how the marauders drive a car:

remus: obviously holding the wheel with his left hand only and the other on his or sirius' thigh. he drives with music but only allows his own playlist and no-one else's, claiming "driver's rights"

james: right hand on the wheel at 2 o'clock and the left arm against the window. taylor swift and indie pop playing as loud as possible and nodding along with it. as the flash mcqueen variant he is, he would sometimes make these crazy acceleration when everyone is in the car to piss them off

sirius: bold of you to assume sirius is allowed to drive a car. he only drives his motorcycle and doesn't get "why should he learn to drive a car when he can take remus behind him on his motorbike"

peter: definitely drives an automatic car and didn't want to bother learn manual shift. hands in 10-10 position with the music depending on who he's driving with but it's always good vibes

so i’ve been reading ATYD sirius perspective out loud on tiktok lives for the last few weeks, as part of our Siriusly Dead Poets Society club and tonight we read the chapters where Remus “comes out” in cornwall and i have MANY EMOTIONS.

firstly, it’s such a beautiful moment. like, really. it’s so innocent and meaningful and simple yet complicated. and secondly, it’s so accepting.

and i think maybe, that’s my favourite part of the marauders. how open and embracing and accepting everyone is. i think often, in fiction, we don’t get a massive amount of positive queer coming out stories. and every now and then, we get one like this. and i think it heals a little bit of so many of us that we don’t realise is hurting. an open wound we don’t necessarily feel until it’s closed over.

these stories where queer people face adversity in their identities are so important. but the ones that have happy moments. the ones where just for a change, it goes well when they share their Big Truth. they’re so often overlooked, which is a shame, because personally, i think they mean the world. they mean everything.

i’m having a lovely time slowly discovering these tales. and an even lovelier time getting to experience them with people who share the same heart.

Did you read sirius' pov and would you recommend it to people who do not want their hearts broken?

i read most of it, the last part of sirius pov i read was the second war chapter. i enjoyed it and i did not cry at all while i read it but also the hogwarts chapters are pretty easy to get through.. i think once it starts getting sad it will be heartbreaking 😭 idk if im going to finish it i cant go through atyd again

as a sirius kinnie i have a hard time finding a sirius pov wolfstar fic, thats not canon complaint and makes every traumatic event sirius goes through as if nothing happened, like bitch he just run away from his house he’s not gonna be happy the next day? he’s not gonna tell everyone he’s gay.

why does everyone make sirius as a bad guy? he’s just a boy with a fucked up childhood, why can’t i read that?
