Your thoughts on the first episode of HOTD?

I really enjoyed it. As a GOT fan, I really had cut ties with anything related to GOT but then I heard House Targaryen and I was intrigued and then I realized that D&D would not be welcomed back … I was like, oh? Then the trailers came out and I said, SAY LESS.

House Targaryen is and will always be superior. Seeing their banners all over King’s Landing, the dragon pit, the statues, and the altar for Balerion did make me a bit sad. Made me think this is what we could have had if GOTS8 went into a different direction. Daenerys and Jon ruling the Seven Kingdoms and restoring House Targaryen … *que adele* we could have had it all. 

For people who don’t watch or read George’s interviews … they should. I’m obsessed with watching reaction videos and I’ve watched like a million already for this first episode and one of the things that I’ve noticed almost everyone is that, they have this mindset of who is the hero and who is the bad guy. 

These characters are complex. You’re either going to love them, like them, or fucking hate them. 

Some could argue that some characters are good and they might be in certain definitions but they all have a goal – the Iron Throne and already in the first episode; it’s picked up that. I think a lot of fans are still in the mindset of the GOT show. It’s like, no. You have to remove yourself from that because you might be team blacks vs. greens but you’re going to find fault in every character bc they all do SHITTY and TERRIBLE things.

Also, Daemon’s dragon helmet. Ugh. IN LOVE. 

Despite that, it was sooooooo cool to see dragons again. Seeing fan arts for years and then finally seeing them on screen … no better feeling. I’m looking forward to seeing more dragons, especially one of my favorites, Vhagar bc she IS the Queen Dragon. 

As much as the show-writers have said that this is different from the show GOT it still has its similarities and it reminds you with its graphic violence and nudity. Aemma’s birthing scene was horrible and horrific but I do like how they tied it with the tourney. “The birthing bed is our battlefield” and it’s true. But two graphic scenes of just violence makes you feel like you’re watching the old GOT, plus, the nudity. 

I’m glad that they brought back Ramin Djawadi to do the score. The fact that he uses Daenerys’s theme but changes it a bit still gives me goosebumps. 

I also like the jabs the show made towards D&D and how wrong they got things or the direction they took GOT. This show, even though it’s been one episode, feels like what GOT should feel. The vibe/theme George had written. I feel like HOTD is his show. Though, I’m sure he’s still disappointed that the throne doesn’t look exactly how he wrote it – it looks so much cooler. The fact that we’re seeing it injure King Viserys, showing him an unworthy ruler; before Robert welding it down to make it easier to sit on; another unworthy gesture. 

I enjoyed the episode a lot and I am looking forward to the rest of the season, especially Emma’s portrayal as adult Rhaenyra!

He, at the time, is far more obsessed with the past than caring about the present where he's just this scrawny twig of a man who's barely managing to keep himself on two feet. The spider bites on his leg are IMMENSE and he even has scaring on his arm from his encounter with the Warden. As well as that facial scarring from improper use of magic

he is a CAVE RAT and i love him deeply. most ppl make Herobrine some paranormal entity thing which can be really cool!!! but i really did say hey what if i just made him some weird fucking guy. This is going to take me a while.

My first impression of Frieda were questions: "What kind of a person could have raise up Manfred von Karma for him to turn out the way he did? What was her fundamental flaw that they ingrained a trauma of perfectionism into two generations?" (arguably you could cay three generations; Manfred fathered Franziska fairly late) I knew what she needed to be for the story/family tree to make sense, but I also had to figure out how to make it make sense as a self-contained person.

I think that I first began really hating her when I got the idea that she corrected her children's (and their progeny's) grip on writing utensils and cutlery. (As a kid I had always loathed that and it more cemented in me to hold the pens and pencils wrong.) It was fairly late at night and some alcohol might have been involved, so the idea of that crossbred with the idea of "slapping ruler/twig over fingers as corporeal punishment" and it came out as breaking fingers, mostly on accident. Damage to fingers had always creeped the fuck out of me. So... since then I really do not like Frieda. At all. No going back.

Sorry, besides the Ride of the Valkyries I really haven't got anything right now. I'll get to this question at a later date.

Hats. Specifically fascinaters. Second is the "First Republic era" (1918-1938) of Czechoslovakia. She is a girl of that era.

Did a lot of those child drawings. Her father never put a single one on display. So she was dedicated to "get better" until her drawings would be "good enough" to make it on the fridge or something the like. That was probably when all the shit began spiraling down...

Living with Bernard had consequences and those consequences were Frieda's strange understanding of electronic and electricity. She owned a literal lightning in a bottle, until one day the fuse-box blew out, at which point 70-something old Frieda von Karma put on rubber gloves (for insulation), grabbed the lightning from the bottle, taped it into said fuse box and ever since then the electricity in the house behaves perfectly. Somehow.

She did actually eventually come to love Bernard. She found out a tad too late, though.

Probably fussed over her appearance too much. She had to look "perfect". I suppose a lot of anti-aging cream was involved in her routine.

I... I don't think I have to answer that one, do I? I mean... Take Manfred von Karma's parenting, take away all the honey (and pancakes) from it, then crank it up to eleven.

Seriously, Frieda's fascinaters are an important part of her characteristics for me, because it was the only thing of her she allowed to be expressive. Her demeanor was always poker-face stoic, her paintings were strictly realistic (unless she decided to do a different style, and even so it was a very realistic take). So her fascinaters were a way of communicating to her surroundings how she felt and what was she going through. She would swap them through the day if her mood changed.

hello! this is a question ab anakin. was killing palpatine THE moment he finally fulfilled the chosen one prophecy? bc vader never seemed to be the type to want to become emperor. he wanted to save padme to keep her and that failed. i feel like he was only greedy to defy death for padme and not really to kill palps and become the most powerful ruler of the galaxy. so how did he manage to let go of the dark side through luke and why was luke the one who made that possible? was letting go of his fears and anger the thing that made it possible for him to rise back into the light?

Hi! I don't think Anakin wanted power in the sense of wanting to become the Emperor, per se. He does say that he can overthrow Palpatine in Revenge of the Sith, but I think it's more about "we can make things the way we want them to be!", that Anakin wants to force the rest of the galaxy to live by his rules, rather than that he specifically wants power over other people directly. Primarily, he wants power because he wants to be able to force the people he loves to stay with him, he wants to keep death from happening, he wants to be strong enough that nobody that he loves will ever die again, because he's afraid to face those feelings, because he's unable to let go even when death happens. ("You can love people, but you can’t want to possess them. They’re not yours. Accept that they have a fate. Even those you love most are going to die. You can’t do anything about that. Protect them with your lightsaber, but if they die they were going to die, there’s nothing you can do. All you can do is accept that fact." --George Lucas, Star Wars Archives 1999-2005) Anakin fulfilling his destiny isn't about taking over for Palpatine, it's about ending the horror of the Sith. And it's his compassion for Luke, that he finally stops saying, "I want this person to live, because I am afraid to live without them, because I want to possess them" and instead says, "Regardless of what happens to me, I care about this person, and I want them to be happy." He finally lets go of his attachments and saves Luke with selfless love, it's not about himself at all, it's about what's best for Luke. Not what Anakin wants for him. With Padme, "Just help me save Padme's life. I can't live without her.", that's not about her, that's about Anakin and his feelings for her. What started as a sweet and cute relationship grew into an obsessive and possessive one that Anakin was unbalanced by. "I've got to save you!" "You already have, Luke." and he lets Luke go, to live a life without Anakin because nothing can stop him from dying now and he's accepted that. He doesn't cling to Luke, he doesn't try to hold on even against the impossible to change way of life and death. What started as an obsessive and possessive relationship grew into one that Anakin was finally able to let go of, to find balance in. Precisely why he's able to do this with Luke is probably a mix of things--Anakin has had 24 years of being miserable and without anyone who truly loved him, he's been a walking black hole of depression that entire time, maybe he's finally ready to actually die, maybe it's because children are different than peers and spouses, maybe it's because Luke never knew him as Anakin Skywalker, so he didn't look at him and see the betrayal of the good man he once was in anything more than a vague abstract, instead of someone who intimately knew him and Anakin would never be able to look at them without seeing them knowing what he'd done. Anakin was able to rejoin the light because finally he let go of all that hate and rage he'd been carrying around his entire life, because he was able to be purely selfless when he sacrificed himself for Luke, it wasn't about wanting to die, so much as not caring if he did or not, because Luke was the only thing that mattered to him, that Luke live and go about his life, regardless of whether or not Anakin was a part of it. The prophecy was for him to end the Sith, but it was his own personal victory that let him rejoin the light, because letting go of all of that is hard and he did a monumental thing and Anakin Skywalker was incredible and I love him forever and thanks now I'm feelings all over again.

What IF do u recommend? 👀

ALRIGHT so since i keep falling on new if games and have a lot on my to read list I will make a second part of this list ozijfazorgj. But for now here are some of the IF games i highly recommend!

The Wayhaven Chronicles : First I'm starting with the obvious (that I've already recommended before i know shut up) Wayhaven Chronicles! After a strange murder in the usually tranquil town of Wayhaven, the newly appointed detective (aka the MC aka you) is gonna have to work with 4 beautiful vampires to "solve" this mystery. It currently has two books with a complete demo of the third book available. Honestly if you have followed my blog recently you saw me scream about this game cos I am obsessed and seriously i really recommend it, even if vampires aren't usually your thing.

Fallen Hero Rebirth : Oh boy, Fallen Hero, literally everything is in the title, and not at the same time. Basically you play as a former hero who's decided to become a villain for reasons i will absolutely not spoil bc it would be criminal. But know that this story is glorious, you can choose what kind of villain you would be (from an anarchist/anti hero type to a full blown heartless villain, everything is possible) and choose how your villain costume looks like. And of course you have different love interests all of them super interesting (tho i am very soft for Ortega, the Doctor and Argent but mostly the Doctor got me like 🥺🥺🥺 ). It currently has one book out with the second book demo almost all out called : "Fallen Hero Retribution".

Mindblind : Alright this, made me cry. Like actual tears came out of my eyes and i hate it ezokrafoprkg. In a world where the majority of people either have telepathy and other mental superpowers OR at least enough mind defense to not be too affected by those mental superpowers, your MC is the only "Zero" who's mind is basically an open book and a possible puppet for anyone with mental superpowers. Sucks even more when the MC family are basically renowned superheroes. For now only the demo is out and honestly i can't wait for the full book because this story has me hooked!

Speaker : Once again, a supernatural story because i can never get tired of them okay??? This time you can play as "a Speaker". Born from a generation of Seers, you went to the world a few seconds after ur twin sister, which means she got the traumatising visions while you're the only one who can "understand" them somewhat. Or at least try to make sense of them. But of course everything becomes troublesome when visions get more frequent and violent. Great premise, Lovable LI's (looking at Az, Rory and Kana 👀👀) what more could you want?

When It Hungers (formerly Smoke and Velvet on dashingdon) : First just so you know, the game is currently on dashingdon as Smoke and Velvet but will be moved to Twine with the title as "When it hungers" (u can go see the author tumblr if u curious). Anyway, as a lover of horror stories i can't wait to see more of When It Hungers, even if i made the mistake of reading this at night the first time 😔. The coolest thing ? You can choose to make your MC in three different monster : Basilik, Hellhound or a Haunted Doll, and each of them have a different past based on that choice.

A Tale Of Crowns : Basically A Tale of Crowns is a story based on a fantasy world (inspired by the Middle Eastern) where the big ruler aka The Crown is sorta chosen by the gods and can only be recognised by their golden eyes. Except that usually future crowns are found years before a current crown's death, and your character has been running away their whole lifes. I honestly don't even know how to begin to tell you how much i love this story. The universe built around it is just so well done, the love interests are all interesting for different reasons and i feel transported every time i read it. Even now saying this feels like too little but as usual im not good with english, but yeah just trust me it really deserves more than one look.

The Hunt : Demon Eyes : Just like When It Hungers, this IF is still on dashingdon but will be moved to Twine just so you know opzeakfaz. Anyway the premise is basically you play as a hunter, as in a hunter of supernaturals, whether you think all supernaturals are bad or think there are good ones is up to you, though u know, most of the love interests are supernaturals pzokfga. BUT! One day u end up possessed by a demon you were hunting and only break free TWO YEARS later! So u gonna have to try and find out what the hell happened all this time. There's not much out yet but im already really intrigued by the premise!

Bloodmoon : Who doesn't love a good story about werewolves? If you don't then im sorry you have such a lack of taste 😔. A story which updates every full moon (literally) about a clan of werewolves who just moved into a city, and unfortunatly it doesn't go as well as it could. Honestly between all the unique RO's (Vicky is my personal favorite even if Carrie and Shawnie also got me heart), the twist on the relationship between the wolves and the moon, and the whole story and dynamics between all the characters, Bloodmoon is a delight to read. And yeah i definitely re-read it way too many times oiajgfaoiej.

The Exile : Are you tired of fantasy stories? Well too bad here's one more because i love them!! And boooy this one got me obssesed. Playing as a former commander who was once admired by the kingdom they had vow to protect, they are now a fallen hero due to a tragedy that they cannot even remember. Between new encounters and former allies, trouble just keep finding them no matter what. Sorry for the bad summary but honestly the demo of this story got me so hooked!!! And you can basically choose what kind of "semi magic creature" your mc is! (werewofl, phoenix, etc). Seriously give it a go you won't regret it

Always together, NEVER apart.

Went to Rome last weekend and came back with massive brainrot. So behold! More OCs! And an impromptu Roman History lesson, I hope you’re ready because BOY am I.

So, to keep it short, Romulus and Remus were the mythical twins that founded Rome. I’m not gonna go super into detail in their backstory, bc it’s very heavy and pretty long, so the tl; dr: Romulus and Remus were both nephews of a powerful king, and fated to build a great city. But they couldn’t both be kings, so Romulus killed Remus, after a dispute where Remus disrespected him and the city he was in the process of building. So now Romulus is king, but at what cost?

Both the twins are made of marble because flesh is too boring I guess. My first idea was to make them both bronze statues but then I realized that bronze was more of a Greek material. Romans greatly preferred marble, and imported large quantities of it from various parts of the Empire. Anyway, their situation is pretty interesting, since Romulus is the only one who could be considered “sentient” in a way, but we’re getting there. Now for the closeups!

Fun fact: cipollino marble is also known as onion stone, so if you call him onion boy, I will support it. He’s a very passive person, okay with mostly anything, even something extremely dangerous. Doesn’t really care about things like making friends or talking with people, but while he may not look for the company of others, he still enjoys a good chat from time to time. Extremely polite, unless you give him a reason not to be. He’s very protective of his twin brother, to an obsessive degree, and deeply regrets killing him. He knows he cannot erase what he has done, so he views his situation in the Basement as a sort of punishment. He’s forever cursed to drag his undead brother everywhere, as a reminder of his act.

He wears a toga praetexta, a type of toga with a red trim, usually associated with rulers, and power. Velato capite (or capite velato) literally means covered head, and it was a style of wearing the toga associated with high priests. In ancient Rome, the emperor is the highest priest of all (pontifex maximus) and while Romulus was a king, not an emperor (important difference!) I felt it was still appropriate. The crown is a sun crown (or radiate crown).

And now the him! I’m very proud of the marble effects on Remus. Anyway. He wears a toga atra, a type of dark grey (or brown) toga usually worn in periods of mourning (since he’s dead... maybe it was more appropriate the other way around but I still think it fits).

As I mentioned before, Remus is not entirely “sentient” or at least does not appear to be. He’s little more than a hollow shell in the shape of a person. He does not speak or move on his own, but can still walk and move his only arm (usually prompted by Romulus). With that being said, some believe Remus might actually talk with his brother. It’s not unusual to find Romulus deep into a one-sided conversation with his silent brother, or for Romulus to speak for him (”Remus doesn’t really like you” “Remus saw a shop over there” etc.). Nobody knows how the two communicate, or if they actually do. Some believe Remus has telepathic abilities, most think it’s just Romulus’s delusions.

Anyway, I think we’re done here! I really don’t know what else to say, except that I have no idea how they would work gameplay wise, I just wanted to do something related to Roman mythology and then one thing led to another, and now we’re here. Feel free to ask about these two! It might actually help me work out their personalities more. I would love to hear what you think of them.

“My lord, if I may introduce my associate, Lord Maul.”

You glanced at the man standing next to the emperor. A zabrak, with bright red skin and black interlacing tattoos. You’d heard about his kind; Nightbrothers, they called themselves. Fearsome, tattooed warriors from Dathomir, loyal now to the emperor through Lord Maul. He sensed you staring at him as his eyes settled on you. Your eyes widened and you quickly looked away, your face heating with embarrassment.

Your father nodded beside you to the enigmatic man. “A pleasure to meet you.”

The zabrak inclined his head politely back.

Your father turned to you. “We have much to discuss privately, my dear. You may leave now.”

“Of course, father.” You stood and bowed to the two men on the opposite side of the table. “Emperor Palpatine, Lord Maul, I hope to meet you again soon.”

You took your leave, feeling as if there was a pair of gleaming, golden eyes following you out of the door.

“Lord Maul! You surprised me!”

The zabrak standing before you inclined his head, displaying his cranial horns to you. “I'm sorry. I didn’t mean to frighten you.”

His voice was much more soothing than you expected and it caused shivers to run down your spine. He took your hand in one of his gloved ones and brought it up to his lips, pressing a kiss to your knuckles, his eyes never leaving yours. Your breath hitched and your mind blanked of any thoughts. He lowered your hand but didn’t release it, rubbing circles on the back of your hand with his thumb.

“Where were you going?” he asked, snapping you out of your trance.

“Back to my chambers,” you said, feeling out of breath for some reason. He was standing close enough to you that you could see flecks of red in his golden eyes.

“With no guards?” His brow creased in concern.

“This is a very peaceful planet, Lord Maul.” Why did standing so close to him make your heart beat so fast?

He hummed. “Perhaps. However, one cannot be so sure.” He pressed another kiss to your hand, this time on your fingers. “Would you like me to escort you?”

You tore your gaze away from his, your face heating with an undescribed emotion. “I-if you would like. I would not protest.”

He hummed again and stood back, motioning for you to walk forward. “Then lead the way.”

The trip to your chambers was uneventful, as always. Lord Maul made polite conversation with you along the way, an ever-stoic figure beside you. He asked you about various parts of your planet, which ones you liked the best, how the people thought of your father as their ruler, what your duties were. You were almost sad when you reached the door to your chambers, getting over your initial fear of the mysterious zabrak and quite liking his company.

“Thank you for walking me back, my lord,” you said, curtseying to him from your doorway.

He bowed slightly in return, grasping your hand to once again bring it to his lips. “Of course, it was my pleasure.” The way his lips and voice curled at that last word made another shiver go down your spine.

“Will you escort me again tomorrow?” you asked, your voice hopeful. Your hand sat comfortably still enclosed in his much larger one.

“Of course,” he promised. “Will I see you at the gala tomorrow night?”

“Of course.” The gala your father was throwing in honor of the Emperor, where he would announce his alliance with the Galactic Empire. You could not miss it.

“Good.” His voice came out in a low growl that made your stomach flutter and made you feel warm all over your body. “I will see you then, my lady.” He brought your hand up to his lips one last time and held it there for much longer than was acceptable. Those golden, gleaming eyes stared into your own, as if putting you in a trance that you eagerly fell for, getting lost in them. You thought you saw the barest hint of a smirk as he released your hand and walked away.

Your mind was restless ever since then, and it only got worse as the gala steadily approached. You resisted the urge to fist your hands in the material of your dress as you scanned the ballroom from your perch at the top of the grand staircase. Then, you spotted him; standing at the edge of the room, almost as if he draped himself in the shadows. His appearance hadn’t changed much, merely trading in his traveling tunic for a more intricate one. His gaze snapped to yours, as if he felt you watching him.

Making your way down the intricate staircase, you held your head high, preening under his attention. His eyes raked over you from head to toe, drawing up from the full, red skirt of your dress, the jewels sewed into it sparking under the light. His eyes drew up to your stomach and chest, pausing for a few moments at the deep neckline that ended at your sternum. Your steps faltered and your skin grew hot as his eyes lazily traveled over the skin of your chest. He grinned, running his tongue over his teeth in a lewd gesture that made you falter more.

As various dignitaries from around the galaxy greeted your father, you making polite conversation with them when they asked, you constantly scanned the floor for Maul. Music played softly in the background and you escaped from your father’s side, intent on your search. You didn’t have to go far before a voice called your name from behind you.

“My lady,” Maul said, stepping out from the shadows. He took your hand once more up to his lips, his intense gaze never leaving yours. “May I have this dance?” he asked, pulling you into position before you even answered him.

“Of course,” you replied, already breathless. You placed a hand on his shoulder, settling your left hand in his while he wrapped an arm around your waist, pulling you into the dance.

He spun you effortlessly around the ballroom, never treading once on your feet. “You are quite the excellent dancer, Lord Maul,” you remarked.

“My master taught me in the fine ways,” he replied, smirking. “In case I should ever need to woo someone.”

You dropped your gaze to his chest, unable to keep his intense gaze. “I-I see. You certainly look good enough to woo someone.”

“You as well.”

You looked up at him again, face flushing with his praise and surprise. You responded automatically, but you couldn’t think of anything else to say. “Thank you.”

You danced in silence with him for several moments. The skin under his gloves was almost unnaturally hot, almost burning into your hand and waist. With each new step, he drew you closer, until it would become unacceptable, but you weren’t stopping him.

“I must confess something to you, my lady,” he murmured, his voice low and sensuous.

“I as well,” you said, taking the initiative to step closer to him this time.

He gazed at you for a moment, his eyes roaming all over your face, down your neck, and to your chest before coming back up to your eyes. “I am positively obsessed with you,” he breathed. “You have plagued my mind ever since our meeting yesterday.”

“You as well,” you sighed. “I cannot stop thinking about you, Maul.”

Maul sighed through his nose, closing his eyes for a moment, then opening them and looking off behind you. “Your father seeks an alliance with the emperor. A marriage between you and I could arrange that.”

“Oh.” Your heart dropped and you were sure your face fell, as Maul immediately reacted.

“But do not think my obsession stems from that,” he said, his tone turning desperate. “I desire you, so very ardently. I swear I would only ever treat you well, like the queen you deserve to be. Please, I must have you.”

Your head swam from his words. No one had ever professed their desire for you like that. “You…you want me?”

“I swear it, my starlight,” Maul said solemnly.

You sighed again, a smile coming to your face as giddiness rushed through your veins. “Then you shall have me, my lord.”

Maul announced his intentions for you to your father that night after the ball. Your father agreed immediately. A week later, you were married, becoming queen of Dathomir and all its territories in one fell swoop.

Unfortunately, Maul could not stay with you after the wedding, as his master, the emperor, sent him on a mission. He swore he would return to you as soon as possible.

Your room in his palace was lonely. The large bed in the center of the wall was too large for one person. Your guards were only ever polite to you when you needed escorting from your room to meals and other places. Your calls to your father became less frequent as the emperor required more of him. You had more maidservants than ever before. But the only things that mattered to you were your letters from Maul.

The one connection you had to him, his letters he sent to you through a secured holo. He tried to send them every day, but with the constraints of his mission, he often broke that, causing your worry to skyrocket before the next letter came in. He always began them with “My Starlight” and always ended them with “Your Night Wanderer.” He never disclosed the nature of his mission and rarely talked about his day, instead asking you about yours and writing treatises on your beauty. You often felt like a lovesick girl after reading his letters, flushing hot at his praise spilled on the page.

His letters became desperate and soon you were flushing with lust along with his praise. His words became hotter and heavier, praying that he would soon know your sweet taste and feel your soft skin under his hands. He made bolder statements, saying that you would not have to leave your bed for days once he returned. It would almost make you nervous if it didn’t make you giddy at the same time.

acomaf review

so i recently reread acomaf and i made a post about everything that i liked/didn’t like (more of the latter). i also started another one so some of that is repeated in here. i have referenced page numbers but they are all from the uk paperback edition so i don’t think they will be the same for everyone. it’s all chronological. there will probably be typos since i wrote this on a whim pls ignore them. this is quite anti rhys so if that bothers you just ignore this and pls don’t attack me for my opinions.

(pg. 24) feyre says "I don't know if I can handle them calling me High Lady." implying that she doesn't even want to be in a position of power in prythian. is that the trauma talking? tamlin also says that there is no such thing as high lady which makes no sense bc high lord power is hereditary so it should be able to go to women too. also this makes rhys making feyre high lady make no sense.

(pg. 29) poor lucien i cannot believe his brothers did that to his girlfriend

(pg. 48-49) feyre threw a shoe at rhysand and all im saying is that, if nesta threw a shoe at cassian, they would try and flay her alive

(pg. 255) cassian's dinner table speech about how feyre died for the fae and nesta should stop being a bitch. um, sir your people enslaved hers for CENTURIES? and you want to play the fucking victim? okayyy sure. have fun with that

(pg. 280) rhys doesn't make his people play the tithe but he lets them live in tents in snowy mountains? while he lives in comfort? and im supposed to support this guy? hard pass for me

(pg. 288) rhys stalks about keeping velaris a secret and says "My people do not seem to be suffering much from it." basically ignoring the people in the hewn city and illyria as his people? tehy are all hated by the rest of the courts and apparently rhys is just cool with that bc velaris is fine.

(pg. 326) all i want to say is that cresseida deserves so much better

(pg. 361) okay lol jurian was "obsessive" in his pursuit to free his people. why couldn't he just be chill about it? his people could wait you know. he didn't hav eto go batshit crazy. it's not like they were servants their whole lives and were being treated like they weren't people.

(pg. 377) okay so this is when cassian comes back from giving nesta the letter (wings and ember) and he says something about how the family is full of "bossy, know-it-all females" my mans you invaded HER PERSONAL SPACE and asked her intrusive and inappropriate questions. she literally did what any other woman would have done.

(pg. 386) rhys fully says "neither side is innocent" when talking to the mortal queens BOI THE FAE KEPT THEM AS SLAVES WHAT DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND STOP TRYING TO SOUND OPPRESSED OMG

(pg. 393) they are talking about how miryam and drakon fell in love when she was still with jurian and apparently it's jurian's fault bc he was too obsessed with liberating the humans? you can say what you want about them fighting for the humans but it's clear they really don't give a shit

(pg. 398) feyre hears mor's story and says that she understands why rhys can't forgive nesta. she actually just compared what mor's family did (trying to marry off mor and nailing a note to her body and leaving her at the autumn court) to what nesta did (was mean to feyre when their family was in poverty and didn't stop feyre from hunting). chilee wut

(pg. 415) the court of nightmares scene and all i want to say is DID ANYONE IN THE HEWN CITY CONSENT TO SEE THAT. also their high lord using women like objects isn't exactly sending his people the best message, especially the youthful ones. like if their ruler is doing it, then why shouldn't they? rhys is kind of making it worse for women ( at the very least he isn't helping AT ALL)

(pg. 443) mor says that she hates the illyrian mountains and says that they should be "burned to the ground", completely forgetting about all of the people there, the culture and the fact that she has 2 and half illyrian friends

(all of chapter 54) rhys tells us his sad backstory and a bunch of excuses but never apologises for his actions utm. am i supposed to excuse sexual assault because he was emotionally distraught? bc im not going to do that

(pg. 548-553) nesta stands up A LOT for the humans and tries to convince the queens to give them the book. we see a lot of her humanity in this scene. don't tell me she's just a cold bitch please read with your eyes and see for yourself. ALSO THE NESSIAN BIT ON PAGE 553 LETS GOOOO

(pg. 559) feyre talks about how nesta feels everything too much and i just want to ask where this feyre was in acofas when her sister was off in the deep end with her ptsd

(pg. 589) jurian is called a monster for literally no fucking reason omg give my guy a break

Come on guys after all that you can't believe he would put Cersei before her (or maybe I'm fuckin wrong since D&D don't even seem to know correct details in their behind the scenes cuts). So yes I believe Jamie wants to kill Female Jaime because....if she defeats Dany she is coming for them in Winter fell (also Brienne and Sansa are in WF).

No I don't ship Jaimsa (because hello fuckin weirdos 💝), but Briennes oath means something to Jaime.

BUT I hate...hate...hate how Jaime left her (the 🍑). He broke her heart after she finally opened it ...and this (D2 will burn in hell, the crossroads demon is on it).

Brienne will NOT die. I can't believe otherwise.There are some characters you don't touch (Juliet from Lost, Clarke from The 100, Castiel) and she is one of them. I love that Gwen was real about her arc of being a woman this season.

I do think I have an unhealthy obsession with Braime as this episode actually made me sick(no it wasn't the take away) and now I will forever remember this as the night Braime became canon and the day when I felt like The Prince of Dorne when his eyes were popping (oh Oberyn....Pedro Pascal I miss your holiness sexiness).

And what with all the articles/YouTubers predicting pregnancies? We watched (with my friend, I'm not hallucinating from dehydration) people predicting a pregnant Dany, Brienne, Arya (?)....basically everyone with boobs. Chill guys if you worried about repopulating Samwell is on it!

And Tyrion best wingman in Westeros. What even was he doing showing off to GingerBain (btw good for you, tap dat rebound ass babe....and have fun going back to the land of the lost....you could have taken Dumbass Emo with you 🤫). Btw guys how many versions of the Two Dudes Just Hanging And Discussing The Fate Of The Iron Throne While Demeaning Rulers (mostly women) As Incompetent do we have to sit through? Can I like request to see actual things like Two Eyed Robot telling the sisters about the heritage or Sansa telling Tyrion instead of cutting away? That Tyrion and Sansa scene was having me on the edge.

And we come to Sansa. My queen, my sunshine and..... apparently my New Little finger ( is it only me who hates this comparison that reduces her to a power hungry, brothel-less creepy dude even thought she's been doing everything for her family????). I lost it when I heard them bring this up in the Untucked Uncut vid. Like maybe give us some actual scenes with Sansa where we get to see her contemplating her goals and wishes and not just her looking pretty up into the sky (compulsory shot of season 8). I've been feeling so far away from Sansa since season 7 (worst season ever....but this one is a contender).

Also from now on I'm believing in Bronn.He foresaw the Bang and said he will collect later. There will be a later for the boys! Bronn gave up on the castle he's now gone to take over for the Witchy Woman who talked to frogs and Cersei. Big ups for the resident Reversed Three Eyed Raven!

I have read the interview where GRRM said he doesn't agree or like some character fates. I agree GRRM so can you give us a book ....I mean God's it takes me ages to get started on my coursework, bit at least I submit it 10 min before the deadline!

Also the total lack of any mention of Braime in both behind the scenes....??!!!...Might be good news.

The Reflection Episodes 8 and 9

People seem to have lost interest in these, but i press on anyway.

Episode 8

Steel Ruler and Eleanor have a chat- Steel was homeless or something when the smoke hit her and was happy to be taken in by Wraith. She thinks Eleanor feels similarly with how she looks up to X-On but points out that X-On is kinda a dick and also that he “won’t save his friends”.

She tells Eleanor if she comes and joins Wraith, they’ll let go all the people they captured in New Orleans. She also gives er a flash drive. 

Meanwhile, I-Guy is GRIM AND GRITTY NOW.

Eleanor is confronted by the not-FBI lady from episode 2. Apparently the organization she belongs to is so next-level it doesn’t even HAVE  a name. Their job is to deal with the Reflected, so she wants to work with Eleanor to catch Wraith. But she’s kinda a jerk, so Eleanor says no. 

The drive reveals a bunch of kids died in a lab fire with a kid named “X” being the sole survivor. Eleanor asks X-On if it’s him and if he lets his friends die and X-On’s like “yeh”. He refuses to say anything else because why stop being a dick now, so Eleanor gives up on him and leaves. 

Aaaaand that’s the episode. Not very exciting stuff, unfortunately.

Episode 9

Eleanor goes with Steel Ruler and the other villains. Not-FBI lady follows, and the villains throw lots of illusions and other shit up to stop her, but she is amazingly persistent.

Meanwhile Lisa’s says to X-On “I BELIEVE IN YOU AND ELEANOR BELIEVES IN YOU SO BELIEVE IN ELEANOR AND US.” I’m not sure why she believes in him honestly. He hasn’t said a single nice thing this entire anime and they know literally nothing about him. But I guess he hasn’t DONE anything bad and technically saved some ppl?

Not-FBI lady’s car gets thrown by electricity villain, but Micheal and Vy come and save her. Sick of X-On’s bullshit, Lisa starts to leave to find Eleanor by herself, but she’s stopped by the not-FBI. 

The not-FBI’s all like “u have to stay here” but Lisa’s like “lol no”. Before she can do anything, Vy starts going berserk. Apparently, she (along with all the others affected by the smoke) is being summoned by Wraith. So X-On decides they should let her go to Wraith and follow her to find Eleanor.

Meanwhile, Eleanor meets up with Stan Lee.

Another fairly boring episode.

Episode 10

Eleanor teleports away but Stan Lee’s like “eh, it’s fine”. The confidence of a man who has been in 300 different superhero movies and shows at this point. 

The other heroes arrive too, and Stan Lee is waiting there SIPPING TEA VILLAINOUS (I hear he’s gonna voice himself in the dub, I’m tempted to watch it just for that). Unfortunately, he just leaves and lets his lackeys attack. X-On goes after Eleanor. Eleanor meets up with Wraith who lectures her a while about how X-On doesn’t care about her and neither did her parents but HE cares about her and needs her. I’m not really pleased that Eleanor’s central conflict is which male character she wants to acknowledge her. I mean, X-On hasn’t really DONE anything that should make her cling to him this much. 

If she wants to be acknowledged so badly, Lisa really cares about her and admires her.  She made a positive impact on both Micheal and Vy’s lives too and they also seem to care about her. Does it have to be some douchey dude? Why doesn’t anyone point this out? And we don’t even really learn anything about Eleanor in the ep named after her- just reiterating how lonely she is and the thing about her parents obsessing over her dead twin and ignoring her.

Anyway X-On follows Eleanor but it’s a trap!  She turns into Wraith- Wraith calls him Ethan Everett. They’ve sure got the alliteration of comics down. The E’s make me wonder...could X-On somehow be Eleanor’s dead twin brother? Or is Wraith? He was stillborn though, so I don’t see how, but I’ve seen less weird plot twists.

another not great episode, but it wasn’t boring at least. Also the ending music was really nice. now the only aired one i haven’t seen is 11. Let’s get to it!

Episode 11

Eleanor was hit by the light AND the smoke! Meaning she has both good and EVIL! like...most people...but anyway!

Okay Wraith is talking about how he made his “little sister” disappear so i guess he is Eleanor’s dead twin...somehow...

wait now Steel Ruler is saying Eleanor IS Wraith? Does she have a split personality or something where she transforms into her brother? how does that even work? I guess she can teleport so it’s possible to be two places at once...and maybe she had more powers than she knew about? idk maybe they’ll attempt to explain this

Somehow, by putting the Allens in a circle, Wraith teleports everyone- all the Reflected are in the desert now, including our magical girl group, who are visiting America. they still haven’t magical girled-out yet. I’M WAITING.

ah, all the Allen ladies received the power of teleportation for some reason and after using the teleportation power to transport the 500 heroes in America to this one place, they just all died from the strain, except Nina for some reason. So she could be sad about her mom I guess?

Wraith gives their evil speech about how they’re going to CHANGE THE WORLD (somehow? it’s not at all clear what they plan to do) and one guys like “what? I’m fine tho. this is boring i have a meeting tomorrow i’m leaving.” MILDLY AMUSING. Also mildly amusing is the awkward pause as a bunch of people start to leave and then someone’s cell phone rings and X-On takes a second to realize it’s him while everyone glares.

Anyway, the army has come to attack bc of course they have, and the rage of being attacked makes all the “bright” reflections start to turn “dark” or whatever. Lisa is very annoyed by all this. The heroes try to stop the fighting, the villains attack although Steel Ruler seems to be having doubts at this point.

The magical girls are FINALLY threatening to DO SOMETHING next episode...And so we end. I have NO IDEA what’s going on, but I am genuinely interested to see how this wraps up. See you this Saturday for the final ep, I guess!

I agree with everything you've said like I don't hate D but what reason does she have to rule the 7 kingdoms? She can't create a legacy bc a) she thinks she's the last T and b) she's been told she can't have children and what reason does cersei have? Like the only reason D thinks she has a right is bc her crazy ass dad was king but he was crazy!! And got overthrown! And like the T's were only on the thrown bc they made all the others bend the knee! So if she's gonna use that as an excuse (1/2)

(2/2) that her family ruled then she has to respect the right of "usurpers" which would make Robert legitimate, thereby destroying her own claim!! And like if she's all about the people and freeing the people, why can't she let the North do its thing when that is so clearly what the people there want and have always wanted? They chose Jon, not her, and making him bend the knee isn't gonna change that and forcing them thru dragons isn't a choice. Let them be!!!!

IMHO she hasn’t shown me she would be a good ruler for the 7 kingdoms and why she has the right to rule. She is a great conqueror, I will give her that but ruler of the 7 kingdoms? Idk how she would do. I mean looked what happened to Mereen? Also, she put Dario in charge! Who knows what will happen to that city?

Now, I don’t think D*ny can’t have kids. I think there is a chance she can...

...D*ny’s entitlement drives me crazy!! You have no idea. The thing with D*ny is that its more of she thinks she deserves the throne rather than she will be a good ruler that Westeros needs. If that makes sense? That is one of the things that irks me about her character. Also, she wants these people to bend the knee to her but hasn’t proved to these people she is different from other rulers or not her father. She just expects them to bend the knee??

I don’t know much about Targ history but I have always assumed they got everyone to bend the knee cuz you know dragons. And just seems they just brought incest, destruction, dragons lol. The good king Jaeherys is prob only Targ I would actually stan. Rn with D*ny it seems like a join me or burn situation...which...you're not showing that you're different from other past rulers, and also the people will only follow you because they fear you...how does that make you different from other tyrants? 

The North idea you're bringing up is very interesting actually. I know Jon will bend the knee by the end of the season and D*ny will be happy about this. HOWEVER, I think when she gets to WF she will realize it's not that easy. I doubt the North is going to be cool with this. They didn’t even want Jon to leave them! Now he comes back and is like hey guys I am back, got dragon glass, oh also I bend the knee to the Targ! So yeah...North is hers...

Also, I am just imagining if it goes down like DAY 1 THEY LEARN JON BEND THE KNEE THEN 3 HRS LATER JON COMES BACK AND IS LIKE SOOO...I AM A SECRET TARG... XD WHAT?! HOW WILL THEY REACT TO THIS SHIT?! 

All seriousness tho, the North picked Jon. They only follow a ruler they believe in and that is Jon. Honestly, I see them being like whatever to D*ny. I don’t even know if Jon can say anything to convince them too? I think it's gonna be like before he left to DS. They gonna say fuck no, you just lost your mind Snow, and that's it. I mean...they all will have to work together but I have a feeling all of them are going to make it known they don’t gaf, they only follow their king which gods its foreshadowing again with king Jon idea. 

...People in Mereen etc followed D*ny cuz they believed in her but idk if the people in Westeros will...

I do wonder if D*ny will be like North is yours to Jon cuz she sees ppl don’t believe or want her has their ruler at the end...or if she will be like do it or...you know...

You know I don’t really care who gets IT cuz I m thinking of the war but there was this quote Varys said to Tyrion about the ruler Westeros needed and when he first said that I didn’t see D*ny match that description 110%...

I know I have rambled a bit and this comes off anti-D*ny but I do like her character (kinda hard to 110% hate her w/ Emilia) but unlike other viewers, I see her has a grey character. I don’t view this character has a hero or savior of Westeros. I see D*ny has a character who once wanted to go home but along the way got obsessed with getting the throne she believes she is entitled to. Ignoring the fact that she might not be the ruler Westeros needs. 

However, i feel her viewpoint could change a bit once she sees the threat of the wws (and lose 1 of her children aka dragons). I feel she will see that maybe she has a different role to play. That its not all about IT but survival. And if she does want to rule and be a good queen, one of the things she has to do is protect her people which rn is from the NK...

IDK if any of this made sense but I tried :P
