With chapter 11 of @itlivesproject coming out soon I decided to draw height comparisons of my trio of It Lives MCs, as well as sharing various Headcanons of each of them.
Cassandra Xi
After Jane's death Cassandra tried explaining what happened but since no one believed her because they were just traumatized kids. She just stopped talking all together and went mute for several years. She didn't start talking to people again until about middle school after years of therapy, but she did learn to use sign language during the years she was non verbal. She even taught some sign language to Noah to help keep him grounded in his humanity.
As an only child Cassandra was always a bit jealous that Jane and Stacy both had brothers. It's also part of the reason she's so determined to help Noah, Jane was her best friend and when she was little she considered Noah her brother too. It also added to her guilt that she lost touch with Noah until their last year of high school.
After high school Cassandra eventually became a veterinarian and specializes in training service and therapy animals.
Part of the reason Cody targeted her so much with bullying is during freshman year he used to have a crush on her but Cassandra rejected and insulted him when he tried to ask her out, because he was a jerk to her other friends, particularly Andy. Cody never got over the fact she turned him down and humiliated him, especially by a girl who was so low on the popular social standing, so he would be extra cruel and physical when bullying Cassandra. It also added to Cassandra's guilt when he died, because as much as she despised Cody, maybe if she turned him down more gently back then he might still be alive.
Definitely one of the more fashionable of the It Lives MCs, tends to mix sporty with alternative or rocker fashion.
Keeps one of Andy's old basketball jerseys and wears it to bed like pjs
While she's the same height as Andy she often appears taller than him if she's wearing heels or boots with thick soles. Andy doesn't mind because 1 she looks hot 2 it's easier to kiss Cassandra's neck if she's a few inches taller than him when they make out and 3 Cassandra really likes it when Andy kisses her neck.
Cassandra and Andy would definitely be one of those Tik Tok couples that do adorable kisses while working out together.
Yusef Vance
Other than his height, which he inherited from his father, Yusef takes after his mother more in his physical features. Which is probably why Arthur was stricter with him, besides being the eldest Yusef looks more like Marie than his brother Elliott.
Yusef used to have a lot of anger issues when he was a kid after his birth father left. His stepfather Todd helped him learn to channel it constructively with boxing and teaching him to never hit people out of anger. Self defense or protecting someone else is another story, especially since it seems Yusef has a bit of his grandmother Josephine's temper too.
After discovering his parents' bodies Yusef developed a case of erythrophobia that triggers an anxiety attack if he sees a lot of red because it reminds him of the blood. As a result he no longer wears any red clothes, and stopped eating or drinking red foods and beverages like red wine, pasta sauce, ketchup, ect.
Yusef and Tom eventually develop a poly relationship with Imogen. It started out as both of them regularly checking in on her and helping her funeral planning and dealing with legal business after her parents deaths. Tom and Yusef often wound up spending the night at Imogen's place because she's still scared to sleep in that big house all by herself. Eventually they all just started sharing a bed together because all three off them would suffer nightmares. Tom often jokes that Imogen is their sugar mama, although Yusef often has to be the one to put his foot down and remind both Imogen and Tom not to overspend.
Phillipa "Pippa " Delphi
As a child Pippa once dressed up as Velma from Scooby-Doo together with Amelia as Daphne, and three other friends as the Mystery Inc gang for Halloween. Anne was still a toddler so she was dressed as a baby ghost. Her stroller was converted into the Mystery Machine van with some cardboard and paint. It was their best trick or treating candy haul.
Phillipa "developed " at a young age and is forever disappointed that genetics wouldn't let her grow taller, because if she could she'd definitely trade in her D cup bust line to be at least 5ft5.
Pippa's petite build and genuine personality seems to have an oddly calming effect on people. Especially Jocelyn despite her initial hostility, Phillipa has been very effective at keeping Jocelyn nerves steady. Cassandra believes Pippa has a calming effect on Jocelyn like a human version of an emotional support pet.
Despite her small stature and not being as physically strong or intimidating as Amelia and Jocelyn, Philippa is a deadly sharpshooter.
Part of the reason Pippa is so familiar with firearms is she used to go duck hunting with her parents when she was young. She even won some youth clay shooting competitions as a kid and several of her relatives used to call her their very own "Annie Oakley."
Often wears mismatched socks, started as a good luck habit before she did target companions.
Since Abel only wears pj bottoms when Philippa's relationship with him gets serious enough to spend the night, Abel lends her the tops for his pj sets. They are adorably oversized on her.

The way Marisha and Taliesin recoiled at the idea of Keyleth and Percy being in a sexual relationship was amazing.
And the solid belief of both Taliesen and Marisha that neither Kiki and Percy would ever touch each other in a sexual, except if Vex was involved.
But also, I love Marisha brought up the chilliness between Percy and Kiki! I love that it’s a little because they’re both being formal, playing good cop and bad cop, AND there might have been frictions between Percy and Kiki.
Taliesin is still of the idea that Percy can still be a little too bloody minded and that despite being best friends, Keyleth and Percy still have some arguments.
They are both leaders of their own respective places and sometimes what Whitestone prioritizes can be against what Zephra needs.
Also Percy being the Bruce Wayne from Batman Beyond. Amazing.
I also love Marisha clocked that Ashton was way too quiet when Laudna returned. Both Marisha and Tal are excited to have another one on one with each other.
And honestly, I look forward to both of Laudna’s interactions with Imogen and Ashton equally!
But also Taliesin’s knowing: “fRieNd???” when Marisha called Imogen Laudna’s friend.
You know he wanted to poke on that more.
But gah, everything’s reset back to zero for Laudna. She has a lot to work with to regain the certainty she lost about herself.
The good thing is this go around, Laudna is no longer alone to do it. She’s no longer like Tom Hanks in Castaway making imaginary friends.
She has real people willing to help her.
I am so EXCITED for everything.

Lucas/Jo Wedding Details (with some edits by me).
Source for questions
How long were they together before they got engaged?
4 years. They started dating sometime in their senior year of high school, and got engaged while Lucas was in his final year of college.
Who proposed and how?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(screenshots from @itlivesproject)
Going by the ILW timeline, Lucas. He proposes after the memorial when they're back at their shared home.
With Jo spending all these years helping Noah, and Lucas studying at college, she'd been a little more unsure of how he felt about their relationship and how close they actually were. But once she heard "these four years we've been together? We've had our ups and downs, but ultimately, we're here. You and I", that was how she knew he felt confident about their relationship, and it made her feel confident too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(more screenshots from @itlivesproject, for the ring description)
I do think Jo is also the type to propose, though she probably wouldn't have done so as soon as Lucas did, for the aforementioned reason of her being more unsure.
How long was the engagement?
One year, they waited until Lucas had graduated from college and then they married in early-mid July. It was kind of a tough call, because Jo really wanted a summer wedding, but Lucas wanted to take Jo's last name and kinda preferred for "Lucas Hunter" to show up on his diploma. But they managed to work things out.
Where was the Wedding?
The ceremony takes place in an area next to a small river/lake just outside of Westchester, and the reception takes place in the ballroom of a nearby hotel.
Colors/Theme?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Backgrounds from the Choices game assets)
Lucas being Lucas, he also adores rustic old-fashioned aesthetics, and Jo shares his enjoyment of that, so that tends to be a bit of a recurring theme.
Big Wedding or Small?
They only invite their closest friends and family.
Who did most of the planning?
Mostly Lucas because he's the organized planner type, but both of them did have equal say in it.
Tell me about the cake!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Images used/edited from the Choices game assets)
A layered duo-flavor cake, chocolate and pink champagne.
What about the flowers?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Images from the Choices game assets)
Mostly light-colored roses.
Tumblr media
(Images from the Choices game assets)
Jo's bouquet. The two plan to do a little twist to the bouquet toss.
Their attire?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lucas wears a nice, form-fitting suit. He isn't quite as interested in wearing dresses or more skin-showing clothing as Aiden is, and tends to prefer very form-fitting clothing. And he knows how much Jo loves it too. Seriously, she would not, does not, and will never shut the fuck up about how well his hoco suit hugged his waist and hips. So he goes with a fairly form-fitting old-fashioned tux. And since they're reversing the garter toss tradition, he chooses to wear one over the suit.
Jo was initially torn between suit or dress. She tends to prefer pant suits, but she also sometimes likes a big long gown to hide, er, certain things under it. In the end, she chooses to go with a combination: a wedding gown with a suit jacket over it.
Wedding Party?
Jo's bridal party consists of:
Ava, who is her maid of honor
Lily
Stacy
Harper Addison (my ILB demigirl MC)
Imogen
Danni
Amalia
Jocelyn
Lucas's groom party consists of
Andy, who is his best man
Dan
Noah
Tom
Parker
Abel
Cedric (my ILW m!MC)
Connor
Lincoln
Fun fact, Ava is the maid of honor for Jo because I've always had this headcanon that of the ILITW group, Ava and Jo had been extra close friends as kids. Almost as much as Jo and Jane were.
Which traditions were important to them? Which ones did they skip?
Lucas likes rustic old-fashioned aesthetics a lot, so they do use some aspects from that a bit. But most traditions might be reversed or have a little twist on them.
The two meet at the start of the aisle and then walk down together.
Jo carries the bouquet, but she hands it over to Lucas for him to do the bouquet toss.
Meanwhile, the garter toss gets a full role-reversal with Lucas being the one to wear it and Jo being the one to toss it.
Their first dance starts with a role-reversed ballroom waltz, then morphs into an upbeat Roaring 20's style dance that is mostly gender neutral.
After the ceremony, the reception went as follows:
First, is the first dance.
Bouquet and garter tosses are next. Tom caught the bouquet and Harper Addison caught the garter.
Dinner and cake next. Cue Jo playfully smushing cake into his face to get icing all over his mouth.
Toasts. IDK about the rest of the characters, but Ava has been preparing the ultimate roast for them ever since she heard of Lucas's plans to propose.
Last, is the actual party.
What about something that was uniquely ‘them’?
Probably the way they utilize a lot of "old fashioned" aesthetics, with a lot of role-reversed/GNC elements.
What’s their favorite memory of the day?
All of them. They can't decide on one. Though for Jo it'd probably have to be their wedding night when they, ahem, "consummate" their marriage.
Where did they go for their honeymoon?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Backgrounds from the Choices game assets)
After spending the wedding night together at the hotel, the two would spend a two-week honeymoon in Vegas.

Question for all the mods (and sorry if this has been already answered) but who are y'all fav lis Outta the 4 & who would y'all be with IRL (anyone from the it lives universe)
Lindsay (mod win): this may come as a shock to you, but my favorite ILW LI is Lincoln. I love the romantic and sexual tension of a good slow burn, and I love the whole trope of being the one to get past the LI’s protective layers. If I could choose anyone for myself out of the whole It Lives universe though... idk actually. All I know is love Lincoln & eat hot chip.
Maggie: also unsurprisingly, my favorite LI of the four is Abel. If I could choose anyone to be with irl tho? It would probably be a toss up between Connor and Abel. Hot, loyal, funny, and good boyfriend material. They tick all my boxes.
M: you know, I don't really have a favourite LI for myself, per se. Sometimes I see characters as people I like or dislike, and sometimes I see them as plot devices, which is definitely the case here. Not that that's a bad thing—a character, in its barest form, is a plot device—but I don't really think so much about who I'd want to hang out with/date as much as I think about what they contribute to the narrative, how they'll influence the protagonist's arc, etc. That being said, my favourite is Matthias. (Go ahead, guess why ;)) But also I would absolutely date my little rat gremlin Noah.
Aku: Jocelyn. I just love big strong women who would kill for me 🥺💜 Also, I don't actually see myself romantically with anyone from the ILA universe, but if speaking platonically, then I would choose Imogen. She's such a sweet and caring girl I'd love to be with her 🥰
Shionch: I love Lincoln, he's my main LI and seeing him smile melts my heart, although irl I'd probably go after Amalia because our values align and I'm a sucker for beautiful women.
Hashie: I have a thing for men with facial hair, so Lincoln (and his dad) would be my main LI in ILW. His personality is also a bonus point. I’m not sure about irl but if i have to pick one, then it would probably be Linky too. We both share interest in art, and I adore his unconventional ways of showing his love.
Eri: As Amalia's head writer, the favoritism is really strong. Like a mother incapable of seeing her child lesser than or even on the same caliber as another, I'm incapable of making an mc that's not romancing her lol. That said the other writers have created MAGNIFICENT routes for the other lis and I must play them at some point. Irl I'd most likely date Abel, he's exactly my type
Alex: if you’re not aware, i’m the biggest jocelyn simp known to mankind, so i’d have to choose her. being one of her head writers has really made me fall in love with her. hot buff himbo women just do something to me. as for irl, i think i would still say jocelyn. i just have such a strong attachment to her and the way we’ve written her just can’t be matched imo.
SUGAR: this is a hard question. my main Li is Abel as of right now, for pretty much everything abt him, going from his looks to his height, to his intentionality with being a part of his culture, his nerdiness and how he speaks abt thing he cares for; he’s perfect for my mc as well! for ME though, (very hard) i’d say tom is my #1. for many reasons, but the main reason why is bc tom is closer to me in age, thus allowing for our relationship defining interests to be closer aligned <3

reposting a discord rp call:
hello! doing another rp 1x1 search because i forgot my email on the other account and moved over here:
im duckie 26, she/her, est! i only write with writes 21+ in just about any kind of plot that seems exciting at the time. i don’t follow too many fandoms but definitely dont mind writing
              cc x cc
              cc x oc
oc x oc (in a certain verse ex. hogwarts)
i usually go for angsty plots that really take a dive into a story, slice of life is fun and i dont min jumping into it but i always find that it runs dry after the main goal of the plot is covered. so, i just want to feel excited doing headcanons and coming up with the next chapter of the plot while being able to build up our characters and really experience the fun of writing!              im not a stickler on activity, i’m usually around a lot but will never push for replies, i just would like to know if you’re more of a busy person that the activity might not be as frequent, which is perfectly fine with me!       some plots i go for:
          forbidden love
          age gaps (all above 21+)
          domestic fluff
          bad boy / innocent girl
          best friend to lovers
          mafia plots
supernatural (the genre not the show lol)
it’s cozy halloween season so give me fall vibes, give me creepy horror mystery! i want to feel the fun of the season with maybe a ghost hunting team, scooby doo style mystery solvers, or a haunted apartment and they are neighbors just trying to figure out what’s going on       (hear me out. a match maker who recently passed away and instead of creepy haunts... they are determined to get two neighbors together after seeing they would be great together!?)
i don’t really have a set of fcs i use or prefer writing against, really it’s who i feel fits the vibe of what we are going for, i write both male and female fcs so we can switch it up!                disclaimer: i do write NSFW but i am not expecting it, if you are comfortable with smut that’s great but if not don’t stress it’s not my top priority
like this or message me in my dms and we can plot something fun out!
yes! this is just a repost but i have been wanting to get some more experience plotting and doing 1x1 plots
some fcs that i love writing: oscar isaac, jeremy allen white, david castaneda, tom holland, skeet ulrich, miles teller, jordan connor, charles melton, henry golding, kendrick sampson, henry cavill, dacre montgomery ashley moore, christina nadin, madeline petsch, madelyne cline, imogen poots, ana de armas

Choices LIs
I've done something like this before, but it was nearly three years ago, so it's time for an update. (Plus, I saw this floating around, and I was bored, so why not?)
Books with a single LI: I tend to default to the female version of any customizable LI, especially on a first playthrough. I'll sometimes romance a male LI with a male MC, but I rarely do m/f romances. The exception is A Very Scandalous Proposal; I don't like the Ava sprites, so I almost always choose Simon instead.
In this category, I like Trystan Thorne, Kieran, Dakota Winchester, Simon Montjoy, Manu Nakeli, and Kit Jackson. I feel pretty neutral toward Cassian Keane, Clarke, and Jacqueline Monroe. I don't like Sam Dalton. And the entire book Surrender can kindly fuck off.
Across the Void: Gonna be honest, despite having read this through at least twice, I wouldn't be able to tell you a thing about the LIs or their personalities. I think I went for Titania my first playthrough - or was it Kepler?
America's Most Eligible: Jen's my favorite here, though I'd like to try a run where I dump someone for Bianca.
Baby Bump: Myra.
Bachelorette Party: Aisha.
Big Sky Country: I love Juliette dearly, but sometimes my Hallmark-loving brain kicks in and I have to pick Sawyer.
Blades of Light and Shadow: All four are amazing and I love them. I love my ladies the best, but I have a soft spot for Tyril as well. I'd love a big polycule here.
Bloodbound: Kamilah takes the top spot, but Lily's a close second.
A Courtesan of Rome: Sabina and Syphax are tied as my favorites, and I'm becoming more fond of Cassius the more I play. I'd like Antony to go away forever, please.
The Crown and the Flame: For Kenna, I alternate between Val and Annelyse. For Dom, I prefer Sei.
Desire and Decorum: Annabelle, always.
Distant Shores: I actually tend to go for Edward here, surprisingly. Almost always with a male MC, though.
The Elementalists: Shreya or Aster.
Endless Summer: I've tried all four. With female MCs, I tend to lean toward Quinn. With male MCs, I like Estela or Sean.
Foreign Affairs: Either Tatum or Ayna.
The Freshman: Becca is my queen. I also like Kaitlyn and Zig, but it's hard to pass up Becca's route.
The Haunting of Braidwood Manor: Eleanor. Is there even really a choice here?
The Heist: Monaco: Sonia. This is one of the few instances where a guaranteed female character is written as the "main" love interest, and she's amazing and I love her romance route.
Hero: Eva.
High School Story: Emma or Maria.
High School Story: Class Act: Skye.
Home for the Holidays: Holly.
Hot Couture: Luz.
Immortal Desires: Both. Both is good.
It Lives Beneath: Probably Imogen or Tom.
It Lives in the Woods: Andy or Ava.
Laws of Attraction: Aislinn.
LoveHacks: Ben.
Mother of the Year: I love all three equally. I literally cycle through them each time I play.
My Two First Loves: I went for Ava the first time, but I really love Noah as well.
Nightbound: Vera or Cal.
Open Heart: Jackie and Rafael are my favorites, but I think Bryce is awesome as well. I can't stand the other guy.
Passport to Romance: Um... Marisa, I suppose?
Perfect Match: Hayden, Sloane, and Alana. Though sometimes I'll go for the entire polycule, because I can.
Platinum: No strong preference here. Maybe Raleigh? Though I like Shane's vibes as well.
Queen B: Zoey, with a dose of flirting with Poppy.
Red Carpet Diaries: Teja, I guess, though the whole series is sort of meh for me.
Ride or Die: Probably Mona's at the top, though I have enjoyed doing Colt and Logan runs before.
Rising Tides: No preference. Honestly, I don't even remember who I chose the first time.
The Royal Masquerade: Kayden. Mostly because of the looks thing, honestly.
The Royal Romance: Hana. Though if I could choose Olivia, I'd be all over that.
Rules of Engagement: Dean for the MC, and Mira for the Party Twin.
Save the Date: Lindsay or Simon.
Slow Burn: Still playing for the first time, but so far I think I prefer Julia.
Sunkissed: Eliana.
The Unexpected Heiress: Gemma.
Veil of Secrets: Kate and Naomi.
Wishful Thinking: Jaime.
Wolf Bride: Morgan. Go away, wolf dude.

Okay, so lots of people wanted this and so, I am compiling a list of my favourite books (both fiction and non-fiction), books that I recommend you read as soon as humanly possible. In the meantime, I’ll be pinning this post to the top of my blog (once I work out how to do that lmao) so it will be accessible for old and new followers. I’m going to order this list thematically, I think, just to keep everything tidy and orderly. Things ILITW did right:
-The cast. The cast was fucking incredible. They all had their own unique problems and we got to glimpse into their lives by playing as them. Additionally, there wasn’t anyone in the group I didn’t like. Lily was my least favorite but even she was a likable character.
-Dan. Dan doesn’t get a lot of screentime, and even though he’s technically a member of the main gang, he’s more of a side character. But PB still made me fall in love with his storyline. It really resonated with me. He was clearly grappling with the trauma from Jane’s death years and years into the future, but since he was the star football quarterback, he felt he couldn’t show any signs of weakness or ask for help. If he survives the final encounter with Jane, he becomes a trauma counselor, and he seems so much happier and more at ease with himself. I love that for him.
-Jane. It’s already been established that I’m terrible at predicting twists, but finding out that Jane was the monster all along at the end of chapter 14 shocked me to my core. I remember yelling at the revelation, I was so surprised. I was both amazed and appalled that Jane was the cause of all the chaos, violence, and terror throughout the story. Jane was the perfect villain.
-The vibe. The vibe is more creepy (while ILB is just outright scary and goes straight for the fear factor) and I think this book really benefitted from the creepiness rather than forcing sheer terror upon us in the first book.
-The lore. ‘Nuff said.
-The pets! We get a baby crow FOR FREE, can babysit Hilda (good fluffy dog!), can get an adorable black kitten, AND can even get a vine monster pet!
-The love interests. In my opinion, all the love interests are fairly equal to each other (except Andy, who blows the rest of them away because he is FANTASTIC). I’m pretty sure most of them get equal amounts of scenes and the nerve boosts make them OP as hell.
-The shed. I loved getting to go to the shed in the chapters for weapons, the lore documents, the pets, clues, and what have you. It was nice that it actually served a role in the story.
-The outfits. There wasn’t a single outfit in MC’s closet I didn’t like. And, while I’m on the topic of the outfits, I also appreciate the lack of outfits. There are only three times in the story where we’re presented with the option to buy outfits. The beginning, before Britney’s party, and before homecoming. That’s it. The clothes and outfits aren’t constantly hawked at us for purchase, unlike...other stories.
-The cast deaths. This is a little morbid, but I thought the ways the main cast died were honestly kind of cool, and I liked how some of their causes of death also reflected key points of the story. Ava being toyed with and flung around to her death like how she used her powers, Andy being torn apart from the inside by spiders, Lily being picked apart by birds, it was morbid and creepy and gross and I loved it. The art team drawing the cast’s dead bodies at the end for maximum shock impact was also a nice touch, and I kinda wish they did that for ILB.
-The nerve. I think the nerve loss/gain was pretty on-point in this book. Nerve loss was kind of big, I will admit, but it was usually pretty easy to get lost nerve back. On my first playthrough with no diamond purchases, not a single character died.
-The memorial. Seeing all the different dialogue outcomes when the entire group is dead or when only one person is dead, or when Noah survives or MC survives, there was obviously a lot of thought put into the memorial. It was very heartbreaking and very well done.
-The music. What a bop.
-The plot. The plot was very well paced, and every chapter contributed pretty evenly to the plot. In other words, filler in this book was at an all-time low. The only chapter that was kind of filler-y was the homecoming chapter, but that was to trick us into thinking the fight was over.
-The romance. As I’ve mentioned before, It Lives has a very, very high stakes plot. This inevitably led to the romance/dating features taking a backseat to the main plot, which of course, was necessary. It doesn’t make sense having romance as the main focus when a homicidal shadow monster is hunting you and your friends down, after all.
-The mental health and trauma mentions. Overall, mental health and trauma can be kind of tricky to talk about, and need to be handled very carefully. I felt that ILITW was very respectful and careful in that regard, and mentions of mental health were handled as realistically as they could be in a supernatural horror story.
Things ILITW really could’ve improved:
-Lily, Ava, and MC. Lily, Ava, and MC’s storylines felt considerably weaker than the rest of the cast. The storylines just felt...lacking. All three were bullied by Jocelyn, Britney, and Cody, though Lily and MC got the brunt of it. Ava’s storyline mainly focused on gaining and losing her powers, which wrapped itself up within 3 or 4 chapters. The bullying plot ended after chapter 7 when Cody died and wasn’t really mentioned again, and Lily’s storyline shifted its focus onto her relationship with Britney. MC felt more like a self-insert than an actual character throughout most of the story (ILB MC definitely felt like more of a character). Not to say they were a bad character, but they were definitely lacking.
-The nerve checks. Unlike ILB, the ILITW nerve checks didn’t really do anything. At least, not until the final game with Jane. In ILB, you paid the price if your friends didn’t pass the nerve checks spread throughout the conflicts. If Tom fails his nerve check, your MC loses a finger, nerve, and Tom suffers a breakdown. Danni betrays the group if she doesn’t pass hers. Imogen’s isn’t terribly high stakes, but she does lose her connection to the power if she doesn’t pass the nerve check. Parker accidentally shoots Kelley and abandons the group forever if he fails his. Failing the first group nerve check will cause Tom to snap and cause a massive argument. Failing the second group nerve check will result in the death of whoever has the lowest nerve. In ILITW, nerve checks simply yield different dialogue, and at the end, determine whether a character will live or die, though this seems to be partially randomized.
-The flashbacks. Maybe it’s just me, but I felt like there were too many flashbacks, and that some of them could’ve been lumped together.
-The side characters. Personally, I find that the side characters in stories are the most interesting. Unfortunately, most of the side characters didn’t get a lot of development and were used simply as plot devices or character development for the main cast. Jocelyn, Britney, Cody, and even Ben could’ve been fleshed out much more. Tom was also severely lacking in development in ILITW, but he was upgraded to a main cast member and love interest in ILB, so that problem solved itself.

The world keeps spinning (it really shouldn't)
Vance did it. He defeated Josephine, saved his grandpa and Elliot, and saved the town. Everything's fixed.
No. Everything is awful. He failed, and now his friend- now Tom is gone.
And he'd rather fight Josephine all over again, because it'd be easier than what he has to do now- tell Andy about it.
Fandom: It Lives (Visual Novels)
Relationships: Andy Kang/Tom Sato, Danni Asturias/Imogen Wescott, (dannimogen is background and very brief but i couldn't resist), Andy Kang & Ava Cunningham & Lucas Thomas & Lily Ortiz
Additional Tags: tom dies and everything is awful, Angst, Grief/Mourning, Friendship, for basic context im going with the version of ILITW that i got, which is that everyone survived and noah took jane's place, and then for ILB i did the version where tom dies obviously, (which is not the version i got), (everyone survived), (i feel the need to say this for my own ego), but anyway i was like what if tho. andy would be devastated, and then... this happened?, only difference from canon is that ILITW MC told everyone about noah a lot before, also like. imma be real with yall, im physically uncapable of giving my MCs serious names, so ILB MC was named That Bitch and i didnt want to give him a real name, cuz it felt like betrayal, so im just calling him vance for this one, is it his nickname? is he called vance vance? dont worry about it, Anyway that's it, Pining, you know. before the death part. it's mentioned, also we're ignoring the whole richard tries to murder MC thing, cuz i dont have time for that, so pretend ILB ended on chapter 17, Hopeful Ending, considering the theme i mean
Read it on Ao3
The city of Westchester looks exactly the same, but somehow feels a lot less wholesome, now. Vance walks in it and feels like a corpse among the living, like a ghost screaming to everyone that something's wrong. And being ignored.
It shouldn't look the same, without Tom.
But no one knows, yet.
He swallows, running a hand behind the nape of his neck. That's why he's here, anyway - they should know, they deserve to know, and he doesn't want to have the funeral without Tom's friends there.
Which is why he's going to tell Andy. Himself, in person. Because he might not know him very well, but he wants to do the right thing, and that's the least Andy deserves. He knows there's no one Tom loved like he did Andy, and from what he's seen of them together, the feeling was mutual.
He has to do this. But he feels sick, just thinking about that bond, and how it was ruined.
How could he let this happen to them?
He was so cocky, so stupid, so reckless... He thought everything would turn out okay. Assumed it would, even, because it kept getting him through it, to think that everything would turn out fine.
God. What a joke.
He walks into the little diner Andy had recommended. I'm sure you've heard of that place, Tom loves it, he had texted. We always went there to celebrate our wins back in high school. His stomach had churned, but he didn't say anything, because he wasn't going to tell Andy via text. He has to do this right. It's the least he owes him.
So he pretended that everything was fine, and agreed to meet him there. Woke up, and dragged himself to the place, trying to muster up the courage to face the world that seemed to not even care about his mistakes.
When he gets to the diner's door, he takes a deep breath, trying to ground himself for what he's about to do. Face his own mistakes. Face the pain he caused when he failed them both.
He walks in, and to his relief, and despair, Andy is already there. He smiles brightly when he sees Vance, and Vance wants to disappear.
"Vance! Nice to see you, dude. I heard about what went down in Pine Springs, glad you're okay," he says, not giving time for Vance to answer before continuing, this weird sense of calm and sympathy about him. "So, I assume you still need help with that ghost? From what I've seen in the news, it seemed like you handled it pretty well, but it's not like they are giving us supernatural updates or anything, so I figured there were still some loose ends to tie. Are the other guys coming? Where's Tom?" he looks over behind Vance, and Vance wants to die at the question. God, how is he going to tell him? He didn't really think about that, beyond the part where he has to. "I kind of thought you'd come together again. Bad move to come separated, Tom is always late to everything, I swear if it weren't for me he'd have been kicked out of the team for missing practice too many times. And I'm not the most punctual guy in the world, mind you, but I still had to drag his ass there so he'd be on time- is everything okay?"
Vance is a little shocked by the question. It's not, but what is he supposed to answer? "Andy," he says, a little careful, "things… went a little wrong, back there."
"Oh, shoot," he says, "I'm sorry, man, I kinda assumed, when I heard about how the flooding and the animal attacks were in full swing and then just stopped suddenly, that that was when you got rid of the ghost, you know? And seeing you all in one piece… I thought it was over already. Do you need help? I can round up the guys, and we can go-"
"No, Andy," Vance says, "the ghost is gone."
Andy looks at him, confused. "Then what's the problem?"
"Tom," he says, then winces when he sees all the color drain from Andy's face.
Andy waits for barely a second, then breaks into anxious questioning. "Tom? Why? What do you mean? Is he hurt? How bad is it? Did he have to go to the hospital? Where is he?"
Vance wants to cry. God. God. He can't do this. "Andy..."
Andy just looks at him, eyes wild, terrified, and it hasn't even hit him yet. "Vance. Vance. Please. What happened? Does Tom need me? Because if so, we need to go-"
"Tom's gone," he says, and it leaves him in a rush, a whisper, taking with it the last of his energy. He's empty, and somehow, it's still awful. "He's… he's dead, Andy."
Andy looks at him, eyes wide, unfocused, lost. "This isn't funny," he says. "If Tom put you up to this, knock it off right now. Tell him not to ever joke about-"
"Andy," Vance says, then swallows. "Tom wouldn't joke about that. You know that."
"No, he wouldn't, but..." His eyes begin to water, panic settling in, gaze darting across the room as if searching for him, "But… No. No. No, knock it off."
Vance starts crying before Andy does. "I'm sorry, Andy."
--------
Andy is in shock. He freezes in place, mouth hanging open, everything about him completely still except for his eyes, still so damn wide, still searching the place, searching Vance, begging for something, anything. Vance sits him back down on the table, gently, and Andy lets himself be handled back, eyes still not settling on him.
"I'm sorry," Vance says. "I… I promised you that I would take care of him. I tried, but… I'm so sorry."
"How?" he asks, "how could this happen? This isn't… After Redfield, when everyone survived, I just… I didn't think any of us could lose to another monster, I..." He shakes his head, vigorously, desperately. "This was supposed to be over. We were done, we were free, it was supposed to be over, we were all supposed to be safe, it shouldn't..."
"I'm sorry. It all happened so fast, I… If I had been faster, maybe..."
"Well, it's a bit late for that now," Andy snaps, and Vance bites his lip, not recoiling, because he deserves it. Then Andy stops, as if realizing what he had said, and for a second, his eyes seem clear again. He shakes his head. "No. I'm sorry. I… If there's anything I've learnt from everything that happened, it's that we can't point fingers when things get hard." He finally looks up at Vance, shaking, eerily still, nothing like the guy he was just seconds ago. He's wrecked, Vance thinks, and he wants to tear at himself in guilt. "What happened? Did he- did he drown, or… Did the ghost..."
"We were fighting monsters," Vance explains. "There were just… So many of them, and it all happened so fast, I..." he looks away, not daring to look back at the memory, not daring to remember the awful scene. As if he has to. Everytime he closes his eyes, it's back, punishing him. "We got his body," he explains. "Pine Springs is taking the victims to mass graves, but we wanted to give him a proper burial. I thought… You'd want to come."
Andy seems surprised, like that hadn't crossed his mind. "You haven't buried him yet?"
Vance bites his lip. "No. We're doing it tonight. We didn't have the time before, and… Well, I thought you'd want to be there. And I think he'd have wanted his body to be in Westchester, so..." He trails off.
Andy looks at him, hesitant. He bites his lip, looks away, then back at him. "Can I see the body?"
Vance does recoil, this time. He wasn't expecting this question. "I… You won't want to."
"What do you mean, I won't want to? I need to say goodbye to him, I-"
"Andy," he says, as gently as possible, because he deserves Andy's anger, all of it, but he won't let him do that to himself. "You won't want to remember him like that. His body…" He looks at Andy's eyes. He's still furious, livid, shaking, and he's lost, and Vance realizes that he doesn't get it, doesn't understand what Vance is saying, and this might be even worse than having to tell him Tom is dead. "It's torn to pieces, Andy. There's not much for you to see."
Andy freezes, for the second time that day. "Was he- oh, god," he looks at his own shaky hands, somehow even more in shock than before. "Was it… At least, was it quick?"
Vance starts crying again. He opens his mouth to answer. He can't. He chokes on the words, on his guilt, on his uselessness. "I'm so sorry, Andy."
------
Andy throws up. Once, twice. He doesn't insist on looking at the body. Obviously, he can't. Just imagining it- it's too much.
He tries to comfort Vance, because he- he's trying to do better, with his anger, with his impulsiveness, but all he can think about is how much he wants to destroy something, and honestly, the whole conversation is a blur. He punches the wall instead, once he gets home. And throws up. Again and again. Sends his friends a message, letting them know about the funeral. Cries. Punches the wall again. And again, and again, hoping that his hands will start to bleed, that he'll tear himself apart. His mom asks what's got him so angry, and he yells, "Tom is dead!". Her face twists in shock, and he can't look at it. He runs away.
Being back outside is almost worse. Everything- it should be in shambles. The whole town, the whole world should be on fire, fizzling, filled with screams and despair, like Andy is. He's never lived in a world without Tom before, never been away from him his whole life, and it shouldn't look like it's just the same. Everything should be gone, destroyed. And it is, but it doesn't look that way, and Andy wants to tear it all apart until it makes sense, at least.
He hates Westchester now. He hates it. God damn the stupid woods, and the stupid cult, and the fucking Power! God damn Andy for telling Tom about it, for letting him become this sort of- monster hunter, for believing that just because they overcame a ghost once, it would keep happening if they pushed their luck.
This wasn't supposed to happen.
Tom can't be dead. It's impossible.
How can Andy still be standing, if Tom isn't here?
---------
He wanders like that the rest of the day, not noticing the hunger that builds up after going a whole day without eating, not noticing the passersby looking at him worriedly, not noticing the thousands of missed calls from his mom, not noticing anything but this awful despair. He knows the feeling of wanting to claw his chest off intimately well, but it's never been like that before. He wants to carve himself hollow. He wants to scream. He wants to run. And he runs from the all-encompassing nothingness, even though he has nowhere to go.
He goes from angry to empty, and then back to angry, all day long, and the day passes in a blur.
--------
Andy meets up with Vance and two girls from their crew. Their group was pretty small, he realizes. A lot smaller than Andy's was, all those years ago. Three years ago. Forever ago. Another lifetime. Just yesterday.
The cemetery is empty, but there's a grave with a black casket they're standing next to. "I thought all the cemetery crew was helping Pine Springs," he says, like he cares. Honestly, he hadn't thought about the logistics of this at all.
"They are," Vance confirms, serious. "You, uh… You know about Noah, right…?"
Andy nods. "Yeah, we, uh, reintroduced ourselves to him a little after you guys left." It was weird, to say the least. All that anger, all that betrayal, bubbling up again right when they had all started to move on from what had happened, to think that it was over… The urge to scream at him, demand answers… And then seeing all the hurt, and the confusion, and remembering that they had loved Noah, once, most of their lives, and that at the end of the day, the only one who had suffered from his actions was himself.
It wasn't easy to forgive. Not to Andy. Or Stacy. Or Ava. But they had been working on it. Maybe they couldn't forgive, much less forget, but at the same time, they couldn't get rid of that bond, either.
Still… "What does this have to do with… With Tom?" If Noah had anything to do with his death, Andy would kill him all over again. He doesn't care about his freaky powers, he'll die if he has to, but Noah will pay.
"He, uh, helped. Dig the grave and, uh, get a casket. That's how we got everything ready."
Oh. "I… I see," he says. "Is he here?"
"No. I told him you guys were coming, and he said it was better if he left."
"Oh," Andy answers. "I guess that's… Yeah. Still..." he raises his voice a little bit, in the direction of the woods. "Thank you, Noah."
He doesn't see or hear anything, not really, but still, somehow, he can tell that Noah is pleased. He can picture Noah's smile and that fragile little "friendsss..."
He sighs, suddenly exhausted.
Vance seems to notice, god bless his soul. "Are the others coming?", he asks, gently.
"Lily, Lucas, and Ava are," Andy replies. "The rest were out of town, and they… They won't make it."
"I'm sorry."
Andy kicks a pebble. "It's fine," he says. It's the kind of lie that's so absurd that it becomes true. Nothing is fine. It'll never be fine. So it doesn't matter at all, and it ends up being fine.
Vance seems to realize what's going through his head, somehow, because he looks unsure of what to say. Finally, he settles on, "uh, Andy. These are Danni, and Imogen," he says, gesturing to each of them, and Andy musters up enough energy to look at their faces while he does that, at least. Then, his eyes widen for a second, finally taking in what they look like.
"Wait, you're Imogen Wescott?" he says, a little dumbfounded. "When I heard that name, I kinda expected you to be, you know..."
"White and insufferable?" Imogen asks, a little smile directed at him, so gentle he can barely handle it. "Yeah. That's why I'd rather go by Genny, usually."
Danni frowns at her, slightly troubled. "You never told me that."
Imogen's smile turns a little brighter. "Oh, no, not for you, Danni. For you, I'd rather go by 'babe'".
Danni also smiles at her, and they squeeze each other's hands, and the edges of grief seem to turn just a little softer for them both. Andy can tell that things get just a little easier for them, just a little less grim, because they have each other. And he needs to look away, wants to run, because he and Tom… They could've… In a way, they were...
He feels like he's ready to run again. God, he fucked up so bad. What was he supposed to do now, how could he get better when the one thing in the world that always made him feel better was Tom? He lost him, he's gone, it's over, and somehow it hadn't hit quite the way it did at that moment, looking at that connection, that love that showed through grief. He averts his eyes, feeling wild and cornered, and turns back right in time to almost run into Lily - who looks devastated, and reaches out to touch his arm. Which feels crazy, because Andy is raw, and his whole body is bleeding, and rotting away, and who would touch him-
"I'm so sorry, Andy." She says, and Andy finds himself hugging her tight, and he feels like she should wither, die at his touch, suffocate, but she just hugs him back and pats him and Andy cries on her shoulder, and he's never cried in front of her before, much less like this. But he can't stop, he can't do anything, he's so heavy and dizzy and lost-
And Lily is stronger than they give her credit for, because she holds him, this endless weight that is him, even when he shakes and stains her sweater with tears, like it's nothing. She feels so solid, right then, the only solid thing in the world. She's got him, Andy knows, and it's like finally he ran into something he can take shelter in. He takes a deep breath, then another, and holds on for dear life.
"I'm sorry," is the first thing he says, maybe the only thing he knows how to say right now. Maybe this is how Jane felt, in the end - this endless spectre of regret, bigger than everything, than everyone, encompassing her and drowning her until it ate her whole and left her empty, with only the Power and its evil inside her.
He's so tired, but he's not empty, not yet.
He almost wants to be.
"Don't apologize," Lily says, so sad and sympathetic, and it takes Andy a moment to realize what she's even talking about. "I'm really sorry, I..."
It's only then that Andy's eyes focus enough to see Ava and Lucas standing a little after her, their faces twisted with sadness and bodies frozen in place. At times like this, it really is obvious that Lily is the bravest out of all of them, by far. Andy doesn't think he's ever cried in front of any of them, and Lucas and Ava look- completely lost.
Lucas is the first to talk, out of them both. His voice is very soft. "Andy, if there's anything you need..."
Ava interrupts, words leaving her way too fast. "We'll be staying with you tonight." She blinks for a second, frowning at Lucas. "Sorry, I, uh, hadn't realized you were talking." She looks like she just came out of a daze. She probably had been running that in her head for a while. Lucas puts his hand on her shoulder, and Ava runs a head on her neck, embarrassed.
"It's okay," Andy answers, even though her apology wasn't directed at him. "You don't have to, you know, watch over me or..." He trails off.
"We're not leaving you alone," Ava says, resolute. "You know the others couldn't come, but we all agreed that we should be… You know..."
Andy chokes on something he can't quite feel. He looks down at his feet, and he hasn't felt this small in years. "I… Okay."
Ava reaches out to him, hesitant, and gives him a little pat on the shoulder. Lucas starts rubbing his back soothingly, and, very awkwardly, they gravitate into a group hug. Andy can see the nervousness in Ava's eyes, the worry that she's doing this wrong somehow, like a hug is the most complex thing in the world, and he tries to muster up a little smile of encouragement to her, but he's forgotten how to do that. He doesn't know how to do anything, anymore.
Slowly, they separate, and all three of them still keep some sort of touch with Andy - even Ava, with her hand close to his shoulder - like they're trying to anchor him, but he drifts away anyway, lost in whatever it is that's left of himself.
Vance looks down at him for a moment, as if waiting for a signal, but Andy doesn't know for what, so he waits for Vance to figure it out. Finally, he says, "should we start?"
Andy frowns. "Wasn't there some other guy with you? Pork something?"
Vance, Imogen, and Danni all look at each other, uncertain, surprised, for a moment. It's Imogen who speaks up. "He… He left us."
Ava swallows. "Did he also..."
"No," she says, shaking her head, sadly. "He, uh, deserted the group."
"He what?" Someone asks, shocked, almost outraged, and when Andy sees the looks in everyone's faces, he realizes that it was him.
"He couldn't take it," Vance says, face twisted with sadness. "All the fighting, the monsters… He left."
Andy is shaking. Falling apart. About to explode. "When?"
Vance doesn't look at him. "Right before the final battle."
"He abandoned you when you were going up against the evil ghost?"
"He..." Vance begins, then finds that he has nothing else to say. "Yeah."
"How…" Andy begins, lost for words, and then it happens. He explodes. "How dare he!" He screams. "Tom was counting on him, he trusted him, he needed him, and he just left? He should have been there! He should have been there, he should," Andy looks at his own hands, in shock, watching them tremble and go out of focus, like there are tears blocking his vision, and he feels sick, on the verge of death, and he realizes that he's not talking about that guy at all. "He should have been there!" He slips from his own control, falling to his knees, covering his face, feeling shame, shame, shame, hatred, disgust. "He should… I should… Oh God, I just let him go alone..."
"Andy..." Someone says. Maybe Lucas. Maybe Lily. Maybe the Imogen girl. It sounds so sympathetic. He wants to claw at his own skin and hide.
"I should have been there, I shouldn't… I had experience, what was I thinking..."
"Tom didn't want you to go," someone else says, gently. "I was there when you talked, remember? You didn't abandon him. You said you were going to come, and he told you not to."
"Tom.. Tom is not my damn boss," Andy answers, still covering his face, feeling the tears stop spilling and start to drown him from the inside, and god damn T, the least Tom deserves is for him to be able to cry properly- "I-I should have… gone," he chokes, shaking.
The next one who speaks is Ava. "He wouldn't have wanted you to be at risk, Andy."
"I don't care. I don't care. I'm selfish like that, I'd rather it was me. I could have helped him, I could have saved him, even if I had to- to take his place..."
"Andy..." is all Ava says, sounding shaken, devastated.
"Fuck!" He screams, punching the ground beneath him as if trying to punish the earth for taking Tom. "He would have never left me like that, I could always count on Tom, I could always..." he feels his chest constrict, or maybe burst, with all the tears and horror inside of him, like he's cracking from the inside. "Always..." he can't form the words, can't find the air, and he falls in on himself, more, more, more, closing in, suffocating, "always..." he can't breathe. He can't breathe. He tries to draw it in, to keep himself steady, but every time he tries to bring it in, the air escapes from him again, further, abandoning him, and he wheezes, again, again, closing in further, suffocating, oh God, he's going to die…
"It's a panic attack!" Someone screams, then kneels beside him, putting their hands on his shoulders. "Andy. Andy. Focus on me. You need to breathe. Deep lungfuls. Come on. I'll count to four. Keep breathing in. 1… 2..."
"Can't," he wheezes. It's too strong, like there's something… Something constricting his chest, inside and outside, and then he realizes… "Binder." He sits down straighter, no longer closing in on himself, and that awful vulnerability gets even worse, but it's easier to breathe. He follows the person's counts… 1, 2, 3, 4… Then up to five, then to six, then to seven, then eight… Until finally he doesn't need help, and he opens his eyes and contemplates the absolute mess that he is, and Imogen's kind, relieved face just inches from him.
"Good, Andy, you did well… I have these sometimes, too, I know how scary they are, you were so brave..." Imogen keeps on saying, painfully understanding, and he nods, a bit exhausted to explain. He didn't take his binder off all day, didn't remember… And if he wears it for too long, he's more prone to hyperventilating, especially if he's stressed. Tom knew that. Tom would have known what was going on. Tom… Fuck.
"I'm sorry," he says, to everyone, and no one in particular.
"Don't apologize. We're all glad you're okay," Lily says, and he realizes that, somehow, she had also kneeled beside him and brought him into another hug. He hides his face on her shoulder, shaking his head, trying to breathe. Breathing. She pets his head, a little bit, and he can feel some more touch, too - little pats on his shoulder and back, all gentle, not crowding him, like he's some sort of wild animal they're trying to calm down.
God, what a mess.
He holds Lily tighter, wanting to hide from the world. She lets him, because it's the kind of person Lily is. He feels himself drift away, for a while, but Lily's still petting his head and he can't lose himself completely. He shakes his head, wanting to fight it, almost wanting to get away from Lily, but he can't escape the gentleness in her embrace. He still can't cry, but he feels his eyes water and burn anyway, and he shakes his head against Lily's shoulder. He just wants this to be over. Please, he's so exhausted.
His breaths even, despite himself, but Andy keeps shaking, and he keeps shaking his head slightly against Lily. He wants this to end, it has- has to be a nightmare…
"Shh, Andy, don't hold it in, it's okay," Lily says, slowly, sadly, and Andy shakes his head more vigorously. No. He can't be weak right now, it's only going to make it last longer. He needs to end it, can't be done with this until Tom has gotten his goodbyes.
It's the least Andy owes him, now that there's nothing else he can do.
So, he speaks up.
"We should go on," he says, suddenly feeling resolute. It's easier to do this if he has something to focus on. He needs to see this through the end, for Tom. If he thinks only about that...
"Are you sure?" Vance asks, hesitant.
Andy nods, forcing his vision to focus. "He needs to rest."
----------
Everyone's speeches go by in a blur. Vance talks about how good Tom's heart was, how he was willing to drop everything to go help a bunch of strangers, how everyone could always count on him. He cries, and he says he's sorry, and the girls put their arms around him, tell him that he did his best. Imogen brings up how kind he was, and Danni talks about his strength. They really loved him, Andy notices, and feels his heart settle just a little bit. He was loved till the end. Of course he was.
Lucas talks about how supportive Tom was, how he was always uplifting everyone around him and would let Lucas babble on about conservation for hours. Lily brings up how much he believed in her and supported her when she was making her videogames. Ava says that Tom was the only one who ever saw her looking up Westchester's history and cults and just… Sat down with her and helped, understanding that she needed this to feel safe, to feel ready, and sharing that burden of getting ready for a disgrace, just a little bit. Andy never knew that Tom had been joining Ava for research. He could've helped with that, too. He could have done a lot of things, if he had paid more attention.
He's left for last, and a part of him wants to be a coward, to stay silent, but that was never his style.
"When Tom had turned into a zombie," he begins, "Redfi- Jane made him hurt me. And I wasn't worried for myself. I was worried for him. I wanted him back, no matter what it took, no matter what happened to me," he begins, not looking at anyone in particular, because he knows most of them already know this story, but he's not going to- he's not going to deny Tom the chance to know how he felt about him, before he rests. It's the least Andy owes him.
So, he takes a deep breath and goes on, pushing himself into saying something that matters.
"Then our friends showed up, and they said that Tom was still there. That I had to reach out to him. So I tried. I talked to him about our childhood. About how much he had been supporting me… How he was my best friend. He was hesitant, but so… Scared. I didn't know what to do. Tom and I always got each other..." He loses himself a little, shaking his head, purging the thoughts that were keeping him from going on, "And then someone said, 'Andy's hurt. H-he needs help'." He loses focus for a second, and that can't happen. He takes a breath, tries to make himself talk. "And just like that… Tom came back.
"He extended his hand to me, and helped me to my feet, and suddenly there was color in his face again, and for a second he wasn't even confused as to what the hell was going on, he just wanted to make sure I was okay. He came back because I needed him. Because he couldn't bear to hurt me. He was always there for me, and I… I don't think I ever needed him more than right now."
He stops a minute, to look at the faces surrounding him. There's a grief in them that looks almost like… Pity.
And Andy isn't even mad about it. He feels pitiful.
"I'm not the best guy with words," he admits, "so I don't know how to express how much this meant to me, or how much Tom meant to me. No one understood me like him. Tom is… Was… No, is a part of me. Maybe the best part of me, because I loved him more than anything else about myself. I'll miss him for the rest of my life." He looks down at Tom's grave, carved out of anything else to say. "I love you, buddy."
It's not the greatest speech that's ever been given, but it's what he can say, and at least he's done it. He'll be able to do better, later. He'll come back to talk to him again. As many times as he can, for as long as he can. He swears on that.
Andy steps back from the grave, and doesn't look as they slowly fill it, covering the closed casket with dirt. He finally allows himself to let the exhaustion catch up with him, and is overcome by that blissful, blissful emptiness.
---------
He's fully expecting himself to drop asleep as soon as they get to Ava's place. They decided to stay there for the night, because Andy still doesn't want to face his mom, to see that same grief in her, for her to want to talk to him, to tell him that everything would be fine. He can't do that, not today. At least Lucas had enough foresight to warn her of where they are, so she should leave him alone for now. Lucas is very reliable in a crisis, Andy thinks, making a note to himself to thank him properly later.
But he can't sleep. He's too exhausted to even rest. And for some reason, even though he doesn't want to talk, that's exactly what he found himself doing for the past few hours. Vomiting up all sorts of memories and thoughts, ranging from funny moments he had with Tom to all of his regrets, and Andy's always been kind of a stress-talker, but it's never been like this. He feels like he's been skinned alive; there's nothing to hold himself together, to hold anything at all in.
He cries all the tears he didn't think he had left in him anymore, and he curses himself, and the guy who left them in the end, and Noah, and the Power, and the cult, and himself again. He scratches his own skin until Lucas gently takes his hands in his, stopping him from doing more of it. And he talks, through all of that. Talks and talks and talks.
The words make him drift through memories, through states of mind, and he knows he's so damn volatile today, it's like he can't anchor himself to a feeling, but his friends put up with him anyway.
Finally, he starts to settle into this sort of… Slowness, like his mind is clear, or maybe blank, even as he keeps on thinking. And he keeps talking through it, letting all the minor regrets have their turn after he's too damn done to keep dealing with the worst parts.
"I never told him I was in love with him," Andy says, staring at the three empty mattresses in front of him, because it's easier than looking at any of his friends, who are currently sitting right beside him, as he babbles on. "I was going to, you know? After R- Jane. I had almost died, so I figured, you know- yolo, and all that. And then I told myself, 'I'll wait until I'm out of the hospital.' And then I started to think… What if he didn't feel the same way? What if things got weird? What if I end up losing him? And I never told him," he looks at his own feet, "and now I lost him anyway."
They all just look at him. They used up all the "I'm sorry, Andy"s left in them a long time ago, he thinks. There's only so many platitudes you can muster up when you know they're worthless, when you're just repeating yourself.
God bless them for trying, though. They're sticking with him through their own- everyone's inadequacy to deal with what's going on. Andy can't thank them enough for that.
"He knew you loved him," Ava says, serious, and Andy frowns at her, doubtful. "He might not have known you were in love with him, but… He knew how much he meant to you. I'm sure of it."
Andy laughs, humorless, "did you finally get those mind reading powers you wanted?" he says. It falls flat, but they pretend it doesn't, for his sake.
Ava rolls her eyes. "Don't be an ass, Kang," she says. "No. I just… I can tell. Anyone can."
Andy bites his lip, looking away.
She presses on, as gently as she can. "Besides, you also know, don't you? Regardless of anything else… Tom loved you, just as much as you loved him."
"I still love him," Andy says, before he can think about it, and a weird kind of shame creeps up on him - for saying it, for not saying it sooner, for realizing that this… It'll probably never go away, even now that it's completely pointless, that it's just proof of his cowardice.
"That's… Normal," Lily says, fiddling a little with her sweater. "You don't forget someone just like that, just because something happened. I mean, look at me and Britney. It took me years to get over her, and even then, I had to have supernatural forces show me exactly who she was, first."
"She didn't deserve you," Ava says.
"Maybe not. It doesn't matter now," Lily says. "The point is… It's okay to still love him."
Andy hugs his knees. "I don't think anything is okay, right now."
"That's okay, too."
They stay in silence for a moment, and then Lucas speaks up. "I know 'it gets better' stories don't really help at times like these," he says, "so I won't tell you that, but… I know what it's like, to feel like nothing will ever be okay, ever be enough. So… At least you're not alone, in that feeling."
Andy's mouth does something. It's not a smile, but it's what it can do right now. "Yeah. At least it's not like last time," he says. "With Jane. We all fell apart, and… It felt really lonely, even though..." He chokes up. "I had Tom."
Lucas rubs at Andy's shoulder sadly, and Andy shakes his head.
"It's just that he didn't get it, you know? And I couldn't tell him, about what happened," he says, instead of thinking about how much worse this is, no matter how many friends he has by his side right now. "So I… Missed you guys." He finishes, ashamed.
"We get it," Ava says, solemn. "And we're sticking with you, this time around."
"Yeah," Lucas agrees.
"Yeah," Lily adds.
"Okay," Andy answers. "I… Thanks."
They hug him tighter. It's all they have to say.

This is exactly what I was thinking too, I think if they'd met under other circumstances they'd be friends right off the bat but probs butt heads on occasion being quite similar in personality and outlook. I think they would also just laugh hysterically together at jokes nobody else gets and everyone else is like what's so funny?
But Tom is the white elephant in the room that would cause problems st first. Basically Vivien would occupy the stepmother role even if she doesn't really enforce it except by babying Matt and I think Grace would maybe have issues dealing with that? Because of the memories of her mother and Imogen is only in her twenties too, so they'd have to work that out? Also the issue of Vivien being an alien... and just Grace protecting her father and family. I think though once they got past these hurdles, Grace and Vivien would be firm friends who both fight for their family together. Vivien would greatly respect Grace for leading and holding the Masons together. I think she would come to rely heavily on Grace too.
😍 I love this and I 100% agree. I can totally see it playing out like that. I love the idea of them laughing hysterically at jokes no one else gets. I agree that with Vivien's hybrid nature it would take Grace a little while to let her guard down, but I also think this would be interesting to see how she then reacts to Lexi later down the line, with her also being part alien. Maybe she would be less suspicious/wary of her because of her relationship with Vivien.

Various Actors x Fem Reader- “In My House”
Imagine if 2020 was a year when we didn't have the Corona Virus and social distancing.
Because if it didn't have that virus, then this music video would be released...
You're a popular singer who released a new song and music video one day before Thanksgiving 2020.
This song was for the soundtrack for a movie set in the 1960′s, 1966 to be exact.
Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's "WAP" is easily the biggest #1 song of 2020, but your new single and music video released one day before Thanksgiving might make people forget all about "WAP".
The video might go even more viral than "WAP", you'll find out why.
In the video, as the music starts to play, it starts off with you walking down a hallway dressed in a short, silky black bathrobe.
In the hallway, Timothee Chalamet is standing by one of the doors in the hallway, leaning his back on the wall, dressed in a silky suit and his hair flouncy, looking the way he looked when he appeared on Ellen DeGeneres' talk show at the end of 2017 with Armie Hammer.
This is your (or rather, my) favorite Timothee.
You slowly sauntered up to Timothee to the beat of your song, trying to look as sexy and seductive as possible to him.
The camera shot to Timothee, smirking at you trying to seduce him.
Before the words you sang in this song began, you stopped when you were standing right in front of Timothee, putting your hands on his face.
When the words to the song you sang began, you lipsynched to this song, your face so close to his.
Timothee arched his head back and closed his eyes while you were leaning your face and your body close to him.
Your lips were in front of his lips, your breath touching below his face.
Your lips were nudging into his lips while you lipsynched this song, your lips fumbling and muttering in between his lips.
Sometimes your lips buried and nudged into his slender neck, whereas his hands were on your bathrobe, looking like he wants to shed your bathrobe off.
One of your hands slid from his face to behind his head, where your fingers laced and buried themselves through his tousled hair.
You couldn't resist running your fingers through his hair.
Your other hand, however, was caressing up and down the bare part of his chest not covered by a dress shirt.
After the camera blurred out the image of you and Timothee making out, the camera then cut to Julian Sands looking the way he did in "Yeh Ballet" and "The Painted Bird", dressed in a long sleeve white button down shirt and slacks being held up by suspenders, one of his legs sprawled out across the couch while he holds a scotch glass.
Even though Julian is nowhere near as hot as he used to be, like in "Boxing Helena", "Husbands and Lovers", "Impromptu" and "Warlock II", he's still pretty sexy, especially when his hair is long.
Emilia Clarke is curled up right next to him, smiling and kissing him on the side of his neck and face, her hair her signature chestnut brown, whereas a blond Wendy James from Transvision Vamp circa 1989 is standing behind him and the couch, her arm running down his chest.
The camera then cut to you completely naked, sitting behind a chair with your legs wide open, albeit the chair was concealing and covering your nudity, not showing your breasts and vagina.
You were sitting in that chair Christine Keeler style, this image was meant to replicate that iconic image of Christine.
Sitting in front of you on the floor was Sebastian Stan, looking the way he did when he was interviewed sitting next to Sharon Stone, my favorite Sebastian.
He was smirking and smiling at you while you naughtily grinned at him, your elbows propped across the top of the chair.
When you started "singing" again, after the first 2 verses and sentences, you leaned down into your chair until you were lying on the floor and the chair fell down with it, your arms and elbows censoring your nipples from being shown, your hands on the carpeted floor.
You were lying on the floor in between Sebastian's legs and thighs, and not just that, but crawling behind you was Timothee Chalamet, who cupped and covered your breasts, his palms and hands concealing your nipples.
Tom Hiddleston was sitting on the floor next to the chair you previously were sitting in, Tom looked the way he did in "Return of Cranford".
You lifted one of your hands off of the carpet and placed it behind Sebastian's head, your fingers laced and buried through his hair, your eyes looking up at him.
You leaned your face close to Sebastian's face, your lips nudging into his lips, which then cut to you and Sebastian kissing each other, your eyes as well as his eyes closed.
The video then cut to Sebastian smothering his lips on your front neck, whereas Timothee was nudging his lips on the back of your neck, moving your hair behind your neck out of the way.
Tom crawled over to you and leaned himself into you, pressing and smothering his lips on the right side of your neck.
You were leaning your head back, resting it on Timothee's shoulder, as Sebastian was burying his face into your neck.
While this was going on, was sitting in a leather armchair, Michael Fassbender was watching what was going on with you, Seb, Timothee, and Tom, wanting to join in.
Michael looked the way he did in "Steve Jobs" when he had brown hair and wore that long sleeved white button down shirt.
As the instrumental music was playing, the video cut to various parts of the room, filming JJ Field with short hair while Ksenia Solo and Imogen Poots are surrounding him, trying to shed him out of his clothes.
Imogen and Ksenia have the ends of their hair swept up and have their hair in thick bangs, looking 1960's.
When the 3rd verse of the song began playing, you were lying on the carpet naked with your arms up, whereas Henry Cavill was hovering over you, straddling your lap, he was dressed in a white button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up to the elbows and a pair of slacks held up by suspenders.
His hair was cut short and he looked the way he did on Sherlock Holmes.
This isn't my favorite Henry, I prefer him as Geralt of Rivia, but this is meant to be a music video set in the 1960's, 1966 to be exact.
He was holding a 60's Polaroid camera in front of you, this moment was meant to be a recreation of an image from the 1960's of David Hemmings, a photographer, hovering over Verushka, a German supermodel in the 60's lying down.
When you laid naked on the floor, the camera filming this as well as Henry were trying to conceal and cover up your nudity, not show your bare naked breasts.
The camera then cut to you lying naked on the floor, although it filmed you from above your tits so your bare breasts won't be shown.
You actually put your index finger in your mouth in an attempt to look sexy.
You rose up from the carpeted floor, where Henry leaned himself back a bit.
When you rose up from the carpeted floor, you put your hands on both of his shoulders, your arms cleverly concealing his nudity.
You proceeded to sexily and slowly crawl closer to Henry, making him lounge on his elbows while he lays on the carpet and put the Polaroid camera down.
When Henry was lying on the carpet now, you were lying on top of him, his lips were smothering the side of your face.
Your hands were gripping and grasping onto his suit.
This moment where you lie on top of Henry while he kisses the side of your face was modeled after Madonna in the "Justify My Love" music video.
This music video and song was modeled after Madonna's "Justify My Love" song and music video, minus the crossdressing and lesbianism.
When the chorus played again, the video jumped to Wes Bentley sitting on a couch, you were straddling his lap completely naked, your breasts pressed against his chest to not show any nipples.
Plus, the video was filming you on your side so it won't show your buttcrack.
Wes looked the way he looked in "American Horror Story", minus having someone's face behind his head and top hat.
This is my personal favorite Wes.
His button down shirt was buttoned all the way down, your hands slid on his bare chest.
One of your hands slid from his chest to behind his head, where you let your fingers run through his hair.
Wes had one of his arms wrapped behind you, pulling you into him, where he buried his face into your neck, kissing your neck.
Your head leaned back and your face was in an orgasmic state.
Now you see why this video will blow up even more than "WAP" and make people forget about that song/video?
This video is every woman's sexual fantasy: it's got Tom Hiddleston, Sebastian Stan, Timothee Chalamet and Henry Cavill, men who've all blown up in popularity because of their looks and sex appeal and have fangirls obsessed with them.
Just look at how popular of a show "The Witcher" is.
Though, those fangirls will want to ring your neck and send you death threats after this video because they're jealous of you.

Rewatching Eve of the Daleks because I love it so much, especially this moment:

Sarah glances at her phone and out of screen, Thirteen asks, just a shade annoyed: "Er, where were you?"

Thirteen moves towards her opening her arms wide with a very annoyed expression. Her lips are a thin line.

Well, realistically, if we’re discussing both ILitW and ILB at the same time, it’s worth mentioning that seeing as ILB takes place in 2020, the most they’d be able to do is a Zoom call in costumes, but let’s disregard the shitfest that is the real 2020 and pretend everything’s great in the IL universe and everyone’s alive and this is after the gangs have met and they hang out, maybe you can pretend it’s 2021 if you’d rather it happens with more distance from the series’ events. Either way, we’re looking at a weekend Halloween, so everyone gets their college assignments out of the way and/or makes sure they have the day off from work that day and they make the drive to meet up. Maybe they all pitch in to throw a party for themselves at someone’s place, or maybe even Imogen’s yacht if she still hasn’t sold it, but mainly they just want to make the most of one of the opportunities to hang out all together in person that are harder to come by with everyone leading busy lives. As for costumes:
Ava: I think something very on-brand, like a vampire, witch, or something morbid to freak the others out, but I also see her dressing up as Wednesday Addams and telling people she’s dressed as a homocidal maniac (they look just like everyone else)
Stacy: Something pretty basic, to be honest. Maybe she’d go as a VSCO girl or SC filter something, but everyone would jokingly pretend they didn’t realize she was wearing a costume
Lily: If she’s with Britney, then she’ll be whatever Britney decides for the both of them, but I really like the idea of Lily dressing up as one of her ocs that later makes it into her video games
Noah: We’re talking about a guy who went to homecoming in denim, so if anyone could get him to put even the slightest bit of effort into a look, he’d go for the plainest stuff ever, like one of those “Error 404: Costume not found” shirts. Alternatively, if you remember that episode of The Office in which Jim was too lazy to do a proper costume so he just wore a name tag that said “Dave”, that’s something Noah would also do
Lucas: He finally gives in after everyone pesters him to dress up as Clark Kent, and he absolutely rocks the look
Connor: Kurt Kobain. I don’t have an explanation for this one, I just feel it in my heart
Dan: I thought of him and ILitW MC redoing their matching Captain Incredible costumes and posting the pics with the ones their parents took when they were kids with some throwback or glow up caption and let me tell you that that thought now lives in my head rent-free
Andy: He’d do a pop culture costume if he’s doing it with another person or with a group, but solo, he’d go for a more classic approach, so looks like pirate or other traditional Halloween themes are something you might see him in
Tom: I feel like he’d be the type to be really into pop culture costumes, and I can see him doing a Transformers-themed one because he canonically loves those movies so much that they influenced his whole career path, so they can for sure influence a costume
Imogen: She does costumes with aesthetic vibes, so I can see her dressed as an angel in a pretty gown or a mermaid with colorful accessories and with some epic makeup skills she’s got the whole ethereal look down
Danni: Dresses up as Parker and proceeds to roast him all day by doing impressions of him… they’re weirdly accurate
Parker: A ghostbuster, solely because he’s never worn anything that wasn’t beige and he’s not about to start now. He mainly just dresses up to hand out candy to trick-or-treaters, anyway
ILB MC: To a party, they’ll wear something that goes with their vibe, but to watch movies at home with Elliot, they’ll both do meme costumes because they’re easy to do and they have a lot of fun with them
So this was actually really fun to think about, and I hope you have a great day too! In fact, I hope you had a great day every day it took me to answer this ask and an especially awesome Halloween :)

Chapter 1: good dog
"Fuck me, Thor."
Y/n always thought that almost every time she entertained herself in bed. As an Aussie, Y/n had grown up on Chris Hemsworth, following him all the way from Home and Away. It was quite by accident, really, since her last foster mother was very much into soap operas.
As much as Y/n loved Thor Hemsworth, today's exclamation was a curse since she was sopping wet from the rain. Thankfully, she'd just made it into work, safe from the downpour.
"Told you to take a brolly!" Her coworker/roommate teased as she peeled off her coat.
In Australia, January was one of the hottest months of the year. In SoHo London, in the opposite part of the world, it was the wettest.
"Mhm, yeah. Thanks for that obvious tip!" Y/n shlepped into the back room and switched into her work clothes, after she barely managed to clock in on time.
"Any tips today?" Y/n asked Troy as she joined him behind the counter. She was referring to the tip jar she kept, hoping to collect money for her favorite charity.
Troy peaked a look from the window.
"Not many people," he answered as thunder broke.
"You mind if I bring my schoolwork out?"
Troy's family- well, his older sister- ran the coffee shop in SoHo: Beans and Books. Trish and her friends had combined their love of coffee and books to make a little café/bookstore, popular among the youth.
Y/n had been lucky to find a flatspace that Tony was renting, and was soon given a job at the café. Most of her transfer student funds went into tuition, books and rent, so working gave her some spending money.
"Nah, you should be good. Just look attentive if anyone comes in."
Y/n brought her work up to the counter, and was able to get plenty reading done since not many customers came. Troy took most orders from anyone who had come. But 5pm came around, marking the end of the work day. On drier days, it meant rush hour, but on an overcast day like today, they didn't expect many people. It picked up close to 6, and Y/n had to put her schoolwork away to focus on the customers.
A group of school students had left a covered table, with left over pastries still on the plates. Thankfully, they left a decent tip. Y/n was just taking away the last of the plates when something ran through her legs, making her drop the dishes.
Immediately the dog began lapping at the fallen pastries.
"Bad Bobby! Stop that!" The dog's human tugged on his leash, pulling him away from the mess he'd created.
"I'm so terribly sorry," the man leaned down to help Y/n clean up his dog's mess. "Bobby really wanted out from the rain."
"Oh, it's no big deal!" Y/n smiled at the capped man. "I just don't want him eating broken china, otherwise he's welcome to the pastries."
The man sheepishly chuckled and deposited the shards into the bin.
"Sorry for that, again. Perhaps I can buy some for him."
"That makes sense. The window's over there. I'll just be around."
Y/n showed him to the display as she went to put away the bin. Then she helped him pick some pastries and he ordered himself a coffee. The man went over to the checkout, and was looking around for his dog when he noticed the many bookshelves.
"Is that Cymbeline?" He asked, nodding to the shelf with the rest of Shakespeare.
"It's Shakespeare, isn't it? The owner likes to have all the books by any author, if she can help it."
"It's only, Cymbeline isn't as popular as the rest of his work."
"A shame, really. I quite liked the unfortunate story of Imogen and Posthumus. I don't know what's worse, dying like Romeo and Juliet, or having your lover not trust you."
The customer laughed gently at her woe as he paid for his things.
"I played in Cymbeline once. In a West End production."
"Must've been fun!"
"It was! Do you mind if I sit and read a while?" He looked out the window. "I don't think Bobby has a mind to leave."
"Not a problem! Help yourself."
The man thanked Y/n and went to get a book before he sat. Then he gave one pastry to his spaniel as he enjoyed another himself.
It was quiet in the shop for a while, only two customers in the thirty minutes. And then Troy came back from break.
"Bloody hell!" He screamed as he came in from the back door.
"Hey, Y/n! Do you think Thor might give it up if you blew him?"
Y/n immediately looked at the customer, who was looking at her with an amused brow.
"Y'know. Works for the both of you!"
Y/n slapped Troy's arm hard as he approached the counter. She eyed the customer and Troy instantly grew up, apologizing for his comment.
"Unfortunately, Chris Hemsworth is very married. With three kids!"
The guest laughed, unable to miss the loud reject in the small space.
"I'm going to stop talking now." Y/n blushed and focused on a chore around the café.
"Did you know, his wife's the Latina girl in the Fast and Furious movies? The one with Hobbs, not Letty."
"Oh, yeah! Man, I love those movies. No regard for physics."
"Still sad about Paul Walker, though."
"Yeah. I saw his movie, Hours. Kind of a flop, but it was cute!"
Y/n and Troy talked about the Fast movies for a while, then Troy went to do inventory for the next day. Y/n meanwhile, took a refill to her customer.
"So, you really fancy Hemsworth, do you?"
"Only since Home and Away. Soapy, I know. But that's mostly what they played at the foster home."
The man grew curious. "You're a foster child?"
Y/n and the man talked about her past, which part of Australia she was from, and how she came to London. She was studying journalism at Kingsway College, hoping to travel the world. Their conversation was interrupted by a loud crack of thunder, and Bobby jumped up from his spot, tangling his leash through y/n's leg as he went to his owner. The man picked up the pup while Y/n worked on releasing the leash.
She handed the man the leash back, and he offered to let her pet him, which she took him up for. Thunder roared again.
"O, that my tongue were in the thunder's mouth! Then with a passion would I shake the world.
"And rouse from sleep that fell anatomy, which cannot hear a lady's feeble voice, which scorns a modern invocation."
Y/n smiled as the man joined in finishing the quote from King John. They stayed staring at each other until Bobby whined.
"I should get back to work."
"Thanks for the coffee, y/n."
"Any time...um?"
"Ehehe. It's Tom."
Y/n smiled.
"Tom."
Y/n started walking back to the counter, but stopped in her track.
"Odin's beard! That would be Chris and Tom?" She asked, without turning to look at him.
"Eheh. Guilty," Tom replied sheepishly.
Y/n bit her lip. Damn!
"And I call myself a Thor fan!" She finally turned around, cheeks red.
"I've never missed a Marvel movie, and here I've missed you!" She whispered as she sat back down on the edge of her seat.
"Well, I don't look quite Loki like at the moment."
"So rumor confirmed! You really do like your classics."
"Well I should hope so. I majored in classics at Cambridge."
Y/n wanted to know more, but customers came in and she left Tom. Troy came out too, to help with the rush as the rain had stopped. The song on the store playlist changed and Troy began loudly singing along.
"That's what people say, mm mm!"
God, Troy loved his pop songs. Y/n happened to look up at the moment to see Tom having a sip of his drink.
Damn! That was Tom Hiddleston, she suddenly remembered. And Troy was blasting Taylor Swift. Y/n stomped on Troy's foot, making him stop singing.
"Ow! What the hell?" Troy cried at her.
"Change. The song." Y/n gritted at him.
"But it's T-"
Y/n grabbed Troy's shoulder and shoved him below the counter.
"Yes. And that's Tom Hiddleston out there!"
Troy instantly lifted his head to take a peak, but Y/n name yanked him down. Troy took the chance to change the song.
"Don't draw attention to him!"
"Sorry! Can you believe it? A famous person at our café?!"
"Yeah!"
"I gotta call Trish!" and Troy ran off to call his sister.
By the time he was back, Tom was ready to leave.
"Mind if I buy a box to go?" He asked, as if it were trouble.
"Not at all! Let me get you one." Y/n got a box and filled it with Tom's choice of pastries before ringing him up.
"I'm sorry about Troy," she said quietly. "He's a die hard fan of Taylor Swift."
"It's no issue. He's got good taste in music. I wouldn't stop reading Shakespeare just because he dumped me!"
Y/n smiled an apologetic smile.
"I hope you come again!"
"I hope to see you again as well. Good night, Y/n."
Tom began to leave, but Troy yelled.
"WAIT!"
Tom stopped by the door, feeling everyone's eyes on him. He pulled down his cap and sighed.
"Sorry, you forgot to sign the receipt."
Tom turned and walked back to the counter.
"Troy, I take it?" he asked as he took the offered pen.
"That's me, but if you could make it out to Trish, my sister."
Tom smiled and autographed the napkin to both of them. He turned to leave, but then walked to Y/n.
"I'm going to see a play at the West End this Saturday," he told her. "Would you care to join me?"
Y/n turned pink at the question and shared a look with Troy.
"I could pick you up from here."
"Y-yeah! She should be off!" Troy spoke for her.
"If...if it's not too much trouble."
"I think I can manage. I'll pick you up at around 5-ish?"
"I look forward to it!"
"Excellent. I'll see you then. Good bye, Y/n. Goodbye, Troy."
"Bye Tom! Bye Bobby!"
As Tom walked out the front door, Troy's sister came running in through the back one.
"Where is he?'
"Where's who?" Troy teased his sister.
"Tom Hiddleston, THAT'S WHO!" Trish growled at him.
"Oh, you just missed him a second ago."
Trish stood staring at the front door.
"Can you believe it? Tom freaking Hiddleston. In my café! How lucky am I!!"
"Not as much as Y/n. She's got a date!"
