hello fren :3 what's your favorite scene in rwby?

thank you for asking!! i knew the answer to this immediately and it kinda hurt me (the answer did) bc i have a long ass post in my drafts from before v8 talking about my favorite scene in rwby and then my hopes for volume 8. lets just say it aged poorly. anyways!

my favorite scene in rwby is the "you idiot" scene, i posted it a couple days ago actually.

reasons:

metal tit out

the way you can see james' face change when he realizes qrow is not in fact aiming for him.

you can count it, james stares at qrow in slo-mo for ten straight seconds (more like gay seconds)

qrow saving james' life

"heh, you idiot, i know you didn't do this" (because obviously james why would you do this). qrow SMILES at him after they fought and danced around each other this whole season.

"so what now, general?" qrow, who previously makes a big deal about how he's not one of james' special operatives and how he has no obligation to listen to him, makes a point to give him control in this situation when he is clearly lacking it (his robots are hacked, his airship hijacked, his clothes torn off in what must have been a very sexy show-down). throwback to "jimmy" "general!" "whatever!" and flash forward to "if you don't want to believe that i'm friends with ironwood" "general ironwood!" "yeah, general ironwood, then fine." which is the only other time he calls him that.

basically it just shows that they care about and respect each other and that qrow, to some extent, understands james and what he was feeling in that situation. also this is the last time they see each other before volume 7 which gives a lot of potential for angst.

they have passionate gay sex after this though

I feel like this is something I should bring attention to, considering how embedded into the TOH proship community they are:

@Fenwis/asexuelf is pro-para/pro-MAP. They've admitted it to me on multiple occasions in the past. I used to be friends with them and thought I could ignore it, but it got to the point where I could no longer do that - that would have made *me* pro-para/MAP as well, I realised.

tbh the thing that pisses me off the most about the "pansexuality is transphobic because every sexuality includes nonbinary people!" crap is that, as a nonbinary person, i can speak for ages about how many people - especially monosexual lesbians - find me completely disgusting as a bigender dyke. there are tons of bisexual people that are also only into women/enbies or men/enbies and refusing to accept nonbinary people as having our own unique identities is so,, frustrating. i'm not Funny Gorl Pretending To Be Genderless, i'm equally a woman and a man! and i'm every ugly, complicated, political wyrm inbetween

the whole "every sexuality includes nonbinary people" completely ignores that there are people who aren't attracted to nonbinary people, or only certain nonbinary people, and it also erases the nonbinary people who aren't comfortable being included in certain sexualities or attractions.

people just need to stop making sweeping generalizations. especially if they're only making them in order to put down a group of queer people.

also. the idea that pan is transphobic because other sexualities include nonbinary people too is weird because where in the definition of pan does it say that pan is the only nonbinary inclusive sexuality lmao people just legit make shit up in order to get mad.

hey, i saw that you have mcas and was wondering if you could help me out x_x i recently figured out that my weird allergies most likely are related to mcas concurrent with my eds but i got a new symptom a few days ago... a freckle-y rash that's supposed to itch, but doesn't really. do you know how long a non-fatal mcas reaction should last? o_O i can't find the information anywhere and it's been 24 hours by now

Rashes are common with MCAS, unfortunately. I had a rash that appeared on my face three months ago that won’t go away. Doesn’t itch unless I’m reacting to something else, but I’ve not been able to figure out what’s causing it yet. 

Depending on your climate, it could also just be a dry skin rash due to cold weather/your heating making the air dryer, which most people are prone to anyway, but MCAS and EDS skin seems more prone to. Heat and cold are triggers for MCAS, so it’s possible your skin is just pissed at the change in season.

So to answer your question? It’s a bit of a crapshoot. Some people develop rashes that never go away, some of us have rashes that come and go. I have no idea when you originally sent this, but I hope by now it has cleared up, or you at least have some relief. Take care!

I mean I can’t speak for everyone else, but in my case, I’m not laughing at the fans, here. I’m laughing at how pathetic it is that the writers of Supernatural thought this was a good idea in the year of our lord 2020. Like I’m just sitting here imagining them patting themselves on the back for literally confirming queerness in the worst possible way, and meanwhile not even Supernatural’s remaining fans are happy, because of course they’re not, this is awful.

So like, in a way, I am pissed? Despite not caring about the show? But also how could I possibly be surprised, from what I understand the Supernatural writers have never given any indication they are capable of anything better than this
