Mycroft: I haven't seen John and Sherlock for fifteen minutes now.
Outside a nearby window, a car without a driver inside is seen rolling down a driveway, with John and Sherlock running after it in a panic. Mycroft doesn't look outside at all.
Mycroft: That probably means they're getting into trouble.
I like to think about rdj!Watson and bbc!John a lot
Like John, rdj!Watson has a lot of internal conflicts. The difference is in their mental state. John has episodes of depression from time to time, he is closeted, he has trouble expressing his anger in a healthy way, and tries to solve everything inside himself, without really talking them out. The image of him in people's eyes is painfully important to him, because he has always had to take care of his reputation, in front of his family as well as society.
However, it is not possible to tell whether rdj!Watson is in a better or worse state, but he certainly knows how to express his anger. He tries to set priorities and act according to them, but his feelings about Holmes and the relationship they have are dangerously confusing. He can't actually decide with confidence, or he thinks so.
They both try to escape their emotions and maybe abandon them, but obviously this is not quite possible. However, in most of critical situations they make the right decision; prioritizing Sherlock Holmes over other things - everything.
Their Sherlocks are different, and so they are, but not everything is different for them. After all, the core from which the characters of both is originated also felt the same feelings, the same love.
Fun Fact: in one month (1/1/23), all Sherlock Holmes stories hit the public domain and the Conan Doyle Estate can't do shit! I say this for absolutely no reason but also congrats in advance to the happy couple.
I started this year making a meme about John Green being back and I thought that would be the wildest thing to happen this year... Clearly I was wrong. I feel like the universe is just confused about what year it is... I'm in my mid 20s now and I don't need to be going through this again.

Sherlock wearing a kimono, amongst other works. I explained this precise head canon of mine in this video HERE. (Note: Drawing n°2 was the first version of Drawing n°1, that's why I used the same reference picture for the head)
