if House functions better on the drugs doesn’t that indicate he needs them? This is rhetorical the answer is obviously yes that’s literally the metric we use for all other medications except pain meds. Because they’d rather blame the patient than the pharmaceutical companies that lie to doctors to make a quicker buck. The patients are always the ones who suffer in the end but who cares when the shareholders are thriving.

Technically the Richmond coaches had two chances to move Jamie to center and then didn’t take it: once when Zava showed up and once when they switched everyone at practice.
Both times they assumed he wouldn’t do it
At the very least we know he was willing to do it the second time (he even asked if they meant to give him the same position), but honestly? The Jamie who came to them worried about the effect of Zava on the team might’ve done it too. He is well on board with being a team player at that point, which he also demonstrated many times in season two. He probably would’ve been hurt by it, but he would’ve agreed to do it
(Then we could’ve had a whole season deconstructing how Jamie conflates scoring with winning with value in a way that really isn’t healthy but I digress)
For the record I don’t think this would have fixed anything. They probably would’ve figured out how effective Jamie is in midfield sooner, but they still would’ve had Zava, and after Zava there would’ve been the tension of whether to keep Jamie where he was or have him step back up to striker, especially since they weren’t doing total football yet. In a lot of ways, having Jamie step up and volunteer for it later really sidesteps a lot of drama
I’m more so lamenting the fact that with Jamie, when it came to ‘be curious not judgmental, they chose to remain judgmental of his past behavior instead of curious about his new ones.

does anyone else still wonder about marcus' place in the whole review (s1e07) equation? like whyyyy was he so obsessed with perfecting a donut? it always bothered me.
sometimes i chalk it up to it being comedic relief but when carmy put his hands on him and he quit, it felt deeper than just a joke about how into donuts he was. i sympathize with him being so excited about this newfound love but it also feels too shallow for me to extend as much sympathy as i do with other characters in that episode who fucked up.
like when you think about sydney, carmy and richie and their place in how that mess started. the whole season led to this episode, and this explosion was bound to happen in some capacity because there was too much history, personalities and motivations going against each other.
for sydney, who represents a radical change. she wants the restaurant to be great. She's ambitious, a leader and creative. but like sheridan road sometimes it can get too much and blow up in her face. which kind of creates this loop of making everything the "thing". etc etc.
richie represents being firm in the past. like yes richie was a raging asshole to syd and carm but with prespective the audience is meant to sympathize with him trying to hold onto the last thing he can, bc everything is changing around him too fast (dead best friend, divorce, co-parenting).
carmy is right in the middle. he wants to fix his brother's restaurant. to fix is to make something better. to change it. he used the Beef to fix his relationship with his brother when that's impossible. hes holding onto the past bc he thinks he can change it somehow.
so with all those factors + ego + the fact that all 3 of them are pretty angry ppl = the review. richie gets stabbed. carmy rages. and syd quits.
but where does marcus fit? the show has never given us a reason as to why exactly he has such an emotional attachment to the donuts that he went into his own little world as every thing was going to shit. i felt like s2 gave a really good opportunity to explore that when he went to coppenhagen but they didnt. or maybe i missed it idk.

I love that every episode of leverage can basically be boiled down to a group of friends saying “let’s go gaslight a rich person”.

Ok I'm gonna be honest I saw some mild spoilers about Glass Onion, specifically including that Benoit was gay, and I thought that was just a fandom well understood "should've been this way" kinda thing
But no
He really is gay. And in a relationship with a char played by Hugh Grant. Living together in the cutest fanciest little apartment.
It makes so much sense. I still didn't see it coming that it would ever be explicitly shown. These movies are so good, I'll happily watch them forever.
