i. get the vibe that the more mainstream zelda fans are allergic to the idea of liking characters who like. do bad things

#the groups and works i avoid are ones that make characters who do generally questionable things into morally good/perfect people #idk. whenever people get nasty or w/s it seems to be when people ask reasonable questions abt the series’ morality #recent example in mind but like. idk. with more personal/petty examples i feel like people will just sand a character down to being nicer #or more decent to fit some mold and maybe while its still similar to canon its a lot less interesting #idk this is just a mini rant ill delete it later. god forbid we enjoy characters who make bad choices and are mean #idk i dont usually leave my little hole but it feels like the worst zelda fans are deep in purity culture regarding characters #and don’t analyze the text beyond what youre told and never going any deeper bc it would require thought and discomfort #idk ig with [character] (cuz i know thisll get picked ul by tag stuff) i just. dont like how he just gets turned into a decent guy?#like hes an asshole but thats it hes more pleasant than anything? its not not canon but its not interesting. its neuters him #yknow? like hes down for robbing people at the bare minimum shut uo about tax fraud he’s a thief literally in the text #im going off the rails. bht i feel like people lash out at characters who are unignorably grating or morally impure #and sand down the ones whose flaws can be ignored. ofc i feel like the main 3 esp with these last few games get the worst of it #and i can get why considering the issues baked into how this series work but it just makes a lot of things boring

I love how in atsv they just have these moments where the characters are effortlessly loving towards one another. like you have punkflower where hobie Just met miles and miles is a little iffy about hobie bht theyre constantly bumping into eachother. hobie is leaning into miles listening to his words, understanding his truths and defending said truths by miles’ side until the very end.

punkshine (my personal fave ship/duo name for pav and hobie) is so sweet and alive and in the moment. these are two spider-people who believe in their ways and want to protect the community they serve along with the other communities in other universes because at the end of the day, solidarity with one’s community and a community that pushes itself forward through means of interpersonal relationships is one that thrives. they understand that love drives a community and that love they hold for eachother extends to miles and at the end of the movie, they’re there defending him and going against a system that tells them that community should not work together.

ghostflower has this history that lasted a year and four months of zero communication. IM TELLING YOU THESE TWO PINED AND CRAVED THE OTHERS PRESENCE FOR OVER A YEAR AND THE SECOND THEY FOUND EACHOTHER it was hugs, jokes, teasing, soft touches to the back playful winks as they swing across new york city; it’s sort of date adjacent.

miles takes gwen around the city he’s known and grown to love even more than before (which was a LOT) shows off his learned skills as she does the same and they head to secluded areas to just talk and let go of all the stress they’ve carried for the past year. they have this unbinding trust that is later severed or injured by the verse’s canon event system, creates distrust, disappointment, a grief that the two of them carry on their backs.

I feel like he'd date a very girly girl who is a hoarder and does not keep things in place. Like you have a shit ton of different types of mascara, concealer, pink eyeshadow. And when Jaspn mentions why you have so much pink eyeshadow, you claim that it's one shade for different occasions.

You also have a huge collection of accessories

Hair accessories, rings, bracelets, earrings

And with all these collections, you tend to lose them all.

"Jason!! Where's my pink bow!!" "You mean this one?" "Jason- No! That's Flamingo pink! I'm looking for Lemonade pink!"

He would help you choose what nail design to pick from when you get your nail done. You like your nails a little longer than average, but Jason's worried that they would easily break, bht you assure him that you're used to them.

In the end, he chooses red and pink nails (to have your nails match with his colour too 🤭🤭), with white pearls and heart charms.

You tell him he can come back later because you'd think that he would hate to wait around for your nails to get done. But Jason is an absolute sucker for you. You can have like a 5 hour nail appointment and he'd still wait with you.

You like wearing short skirts, and you always wear shorts underneath just in case, but Jason is so paranoid. He doesn't want others to look at you. He always thinks he's overreacting, but that doesn't stop him from walking close behind you while the two of you are out.

Even though you have so many accessories, every birthday, anniversary, Christmas, and such, Jason would always gift you with a more expensive piece of jewellery. Like for your anniversary, Jason gifted you a Swarovski necklace that had pink roses around it. And you never take it off unless you're showering our plan to head out in a crowded place and you'd be scared of losing it.

I think girly reader would wear very graphic makeup. Like pink hearts and white sparkles everywhere or butterfly wings on the outer corner of your eyes. When you're unsure of a makeup look you wanna do, you'd ask Jason to be your model. He'd groan and let you try your makeup on him, but he makes you swear you won't tell any of his siblings.

And when your face lights up, thinking that the makeup look on him was perfect, you rush out to do it on yourself, and he thinks if your face looks like that every time you just put makeup on him, then it's worth it.

Sometimes, when you go clubbing with your friends, you'd assure Jason that you'd be fine on your own, but the both of you have a worried feeling in your guts. So when you leave, you're kind of hoping Jason is following you. And obviously he is.

So when some big, strange, older man comes to try to feel you up, you shove him away, telling him you have a boyfriend. But him being stronger than you, he continues to push.

Luckily, your bigger and stronger boyfriend comes to help you, reminding the weirdo that you have a boyfriend. Jason doesn't need to say mire because the man is running away like a scared dog.

Your friends swoon over Jason, but you don't need to worry about being jealous because you already know how much Jason is devoted to you.

Since he's already there with you, why not enjoy yourself with him while you're both at the club?

You'd ask Jason if you can have matching nails with him. It didn't need to be acrylic nails. You just wanted the colours to match . And unfortunately for Jason, he could never say no to you.

So he glares at his siblings, especially his brothers, when they try to question his choices of colours painted on his nails.

Whenever the two of you are together at home, watching a movie or something, he loves to have you sit on his lap, especially when you're wearing a skirt, wink wink.

You try to match outfits with him without him knowing. He noticed, of course. So he's wearing his iconic brown leather jacket, you're wearing your light pink leather jacket.

You'd teach Jason how to style hair, so every now and again, you'd ask him to do your hair for you, obviously decorating it with a bow.

Eventually, when Jason tells you about his alter ego, Red Hood, you think he's the coolest and bravest man alive, in comparison to Jason's initial idea of how you'd react. He'd think that you'd drop him, leaving him on his own.

But when you meet some of Jason's female friends and colleagues, you get jealous that they're more skilled, brave, and closer to Jason's occupation than you'd ever be. Especially when you find out that some of them, like Rose Wilson and Artemis Grace, used to have some sort of romantic relationship with him.

So, for the first time in a while, you start to doubt your position in your relationship. You start wearing darker clothes, darker eyeshadow. Hell, you stopped wearing bows for a while!!

Jason quickly notices this and asks worryingly why the drastic change in appearance.

And when you confess it's to be similar to his exes, he takes the black leather jacket off you, takes a bow laying nearby (there's always at least one or two bows lying around wherever you are) and places it in you hair, giving you a soft kiss on the lips.

He assures you that he doesn't need you to be or look like them.

Because it was you who he fell in love with.

So one issue and another potential issue. Because basically every bht ing else I’m like “alright to YES DO THAT YES!”

I like that Rand is more competent and has more agency at this point in the story. Like rip baby denial Rand “I don’t know what is happening ever. Partly because I refuse to accept it is happening” has been toned down a bit so he like, makes choices. Like active choices that he had to think about himself and had some understanding of. While there’s still some *cough* Lanfear Selene *cough* questionable choices. He made them! Now the issue? Since he’s more competent when Rand is supposed to be completely oblivious to like, very obvious politics but was just doing some verbal jabbing with Selene that displayed a bit of competence. That’s a bit jarring tbh. I’m a little skeptical about the way Josha Carrie’s this powerful presence in Rand normally, so like the skittish oblivious to politics Shepard boy just doesn’t land as well. But alternatively I could totally believe that Rand basically has resting “I am in charge and know what I’m doing” face. Because that could track, he outwardly just comes off as intense as hell, when inside he’s just flailing and weeping that he can’t be a good male-wife sheep herder rn.

I’d prefer if the change to Logain was he can see all the Power levels of basically anyone with some connection to the power -maybe except those who havent yet actually touched the source.

Hi! I always wanted to ask, even if its a silly thing, but I never saw an artist with your style and I think its really cute that your dean and cas have such bitable noses (they just look so fluffy). Where did it came the idea to make them like that?

lmao omg biteable noses i haven't heard that one awlefjawlkejaw i love it so much. why boop when you can boop with your teefs!

so i waited to answer this until i was back on my computer to basically say: idk!

but the longer answer is i was always interested in making the nose the focal point of the face. all my art style journeys always made sure i would put the nose for you to see it and always make it red lol.

i haven't drawn in a few years, about 3 years, until last fall and i wasn't happy with my style anymore. it felt too morose when i was just wanting to feel happy because the world around me is just meh and blegh every day, my job is stressful, and i wanted something to just keep me happy.

this was my art 3 years ago

and i liked this style -- but it was also limiting for me bc it just always made me feel less vibrant and just more quiet and a little sad

but over the last 7 years these were styles i would do for a drawing or two every so often while i was still trying to figure my style out until i arrived at ^

I think this one is the closest one i can get to now

but there were other attempts:

i thought it was a limiting style though because they don’t have a fully drawn eye and the noses kind of reminded me of a newspaper comic strip i used to see growing up falled Funky Winkerbean. I don’t know why -- their noses definetly aren’t like this -- but whatever pfft.

But I still found the lack of eyes limiting, and that these were too cutesy, but also i couldn’t figure out how to make it constantly work so i just abandoned it and went back to my normal stuff.

like i said, i hadn’t drawn for a few years but last october, i was feeling frustrated not being able to find the proper motivation to do winchester-relod’s Suptober challenge so i doodled this dude [by now i didn’t have my tablet and so any time i sporadically drew since 2018 i just drew on my phone]

and then idk people thought he looked cute?

and then i drew this a few days later:

and i guess it just kept going from there? people thought it looked cute, and i thought it was warm and happy and it made me happy to draw it.

obviously looking at the art even from 9 months ago the style has changed as i figured out what i wanted to do with it [and invested in a little ipad to draw on instead of drawing with my finger on my phone lol]:

I think I am sticking with this for now [sometines doing a slightly ‘normalized nose’ from time to time] because 1) y’all encourage me with your very kind words 2) it makes ME feel good to draw them like this -- like idk i never am like UGH with a drawing 3) it’s just fun!

really it’s one of those things where for the longest time i’ve been trying to take inspiration from so many styles around me because I just didn’t know how to define myself as an artist, and then i just wasn’t drawing as much anymore once i DID settle on style from a few years ago -- to now just wanting to smile any time i’m creating something so if it makes me smile, my goal is to make others smile lol.

a driving factor for finding my style before was like ‘how do i make this edgy and emo if i wanted to?’ because at the time i was still experiences lows.

and now, i still experience lows [spoons, mental health, yadda yadda] but instead of drawing the sadness out, i wanted to draw something that’d bring the smile back at least in my mind lol.

and nothing makes me happier than smacking my hand into my ipad trying to honk their noses and then hearing messages from others [like yourself] who find the noses cute as well!

Man, didn't check FE on youtube for a few hours then spotted a clip of Hortensia's battle animation (revealing that she'll be playable). So I looked up FE Engage on youtube and turns out they dropped a whole load of stuff??? Along with an explanation of how the Engage function works??? Couldn't find one in English so I have no clue what was said, but still it's new info.

We got confirmation of another villain character being playable so that's interesting, we even got a few new characters revealed. Wonder how large the roster's gonna be at this point bht, I remember a leak saying there'd be a large number after all.

Though I have to admit while the engage function is cool and all, not a huge fan of how some engaged forms look. Specifically Alcryst with Byleth that purple hair does NOT suit him. We also see Alear who also seems to be engaged with Byleth? Since the blue side of their hair turned purple like Alcryst and the weapon they had equipped looked suspiciously similar to a certain emperor's signature axe. (Though I find it interesting that when Alear engages, it seems like mostly it's just the blue part of their hair that changes colour but the red side stays the same)

There also seems to be a lot more stuff that dropped today? Like a sort of relationship chart with all the engage lords? Might check that out later.

i hate fashion disclaimer i'm not creative i've always been a copycat or just basic like i'm so guilty of that also. i've voiced this before bht to me peak fashion is the people basically living on the street or in their car and the random shit they pull off stores or find randomly and just piece together and make it work okay. but the bottomless chasm that is rich people or even poor people but the ones who spend all their money on clothes instead of like real adults things who live in nyc la bay area or toronto like. the mob wife trend is already burnt and that started early this fall..... we've all saidnit before the the micro trends don't even last long enough to have meaning anymore. or it's just a fucking bad trend like the heroin chic/waif one or the dressing poor/homeless when you're not. terrible just terrible. homeless people have more holes in their socks than actual material and stink like sweat and piss because they can't wash their pants or afford new ones. you can't just wear that and you really don't want to look like you are either. stop caring about what you look like and start caring about what you are doing. the only two places i've lived are cities where people prefer to buy functional clothing instead of trends. which is my whole closet. i own 10 planned outfits that work together and thats it like my closet is so small. and i wear my shit too like new shoes? i will wear them every day until they are busted and then i get new ones 3 months later like... i never have to search hours for the perfect piece or try to sell any of my clothes... it's not normal or productive or necessary. wearing clothes isn't something to go out and do. stick out by doing something cool or important. much more meaningful much more brave much more confidence involved. you hoes are so lame spending your whole life on your phone or computer inside buying shit just to leave the house for coffee or something. thats the whole point right is to be the coolest person in the cafe.

#some of the people ik do care about clothes like they'll buy the weird jordan 1s or whatever #but they are also already cool like they already are just stand up people and will look dope no matter what ..
