then got the motivation to finish it after I saw Watching and Dreaming. It focuses on Hunter returning to the Human Realm after the Collector's defeat, as well as Camila's thoughts on being a parent of who knows' how many kids at this point. Hunter finally gets the chance to mourn, and finds out what a flapjack actually is. 4. Gravesfield Historical Society, at 275. In which it's only natural that the Boiling Isles' leading Human Expert decides to do some research, and Gus does his very best to ignore the images plaguing him from looking into Belos' mind. Vee looks for some closure, Hunter is very protective over his little siblings, and Gus just wants to have a fun day at the museum. Things... Don't go to plan. 5. Fading, at 215. Yet another TOH work (I was around when the fandom was active as heck), one of the shortest pieces I've ever written at only 722 words. It's from Flapjack's POV during that scene in Thanks for Them. You know the one. I made lots of people cry, and sacrificed the birb.
5. Do you respond to comments?
Of course!! I thoroughly appreciate every comment I receive; they really make my day. Being part of an active fandom with the Uncle Paul AU has sort of taken me by storm so my inbox is pretty clogged at the moment, but I promise that I have read and smiled over and will reply to the comments all of my lovely readers have left behind! It means so much that someone's not only taken the time to read what I've written, but that they liked it enough to leave a comment behind. Even just keysmashes or "<33"s are really lovely to see, so thank you to the wonderful commentors out there! You guys are awesome :D
6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Ooh, now this is a tough one! Pretty much 95% of what I write is angst, with a good 70% being Hurt No Comfort. Still, I think the angstiest ending I've ever written would have to be that of either "Enough", in which 13 y/o me decided it was a good idea to follow the perspective of kindergartener Theodore Huxley as his brother pushed him to his death, or "Wilted", in which 13 y/o me decided it was a good idea to follow the perspective of suicidal kindergartener Lily as she gave up on finding the one person who cared about her and committed suicide as a result of being bullied. Wilted should probably win out considering the implications of what would happen to Billy as a result, and bc the ending subsequently led to Nugget's death too, but Ted's train of thought in Enough is so gosh darn sad.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Definitely "McDonald's". That's the fluffiest thing I've ever written, no doubt about it. Not a smidgen of angst, just a bunch of kids with colourful eyes and pointy ears walking into a fast food restaurant and discovering what chicken nuggets are. It literally ends with the promise of more cute adventures to come, so I'd say this one's a no-brainer loll
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I've only ever received hate once, on a little Gravity Falls AU I made entitled "Puppet Strings and Stage Curtains". I got some pretty nasty criticism on it and, as a kid who was still very anxious about posting stuff online, it really impacted me at the time. I'm still a little nervous even now to open up my inbox because I think I might have gotten another comment like that shfjdhhgkjh. I wound up abandoning the fic because my motivation was completely destroyed, and I couldn't even look at the thing without feeling ashamed. However, I haven't received any hate since, which is great! There's just no reason for it, really; if you like something, leaving a comment is wonderful, and it makes the author happy! If you don't, just don't read the fic. Leaving a hurtful comment isn't going to make anyone happy, and can be really damaging to writers. Shoutout to @weedkillercentral, who, without fail, leaves the bizzarest comments known to man on almost every work I post.
9. Do you write smut?
Nope! I am a ✨minor✨ (@snarky-wallflower dw I too am a nerdy prude, sex jokes are Ew). Still, I do enjoy writing romance from time to time! Some ships are straight-up hard not to enjoy reading/writing for :))
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Funny story, actually. I used to have Wattpad and, as much as I hated using it, a friend of mine liked the site so I used it to support her. I wound up posting some of my own stuff on there at one point. I will never be able to get over the fact that when you searched up my username online, the images used to show a picture of Sharkbomb Glomgold. How do I know this? Because small me got bored and looked up my username, and accidentally found a mirror site to Wattpad with some of my stuff on. It credited my username and everything, but I panicked about it because as far as I was aware, I had no control over whether I could take it down or what else could be put on it. So, I deleted everything on my account, and just like that, the fics on the mirror site vanished. So no, I've never had anything outright stolen-- at least, I hope I haven't-- but that was a Not Fun experience for little me a few years ago
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
No, I'm not famous enough for that lol. I did have an offer for someone to make a podfic of smth I wrote a few years ago, but they never got around to it. Still, if anyone ever wants to translate one of my fics, I'd love it if you did! Please just let me know and acknowledge me as the OG author; having a work translated sounds awesome.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yes! Many thanks yet again to the amazing @charismabee, my dear co-author and the Kel shirt to my Maverick cosplay wig. The amount of hours I've spent writing with her is actually insane, as well as the times we've just messaged brainstorming AUs or having far too strong feelings about the show Elena of Avalor. We've done joint Whumptobers and Febuwhumps, fics that are combinations of the nichest stories and characters, a lot of redemption arcs for 5-year-olds... If you like my stuff, I thoroughly encourage you to go give her work a read at TheFearIsRed on AO3! :D
If anyone else ever wants to try collaborating on something, I think I'd be willing to give it a try! There are loads of talented authors on here, and co-writing is a lot of fun <3
14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
Hmm... Well, Paulkins is an obvious one (remember that one post about "hatchetfield fans when normal man and his barista crush show up for 5 seconds"? yeah that's me). They have a level of mutual trust and understanding that's just really nice to explore, they both have issues galore but will support each other no matter what, half infected Paul content is golden and as an avid Uncle Paul truther, Emma finding out about his many children is just too funny a concept to me. They act like teenagers when they see each other, they're both down bad, she knows he doesn't like the Christmas advert jingles, he thinks she's funny,,, they're so <3
Another strong contender is Pearla (Penny x Carla), from the K2 fandom. @goldmoth82 was the one who got me into writing about them with their absolutely incredible stuff (art, fics, you name it!). They're just a traumatised android and a thieving arsonist, what more could you want?
Gold rush (Kel x Mikhael) is another of my favourites though, mostly because it's so funny. Mikhael has declared them rivals, and Kel could not care less. Mikhael challenges him to races, and Kel beats him easily. Mikhael insults him often, but Kel doesn't retaliate. Mikhael wants to be independent and special, to stand out from everyone else. Kel wants to be appreciated as more than just Hero's brother, to be liked and acknowledged as himself. Mikhael would vehemently deny his feelings until Daphne and Bowen tied them up together and forced him to confess. Rivals are just lovers in disguise, everyone. One-sided gold rush is even funnier, because they're technically one-sided rivals. Kel was Mikhael's homosexual awakening. Mikhael looks so dumb and flamboyant because he's trying to impress him. Mikhael claims he hates him and that his bright red face is from anger after Kel effortlessly beats him time and time again. I love them.
But I think out of everything, Wrightworth would have to take my top pic for favourite ship. Gay lawyers who would die for each other for the win.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will?
Ohh gosh. There are quite a few, but I'd probably say this year's Whumptober. My mental health went schwoop this October and I only got up to day 11 despite my plans. I still intend to finish the collab one with Red when I have time again (exams suck), and I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to get around to completing it. At least there's always next year! :"]
16. What are your writing strengths?
Definitely characterisation. I have a lot of fun getting into characters' heads and making studies on them in different scenes or just overall, and have a lot of fun bouncing different personalities off of each other. Once I know a character, I know the character, and writing their POV is as simple as breathing lol. I'd also say that I'm pretty good at tension building and breaking, as well as Hurt No Comfort (you need some good old angst, I'm your gal).
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Action scenes, for one, though I've been improving on them since I started the TOH Kindergarten AU! I'd also say that I struggle with slower-paced, filler sort of stuff. I might like to build up to an event, but chapters that don't have plot relevance just sort of stump me lol, even when they're necessary :)
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language?
I enjoy learning languages, and have been teaching myself Spanish for the past couple of years or so. However, writing them is a whole separate thing entirely. If I had a translator, I'd be all good! I just get a little worried when I write any language that isn't Spanish because google translate is unreliable as heck, so I typically tend to avoid it. Luckily, none of my fandoms really require it- but if that Franziska & Miles brainrot doesn't go away soon, I might be in a bit of a pickle trying to write German dialogue hshjhgfk
19. First fandom you wrote for?
A Series of Unfortunate Events (the Netflix show). It was the first fandom I got really, properly into, diving in headfirst at the age of about 12 and finding a lot of awesome content. The obsession I had with VFDBaudelaireFile13's Violet Snicket AU "Misery Loves Company" a few years ago was wild. My writing back then was very jolty, and I wrote in chapters that only lasted a few paragraphs with big, bold titles that often had at least two exclamation marks at the end. Still, ASOUE is one of my favourite shows to this day, and I don't regret a thing from my time binge-reading everything I could find for it (except that one lemons fic I accidentally came across when starved for content), nor any of the silly little unposted AUs I wrote on Word.
20. Top 3 fics I've ever written:
I puzzled over this question for ages, but found it impossible to choose just one! Ignore that I'm cheating a little here, and take three instead <3
1. An unposted collaborative work with @charismabee/TheFearIsRed that we called MPT. It was the first big fic I ever wrote, and it was probably what really got me into writing as a hobby. I got to spend time at random intervals writing about and whumping my favourite characters with someone I'm very close with, making up the plot as we went along. I remember coming up with the initial idea on a swingset, and spending hours colour-coding every segment of those 50,000 words based on each mention of a character as well as who wrote what. MPT is messy, and a tad repetitive in places, and while finished, I don't believe it's something I'll ever post. But it holds a special place in my heart, and it's a lot of fun looking back on my writing from a couple years ago compared to now 2. Not sure if this fully counts, but an untitled Omori WIP I've got going atm is definitely up there. It's Hero-centric with huge emphasis on his trauma, following the course of the year the events of the game occur in. I've had a blast writing his thoughts and time at college, and I'm geberally just really proud of it thus far. Hopefully, it'll be done by January in time for his birthday! :) 3. Now this one is a posted work– Magical Girls: Omori!, another collab with Red. We came up with the idea, binge-watched season one of Glitter Force on Netflix, and ran with the plot. We've planned out all of season 1 with ideas for season 2, incorporated a plethora of great characters, and been able to mess around with a fun fantasy high school full of our favourites. It's always wonderful to write, and I really like how it's been going!
Thank you again to @snarky-wallflower for the tag! You're amazing <3
As for people I know, I've tagged the vast majority of you already sjhkffg oops.
@charismabee @goldmoth82 @weltato @inprisonforsparkling hey there jpr the au mastermind, fanartist of the century, paul whump bestie and king of michie. you guys are some of my favourite writers out there, i'd love to see what you answer with for this (no pressure ofc!) <33

"Woah what is going on?" Keigo asked bewildered.
You quickly walked passed him to your room, "I have stuff to prepare for today's school event!"
He scratched the side of his head watching as you walked from one room to the other. "Well... is everything okay? Do you need a hand?"
"I have most things done." You calmly said grabbing two bags from your room and settling it down beside the living room couch.
"Today's..." Keigo mumbled knowing today was an important day. You had mentioned it to him a few days prior to today's big date. "Oh!" He snapped his fingers together, remembering. "The sport's festival!"
"Yeah!" You exclaimed going into the kitchen and taking out some ingredients from the fridge.
"Do you need a hand?" He walked over, standing in front of the counter watching as you started to make small balls of rice in your hand.
"Um can you get me out the filling? I forgot to take it out." You answered, making a small curved spot in the rice to put in the filling.
"Sure!" Taking the container out labeled with "rice ball filling" he placed it next to you down on the marbled counter. "Can I help make some of them?"
A smile rested on your lips, nodding. "Make sure you wet your hands in the water so the rice doesn't stick to your hands."
"Got it."
"Have you made some before?" You asked grabbing a spoon and scooping some of the filling to put in the middle.
"I used to make them plain when I was a kid." He answered as he recalled his childhood being difficult for a kid his age. "We were poor... sometimes it was hard to make any money to bring home and put food on the table. My father was a criminal who stole, my mom didn't have the guts to leave him. So I had to be creative with the food we did have."
Your eyes began to water. You knew very little about his past life, he only said bits and pieces assuming it wasn't something he was comfortable talking about. You couldn't picture a child his age going through such trauma and violence. Keigo was the sweetest person you had ever met, realizing he went through something like that made your heart ache for him.
Keigo noticed you had become quiet, the half made rice ball sat on the empty plate. He placed his own down and turned to look at you, silent tears ran down your cheeks with your hands clenched tightly.
"(name)... are you―?"
You shook your head, "I―I'm fine..." Sniffling you wiped away your tears. "I'm sorry..."
"Hey, why are you crying?" He softly spoke, placing both hands on each of your cheeks and wiped the tears that escaped gently with his thumbs.
"It's just―" you sniffled trying to speak but became difficult to say anything when you kept remembering what he had told you. "You're an incredible human being... so honest and kind. Someone who doesn't hesitate to save an innocent bystander or lend a hand to someone in need. Knowing you went through something so traumatizing... it breaks my heart because you don't deserve that."
His eyes softened, pulling you into a tight embrace. Gently he caressed the back of your head, smiling with such fondness knowing you cared.
"It happened a long time ago―"
"S―still... I never pictured your past to be so harsh to you." You shut your eyes tightly trying to stop the tears. "I'm sorry I wasn't there to lend a hand o―or even be there to console you when you were just a child."
"(name)." he kissed the side of your head, "I'm okay... actually the day that Endeavor caught my father and put him away in jail was something I never expected to feel good about."
You slightly pulled away to look at him. "R―really?"
Keigo nodded holding the side of your face. "It gave me the ability to take that weight off of my chest. He wasn't a good person and knowing he was gone made me feel reassured that my mom would be safe."
"Have you seen her... at all?"
"I went to go see her after I was out of the hospital when everything happened but she wasn't there anymore."
"I'm sorry... I―I did not know..."
Smiling small he rubbed both sides of your arms comforting you, "Don't apologize, maybe for time being it's best if she's away from the city for awhile. I want her to be safe, who knows maybe in the future I'll take you to go meet her."
"I would like to meet her someday." His wings slightly opened wide hearing you. "I want to... understand where you came from and learn more about you."
There was no clear answer as to what it was about you or the way you talked that brought him comfort. A feeling he had long forgotten about since he was a kid, the longer he stayed around with you the more he was starting to see what it meant to care about someone else.
The sound of your phone ringing broke the moment apart, you pulled away to answer the call. Meanwhile, a smiling Keigo went back to making the small rice balls for your students.
"(name)! Are you almost here?" Mio asked as she started to set up the tables while holding her phone between her ear and shoulder.
"Y―yeah, I am currently finishing getting everything else that I need." You said, "How's the set up going?"
'We are currently half way, the students are doing some last minute practice for the event."
"Are the parents starting to arrive as well?" You asked.
"Um some... but there's still a lot more left for them to arrive." She explained, "Do you need any help?"
"No it's alright I should be leaving in a couple of minutes." Walking over to the counter you started to pack what was already done.
"Great! I kinda need a hand with some last minute things―" Mio looked over at two of her students playing with the water. "Rei! Chi! I told you both to place the water balloons not to throw them around." She sighed, "I have to go before these two end up soaking wet, I'll see you soon."
Chuckling you nodded, even though she couldn't see you. "Okay, good luck with those two."
"These rice balls are done." Keigo proudly smiled as they were individually wrapped tightly in seran wrap.
"Keigo, they look amazing!" You smiled at him, "Thank you for helping me out."
"Is there anything else I can help you with?" He leaned over the counter to look at you.
"Thank you for the the offer, but everything else is already handled."
He slightly pouted, "Okay."
Walking over to him you held the side of his face gently. Keigo leaned in to your touch feeling goosebumps rise on his body.
"It sucks you can't be there to meet my students." You half smiled, "They would have loved to see you."
"Trust me it would have been an honor to meet the kids who are being taught by an amazing teacher."
Leaning in, you kissed his cheek softly. "I should get going."
Keigo nodded letting you go. He ended up calling a taxi for you to take you to school along with helping you to carry your belongings and food.
Resting his forearm against the doorway, "Let me know when you arrived?"
"I will." You said and waved at him goodbye.
He waited for you until he made sure you left safely to school and quickly got ready to leave.
Upon arriving at school you thanked the driver and did your best to juggle all the things you had to bring.
"Woah." A chuckle was heard, coming from behind you. "How much stuff did you bring?"
Looking over your shoulder you saw it was Hizashi. "Care to lend a hand though?"
"Sorry," smiling he walked over and grabbed the bags off of your shoulders. "I did not expect you to bring these many things."
"I saw how hard everyone was working and wanted to make some food, or well treats for them." You explained walking beside him.
"Did your husband lend you a hand?"
"He did," you smiled walking inside the building. "I hope everyone likes the rice balls."
"You did the same filling?"
"Yup!"
"Then everything will be fine." Hizashi assured you, "All the kids are excited to begin soon."
"Hizashi!" Rapid footsteps could be heard getting louder as they approached you both. "We need your help setting up the last of the tables outside please."
He sighed, "I thought Rei was helping you Mio."
"He was called in to the principal's office, there's only one more table left to set up... I promise!" Mio clasped her hands together, begging. "Please?..."
"Alright." Placing the things down he motioned for her to lead the way, "I'll be back to help you (name)."
You waved him off, "I got this, there's no need to."
"Thank you!" Mio exclaimed, relief she quickly walked down the hallway and out to the open field.
As you were putting your things away and leading the food onto your small cart you got a message from your sister.
Himiko | 8:05 AM
I wanted to let you know that I talked with mom and dad about your situation.
"You're kidding right?..." you cursed under your breath immediately replying to her back.
You | 8:06 AM
Why did you even think that was going to be okay? They know about it, I agreed to do this.
Your phone then started to loudly ring in the empty classroom, with your sister's name flashing on the screen.
"I am not going to stand by and let you stay with him!" Himiko expressed, "This isn't the life you should be living."
"And I told you HImiko to stop questioning everything I do." You continued without even taking a moment to breathe, you were livid. "Why do you insist on resolving an issue when there isn't one?!"
"Because there is! Do you know how fucked up it is for you to have been part of the bargain in order for dad to get financial help?!"
You tried your very hardest to calm down the pulsing feeling in your head by breathing in and out deeply. "Look, Himiko this marriage isn't yours to butt into."
"What happened to my sister who wanted to pick out her special partner?" She questioned, "The one who couldn't wait to find the one and be happy with someone who actually cares about you? Are you seriously telling me that you do not care about that stuff anymore?"
"I have always dreamed of having someone special in my life but things sometimes don't go the way you want them to okay-"
"I know right now you're too new at your marriage and you do not fully understand what it means t be tied down to one person."
"Yes I do!" You retorted but of course it wasn't enough for your sister.
"No you do not, (name). The further you stay in this arranged marriage the more miserable you'll be." She ran her fingers through her hair, sighing deeply. "I've seen it first hand myself... people change and not for the better. Being in secret and locked up in a foreign place does things to you. I don't want my sister to go through that not if I can help it."
"I'm sorry you think that way... but my situation isn't the same. Keigo is the sweetest person I have met, he's attentive and caring." You said trying to open her eyes to how your marriage really was. "He always makes sure that I am okay and looks out for me. We wait up for each other when the other gets home late a-and we stay up talking about our day." A smile formed on your lips as you recalled each moment with him. "I may still not know what marriage is... but this is the best relationship I ever been in Himiko. And I am not going to let your insinuations and judgement ruin something that might evolve."
Himiko's voice faltered, "You're going to regret it, (name). And I won't hesitate to tell you I told you so."
"Maybe I will... or maybe I won't. That doesn't mean I'm going to sit back and listen to you. So you can try all you want... but I'm not going to give up on Keigo."
You ended the call before you let her get in another word. It pained you to fight with the only sibling you had in your life, but you were going to stand your ground no matter what.
Blinking away the loose tears you grabbed your full cart and made your way to where your students were waiting for you. This day was about them and you weren't about to ruin it with your problems or negative emotions.
"Miss, (last name)!" Sato exclaimed running over to you. Her little arms wrapping around your waist as he bend down to hug her with one arm as well. "It's about to start!"
"I know," you smiled. "Are you excited to have some fun?"
She confidently smiled looking up at you. "I'm ready to win."
"I can tell you won't be one to give up without a fight."
Sato nodded, "Do you need help Miss?"
"It's actually not a lot but thank you for offering to help out." You said, "You should get warmed up in the meanwhile."
"I'm waiting for Sayo and Tadashi too!" She mentioned, "Suzuki is with his parents."
"I see, did yours arrive yet?"
"Yup! They promised to cheer me on and watch me from the stands!"
"I'm glad to hear that-"
"Hana! Let's go take a picture before the events starts sweetie." Her mom yelled.
Sato nodded at her direction and turned back to look at you. "I promise I'll make you proud!" She waved at you as she ran back to her parents.
You smiled back waving at her as well.
Sometimes it was crazy to see that one day your students will end up graduating soon. All hope you is that they end up continuing with their lives, happy without any worry or caring about anyone else's opinion about themselves. You wish you could shield them from harmful things, but you knew those lessons are some they need to learn as well.
A little over an hour later and the event was finally beginning. All the classes from different grades were already sorted into different groups for the events. The teachers stood on the sidelines waiting for it to start.
"Miss (Last Name) would you do us the honors and start the event?" The principle asked as she handed you the microphone.
"Of course." Taking the microphone you walked over to the small podium where one of the students stood on. Turning on the mic you then spoke, "Hello, everyone! I'm very happy to see so many parents joining us for this special fun event. I know all of our kiddos have practiced non stop to make this a memorable day. We hope you enjoy yourselves and cheer them on as loudly as you can. Now we will be listening to one of our top students, Haru Shiota."
You gave the student and encouraging smile as you handed him the microphone. "You've got this."
They nodded and took it with shaky hands. His eyes roamed the huge crowd of unknown adults and students.
"T―thank you... f―for joining us today!" Shiota stuttered, "We hope to make you p―proud!"
Everyone clapped, you ruffled his hair a bit trying to comfort him. Luckily he was able to breathe again, with a bounce in his step he got off the podium and made his way back to his group.
"The first event will be an obstacle course!" You announced, "Ready?" There was a pause, everyone eagerly waiting for you to say the final word. "Go!"
As soon as the students began to run, the parents started to scream loudly to make sure they heard them. Some of them even ran along with them to get pictures of their child running. It was honestly such a heart warming event to see.
"They're getting close aren't they?" Mio spoke as she walked over to stand by your side.
"Yeah, it's going to be such a close call." You said watching intently as one of your kids was getting closer to third place.
"Do you think your husband would like these type of events?"
"Hm... most likely yeah." A smile lifted on the corner of your lips. "His childhood was very different I'm sure he would have loved to even be part of it."
Mio smiled, "I'm glad to see he's making you happy."
You cheered on your students on as they got closer to the end of the obstacle course.
"Go, Sato!" You yelled, clapping. "You're so close!"
In a moments notice, she was able to take over second and first place in the end. The first win officially went over to your class.
"Yeah!" Mio yelled cheering her own students for winning second place.
Grabbing the mic you spoke into it again, "Congrats to Sato for grabbing first place along with the other two students, Tanaka and Yoshida for winning second and third! Everyone did such an amazing job. Please make sure to get ready for the second event."
"Ooh did you make the rice balls?!" Mio exclaimed as she saw some of the students and staff walking over to the tables filled with food.
"Actually my husband did..." You shyly spoke trying to get used to referring him as your husband.
"I need to try them then! Do you want me to bring you one?"
You shook your head, "I had one earlier, go and enjoy them!"
Mio did not waste another second and quickly headed over to the food section.
A sigh escaped your lips as you closed your eyes then opened them again. Your body started to feel tired, it was mostly mental exhaustion from earlier. Still, it sucked that the people you thought would support you the most were the ones hurting you.
"Miss (Last Name)!" The principal exclaimed, "I forgot to tell you that we have a few guests today!"
You looked at her with a puzzled look, "Guests?..."
She nodded eagerly, smiling from ear to ear. "I was able to talk to some of the heroes and they accepted our invitation―"
A sudden force of wind then grabbed everyone's attention. Hizashi tried to hold onto the tables steady in case they fell over. Mio did her best to hold on to the shade covers as well.
You lifted your arms up to cover yourself form the dust that was picked up because of the wind.
"I apologize for arriving late, I hope the fun hasn't ended yet."
Immediately you recognized that voice, your eyes widened in shock not believing who was standing a few feet away from you.
Keigo smiled at everyone, the kids were shocked seeing he was there in person. But it warmed his heart knowing that he was able to brighten up their day. His eyes scanned the crowd searching for you. A frown started to form on his face until he finally found you.
His eyes glowing brighter than before, he waved at everyone but his eyes pointed at your direction. You couldn't help but smile seeing him, a slight blush covering your cheeks.
It wasn't only him who had arrived, there was also Endeavor and Best Jeanist along with other future heroes who had accompanied them.
The principal quickly grabbed the mic, "Everyone, we have some special guests! Let me introduce you to some of the top heroes of Japan, Endeavor, Hawks, and Best Jeanist! Along with some of Japan's future heroes from U.A High!"
It was unbelievable.
Your students ran eagerly over to them, Endeavor was smiling at them while Best Jeanist crouched down to ruffle their hair.
"Wow, I did not think you'd be able to convince them to come (name)!" Mio said, watching in the same shocked smiled expression as you.
"I―I didn't..." You explained, "The principle was actually the one who made it possible."
"Well it was your suggestion," Hizashi said standing beside you, "I'm glad it worked out in the end."
Keigo smiled, waving at everyone.
"I can't believe you didn't come through the main door." Best Jeanist said.
"Well I do have wings you know, why not make an epic entrance?" He smirked.
"Because we came together? It would have been best for all of us to show up." Endeavor added.
Best Jeanist shook his head and walked over to the students that were waiting to talk to him.
The students from U.A also interacted with them, some of the teachers even asked them questions.
But the certain golden brown eyes couldn't keep himself from looking at your direction. You had to tell him with your eyes to stop looking over at you and to focus on them.
"Is Hawks, checking you out?" Mio said.
"W―what no!" You retorted quickly looking away.
"He's curious about you, damn even though you're married you are still getting hit on." She whined, "No fair!"
"Don't be jealous there's guys who check you out too Mio." Hizashi said.
"Yeah but what good does it do if none of them ask me out?!"
Unbeknownst to you, Keigo started to walk over to you three with such confidence in hopes of getting a reaction out of you. There was immediate silence as he looked at you guys. His eyes going from Hizashi to Mio and finally landing on you.
He stretched out his hand, "You must be the teacher the kids keep talking about am I right? Miss (Last Name)?"
You wanted to physically fan yourself to calm down but you knew it would be too obvious. With a calm smile, you shook his hand not being able to ignore how perfectly it molded together with his own.
"I―It is very nice to meet you, Hawks."
