have you ever dreamed about atz/idol(s) before?

i had a dream not long after txt's tnc:temptation was released. i was a main role (??) of some sorts in txt's cysm and we were shooting the mv (i was watching content from tdc:eternity era before sleeping so i guess that explains it)

so blah blah blah, terry and i become best friends, blah blah blah, i end up going home after the shoot. next morning i wake up to what seems like a studio choom behind ep, and its txt's reactions when they find out i wont be filming with them anymore??(somehow we skipped a whole 4 albums and came back to tnc:temptation?) so soobin, beomgyu and yeonjun were spinning in a t-pose with the fairy dust sprinkling around them, terry and kai were watching them, and then they were like all sad when they found out i wasnt filming anymore, then started sending hearts and blowing kisses to the camera AND TERRY SAID I LOVE YOU😭

so i started crying in the dream and posted the clip of yunjin saying 정말 감사합니다 on my twitter 😭😭 then i woke up and got really sad that i wasnt actually friends w taehyun

in all my dreams of txt, taehyun is always my best friend and its so sad when i wake up to realise it was just a dream and ill never be friends w him 😭😭😭

i dream a lot actually, so much it's almost a problem bc they're so vivid and i rarely ever feel well rested bc of them oops BUT i've had a few crazy kpop dreams too:

a similar friendzone situation happened to me where me and taeyong were supposed to be best friends? in the same college and he was angry about sth on our way to clg and i was trying to calm him down but he ended up being mean and i was like find me when you're calm 💀 and then he felt sorry or sth and we were in class (some auditorium kinda setting) and he kept looking at me with those sad apologetic eyes and when i finally met his gaze he mouthed 'sorry' and i gave him the 👌okay sign AND THEN THAT MF MOUTHED 'I LOVE YOU' AND ISTG I SOBBED RIGHT THERE (i guess i was in love with him 😩) AND I MOUTHED ILY BACK BUT ISTG MY HEART BROKE.

an ateez dream that keeps me awake tho it's a funny one i think i've told someone on another ask too but what happened was yungi and i are a best friends trio and yunho had been away for some time and he was back in town so mingi and i were going to meet up with him in some park right and it was late at night so not many ppl were around and when i saw yunho waving at me i literally dropped everything and ran towards him and he spread his arms and i jump-hugged him and he picked me up and i was hugging him and he was spinning me around (i'm losing it if you can't tell already) and i was still in his arms, my legs wrapped around him for support and i broke the hug to look at him aND IM SO STUPID I JUST GIGGLED AND SAID "so this is how the air feels like from up here" JKFHGJSFDHGKJDFHGKJ (i want to cry every time i think about this dream bc a) it's funny and b) that hug was so warm and i haven't had a good hug in years))

Back on that Native Dakota Cole propaganda grind

Dakota Cole being Native is so important to me. This silly little headcannon brings me so much joy, to see the character do so many things that are so so Native coded and to have a story that feels inherently Native. I don't get a lot of representation in mainstream media. A lot of the time you have to search for it yourself. In this essay I will-

Native Coding Evidence in Cannon-

Dakota, the name by itself is a fairly Native name.

Alaska (Dakota's aunt) is also a very Native name.

Dakota's real name, Damascus, originally sounded very French to me. French would point to Native, because Native people often traded with French fur traders up north (of the united states) and into Canada. With the French, sometimes there was intermarriage, whether in violence or in peace. However, with some research into the name it comes from the Bible, and the direct meaning from google is "A sack full of blood, the similitude of burning."

Alaska's struggle with addiction (a common symptom of generational trauma from the Native genocide)

Playing a drum to calm down! Drums are a very Native thing.

He has that weird thing with bears? Native ways teach more by doing then showing so learning from wildlife seems to be a way his Grandma mentor would try to teach him, and Bears is a very Native associated animal.

How Dakota fits a Native Narrative-

Having a warrior spirit. Dakota Cole has very strong morals, and undoubtedly a fighting spirit. From the way he fights, from his strength, to his honor and respect for life.

He's disconnected from his family, yet makes strong connections with others. A lot of natives separated from their culture because of assimilation and genocide often yearn for families they know love them but cannot reach, for a culture they know should be there but cannot access. Being away from that but knowing something is missing is extremely painful. You yearn for a community, and a need for a strong community is in Native blood. Dakota makes strong meaningful connections, mimicking what he is missing.

Dakota Native Headcannons-

The first time he sees a powwow he cries (he's just like me fr fr)

His mentor is Native, and lives on his Rez. That's how he found him the first time around, he was on the road, and the only place he knew of that could possibly take him in was an obscure town Aunt Alaska had mentioned once or twice of growing up in. He goes there hoping to find more family, instead he finds his Teacher (Mentor).

(Teacher is from the Eagle clan if you care)

He wakes up in the morning, and sit in the sunrise, and smudges like he was taught by his Mentor.

During the ten-month break he got really close with the community on the Rez, he would often help however he could with his superpowers.

He listens to Native Rap when he works out and Native flute music to calm down.

He connects to Vyncent a lot about tribes and traditons bc that's what Vyncent had in Fauna.

During the ten-month break he learns to powwow dance.

He spouts off old Native teachings like a parrot of what his mentor has told him, sounds really mature, and Vyncent and Will are like... "that was really smart Dakota." And he's like. Idk what it means my Mentor just told me that lmao then he keeps being silly

He get's his hair cut during the ten-month break into a mowhawk :)

(when he wants to grow it out he just buzz cuts it to even it out and he looks slay af with a buzzed head)

When he gets older he's going to get almost full body Native tattoos.

He incorporates beading into his superhero fit

Dakota's Native name is Miskomin-Makoons (Raspberry- Cub)

The Damascus' are from the Bear clan.

• leo & donnie don’t really do much to stop the noise but they go hard

• any cars or trucks that pass by a bouncing van filled with 1 person and 4 mutant turtles doesn’t really do anything

• just another night in ny

• raph & mikey would briefly teach you how to rap so that they weren’t the only turtles doing it

• i mean leo can kind of rap but raph pressures you into letting him teach you

• mikey’s his assistant

• think of it as a tutorial

• mikey likes to use doja cats music as a helpful little guide in rap

• at some point raph will coax you into duetting with him (cough)

• leo has completely opposite taste

• while mikey and raph argue over who gets to play their playlist he’ll start playing his

• he’s a band kind of turtle (i like to think of lovejoy)

• but interpret that as you like

• y’alls hype eventually gets to a point where it’s just all of you yelling lyrics of your favorite song, freaking tf out over rap battles, literally shaking the van like jfc

• donnie doesn’t play his playlist bc he just listens to piano music to focus on his works he knows he would get flamed on the spot if he even thought of showing his playlist

• please just let him drive

• there will be a point where mikey has to do tiktok dances and no, there isn’t any negotiating

• you have to watch mikey do the renegade bc a random 11 year old was filming themselves in the middle of an alleyway and that was a major influence

• when the music dies down you’ll be reciting vines, there isn’t a say in this either

• mikey loves patrick william charlton vines, raph likes kenny knox and dope island, donnie with bo burnham vines, and leo,,

• leo never really got into vine but he will constantly, constantly recite this

• and because it’s like, 2 am, you’re all hysterically laughing at dumbass vines and trying to not crash the van

• mikey can, and always will, fall asleep first in the van

• at that point you all call it a night bc if mikey’s tired, you’re all going to have to hit the hay sooner or later

- unabashedly loves harry styles . would buy tickets "for his gf" but definitely wanted to go . he would coordinate outfits and wear a boa . harry's house is his fav album

- would play mlb the show like. religiously

- is either a cubs or cardinals fan but would make fun of anyone who would willingly admit to being a reds fan

- would still drive a bmw but it's like a 2009 that he bought himself when he turned 17

- def wears his glasses all the time

- gets mad about the colts record even thought he doesn't understand football at all

- is a feminist but when u start dating he becomes like . radical . before he was just like "yeah pro life pay women yadda yadda" but i think he would go to the indianapolis womens march with u and robin no questions asked

- helps robin set up her tinder profile . i'm talking like photoshoot

- literally always taking candids . whether it's u or robin or the kids he's always taking photos and he def has different albums in his phone so he remembers different events

i also see him being really into basketball, has a little group of guys he plays with and everything. they have a scrimmage every week and he’ll wear an old grey shirt that you cut the sleeves off of and really old, baggy basketball shorts that you can most definitely see his bulge through and he comes back all gross and sweaty and he’s so excited to tell you how he played bc he has that rush of endorphins after:)

loves baseball, takes you to all the games and wears a baseball cap and everything. makes you split nachos with him and he will literally yell at the players as if they can hear him. when things get real intense, he’ll stand up with his arms crossed or his hands on his hips, so into it. and every time there’s a bad play, he throws his hands up all annoyed like “cmon now, what are we paying you for???” and he cups his hands around his mouth and yells it. he’s so obnoxious i love him.

i can also really see him joining a band. he definitely teaches himself how to play bass and it’s quite honestly the hottest thing imaginable. i feel he also dapples in the drums, he loves the theatrics of it lmfao.

i can also see him being kind of.. basic when you first meet him BAHHAH like stereotypical “guy” — dresses in like plain shirts and jeans and his music taste is wack and a little basic and he’s kind of just normal. but then once he starts hanging out with robin and dating you, he changes a lot. i can kind of see him embracing more of his “non-masculine” interests and traits that he never knew he had bc that stuff really wasn’t accepted by his parents. he wears a gold necklace you got him (it’s a little dainty and a bit feminine and it looks so crazy hot on him) and he wears true outfits rather than whatever he has lying around in his room — he wears converse and nicer slacks and t shirts that are a little baggy and he has a nice watch with a brown leather band and he wears the ring you got him for christmas on his ring finger and another gold band on his thumb. he’s not really too much of a hat guy, but if he doesn’t really feel like styling his hair, he wears a cap, maybe a beanie if it’s cold. in the winter he’ll wear a white undershirt under a sweater and white wash jeans:)

he has “old man” glasses, as you like to call them. he’s tried contacts, but you told him a while ago before you started dating how handsome you thought he looks in his glasses, and you haven’t really seen him wear contacts since.

takes pics of EVERYTHING — even if it’s just a dog he saw on the street on his way to work or the funny way they spelled his name on his starbucks in the morning or a cloud that looks like a dick — he sends you them CONSTANTLY throughout the day. loves taking pics when you all hang out and he loves to do a photo dump at the end of the month (it’s mostly just you or funny pictures of robin. he’s also a sucker for a good sunset photo, he can’t help it)

i feel like he also gets more into more “feminine” hobbies or just things he wasn’t really allowed to do when he was younger. he likes to take care of plants and write little song lyrics throughout the day when they come to him and i feel he tries origami and he’s slowly teaching himself guitar and maybe tries drawing a bit — just things his parents never really approved of or saw any value in.

i also feel modern!steve is really into cars. like has a dream car all picked out for when he hits the lottery and every time you’re out, at least once, he sees a nice car on the street and does a little wold whistle like “damn. a 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.” and you’re like “what? is that a good one?” and he’s like “…. yeah, y/n, that’s a 55 thousand dollar car.” he will point them out to you ALWAYS, without fail. sometimes you’ll see a car you like when you’re out and you’re like “ooo wait steve what’s that one called?” and he looks up for a split second, squinting a little to get a better look at it and then he’s like “oh, yeah, a Lexus LC, you like that one?”

he also really loves making little spotify playlists for every occasion and he loves playing them for you and seeing if you think they’re any good (he thinks your music taste is so cool). he always loves when you aux in the car bc he loves listening to your music and finding new stuff and adding it to a little playlist of songs he gets from you/reminds him of you:) but then there’s also times he really loves to aux and he really does love his guilty pleasure music, he sings along to barry manilow without shame he’s just like me fr he is my new obsession

Shisui was one of Akami's first childhood friends and later her first lil love. She goes w Shisui to meet Sasuke when she’s 13yr, he’s only a few weeks old but the second she holds him and his chubby baby hand swipes her chin she falls in love. Bc of her relationship with Shisui Akami spends more and more time around Sasuke— he’d be tagging along after the big kids, but she always made time for him. Even if it was 20 extra minutes before a mission or after a long day of training, she’d hide her injuries and play with him instead. She’s one of many Anbu called to the scene the night of the Uchiha massacre. The second she found him all alone she knew she was taking him home and she quit Anbu that night.  Akami never felt heard or seen as a child so she tries her best to make sure that Sasuke has a voice. She didn’t intend to take on a parental role; it just happened over the years. She’s always open about his family and ready to listen when he confides in her, she teaches him every single uchiha jutsu she knows (and eventually kakashi does too) so Sasuke can still feel connected to his Clan. She gets him through his nightmares and defends him tooth and nail, she teaches him how to cook and use a sword. No matter what, he's always gonna be her baby and she’ll be his Kami-chan. There is nothing she wouldn’t do for him.  Akami and Kakashi knew each other as kids, they did not get along until their traumas sort of forced them to see eye to eye and rely on each other.  But it wasn’t a friendship until their early-mid teens, even then it always felt like more. Shortly after she takes in Sasuke they start a tumultuous FWB only to realize they very obviously love each other. Sasuke approves bc Kakashi makes Akami happy and is always there for her (for better or worse) and Kakashi and Sasuke start to have a very meaningful connection well before he becomes his sensei.  Yes parent squad ! Sasuke deserves the world and I love that you love him too!!<3 In ATLA Akami would be a water bender, she’s a descendant of the Yuki clan so it just seems fitting for her heritage! Tho I’d be wary of her healing abilities, she’s more of a fighter and I would not put it past her to learn how to blood bend! (She was Anbu Root for a reason💀)  Sasuke is fire bb! Kakashi I go back and forth on but I think he would be fire too .I love love love love ATLA and have tried to make an au for her but I find it hard to imagine Akami interacting w the gang (They all just feel so young lol- though she’d probably like Suki and Zuko best) I think that she would get along really well with Piandao! June, Jet and Iroh too. She’d def feel some sort of kinship for Azula (ruthless + manipulative never taught to love, w similar mommy and daddy issues!🤝lol) Yes Yes! I love snakes, they are so beautiful !! i would love to do them !

jehan:

-modern jehan is really into rap culture and i'll never stop using that hc. his poetry comes out in freestyling and he's really into going to local venues that hold competitions. he doesn't always compete but he still enjoys going and observing people's rhyme schemes and vocal patterns and filing them away as inspo for later

-canon era jehan owns a lot of weird things just because he has the money to do so. he bought the full hand bones of a human that's just displayed in a glass box. jehan isn't a medical student- he just thought it was interesting. he's a bit of an impulse buyer

-he's also slowly building a frankenstein candle in his lodgings. when jehan gets bored, he just starts melting candles on top of this massive pile of melted candles. it's about two feet tall at this point. he's really proud of it

-modern jehan tries learning to skateboard every 6 months. he takes a board out to the street and tries doing tricks, but almost gets hit by 7 cars, eats shit, and tore his newest sweatpants. so he goes home grumbling and puts the board away until he finds it again in 6 months and gets super excited to try again, forgetting how it went last time (he's been doing this for like 4 years)

-he also dresses super masc, talking like jesse pinkman swag, but uses stereotypical female scented body sprays. this dude walks down the street being the epitome of Dude but is also in an aura of Blueberry Sugar Pancake Smell. it's very strong, but it is pleasant.

gavroche:

-he has microtia, so his right ear is small and not really formed, and he can't really hear on one side. he's thrilled when he finds out that enjolras is fully deaf in one ear (this is my other enjolras hc and man i tried so hard looking for the post but cannot for the life of me find it rn). in modern era, he asks a lot of questions about enjolras's hearing aids and how he lost it and feels really cool that someone like enjolras is like him. this also means that he wants to try and be annoying on enjolras's deaf side until he notices bc it's still gavroche

-modern gavroche stole one of montparnasse's paint pens and has his own little tag that he likes challenging himself to put in very very secret spots that no one else will ever find. graffiti is a game for gavroche and he's winning

-feuilly teaches him to read in canon era. i think i just see a lot of gavroche in feuilly and feuilly would as well, so he does what he can to try and push him in the right direction. they have a really brotherly relationship

-modern gavroche also has problems of stealing and pick-pocketing. he's really fucking good at it, but it turns into moments where he's just stealing because. he doesn't even want the shit he steals. he goes into small shops and takes a bunch of chapstick and gum and eye drops and throws them in a shoebox in his hiding spot when he gets home. he got busted once for stealing a bottle of hand lotion. he gave them feuilly's number instead of his parents and feuilly ended up making him show him the boxes of things he had stolen. gavroche didn't feel bad when he got caught, but his stomach sinks when he sees feuilly pinch the bridge of his nose and turn around because he doesn't even know what to say

Sorry I didn't get to this last night! Boy one thing I want to rant about is my atla tangled au. I'm doing an atla au oneshot for Varigo week, but i accidentally wrote the whole plot of the show in my head lol oops (Under the cut since it's so long!)

Varian and Eugene are cousins from the Southern Water Tribe. Varian is a nonbender who steals shit out of the wrecks of old Fire Nation ships to build his machines. He relies on his inventions and chemical bombs to "do his bending." Eugene is a waterbender who really hates where he lives (he wants SUN and TROPICAL BEACHES and BABES) but he can't leave because something something village responsibility. But that all changes when they meet the avatar.

Raps is the avatar, obviously. Pascal is a giant dragon/chameleon that can camouflage himself so no one can see them when they fly around.

Cass is Zuko. She wants to live up to her mother Gothel's expectations and earn her love by capturing the Avatar. She can shoot lightning a la Azula bc her mom is so damn powerful.

Hugo is a criminal running an underground earthbending fighting ring for one of Don's many Ba Sing Se hustles. the Raps crew thinks it might be a good idea to try and bribe a criminal to teach her how to earthbend since technically the state has labeled them as criminals too. Cue Varigo meet-cute where Varian realizes Hugo is rigging all the fights with his earthbending so the house takes home most of the betting money. Varian threatens to tell everyone about it unless Hugo teaches "his sister" earthbending.

When Hugo realizes Raps is the avatar, he immediately says no. He does petty hustles, he doesn't do WAR CRIMES. Don encourages/forces him to travel with them anyway because think of the money the Fire Lord would give us if we turned over the Avatar!!

The journey goes on like the show. I imagine The Crossroad of Destiny is when Hugo does his "betrayal" and leads Cass straight to Raps. Varian gets taken by Fire Nation soldiers since Cass knows he can build weapons and forces him to build war machines. The gang is split up, Raps is so injured she's basically dead, Varian is kidnapped, Eugene isn't sure what to do, and Hugo is in Turmoil since he's horribly in love with that little water tribe shit and this is all his fault.

Hugo finds Eugene and Raps hiding out in the southern air temple. He's like hey ik you hate me but lets do a jailbreak a la the Boiling Rock to get Varian back. At this point Cass has also had her doubts about Gothel since mother doesn't really care about her or give her any love now that she's found/killed the Avatar. Maybe Rapunzel had been right all along and Cass can make her own destiny.

this song holds a special place in amanda’s heart for many different reasons

it's the first song she every compose/produce fully on her own

it’s the first time she really spoke out to the public about her inner struggles with her mental health

it was also the first time she ever rap & ofc she KILLED IT

upon listening to the song, the melody is upbeat, fun and catchy but if you listen to the lyrics you notice it has a much deeper hidden meaning to it

similar to how she used masked her sadness with a smile

the lyrics express the feeling of putting so much effort into something but inevitably nothing ends up being achieved, making frustration buildup inside us and becoming overall exhausted. so you just want to run away and escape from it all

she wrote these lyrics thinking about all the time she had put into what others thought of her, tirelessly trying to be perfect for others even though it was always useless and how she just wanted to disappear from the criticizing world

as the baby elephants goes on this adventure, it's see different places and meets different unique creatures (8 specifically ;))

the two ended up crying together, eating fried chicken and had some deep conversation that night

This is FNF!Sprite, one of my oldest AU versions of Sprite, my sona. I don't really do much with them lmao they just sorta exist. The only other characters I have in this AU are FNF!Solar and Wysp, who are Sprite's best friends who teach them how to rap battle and have fun while doing so.

This is Sprite from Lunatics AU, where they have the (not optional) ability to transform into a feral monster whenever the moon rises. It's kind of like being a werewolf, except there are no full-moon gimmicks or anything like that.

One story eventually sprouted into two separate stories that were sequential??? So I'm trying to structure the story so that we learn about both stories at once if you were to put it down on paper. If I ever put it down on paper. Let's see where it goes!

That's where the cool armor on Sprite's right half comes from. This drawing was concept- and lore-based and I kinda just did it on a whim. It's a combination of their old outfit, the cool robot armor, and a more battle-scarred version of their old outfit. They do have a prosthetic right arm though!

Fun fact: Lunatics AU was inspired by Metroid Dread. I know, crazy. But the armor says it all XD I should post more drawings of them in full armor.

Why's it called Demon AU then? Well, said college sophomore decided it would be a great idea to summon a demon with orange acrylic paint, supermarket birthday candles, and a dead mouse he found in his dorm the other day. I think you know who the summoned demon is.

BLIZZARD WHY IS THE OUTSIDER'S MARK ON HIS SHIRT?? That's because my Assassin AU was inspired by Dishonored! Might as well stick a reference to one of my favorite video games of all time on one of my favorite OCs I've ever created!

Assassin!Sprite or AS!Sprite here is a little bit like Corvo Attano in that she is also a skillful assassin with supernatural powers. The powers themselves are different and the world is a whole lot different, but yeah it sorta tracks!

One running gag I've been playing with is that Sprite doesn't understand what "casual wear" is. Since he's out on the field all the time and was raised to be on the field all the time, he's pretty much used to wearing heavy cloaks and assassin gear, even while resting or asleep. Hence, an outfit you will never see again because this is just a one time thing lmao

This is probably my most developed Sprite AU though. I have a lot more details worked out about the characters here than anywhere else and I'm so very proud of it.

In this AU, which I've recently begun fleshing out a little bit more, a poisonous gas descends upon a random patch of land - could be the middle of nowhere, or a settlement, or a fortified city - and anyone in that area who's not protected can be considered dead. Except for Sprite, who is immune. I'm still ironing out the details but that's sort of the basic gist of it.

Batfam musical headcanons

Dick:

instrument wise? Nothing, the man couldn’t tap out a tune on the piano if his life depended on it but boy that doesn’t stop him from trying

Sometimes the more musically inclined of the family will try to teach him a simple tune or beat to play in the background of a musical video they’re recording, but he’ll always forget the notes in 5 seconds and just improv when he feels it, it always sounds terrible but he’s having a blast 

Can sing though. Oh man can he sing

Doesn’t mean he sings anything other than Disney Princess songs tho 

If you were to ask me for a voice reference, I’d say Thomas Sanders

He has quite a wide vocal range but he’s better on higher notes

He sings quietly or under his breath most of the time, but then he’ll get to a line he’s confident on and he’ll belt it out at full volume

Sometimes a random line will ring out across the manor and it will 100% be Dick’s voice singing I Can Go The Distance from Hercules 

Doesn’t remember half the lyrics 

This still doesn’t stop him 

Remember that scene at the start of Spiderverse where Miles is singing ‘Sunflower’, but only knows half the words, muttering the rest and getting REALLY into the parts he knows? Yeh that’s Dick

He claims he has never and will never sing in front of anyone, but sometimes when he’s in a rare good mood, he’ll mess around with his siblings in the music room and end up singing sea shanties with Tim and Dick (and sometimes Duke if he’s not too shy)

Sings exclusively Hamilton, but his real talent in singing isn’t in the rapping area he just loves that musical

One day Dick and Jason tease Duke out his shell enough to preform this with them

Would sing to himself in his safe houses and while ripping down the road on his motorcycle at top speeds

Not much of an instrument guy, but could tap out a piano tune or a drum beat if someone needed it

Keyword here being *could* bc he CAN but he WON’T

Even if someone managed to loop him into doing a backing beat for a tiktok or smthn he most definitely wouldn’t remember how to do it 30 minutes later

He claims his mind is too crammed with actually important information to remember a dumb piano tune for more than 10 minutes 

Tim:

Can carry a tune, but prefers the instrumental side of music 

He’s a tenor and sings higher than Dick, but Dick has a wider vocal range and if he wanted to, Dick could hit high notes Tim couldn’t dream of. Tim just doesn’t have the same range

But he’s fantastic at instruments 

He plays a wide range due to his private lessons back at Drake Manor, including but not limited to: Piano, saxophone, drums, cello, clarinet, acoustic guitar, trombone and the triangle 

Can Timothy Drake play incredibly difficult classical pieces on almost any instrument with ease and move the listeners to tears? Yes. Will he? No. Because the only tunes you will ever catch Timothy Drake playing is exclusively meme music

If it’s a sound on TikTok, this child can play it double time guaranteed

I’m talking the Mii theme, the Subway Surfers theme, Axel F, Wet Hands, you name it

K I lied he sometimes plays fantastic renditions of pop songs or movie scores

His acc has a great following bc has such a vast variety of content and its all peak. It ranges from music to music memes to family shenanigans to academic memes to whatever was in his mind that day

He has a sparse posting schedule but when he does post its always worth the wait

Tim will 100% play saxophone on top volume outside Damian’s bedroom when the kid is annoying him

Sometimes Jason joins in but he plays his chosen instrument horrifically just to annoy Damian more

Instruments on the other hand,,,,

Damian does his little “*tt* I don’t care for the music, I play because it quickens reaction time and helps improve my memory and hand-eye coordination” and everyone’s just “sure Dami, thats why you were playing Merry-Go-Round of Life on repeat at 4am”

He likes orchestral and classical music, he’ll often play the song over the speakers in the music room and play along on his chosen instrument

He considers that genre more impressive for a musician instead of the pop rubbish Tim plays

He was taught violin by his mother back in Nanda Parbat, and it’s still his go-to favourite instrument, but he’s been teaching himself every other instrument in the music room

He uses music as a release, because he’s finally starting to get that violence isn’t always the acceptable release like it was back in the League and Dick and Bruce are so happy to see him start to understand this and get hobbies that aren’t related to work

When he gets older his taste in music expands to more electric guitar and drum heavy songs, but right now he’s still a bratty rich child and not an angsty teen

Jason is the one who introduced teen Damian to TØP, MCR, P!ATD and BMTH and now they jam together at excruciating volumes, screaming lyrics and wildly strumming on bass and electric guitar and banging on the drums and everyone would gladly slap Jason if not for the soundproof walls in the music room

Bruce:

Bruce used to be classically trained in a few instruments but he just didn’t care enough to continue them into his teen years so he just kinda forgot them

He regrets it now, seeing all his talented kids bonding over music and thinking that it probably would be been better for him to have a hobby when he was younger 

On one rare night he has the manor to himself, so he sits down at one of his grand pianos and tries to remember one of the tunes he was taught. Alfred hears his woeful attempts and starts to teach him some easy tunes

They do this every time they have the manor to themselves 

Bruce finally masters a song and he’s really pleased with himself Alfred is just so proud of his son,,,,

jehan/grantaire modern era hcs:

-grantaire gets stuck on enjolras for a really long time and when he comes to terms with the fact that it just isn't ever gonna happen, it genuinely breaks his heart and he falls into a funk over it for a while

-jehan is better friends with enj but he knows that grantaire isn't really dealing with any of this well and goes to befriend him too because he's been there and sometimes you just need some help and motivation to move on

-they weirdly get along really well. jehan listens to grantaire and just lets him vent about how heartbroken he is without trying to sneak in advice unless grantaire directly asks him for it. he lets grantaire talk and feel like he's not crazy or overdramatic and that really helps to feel understood

-jehan likes art and likes listening to grantaire talk about art and they have a lot of hang seshes of doodling each other. grantaire is an animator and has a lot of random jehan cartoons around his apartment. jehan has more of a realistic style and has some pretty candid portraits of grantaire

-they also like to go to galleries together and do weird things like go to a skate park despite being older than the main demographic and neither knowing how to skate. jehan takes grantaire to his rap scene and teaches him about rap culture and they do a lot of things on a whim, like taking a train to the south of france for a day or spending a weekend in amsterdam or just going to a zumba class for fun.

-they're very touchy with each other and neither are sure if it means something else

-at jehan's grad party they both get pretty high which turns into playing monopoly and grantaire is about to go bankrupt and jehan says he'll loan him money for a kiss, sort of as a joke, but grantaire does it anyway and takes a big bill from his pile. they don't really talk about it afterwards

-then the next year on new years eve, they're sorta hangin out at a party and grantaire asks if he has a new years kiss lined up and jehan jokes that his invitations probably got lost in the mail and grantaire jokes back that his got sent to a gulag and jehan isn't sure if that's an offer or not, he laughs anyway and takes a sip of his drink before grantaire pretty much just outright says "i'm taking volunteers if you're not busy" and jehan isn't expecting it and he's so surprised that his drink comes out of his nose and they're too busy laughing so they miss the countdown. but they sneak some kisses into the new year anyway (even if jehan's sinuses are burning)

-this time they actually talk about it and it leads us to two years into them being together

-they're both just fucking weirdos. they'll watch youtube essays together on jehan's tv and eat from a jar of almond butter with their own spoons. it's honestly the dream tbh

-jehan brings grantaire stuff like a bird. at the end of the day he comes home with pockets full of shiny pens and bottle caps and stickers and cool rocks or leaves. grantaire likes to joke that he's bringing supplies to build a nest

-grantaire keeps all of it, too. he has a shoebox filled with the little things jehan brings him

-grantaire likes to wear jehan's stuff bc jehan's clothes always smell nicer than his own. this is partly bc grantaire does laundry like once a month if he's in a good mood and has bad habits with showering, but also because jehan uses this cologne that smells like oak and orange and it makes grantaire very happy to smell like his bf

-grantaire is also horrifically insecure but he's very vocal about it and kind of does it for attention on days where he's annoyed. he'll get aggravated with jehan and be like "i don't even know why you're with me im ugly and useless and you shouldn't even want to touch me you should be with someone else" and he knows for a fact that jehan hates it when he says stuff like that because it's really heartbreaking to hear that sort of thing from your partner. because jehan knows he's doing it to get a reaction, his defense mechanism is putting his hands over his ears and yell-singing all of me by john legend until grantaire shuts the fuck up and tells jehan what's actually bothering him

-usually he's just cranky bc his stomach hurts. that, jehan can certainly resolve

-anyway they both also like to get high together. they r the kings of shotgunning smoke into each other's mouths. grantaire likes to curl on top of jehan bc jehan is very solid and also very soft and listen to his heartbeat as jehan hums to whatever song is playing on their record player

-and yes they have a record player in their apartment and two crates full of vinyls. they like to go together to vinyl shops and pick out sad, lonely looking vinyls that no one else will buy. bc of that, they have a very peculiar music selection

-jehan also keeps enough houseplants to make their apartment look like an exhibit from jurassic park. grantaire likes to help, but he knows nothing about horticulture, so jehan gave him a designated plant to take care of. it's plastic, but grantaire thinks it's real and waters it every day and makes sure that it's in the sun

-they're also both picky eaters. neither of them will touch pickles or a lot of veggies god bless. it's joly's mission to figure out a way to get them to eat certain foods

-grantaire warms up to jehan's rats eventually. it took him a year to get comfortable holding a rat and after that, it gets pretty easy. he doesn't feel horrified coming home to seeing jehan chillin on the couch with three rats on his shoulders

-after year two he gets attached to the rats. on their birthday, he buys them little treats and toys and such. rats are just little dudes! it just took him a while to stop associating them with the rats in the paris metro stations

-jehan likes to paint grantaire's nails on sundays and listen to him talk. it's therapeutic for them both

-both of them often feel weird out in public and in other spaces, but being around each other is so comforting because they don't feel weird when they're together. being able to talk and laugh and joke makes them feel understood and that's a really important aspect of their relationship to either of them. they understand each other's weirdness

-jehan also convinces grantaire to get frosted tips. i don't really need to delve further into this event but it does happen.
