Have you played Yakuza 6 yet? If so ya got any kazumaji head canons based off the events of the game?
I absolutely love your ideas for them and I am beyond upset that Majima was barley in the game. Or even mentioned that much.
They did the boi dirty in this game, I swear.
*clenches my ass hard enough to shit diamonds*
oh I have OPINIONS about 6 I'll tell you that but it is good fodder for the kazumaji agenda 👀 I'mma be kinda rambly in this but I promise it all ties together kdjfjkldfkldf
so we all know Kiryu goes off to find Haruka and because I'm a big fan of dadjima, I can only imagine Kiryu lets him know while he's stuck in jail and Majima's just like WHAT
so Kiryu does a lot of self reflection but acting upon it is another matter. I can see Majima chastising him, saying she ran away cuz that's all Kiryu ever does (part of him is still pissy about him leaving in y3) and she's never had a healthy role model other than the king of hypocrisy. Kiryu would go on about how it's just to protect people yada yada but Majima would be like my guy, you left a bunch of kids in the care of your daughter who should not be parenting for you. you refuse any and all help because you think you can do it all on your own. you left me with Daigo who you said I wouldn't be babysitting AND YET—
I just want Majima to absolutely rail into him about how self serving he's acted despite better intentions. like of course Haruka ran away, look how much pressure she was under, what she went through in the idol bizz (maybe I'm a loser but I did not like Haruka's part in y5 that shit icked me), what you (Kiryu) do every time you feel like a burden to people. how naïve it was to think any part of Kiryu's past would leave him behind just because he wanted it to. how his lone wolf thing impedes on everybody else. how in 5 he literally says he needs to stop running from his past and he does it anyway. this game FRUSTRATES ME rrhrrhhrhrr KIRYU FRUSTRATES ME ACK. but also I have a thing for Majima just being angry at him, to actually lash out and spew all those feelings of being left behind or being refused to let help because Kiryu's stubborn. how he let himself be used all those years to help Kiryu out just because he asked and now once again Kiryu's off on his own, never changing his tune about how he doesn't wanna rely on people. Majima's not perfect either and frankly he communicates like shit too but I just want that RAGE to get out and explore how Kiryu would hear him but never listen. makes it all the more tragic when he finds out Kiryu "died."
*tho I must note, as much as it does irritate me, 6 makes sense entirely for Kiryu's character lol. nothing he does in it surprises me in the slightest so while I'm not a fan of the story, it's pretty fitting for him since he's the downfall of his own story half the time. and it's not so simple as just saying Kiryu's to blame. he's constantly forced to deal with shit just as much as he wants to be left alone. he struggles and he tries hard I'll give him that. I don't think he's a bad person for what he aimed to do in 6 but he's not infallible either. and sometimes it's just par for the course. like how he makes the compromise at the end of the game to disappear so his family can be at peace all the while in his history, he's had major problems doing what he's told - never truly disappearing anyway, going about whatever's gonna happen in gaiden. could you imagine if Haruka caught wind that some resting bitch face motherfucker is beating the shit outta armies somewhere? could you imagine her finding out that Kiryu left again?
honestly I think his character is really interesting cuz of this. he has good intentions and I feel like to him there's some expectation that people should understand this, that people should accept his choices. I think it's fun to explore how others react to that - how it's in a way offensive, that Kiryu thinks he knows what's best and how to handle it as if he has all the power and say. how pissed people feel about him shoving them away for the sake of their safety, etc. I don't think he'd listen to Majima tbh but I think it's important that someone unafraid of Kiryu's dumbassery would lay it out how it is to him in a way that cuts, more so than Haruka, Date or like Akiyama could.
ANYWAY, Majima's mad at him lol but can't really do anything atm due to the surrounding circumstances. I like to think he's got some of the Majima family watching out for Kiryu and Haruka if they happened to see them. Nishida at least cuz ain't no one gonna arrest a cutie patootie like him. it's not much but it's a little peace of mind. Majima knows Kiryu's reckless as all hell so he's worried and doubly annoyed that Kiryu doesn't care (about his own safety or that other people are concerned for him).
so since Majima has a fat 5 minutes in the whole game, there's not much to say about his involvement overall (other than oopsie stuck in jail) but I've had some thoughts about what all the jimas³ are doing in the meantime.
all the jimas are grouped together because I said so even tho realistically they'd prolly be separated lol. Daigo and Saejima are handling things well enough but Majima's bouncing off the walls in boredom and nothing irks him more than being stuck in one spot while Kiryu's out probably getting hit over the head with a stop sign and refusing medical attention. Daigo's losing his mind but he can agree Kiryu's bullheaded and talking about that keeps Majima distracted. Saejima does his part in trying to get Majima's mind off things now that they have all the time in the world to catch up on whatever.
Tumblr media
time passes and I'm rewriting the part in 6 where they show up at the end cuz I live in a fantasy world.
Kiryu "dies" and suddenly the three of them are released early, no doubt knowing his death had something to do with it. Daigo gets Kiryu's letter and Majima makes some joke about Kiryu's literacy but a quick scan of the letter makes Daigo's face drop. he reads it and Majima doesn't think it's real. he doesn't know how to feel. even Saejima is in disbelief. but the letter is vague. it's conjecture written by Kiryu of his own death so there's a chance he's fine. Kiryu's fine, he's always fine. he's been shot and stabbed a million times, he's fine.
but it's not long till it's confirmed by Date. Daigo's skeptical cuz his inner punkass doesn't trust cops. Saejima's on the same page but Majima's in full denial whilst also believing it to be true. his reaction is immediate and violent. he wants something to be done, he wants revenge but Daigo wants to follow Kiryu's wish to avoid war. Majima's so outraged he frankly couldn't give less of a shit about Kiryu's wishes so it's up to Saejima to wrangle him back *insert a dramatic fight here.* Majima gets his ass beat and he's just a mess. things move fast though - the fate of the clan is up in the air and he just couldn't care. but Daigo needs him and for that he pulls it together, just barely.
fast forward to when the jimas go into hiding. they get set up in a lil safehouse via Nick Ogata. I like to see it as a basic bitch type of place, very out of the way, very ignorable but the inside is nice enough. they have to stay cooped up as much as possible and it drives Majima insane. he's fidgety, always pacing. Saejima tries to calm him down and it works for a time until Majima falls into another slump and repeats.
Tumblr media
they took a few things with them that they could, mostly small stuff, some clothes and the like. Majima brought along a few of Kiryu's things, namely some pocket cars and a shirt. he wears it often, being very against washing it. Daigo's too stressed to notice but Saejima watches Majima just break down into someone he doesn't know. he's tired, closed off, guilt ridden. Saejima starts to think this is who Majima was after getting out of the Hole. a shell of a person taking blame for things out of his control. losing the will to care for himself as some sort of self imposed punishment for not doing more. seething in silence in the powerlessness.
his beard grows scraggly, his hair is unkept and the circles under his eye grows darker everyday. his behavior mimics his Sotenbori days where everything was for Saejima, all he could think about was Saejima, how he failed him, how if he tried hard enough he could see him again. it's not the case with Kiryu though. he didn't even get to see the body himself.
he's always on his phone reliving memories through photos and conversations. he freaks out when anyone touches the pocket cars and eventually the shirt gets worn out. he's spiraling while the others look on, unsure how to deal with someone whose entire personality revolves around having a fake one.
Tumblr media
Saejima takes initiative. maybe he's seen Majima like this before or maybe he hasn't. doesn't matter because he gives Majima a bit of tough love, telling him to get a grip. telling him that Kiryu wouldn't want to see him like this and, under his breath, he needs him in better shape so they can beat the shit outta whoever was responsible. it's not easy of course. it takes Majima awhile to learn how to live again and frankly he doesn't want to talk about Kiryu but Saejima forces him to - to get comfortable with mentioning him, enjoying the memories they had. letting him know it's okay to be vulnerable. it's not a kind or pleasant recovery but it's there. it's helping.
and perhaps some time under supervision, he goes to see Haruka and meets Haruto for the first time. he tries to keep a strong façade for her but she can see right through him and gets one of those rare moments where he's just quiet. where he's real. she catches him up on things and it's a rough one for the both of them, especially since he has to keep the visit short. she doesn't bother asking him where he's going afterward but he promises to keep in touch and that he does. she sends him a lot of photos and videos of the family and he backseat-parents Yuta whenever possible. Haruka's never been a fan of always having Kiryu at arms length but this arrangement helps her deal with the long distance since there's effort on both ends to stay close.
Majima's not used to having others around to help him cope but he eases into it decently enough without the Tojo Clan on his shoulders. he even gets along better with Daigo who has time now to focus more on himself and the grunge within his soul. he's a silly lil dork and that charm reminds him of Kiryu but in a way that doesn't send him spiraling. he starts to see all reminders of Kiryu in a more hopeful light, one that brings back his energy. for most of their home confinement, Majima wouldn't even go out as Goromi since half his confidence came from Kiryu's support. but now and then, with Saejima and Daigo backing him, he can tiptoe a bit back into his fav dresses, ones that Kiryu gave him, ones that hurt to put on because of the baggage they carry. he doesn't even have his wigs anymore so he assembles what he can, how he can into something he knows Kiryu would have called pretty regardless. it stills hurts but it helps.
Tumblr media
but, he'll always dip back into the pain of it all. missing intimacy and things taken for granted. he regrets his last words with Kiryu were criticisms knowing he's not perfect himself. maybe he's faced with realizations that he can't survive without certain people, that his attachment issues are brought to the forefront for everyone to see. it's ugly and embarrassing and for the first time in a long time he feels very seen. death's always been a reality for him and he's never cared much for it in regards to himself but losing someone so close, so suddenly? without closure or goodbyes? he's forced to deal with the frailty and mortality of someone he thought was invincible.
and it scares him.

What They Call You | Goro Majima, Kazuma Kiryu & Akira Nishikiyama
Hello, I'm here with some headcanons for some of the Yakuza boys bc I love them all and my brain is craving content for them AAAA! Anyway, here are some headcanons of what they'd call their s/o, hope you enjoy!! ❤️
Notes: Fluff, some mild suggestive themes, spoilers for Yakuza 1/Kiwami during Nishiki's segment, mild angst
Goro Majima
Tumblr media
Darlin' - This one is the default for him, the one his s/o will hear the most. It just flows off his tongue effortlessly, he hardly even realizes he is calling you that in the first place. The drawl of his Kansai-ben also really adds to the experience, making the pet name feel extra unique and exclusive.
Doll - This is the one he uses when he really wants to sweet talk. And oftentimes he pairs it with remarks about how pretty you are in his eyes. There is some slight silliness in it but for the most part, his overly honeyed words and compliments are almost always accompanied by this pet name.
Baby/Babe - Putting these two together because I feel like he'd use both in the same situations. Though I feel like "Baby" would be more so used when he and his s/o are intimate. In general, though, he uses one of these to surprise you, as you are so used to his usual "Darlin'". When one of these leaves his mouth, he's silently asking something of you. Usually, it's sexy time.
Princess/Prince - 100% most used when he wants to tease his s/o or is in the process of pampering them with lavish gifts or an unusually affectionate kiss. With this one, he just wishes to let you know how highly he thinks of you and how important you are to him. It leaves you with warmth on your cheeks almost every time.
Kazuma Kiryu
Tumblr media
Your Name - Listen, Kiryu isn't too big on pet names, simply because to him, there isn't anything better to call you than your name. It's just much more special to him than any other nickname could be. He likes your name, so why wouldn't he use it? Sure, his s/o might feel like it's somewhat serious and not as light-hearted as it could be with traditional pet names, but really, Kiryu just wants to let you know that your name is all that he needs to call you, because nothing else would be able to convey his feelings better, in his opinion.
Dear - Now, despite what was said in the previous paragraph, there are still some times when this man will use a pet name. This one in particular is used if he and his s/o are married. He's a traditional, gentlemanly husband, so he uses the most traditional pet name there possibly is. Admittedly, he felt strange saying it at first, but it quickly became second nature, and he soon grew to love calling you that.
Beautiful - This is pretty self-explanatory. Whenever Kiryu uses this one, he is simply describing what he sees. To him, his s/o is the most beautiful thing there is, and him saying this out loud, is a verbal confirmation of it that admittedly leaves you somewhat flustered.
Cutie Patootie - He tried this once after seeing it on the internet. Bad idea. You almost died laughing. Never again.
Akira Nishikiyama
Tumblr media
Babe - Nishiki's default. This one is rather broad, as he uses it with anyone who happens to strike his fancy if he is not already seeing someone, so it doesn't feel as exclusive when he and his s/o do get together. However, he somehow is able to make it sound special and different compared to how you used to hear it before you officially started dating. The charming smile he so often wears is surely a partial reason for this.
Sweetie - This one is saved for his s/o. It's a lot more tender and dare I say, sweet, perfect for when you two have been together for some time. Usually, you'll feel a kiss on your temple or cheek right after hearing him call you by this pet name. It warms your heart and you cannot help but smile a little. He is always genuine whilst addressing you in this way, and you know it. You hear it in his voice and see it in his eyes.
Sexy - To absolutely no one's surprise, Nishiki is a flirt, and he knows it. Whenever he is in a teasing mood, expect him to whisper sensual compliments to your ear along with this pet name. He is fully aware of what he is doing and needless to say, this is a word he calls you a LOT during intimacy. Usually, it's mixed with praise or, you guessed it, more compliments on how amazing and hot you are to him.
Mine - SPOILERS FOR YAKUZA 1/KIWAMI! When he calls you his, it's usually out of fear, though anyone can see the underlying possessiveness in his eyes. Deep down, he doesn't want to lose you, not after having already lost so many people dear to him. His sister, Kiryu, he absolutely can't deal with loss any longer. You see the change in his behavior, hear the sternness of his voice, and hear the hunger in his tone as he claims you with his words. Pre-Kiwami Nishiki would never say it in such a way, hardly at all if we are honest, but he has changed, and he is desperate to have you stay with him. So he holds you tight, vigorously telling you how you belong to him.

howdy? your headcanons are awesome, really love reading them! could I ask for the reader falling asleep on yakuza guys? thanks a bunch!
Perfect pairing for my previous post, literally cheese n wine pairing right here lol. Here ya go and thanks for your patience.
Kazuma Kiryu
He'd just hazily wrap his arm around you and fall back asleep. He's pretty easy to fall asleep on, but it mostly only works if he's also already asleep or trying to sleep. Otherwise, he'd just pick you up and tuck you into bed.
Majima Goro
Don't fall asleep on him if he's also asleep, at some point he's going to flail around and you'll get kicked or something. If you fall asleep on him while he's awake, he'll just sit patiently. It's literally like a cat fell asleep on his lap. He cannot move now. It's illegal.
Akiyama Shun
Nap on him anytime. If he's asleep, if he's awake, if he's laying down or sitting up or at home or at work. Free cuddles. Do it. He wants it. Please?? He'll be so nice and stroke your hair and everything.
Saejima Taiga
A human pillow. A living breathing heated blanket. If you get cold easily, I would recommend falling asleep on Saejima. He's also one of the bigger guys so you can like full body lay on top of him.
Tanimura Masayoshi
Very gentle little baby and might even fall asleep while you're sleeping with your head in his lap or leaning on his shoulder. The two of you tend to just fall asleep wherever the other one does, it's almost comedic how much that happens.
Ryuji Goda
Also a human pillow, although he's kind of goofily prideful about it. If you fall asleep on him, he's internally like "Alright, I'll be the best pillow ya ever had then!".
Nishikiyama Akira
It kind of melts his heart. It makes him feel like you trust him and can depend on him and that means a lot to him. He can be a little protective or jealous sometimes, so moments like this make him feel genuinely close to you.
Daigo Dojima
On the rare occassion you're sleepier than he is, he'll just kind of engulf you in his arms and hold onto you until you either wake up or until he also falls asleep. Out of all the boys, it's most common for Daigo to either fall asleep on you or for you to fall asleep on him.
Mine Yoshitaka
Kind of feeds into his top/dom energy, I won't lie. He's secretly like "Oh HELL yea, fall asleep on me. Love that." even though he's not the most cuddly of the boys. He thinks it's cute that you just nodded off like that.
Tatsuo Shinada
Constantly torn between letting you just sleep that way or tucking you in more properly, especially if he's still wide awake. At the same time, he doesn't want to move you because you're basically cuddling now, right?
Ichiban Kasuga
First time it happens, he turns beet red and sits so still that you might mistake him for a statue. Over time, he just gets used to it and kind of pats your head. He might occupy his time by reading a book or watching a video very quietly if he's not sleepy. Kind of chuckles and says "Heh, you really were tired huh?"
Tianyou Zhao
Would let you sleep it off but might tease you when you wake up by saying something like "Ah, look who's awake!" or "Someone was a sleepyhead, eh?". If he's also sleepy, he'll kind of drape one arm over you and pass out.
Joon-Gi Han
Also operates off of cat logic. You are laying there and you will remain there for as long as you are comfortable. Would probably actually tell the others at HQ that he cannot come in because you're still asleep on his chest and therefore he cannot move. Honestly, this is one of his preferred forms of intimacy as he enjoys the quietness. He's a little bit of an awkward conversationalist so this is relaxing for him.

So I just played the entire Majima introduction scene in Kiwami 2 and suffice to say I'm having some t h o t s. After having to sit through that awkward af scene where Kaoru undresses in front of Kiryu and then has a heart-to-heart with him about wanting to find out about her past (like seriously? if y'all wanted show them bonding just do THAT?? Do they need to sexualise that encounter like fucking look at the way the camera positions on Kaoru's breasts while she's genuinely talking about wanting to find out the truth. men at sega are truly limp dicked bastards istg) it was such a breath of fresh air to FINALLY go and see Majima.
Like at the Tojo HQ I almost screamed when Kiryu found the demonfire knife in Terada's backroom and was all like "I'd recognise that dagger anywhere..." like we know baby. You've got scars on your body the shape of the dagger's edge, of course you'd recognise it! And then the conviction with which he says that Majima is the only one who can save the clan from falling apart when Yayoi and Kashiwagi are both apprehensive about it is just...*chef's kiss*.
The actual meeting scene takes the cake of course. Kiryu brings that damn dagger with him to Purgatory and tosses it to the ground like some sort of a mating call to Majima, like he knows that's the only way he'll actually respond. And then what follows is just Sayama being obviously third-wheeled the entire time these gay bitches are in proximity to each other. Like I'm pretty sure the use of the very possessive sounding "my Kiryu-chan" definitely raised her eyebrows. (Not to mention, his dialogue with Sayama comes off more or less catty. The nicknames he calls her feel patronizing, like he dismisses her being anything more than another arm candy. Of course that is until the "I'm a cop" reveal lmao, that sobers him up pretty fucking fast).
And of course then Kiryu is more or less begging Majima to come back to the Tojo, bowing his head low in reverence and desperation and a bit of selfishness too because he KNOWS Majima won't be able to say no. Not to him, HIS Kiryu-chan. And Majima surely just reinforces that fact by saying "Ya know I can't bear seeing ya like this..." They're both pretty fucking aware of the fact that Majima has a big ol' soft spot for Kiryu (and now, thanks to all of this shit happening right in front of her salad, Sayama does too).
But the real highlight of the scene comes after, during Kiryu's entry into the coliseum where Majima is just so shamelessly checking him out through the cage it's not even subtle. But we all know that already.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
What we don't know is the fact that its Kiryu who looks at him first and he just keeps looking at Majima's direction after winning against Di Sciuva:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
against Gary Buster Holmes:
Tumblr media
Kiryu knows Majima's eyes have constantly been on him throughout the tournament. And so it's not even entirely subtle that he's making sure Majima's having a good time because all of this is basically a show Kiryu's putting on for his eyes, hoping it'd be impressive enough to convince him to come back to Tojo clan. But I'm willing to bet anything that some part of Kiryu thoroughly enjoyed that shit too.
Everyone and their mother knows what comes next, gay sex in a caged fight, but still I will never get tired of going absolutely bonkers over Majima's entry scene. Everything about it is just so powerful and sensual and just so fucking cool.
Tumblr media
It SCREAMS reciprocation. Majima is basically like 'Kiryu-chan gave me such a spectacular show it'd be such a shame not to return the favour' and then he just presents himself like THAT to Kiryu, in all his glory and asks him all smugly whether he likes the fucking view. That was so cunty of him UGH.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and Kiryu is just so fucking amused and he VERY MUCH VISIBLY likes what he's seeing. his body language, the way his voice drips with something dangerously close to fondness, that damn li'l smile like Kazuma Kiryu you're so fucking gay for this man it's embarrassing~
Their post-fight scene has a different fanbase altogether, because goddamnit Kiryu do be looking at Majima like he wants to wreak him all ways to Sunday.
Tumblr media
This is one of the few times through the 3 Yakuza games I've played that I've genuinely found Kiryu to be smokin' hot. Like I don't think he's EVER smirked like that at anyone, much less a female love interest. There's just so much going on on his face (bless the dragon engine graphics) and good GOD every bit of it is downright filthy.
He fucked that man, hard (or got dicked down within an inch of his life). PERIODT.
Sjsjdjdjrowjehejkeje I don't think we talk enough about Majima here. The way he looks down then slowly back up to Kiryu while a little smile plays on his lips, the way he lowers his voice to that sultry af tone and he invites Kiryu for a drink, almost as if it's an inside thing for them both, as if it's code for "hey, wanna fuck nasty on my desk?" And Kiryu, for once in his life, picks right up on that, and then fucking smirks like THAT because of course he wants to fuck, what kind of a question is that?
Like there's just no other feasible way to explain this interaction. Y'all know if this exact scene was between Kiryu and Sayama, they'd have been all over each other in the next scene.
But because it's SEGA's two leading men, they settled for the most obvious insinuation possible that it just makes it way more horny than if they'd just straight away fucked. I said what I said.

Ever since she waltzed into Kamurocho (as well as his life) nine years ago, Goro Majima made it a point to be the only person to take his daughter to and from the train station before and after school. Sure, he could easily order one of his subordinates to drive her around, but this was his daughter, his sweet baby girl who had a huge target on her back just by existing. It was his duty as her father and protector to ensure her safety when she wasn’t at school or home. That being said, there were occurrence where there was no way he could be there, so naturally, he sent his most trusted man to go in his place.
This most trusted man was obviously Nishida.
The sight of her father’s second-in-command waiting for her in front of an unmarked car was (ironically) not a strange sight for fifteen-year-old Renko. She knew Nishida quite well and trusted him just as much as Majima himself did (although the patriarch would never admit such a sentiment), but his appearance in what had mainly been her father’s place in her daily routine was setting off all the alarm bells in her head.
“Welcome home, Young Miss.” Nishida greeted Ren with a respectful bow of his head. “I hope your day was pleasant.”
Ren didn’t hesitate to voice her concern when she finally stopped a few steps in front of him. “Where’s my dad?”
The nerves were practically crystal clear on Nishida’s face. His eyes were averted to the side and his body language was tense, as if he was bracing for some sort of physical attack.
“The boss is a bit tied up at the moment.” He responded, just barely meeting her eyes. “So he sent me to collect you instead.”
Ren furrowed her brows. “’Tied up’? Can you be more specific?”
“Uh…” Nishida hesitated before quickly turning on his heel and opening the backseat passenger door. “He wants me to bring you home without delay. We should get going.”
Even a blind person could see how obvious Nishida was trying to avoid the question, but Ren followed his request and climbed into the back seat. Nishida wasted no time in getting in the driver’s seat and pulling the car from the curb.
“Are you just not going to tell me what’s going on?” Asked Ren, the concern from before now starting to turn into anxiety.
“Not out in the open.” Nishida responded, staring ahead at the traffic before him. “Nishikiyama Family wandering about.”
Ren nodded. As much as Majima stretched himself thin to shield her from his true career as a high-ranking Yakuza, she wasn’t stupid. The man doesn’t have a single discreet bone in his body. I mean, was he genuinely trying to convince Ren he was just some self-made entrepreneur when he walked around in only a tacky snake-skin jacket and outdated leather pants?
“How bad is it?” Ren asked, now leaning forward as close to the driver’s seat as she could get.
Nishida pressed his lips into a thin line, still hesitating to disclose anything to the teenager. Maybe Majima ordered him to keep his mouth shut so her asking all these questions was making him go through some internal conflict?
But finally, when Nishida did speak the truth, Ren half wished he just kept his mouth shut.
“Your father’s in the hospital.”
Ren froze in her seat. Her dad? In the hospital? He hadn’t gone since before Kiryu-san was sent to prison (ironically because the former was doing something stupid in a failed attempt to impress the latter). Had something happen when she was in school? He was fine when he dropped her off. Or at least, he seemed fine. He didn’t have any major health issues as far as she was aware. But then again, if Majima was suffering from something, would he even tell her in the first place?
“He’s not dying or anything like that.” Nishida continued, most-likely to break the tense silence growing in the car. “Just got stabbed in a fight.”
“He got stabbed?” Ren’s voice rose to a volume that made Nishida flinch. “What the fuck was he doing? Scrapping with street kids for pocket change?”
“Language, Renko-san.” Nishida sighed as he pulled onto the street that would lead them to his boss’s apartment. “But no, he got ambushed by some members of a rival family. They thought they could get more recognition for pummeling and humiliating the notorious Mad Dog of Shimano.”
“So what did my dad do?”
“Took them all by himself. One against… five, I think? He managed to take them all down when an extra one came out of nowhere and got him in the gut with a blade.”
“Shi- Shoot.” Ren corrected herself just as Nishida gave her a look in the rear-view mirror. “When did all of this happen?”
“About three hours ago.” The car then made its final stop on the curb in front of luxurious-looking apartment building. “I am actually supposed to go pick him up when he gets discharged later, so you will have to stay home by yourself for a bit.”
Ren looked at the Yakuza with a confused look. “How do you know he’s getting discharged so soon?”
Nishida held up his phone. “Been getting regular updates from the guys still at the hospital with him. Luckily, the blade didn’t hit anything important and he just needed a few stitches.”
Ren’s shoulders slumped almost comically in relief. “Good… that’s good.” She then grabbed her schoolbag from the floorboard and shimmied her way across the backseat to the door facing the sidewalk. “Please call me when you’re on your way with him, okay?”
Nishida smiled warmly. “Of course. Take it easy until then, alright?”
“I’ll definitely try. Thanks, Nishida.” And with that, Ren slipped out of the car and made her way into the building.
————
It was a bit past midnight when Ren was awoken by a loud commotion coming from the living room. Rubbing her eyes, she threw on a sweater from a nearby chair and made her way out of her room just in time to catch a glimpse of an all-too-familiar snake-skin jacket. Sure enough, Majima was bracing himself against the kitchen counter when she came out into the main space, but there was a pained grimace on his face until he saw her, in which he forced his typically carefree grin.
“Renko-chan~!” Majima greeted his daughter with an attempted sing-song tone. “What are yah doin’ up so late? I thought yah conked out by now.”
Ren wasted no time approaching her father, smiling. “I was, but you woke me up.” She then scanned her eyes over his body for any visable signs of that day’s events. “Are you okay? Are you in any pain?”
Majima huffed, waving a hand dismissively. “Perfectly fine. Ya should have seen the poor bastards that jumped me. Had them crying for their mamas before I even broke a sweat.”
“I’m sure you did, dad.” Ren was now moving toward the stove. “Are you hungry then? Or maybe you want some tea? I can heat up a kettle and there’s leftover takoyaki in the fridge we can split.”
This quick succession of questions seemed to sober up Majima enough to frown at his daughter. “Since when do ya offer to make tea and share meals? You’ve always refused to touch the stove and threaten to claw my eye out if I even think about touching yer food.”
Ren shuffled her feet and scratched at her collarbone, a peculiar habit Majima knew she did when she was trying a hide something. “Well, you just got home and who knows what kind of garbage they tried to feed you at the hospital. I know you hate what they got and you love takoyaki. Besides, after all that’s happened today, I’m fine with sharing it.”
Majima was frowning now, but it wasn’t an angry dad frown. It was a concerned dad frown, and a frown Ren knew very well. Majima was always concerned about her, scared that something bad was happening and she was refusing to tell him. He had the same frown when she didn’t tell him about how she had been catcalled by some guys on the street (what led to him escorting her everywhere) or when she lied about how she was being bullied by some girls in her class (which then resulted in her switching homerooms). If she didn’t tell him about what was going on in her life, how was he supposed to fix all the bad things?
“Were ya worried about me today?” Majima asked, dropping his voice into its natural lower tone, something he did during the rare moments it was just them two at home.
Ren felt the pain in her throat before her eyes welled up with tears. She let out a soft hiccuping sound, making Majima push himself off the counter and make his way around the counter to pull her into a tight one-armed hug. He didn’t care if the contact was making his still-sensitive stitches throb, all he was focusing on was how his little girl was tightly grasping his jacket and the soft weeping emanating from her.
“It’s alright, kid.” He attempted to soothe her while pressing his cheek into her hair. “I’m still here. Nothin’s gonna take me out anytime soon. I promise. You got nothin’ to worry about.”
The two of them stayed like this until Ren’s weeping dissolved into soft breathing and she finally pushed herself away from his chest. Majima’s heart ached at the sight of strands of black hair sticking to his daughter’s red tear-stained face.
“Please stop getting into stupid fights.” She managed to murmur, looking up weakly at her father. “I don’t wanna come home and hear that something worse happened.”
Majima didn’t speak immediately. He couldn’t promise to not fight anymore smartass punks that decide to go toe-to-toe with him, but maybe he can tone down on seeking them out for an adrenaline hit? It’s just been so long since he’s actually had a decent equal brawl that left his heart racing and feeling what it was really like to be alive. His dear Kiryu-chan has been in the slammer for five years now, and there wasn’t a day that went by that he didn’t miss him (of course, he would never admit such a thing to anyone, even his own kid).
After a few more moments of silence, Majima sighed. “Alright, sweetheart. I’ll stop pickin’ fights, but only because it bothers yah so much. Don’t want yah losing sleep over your old man tryin’ to fighting everyone on the street.”
Ren took a deep breath before a soft smile formed on her lips. “Thanks, dad.”
“Anythin’ for you, kid. Now, you should really head to bed. Got a big day ahead of yah.”
Ren groaned. “It’s just another boring day at school.”
Majima scoffed. “Haw? You think ‘m sending yer ass to school tomorrow? Nah, yer stayin’ here with me for the day. Need someone to look after me while I’m healin’ up.”
“But I really shouldn’t miss anymore school-“
“Oh, so yah want to go to school tomorrow?”
“I didn’t say that.”
A few chuckles were shared between the father and daughter before Ren finally let out a long yawn. She didn’t even try to deny it before she was pressing her forehead into Majima’s chest, which made him chuckle again and give her head an affectionate pat.
“Goodnight, dad.”
“Night, kid. Sweet dreams.”
And with that, Ren stepped around her father and shuffled her way back down the hall and into her bedroom. Once Majima heard the sound of her bedroom door clicking shut, he slumped against the counter once again, letting out a long exhausted sigh.
He didn’t like making his little girl upset, but this kind of shit came with the job. If he had sent her back to Osaka when she first showed up…
He shook his head, dismissing the thought. No, he was gonna do better. He had to do better.
Anything for his kid.

I loved the question you got for Aizen and wanted to ask the same for Majima: Do you think Majima would be a toxic boyfriend? I honestly think he'd do some toxic, immature things unintentionally. What toxic things do you think he'd do or say to his partner?
Ohhh good question!! Honestly, yes I think Majima would be a toxic boyfriend, but definitely NOT for the same reasons as Aizen.
Tumblr media
TW: discussion about violence, mention of domestic violence, abortion
Majima is someone who has been through so much. Joining the Yakuza at a young age, having his kyodai in prison for 25+ years, while he himself, experienced The Hole, being Shimano's bitch while acting as a Captain for the family, then getting his own family. Life was not kind to him, and he definitely tried to make the most of it as a yakuza member.
I definitely agree with you anon, he would do a lot of toxic/immature things unconsciously, but that's because - at least for Majima, it does come out of self-preservation. He lived in an environment where it truly was one-man for himself (in a way). He had to not only be unhinged to survive it, but also become ruthless to his own men in his family. It's quite lonely, you know? He has violent tendencies, has probably killed people in his work, slapped Mirei Park when she aborted his child, let alone dating her when she was 18 and he was in his late 20s!
Majima is also someone who thinks he is better off alone for the safety of the people he cares about. We see this in Yakuza 0, Kiwami 2, Yakuza 4 and 5: He left Sunshine without telling Yuki, Youda and the other hostess, did not say anything to Makoto after the events of Yakuza 0, is implied to not have looked or sought out Yasuko (even though he cared for her deeply like an older brother), completely cut off contact with Mirei after he hit her/the abortion, and faked his death for Saejima and Kiryu's safety.
While he does care for his men, Saejima, Kiryu, etc. through his actions you can see that he believes that they're better off without him. So I think if something were to happen to his partner because of their ties to him/association with the Yakuza, he would ghost them.
Also in the Kiwami 2 Majima Construction mini game, Majima admits that he thinks he looks old and would scare off potential dates. So he's also insecure about that - I think it would make him apprehensive to be with someone if he doesn't believe them when they find him handsome.
I think if he had a partner and he wanted them to be safe without him, he would cheat on them - giving them a reason to end the relationship with him. He doesn't seem like someone to communicate his feelings at all, if anything, avoids that if possible.
Similar to Aizen, he is lonely, but Majima resigned himself to this loneliness. He decided to stay in the Yakuza, and he knew what kind of pain and hardships would come along with that. In his own twisted logic, he thinks having a partner like him would be unfair to the other person - as they deserve someone much better than him.
While he can monetarily provide whatever material gift they want, maybe some physical connection too, I think Majima would be reluctant to connect to a partner emotionally - even if he wants too. His "mask" built during his time in the Yakuza has really skewed his view of himself.
We can see with how he is with Saejima and Kiryu that he cares deeply, that is emotionally sensitive and attuned, but Saejima and Kiryu know the Yakuza life and what that entails, so Majima's "mask" is off - whether a partner can experience that is another story and how much Majima would want this partner to know about the yakuza life.
Tumblr media
Thank you for this ask! Sorry for the ramble haha. TL;DR: Majima and Aizen are both lonely men, but for completely different reasons! Majima wants what's best for his partner, and that can be in a world without him.

I got possessed by spirit of drawing and did more of my RGG x TES crossover. I should make a tag for it. Again, some lore under the cut, now about Majima (Goro), Taiga and Makoto
This one is more lore heavy than the Kazuma and his siblings. I'm afraid all of this would seem like the actual RGG characters' backstories but with TES skin on it, but hey, I like their actual story and yeah maybe I lack originality so what, it's my crossover, I can keep any part of RGG cannon I want. Also I'm keeping the Taiga stuff more vague as I'm still playing Y4, where Taiga makes his first appearance and I'm not on his part of game yet, so I can still change stuff
Goro is an Ashlander from a small tribe that was wiped out by mainland dunmer. He was spared because the killers wanted to take him as a slave (Goro was a child when that happened). But then he was rescued (accidentally) by a strong and powerful orc. Goro wanted to follow that orc, but the orc just shoo'd him away, for now. Then Goro met Khajiit siblings, Taiga and Yasuko (who themselves were escaping being trafficked), and ever since travelled with them.
The boys were offering themselves as mercenaries in their teen years and did a lot of dirty jobs, until they met that same orc, who then accepted the boys into his outlaw group called The Dogs of Shimano. The orc is Shimano himself, of course.
While things were going alright for three of them, the boys wanted more and did stuff behind Shimano's back for additional cash. They had a plan to have enough money to live a normal life without crime. But, when they were ordered to do a hit on a group of people, it turned out it was a wrong move to make. Both of them were punished, Goro had his eye gouged out but Taiga was sent to Deadlands. The mage that sent him away mocked that only he knew where Taiga is at all time
Goro made a plea and was spared but basically became a slave to one of Shimano's friends (yes, Sagawa). If he ever wanted to save Taiga, unfortunately he had to endure everything and ask nicely later. So, Goro's master turned out to be a vampire. Goro had to put on a show, entertain other vampires and sometimes be fed on by his master. One day he was given a mission...
Makoto is half bosmer half dunmer (her mother is bosmer). Her parents were vampires and after having two children, the mother wanted to cure the whole family and live a normal life. The father disagreed. Anyway, the mother took the kids with her. Eventually she managed to cure herself and Makoto but the eldest child ran away, still a vampire. Even though Makoto is mortal, her blood is still powerful and would be beneficial for any vampire to drink. Makoto moved to Morrowind when she grew up. One day she was kidnapped. He took her to place with other people, where all of them were going to be sold. She was forced to drink something and then, after all the stress and the poison, she became blind.
She was rescued and lived relatively normally, until suddenly she became a target for vampires.
Goro was tasked to bring her to his master, so he would feast on her blood, but Goro just couldn't do it. They ran away with a whole big story to tell in which both Goro and Makoto ended up relatively fine. Goro was no longer a slave but returned working for Shimano (also Shimano confirmed that Taiga is still alive somewhere in Deadlands). Makoto was no longer chased by horde of vampires and regained her sight back, also got in touch with her brother again. Unfortunately, Goro and Makoto had to be apart and never meet each other (it relates to the plot I have in mind, which deviates a little bit from canon reason why these two can't see each other)

(same anon from yesterday) when i got into rgg i assumed kiryu/majima was a ship that didn't have much basis beyond "two guys who know each other" and boy was i wrong about that. even in the original 2005 version of the game without the majima everywhere system there comes a point where you're like oh.... oh this is real
hi again kazumaji veteran shipper i really appreciate u coming back with another ask bc the ship is? ??? its delicious. but also surprisingly layered with chemistry
like you said i too was similarly leaning towards that idea, but more 'okay maybe theres a lot of circumstantial stuff bringing them together and strengthening thier bond as they get to really know each other' and not like. this level of layered inherent thirst, craving, yearning and fuckery, all unconcious or not mostly from majima's side.
it sure is. real. something is really up in there. not familiar with the ps2 version yet but. im pretty sure majima being the only one going gaga whenever he and kiryu fight as opposed to everyone else doing it as a job or an annoyance it. it sure says something!! for sure!!
theres also the DoD abilities in y1k that sure has unusual phrasing happening from kiryu's (menu) end. the connection between them is what will awaken kiryu's abilities? okay sure. the hint art splash given for where to find majima giving off vague JAV cover vibes? ...hello?
also the other thought i have right now is that i dont think kiryu knows majima on a deeper personal level. sure he reads the eyepatch guy well enough to know that he can trust him, but i sense that majima wears that mask and never goes in too deep spilling his heart out to kiryu due to him possibly reading kiryu as. not as interested? or busy? unable to recipocrate? lack of strong interest? ofc im missing the bigger context of 1-6 so and im slowly chewing through y1k, it'll be some time before i arrive at a proper full reading at whats going on between these 2 :v
also another thing i just realized is makoto recognizing people by voice thing... theres a chance kiryu also recognized ichiban having a similar voice to nishiki.
all this really makes me think being majima is suffering...
this is too fucking real it's やばい

Majima versus Omi
Where Majima, once again, went on a self-sacrificial crusade to help someone he cares about. Yaaay.
But really, after talking about Tachibana siblings and discovering how close his and Kiryu’s experience and pain from that time are, Majima was quite disoriented. After all, Kiryu's already was a pretty integral part of his life and played a big role in Majima getting his freedom. And then this, too? Knowing they share this soul crushing experience they literally can’t share with anyone else? Ohboy, that’s a lot.
Sure, Majima made a lot of progress in getting his life back, and living for himself, even left yakuza and everything. But progress is not linear, and the sudden weight of care he doesn’t know what to do with made him backslide a bit. Made Majima go out on a stubborn limb and try protecting Kiryu (and all of his own men), by taking out the whole wave of Omi invasion all by himself. Sure, he pulled it off, but barely. Sadly, the hard hat can’t save from all the concussions.
And not to be that guy, but all the reservations about physical contact went out of the window when Kiryu rushed to hold Majima. And how he held him, uh oh.
Poor Majima, struggling to stay alert through the concussion and knowing there’s a wholeass woman there with them, really tried to apply the suave flirting game. This was very funny, they should've expanded on that, Majima probably rambled all the way Kaoru carried him to the hospital..
And we’re so here for that.
– Majima: you know what they say about hips!.. gotta have a good grasp on them! Kaoru, who has a figure if a solid stick:
- Majima be like: you're the nicest smelling woman I've met, very alluring And Kaoru: I've just spilled a beer on myself half an hour before, trying to eat grilled ribs as fast as I can to make it to the meeting with Kiryu in time Majima: mmmm… ribs……. I bet mine are fucked up hahahahh
– Majima, way later: and then I saw the boobs so beautiful I blacked out Kaoru: but you were talking all the way I was carrying you to the doctor's office? Majima: you were there???? Kaoru:
She really wanted to hit him, but he had enough. He's still not quite there fully, lots of painkillers for the ribs.
– Majima: if I die… you tell Kiryu (says something so embarrassing the nurse turns purple)
It needs to be something pathetic, desperate, and gay.
Like: “Nishida has the will, it's all legal, all yours, watch over the boys, I'll be watching you from the pits of hell and beyond, so you better not have that little scowl thing going on for me, you better be happy, yes. Also you should have more buttons on the shirt open, pls, I'll be watching, pop some open for me sometimes, that's my dying wish ._,”
He is sobbing a little and is ready to go on talking till he reaches his actual last words.
(if something happens to Majima, the people from his family are all getting settled too, ofc. everyone is covered)
Kaoru: I'm not saying all that. you ain't gonna die, get a grasp, bitch. Majima: fair. I would love to get a grasp of Kiryu before I die. Kaoru: of Kiryu's what? Majima, trying to make hand motions: of all of him… Kaoru: I think it's called a hug. Majima, tearing up: a hug…
– Majima will get a hell of a hospital visit later. Nishida would cry. Stoically, but obviously.
Oh, and in private he furiously asked him why. Why did he do this? And Majima answers, curtly and matter of fact: “Well. Kiryu is safe, ain’t he? And can do what he needs to do.” And this is. Really something.
Nishida watched Majima go from “I won't sit near him at lunch” straight to doing the most extreme shit for Kiryu. “For Tojo clan” my ass, he already left that circus.
Nishida thinks that Kiryu believes in the boss's power to survive… too firmly. This is a strong callback to the pier. Kiryu is too caught up in Majima’s energy of being able to crawl back out of anything. If Kiryu really believed that Majima got hurt really badly in the fight with Omi, he wouldn’t’ve pushed him onto Kaoru.
And maybe with the new Tachibana context Majima decided that he needs to be the guy who Doesn’t Die on Kiryu. You know. But he kinda missed the part where he got caught in the exact situation Tachibana was in. Kiryu believed that Tachibana could handle this terrible thing on his own for a bit, and went to do other things, and it ended in tragedy.
Oh Kiryu holding the person dear to him, while they bleed out in his arms, because he was too late. Yumi, Kazama, Rina – this list keeps growing ever since Tachibana, isn’t it.
And now Kiryu is clearly not thinking through his blind faith in Majima’s survival rates. Do you think he’ll be angry when Nishida, who’s very upset now, will tell him that he’s not seeing things clearly? Angry at himself, obviously. And a little bit at Majima, for doing this. (It is a mess of feelings, huh)
Nishida really needs to say something though. Because Kiryu believing in the legendary strong and smart Majima-san, the best manager and untouchable fighter is straight up infantalistic behaviour.
Majima generally wants to help people. He’s very good at it. But his self destructive urges  get tangled in this too. He is also still repenting.
It can be a real hit for Kiryu – to realise that he was dragging Majima to the Mad Dog life without ever calling him that. Kiryu was doing to Majima what everyone did to him with the Dragon of Dojima expectations that are impossible to shake off because, well. Kiryu is also repenting.
So, for now, all Kiryu can do is come visit Majima in the hospital.

Tojoctober Day 10 - Boss
(Raise hell and turn it up)
Alt title is from “Don’t Threaten Me with A Good Time” by Panic! at the Disco
Retelling of one of the best scenes in the series: the bomb cutscene from Kiwami 2. This time, from Nishida’s perspective!
(no spoilers, though the cutscene takes place in Chapter 15 of K2, if that matters to you)
—----------------
Timer ticks fill the air around us. My boss, Goro Majima, is in a squat in front of the bomb, while I'm laying on my back on the right side of the bomb.
Yeah, you heard me, a bomb.
When Majima-san ran up to me with a wild look and wire cutters, shouting about defusing a bomb and saving the fate of the city, I partially didn't believe him. But no, here I am.
Risking my life.
Again.
Wires of multiple colors all protrude from the bomb. Red, white, yellow, blue, black, but nothing that says “cut me, I’ll defuse the bomb!” We've already tried multiple times, and no action has produced a result.
I see Majima-san focus, tapping the bridge of his nose, right at his eyeline.
“The red one!” he shouts, pointing towards the bomb.
“Yes, sir.” I replied. This is the 7th time Majima-san’s said this, but whatever the boss wants, the boss gets.
Nervously, with my shaking hands, I cut the wire that Majima-san pointed out.
Nothing.
Again.
Damn it.
Well, I didn't blow up, so I let myself relax a little bit.
“Neeext… Let’s go blue!”
“Y-yes sir.”
My hands shake again, and I almost miss, but I snip the blue wire.
Nothing again.
I take a sharp breath of relief. Maybe I’ll survive the day after all…
“What’s up? Ya got gas or somethin’?” Majima-san asks, making me focus on him.
“N-no sir.” I replied. “I was just thinking about my mother, back in the country.”
“What’s yer momma got to do with this bomb!?” he retorts, gesturing towards the ticking timer. I mean, he has a point… do I really have to explain myself?
“No, it’s just… She lives by herself, so if something were to happen to me…” I state, awaiting a knife to the shoulder.
“That’s why we’re stoppin’ it, numbnuts!” Majima-san answers.
“B-but boss..” I start, moving my hand up towards my head. “Does doing this really tell you how the wiring works?” I ask, tapping my own finger to the bridge of my nose, mimicking him. I wasn't even sure what it was for, but if anything, I was curious.
“You for real!?” The boss yells, seemingly offended, but then he continues his outburst, “How the fuck should I know how this tangly-ass rainbow shit works!?” Majima-san gestures wildly towards the bomb once again, all of the cut wires protruding off of it like a mess of hair.
“But we gotta handle it, so I’m here, puttin’ my instincts to work.” he taps the bridge of his nose again, more forcibly this time.
Everything clicks in my head.
You've got to be fucking kidding me.
“Instincts!?” I said in disbelief. “This is all instinct!?”
“What’s that? Ya don’t trust my instincts?” the boss asks, his voice dripping with venom.
Oh dear. Anything but that.
“N-no… It’s not that, sir!” I quickly said, backtracking a bit. Anything in order to not get violently attacked while there's a bomb we need to worry about.
Thankfully, what I said did the trick. Majima-san’s attitude reverts just as quickly as it changed. “Then let’s get back to work!”
“Yes, sir!” I replied, a bit of relief creeping into my voice. I look at the bomb, and…
Oh no.
Nonononono.
Is our luck really this shitty?
“Um, boss… There’s only two left.”
“Yeah?” the boss replies. He goes to work at his “instinct” again, which makes me really worried. But then, his frustration wins out.
“Aww, fuck this!” Majima-san shouts, throwing his hand away from his face. He’s then struck with a great idea. He starts bobbing his finger between the two wires that remain.
What the hell.
“Eenie-meenie-miney-mo, oh-god-which-one-isn’t-gonna-blow?”
He sings with a bit of a strain, his finger stopping on the left side of the bomb.
Majima-san. Why?
“This one.” he says, shifting back to his serious tone. “Gimme red!”
“Boss!” I said with understandably great concern, “This is a life-or-death decision here! Can we take it a little more seriously!?”
“Shut it, nimwit! I said gimme red!” Majima-san shouts back. He squat-walks towards me, which would be funny if the man couldn’t snap me like a twig. “Gimme those!” he commands, swiping the wire cutters from my hands. Majima-san sets the cutter to the wire he selected, and me, being terrified for my life… Well, I shriek and cower away from the bomb.
I hear the snip of a wire.
Nothing.
The timer ticking… stops.
Holy shit.
I let out a shaky breath of relief.
"See! Just like that! Wasn't so hard, was it?"
For once, I hold my tongue. If only he knew…
"You're incredible, boss. Good job."

Hi, im very sorry if this has already been answered or established somewhere else but im curious, with your Kazumaji stuff, around what time did they start dating (i.e. after the events of Yakuza 0 and all that) and how?
tbh, I dunno!
I don't really have an established date for that cuz sometimes I'm like man they'd be really cute during y0 and then other times I set it between post y0 and the beginning of y1. The latest they would start me thinks is some months after the events of y1 but in general it sorta depends on how I'm feeling and what silly scenarios play in my head
ideas under the cut tho 👀
Tumblr media
if we're talking y0: I like to think Kiryu has to go to Sotenbori for some reason, be it business or he's there with Nishiki for some partying. he sees Majima at the Grand being depressed and is like "damn girl those bags under your eyes makes my dick go *boing sound effect*" and asks him out 🥺 Kiryu gets rejected immediately cuz Majima's in this cycle of 'I deserve nothing but pain and suffering' but Kiryu can't read the room so he is persistently showing up at the Grand despite Majima very obviously wanting to kick his ass. eventually he relents and goes on cute™ dates with Kiryu and realizes oof maybe human intimacy be kinda gucci
Tumblr media
if between y0 and y1: Majima's fresh in his mad dog era starting shit with people just to be annoying and Kiryu's one of his targets mainly due to the events of y0. he's kinda like "lol this goober really did some important plot stuff, huh?" and his curiosity gets the better of him because Kiryu is an enigma who eats bugs and Majima cannot suppress his need to get some sense of understanding on this weirdo. in this timeline, it's more one-sided affection from Majima that comes in the form of stabbing while Kiryu is desperately trying to fight the gay allegations and failing. eventually he caves but it's a sorta unofficial, on and off thing that Kiryu doesn't really know how to evaluate for himself. Majima doesn't really care what they are since he's high on life atm and has a cute dude with big boobs on his arm
Tumblr media
if during y1: literally just everything Majima Everywhere. Goromi. GOROMI 😩💦 Kiryu is all: I LIKE PUSSY but everyone's like okay big man then why's Majima pole dancing for you huh. the two braincells he has start to click and he realizes maybe Majima wants to hold hands or something unthinkable like that. ngl I like to think Kiryu's thing for Yumi is like a demisexual bi thing where he's like, I do love her but she don't zap my brain quite like the bowlcut freak who knows how to punch me real good and it becomes sorta his personal introspective journey during this time. Majima is also floating in the space of am I doing this for his benefit cuz "training" or am I falling for this dork. he's pretty sad about it cuz of the Saejima reminder vibes but eventually Kiryu falls into his own person that Majima really meshes with and the two of them struggle to actually voice how they feel all the while their pants are down in some dirty alley
Tumblr media
if after y1: (going to insert shit from a fic I'm working on) Kiryu's absolutely devastated with what happened in the Millennium Tower + now having to take care of Haruka that he's shut himself off from everyone and everything other than doing the bare minimum to live. in comes Majima being a menace like yo you can't like, let a child parent herself you gotta get outta this slump and Kiryu's all fuck you stop breaking into my house. so it's a long pain in the ass process to help Kiryu deal with his grief while Majima keeps unintentionally making googoo eyes at him and both of them are like boy I sure hope this doesn't awaken anything within me. there's also a lotta dadjima stuff going on and Kiryu's like wowie zowie so you do have a heart and Majima's like no way loser while being just 😳👉👈

Top 5 Yakuza moments?
Ooo I gotta think about this, there are a lot of great or memorable moments in the series.
Spoilers follow for Infinite Wealth, Yakuza 0, Yakuza 3 and Yakuza 5, including things relating to some of their endings and reveals.
5. Ichiban asking Kiryu to promise he's not going to go die in the final fight. I think it's a fear every player had, with the sacrifice plays Kiryu has made time and time again, and with how sick he is, it seemed almost inevitable. But Kiryu rarely breaks a promise to someone he respects, and Ichiban made him promise just what he needs to, he knew.
Tumblr media
4. Kiryu putting on the classic suit for the first time at the end of Yakuza 0 and Majima putting on the snakeskin jacket. Not just in a 'oh look it's their classic looks!' kind of way, but in how it mirrors the ending of the game. Yakuza 0 is a tragedy, because our protagonists don't actually win their struggle. They win their final boss fights, but they're both nobody in the hierarchy of this crime world and neither of them have real power, and those that do, the ones they've been struggling against all game, still get what they want in the end. More or less. Sure one of the bad guys gets snubbed out of a deal but he still has power in the long run, and the others at the top gain even more power from Kiryu and Majima's fruitless efforts against them
Tumblr media
3. Yakuza 3's opening scene for it's bait and switch on what we've come to expect from the series and Kiryu as a character. Here's the tough criminal being a soft caretaker for an orphanage, and it's a good look for him. Kiryu came to be a lot more complex by the time the early games got remade so I don't think the full effect of this is felt for new players, but in the original 2 games he was more of an action anti-hero guy in an edgy story. So it was a big flip on the script.
Tumblr media
2. Other people dislike it but, Haruka's speech at the end of 5 about what really matters most to her, more than her career. How she just wants her family back, her dad back. And she decides to chase that instead of her dream of being an idol. The scene is straight from the heart, and it has it's own special interplay with the game's theme of chasing dreams.
Tumblr media
The gay sex happening immediately after this fade to black.
Tumblr media
Ok jk it's actually Majima being trapped in the cycle of abuse at the end of 0. It hurts so bad and you as the player want him to just fire that gun so fucking badly, but you know why he doesn't. And it breaks your heart.

Hello! How about playing pocky game with the boys? For some guys it definitely would be an adorable clumsiness (or clumsy adorableness?)
OMG I haven't thought about the pocky game since I was in high school lol of course u can, thanks for ur patience btw
Kazuma Kiryu
Either hasn't thought about this game in years or doesn't even know what it is. Learns by trying it out. Kind of blushes every time the pocky stick breaks. When it does break, he just kind of slowly nibbles it in silence.
Majima Goro
Has inhaled the pocky stick in one bite just to kiss you. Ain't no snack getting in the way of the REAL snack. Which is you. If you didn't know. Fun fact.
Saejima Taiga
Knows what it is and kind of chuckles, saying "That takes me back". Totally would stare you down during it to intimidate you because it makes you flustered and he thinks that's cute.
Akiyama Shun
Absolutely down for the challenge and will do his darn best to succeed cuz he wants that kiss dammit! If the stick breaks, he'll just ask you to play again with the now shortened stick.
Tanimura Masayoshi
Kind of has a childish excitement about it as he's known of the game but never really tried it before. Plus, snacks are involved. He loves those. Almost as much as he loves you. He's not good at it though, breaks it a lot but keeps asking for a rematch.
Ryuji Goda
This big-heart-small-brain gorilla of a man will just bite straight through the stick on the first attempt, saying something about how he thought he was supposed to eat it. Turns out he just misheard the instructions. It's totally funny to you until he figures out how it ACTUALLY works, then watch out. He is getting that kiss if it takes him all day.
Nishikiyama Akira
Actually one of the few boys that might initiate the game with you. Also the type of guy if you ask him to play to say something like "Ah, you want a kiss that badly? Hmmm... okay, let's do it."
Daigo Dojima
Our shy and innocent Daigo has heard of the game but never got the chance to try it in high school, likely out of shyness. He looks super calm doing it, as he always looks doing most things these days, but inside he's like "Man, I hope I don't screw this up..." In a way, that classic stoicness kind of only makes him hotter, so it's really just up to who finds the other person hotter more to win at this game.
Mine Yoshitaka
The concept of the pocky game is befuddling and fascinating to him. He's thinking "A game using food? For kissing?... Huh??" But what the heck, he'll try it if only as an excuse to be in close proximity to you.
Tatsuo Shinada
Also one of the few boys who might initiate this game with you. If he knows that you're open to the idea of playing it, then whenever he happens to be eating pocky as a snack he'll just offer the idea up playfully. Loses a LOT though, he is NOT good at it.
Ichiban Kasuga
The last of the boys to likely initiate this game, mostly as a cute means to get closer to you. He'll say something like "Hey, remember that game all the kids used to play back in high school? Wonder if anyone still does that..." Uses strawberry pocky because he thinks it's cuter that way somehow.
Tianyou Zhao
Doesn't initiate but wouldn't turn down the opportunity to try it. After the first time, literally everytime you buy pocky, he'll be like "Ah, are we playing that again?" just to get a flustered reaction out of you. Also the type of guy to hold a piece of pocky dangling out of his mouth at you to tease you. He's a silly head.
Joon-Gi Han
The concept is lost on him, at least verbally and conceptually. Does not understand why you don't just kiss normally and eat the pocky normally. It isn't until he's physically giving it a try that he's like "Oh... I get it".

@mjm5655 sent: [VENGEFUL] for haruka from majima. :3c emotion drabble | accepting [VENGEFUL] - a drabble where revenge is in the picture.
Everything had quieted down since the funeral reception had ended. A lot of people had left, while some were still sticking around to help the Morning Glory kids take care of the house and themselves while they were all grieving. They were grateful for that help. That help gave Haruka some time to sit out in the yard by herself.
Every time she heard Haruto cry, her heart clenched. She wanted her baby so badly. But he was okay. She needed time to herself right now.
Haruka's head lifted from where she'd been blankly staring at the dirt when she heard the slow sound of steps approaching. More than just a single set, she noticed. The neighborhood was quiet. Not many people really drove up their cars around this area, so she assumed that it was just more of the same. Passersby. Maybe neighbors coming home.
Yet as she finally got a look at the three figures approaching the orphanage, Haruka couldn't help how her expression would harden. She knew Uncle Kaz had trusted all three of them, but in truth? She couldn't really bring herself to trust anyone but Daigo.
"Ah, Haruka-chan..." Daigo spoke up first, his voice low and soft spoken like usual. The three of them stepped closer to the yard, entering in and stopping not far past that.
"We wanted to offer our sincerest condolences. Kiryu-san was a great man." His face held the most emotion to it. Like a man that was actually upset, saddened by the death. All the while, Saejima and Majima's expressions were similar, but different. Saejima's was as stoic as ever. Haruka wasn't sure she'd ever seen a different expression on his face. Majima's, on the other hand, looked irritated. A little sad, but mostly irritated. It had started to annoy Haruka.
"You don't need to be here. You three don't have any obligation toward us."
"...We don't, but we thought it was only right to at least offer our help in any way we can offer it."
"We don't need any help."
Majima finally looked Haruka in the face, scowling a bit at the attitude they'd been shown. Holding back a bite of his own, because of how abundantly clear that she was grieving, apparently. This was just part of it, the anger.
"My apologies." Daigo was the one keeping things together in anyway he could. He could at least somewhat empathize. He was the same age as she was when he'd lost his biological father, though he couldn't say he was necessarily as upset as Haruka likely was about Kiryu. "We didn't mean to intrude."
"I understand you, Daigo-san. What I don't understand is the two of you. But especially you, Majima-san." Her gaze locked with his.
"Gotta problem, kiddo?" He asked, voice tight. "Y'ain't stupid. Y'know why we're here. Ki--"
"Did you know I had nightmares about you?"
"...Hah?"
"About your dagger in my face. About you smacking a bat into Uncle Kaz's skull. I don't get... how you two were friends, really."
Majima's expression softened just a touch. Right. She'd just been a little brat when all this shit started up for her. It was hard to remember that sometimes, since she'd been a constant ever since then.
"And I know... I know what happened with Park-san."
Majima's brow immediately furrowed, his scowl deepening. He hadn't heard her name since she was killed a few years ago. In that moment, defensiveness came out of his mouth first.
"Y'don't know shit. That shit ain't yer business, anyway."
"Maybe it isn't. But I think that's a good enough reason not to want you here, Majima-san."
Narrowing his gaze at her, Majima found himself without a real rebuttal. What could he say? Couldn't really blame her for being upset, especially not now. With Saejima and Daigo's watchful eyes on him now, Majima would just quietly nod his head toward her.
"Fine," He grumbled. "Don't gotta fuckin' tell me twice..."
