when you’re invited to a sleepover with your boyfriend and his friend group, excitement washes over you since you’re aware of the numerous fun activities they get up to. as expected, the night is full of laughter and games until your boyfriend offers to cuddle with you to sleep but notices you prefer the embrace of a stuffed animal which he is not going to let happen.

he’ll be so excited: you’re in his clothes and in his bed like this is gonna be the best nights sleep of his life

until, you open your bag and pull out an animal

at first, he doesn’t question it since he thinks you need it for comfort

he’s probably spooning you and realises there’s some teddy in your arms

“y/n, why is there a teddy in your arms?”

“oh, this? this is mr cuddles. he’s my sleep buddy - i’ve had him since i was eight!”

literally scoffs, “well, it’s time to get rid of him.”

tells you he’s here now and there’s no reason to be holding some stuffed toy and tries his best not the chuck the toy off the bed.

is so happy when you put it to the side and try hugging him instead

when he wakes up and sees you sleeping so well that there’s drool on the corner of your lips, he feels so accomplished

now has a rule that whenever you sleep next to him, you have to hold him

also replaces your plush with one that he bought and sprays it with his perfume that you ofc have chosen from his collection

if he’s not there to hold you to sleep, then at least you can smell and think of him

You’re right tbh. And what’s actually funny is that, ignoring the overall simplification of the movies, this fits pretty well for the Marauders 💀 did the films mention when James flipped Snape upside down when he was wearing robes (generally wizards don’t wear anything other than underwear under their robes, so y’all better not give me that “well why wasn’t Snape wearing tro-” BS) and exposed his pants and bare legs in front of literally everyone, and then threatened to—and most likely did—take off his underwear? [In the films, James said “who wants to see me take off Snape’s trousers?” because the Hogwarts uniform in the movies was changed and wizards wore trousers. It was still bad but nowhere near as bad as having already exposed his underwear and then threatening to take it off.] Did the films mention when Sirius almost killed Snape using his self-loathing best friend’s condition and then justifying it when he was a grown ass man? Did the films mention when Remus constantly lied to Harry and tried to run out on his pregnant wife (my babygirl didn’t mean it that way tho 😊🥰 /j in case I get attacked)? Did the films mention when James threatened and blackmailed Lily? Did the films mention when Remus and Sirius as adults tried to minimise what happened and justify it with “oh well we were sometimes little arrogant berks”? And like 27 other examples.

Also, Marauder stans have to fancast 10/10 gorgeous scrumptious yummilicious men as the Mid Marauders to use it as a substitute for their faves having a personality because they were irrelevant asf. If y’all are gonna say BS like “people only like Snape because you’re horny for Alan Rickman” (hi Marauder stans, Snape fans aren’t actually just braindead idiots who are obsessed with sex and revolve their lives around attractive men!! 😁😁 also aro/ace people exist!!!! 😁😁😁 hope you know that <33), then I’m gonna have to be petty and say y’all only like the Marauders—mostly James though, at least Sirius and Remus are awesome on their own—because they have hot fancasts. 🤷‍♀️

Controversial opinion time! I see a lot of people saying Kurt didn’t get this solo for sectionals or whatever. But he did get a lot more than others - like a fully developed characterization and relationship. He also got a relationship with a developed parent and family which others didn’t. So his fans are lucky in that respect.

okayyy obviously i dont disagree with you about all that bc its true. i really think kurt was THE most developed character on the show. plus he really seemed to be (one of) the only characters that actually kept growing forward instead of having a dozen redundant backslides like everyone else seemed to

okay so. kurt did get a ton of good solos. aaand i think almost every one of them was amazing. like maybe some aren't my personal faves but i think they're all good (except i'll remember, my worst enemy </3 [and even then its just the context thats stinky])

it wasnt like with rachel or blaine or yes i'm sorry even mercedes who had like a dozen throwaway solos that all sound the same and it's like obviously you sound good but we've heard this a million times before and im boreddd. obviously personal music taste is going to factor in but i think kurt's range of solos were like the least repetitive and boring lmao (out of those listed above. i think other characters had a good variety)

plus like a good chunk of the "solos" listed on kurt's wiki page are like "album version only" bc it was a duet in the show. defying gravity, dcfma, bring him home, and a house is not a home are all listed under his solos (and out of those, i still count ahinah as a solo cause finn had like one dusty line and its easy to ignore) but he only had 13 real true solos throughout the show

he was the only original club member not to get even one last solo in s6 (while rachel had 4, mercedes had 3, and even sam and santana got their own)

also there were plenty of instances of him having a solo line in a group song that was also album only and got cut in the show version :|

Also they weirdly limited his number of duet partners?? like he had a million duets with blaine and rachel, and outside of that, two with mercedes, two with elliott, and two with maggie (that chris had to write in himself) and 5/6 of those were in s5 alone... where were his duets with the rest of the glee club?? where's my kurtana duet, my hevans duet, my kurtina duet, my kartie duet, i could literally go on all day for every club member

ALSO it's like they purposefully wrote in moments for him to sing just to have him not sing. he organizes a whole wedding for his dad and gets the glee club to perform but he doesnt actually get to sing. he organizes a vday party at breadstix but doesnt sing. literally every other major soloist in the club is gone and his big competition moment is like 2 lines. he forms his own goddamn band just to not sing a single word in the first song that they perform. and when his band does perform its 1) in a fantasy sequence and then 2) happens off screen

so idk like i think if you just look at everything he did, it's all pretty good. but once you look deeper and really start to examine it you're like ...wait a minute. like even if he got a lot (especially compared to like quinn or tina) the show still manages to make it feel like he got cheated lmao and i just think they were playing dirty at times

but idk he's my fave so im always gonna want more for him but i am happy with what we do have. and happy he's the best character ever no questions asked uwu

If there’s one thing I am, it’s honest. I tell you what I think.

And what I think now is... this is a train wreck nearing its conclusion.

The release went... even worse than we all expected. And that’s saying a hell of a lot, because most of us thought it would turn out very bad. But I was thinking, “couple hundred sales” bad - not single digit sales bad.

Very little money has been made here - nowhere near what was hoped for. The failure is downright epic - and I guarantee, none of the proposed/promised future prospects are going to pan out. The “roadmaps” for n/f/t projects (which this certainly is) almost always rely on the project essentially funding itself. It’s all very “if you buy into it, this is what it will become.” With no one buying into it... It’s not going to become anything.

And that failure is bringing out the worst in the guy behind the whole thing. To some extent, I don’t blame him for being upset. He had high hopes and big plans and they’re not working out for him - that’s gotta suck. And I’m sure he blames us for this failure. If only we’d just shut up and opened our wallets the way he expected us to, things wouldn’t have gone this way.

Except they would’ve. Because none of us ever said, “Don’t buy these things.” None of us ever said “Boycott this release.” We didn’t have to. This project was never going to be a success with this fandom. We’re not in the usual “target demographic” for n/f/t marketing. We’re also not young enough or impressionable enough (or plentiful enough) that we’ll spend money en masse just because our fave’s attached.

Anyone with any real world understanding of any of the components of all of this could see from a mile back that it was going to fail. It’s like trying to sell violins to a herd of water buffalo. They don’t need violins. They don’t want violins. Most of them don’t even know what a violin is, nor do they care.

This project is a failure because Rothberg didn’t understand Colin’s fans... and Colin didn’t understand the world of n/f/ts. Neither of them had enough understanding of the full situation to see how the two things would be largely incompatible.

We support Colin because we believe in him - in his big heart, his kindness, his good intentions, and his talent. And this project has literally nothing to do with any of those things. In fact, it runs contrary to most of those things. It’s predatory, damaging, and makes a mockery of one of Colin’s best roles.

I can’t imagine that Colin is happy with how this has turned out. I can’t believe he’s okay with the way even his most loyal fans see this project (after all, if even we’re cringing at this stuff, what must non-fans think?). I refuse to believe that he isn’t at least a little dismayed by Rothberg’s behavior of late.

And I don’t think Rothberg’s happy, either. Obviously, the gold mine of funding he was hoping for hasn’t come through for him. Without it, he’s got no project. He’s burned this bridge entirely - and clearly has no qualms about burning it down still further. We’re of no monetary value to him, so we’re of NO value to him.

I suspect soon enough that Colin will be considered the same way - if he isn’t already. Rothberg will probably dump him sooner or later - and Colin will hopefully be wise enough to see that as a blessing. Or maybe Colin will strike first and remove himself from the project. That would be the better outcome, image-wise, but I’m not sure what financial damages Colin would incur by doing so. And with him barely working these days, he may not be able to cover those costs.

Although I suspect if he made a GoFundMe to cover it, this fandom would probably open its wallets fast enough to make Rothberg’s greedy little head spin. But I can’t see Colin actually doing that - which is, again, part of why we’re all here in the first place - and why this project’s been a bad fit from the start.

Regardless, there’s not much to be said/done at this point.

I don’t see this going on much longer.

13) Your favorite friendship they have

This one is a tough question cause...I feel strictly in canon, Spectre is the closest Ryoken has to a friend? But also--not quite? Because they spend most of the time in right hand man and leader roles, not on equal footing, even if as kids I do think they got to be friends before Kogami came back in the picture.

I DO really like Spectre/Ryoken friendship, but if I can just headcanon away...

> Ryoken and Yusaku would have an interesting friendship. They could go hours being in the same room, not talking, both engaged in whatever they are doing in their laptops. They send each other technology news or have Their brand of nerd humor (also lots of cat pictures in that chat).

Ryoken rejected Yusaku's friendship in S1 but afterwards, post-canon territory, I think they could begin to be friends for real. Duel the way they only got to do once as kids. They are both very similar so they'd understand each other pretty well I think (like, both sure love to LEAVE without a word!).

And he likes how Miyu doesn't mince words, and neither does he, but both are so good at masking their feelings...so they can see the tells when the other isn't doing good. Ryoken cares for her when Miyu gets careless with herself...

Okay so which one is my fave? HARD TO SAY, I JUST WANT RYOKEN TO HAVE MORE FRIENDS 😭😭! !!

It's...hard to say? I wouldn't say "worst" as in "the weakest" rather, I want to say S2 but like. His entrance in that season is the BOMB, so not that, and it's interesting how his views seem to be shifting, if ever so slightly, when it comes to the ignis. His duel with lightning is so good too and his loss...his smile...augh. But in S2 he has good MOMENTS, overall S2 isn't focusing so much on him like in S1 where his storyline is strongest (for me).

In the past I might've said S3, since it's the shortest season, and at first it feels like Ryoken's character has regressed at the start--BUT NOT, because of course he's watching out for Ai, Ryoken still believes in the simulations and in what they revealed, but I did feel that up to Blue Maiden+Akira vs Ai, he...was waiting for Ai to prove him wrong? But Ai mercilessly defeated them and took Akira's consciousness and Rev was like "I won't hesitate to defeat you NOW" (was he hesitating before, isn't that what he's saying?). RYOKEN RARELY SAYS WHAT HE TRULY MEANS SO. YOU REALLY GOTTA WATCH HIM WITH A MAGNIFYING GLASS 🔍

16) A childhood headcanon

Here's one! But have another: this one is more when he's a young teen/almost teen + Spectre is already around, possibly Kogami is back and the KOH were starting to form.

So like. The tattoo thing. How did he get it?

I want to think that it's a funny (?) story where Ryoken + Spectre snuck out to the city and went to a tattoo parlor, but since they are kids got shooed away. But they end up at another...slightly shadier looking tattoo place. And at first the owner was gonna kick them away but Ryoken brandished the Credit Card Tm "I can pay" (Ryoken has a very "money can get me whatever I want" mindset back then HAHSHA).

Owner like shrugs okay whatever kid (the parents can scold him later if he's using their credit card, they think). What do you want done LOL and Ryoken's got like a render or something that he did digitally of the design and the owner is more confused like, he expected something edgy or cringe, this kid is 12, what is this triangle...thing...oh whatever. must be a nerd thing.

And Ryoken thinks he's being so cool like ah yes now I have a MARK of my LOYALTY and guilt and Spectre is like Ryoken-sama that looks SO COOL (and Spectre might've got a tattoo too back then but I haven't decided what).

What is the most difficult thing about writing your current muse?

This one feels like a trick question cos i always have 5 - 7 muses active in my brain simultaneously and equally, it's just a matter of who I get to talk to first OTL I'll write a few for this one but dont think i can again for the next question 😭

Raizol - Difficult parsing out her behaviors and possible outcomes because she's such a spur of the moment kind of person at the WORST of times and can be unpredictable. Many different outcomes for one situation, many that all fit her as a character, and sometimes I gotta roll for it to see how to go about continuing something

Geniva - I wouldn't call it difficult per se, but it's a matter of not being able to control how people view and treat him as a character. He's good at pretending to be a face character with little going on and can be goofy and, as I'm told, "has himbo qualities". It's difficult to write a well meaning dude and see him get beat down and be boiled to one thing. EMOTIONALLY. it hurts me. i take psychic damage because he's my everything. hes my silly rabbit. i put him in situations and not a lot of ppl who enjoy him actually understand him (i trust him with such few people here in the community actually)

Xizaya - Man it's fucking hard to play someone so emotionally closed off ern how to Not be when my first instinct myself is to always be open and friendly and make connections and love so openly and unapologetically. It's a clash between the mun's and muse's personality! I scream bloody murder when i want him to do a certain way and just show he cares but know he can't or won't because it doesn't fit him as character. Like a fan screaming at the TV.

Himmel - It's difficult watching almost 10 years of writing into one character be taken as just One thing or just One way like how am i supposed to explain all the things he's gone through and how he's changed and grown alongside me as a person TEHRE IS SO MUCH TO HIMMEL. THERE IS SO MUCH TO HIM I DON'T TALK ABOUT. some of it is due to clumsy writing because I Have Been Writing Him Since I Was 14 Years Old. that shit is so hard. i have to beam vibes into your brain because I dont have the PATIENCE to explain it all more than once

What is your favorite thing about writing your current muse?

I'm gonna try so hard to make these shorter cos this is already ABSURDLY LONG. Like my me-

Raizol - SO FULL OF LOVE. SO GOOFYSILLY and can genuinely find the good in anything he sets his mind to. At the end of the day he's an optimist

Geniva - Despite everything he's a really hopeful person and is the most driven motherfucker in my entire roster. He goes after what he needs and wants and it ALWAYS gets done. He ALWAYS reaches the end of his goal, it's kinda inspiring tbh

Xizaya - His willingness to connect and keep trying even if he's really messy. Like, he's learning, he's doing okay. Things can get a little fucked up but he's gotten more patient and understanding with himself.

Himmel - Dramatic and loves loudly and refuses to water himself down for anyone. If you can't handle him then that's your loss. He's got a lot of self love actually and it makes me emotional

What makes for a great roleplay partner in your opinion

being able to bounce off each other is a given and so is being able to match my energy or at least SHOW enthusiasm, but I'm not here to talk abt the bare minimum. My fave RP partners are the people who accidentally slip into RP with me after talking back and forth abt certain scenarios like. Like writing comes so easy. My best RP partners are the people that accidentally slip into RP w/me because it shows you're just as into it as I am and ready for More TM. I like getting to bounce around the timeline, to talk in depth about the characters and what their dynamic does for one another, and I love when that person does the same @ me.

If you could tell your muse something, what would it be?

Raizol - You don't need to break yourself trying to reach redemption. Self flagellation won't get you anywhere and it certainly won't help you move on. You did what you can and it's okay.

Geniva - Let go. Look forward. You went through hell to get here so you should let yourself enjoy where you are NOW.

Xizaya - Your survived and that's enough. You can live now.

Himmel - You can't fix everyone. You can't fix people and people only change if THEY want to. So stop acting surprised when your projects give you papercuts.

Put the Rodrigues kids names in order (fave to worst). I think her name choices are absolutely fine apart from Kaylee and Janessa. They dont match the other names - dont like them at all.

1 is best, 13 is worst.

1. Samuel Richard - A nice name that goes well together. I prefer a lot of the Rod boy names to the girl names.

2. Gabriel Victor - I think it's cute. Gabriel is one of my favourite 'angel' names.

3. Hannah Faith - Definitely my favourite of all the Rod girl names. It flows nicely and sounds good, but I find that practically any first name can go with a virtue middle name.

4. Olivia Mercy - Olivia is one of my favourite girl names. Same opinion about Mercy as Faith

5. Timothy David - I like the name but all the Tim's I know are generally middle aged/old men so... Timothy is a timeless name and David goes with anything.

6. Sadie Patricia - Whoops, I almost forgot she existed! Patricia is a lovely name but I also love Tricia as a first name as it's a character on one of my favourite tv shows, Classic Emmerdale. I most associate Sadie with the tv show Sadie J, which I watched at an early teen. Sadie seems to be a ore modern version of Sarah, which in itself is a lovely name.

7. Kaylee Arlissa - Kaylee Alissa would've been better. Kaylee isn't too bad and I generally like 'lee/leigh' names. I can't really see and ild lasy Kaylee but I'll probably have to get used to it because one day there will be old people Brooklyn's, Eveleigh's and Lincoln's.

8. Tessie Elizabeth - Tessie seems more of a nickname for a little girl to me. At least it isn't such a hideous name and Tessie can go by Tess when she's older if she wishes. I do like Elizabeth as a middle name but not a first.

9. Renee Crystine - It was OK until the unusual spelling of the middle name. Jill's middle name is spelt Christine so is baffles me as to why she changed the spelling to try and be tryndy. I adore the name Renee but it's not one on my personal baby list. I've heard Renee pronounced ree-nee and ren-ay but prefer the latter pronunciation.

10. Phillip Jonathan - I'm not too keen on Phillip at the moment as I think it's a little boring. I'm just not too keen on Royal boy names in general right now. People seem to be loving older names right now but it's not for me. I do lie Jonathan though and the nickname Johnny.

11. Sofia Amy Julianne - These three names together are just too much. I know Jill did it for her sister and because of her weird obsession with her, but it's just too cluttered. Give all the kids three names or none at all.

12. Janessa Ruth - I'd never heard of the name Janessa before stumbling upon the rods and I don't like it. It sounds so random and made up. Ruth is a nice middle name though.

13. Nurie Katelin - why oh why would this be your first choice. Just name her Marie and be done with it.

I gotta talk abt it cus oh god.

CW: Heavy spoilers for Howie's show. Do not read if you might watch it!! Also contains talk of death, drugs and misery. Has a tldr if you wanna avoid the gritty deets.

So Howard died last episode. He was killed by Lal0 purely because he was in the wrong place. It was sudden and easily the most graphic death of the whole show. But it gets worse 👍

Howard had just been thoroughly defamed by the MCs bcus they wanted the million dollar payout from a pending court case. So they made it look like Howard was a drug addict. He isn't. He was where he was bcus he was confronting them about it. He was telling them he'd bounce back and get through it. Then he was murdered.

So this episode he was on the floor for the majority of it. Then Lal0 is killed. Another dead f/o 💔 but... It got even worse. At the end of the episode they're buried in the same grave. The worst character on the show and the best. Side by side in a hidden grave. Almost like lovers. Then his car is framed like he drove to Cali while drugged up and unalived himself in the sea.

Utterly fucking heartbreaking. No way would he ever have done that. He suffered and died through no fault of his own, now everyone he ever loved will see him as something he wasn't. And the way he was buried is just... Ugh. It feels wrong like a serious perversion of justice. No way should they have been buried together. 🤢

TL;DR: Howie got defamed, then was murdered by Lal0 and it was framed as suicide. Then Lal0 also died and they were buried together.

To say I'm upset would be an understatement. At least my fave character put him to rest with as much dignity and respect as he could.

The Euro songs we have lost, part one.

Just like last year I have compiled a list of my favorite national finals songs that did not make it to the big show in May, in Liverpool, but have found a good little home in my currently listening and other playlists that I have. Because even if these NF can be an absolute massacre and you can end up with your heart broken and non of your favs in Eurovision it's still such a fun way to explore new music.

And yet I can resist tweeting out 'omg worst eurovision ever' every day from now and until May even if that happens because I am an adult, but more importantly I have watched eurovision every damn year since 1999 and I know that sometimes you just have an off year with eurovision and it just isn't eurovision-ing all that much for you some years. It happens. And that's fine. Because the show is still always entertaining, you can usually find at least one song that you LOVE, and then is just always next year. The show must go on.

And there are always eurovision songs that wear me down every damn year and I end up LOVING because I enjoy the performer or they were just so fun on stage. It's all fine, even if it may apear that I have not gotten a lot of favs through. I just aim at a solid top 5 and a fun show for eurovision.

Now, I don't watch or even listen to ALL eurovision NF because there is just so much time that one has. One does need to pick and choose with these things. And this is just a blog post to mourn but also talk about some of those faves that I lost.

KRUTЬ – Колискова: Although I personally am not a huge ballad person, KRUTЬ had my favorite song in Vidbir before the show started and the one I wanted the most in Liverpool. It's a quiet, haunting lullaby in Ukrainian and is just absolutely beautiful. I may not reach out for this song that much on my playlist atm, but you know, it's an awesome song.

FIINKA — Довбуш: The song that actually became my favorite song, or like my most played song from Vidbir, was actually Fiinka with this rap-folk song. I never had any hopes of this winning since rap-folk won for Ukraine last year and Ukraine is not very used to sending the same example many years in a row.

OY Sound System — Ой, тужу: Traditional/folk mixed with edm is generally something that I really like in Eurovision, and just in general too, so of course I was going to enjoy this. It doesn't reach the same heights as GO_A's two song and it's nothing new for Vidbir so it was never going to win. But it does go off! It's fun. This is my jam.

Jerry Hill - When God Shut the Door: The song that I and almost everyone in the eurofandom that I am apart of thought this going to win Vidbir. Lots of emotion in this one and a really cool song, but I personally found it oddly staged. Or I wasn't really feeling it on the stage.

Neon Letters & Maiko - Tokimeki: There was a cute little Japanese citypop song and I really couldn't help but root for it, even though I always had my doubts that it would win, or get out of its semi. It would be something significantly different for Estonia and also just Eurovision itself if it had been chosen. But then it was put in a box on the stage and sort of didn't have the energy it needed to get out of the semi.

Meelik - Tuju: There were a few blissful days right before the Estonian final that I was starting to think that this song could very well go all the way to Liverpool for Estonia (if you're going to have a Eurovision with lots of guys in bands why not them, huh ? the best dudes in a band that were available) but it sadly didn't happen. This song has been stuck in my head since it came out. The chorus is such an earworm. And I also just really enjoy the indie looser aesthetic that the band has going on.

Chérine - Ça m'ennuie pas: what a happy little synth song (I love 80s synth and really can't get enough of it) and it was in French which made it even more cute. Like 80% of the fans thought it was going to take the ticket to Liverpool but it was strangely staged on the night itself (which I can't find a video of) which may have been why it didn't work, although why it didn't win or even come second is still a mystery to me.

Jone ft Silkie - Ekko Inni Meg: This song immediately got stuck in my head the moment I heard it. And really has been there in the back of my mind ever since. It's samples some other song, which Ateez (a kpop group) has also used, and it may not be the most original song there is and the staging didn't maybe have the impact it needed and I would absolutely love for the woman who sings in the song to be with Jone on stage. But damn this is such a fun, catchy track that I couldn't help but root for it. Probably one of my fav songs this NF season.

Eline Thorp - Not Meant to Be: A sleeper hit for me, but then there was just something about this song or maybe just the singer that was so charming, that it just wore me down. I was quite pleased with it making the final.

Ella A - Waist: This song was much better on spotify than it was on stage imho. Ella did have some cool choreo and attitude on stage and you can see that in a few years she will be a really cool performer. Maybe a little more confidence was needed to sell this whole thing to an audience, and I actually thought this suffered from over-choreography like a lot of songs this year. The slomo effect as I call it. It just doesn't always work. But as I said the song is great on spotify.

Vicco - Nochentera: Going into BenidormFest this was my fav song. It is a good radio pop and the video works well for the song but I really always knew that it probably wouldn't be strong enough on stage to go all the way. It's just not that kind of song. And I was right about that. It felt a bit weak on the night and didn't stand out when it came to staging. But it's great on spotify.

Megara - Arcadia: this would have been something completely new and exciting from Spain, which is something I'm always up for in Eurovision. It is fun when countries take a little risk. It was cool to have something like Megara in BenidormFest and the song was well performed and managed to not be too choreographed or anything like that. This was just enough. And it was fun!

Paola & Chiara - Furore: I need you all to pretend to be shocked that this was my fav, ok. Even though Sanremo just ended just yesterday and the songs have not even been out for a week, this song has completely taken over my life. On Thursday, Friday, Saturday and then this morning I have woken up with this song stuck in my head. I just wake up singing this song. It was everything I could have wished for tbh. Never had any chance of winning Sanremo, but it won my heart (which is a much higher prize tbh) and gave me the biggest show. This was a show! It was camp, they were all sprayed in glitter. What's there not to love.

Levanta - Vivo: This lady has had a song in Sanremo before, in 2020 which was the first sanremo that I watched, which I absolutely loved. So I had high expectations for this song. And while don't think Vivo is better than Tikibombom, I think it manages to pull off a similar vibe which I appreciate. It was never going to do amazingly in Eurovision, it was never going to win Sanremo, but that doesn't matter. I adore it.

Colla Zio - Non Mi Va: This song almost woke me up from the dead towards the end of the first night of Sanremo, after we had just listened to so many boring ballads and slower songs. The song sounds so much fun on spotify and it was a fun on stage. Although the performance there was a bit too out of sync and they do that thing I think is done a little too much in Sanremo… which is just wandering aimlessly around the stage. Or maybe I just want my boy bands to be a little more in sync and dance-y after listening to kpop for so many year. But they still got better and better with each passing night.

Colapesce, Dimartino - Splash: Here are other performers who have been in Sanremo before with a song that I really liked, the year Måneskin won, called Musica Leggerissima. I can't make up my mind if I enjoy Splash more than that one tho. I don't know what it is about this song, but I get a bit of an Abba feeling from it. And maybe that's why I like it. But they are also very charming performers.

Lazza - Cenere: At the bottom of my top 5 in sanremo but it was still the song that I most wanted to go to Eurovision, out of the ones that I knew had a chance to go to Eurovision. This song is just so current, it would be a little different in the eurovision landscape and would stand out in the competition, just like Soldi did.

adhd is like the in thing this year

everyone seems to have it

“have” it should I say

um, my experience around adhd is my brother. and all I ever got from him having this disorder was complete and utter entitlement and what I preferred to refer to adhd as was “spoiled brat syndrome”

the only other person I ever met afterwards with adhd was a child. this was in 2011. this child... tho only a toddler, was the worst. we were visiting our former countryside neighbours and tho they’d had their dog for about 8 years, the baby was obvs new. we’d never met the kid before. but the kid basically attacked the dog. almost snapping the dogs neck. the dog reacted on instinct and almost went to bite the kid but didnt. it was a reaction. the owners screamed at the dog, threatned it and threw it out the back.

let me just say that I could see the kid pestering the dog the whole time and I was tryna keep him away from the dog to the best of my ability. almost as if it knew if it messed with the dog it’d get my attention. cause, yknow, attention seeking. cause I was like “ah ah, bad. dont hit the dog”

but the parents were just like “aah he’s just a baby”

it was frustrating as fuck. I’ve never hated a baby before.

I was thinking about it the whole way home like, if that’s how they acted while we were there, what are they like when we’re not. blaming the fucking dog for almost having its neck snapped??

so those were my only 2 experiences with someone with adhd.

and aside from a new therapy thing as of this year, I’d also, in my life, never met someone with ocd. ever.

but the most common phrase and kinda the tell all before you even get to know them and their “version” of ocd, is when they say “im so ocd about--”, “im ocd so I--”, “I’m very ocd.” these people are telling me that they ARE obsessive compulsive disorder.

and its one of the most common things Ive ever experienced. at my last job there wasn’t a single person that didn’t fail to tell me that they “are ocd about so and so”.

I’m not a podcast person. but I’ve been a Shane fan for as long as I can remember. and so I occasionally watch (not listen, cant do listening) to his podcast and his co-host, Lizzie, is just extremely likable.

but she just said there while I was watching “I’m adhd, I’ve a lot of thoughts”

and it got me thinking about people who do have adhd and how they feel about the current phenonemon that is everyone suddenly having being adhd.

and I also wonder how wrong I have it. but I can at least say I’ve been around actual people with it. my brother was diagnosed when he was a child and attention seeking is prominent to this day. he knows what he’s doing. he knows he’s annoying everyone. he fucking loves it.

but its most likely my niece has it too. she’s THE most hyper child ive ever met. cant sit still no matter what she’s doing. and I can see my parents repeating the pattern they did with my brother, especially my dad. just spoiling her everytime she asks for something. I love my niece. fave person in the world. but cause of my experience with my brother, I know when to not give in just cause she’s having a tantrum. I kinda talk to her like an adult. I get through to her. we have a great relationship.

but her adhd seems so different to my brothers (not that its all the same), but that, for my brother to still be acting like a brat at 25 and having barely grown up, I just think he was............... incredibly spoiled. she’s not being spoiled (she’s a lil spoiled), but not the way he was. he acted like he was oppressed if he didn’t have every single gaming console type thing. like... I’ve questioned this year if he ever even had it.

and then just questioning everyone else who says they have it cause they’re ~quirky~

In all seriousness, there’s a line Jason has in this issue that’s so unintentionally meta I might have to write a thousand posts about it.

Its the ‘but I always knew someday you’d screw up worse than anyone’ line, for me.

I feel like that’s at the heart of a lot of fandom issues. Specifically the way we’re always complaining about how Dick’s vilified for like, saying insensitive things sometimes with it treated like that’s comparable to times Jason’s physically attacked his brothers or Bruce has literally been abusive, etc, etc. Or how people are sometimes almost DESPERATE to treat “Dick threw Jason into Arkham/wanted to send Tim there” as something he actually did instead of just wild misrepresentations or outright fanon inventions.

Because the thing is.....like I’m always saying, Dick is not a perfect character! He messes up! But he doesn’t have a lot of history of doing explicitly terrible/harmful things to his friends and family OUTSIDE of times when he’s like....brainwashed or mind controlled.....but in large part this is because of how damn OFTEN he’s brainwashed and mind controlled to make him an antagonist to his friends and family! And that’s NOT to his character’s benefit, like, at ALL.

BUT I think a lot of fans of other characters PERCEIVE it to be. They look at the things other people hold against their own faves, and then look at Dick being mind controlled when he does his worst shit as like him getting some kind of free pass that lets him off the hook in the way their own faves aren’t for their worst moments. But again...these stories are not to Dick’s benefit! They hardly ever do ANYTHING to actually develop or advance his character. In most of them he’s at best a passenger or passive bystander in what’s supposed to be a story ABOUT him. At worst he’s all of that AND still blamed or held accountable IN CANON for the very things he had no agency in doing whatsoever....

And while yeah, there are always going to be Dick Grayson fans who make a big deal about how these things weren’t his fault and try and write fix-it fics for all of that, that’s literally no different from the way fans of ALL characters try to reframe, defend or fix worst behaviors of their faves.....

There is a fundamental discrepancy still, at the heart of this all. The awareness that acknowledged or not, characters aren’t responsible for what they’re written doing when they’re literally not in control of their own actions....versus responsible for what they’re written doing while traumatized or struggling, but still ultimately the only person in the driver’s seat of their own behavior.

And I think there’s a certain...resentment, built around the fact that for a lot of the shit Dick gets vilified for in fandom, fanon, and even in a lot of canon....we CAN say....you do know that he was literally brainwashed at the time? That he was amnesiac and with none of the learned behaviors or personality characteristics he’s spent the last fifteen years of his life cultivating? That he literally wasn’t himself at the time in a way that’s simply not true of various other characters who have at times lashed out in moments of trauma or hurt that are understandable but still not actually okay simply because they’re understandable?

And so I think that kinda...builds up, and tends to look for an outlet in the many ways people try and treat relatively minor infractions of Dick’s when he IS the only one responsible, as being on the same level as the more major ones of other characters.

As well as in the way it often feels like many fans are kinda just....WAITING for the moment that Dick ‘fucks up’ on par with the various things that are held against certain other characters.

Almost as if they feel they’re owed that kinda fuck up from his character, to level the playing field or whatever.

And like....that’s....not how that works? At all?

But hey, this is just me spitballing here. I’m just saying I think there’s at least something to this idea.

KDRAMAs THAT MADE ME FEEL SOMETHING

(not in any particular order)

disclaimer: I just started watching kdramas seriously this 2020. This is highly personal.

These dramas are the best, for me at least, and the ones that made me feel the most. 👌🏻

* Crash Landing On You 🏔

- This has been my black whole for kdramas-I went in and I never came back. This drama made me fall in love with kdramas.

- It is funny, romantic and heartwarming at the same time. It showed that sometimes strangers can be more home than your family.

- I loved the second couple just as much as the main.

- This helped me a lot through this year, I went through a hardcore ‘separation anxiety’ when it ended.

Feels like: a sunny day under a tree surrounded by flowers in full bloom 🌸🌺

Romance: so strong that it can light up the whole of North Korea (not my words)

Strengths: actor’s chemistry

Rewatch? : ABSOLUTELY

* The Tale of the Nine Tailed 🦊

- I don’t watch horror films AT ALL but the fact that I enjoyed this and loved it says a lot about how good this is.

- The magical character made it feel like I was reading a fantasy novel

- Family

- I loved some characters more than others and I wished some endings didn’t end the way they did BUT I understood.

Feels like: a hot bowl of soup on a rainy day

Romance: electric

Strengths: the BROTHERHOOD

Rewatch? : yes

* Extraordinary You 🌺

- the cutest but also mind-blowingly good

- Almost all characters are amiable. They are young but incredibly capable.

- It is like watching anime human version

- Will make you miss your youth (given that I am the same age as the actors)

Feels like: having butterflies in the stomach

Romance: the best of young love

Strengths: unique plot

Rewatch? : definitely!

* The King: Eternal Monarch 👑

- I watched this while it was airing and I very much enjoyed all the theories here on tumblr just as much as the drama itself

- Doppelgänger to a whole other level

- Thought provoking

- Strong independent individuals

- I loved this drama deeply and who wouldn’t fall in love with the male lead who is smart, decisive and loyal.

- The love line was mature without any misunderstanding.

- It will make you cry

- The ending was not perfect but it tied up mostly everything in the end. I wanted to see more of this world.

Feels like: reading a love poem

Romance: literal star-crossed lovers

Strengths: cinematography

* Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo 🏋️‍♀️

- okay, right now you just want a break from kdrama mind games. You just want a cute rom-com. This is the drama for you!

- This is relatable in the sense that you are not even an athlete but you think you know what it feels like

- Tremendously raw at times

Romance: adorable 😍

Strengths: friends that are family

Rewatch? : the type that you can watch over and over again

- dreamy and also “what a visual cast.”

- The first episode is an entire movie

- It is smart

- Will make you care for people you don’t even know

Feels like: a beautiful daydream

* It’s Okay Not To Be Okay 👠

- As you may have guessed from the title, it’s about mental health

- humanly tender

- It shows how the toughest battles are in your head

- This will make you bawl your eyes out

- Not for the weak at heart

- You will need a huggg after this

Feels like: sleeping in the softest silk

Romance: chemistry across all boards

Strengths: Fashion

Rewatch? : maybe? Just because it hurts (albeit the best way) and also because I already did

- This is something you can recommend anybody

- About life-it’s best and worst moments

- makes you wanna get your life together

- Also, it makes you want to wrap these people in comfy blankets and give them hot milk

Romance: it will grow on you

Strengths: acting was superb and OST!

- How can we make a list of kdramas without this main meal? Everyone loved this and I must say, rightfully so.

- Dynamic duo bromance

Feels like: experiencing the first snow fall

Strengths: everything about this was iconic

Rewatch? : highly likely

oh boy where do I start

so! you decide to move into an apartment with your friends Jean, Connie, and Sasha

cause the dorms at your college were hella overpriced

saving money was great, and how bad could it be living with 3 of your closest friends?

since it was a 2 bedroom apartment you shared a room with Sasha

Connie and Jean shared the other bed room

sharing a room with Sasha was interesting to say the least

Her side of the room was pretty messy most of the time but also organized at the same time?

like she knew where all of her stuff she needed was among the mess

it was impressive tbh

sneaks in snacks all the damn time

but she gives you “half” so you won’t tell Jean or Connie

weekends at night was so fun with Sasha

you two basically had slumber parties

so so so much snacks

doing each others’ hair and laughing and joking around watching movies

you guys laugh so hard sometimes Jean or Connie will yell at you guys to shut up which makes you two laugh even more

sometimes Sasha forgets about food she brings in

one day you woke up to a NASTY smell coming from Sasha’s side of the room

“Sasha it smells like something died wtf is that??”

“Oh! There’s where that steak went!”

she pulls out a whole ass steak from underneath her bed

it was green... and fuzzy....

you almost threw up when she debated taking a bite out of it.

that being said you slept on the couch for the next few days because of trauma

anyways

you also had to deal with/live with Jean and Connie too

which was kind of annoying but funny at the same time

depending on your mood

for example, whenever Connie and Sasha prank Jean you always end up laughing your ass off

but Connie’s pranks occur at the worst times sometimes

like one time Jean came home late around midnight after studying late at the library with Marco

so Connie thought it would be funny to prank him by slipping underneath his bed

when Jean entered the room he was too tired to even consider where Connie was.

when he reached his bed Connie grabbed his leg from underneath the bed

that was the loudest you’ve ever heard Jean scream

its kinda funny now that you think back at it

but boi in that moment you were pissed

they woke you up!! but not Sasha somehow

you barged into their room to find Connie laughing with tears streaming down his face and Jean who looked like he just had a heart attack

“WHAT ON EARTH IS GOING ON ITS ALMOST 1 IN THE MORNING!?”

“HAHAHAH I- HAHAHA- I GRABBED HIS- HAHAHA LEG” laughed Connie who was barely able to talk

insert eyeroll from you

“Jean what happened?”

seeing you all pissed somehow scared Jean more

“I- don’t know?” was all he said before he started crying??

he was super sleep deprived and the last thing he needed was to be spooked and yelled at

“Bro it was just a prank!” said Connie who was shocked at Jean’s expression

you couldn’t possibly yell at your sleep deprived roommate who was emotional af so you just gave him a hug

and gave Connie a well deserved lecture

so now you guys have a no pranks after midnight rule

don’t worry Jean got Connie back

he put a fake spider inside Connie’s laptop and boi Connie screamed louder than Jean that day

when it comes to cooking its usually you, Sasha, or Jean

Jean makes the best omelettes for breakfast every Saturday

everyone asks for seconds while Sasha asks for her fourth lol

you and Sasha usually make dinner or lunch throughout the week

Sasha makes the best steak and you make (fave food)

Connie tried to make cookies once and the cookie dough was amazing

but he accidentally burnt them and convinced himself he needs a break from the kitchen (unless its to eat)

you’re surprised you can even get your homework done with these chaotic people

Usually you just finish your homework in your room or with Jean at the kitchen table since he’s the calmest

you often tutor Sasha and Connie much to their delight and you’re a great tutor

their grades have been improving so much since you guys started living together

Connie was so grateful that he bought you your fav coffee/tea every day for a week

during breaks when you all are still at the apartment you guys just chill and watch movies

or do chaotic things

like one time Connie just happened to find a Ouija board

and the rest of you were dumb enough to play with it with him

needless to say you, Connie, and Sasha were scared shitless when the “ghost” said yes when asked if it was in their apartment

“Oh come on guys ghosts aren’t even real” said Jean

that night everyone somehow crowded onto Jean’s bed since he was the least scared

you thankfully woke up to no ghost

instead you woke up to Connie’s elbow in your ribs

and Sasha’s head resting on your thighs

and your head in Jean’s armpit *gag*

and that’s how you developed claustrophobia in beds jk

it was nice being curled up with some of your closest friends after being scared of something silly

they definitely made your college days so much more fun

you were actually sad knowing this living situation would be temporary

but for now you were gonna embrace the chaoticness of living with them

I’ve loved him from the start, but I haven’t seen many ppl share that sentiment, not as strongly at least hehe <xP Probably bc he wasn’t/isn’t (?) as interesting as the rest of the cast, but his kindheartedness captivated me almost immediately,, 🥺 I always thought it was sweet how he’d always be so nice to Bojji, and the fact that he was so attached to him from a very short age! And as I kept watching, my love for him did nothing but grow after seeing the way he reacted when he found out about Domas’ attempted murder. His undying loyalty and affection towards the prince, to the point that he was willing to risk and give up his LIFE after thinking that he had been unable to protect hIM— *SOB SOB*

❖𝐏𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐨𝐰 𝐌𝐞𝐨𝐰 (“𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜”/𝐮𝐧𝐩𝐨𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫/𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐥/𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐞): DAIDA!!!! My precious little boy AND meow meow!! 🥺 My opinion on him changed SIGNIFICANTLY over the course of the anime; went from hating his guts to being worried sick abt him all the time and constantly praying for his safety hsjdhkf </3 He has done some pretty awful things in the past (SPECIALLY to his brother, which is why I used to dislike him so much), but . . . the poor kid has many struggles of his own as well :( And while I’m not saying that justifies his actions, I do think I understand why he acted the way he did a lot better now. ( •́ω•̩̥̀ ) Overall, he’s just a rly complex character, and I love that about him!!!!

I think I could also put Desha under the same category as well. My beloved war criminal <3 <3 <3 /J

That being said, I’m gonna be voicing my opinion based on my current knowledge about these characters! So: Miranjo and King Bosse. They can both choke :) Specially Miranjo, eat shit and die and burn in Superhell forever. Kill kill bite bite kill kill bite.

Aside from dumb and dumber over there, I believe anyone who has ever wronged Bojji and Kage deserves death penalty. ♡ /hj
