To be clear, I goddamn hated the finale on first watch. I was withering in my seat. My heart had dropped to my stomach. I had no fucking idea what I was watching in that final scene lmao
and then Adrien said "when Ladybug gave me the rings—" and I was like— wait. LADYBUG? LADYBUG STILL EXISTS?
I THOUGHT THE ENTIRE TIMELINE HAD BEEN REWRITTEN 😭😭😭😭 I THOUGHT LADYBUG AND CHATN OIR DIDNT UFCKING EXIST uNTIL ADRIEN SAID THAT I WAS SO SO SO SCARED
and then I realized, oh wait. This isn't a complete utopian timeline rewrite. This is just a timeskip of a few months and Mme Bustier is just a kickass mayor. In fact, she's only mayor BECAUSE it's still the same timeline. And then I realized, hey, wait, if they didn't rewrite the timeline, then how tf is Emilie casually there with no questions?
And then I realized she was wearing black. And Félix was there. And I remembered Amelie exists.
Basically, I went into the finale chanting to myself "it's okay, it's okay... they probably wont bring Emilie back... they probably won't rewrite the entire timeline permanently.... right? please....", even though I didn't actually expect it to happen, but just because I was terrified that it could. And apparently that fear actually got to me so much that I misinterpreted the episode as being everything I didn't want it to be... when... it actually wasn't that at all
anyway, all of this is to say, everything in the episode happens so fast that it confused and terrified me at first. And when I realized what had happened, my opinion went from "my year is ruined" to "oh. well. okay. kind of disappointing, I guess". And then I kept thinking about it, and the ending, and all that is set up and rewatching the scenes and all the loose ends still in place and.... i realized I loved it?
like, every time I think about this finale, I love it more. every time i rewatch a scene, I get a little obsessed. this episode went from my nightmare to actually really really cool to me, and I'm still kind of reeling from it
Basically, this is why I've been kind of passionately defending the finale— not because I think people who don't like it are """dumb""" or anything, I don't blame people at all for that, and I totally get the confusion. I was confused too. And I know I'm not the only one who went in preparing themselves for the worst, or went in with very specific expectation on what will happen, because this finale has been long awaited for so long. I think everyone was shocked with how it ended. I think most people probably startled at Amelie's face (it's so easy to forget she exists....)
Anyways, I started this post basically as an apology for if I seem too aggressive or defensive about the finale. Because I get it! I get hating it! I get being disappointed or frustrated or confused! Part of why I'm so defensive is because I have all the arguments so ready on the tip of my tongue because I had the very same argument with myself already 😭 So I'm sorry if any of my posts came off as too aggressive and in advance for any future posts that might. I promise promise promise I'm not trying to make anyone feel bad for having bad opinions on the finale! I just think this episode is really cool and the fact I related to a lot of the nay-sayers makes it easy to feel so impassioned about it.
But this post is getting off the rails and I'm just gonna let it, because some of my regrets w my participation in fandom is that I find myself chickening out of actually talking about my thoughts on episodes a lot. I get kind of overwhelmed and overthink everything after I've posted it and I'm a shy person. But my inbox is closed and this is the season 5 finale and I want to ramble and ramble so I will allow myself this
Basically, I went in with some very specific expectations for this episode. We all know about the Hawkmoth defeat story. Many of us have read it in fics over and over again, it was teased in Chat Blanc, we all know what we expect, we all know our favorite beats from it.
And what actually happened....... met virtually none of those beats. (For me, at least).
Like, Adrien wasn't there for the final episode. At all. He was completely absent from the confrontation. He never found out his father was Hawkmoth. He got his rings, but he never found out he was a sentimonster. He is living in the dark.
Ladybug confronted Monarch... alone. Which is sad, when so much of the series is dedicated to the partnership of her and Chat Noir. Them against the world....... and Monarch was "defeated" with nary a Chat Noir in sight.
The whole entire "Gabriel is known as a hero" thing. I don't think anybody was expecting that. Absolutely shocking.
The fact Marinette would lie to Adrien like that. The fact she's keeping so much from him. The fact everyone is. SO MANY people in Adrien's life (Marinette, Plagg, Nathalie, Felix, Amelie, Kagami, probably Alya, maybe more I'm not thinking of....) are just... lying to him, now. He is so in the dark. He knows nothing.
But.........
I kind of like that I didn't predict nearly any of this. I like that it caught me off guard. I love how this show just completely baffles me at every turn, how it will present concepts and ideas to me that I've never read a fic about.
In retrospect, Chat Noir being absent from the final battle... makes sense. It actually makes a lot of sense, if I think about it, because... there is only one possible way that could've gone, right? Chat Noir would not be allowed to have the emotional implosion that he would have to have. This is devastating. This is SO devastating. This is the entire shattering of Adrien's entire world we're talking about, and Chat Blanc is the only real way for that to end. Adrien has an emotional implosion in front of Monarch, he gets akumatized, it turns into an emotion explosion, extinction event. The end. We've already seen it.
And........ even if it didn't end that way, even if he managed to avoid akumatization...... how could the finale satisfyingly end on that note? How could it end in any semblance of a "wrapped up" way, at the very start of Adrien's emotional breakdown? It couldn't. I wouldn't WANT it to. In retrospect, Adrien finding out his dad is Monarch and then.... what? The season ends on a close-up of him crying? The season ends with a time-skip to the new school year where they skipped his entire grieving period!? I would HATE that, actually. I would hate that. I thought I wanted it, but I would hate it. I would hate it so so so much.
What's kind of amazing is that the finale ended with Monarch being defeated.... but Adrien still has those realizations to make. He still has those betrayals to come to terms with. There is time for him to make these realizations, for him to come to these conclusions, perhaps one at a time, perhaps in a more controlled environment.... and that gets me far, far more excited for the seasons to come than an episode that tried to wrap it all up in the last 5 minutes.
Also, the reason Adrien didn't go to the final battle was because he feared becoming Chat Blanc. He didn't know the truth to it, didn't understand that literally, yes, that's what would have happened if he was there, even if he hadn't been under a nightmare curse. But he still knew. He still expected it. He willingly chose to sit it out, no matter how much he hated it, because he knew. And there's something kind of powerful to that, I think, of Adrien making a choice that is so unequivocally the Correct choice, even more than he realized. And the strength it took for him to make that decision...... damn.
As for the lies and the Gabriel statue? I... it's upsetting, but it's supposed to be. And I believe it. I absolutely believe it. I 10000% believe Marinette would keep the secret of Monarch's identity to herself to try to save Adrien the pain. I 10000% believe that the population could easily be led to believe a famous billionaire is a hero. I 10000% believe that Adrien would WANT to believe it. I 10000% believe Tomoe would take advantage of it.
And I can't wait to see that illusion crumble.
Also.... this is the beginning of The Lila arc.
And the Lila arc begins on........ Marinette telling the biggest, boldest face lie she ever told. The Lila arc begins on the most extreme city-wide illusion we've ever seen. It begins on such a huge fabrication and....
..... it's Marinette's lie.
............ and Lila knows that it's a lie.
I'm
!!?!?!?!
This is so fucking cool???? The irony here??? the deceit???? All these loose ends, all the possible confrontations, all the ways this could GO. I don't know where the show is taking this, obviously, because nobody ever can predict where this show is going apparently (and I love it for that), but oh my god. I'm imagining all the fics I could read about this. all the fics I could write. all the thoughts and scenarios that this finale has provided me with to daydream about as I go to sleep.
Adrien, going through the motions of life. Looking up to his father as a hero, despite the fact the last time he saw him, Adrien was sobbing, in tears, and cursing his name. Adrien, after all the abuse he was subject to, having to look up at a statue of his father and...... be forced to think that maybe he was wrong about his father. But he's not wrong. He WASN'T wrong. He just THINKS that he is. His father is going to continue to loom over his life in ways I never expected post-hawkmoth. Adrien's relationship with Gabriel has not ended, a new and terrifying and horrible new chapter of it has simply begun, and Adrien is still as manipulated by his father's ghost as he was by his father himself.
THAT'S. WILD!!!
also, Adrien now believes that MONARCH MURDERED HIS FATHER. Chat Noir now believes that his greatest nemesis KILLED HIS FATHER. CHAT NOIR, resident self-sacrificer, believes that HIS FATHER was a HERO who DIED FIGHTING MONARCH. Adrien thinks that maybe he should be more like his father— more like his father who died in battle. This is. Not Good. For Adrien.
And it's Marinette that started this. Well intentioned Marinette, who doesn't really understand the extent of the horrors. Marinette, Adrien's girlfriend, the person he trusts most. She did this.
And, I mean.... god. I totally get how this sucks for a lot of people, because it's objectively upsetting.... but I LOVE lovesquare tension. Season 4 is probably my favorite season for that reason alone (still mulling over if season 5 beat it for me). I love the relationship drama, I love that it's in character drama, I love how it fits everything we know about them sososo well, I love that it's horrible and it's terrible and it's awful and it's all because Marinette loved Adrien too much to want to hurt him.
I was worried no reveal would mean that season 6 would just be... what? adrienette fluff? not that I don't love that, but where's the drama? well. there it is. that's the drama.
I need to stop typing this. I know this is abysmally long and ranty and if you read all of this then I'm sorry. But I wanted to get some of my thoughts out.
But basically, I was expecting a lot of things for the finale.
In my best case scenario, it would somehow, miraculously tie up and address all the loose ends with Adrien's angst and character arc in two episodes.... and then end with me totally satisfied, ready to only half-heartedly watch season 6 like it was just a small dessert after the main course.
And I already described my worst case scenario (my first impression of the episode lmao)
But it wasn't that. I was expecting a series finale, but I got a season finale. And I love season finales. I love how they keep me wanting more. I love how excited I am for season 6, because in both my best and worst case scenarios, I honestly didn't expect to be. I love all the new ideas and thoughts and scenarios swirling around in my brain. And even if season 6 doesn't address some of the things I want addressed, I'm so excited to see the creative content in this fandom that DOES

I never come on here, but I wanted to discuss something since I've seen a couple of salt posts discussing Adrien's "sudden" shift of feelings towards Marinette in season 5, and I don't think some of you are understanding the whole lovesquare arc. Adrien has ALWAYS loved Marinette, ever since the umbrella scene. His feelings gradually grew more and more, but since he had already taken interest in Ladybug, he suppressed those feelings. This was the whole point of the "just a friend" phase. It was DENIAL, not genuine disinterest. If you go back and rewatch the show from the beginning, you'd notice that Adrien unconsciously behaves in a way that makes his crush on Marinette obvious. Ex:
Feeling uncomfortable kissing Chloé in season 1, but feeling perfectly comfortable with Marinette.
Tumblr media
The constant heart eyes we got throughout the show.
Tumblr media
He carries her lucky charm with him all the time, and he even made a gift especially for her
Tumblr media
He called her his "everyday Ladybug", which we all know how much that means coming from him.
Tumblr media
Effortlessly dancing romantically with her, TWICE.
Tumblr media
Etc, etc. Keeping all that in mind, what happened in Puppeteer 2 isn't when he started DEVELOPING feelings, it's when he started REALIZING those feelings. He said it himself, the way he reacted to her going ahead and kissing him shocked him. Not to mention that in Chat Blanc, he straight up told her in his confession that he had always felt this way, he just didn't understand what he felt.
Tumblr media
All their interactions thus far had Marinette somehow friendzone their encounters, so Adrien never had the chance to think about his own feelings, except in Weredad, but he was too preoccupied with his intense feelings for Ladybug to notice. And it's because of that, that after Marinette kissed him, he started noticing the similarities between her and Ladybug, causing his feelings to grow even further.
"You remind me of the girl I love."
Tumblr media
Then, he started paying more attention to her, and noticed how she always cheers him up and makes him laugh, and is always there for him when he needs her.
Tumblr media
Finally, we reach the season 4 finale, and he realizes that Marinette truly understands him for who he is, not the image he kept up, and it's THEN that he fully realizes there is something there, but he is too confused to know for sure, which is directly supported by his confession in Chat Blanc.
Tumblr media
That is when Determination comes into play, and Adrien finally realizes what the butterflies in his stomach meant this entire time. This is also why that every time he discovers Marinette is Ladybug, he is instantly relieved and overwhelmed with joy, because that makes the two people he loves the most one person, and there is no more dilemma in his heart.
Tumblr media
So this is it, a summary of Adrien's development of his feelings towards Marinette, which also explains why it's so sincere from his end. It's not sudden for sure. Yeah, it could have been written a lot better, but what do we expect from MLB writers anyway? If you've made it this far, thank you for reading, and let me know what you think.

Okay, just, hear me out
Y'know how Gabriel is, like, dying and all that? (Don't hate on me if this as changed, I'm super not caught up.) So, what if he does die.
Ladybug and Chat Noir are super confused, heck, all of Paris is, cuz Monarch has been completely silent.
Adrien is, of course, super depressed and upset, and his friends mourn with him.
Ladybug gets a message, somehow, from Natalie, asking to talk to her and Chat privately. They meet up, and she tells them everything, including the fact that she is dying. She doesn't want anybody else to go through what they have.
Ladybug, though devastated due to what this means for Adrien, the love of her life, is also ecstatic to have the miraculous back, and is so distracted by reuniting with the Kwamis that she misses what Chat says. But Natalie doesn't.
I don't know what he'd say, maybe, "I can't believe my dad would do this" or "how could I have missed this" or "I can't believe you guys lied to me" (maybe even, "my dad tried to kill me?"). Honestly it doesn't matter.
Whatever he says, Natalie is smart. Yeah, she's made mistakes, but she's smart. Even if it takes her a second to figure it out, and another second or two in order to account for shock and the realization of what she did to the boy she has considered to be something like a son, she gets there, and fully breaks down.
She can't stop apologizing. Chat/Adrien, despite everything that has happened, comes to her side, and wraps her in a big hug, and comforts her. He's still upset, angry even, but he will stay by her side. Eventually, he'll understand why they did what they did. But for now, he's going to do everything he can to fix this as best as he can. For Natalie and his mother.
*
Ladybug is also smart. But she can't figure out why Chat is so determined to figure out how to fix the peacock miraculous. I mean, sure, it's important, it's their best chance of saving Natalie and Emilie, but he doesn't seem to be doing it out of a sense of urgency. Instead, he seems to be absolutely desperate. She's seen Chat face monsters, seen him as a monster himself, yet this is the worst she's seen him. Though Monarch had been defeated, Chat Blanc returns to her nightmares.
Marinette notices Adrien's strange behavior as well. He's exhausted, and constantly on edge. It makes sense, his dad had just died, but there seemed to be more. He was rushing home as soon as he could, as often as he could. He was constantly reading books and was barely eating.
Finally, with Alya and the kwamis' help, she connects the dots. She feels terrible. She throws herself into the work just as much as Chat/Adrien has.
In the end, in the nick of time, they find a way to save Natalie and Emilie. Emilie is horrified at what her best friend and husband had done, yet wonders what she would have done in their place. Chat breaks down and detransforms the second he sees his mother. (Many hugs and tears amongst the four.) He doesn't even realize what he has done, and most certainly doesn't notice Ladybug turning into Marinette. After calming down, however, he too connects the dots. He stares at her, and she just smiles. He smiles right back.
Anyway, just a random thought I had in the tub after watching miraculous with my baby siblings
Have a good day, y'all

mark lee / angst prompt requested by @emvrd [see notes below!] 🎧 inspired by out like a light the honeysticks, ricky montgometry
-
“mark?”
“mmh?” he hummed.
“why’d you have to make it so difficult?”
mark slowly stopped eating his truffle. he put the fork down and grabbed the napkin. he wiped his mouth and reached for the glass. he may have mistaken the sauvignon blanc as water, but sure as hell he drowned it in one go.
“what do you mean?” he asked. you can see he’s pretending to be dumbfounded. you, on the other hand, could no longer pretend to keep up with his games.
“this, mark.” you pointed at the extravagant cuisines sitting in front of you.
all for you, mark thought. only for you.
“why? is it wrong to take an old friend out?” mark titled his chin a bit to the side, almost sounding so condescendingly. “just like old times?”
you stared at him, speechless. you looked straight into his eyes, searching for more answers. but he tears his gaze away, anywhere but at your face.
then mark poured your glass another drink, just the adequate amount. you reached for yours and waited for him to fill his. then much to your surprise, he poured his glass almost to the brim. chuckling, he carefully lifted the glass and took a sip, then a gulp, releasing an “ah!”; ever so satisfied with how the wine plays with his defenses.
silenced filled your table, only the people chatting around are audible in this fancy restaurant. he texted you earlier “the usual?”. and when it took you long enough to respond, he followed up:
unknown | 3:45pm
i’ll be waiting.
please?
and so you showed up where he first took you out on a date, and then the next, and the next appointments that kind of failed because he was not able to confirm the reservation but still, he managed to pull it through by tipping the waiter largely just to be the next person to be sitting on your usual table. now, everything feels like deja vu.
“you know what day it is today?” you broke the painful silence. neither one of you has barely talked during the course of the meal. you felt that both of you were carefully watching each other, on how you would react to this soiree mark had in mind.
and your question abruptly dropped earlier has made mark bite his lips; too careful on his next words until he decided that no longer speaking could do its best for now.
“lost track of time.” he mumbled.
“it’s the fourteenth.”
“really?” mark’s voice pretended to be shocked, but his face say otherwise. he kept twirling his truffle. every movement he makes your leg twitch. you felt nervous, almost suffocating.
you tapped your fingers on the table. mark looked unfazed. you did not notice that the once fully poured glass is now empty. just how much did he drink for only twenty minutes? why were you here? why specifically during this day-
you couldn’t handle it any longer.
so you hurriedly reached for your bag and brought out your wallet. you opened yours and mark saw bills landing at the center of the table. he watched your next move with wide eyes open.
“my share.” you said while standing up from your seat. “thanks for tonight, mark.”
“you…” you almost choked at your words, trying to suppress the tears that were about to fall down. “you take care of yourself for me, please?” you smiled. “i mean it, mark.” a chuckle left your lips. “don’t hurt yourself any longer, okay?”
and just like that, mark watched you leave him for the hundredth time.
you exited the restaurant.
you wait just in front. but fuck, it was fucking freezing.
needless to say the rain griefs with you. and you took it as a sign to cry and let your once whimpers be roaring cries as the thunders sing with you. but nothing could help you from aimlessly calling for cabs, only turned out to be occupied. you bit your fingernails to come back to your senses; you need a little touch to get you back on the ground.
just when you’re slowly going back to reality, you saw the door behind you open, and there he was, a bit stumbling yet standing beside you, staring at the rain that isn’t stopping at any time.
you watched mark open his palm and catch the raindrops with his hand. it lasted for a good couple of seconds. then he asked,
“you showed up.”
you didn’t answer.
“but i knew you weren’t going to show up”, he continued, almost faintly. “and fuck, i desperately hoped you weren’t.”
you were confused.
“then why the fuck did you text me?”
“because i was just going to prove to myself that you weren’t coming back.”
you looked at mark. he was wiping his tears away. “so don’t ask me why i’m the one who’s making it difficult.”
“oh, this is bullshit.” you sneered.
“i know.”
“but i’ll always show up for you, mark.”
“fuck.” mark ran his hand through his now damp hair. “see?!”
you chuckled. you don’t know why you find this amusing. he stared at you, trying to pick up what was going on.
“that’s what you get for fucking it up big time, markie.”
“guess i deserved that.”
“yeah…”
time slipped a little slowly. you enjoyed a familiar warmth standing beside you. it was just like one of those days where the two of you would sit on the porch of his grandmother’s house and just stare at the moon and wish for some little sparks to slip in between your daily mundanes. and while you stare at the rain, painting the entrance of skyscrapers with dampness, mark looked at you intently. he was holding himself back from saying that he still loves you. too early, he realized. and if he had to take these little steps for you to still show up, he would take the bit of demise;
you’re worth the wait and pain, after all.
then finally, a cab stopped for you. the rain slowly starting to die down.
“that’s me.”
you greeted the cab driver and told your whereabouts. but just when you opened the door, you heard mark saying “wait!” from behind.
you turned around, you eyes landed at his, waiting for his next words.
“i’ll see you again, right?” mark asked carefully. his eyes glimmered again with hope, but with so much concern. if he could dig the depths of the world to find answers on how he could take you back, he would. because a part of his will always be yours, even though by the time you’ve already decided to walk away from what he has done and what he will do—just anything to make you his love wholly again.
“i’ll see you again.” he repeated. but this time, with only much firmness. and he’s more than willing to tip off a large sum just to get you back seated on the table you and mark both shared; just like on this gloomy, yet supposed-to-be special day.
and you nodded.
but you were not sure if you did it obviously or if it was just all in your head. nevertheless, you said:
“happy anniversary, markie.”
- thank you, @emvrd, for requesting this! i enjoy writing about lingering old feelings. glad you're in the same department! i hope this is what you're going for. all the love!
prompt/request reveal by @emvrd!
Hello! You probably got tons of request but if you have the time.. please write something about "you're not mine anymore but im still a little bit yours" kinda trope with mark or hyuck hahaha i heard the lyrics in a song and i immediately remembered ur angst fics haha! Looking forward to it 😘

I don’t think Adrien is super oblivious
Tumblr media
I wrote about Adrien not being oblivious of Marinette’s feelings before, but I think just as a whole, he’s not as oblivious as you may think. Let me break down why.
1. It’s never been some big revelation to him that Marinette is Ladybug - who he likes as more than a friend
Think of all the “what if” episodes: Chat Blanc, Oblivio, and Ephemeral.
Something that happens in all of these episodes is Adrien realizing Marinette is Ladybug and being so happy with them being the same person.
Tumblr media
But notice how it isn’t some huge revelation to him. Like, he figures it out and is pretty much like “that makes sense. No wonder I love you.” He was never like “wow! I would’ve never guessed! I don’t know if I like Marinette like that.”
Those episodes aside, in Heroes’ Day Pt. 2, he accepts Marinette’s kiss and compliments her, calling her “their everyday Ladybug.” And, in Multiplication, he remembers the advice she had given him about confronting his father, and wastes no time calling her and telling her how special she is to him. It’s not even like Adrien told Plagg to shut up or defend himself when he said Adrien would be a fake if he thinks he doesn’t like Marinette romantically.
Tumblr media
Adrien definitely seems well aware that he likes Marinette, but he’s in denial because he’s infatuated with Ladybug. Plus, he says the one time, “besides, there’s Luka.”
He doesn’t know how to juggle having feelings for two “different” girls (he’s never had a crush on anyone prior to), but it’s never been a big shock to him when he figures out they’re the same person and that he loves them both.
2. He won’t open up to his father
Gabriel is abusive…also the sky is blue.
It seems a lot of the time that Adrien isn’t aware of how abusive his father is, and lets him manipulate him. But, I think he’s got some idea of this, honestly. He’s caught onto more in comparison to season one.
The biggest sign was in Glaciator 2. When Gabriel says he’s been distant ever since Emilie’s passing but Adrien can talk to him if he needs to, he’s unfazed by the reason he’s distant, says, “if I needed to, father, I would…” and then walks away.
Tumblr media
Adrien didn’t even want to talk to him, despite him offering. That says a lot right there.
Throughout every season, Gabriel doesn’t even bother to do things like eat dinner with him, take him to the movies, help him practice piano, etc. and it thoroughly disappoints Adrien.
Adrien also admits in Risk that his father is forcing him to be this “perfect” model but all he wants is to be his son. He doesn’t want to be a model. He just wants a good relationship with his father, and it’s a really good thing he realizes that.
The sad thing is that there’s a 99.9% chance not going to improve, considering he just created an AI version of Adrien, which he’ll be able to use to his advantage. Adrien realized something was very fucked up about that after he saw this version of himself.
Tumblr media
3. He never claimed to love Kagami
Okay. So, Adrien definitely had a bit of an attraction to Kagami originally, I’m not saying he didn’t. However, he never openly says he loves her or even tries to woo her like does with Ladybug. Adrien very obviously shows his feelings through his actions and behavior - keep this in mind.
There’s probably Adrien salters who think he lead Kagami on, but the truth of the matter is that he really didn’t. He wanted to try to be with her, but he never admitted having feelings for her and he consistently showed discomfort while they were together.
Tumblr media
Kagami caught onto this and saw the charm from Marinette he’s always carrying. She tried to make the relationship work, but she noticed problems (aside from just him lying to go run off on patrols), and dumped him for that. And Adrien didn’t try to fight her on that, so I feel like he knew he didn’t feel the same way and that the breakup needed to happen.
4. He keeps flirting with Ladybug despite her saying she likes someone else
Okay, okay. I’ve seen this being debated about in the fandom a lot. There’s people who think he’s being too pushy, to a point of assault. But, I don’t really feel that’s the case. Lemme explain.
Ladybug will sometimes flirt with him back. She’s kissed him a number of different times. Similar to him, she’s also in denial of having feelings for him and trying to sort out these romantic feelings she has for Cat Noir.
Cat Noir/Adrien definitely notices this seeing as how much he loves her, which is why he still flirts with her here and there. He sees there might still be a chance for him. Especially seeing how she’s kissed him a number of times, twice that he can’t even remember, he’s going insane trying to figure out how that happened in the first place.
Tumblr media
I think he should cut back, which honestly he has since the first season. If Ladybug directly tells him to stop, he does. It’s just a matter of him thinking she might just feel the same, and the episodes rebooting him flirting and Ladybug having a different reaction every time. (She also doesn’t get super uncomfortable and incredibly mad the way she did when Felix tried to kiss her).
Conclusion
Adrien isn’t completely clueless and oblivious. That’s that.

I'm curious and can't remember if you've talked about/been asked about this before, sorry if I'm asking you to repeat yourself, but what are your thoughts on the entire 'Catwalker' situation that happened in Kuro Neko? And how would you handle that plot yourself?
So I did go into Catwalker a little bit here, and that was mostly on the subject of Adrien's feelings and the fact that it's understandable that he'd do that. He didn't put anyone in danger because he returned the Miraculous, but it was what he thought was better for his mental health which is a good choice!
As for my criticisms and how I'd change it......
I think I'd just delete the 'Catwalker' part of the episode entirely. Like, hear me out for a second.
Adrien was tired and fed up with how Ladybug kept leaving him out and treating him like a replaceable tool.
Coming back as a new identity would put him in exactly the same position. Like /maybe/ he would assume that the problem was 'Chat' and not that LB is just.... very much not down for sharing. But what does 'Catwalker' do for helping Adrien get past this issue?
So just skip that.
Instead:
Another Akuma happens, and Marinette is forced to give the Black Cat to someone else because she can't figure out a permanent solution or how to get Chat back(since she can't talk this out.)
Maybe we get Alya as Alley Chat. Maybe we get Zoé as Kitty Noire. Maybe we get the Nino as Black Magic to counterpart Alya's Scarabella like we fucking deserve!!
Anyway! Who she picks really doesn't matter. But she has to get someone, because she needs a Black Cat. The fight goes off completely fine! It's great! No disasters! A little bumpy because the new Cat is inexperienced and LB's used to Chat, but perfectly fine and it could work even better with time!
And at first, this hurts Adrien. It proves his fears and insecurities right. He is replaceable. Anyone could use the Black Cat and save the day.
But something happens to cause.... basically the Ladrien version of Glaciator 2's Marichat. Maybe an Akuma is targeting Adrien so Ladybug and Alley/Kitty/Magic are playing bodyguard while waiting for the Akuma to show up.
During this, Ladybug opens up to Adrien. She doesn't spill /everything/ because 'he's a random civilian'. But she admits that she fucked up. That she was so scared of what would happen if she shared everything with Chat. That the idea that she has to keep everything secret and take on every burden is just so ingrained in her, especially after some incidents, that it fucked up everything. She loved Chat(platonically ofc) and she trusted him, but she didn't trust herself.
Adrien is, of course, shocked by this news. And to see her so distruaght. He asks about Alley/Kitty/Magic. Aren't they a suitable replcement?
Yes, they 'work'. But Ladybug doesn't care. She wants Chat back.
Adrien gives his honest advice on the situation: figure out a way to talk to Chat Noir. Tell him all those things she wanted to tell him. Resolve to work on those issues instead of shutting them down, but work on them together.
The rest of the Akuma stuff happens. Adrien gets to be helpful as himself yadda yadda.
Later, Marinette tells Plagg to go back to whoever Chat Noir is. Ask him to show up for just one last conversation with her. If he still wants to call it quits after that, at least let her say goodbye properly.
Ofc Chat does show up. And he's not sure what to expect on if LB took the advice or not. But she does. She explains as much as she can in one go. How scared she was. How she's the type to just deal with things all on her own and stubbornly refuse to ask for help or even let people help. She even tells him about Chat Blanc, how she doesn't know exactly what lead to that so even when she /did/ break and ask for help, she was too scared to choose him to tell because 'what if this leads to that'?
And despite all of this, she would rather risk that. Because she can't imagine a world without him by her side.
Chat's a bit thrown by the info dump, especially the Chat Blanc thing. But he's glad she told him. He's glad to hear how much he genuinely means to her(yes even as just a friend).
They resolve to work on this, and work on it together.

Nathalie didn't betray Adrien in Chat Blanc. Probably.
Ok right I keep seeing posts saying that Nathalie betrayed Adrien in Chat Blanc and it's bugging me. In the scene just after Adrien transforms, Nathalie doesn't immediately tell Gabriel what's going on, she looks shocked, then upset - when she does speak, she stammers (which she's never done before, this is Nathalie we're talking about here) and hesitates. She seems reluctant to tell him that Adrien is Cat Noir, and looks as though she's realised what they've done. She looks horrified. Edit: she literally looks like she's about to cry, if you look at the animation.
Then, when we next see the "past", it's Ladybug and Cat Noir fighting Hawkmoth - but Mayura isn't there. This episode was pre-Ladybug, so if Gabriel had made a Final Plan, Nathalie would definitely have been involved and Mayura would definitely have been there... But she's not. At all. She's nowhere to be found in any of the scenes. I reckon that she and Gabriel probably got into a fight after she heard him say that the Miraculous would "soon be [his]", like in Evolution, and she possibly left immediately, or stayed to look after Adrien, or possibly even did a runner and took Adrien with her. Whatever happened, she's not there and she's not fighting with him.
While she was assisting Gabriel in trying to akumatize Marinette, which was definitely cruel and unjust, this was not targeted at Adrien - Nathalie seems to have a very logical mindset without thinking about the emotional implications of things, so probably wouldn't have realised how upset Marinette and Adrien would be - to her it's just a plan, we see this numerous times throughout the series. Basically I think she would never have betrayed Adrien - even in season one it's fairly evident that she cares about him far more than Gabriel does. She and Gabriel take the reveal of Cat Noir very differently - Gabriel is triumphant whereas Nathalie looks like she's rethinking every choice she's ever made.
This has just been bugging me and as you guys will know I would happily defend Nathalie Sancoeur with my life so I decided to correct it.

Tales of Bloody Bug - Chapter 3 - Change on the Horizon
Beginning || Previous || Next
Alix stretched as the morning sunlight hit her face. She groaned and put a hand up to shield her eyes. She blinked several times as her environment came into focus. She bolted up when she remembered where she was. She looked on the bed but didn’t see Chat Blanc. She panicked and searched through her bag for the box. Her hand found it and relief temporarily flooded her before Chat Blanc jumped down into the room.
“Oh! Hello. Uh, good morning. So, um, thank you for letting me stay the night here. But, uh, I need to get home. Now.”
Chat Blanc stared at her blankly.
Alix pursed her lips before she forced a smile. She waved goodbye and headed out. She looked back several times and noticed Chat Blanc followed her from a distance. She ignored him best she could and made it back to safety. The patrolling guards yelled at her, but she ignored them too. Their words didn’t matter at this point. She had to get home and open the box. She could finally set things right.
The guards berated Alix, but she walked past them. She glanced at the shocked looks of the other people at her return as she headed back to her makeshift home. She reached the entrance when Ondine barreled into her.
“There you are! Where were you?”
            “Finding answers,” Alix answered.
“Answers? To what? You didn’t go into the inner city, did you?”
Alix didn’t answer. She pushed Ondine off her and headed inside. Ondine came in after her, but she blocked out Ondine’s yelling. She pulled the black box out from her bag. She took several deep breaths as she cracked it open and peeked inside. Her heart leapt seeing the red and black spotted stud earrings within. She ripped open it as a bright light shone. Ondine shrieked while she watched in breathless awe as Tikki appeared over the earrings.
Tikki opened her eyes and looked around. “Where am I?”
“You’re Ladybug’s kwami. Do you… remember me by chance?” Alix asked.
Tikki squinted her eyes and tilted her head. “Are you… Alix? One of Marinette’s friends and who would have been Bunnix, yes?”
“Yes! That’s me. Please, Ladybug left this box behind for me. Did she tell you anything before whatever happened to her?”
“She wanted us to set things right.”
“Wait, this isn’t a nightmare still, is it? That is the thing that Ladybug used to be a hero?” Ondine asked.
“Yes, and with her, we can finally set things right. We can have a proper life again,” Alix cheered.
“With her Lucky Charm thing?” Ondine asked.
“No. If you wish to have a peaceful future, you’ll need to capture Chat Noir’s Akuma. If you want a new past, you’ll need his miraculous,” Tikki explained.
“A new past? What do you mean?” Alix asked.
“Well, uh, tell me something first. What is the state of the world now?”
“It’s in ruins. The feral Chat Blanc laid waste to it. All miraculous had been destroyed, all heroes killed, and the nations fell because of him. We live on scraps to survive, providing we don’t die by his hand first,” Alix answered.
Tikki grimaced. “I see. Then you have two options. You can simply capture his Akuma and forge a new future, or you can make a wish.”
“Make a wish? But I thought it was dangerous to do that?” Alix asked.
“It is, but you could have whatever your heart desired.”
“Could we have our lives back? Could we have our friends again? Could we keep this from happening?” Alix asked.
            Tikki nodded.
“Fuck it. In that case, let’s make a wish. We can finally be free of this hell like it never happened!”
“Are you sure? What if it backfires?” Ondine asked.
“I’ll make sure it doesn’t. I’ll be the one to make the wish.”
“Ok, but how are you going to get its miraculous? It killed every hero that dared to challenge it.”
Alix hummed. “True, but those heroes were children. They hoped to save their friend through peaceful, reserved means. I’m not such a child. I know the price of holding back. We’ve all seen it. They took their enemy lightly and paid a steep price. I won’t make that mistake.”
            “Alix,” Ondine scolded.
“Ondine, I’m serious. I won’t hold my punches or show any mercy. I can’t. Not with so much on the line. Not only all of you, our future, our world, but… my life.”
            Ondine’s face softened. “Alix?”
“I never told you because, well, it didn’t matter at the time. I was meant to be Bunnix, a time travelling hero. I saw the older me come in to help that day, only to die at Chat Blanc’s hand. I don’t want to fall into such a loop where I’ll die again and again and have to live it on repeat in whatever paradoxical cycle that is. But, in case I do fall.”
Alix reached into her bag and pulled out the pocket watch. Tikki squeaked seeing it.
“This is Fluff’s miraculous. If I fail, use it to go back to before that day. Warn Ladybug, Marinette, about the impending doom and help her avoid it. Can you do that?”
Ondine looked at the watch and Alix, then nodded. “I will. Anything to set things right.”
Alix smirked. “So, you no longer think I’m crazy?”
Ondine rolled her eyes. “You’re still crazy, but you were right. We have a chance to change things. To set things right. I mean, what do we really have to lose at this point?”
            “Aside from our lives?”
Ondine sighed as she took the watch. “Is this really worth living?”
            “Ondine?”
“Ignore me. Just… let’s set things right.”
Alix put on the earrings and smiled. “Together?”
Ondine gave a small smile and slipped the watch into her pocket. “Together.”

You know, the more I think about the finale (which is basically all I’ve been doing since it came out), the more I realize something.
The further and further I got in Miraculous up until this point, the deeper the sense of dread and nihilism I got. Because every time Marinette and/or Adrien made any significant step forward, they were “rewarded” with either a bad end or an undo button. Chat Blanc and Ephemeral are obvious examples, but there have been plenty of others too -- all the times Marinette ~almost~ got to confess to Adrien, their identity reveal in Oblivio, the few moments of happiness Adrien had with his father, etc. Even Kwami’s Choice (one of the very few moments of actual happy plot progression that we get) bends to this rule, because they were so relieved to be free of the Miraculous, but in the end, that freedom was doomed not to last.
It made me more and more anxious the more I watched. I got the feeling that no matter what happened, these kids might never get their happy ending. Even when the series ends (I’m assuming on a positive note, but after this finale nothing can be taken for granted) Marinette will eventually have to pass on her Guardianship, which means she’ll forget everything -- including not only Adrien, also Alya and all the rest of her loved ones that she met after learning about the Miraculous. Her memories (to my understanding) will revert back to what they were at the point just before becoming involved with the Miraculous. Which means her journey of personal growth and working through her trauma will also be reset. Either that or her entire memory is wiped. Neither option is happy. And then of course there’s Adrien, who will have to grieve their past relationship, supposing he’s still alive when she gives up the Miracle Box.
Realizing this made me think: How will they get out of this? How will they ever be okay? Are they just doomed to fail and suffer tragedy on repeat for the rest of their lives?
Yin and Yang. Creation and Destruction. Joy and Grief. They are all natural cycles -- forces that cannot be avoided. And none can exist without the other.
In season five, we got one of the greatest joys (and steps forward) that we’ve received in the entire show -- Adrienette finally becoming canon. And staying canon, despite steep odds. We also got the single greatest loss in the series to date, and that’s Gabriel succeeding in making his wish. Going out on his own terms, with the knowledge that he got what he wanted. God, it makes me sick.
At first I was shocked. Upset. Disappointed, a little bit. Because of course we all expected something different. Something involving them beating the odds, no matter what.
But this ending....it’s the natural conclusion to the Bad Vibes (TM) I’d been getting from this series for a while now. That sense of hopelessness, of inevitability....All those times I thought to myself, “How are they ever going to break this cycle? What will they be able to do differently that will allow them to win?” The answer was already in front of me. And that answer was: They can’t. Sometimes tragedy is unavoidable. Sometimes, despite all your best efforts (and an absolutely badass performance by Bug Noire) you still lose.
And hasn’t that been the whole point of the series thus far, when you think about it? Making mistakes and knowing how to fix them. The entire setup of akumatized victims is a picture of this. We all have negative emotions, and we all make mistakes. But in the end, they can be fixed, and life moves on. Maribug makes all kinds of mistakes too. Little everyday ones that get episodic focus as well as life changing events like in Risk. She obsesses over her mistakes -- tries so hard to be perfect -- but no matter what she will continue to mess up, and do her best to make it better.
She’s made a massive mistake this time by choosing to extend an olive branch to Gabriel. The world is forever altered, and it’s unclear if anything can be done to fix it. But just like always, she will do everything in her power to make things right. It’s the natural evolution of a story with this theme, to, after rectifying so many errors, finally come to one which can never be undone. It’s even more dire than loosing the Miraculous last season, since at least those could be reclaimed. But life goes on, regardless of what happens in the past. All Marinette can do is learn from her experiences and do better next time.
Mistakes are inevitable. Pain and grief are inevitable. But so is growth. So is joy. So is life.
I predict that the end of Miraculous Ladybug will come when Marinette is finally comfortable with her ability to mess up and recover from it. When she accepts that sometimes bridges need to be burned, and that failure is a part of life. When she’s comfortable enough with herself to admit that, she’ll be ready to take on the new Butterfly holder and, with Adrien by her side this time, finally make a decisive victory.
Who knows what will happen after the final credits run. How the cycles of Creation and Destruction rear their heads in their lives. But by the time that moment comes, they’ll be prepared to square up and face it head on.

I can offer a snippet of a LadyBlanc/MariBlanc fic that I never got around to finishing in your time of Chat Blanc craving 💙
“What the hell are you doing?” Bunnyx hissed as she stormed towards her, only to come to a halting stop when she saw Ladybug was not alone. “No. No no no no no no! You can’t bring him here!”
Ladybug calmly looked over her shoulder. Chat Blanc hovered closely behind her, his eyes still softly closed just like he’d promised. From the slight baring of his fangs however, it was clear that he wasn’t exactly thrilled to be in Bunnyx’s presence either.
In an effort to soothe his turbulent frustration, she lightly squeezed his hand. His cat ears flattened to his head at her action, but he didn’t seem angry about her gesture. Instead he pressed his pale lips into a thin line, hiding his sharp teeth once more. He shuffled closer to her so that his chest was almost flush against her back. It was as though without being able to see her, he was using every other sense available to him to make sure she was still there before him. Even though he couldn’t see it, Ladybug smiled sadly at him. She gave his hand another squeeze.
“I brought you here to help fix things!” Bunnyx chastised. “This isn’t a job picking up strays for rescuing. If you leave him be then it will all be over.”
“I’m not leaving him be,” Ladybug answered simply. “We’ve just come to a… a compromise.”
Bunnyx continued to stare in disbelief. She’d probably thought that Ladybug had completely lost her mind and would start speaking in tongues any moment.
“I’ve made a promise,” Ladybug continued as she looked at Chat Blanc again. Even with his eyes closed she knew all of his attention was on her. He was still her Minou. Even if the Noir in him was buried deep under sheets of ice and glacial water, she knew he was still there. “And he’s promised me. I trust him.”
Chat Blanc’s cat ears twitched as though he were as shocked at her admission as Bunnyx.
Bunnyx meanwhile had been reduced to a mortified stupor, but she appeared to have relented to whatever craziness Ladybug was attempting.
Taking a deep breath, Ladybug squeezed Blanc’s hand and encouraged him to walk with her. “Come on, Minou. Remember to behave yourself, okay?”
He gave her a fanged grin. “I’ll be the purrfect gentleman.”
They both passed through the portal, leaving a frowning Bunnyx behind, and stepping forwards into a familiar Paris that still hummed with the sound life and sheer existence.
I WANT THE REST OF IT I WANT MORE YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW FERAL I AM RIGHT NOW SELKIEEEEEE

ML Fighting Game Arcade endings (Part 3)
Argos' Endings (He is one of the four characters that gets two endings)
Monarch's defeat:
Argos realized that he couldnt simply stay on the sidelines, Monarch needed to be handled. If he really wanted his cousin to be saved and to be happy with Kagami.
Monarch was defeated and now the next step was stopping the miraculized. Felix was mortified to learn how he doomed the Kwami's to such a fate. He knew he needed to make amends.
Tomoe was arrested, and Monarch gone for good. Felix convinced his mother to take in Kagami and Adrien for the time being. He would be there to protect his loved ones.
Bugnoire's defeat:
Argos realized that with Marinette using both miraculous, this maybe his one chance. He waited until Monarch was weakened and he jumped bug noire. The miraculous were now his.
Argos could now wish for the world where humans didnt look down on sentibeings. It took some sacrifice but things are better now.
Felix and his sentibeing brethern were safe and free, no heroes or villains would ever bring them harm. And with Ryuuko and Chat noir on his side, any threat to them would easily be dealt with.
Volpina's ending:
Monarch did have an ace in the whole should things go south, an akuma in waiting to take control should the situation turn. Unfortunately for him, Volpina was the one the akuma found.
She defeated Bug noire and took the miraculous for herself. Volpina merely had to wait until Monarch's timer gave out and she was set.
She summoned Gimmi who asked for her wish. "Read my heart" she told the kwami of reality. Gimmi did, and the kwami of reality felt itself shudder. Out of all the wishes it had ever granted... this one was the worst.
Chat Blanc's ending (He is one of the four characters that gets two endings)
Monarch's defeat:
Chat blanc wasnt entirely sure how he ended up here, but seeing his beloved on the ropes? He needed to step in.
Chat blanc made quick work of monarch, he had a long time to get over the fact that his father was an irredeemable monster.
Bug noire was shocked to see him, thinking he was gone from the timeline. Chat blanc only smiled. "Dont you know my Lady, The power of love is quite strong."
Bug noire's defeat:
Monarch and Bug noire were in conflict, the last thing they expected was an akumatized Chat noir to appear.
Chat blanc realized that marinette was wearing both miraculous. He could finally fix everything. He easily obliterated Monarch, and moved to Bug noire.
Chat blanc took the miraculous and made his wish. Finally a world where he could be happy, and all it cost him was a world he never knew.

of all the characters on the list yea silencer but also chat blanc?? being on there??? is prolly the most shocking 2 me bc hes literally just palette swap chat noir, who never looked all that interesting in the first place. like the design is good bc of the story its a part of, not bc its actually interesting at all.
kind of agree that chat blanc, design alone (without all the complex story and great episode behind it), isn't the slayest, but chat blanc does get some bonus points for subverting the popular magenta-eyed chat blanc fanon design at the time by giving him a blue-sky motif and (literally) killer eyeliner
Tumblr media
adrien went all out w the eyeliner for his villain arc and we all cheered and he does deserve SOME slay points for that i think

The defendant may speak now!

Your honour I would like to present some evidence to the court on the words of the accused.
The many times he has abused his son, manipulated him and used his very poor mental stability in his gain.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chat Blanc, where he showed his son his dead mother in the basement, threw him in the air and beat him with a stuck until he got knocked into the Eiffel Tower and fell to the ground.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After that he used his very poor emotional and mental state to akumatize him. He then proceeded to turn his son agains his best friend/love of his life into betraying her and getting him her earrings. The poor boy didn’t know what to do after everything he experienced in the span of 2 minutes and tried to destroy himself which resulted in a world ending catastrophe.
Exaple 2.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Once again after discovering his son’s secret identity the only thing this man had in mind was how to use this to his gain. He took him to their basement to see his dead mother. After the shock that Adrien had experienced, in the span of a few seconds his father ONCE AGAIN used his extremely poor emotional and mental state to akumatize him. He then proceeded to use him to take the earrings from his girlfriend to bring his dead wife back.

Just rewatched Chat Blanc and I strongly believe now that maybe a final battle of Monarch with both Ladybug and Chat Noir would’ve been possible and here are the reasons why:
1. When the events of Chat Blanc happened, it was during the final episodes of S3, which means Adrichat had two whole seasons of character growth.
2. The last episodes of S5 brought us the unlimited powers of ladynoir, this means that both of them are now considered “adults” by the miraculous, but this imo means more of an emotional maturity than a physical one. Both Maribug and Adrichat have grown to be more intelligent and emotionally aware of different things and are now mature enough for the miraculous to recognize them as “adults”.
3. During Chat Blanc, Adrichat was still heavily influenced by his father, discovering he was Hawkmoth and watching his mother in that whatever-that-was thing must’ve been a great shock and he still had a lot of emotional growth to do. However, in S5 we see him reaching a whole new emotional maturity, and we see him fighting Monarch and saying things about his father that makes us understand how he is no longer influenced by him and that he now recognizes the abused the has suffered for the past years.
4. Adrichat has told several times that he is at peace with his mother’s “disappearance”, it no longer affects him as much as it used to and is now happy with the life he has and that’s what his mother would’ve want for him.
Thus, with this points in mind, I think Adrichat would’ve been mature enough to fight against his father/Monarch and would even try to persuade him of going after the wish. I want to think that, given all the character growth he has had during the course of the series, he would’ve been able to fight against his father without Chat Blanc happening.
(Or maybe I’m just delulu lol)
Anyways, I understand why Adrichat didn’t fight against his father and I love Bug Noire, but this is just my view on how a S5 finale could have had both Adrichat and Maribug 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ok you know what I'll be asking...
Chat Blanc Returns
What?!
Ok, so, keep in mind that as of this moment, this is barely more than a concept and I still have a LOT of questions to answer and writing to do before this turns into any kind of a fully readable story! If I actually pull this off, I anticipate it'll turn out to be a pretty sizable multi-chapter. (which is terrifying since I do not have a great track record with actually finishing those) This story would take place 6-7 years or so in the future, the kids would be in their early 20s.
The premise:
With Monarch's reign of terror finally over, Adrien enjoys a few blissful years with the love of his life by his side. But his world comes crashing down when he discovers the truth about his father. About his mother. About himself. All of it. He discovers that Marinette lied.
Unable to handle this betrayal, Adrien gives up his Miraculous, leaving Paris, and everyone he knows, behind. Years in the future, alone and at the rock bottom of a downward spiral, he begins having unsettling dreams, nightmares really. When someone from his past shows up at his door unexpectedly, he begins to fear that the past he's so desperate to leave behind has finally caught up to him. Adrien will have to resurrect Chat Noir to face the villain, and ultimately, himself.
A sneak peak:
"He shot straight up in the darkness, heart racing and fear clawing at his chest as he struggled to take in air. He could still feel the gloved hands closing inexorably around his throat. The fabric felt leathery and slightly grippy, pinching the skin on his neck as the hands squeezed, choking the life out of him.
Breathing hard, he fought the twisted sheet that was tangled around his legs, trying to keep him tethered to the nightmare. Finally breaking free, he stumbled into the bathroom and threw the switch, finding relief in the harsh light even as it assaulted his senses, blinding him momentarily. Bracing his hands on either side, head bowed, he leaned heavily on the porcelain sink as he fought to regulate his uneven breathing; he shuddered as a wave of cold dread slithered down his spine. He'd had this dream before. He didn’t know what it meant exactly, only that it was somehow tied to the life he’d left behind. And he was worried that it meant that he was going to have to face that life again.
Steeling himself, he looked into the mirror, flinching at his own reflection. What he should have seen was an attractive young man with blond hair and bright green eyes- though lately with a haggard face and perpetual bags under those eyes. But what he actually saw was… an obsidian mask obscuring his face, and black leather covering his body. Wide green eyes with slitted pupils, like a cat’s. A shock of messy golden hair and a shiny bell at his neck. What stared back at him was a person he no longer was, hadn’t been for some time.
Rapid-fire, like an old movie projector, the reflection began to switch in and out, sending his heart racing once more as nausea filled his gut. In between the glimpses of the man he’d once been was the man from the dream. The one that had been trying to kill him. A man with chilling blue eyes and stark white hair. A man who was dressed from head to toe in white leather, even the bell at his neck bleached of any color.
He ripped his gaze from the vision in the mirror and swallowed thickly, trying to keep the panic at bay. He didn’t know how exactly… but the man was him."
The inspiration for this was a fabulously compelling fan art I saw of Chat Noir looking at himself in a mirror and seeing Chat Blanc reflected in the glass.
