The Loose Ends

Pathfinder Pirate Campaign Character Reflection

Session 23-24

Context: The party has been spending their time getting their bearings in the city of Maeyrn in astral space. Maeya, for whom the city is named, gave Piper a memento of Dhul to give to Jhara. Then, during some shopping and restocking, Jhara and Piper came across a shop that appeared to have been broken into. It turned out to have been a misunderstanding. The shopkeeper just accidentally broke some glasses, but Piper had already managed to stick her nose where it didn't belong: literally. She put her face into what turned out to be a Wellspring of Knowledge, which kept her stick until she told it a secret.

Later than evening, the same demon spies appeared that had appeared in their tent back in Zaragoza. Before the party could catch them, they vanished.

Now, the party is pursuing a variety of jobs, to make money and prepare for their pending journey to hell. First on the list is helping an eccentric musician who can't write a song. Tonight, they're going to a concert!

As soon as Piper drops the necklace into my hand, I know what it is. I don’t recognize the shape, or the magic that pulses from it, but I know the material. I know orc ivory. I’m confused. Piper tells me it’s Dhul’s, that Maeya gave it to her, and my confusion grows. Where did Maeya get this? Why did she give it to Piper? Piper can’t tell me much, and I'm left with a familiar emptiness as I clutch the weeping figure, with as many questions as ever. My bosun whistle suddenly feels heavier around my neck.

On the rail ride back to the Atlas, we grilled Piper about what happened with the fountain. She had to give it a secret. She didn’t want to answer, she never does, but she finally told us: She didn’t know if she wanted to save the world or let it rot, because she’s angry about her own pain. That answer is shitty, childish, and unbearably selfish, but it was honest. More honest than she has ever been, and that is something I can appreciate. That is something we can work with. I’m relieved, actually. If she’s going to be here and she wants to keep her freedom, we need complete and open honesty from now on.

Yunma’s question catches me off guard. “How do you deal with it?” It almost makes me want to laugh. If this is what dealing with death and grief and horror and loss is, I don’t want to know what not dealing with it would look like. But clearly, to him, I look more put together than I feel. Maybe he feels that way too. I tell him the truth; I have no idea. The only way I know how to deal with any of it is just… to keep going. Life goes on. The world keeps turning. And you do what you can for those that are still here. Having friends to rely on helps. I hope he knows he can rely on me.

He asks me about Saaria next. I don’t know how to answer that. She’s pretty. I’d like to get to know her more, being the only other drow I’ve ever met. We could have fun. It’d be a nice distraction. I fall asleep considering the possibility.

I don’t know what causes me to wake, but I jump up upon seeing the figure in the doorway, red, with pits for eyes, just like in the tent. But as soon as I grab my swords, it’s gone. Yunma and I race to Piper and Edward’s room. They saw the same. I remember what the captain said to Edward and I when we discovered the first one. I make everyone show me their tongues, but nothing is out of the ordinary. If there is another shape-shifting spy here, it is not one of us, but it is here, and we must be vigilant.

For now, we have a concert to get to. It feels a bit silly, helping a musician who can’t write a song with so much else going on, but if Kaela feels it’s worth our time, I trust her. We have free tickets. Maybe someone would like to come along with us…

Period Comfort (1/?)

Synopsis: You’re on your period. How does your girlfriend help you during this difficult time?

Ratings: Multi-Characters (Himeko, Kafka, and Ruan Mei) x Afab Reader, Sfw, Suggestive (Only with Kafka’s section) and Fluff.

Himeko

Being an experienced woman, Himeko knows exactly how to help you. She’ll give you whatever you need and knows exactly where to get it from. You just have to say it and she’ll give it to you in an instant. She’ll make food for you in the morning, be extra affectionate, and be very supportive in anyway she can. If you be rude or anything to her, she wouldn’t be sad about the fact you’re being disrespectful, she would be sad over the fact of how much pain you’re probably going through. Of course, you’re not going through it alone. She’ll cuddle up against you from behind while rubbing your stomach with occasional asks of if you need anything. If she has your period synced up with hers, she’ll be just as the same as before. But, a little quieter and, slightly needy of your affection. She probably has very bad cramps but, is just so use to them.

You woke up with a headache, groaning as you sat up on your shared bed. Looking to your side, expecting Himeko but, finding empty sheets. You sighed disappointingly before hearing the door creaked open and saw Himeko with a plate of your chocolate waffles with syrup and whip cream on it. She knew you very well. Himeko’s eyes widened before relaxing, her lips curling into a grin. She didn’t expect you to be awake yet. “Ah.. i didn’t expect you to be awake just now. Did I keep you waiting?” She asked, walking over to you and pressing her lips against your cheek before placing your plate of food on your lap. You smiled, “No, I only just woke up.” You looked back at your food and back at her, laughing. “You seems like you know me very well when it comes to my cravings.” Himeko laughed softly with you for a moment before speaking. “Seems like I do.”

Kafka

Kafka would spoil you so much. She hates seeing you in pain and gives you whatever you want. Treats? You got it. Cuddles? You got it. Advil? Literally. Anything. She wouldn’t even care if you get mad at her from your hormones. She gets it. And, she won’t leave you alone. She’ll cuddle you from behind closely while rubbing your stomach and pressing kisses along your neck. If she gets her period synced with yours, she’ll be very, very clingy and needy of your affection. Especially in the morning while she tries to convince you to stay in with her for the rest of the day. (She may or may not use her Spirit Whispering to help.. But, can you blame her? She just wants you! How bad is that?)

Kafka kissed your lips, wrapping one of her arms around your waist and placing one of her hands on your stomach, massaging it gently. You hummed delightfully against her lips, relaxing under your shared bed sheets as she hovered over you. Kafka smiled at the sight, parting your lips for a moment. You both lightly panted. “You’re just so cute, (Name)..” She said, her eyes drifting down below your waist. “You know..” She began, her hand on your stomach teasingly drifting over your shorts like a spider. “I can think of another reason to ‘soothe’ your cramps~” Right before she was going to continue, you stopped her with an annoyed groan and placed her hand back to your stomach. “And I think this way to soothe my cramps is just fine.” You bit back, pulling her down by the neck and continuing your make out session with a grinning Kafka against your lips. It’s okay. You’ll say yes eventually.

Ruan Mei

Ruan Mei would know your cycle by heart likely without your knowledge. She would know exactly how to help you. She knows all your treats, cravings, and needs by heart. If you have really bad cramps, she definitely have some sort of medication specifically for you to help soothe them. She wouldn’t mind staying in your shared bed and cuddling you if it helps you. If you’re too embarrassed to ask, she can tell by your expressions anyhow (She has it all memorized at this point). If your both on your period, she’ll be as just as helpful and in need of your affection. Ruan Mei would likely hug you from behind and cuddle with you. She wouldn’t really have heavy cramps, more like light to none most of the time.

Ruan Mei and you were positioned in a spooning position on your shared bed. She began to put her hands on your lower stomach from behind, her breath on your neck as she massaged the soft area. “I heard this is common through lovers to comfort one another on their cycle. Is this correct?” She asked, her hands soothing your cramps as she pressed small kisses against your neck. “Mmh… Yeah, it’s true..” You responded quietly as you relaxed under her touch. It was extremely nice. It’s like she already knew what to do to make you feel better. Wink wink.

Humans are space ghosts.

Yep. So humans can astral project, we’ve known this for a very long time.

What if instead of projecting our fragile bodies into space we just fine tune our astral projecting and become what essentially equates to as a poltergeist capable of spanning anywhere in the universe in mere moments.

Can you imagine the horror of a species that cannot be effected physically but can effect the physical.

Obviously I’m making some silly stretches here but if humanity became the ghost stories of the universe with no need for shuttles or weapons or need to actually leave our planet physically that would be really interesting.

The Loose Ends

Pathfinder Pirate Campaign Character Reflection

Session 22

Context: After signing the contract, Yunma told us of his troubled past and missing friends. He asked Asczqual to provide information on Jhara's missing crewmates as well if we complete the contract, but Asczqual is physically unable to do so. Edward, Yunma, and Piper signed the contract, but Jhara abstained, though promises she will help them see it through.

The party, crew, and ship are towed to the nearby city, Maeyrn, sitting on the back of giant floating turtle. The party and crew get a much needed break and time to process everything. The party spent a night in a tavern, where Jhara met another drow for the first time in her life. Later, heated, drunken conversations happened, and were forgotten the next morning.

I understand where Yunma is coming from. I probably understand better than anyone else here. He would do anything to find his missing friend, even if it meant signing an infernal contract. If Asczqual had information to share on my crew, I would have signed without question too. I appreciate Yunma asking more than I can express, but in the end, I could not sign.

We did learn something incredibly valuable, however: a lord of the Hells doesn’t want Asczqual to share information about our friends. Which means this ArchDuke knows something. I was going to follow Yunma into the Hells (literally) anyway, but now I have a reason of my own to go.

The city of Maeyrn is unlike anything I’ve ever dreamed. I want to explore as much of it as we can while we’re here, but now is the time for some much needed R&R. The tavern we find is beautiful, and, fortunately, relatively similar to taverns on the material plan. Despite being in a city on a giant turtle in the astral plane, what I’m most surprised to find is another drow. I’ve never met another dark elf outside of my immediate family my entire 2 centuries on this earth. I want to ask her a million questions, but the drink she gives me goes through me faster than any drink I’ve ever had.

I don’t remember most of the night after that. The next thing I know I’m awake on the ship with a raging headache. I vaguely remember talking to Piper and Edward last night, but the details are… fuzzy. I think I spoke to Yunma, too, about his sister sending a letter for me. I had hoped to ask him that more politely and more, well, soberly.

Despite the horrific hangover, I have a job to do. I’m bosun of a ship I don’t know how to sail in a sea I do not know. It’s time to start learning.

You were one of the Herta space station members that helped out Asta... Well, you most likely are good at self-defence enough to defeat some of the attackers but... It wasn't enough when you were surrounded.

That day was as clear as water... The Trailblazer who came to save you on time.

With a smash of his bat the monster disappears.

"Hey... Are you alright?" His voice asked you as your gaze fell up and nodded while holding the cards close to you.

He doesn't know why you have cards on you not until March 7th hugged you.

"Y/n!! I thought I would not see you again after we got separated!" She said while snuggling closer to your neck as you smiled a bit reassuring March that you were fine.

"..." Caelus stood awkwardly as he took notice of your appearance... Your h/c hair was not that rare among the people present but your eyes was simply e/c coloured with the pupils been green clover like.

"Who... May you be?" You asked unsurely as March smile and beckon hit Caelus in the back who flinch.

"My name's Caelus"

"He seems to have short-term memory loss... Say y/n have you ever seen him on the space station?" March asks as you stare at Caelus who... Somehow feel slightly flustered by your unblinking stare yet you quickly smile.

"No I have not... But I guess I don't look around much"

"I suppose... Where were you heading off to?" March asked as you told her you were heading to the storage room to take some supplies for taking care of the repairmen.

"We were going to the elevator," March said as you nod.

"I'm sure Himeko and all will be there"

"Be sure to come since we don't often stay in space station we have a lot to chat about!" March said as you smile softly and nod.

"Be careful on your way... Both of you" you replied as March smiled brightly and waved while walking away while Caelus stood unsurely..

You tilt your head to side confuse as he smiles a bit, "sorry for the trouble... But..."

"Hmm?"

"I was wondering if-"

"Caelus! Hurry before more monsters come!" Match shouted as Caelus sweatdrop and shook his head slightly.

"Can we meet again?"

"Huh? Sure... I will be present at the space stations"

Caelus smile and walk away waving as you stood there slight confuse yet quickly left to get the supplies.

"Asta... The supplies are brought..." You said as Asta beamed happily and ask if you were in short of trouble or not... In slightly worried tone.

As you told her about what have happen, as Himeko smile and thank for the contribution which make you flustered.

"I..."

"I have done the task given by the others" a voice interrupted as you turn to notice Caelus whose eyes widen slightly yet he quickly smiles at you then face at Asta.

"I'm sure we have some time to spare" March said as Dang Heng nod in acknowledgement.

You smile and nod about to ask how they are after facing off the other enemies.

Until the alarmed went red.

As the enemies try to attack neutralizing all defence.

"Take the express and leave" Asta said as the others nod Caelus eyes flickered on yours as you told them to leave immediately to the express.

"Y/n Tell the others to Evacuate quickly"

"On it Asta" you replied and rush away to evacuate the others people who cannot fight or defend themselves.

With a swift of your card you make the enemy into a card of glass that shatter defeating them.

As you immediately help around for others to leave.

"Miss Herta welcome back" you replied in relief that the strongest enemy was defeated by The Trailblazers.

"Y/n! You seem like you have drank a lot of caffeine" Herta mention as you smile a bit.

"I guess so... Miss Himeko will be upstairs"

"Well... I surely hope things will settle. Take a rest you need it... Beside if one of the fighter lose its strength I can't fight off all you know"

"Alright Miss Herts I will... Keep in mind to rest"

Herta left as March ended up taking you to chat as you found out Dang Heng was helping Arlan.

As Caelus was helping Herta in simulating universe of sortm

As you ended up taking slight break with March who told you about her journey of recent travels.

"I can manage" you replied to Caelus who shook his head and hold onto the supplies.

"I want to help as much as I can"

"That's... Very kind of you" you said smiling abit as Caelus smile back helping you out on the works.

"If I'm not wrong you are leaving in express right?" You asked as Caelus said he doesn't know and haven't decided yet.

"What about you? Will you leave if you get the chance?"

"Well yes... I want to go around the universe.."

Caelus nod while in thought and ask, "so why not travel together?"

You quickly refused.

He was confuse by your dismissal.

He later on even ask March, Himeko, Mr Yang and even Dang Heng about you.

"Seem like someone have a crush" Said March teasing Caelus who quickly refused.

He find out you help around the space station ad worker too... And you also fight.

Herta also seems to speak fondly of you.

There are two type of Caelus ending.

One yandere as he fall deeply for you second normal crush ending.

.

In yandere ending he will stay back in Herta space station leading to the missing of the astral express which you were disheartened by the fact they may have died.

Caelus will often stay beside you and help around and in no time become closest to you.

One way or another Herta will find out but for her it doesn't matter if Caelus like you too much.

As long as he is not a murderer thanfully he isn't.

Unless someone push his button to the point of harming you then let's say some monster present have killed that person.

No one will know eventually.

It is either that person is too... Rude and make people life difficulty.

As somehow you may or may not be fall in love with him.

Which can go good or bad way...

.

In normal ending

He will text you often while in astral express.

He will try to be much more into texting and all if he is busy on worlds he won't be able to talk for two or three days.

I think this one have more likely to be delusional type to think you also like him a lot.

I mean who will reply to someone who often bother? And he will surely purpose you one day when he returns back to space station.
